Z-index to create sticky menu bar in CSS-No JavaScript - Duration: 7:25.

Hello and welcome to another new episode of learning simplified.

In this tutorial we are going to create sticky menu.

Stay tuned.

Now in the first case all we are going to do we are going to check on what we are about

to create in this tutorial.

Now we can see that this is an HTML page and here comes the menu which is already been

created over here, a horizontal one and if we scroll down the page we can see that the

menu item is now sticking to the topmost position while the rest of the content are stacked

below it.

So this is what we are going to create into our current project on which we are working

on and we can see that we have created already an element which is in the sticky position

here, it is sticking on the top most position.

Now we will implement the same thing into our horizontal menu that we have created in

our previous case.

So let's get back to our project and this is the menu-holder; so all we are now going

to do in the first case we need to discard off this position sticky here; so we are going

to discard them in the first case and we are going to mute them off and now in the menu-holder

all we are going to do we are going to create....

From where?

From top 0 position.

Now before we move on further, first of all I would like to say to you that this is a

very basic and simple procedure or tutorial that we have created with the aid of HTML

and CSS only but in case of finer tunes, for say we want some specification associated

to this particular menu which is being stick to the top we need to employ JavaScript.

But in this particular case we are creating this thing without the usage of java Script

we're practically observing how to create a sticking menu bar with the aid of CSS only

and nothing else.

So this is the primary thing that we need to tell you.

Now all we are going to do we are going to save this project, get back to our tutorial

and reload.

And now we can see that the sticky property which is been associated to this blue box

is now been eliminated and it is now provided to this particular menu-holder; right now

it is not working; it is practically getting below all the content those we have created

so far.

So how to overcome it?

That is why we will be getting back to our project and here we will be using this particular

term which is known as Z index.

Now Z index in particular is used in case where we want to elevate a particular element

above the rest of the others.

For say it practically determines the stacking order of an element; so if a particular element

which has higher Z index it will be stacked over the rest of the elements those which

have the lower stack values.

So if we provide here this particular value let's say 99999; this is an arbitrary chosen

Value so we can provide any kind of value over here but the first thing that we need

to remember that in each and every cases whenever we apply Z index the element that we want

to elevate up should have higher z-index than the lower ones.

So we have provided this value over here.

Now all we are going to do we are getting back to our project and reload.

Now we can see that our menu it is practically sticking on the top of this particular mother-wrapper

and the rest of the elements, all those rest of the elements those are present inside your

HTML Browser those are practically being scrolled down below this particular menu-holder.

If we provide instead of margin 0 auto condition, if we provide a top margin of 100px, get back

to our project and reload, so all we can see here that the top margin of this particular

menu-holder is now descending down to 100px and now if we scroll up of our page we can

see that actually this menu-holder is now sticking to the top position and on the other

hand the rest of the contents, those are being scrolled down below this particular menu-holder.

We have applied a definitive position sticky over here; the Z index can only be applied

to some particular elements, those which have positional values.

This means the position relative absolute fixed or sticky is been specified; only under

these particular cases we can apply this particular Z-index value.

We have provided a position sticky over here, so what is the function of this sticky position?

We have discussed it earlier in our previous tutorials, just prior to this particular video;

the sticky position practically toggles between the relative and the fixed position, Up to

the particular threshold value.

Just before reaching to the threshold position, the position sticky will be executing position

relative.

Whenever that particular threshold value is reached then the position will be executing

a fixed position in the defined area where we actually defined that particular element

into a fixed one.

So this is the purpose of position sticky and we have defined that it should be sticking

to the top most position and this is what exactly is going on over here.

This particular menu-holder it has a 100px margin from top, and when we scroll up, whenever

position top 0px is met, up to this particular point the position of this menu-holder is

actually acting as a position relative now; but whenever position top 0px is met, we can

see that the position relative is now toggled into position fixed condition.

So this is how position fixed actually works and this is how we can create a sticky menu

on the top of our page without JavaScript.

On the other hand I would like to mention again that in case if you want to create a

better harmony or in case if we want a better tune up for our project for some particular

specification, in that particular case we must employ JavaScript here.

Arsenal star Bernd Leno Why I feel sorry for Petr Cech | AFC News - Duration: 2:01.

Bernd Leno says he feels sorry for Petr Cech after the 36-year-old suffered a hamstring

injury in the win over Watford.

On the stroke of half-time at the Emirates, Cech went to take a goal kick and immediately

pulled up.

The 36-year-old signalled to the Arsenal bench that he had a left hamstring issue and made

clear he had to come off.

Cech was given a warm applause by the Emirates crowd and was replaced by Leno.

I feel sorry for him.

How to fix a floating shelf to a stud partition wall - Duration: 5:28.

in this video I'm going to install a shelf which is a floating shelf onto a

stud partition wall this particular shelf is a Lack shelf which is bought

from Ikea this is the fixing bracket and that has to go on the wall with those

holes that they're facing downwards so it actually goes that way on the wall

now in a wall like this you actually have studs which go down, which

are pieces of timber and then the plasterboard is actually fastened to them so it

is possible to actually get a really strong fixing on a wall like this if

you are going to use plasterboard fixings the maximum amount of weight you

can put on this shelf will be five kilograms but if you fix to the studs

that will be increased to fifteen kilograms if you're fixing to the

plasterboard I would recommend that you put about six plasterboard fixings

evenly spaced into the bracket however because we're fixing to the studs

we're just going to put two screws at each end it isn't actually possible to

put any more than that in this bracket because that is the spacing of the studs

in the wall if you can actually see behind the plasterboard you would

actually see the wooden studs which are running it down and they are

approximately every 600 millimetres the first thing we need to do is find out we want

the Shelf and we want it approximately this height so I'm not gonna take some

neodymium magnets like so and we're going to rub these on the wall and every time

we find the screw head which is holding the plasterboard to the stud it will

actually stick because the screws are magnetic this will give us a really good

visual indication of where the studs are so I'm just going to take the

magnets I'm just going to start rubbing that around the wall until it sticks and

you can see its stuck there so there's obviously a screw there

we've got another one just there so that is telling me that there is a stud

directly there and if we go approximately five to six hundred millimeters away

from that one you can see that we found another stud there so we're going to

position the brackets just there to fix the bracket to the wall we're going to

use these wood screws and they are about two and a half inches long so all we need to do

is position the bracket ensuring that these screw holes are facing down which

the Shelf screws to we can then ensure we get that in line with the magnet so

the holes are perfectly lined up and then we could insert a single screw I'm

just going to drive that in using the drill we don't need to go all the way in

just yet I'm now going to get the spirit level and place that on there

I'm just going to get the brackets completely level before inserting a

screw at the other side we can then drive that home

now that's perfectly level we can just do the final tightening using the

screwdriver now we can drive in the other two screws

once we've done that we can then take the shelf ensuring that the screw holes are at

the bottom there and we can push that into position

and then finally, just put the two small screws in the bottom there and that will hold the

shelf in position that's how easy it is to fit a floating shelf to a stud

position wall it is a very easy indeed if for some reason you can't fix to the

studs in your wall I will actually put a link in the description to some popular

Hello beautiful people, let's just get into this video straight away without wasting any time as you can see

I am starting off on blown-out hair. I just stretched out my hair on medium heat

I didn't want it to be like bone straight

But I wanted it to be straight enough for me to see what I'm working with

And you can see my ends my ends just need prayers y'all

So how I do this I section off a small portion of my hair and then I comb it out completely

making sure all my ends are exposed and then I just

You know stretch it out once I see where my bad ends start

I just cut that off and then I go ahead to comb my hair even more so that I can see if there are any

single strand knots or

Split ends that I might have missed and once I see that I did leave some I just go ahead and cut that off, too

As you can see my ends definitely look a lot healthier

And I just go ahead and repeat this process all over my head

there are many reasons that lead to one having to trim their hair and one of the reasons is

Your ends look like they're holding on for dear life

I mean, let's face it having long hair is nice and all but when the ends look like they need prayers

You know you need to trim that off. There is nothing pretty about having long hair. That just looks like it needs help

So go ahead, trim that off

See how much healthier how much bouncier your hair will look and it will also look a lot fuller

That's a trick guys. If you want your hair to look fuller get rid of those ugly heads

another reason that will lead to you having

to trim your ends is that your hairstyles don't you know come out away you're usually used to them coming out I mean

In the previous videos I had not trimmed my hair and you can see that...ooh look at that

so full so bouncy

I even think it feels and looks lighter anyway back to the discussion. So, um when you're

Styling your hair and the styles are not coming out the way they're supposed to come out

Maybe you should just trim your hair

Because the ends will end up curling up a lot better

And even when you do your hairstyles the ends will look fuller which makes the hairstyle looks so much better

And the other reason that leads to you having to trim your hair is that it's takes way longer for you to detangle

Those ends usually end up tangling up around each other

And then you just end up having a much longer detangling session than you need to

So if it takes you a century more to detangle girl

trim those ends and

back in Japan

I've actually been here for a couple weeks

I've been waiting for my wife to come back to Japan

she's been gone for about two months now

and she finally just arrived back in Japan

we had a package waiting for us in the mail until we came back from our Taiwan trip

this is something I've been pretty excited about

this one company named Santic reached out to us

they're pretty big in the cycling industry so you might have seen their jerseys somewhere

anyway they sent over two jerseys to us

they wanted us to do a review

so that's what we're gonna be doing today

I just opened the package

Thuong hasn't seen these yet..

we're gonna be doing a nice test ride today

it's a beautiful sunny day here in Japan

we're gonna ride to Morikoro Park's Cycling course

This is Morikoro Park Cycling course

We've made a video about here before

it's a really beautiful cycling only path

5 kilometer course, great place to cycle

really safe you don't have to worry about cars

first impressions.. I'm really liking the feel of the jerseys

BTW, this is not a sponsored video

we're not getting paid. So we can give our honest opinion

they did send us these jerseys though, so there is that..

but we're under no incentive to just say like positive things. So if these jerseys were crap I'd say they are crap.

We're still testing them, but so far for me

mine feels really breathable really nice. really good material especially on the elastic band for the waist grip

not too tight a fit perfect fit for me they recommended an M size for me

on these jerseys you can tell the quality is just this big elastic band

here down at the bottom you get a nice snug grip nothing too tight but you

don't want your Jersey just flopping around while you're riding so here we go

one of the downhill parts on the course

one of the downsides of this course is just lots of people out here riding

especially on the weekend you got a lot of people you got to avoid so if you

want to train hard like these guys get here early hard get here late

looks like tones motivated to chase thought there she goes

heck you're not the name better she jazzy doll as for my Jersey I'm feeling

really good about it really good materia here especially the elastic band here

just fits really well nice and smooth nice relaxing fit so this isn't exactly

race fit like our normal jerseys are but this is more of a club fit but as you

can see it's not too big not too loose or anything perfect nice and comfortable

so I think I'll use this for some more casual arrived and stuff and really like

the design with a nice Hawaiian theme here and especially two ones the designs

really cool the hot pink and everything so we're finishing up here at the

cycling course they close at about 4 p.m. so closes a little bit early really

liking the new kits Tennessee Josh de neige and I think tool especially will

wear hers more often she really likes pink and actually matches really well

with our kits so the nice bright blue the pink here the pink on the shoes

actually it looks pretty cool anyway we're gonna finish up our ride here

let's meet back in the bike room where we'll go over some of the extra details

about these shirts and how much they cost all right here we are back in the

here's my Jersey this is officially called the rainforest blue jersey I was

calling it my Hawaiian style shirt and first impressions of the ride again like

I mentioned earlier this is not a sponsored video we're under no

thing about both of these jerseys and this company is these jerseys are super

affordable so if you don't have much money and cycling equipment is really

about $39 so that's a pretty killer deal for the quality of jerseys that you're

getting here these are the summer jerseys these are super breathable it's

not just the same material throughout the entire Jersey you can see if you

look closely here in different parts of here it's super breathable you can see

through here right here so it's really nice and cool on those hot summer rides

and I mentioned a lot in the video this band here in the back which is really

important because you don't want your jersey just like flapping around

everywhere that's a really nice solid grippy been there another cool thing I

just noticed now on the inside of the Jersey they have this information sheet

so you can write your name some emergency contact information your blood

type and that's that's pretty ingenious I've never seen that actually on a

Jersey before but yeah I usually carry an emergency card with my information

but having it on your Jersey it always helps to have that information in as

many places as possible some other key points about the Jersey

we did mention I think earlier is the reflective bands here on both sides and

looking over at tooms Jersey as well a lot of the similar characteristics on

here we've got the same reflective bands here and hers actually has a cool

pattern here these raindrops or sweat marks or whatever they are here are

actually reflective as well so that's pretty cool mix in the center of the

design and you can see the same thing her Jersey here the material is

different depending on where you are in the Jersey this parts more breathable

whereas the front has a bit more solid fabric and her inside as well has the

emergency information as well as the nice grippy elastic band here and

usually with cheap cycling products cheap cycling jerseys you get a lot of

cheap materials but I haven't noticed anything really cheap on here you zip

right here which seems to be quality material and yeah first impressions I'm

really impressed at the quality of like this 35 and 40 dollar Jersey which has

features that cost a lot of money if you normally want these from one of the

bigger named brands and this company santak has been around ten years I

honestly didn't really know about them before they sent this to me but after

looking at their website they've got a couple of other products as well not

just cycling jerseys but they got some popular rain jackets on Amazon that I

noticed as well and it looks like they have shoes and other apparel accessories

as well but for now today we're just reviewing the jerseys which in my mind

get a solid thumbs-up the great thing about this is they ship internationally

worldwide for free so you're not paying for shipping on top of

this you can just if you like this pink jersey like toon does you can just spend

$40 and that includes the shipping with a tracking number to your home that's

pretty awesome and you can order these from their main site or they also have

their products listed on different Amazon sites so Amazon US and was on UK

and Amazon Japan so if you're more comfortable purchasing on Amazon you can

do it from there too and so yeah good quality affordable jerseys with free

Chelsea and Liverpool played out the game of the season so far at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon

And Blues boss Maurizio Sarri perfectly summed up the game in his post-match interview, earning the praise of Liverpool fans in the process

" A real show of class from the former Napoli man.The reaction from Liverpool fans to the comments is as positive as they come - they can't believe they're actually loving a Chelsea boss

Sarri is a popular guy on Merseyside it seems, what an achievement that is for a Chelsea manager

Both he and Klopp seem to share the same vision for how football should be played and the German explained what the dressing room was like after the game

"When he came in the dressing room, the whole dressing room was pretty much dancing," he said

nous avons fait un partenariat avec le programme end violence de UNICEF

afin de protéger les enfants et les jeunes personnes du monde entier de la violence

et nos fans sont devenus une grande partie de cette campagne

avec leur action et leur enthousiasme

nous avons vraiment les meilleurs fans au monde

et j'aimerais commencer en parlant de moi

je suis né à ilsan une ville près de Séoul,

en Corée du Sud

c'est un très bel endroit

avec un lac, des collines

et même un festival de fleurs annuel

j'y ai vécu une enfance heureuse

Mercedes have been meticulous in letting their drivers race, but with six rounds to go pragmatism may win out

'We are not at a part of the season when I want two Mercedes racing each other at the front, much as I hate as a fan to issue orders,' he said

Just like when Willie Nelson invited Beto O'Rourke to jam with him onstage during his Fourth of July picnic a few months back, the country legend extended the same invitation when he headlined Beto's rally on Saturday night, September 29 in Austin, Texas.

Fans were ecstatic when Beto joined Willie on stage.

Willie Nelson hasn't been shy about his approval for Beto O'Rourke.

In fact, he brought O'Rourke onstage with him during his Fourth of July picnic, just a few months ago.

Here's a look back at when Willie Nelson called Beto onto stage with him on the Fourth of July.

Beto's appearance begins near the end of the video:.

About 15,000 to 20,000 people attended the rally that Willie Nelson led for Beto on September 29, which is the first public concert he's had for a political candidate.

His initial announcement outraged some of his Republican fans, despite Nelson having a long history of supporting Democrats.

Many of his fans shared their anger on social media.

Nelson's publicist responded with a press release about Willie Nelson's first public concert for a political candidate.

The statement said, in part: "My wife Annie and I have met and spoken with Beto and we share his concern for the direction things are headed.

Beto embodies what is special about Texas, an energy and an integrity that is completely genuine.".
