all of our let's go
good morning or shall I say bad morning
you see it's raining cloudy the clouds
are hanging on the mountains there's no
way to go back to that track with this
weather we wanted to do the hike maybe
right the monkey no I don't I have to
say we got really lucky yesterday and so
now it's break fast and it rolled down
to what rule our hotel what can I say I
slept well I cannot say that I didn't
sleep well
but journey look at a happy face no hot
water yesterday and then they told us
now you have to let the water run for
half an hour then the water will
increase the temperature yeah okay
and price for quality now it wasn't
worth what we paid for it it wasn't
expensive but it wasn't good
and do I have to mention our neighbors
man they have two bedrooms and they keep
running between one and two the parent
sign one and the kids and the other I
don't have to tell you that the kids are
making so much noise in the hotel that
since 7:00 a.m. we are awake thanks to
our neighbors but from now on the day
will be dead
this is every boy's dream
is that very nice piece of history
that's over there but according to a bus
driver that just stumped over here as
well
the train is not working anymore it's a
shame because it looks actually quite
intact and it smells like it was used a
few days ago something like this but
where it stopped definitely it's not
going anywhere here we are that theorem
it's a small small community
and we have wave on the tour our tour to
see
the highlights from the desert
you know what's interesting for me here
and for for Jan as well
this country is so much like Brazil
people are quite friendly the living
quality is the middle standard but
people are still happy but it feels like
yeah it is Arabic the mountains in the
background
I'm telling you we are Omar's town is
good after secure
so this is saying where the caravanners
have to go to go to Mecca
so body room it is beautiful place we
are at the top of a mountain here and
it's time to go down the drive is
waiting but the view from here
it's beautiful I show you right now
our driver and guide he is very
enthusiastic and he told us to walk on
this trail for like 20 minutes and then
we will find a canyon and the little
rocks to climb I have no idea what that
is I believe that we are coming into the
canyon now it looks like I guess that I
found the rock that he said to climb
run baby run drunk
one thing that we misunderstood is that
the driver would drive around the
mountain and we would cross the canyon
and see him on the other side and we are
like oh shit we have to walk all of this
back oh my god how to climb this thing
back and thanks God there is our car
so this is the famous muddy room bridge
and it is not easy to go up but it's
it's okay
I think the fears in our mind because
these rocks they are not slippery at all
but the way is quite narrow
but once up there it is really really
really really really really fantastic
okay I'm going to show you guys our big
room we have to hurry to see the sunset
so this is the bedroom and this is the
entrance and this is the toilet and
that's our room but it's cool it's the
first time I'm going to sleep in a tent
in the desert
it's cool really nice
we are back from our cave fire T and I
have to say it was amazing because it
was so silent was so great I mean you
have to try to see how great it is and
these people here are so friendly they
gave us their jacket actually their
their overalls for us to walk back in
the dark just with the moonlight it
fantastic nothing else to say so now we
are about to sleep the entire camp is
powered by batteries and solar cells so
we are a little bit limited on light in
the room but we are not here for the
light so blankets I think we have like
six blankets so time to sleep under them
outside it's something like eight
degrees and of course inside the tent I
would say a top of 10 degrees and
there's only cold water no comment time
to open the curtains for us to see the
desert in the moonlight and sleep at
that beautiful view and I see it
tomorrow morning 7 a.m. at the breakfast
good morning I had a good night it
wasn't cold actually
it was hot and Janet dropped all the
blankets on me and so it was even warmer
for me but
I had a good night and now it's 7:00 in
the morning and we are going for the
breakfast
what
ahead this has been way to our hotel
right now
I have to turn lava go there's a
military observation post fight here we
are with chip
here we as a dad see there are no
features inside yes why it's that well
i'm to swim in this water and I hope
that I came out I'm a bit worried
because it's the Dead Sea I can come out
the dead you never know so I'm going in
and Jen is going to film me going in one
second
we just came back from the Dead Sea and
we got called out by the military
apparently we were too far into the
water but I mean I could still stand in
the water because I'm afraid of deep
water that I don't know I don't swim
like this so I mean there was another
family or three people they were like
three times more into the water than us
and nobody called him back but the
military called us back what to do and
then Jenny had her shower and after she
finished shower the water was cold and
I'm waiting for like 40 minutes now for
the water to heat up and nothing
once the rooms don't have a telephone
you cannot call the reception ask for
help so we had to walk all the way to
the reception and then the guy said ah I
will take a look should be heating then
he came down and he came here and he
swapped this switch is that all the heat
you forgot to turn on the heater how can
I know that I have to turn on the heater
Wow the hotel apparently is 10 years old
the air-conditioned is not working the
water heater wasn't working they don't
give you beach towels this is the
condition from the ceiling I mean if you
don't want guests because you're
referring during winter time close your
hotel don't let people make reservation
but the way this one is it's not worth
the money
definitely not
so let me quickly tell you what happened
at the end of this fantastic day we got
the phone call from the owner of the
hotel in Petra and he actually started
to let on us because we put a negative
review on booking.com so we ended up
packing our stuff in the middle of the
night and we just drove back to a month
and there we stopped at the airport
hotel and this was where we got the best
service ever and this is what you expect
when you're on vacation
so I hope that if you go to Jordan that
you have a better experience that we
have it's a beautiful place the people
are good most of them at least but if
you went when it comes down to hotel
quality it is really really really bad
