A short version of the guide, how to replace the timing belt kit and crankshaft simering sealant

What will we need?

Timing belt set, 2 guide rollers, idler pulley, timing belt, water pump, crankshaft screw, manual, Continental ContiTech company

Torque wrench - range 20-110Nm YATO or other

5 liters cooler fluid

Simering crankshaft sealer Elring

Spray, degreasing liquid, eg for cleaning brake discs

Universal YATO timing lock to block gears when replacing the belt

Set of socket wrenches, hex keys, torx wrenches and extensions

Safety gloves

We're getting to work;), see THE WHOLE VIDEO. The channel is also full version without acceleration.

I recommend buying all parts in the online store APARTS.PL with the discount code AUTOFAN or FORUMWIEDZY at the end of the order

Disconnect battery cables, starting from minus, ending with positive (effectively insulate the battery terminals from the battery poles so that they do not connect)

We dismantle the air intake pipe from the air filter housing to the damper (disconnect the EVAP solenoid valve cable to the throttle from the air intake pipe and the plug from the IAT air temperature sensor)

We dismantle the air filter housing

We mark the direction of work of the multi-groove accessories with a marker pen or chalk (if we do not replace the strap with a new one, we mark the direction of its work before disassembly, to keep the direction when re-assembly)

We disassemble the multi-groove accessories belt, releasing the tension of the tensioner using a ring wrench on the screw fastening the tensioner and pushing towards the interior of the car

We dismount the upper part of the toothed belt guard (3 screws and plastic hooks)

We disassemble the camshaft sensor (unscrew the 2 screws from the cylinder head and unhook the sensor, make sure that the bolt does not fall into the timing case)

Loosen the right wheel bolts

We raise the car and put it on a stable ground

We dismantle the right front wheel

mark the dash on the rim and hub with a chalk or marker, to keep the wheel balanced by mounting exactly the way it was

We dismantle the plastic cover of the wheel

We set the 5th gear and the second person presses the brake to the stop

Unscrew the crankshaft bolt (CA - Crankshaft Angle)

Pull out the belt pulley of the multi-groove belt from the crankshaft

Unscrew the multi-ribbed belt tensioner

We dismantle the lower part of the toothed belt guard (1 central bolt and several plastic fasteners)

Screw the bolt back into the crankshaft and turn the shaft clockwise so that the mark on the gear and housing covers exactly

We check the arrangement of the 2 camshaft sprockets in relation to the characters on the wheels (there are notches on the wheels that are to be directed towards each other in a straight line, signs can be marked with a marker pen to make them more visible).

We assume a universal camshaft sprocket lock or a sliding lock fitted to a given car model between the camshaft gears

Loosen the tensioning screw of the timing belt tensioning pulley and remove the tensioner

If the screw head is damaged, use a hammer and a hammer, because often you can not unscrew the screw, it was in my case

We leave the car gently on a trestle or wooden block so that it does not stick to the motor cushion

We dismantle the engine cushion (6 screws) to replace the old belt with a new one

We dismantle the old timing belt

We dismantle the 2 timing belt guide pulleys (remember where it was! - they are different)

We install 2 new timing belt guide rollers with a torque wrench, torque 25Nm

The new timing belt is pre-set by the engine bracket

We install the engine cushion (6 screws) back in place and lift the engine to remove the treadmill from under the engine

We drain the cooling system by unscrewing the equalizing tank cap and unscrewing the red valve under the radiator. When the liquid stops, we close the red valve as far as it will go.

We dismantle the water pump

We clean the water pump socket very precisely

We install a new water pump with a moistened seal using a new coolant fluid

If we replace the seal of the crankshaft simering, we extend the gear wheel from the shaft to each other, then using a precision flat screwdriver we pry the sealant and pull it out.

Installation of the sealer should be done using a roller cut from a thin plastic and a smooth cup for beverages or from a PET bottle moistened with motor oil.

We put the roller into the new seal, put it on the crankshaft and move the sealant onto the shaft on the cut out plastic shaft

Slide the crankshaft gear back into place onto the shaft key.

We install the timing belt tensioner - the tensioner protruder must be in a special hole and the voltage indicator must be under the water pump wheel, please observe the tensioner when tightening the screw (gently tighten it to tension the tensioner with the Allen key in the special tensioner hole on tensioner arm). The tightening of the fastening screw will make it impossible to tension the tensioner!

We install a new timing belt in a counter-clockwise direction (with the hands we tighten the belt between the camshaft gears), starting from overlaying the crankshaft pinion, then the right wheel, the right timing gear, the left timing gear, the left handwheel, the water pump, tensioner.

Use the Allen key to pre-tension the tension roller

by turning counterclockwise (to the left), the pointer moves to the right until it is just behind the right edge of the scale and we tighten the screw fixing the tension roller

it's perfect!

with two hands set the tensioner, one holding the Allen key with the voltage setting according to the indicator and scale, and the other hand tighten the tensioner bolt, otherwise the voltage will go down

We verify visually that the crankshaft gear and camshaft sprockets are perfectly positioned for signs, everything must be perfect!

We remove the universal lock of the camshafts from the camshafts (loose timing belt between the camshaft sprockets - normal phenomenon)

2x rotate the crankshaft gear in a clockwise direction until it is in the GMP position of the first cylinder.

It's perfect, you can even turn the wheel of the crankshaft one millimeter and the marks will level up.

After 2 turns of the crankshaft, the indicator on the tensioner will go back to the left, which means that the belt will loosen up on its length in the system - NORMAL PHENOMENON, it's supposed to be!

With the Allen key, finally tension the tensioning pulley of the timing belt - slightly loosen the screw securing the belt tensioning roller with the left hand and with the right hand we tension counterclockwise the tension roller until the tensioner indicator is on the line indicating NEW - FRONT TENSION of the new belt.

Tighten the bolt fixing the timing belt tensioning pulley to 20Nm using a torque wrench

2x rotate the crankshaft gear in a clockwise direction until it is in the GMP position

The marks on the timing and crankshaft must match. NOW WE ARE SAFE THAT EVERYTHING IS OK.

Installation of the lower timing cover (1 bolt and plastic hooks)

Install the multi-ribbed belt tensioner

We set the 5th gear and the second person presses the brake to the stop

Fit the pulley to the crankshaft (it will climb onto the wedge) and tighten the new crankshaft bolt to 95Nm with a torque wrench + 30 degrees + 15 degrees by a protractor

Installation of the wheel cover (several screws and dowel black)

Assembly of the wheel (according to previously made markings with a marker pen, to make the wheel balanced on the hub), tighten with the required torque of 110Nm using a torque wrench

Assembling the camshaft sensor (prevent the bolt from falling into the lower timing case when screwing in, for example put a rag or crepe paper while screwing in)

Fitting the upper timing belt cover (3 bolts and plastic hooks)

Installation of a new or used multi-ribbed belt

Installation of the air filter housing

Installation of the air intake pipe from the air filter housing to the throttle

Connection of the air intake temperature sensor plug to the IAT engine

Refill the radiator fluid, pour 5 liters of new liquid - pink and tighten the cap

Mounting the battery clamp to the battery starting from plus, ending at the minus.

We clean the plastic engine cover and stick it to the date, mileage, replacement range, sticker, which is in the timing belt box.

We start the engine and wait until the radiator fan is started for the first time and set the heating in the car to the maximum without running the fan.

Turn the engine off and verify the fluid level in the equalizing tank. When the engine has cooled down, we check the level and top up if necessary.

I tried this new recipe that tweaked things just slightly that makes things apparently very yummy

alrighty lets get cookin

These are the ingredients egg rice salt

Boil some water

Drop the eggs into the water

Let them warm for over 2 minutes

Time may change depending on the size of the eggs and pot

but generally for eggs taken right out of a refrigerator it should be 2min for large eggs and 1.5m for medium

And once they're cooked take them out

I will be using 20 eggs

Add salt to the rice according to your taste

and now for the eggs that have been warmed up

look they've been slightly cooked

tadaa thats all that there is to it

tadaa its done

they've been warmed up slightly and the egg whites have just begun to start coming together

and its flavored with just salt

things flavored plainly with salt give off a more adult feel to things

I look forward to trying this itadakimasu

So instead of mixing these up all at once I'm going to pop these yolks individually as I eat

pop the yolk and scoop up the yolk along with the rice

It looks so yummy

its super delish

You can really taste the egg and really taste the rice as well

Since its flavored with only salt it really brings out the simple flavors in this

With it covered in egg yolk its so rich tasting it

makes you really want to eat this with yummy strains of rice

I've got 9 cups of rice and 1 kilogram of miso soup for today

The egg whites are partially cooked

Rice and miso soup pair nicely together

When you flavor this with soy sauce it takes over the flavor of the whole dish

since this uses only salt it brings out the sweetness of the rice

The egg yolk is so very rich

It's so nice and mellow

( RAW EGGS TOTES SAFE IN JAPAN do not be concerned as she "not gonna die" these eggs are safe from salmonella and don't "smell" )

This tastes great with salt alone but I wonder how this would taste with some pepper

It smells amazing

you can really taste the pepper in this

the pepper flavor really shines

I had this truffle salt lying around so I decided to give it a try

It really does smell like truffles It's got such a wonderful aroma

makes me want to use it on a dish that really allows the salt to shine

well its not like what I'm doing is considered cooking

Doesn't it look so yummy

it makes it taste so exquisite

I really enjoyed the slightly cooked egg in this the egg whites took on a different mouthfeel

I love popping open those rich and mild tasting egg yolks as well

And since we flavored it with only salt It allowed for the inherent flavors to come out

I'm thinking I might prefer it this way over using soy sauce

It was also so very easy to cook the eggs

We drain the cooling system by unscrewing the equalizing tank cap and unscrewing the red valve under the radiator. When the liquid stops, we close the red valve as far as it will go.

We dismantle the water pump

We clean the water pump socket very precisely

We install a new water pump with a moistened seal using a new coolant fluid

If we replace the seal of the crankshaft simering, we extend the gear wheel from the shaft to each other, then using a precision flat screwdriver we pry the sealant and pull it out.

Installation of the sealer should be done using a roller cut from a thin plastic and a smooth cup for beverages or from a PET bottle moistened with motor oil.

We put the roller into the new seal, put it on the crankshaft and move the sealant onto the shaft on the cut out plastic shaft

Slide the crankshaft gear back into place onto the shaft key.

We install the timing belt tensioner - the tensioner protruder must be in a special hole and the voltage indicator must be under the water pump wheel, please observe the tensioner when tightening the screw (gently tighten it to tension the tensioner with the Allen key in the special tensioner hole on tensioner arm). The tightening of the fastening screw will make it impossible to tension the tensioner!

We install a new timing belt in a counter-clockwise direction (with the hands we tighten the belt between the camshaft gears), starting from overlaying the crankshaft pinion, then the right wheel, the right timing gear, the left timing gear, the left handwheel, the water pump, tensioner.

Use the Allen key to pre-tension the tension roller

by turning counterclockwise (to the left), the pointer moves to the right until it is just behind the right edge of the scale and we tighten the screw fixing the tension roller

it's perfect!

with two hands set the tensioner, one holding the Allen key with the voltage setting according to the indicator and scale, and the other hand tighten the tensioner bolt, otherwise the voltage will go down

We verify visually that the crankshaft gear and camshaft sprockets are perfectly positioned for signs, everything must be perfect!

We remove the universal lock of the camshafts from the camshafts (loose timing belt between the camshaft sprockets - normal phenomenon)

2x rotate the crankshaft gear in a clockwise direction until it is in the GMP position of the first cylinder.

It's perfect, you can even turn the wheel of the crankshaft one millimeter and the marks will level up.

After 2 turns of the crankshaft, the indicator on the tensioner will go back to the left, which means that the belt will loosen up on its length in the system - NORMAL PHENOMENON, it's supposed to be!

With the Allen key, finally tension the tensioning pulley of the timing belt - slightly loosen the screw securing the belt tensioning roller with the left hand and with the right hand we tension counterclockwise the tension roller until the tensioner indicator is on the line indicating NEW - FRONT TENSION of the new belt.

Tighten the bolt fixing the timing belt tensioning pulley to 20Nm using a torque wrench

2x rotate the crankshaft gear in a clockwise direction until it is in the GMP position

The marks on the timing and crankshaft must match. NOW WE ARE SAFE THAT EVERYTHING IS OK.

Installation of the lower timing cover (1 bolt and plastic hooks)

Install the multi-ribbed belt tensioner

We set the 5th gear and the second person presses the brake to the stop

Fit the pulley to the crankshaft (it will climb onto the wedge) and tighten the new crankshaft bolt to 95Nm with a torque wrench + 30 degrees + 15 degrees by a protractor

Installation of the wheel cover (several screws and dowel black)

Assembly of the wheel (according to previously made markings with a marker pen, to make the wheel balanced on the hub), tighten with the required torque of 110Nm using a torque wrench

Assembling the camshaft sensor (prevent the bolt from falling into the lower timing case when screwing in, for example put a rag or crepe paper while screwing in)

Fitting the upper timing belt cover (3 bolts and plastic hooks)

Installation of a new or used multi-ribbed belt

Installation of the air filter housing

Installation of the air intake pipe from the air filter housing to the throttle

Connection of the air intake temperature sensor plug to the IAT engine

Refill the radiator fluid, pour 5 liters of new liquid - pink and tighten the cap

Mounting the battery clamp to the battery starting from plus, ending at the minus.

We clean the plastic engine cover and stick it to the date, mileage, replacement range, sticker, which is in the timing belt box.

We start the engine and wait until the radiator fan is started for the first time and set the heating in the car to the maximum without running the fan.

These are the ingredients egg rice salt

Boil some water

Drop the eggs into the water

Let them warm for over 2 minutes

Time may change depending on the size of the eggs and pot

but generally for eggs taken right out of a refrigerator it should be 2min for large eggs and 1.5m for medium

And once they're cooked take them out

I will be using 20 eggs

Add salt to the rice according to your taste

and now for the eggs that have been warmed up

look they've been slightly cooked

tadaa thats all that there is to it

they've been warmed up slightly and the egg whites have just begun to start coming together

and its flavored with just salt

things flavored plainly with salt give off a more adult feel to things

So instead of mixing these up all at once I'm going to pop these yolks individually as I eat

pop the yolk and scoop up the yolk along with the rice

It looks so yummy

its super delish

You can really taste the egg and really taste the rice as well

Since its flavored with only salt it really brings out the simple flavors in this

With it covered in egg yolk its so rich tasting it

makes you really want to eat this with yummy strains of rice

I've got 9 cups of rice and 1 kilogram of miso soup for today

The egg whites are partially cooked

Rice and miso soup pair nicely together

When you flavor this with soy sauce it takes over the flavor of the whole dish

since this uses only salt it brings out the sweetness of the rice

The egg yolk is so very rich

It's so nice and mellow

( RAW EGGS TOTES SAFE IN JAPAN do not be concerned as she "not gonna die" these eggs are safe from salmonella and don't "smell" )

This tastes great with salt alone but I wonder how this would taste with some pepper

It smells amazing

I had this truffle salt lying around so I decided to give it a try

It really does smell like truffles It's got such a wonderful aroma

makes me want to use it on a dish that really allows the salt to shine

well its not like what I'm doing is considered cooking

Citing four unnamed U.S. officials,... the newspaper on Thursday said Pompeo has cancelled

a planned July 6th meeting with his Indian counterpart in Washington... in order to fly

to Pyongyang.

The officials added that the joint declaration signed by U.S. President Donald Trump and

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un on June 12th,... stipulated that Pompeo would hold "follow-on"

talks with an unnamed senior North Korean official "at the earliest possible date",...

but had given no timeline.

The visit will be the first senior-level meeting between the two sides since that historic

summit in Singapore.

The U.S. State Department wouldn't confirm the Financial Times' report.

Pompeo traveled to North Korea twice before the Singapore summit, the most recent in May,

when he returned to the U.S. with three American hostages who had been detained in the North.

The report comes after Pompeo testified to the Senate Appropriations Committee on Wednesday,

where he stated that contacts with North Korea are ongoing,... with him in charge of the

communication.

Pompeo said he was sure the regime knows the scope of denuclearization the Trump administration

is calling for.

He had also confirmed that no remains of U.S. soldiers killed during the Korean War have

been handed over by the North, but said he was optimistic they will be "in the not too

distant future."

one of my patreon asked me a question the other day with these adjustable buck

regulators you know the cheap ones and ones based on the lm-2 596 can you build

it inside something but then extend the wires on the little blue potentiometer

to put it in a more convenient location so you can adjust it front to the case

my answer was well probably but just give me a minute so for that minute I'm

gonna try the experiment and just see what happens now first of all I've been

digging through the datasheet a little bit and to make the adjustable version

of this which is of course what it is to make the adjustment you need to create a

low voltage divider between pin four which is the feedback pin and the output

and ground in this case they're using a fixed resistor to ground just see if we

can see it here so pin four is the as the feedback pin and ground is getting

there looks like it's what a 330 ohm resistor I'm not sure precisely where it

is but the potentiometer in this case a 103 or 10k pot is between pin 4 and D

how can I do this without actually getting in the way there pin 4 and the

output which well it says the 20k then find B like that

oh come on man work with me here hmm any other would just measure across the

pot because that'll do the same thing that's why I'm in the wrong range what

really like this meter just pay me off this little arranging he's my Old

Faithful keep a pocket meter here okay sooo pin four to the output was about

1700 or so crank it up you get the idea right it's just a serious resistance I'm

not gonna carry too carried away on that okay where was i before I wandered off

into the ditch so basically all this is it's only using

two pins of it the third pin isn't going anywhere and the two pins are the center

pin in one end one end goes to pin four which is the feedback pin and the other

point the wiper goes to the output and that puts the 300 ohm resistor plus an

internal resistor inside this thing creates a voltage divider which gives it

a sample of the output voltage back in against this reference and blah blah so

bottom line there's no high frequency going near near this capacitor because

the the freaking the switching frequency is smoothed out by the output capacitor

before it gets back into here and there's there's insignificant current

coming through here because there's the internal resistor is about a 2k and the

external one is 300 ohms we figured and this thing can be anywhere from 0 to 10

K this is not a huge amount of capacitive current flowing through there

which makes sense because this cheesy little potentiometer can't

do high-current anyway so to the experiment I should have hit that

warming up earlier that was easy cutting around okay so now that I got that off

there oh I'm going to add on some layers of arbitrary length let's use this

now where's the ends

and I don't need all three connections or don't think I'm going to use the

manually just that's what it looks pretty

okay once the improving doing anything on camera is ten times harder so those

are all in there there's the other end of this here we go

so what did they say orange to the middle pick up some solder and then

booing like to either end okay so I got it all soldered together I got my

lengths of wire here potentiometer up there of course he beats any 10k pot you

don't have to use the one that took off the board mm I've got 12 volts coming in

here from my little power supply over there well Toph went for three actually

so I'm gonna turn that on 11 volts out of there and that's tank this down

that's working see how low can we go 1 volt 1.2 seems to be so that's 10% of

the input voltage

crank bump should be within a vault of the input voltage at the top of the

range okay so there's the top of the range 11.76 so that's quarter well this

is twelve point four so that's 3/4 of a hole give or take all right

so there is your answer can you extend that yes you can

is it easy well it depends on your soldering skills it's kind of fiddly

getting that off there but once you do yeah you can extend it for at least that

was far I mean it doesn't seem to have any ill effects hope that answered your
