and I can't believe that is it happening

We are going to pick Tobias Dimmler up

he was nice enough to accept my project, massive thanks to him !

and I am so looking forward to show you what it is !

Written In My Own Heart's Blood Book Review: August Book Club - Duration: 9:37.

what's up everyone I'm Melissa Elise and you're watching Melissa Elise TV welcome

to my August book club review in this video we'll be taking a look at book 8

the final current published Outlander novel by Diana Gabaldon Written In My

Own Heart's Blood and of course revealing the next book of the month I'm gonna try

to track with the storyline of the book for this review so let's get to it as

usual there will likely be spoilers in this video so proceed at your own

discretion so something an echo in the bone did was

introduce several different character perspectives and this book continued

that starting with Ian's which I thought was very interesting because with all

the he goes through at the end of Echo I totally forgot that he would still think

his uncle and his mother were dead so the book opens with Ian building these

currents for them which was really sad and beautiful something Diana does very

well but then later on Ian is of course reunited with his uncle Jamie and with

his mother Jenny I was gonna try to stay on track with the storyline but who am i

kidding let's just talk about Ian's real quick

his journey throughout the book does meet with at least one near-death

experience but thankfully he survives to then go on and marry Rachel and by the

end of the book becomes a father sadly he does suffer one great loss and that's

Rollo who waited until Iain and Rachel got married to pass away there's a few

other sad parts to this book that I'll talk about later but overall I really

did enjoy this book and with it being the longest of the series there is so

much that I could cover but there's really only three main plot lines that

stood out to me first is John's journey at the end of Eko John is kidnapped by

Jamie so that Jamie can get out of Philadelphia alive but then once they're

in the clear John tells him that he slept with Claire and at first Jamie's

just kind of confused as to why that would happen considering John's sexual

preference but then John elaborates and provokes Jamie to beat him up and I

don't really think that Jamie would have killed

he might have beat them within an inch of his life which he almost does but

they get interrupted by some rebel soldiers who don't know who Jamie is but

Jamie just walks off and leaves gray in their custody from there John spends at

least half the book either as a prisoner of war or under rebel disguise until he

finally surrenders to Jamie but Jamie ends up releasing him essentially so

that he can escape which he does but then gets captured again by his own side

who don't believe he is who he says he is but luckily for him Ian who got

captured to vouches for him and they're both okay in the end

though even once John is reunited with his brother how the Duke of parlo and

William who is a whole nother story John's troubles aren't over hardly

because the war isn't over but then also because he and house set off to find

Howells oldest son Ben who's been captured as a Pio W and reported dead

they also have to find Ben's wife and child who they only just learned existed

I think of John and how is connected of course because they are brothers but I

really enjoyed meeting Hal and Eko and I loved his involvement in this story he's

a really interesting character on his own but he also provides more insight

into who John is and the whole gray family it's worth mentioning that

William is in a precarious situation in this story with the revelation of his

real father and who that makes him his journey throughout the book mirrors that

as he struggles to figure out what the truth means for him where he belongs and

how it affects everything he thought he knew he also can't be really a soldier

anymore since surrendering at Saratoga so he can't even do what he's there to

do he just is wandering emotionally mentally and physically he's all over

the place throughout the story but he starts to find some direction as he

finally confronts not only his situation as a soldier and he resigns his

commission but then he confronts the truth and Jamie

the second plot point that stands out to me is when Claire gets shot during the

Battle of Monmouth and in pure Diana fashion Jamie is right there to see it

happen and it's a good thing he was - because otherwise Claire might have bled

out because it doesn't seem like anyone else was around or even cared to help

that much eventually they do find dr. Denzel hunter Rachel's brother and he

performed surgery gets the bullet out and Claire recovers but when it happened

Jamie resigned his generals Commission in the Continental Army

then once Claire recovers he purposes to take her and the rest of his family back

to the ridge but not before there's a devastating fire at Fergus and Marcille

ease printshop and poor little Army Christian dies trying to escape with his

brother Jermaine thankfully Jermaine survives but blames himself for letting

honor and Christian go as sad as that part is on the opposite end and

something else that's worth mentioning is that there's a lot of babies born in

this book first there's been grey Sun and then dotty and Denzel have a child

Ferguson marsley have another kid after honoré Christians funeral towards the

end of the book and then Ian and Rachel have a son so many babies the third and

final thing that really stood out to me about this book was Brianna and Roger

storyline and jumping back and forth between the past the future and a whole

nother past that I certainly did not see coming

going back to bring Rogers storyline and picking up from the end of echo where

Rob Cameron has kidnapped Jem and Roger and but go through the stones to try to

get him back they don't find any sign of Jem but what they do find is Jeremiah

Mackenzie's dogtags from the Royal Air Force in the year 1739 this whole chain

of events could have dragged on for a long time so I'm really glad that it did

but I'm also glad that Roger did get to me

and save his father though it was pretty creepy that buck meets his mom geillis

duncan and makes out with her and he knew it was his mother they also meet

another time traveler who has this ability to heal people but when he does

it his hands and the affected part of the person's body turns blue and it's

not clear that he even understands why more unanswered questions meanwhile

Breanna fights off Cameron who is not alone in his endeavor he and like three

or four other people are in on this scheme to get the French gold or it

might be more than that because Breanna finds this letter from Frank talking

about how people might be after her because she's the possible heir to the

Fraser prophecy either way Breanna and the kids with

some help from Fiona and her husband and even gem schoolteacher escaped to Boston

where they get help from Uncle Joe and his wife and they do actually find out

what time period Rodger is in because he leaves Breanna a letter that's found

inside the desk back at La Libre they do return to Scotland and go through the

stones at Craig nough Doon and their story ends on a happy note with

reuniting with Rodger and the book as a whole ends on a very happy note with

Brienne Roger and Gemma Mandy returning to the ridge

I like this ending I really do of course there's more of the story to tell and I

desperately want to know what's gonna happen with William but that's what book

9 is for so I really could not have thought of a better way to end this book

and I'm sending Diana all positive thoughts for book 9 book 9 I do have a

question for you guys this month and that is do you think Jenny will remember

meeting Roger and are there consequences for meeting someone at two different

points in their lifetime Roger does meet her at lolly Brook in 1739

and does that change anything let me know what you think in the comment

section and of course let me know what you thought of this book before I go I

have to reveal the next book club pick and that is les by Andrew Shawn Grier

this book is about a failed novelist that goes on this like kind of crazy

journey but it's also supposed to be a comedy and a love story and I'm pretty

excited to read it I am gonna start steering away from series in our book

club pics but if you guys have any suggestions for books that you want me

love them all the other animals my husband and my child they're just a big

as it is with three it's just a big ol obstacle course it's a death trap

living downstairs we're just gonna have to be downstairs people and just ignore

that we have an upper floor too bad all the bedrooms are upstairs we'll just

live in the living room my other cats are not happy they're not happy with me

need to find a home for this kitten like ASAP my kids already seen her and is

already like super in love I don't know what to do with his cat yellow

I'm a terrible foster I'm terrible at it I think I have successfully rehomed like

two cats the rest of them they just end up staying I think I have like a

three-day threshold so I really need to find her a place to live that is not

my house she's adorable unfortunately since all my friends are also big time

animal lovers everyone seems to be full up and have no space for more animals I

can't have a fourth cat right I think I'm trying to convince myself I can't

have a fourth cat more than anyone else my husband will throw a fit if I keep

her I know he will I know he will no matter how cute she is we would have to

have another litter box it'd be it's gonna be a whole thing it'll be a whole

thing I already have a million litter boxes I don't know what to do with this

kitten I don't know what to do with this kitten

I don't know she's very cute though my guess is that she's probably about 3 to

4 months old she's kind of small she's kind of small but she's got to be at

least 3 months judging by her size and her teeth so yeah this kitten has been

with me for less than 12 hours and I already don't know how I'm gonna just

give her to someone else I don't know how they find me they just show up on my

doorstep she just showed up on my doorstep this kittens obviously been in

someone's house I don't know if they dumped her or if she kind of escaped

she's obviously not feral she comes when I call her she seemed relatively

comfortable being outside so I thought maybe she would just go back to wherever

she came from last night but she has not left she wanted out so I let her back

outside with the way she's acting I assume she's maybe somebody's

indoor/outdoor kitten but she has seemingly decided that she is staying at

my house now I checked her over she looks semi well cared for but she

definitely looks like she's got your mites going on so I'll probably treat

her for that I'll probably pick up some medicine later today but other than that

don't really know what I'm gonna do for this kitten I know she was obviously

handled she's obviously not feral so she had to come from somebody around this

areas house I don't know if maybe their cat had a litter of kittens and then

when the kittens got bigger they just decided bye-bye kittens or what happened

because this kitten is super duper friendly but again she's obviously been

outside a lot because she had no signs of being skittish about cars or loud

noises or anything outside so I don't know where she came from I'm probably

gonna have to make posters and put them around the neighborhood see if anybody's

missing a kitten and if not then I guess I'm gonna have to start looking into

finding her a home cuz I cannot cannot have another another cat especially one

that wants to be inside outside like all my cats are indoors all three of my cats

are indoor only and that would confuse them and probably anger them if one cat

got to go outside and they did not I don't even want to get into just showing

the cats this kitten that all hissy and angry they want nothing to do with this

kitten even my cat Tyrion my Maine Coon makes like he he doesn't even seem to

want to have anything to do with her and he usually loves every animal and every

one that comes into this house and even he was getting kind of grumpy about it

so here's hoping I can find out where she came from if somebody is missing a

kitten if somebody is missing their kitten in this neighborhood because she

is so sweet she is so sweet and so nice and she didn't claw me at all I don't

know if any of you out there have had kittens before but I know like when I

worked to the pet store you could always tell if somebody had a new kitten cuz

there just be like little claw marks all up their hands and arms but she already

seems to have like really good control of her claws she's not

bringing him out and trying to grab everything although she did try to climb

me like a tree a few times I know I know it hasn't even been 12 hours I just

don't know where she came from and why these animals always end up like right

by my house as soon as my husband heard meowing and

heard something scurrying towards our house he just immediately immediately

put his head down and said no no no no no no no no no we're not bringing in

another cat we can't have another cat we have all the cats we have all the cats

and we do we have all the cats not to mention my 80 pound dog my dog is the

equivalent of like 10 cats I will not keep this cat I will not keep this cat I

will either find the owner I will either find the owner or I will find her a good

home and yes I am trying to convince myself I am low power how do you have

willpower with face like that though another day or two and I'm just gonna

have to give up I'm not a good person at fostering I am a keeper I just keep them

this is why I could never be a foster parent this is why I could never be a

foster parent because I would just end up having like 15 kids - then I'd have

like 15 cats 15 dogs 15 kids it's fine it's fine I don't have a problem I don't

have a problem I don't think I can afford another cat it costs me roughly

$1,600 a year just for vet bills so I don't know like I said I'm gonna try to

put up fliers later today and see if I can find whoever owns this kitten

because obviously this kitten was hanging out at somebody's house

worst case I'm gonna have to try my hand at fostering and try and make it a

for-real thing this time and not just tell myself that I'm fostering an animal

that I know full well is never going to leave my house does anybody else out

there just like as terrible as I am it's just like taking in strays and hoping

for the best and trying to fix them I am the worst I am worse

I am the worst at fostering I can do this I need somebody to have faith in me

because I don't really have faith in me I will find this kitten a home that is

not mine I will not become somebody that ends up on the show animal hoarders that

is not who I want to become any animal that comes into my house has to have

full vet care and the Brite diet and just all the things all things all the

toys if I bring another cat in I need like ten more cat scratching posts I

don't know I don't know I just too much as too much

I don't know having a build like catland be one of those crazy houses that has

all the like catwalks and stuff up on the ceiling where the cats don't ever

have to even touch the ground that's probably gonna be me in ten years so

anyway you guys is anybody else out there as bad as I am at taking in all

the stray animals and trying to help them out my bleeding heart gets me in

trouble y'all it gets me in trouble so yeah that's kind of a weird video I

just kind of wanted to come on here and talk a little bit about this kitten

thought maybe if I got her face out there a little bit more one of my

friends might uh come come get her uh-huh yeah what you want to come get

her yeah you know you want to come get her I can already see it in the comments

section people telling me that I'm probably just gonna end up keeping this

I'm here at Skegness beach with my family as my late birthday treat.

Last year, we all went to Bridlington beach,

as part of my birthday and it's something that we've always done. We always get treated to beach days out

since it is so much better than going to a restaurant or something like is just one treat.

Going to the beach means we get to spend way more time together as a family as a whole day activity!

Anyway… we're actually currently on the Skegness Pier,

which is a long path you can walk along and you get the view of the whole beach.

You also can pay 50p, or something even less,

to look through the binoculars they have here and look out to sea – maybe you'll see a dolphin or even a shark! Look…

Today is really a beautiful day since you can look out to sea and it helps calm your mind…

My family and I are staying in Skegness for the night, which is better than nothing.

So we have more time to just chill out and make the most of our relaxing day!

Now we're gonna head back to the hotel as check-in is at 3pm…

I thought it'd actually be earlier than that but it's a bit late.

We're heading back now, we'll probably unpack and then who knows!

What a lovely view to wake up to in the morning! Amazing. I feel like I've been treated like a special girl for this luxurious room!

But I did book and sort out everything for the hotel myself, as a special treat. It is for my birthday so just a special one off treat for this single day.

This is my room which I'll be staying in tonight, it is really lovely! It is so bright and the colour scheme is black and white is my favourite.

I match the room with my clothes.

So this is the bathroom, take a look.

Oh my god! There's a spider!... I can't believe there is one in my bathroom!

I don't want to have any spiders in my hair.

I need to get it out… oh my god. It's a good job I noticed it.

I was so nervous having to try and get it out then and put it under the water…

it looked determined to try and get out of the sink which is why I started running both taps so it would definitely go down...

let's hope it doesn't crawl back out.

but besides that, this bathroom is very nice. It's clean and fresh, just like any normal posh hotel room.

The spider just happened to be there, people who live in houses get spiders every once in a while.

Okay so this morning, I was taking extra time with my make up because today is a special day!

I am gutted that I missed the information that the woman was giving because there was no access for the deaf public like an interpreter. So when she was feeding the animals,

I didn't know what she was saying because there wasn't any access. I am pretty gutted as I would have like to know about the animals and what they eat etc. Oh well…

Hey everyone! Welcome back to the Roadshow.

We're going to talk about insurance.

Insurance companies love saying how everyone's out to scam them.

Well, this incident is about an insurance company trying to scam me.

My insurance company in fact.

So some time ago this guy,

I don't know what got into him, he just walked up

& stomped all over my car, over the bonnet, the roof & everything.

Anyway, this guy did $1000 worth of damage to my car.

Now he was charged. The police caught him,

got his name, he had a little cry, said he was sorry.

So he goes to court. He pleads guilty.

I'm awarded the damages $1,000.

So what happens?

This guy doesn't pay!

I had full comprehensive insurance and I thought oh....

I thought oh...I can do without this

so I gave it to them.

My broker said Rona you will have to pay an excess but

you'll get that fully refunded when and if the guy pays.

It's not my fault.

They had all the details. I thought that's fine.

Anyway I put it in. I'm charged the $350 excess.

I pay it.

Months and months and months go by

and I asked, several times, my broker,

So what's going on with this insurance you know?

She said Oh Rona, they haven't um,

there's been no progress yet. I haven't heard anything.

I don't know you know... B. S. quite frankly!

So this goes on and on

Several months later I get my new insurance for the car

and guess what?

Not only has the insurance premium gone up

but my no claim bonus has gone down so it's hopeless.

Anyway, so I'm paying more for less basically.

So anyway I was furious.

I rang her up and I said what's going on?

She says, well I don't know Rona.

I haven't heard anything. I don't know what's happening

So then I hung up from her.

I got straight onto the Insurance Ombudsman

& I spoke to them &, they said Look Rona,

all we can suggest is write straight to them

So I did. (DON'T FORGET TO MENTION THAT YOU HAVE SPOKEN TO THE OMBUDSMAN)

I wrote the letter and I wrote down

1. This is what happened.

2. This is what I'd like to happen

I want to get my excess money back &

I want that no claim bonus returned to what it should be.

You can follow the guy up. I've given you his name.

It wasn't my fault. I've given you the address

I sent that off at like five to five that afternoon

It goes, a copy to my insurance company and a copy to the broker.

At exactly 7 minutes past 9 the next morning,

I get a phone call from my broker.

Rona! she said. Good news.

Oh, I said. Let me guess...

I'm gonna get my excess back & everything's gonna be ok?

She said, yes, as if it was a big surprise.

I said, I'm not happy with you.

This insurance company has not followed him up

because it's cheaper to let me pay.

And she went mmm you know... she was pretty sheepish.

So I'm not sure if this is commonplace.

Un 'pop-up' con un punto 'retro' que más allá de mostrar únicamente sus productos, propone todo tipo de actividades con las que sacarnos partido: desde clases de yoga hasta peluquería, pasando por recursos digitales y una 'boutique' propia; un establecimiento itinerante para otro nivel de ocio en las vacaciones

 Para probar el efecto 'cara lavada' de los maquillajes propios de las francesas basta con acudir a uno de estos chiringuitos y ponerse en las manos de los 'make-up artists' de la firma (en horario de 12:00 a 20:00 horas)

Estos espacios efímeros ya han pasado o pasarán por los 'beach clubs' de las playas más exclusivas de nuestro país: Nikki Beach Ibiza (24 y 25 de julio), Nikki Beach Marbella (31 y 1 de agosto), Trocadero Sotogrande (11 y 12 de agosto) y, por último, la Estación Norte de Valencia (1 y 2 de septiembre)
