You're sitting in shul on Yom Kippur, counting down the hours of the fast and how many pages

left to go in the prayer book.

There is still a long way to go.

A lot has happened in your life since last Yom Kippur and in a way this would be a great

time to think about it all.

You think to yourself: Isn't that what prayer is all about – connecting with God about

my own life?

Yet the marathon of Yom Kippur prayers seem far from this.

Their authors knew nothing of my life, and I know little of the words and their meaning.

If this is what prayer has become, surely we are missing the point?

We have amazing examples from the bible of when prayer really meant something for people.

Take Hannah for example.

She was distraught that she was childless and went to the temple to pour her heart out

before God.

She said exactly what she felt and begged God for a child.

She didn't think about fitting into any mould, saying any particular words.

In fact, she was so lost in her own prayer that the high priest thought she was drunk

as she was moving her lips, but not making a sound.

When the sages discussed how Jews should pray, they wanted to capture the passion of Hannah's

prayer and so when we pray the silent Amida we move our mouths without making a sound.

Moses prayed for his sister Miriam to get well.

He said: Kel Na refa na La – Please God heal her!

But his prayer did not need to be any longer: it captured how he felt and his desperate

desire for her to recover.

These prayers were not found in any siddur.

They were true worship of the heart.

Our fixed prayer service, especially in a packed shul of people looks very different

to this.

Rabbi Steinzalts, a great scholar in Israel, compares Jewish prayer in shul to a musical

performance.

The sheet music in front of the musician tells them what music to play, the sequence of notes

and the general mood of the piece.

But every artist's rendition will be different.

In the end the performance expresses the musician as much as the composer.

Our sheet music is the prayer book, and the community around us the rest of the orchestra.

We are the artists who need to put ourselves into the performance.

There are days when artists feel creative and they just want to play freestyle, but

there are other times when pouring their heart and soul into Bethoven's symphony is their

best form of self-expression.

Prayer is exactly that – there are times when it flows and we just talk to God in our

own way using our own language…but then there is also something to singing off the

same sheet that has been used from one generation to the next, adding our own thoughts, feelings

and life experience to the words.

The words of prayer may be ancient but our feelings can be new everyday.

I did a bit of a mix between my usual lookbooks and my "outfits of the week" videos.

Only because lately I've been struggling a lot to film outside.

Which means that I filmed to looks here inside, in my baby's room.

I have to confess I wasn't quite satisfied.

I think it's more aesthetic when filmed outside,

with different angels, all that.

Before every full look I filmed myself in front of the mirror,

to quickly tell you where which piece of clothing is from.

That's not one of my usual lookbooks, but I hope you'll enjoy the outfits anyways.

On this look I'm wearing my little H&M dress with this folds.

The best part is that i bought it for about 10€.

Let's say it's not one of the most "noble" tissues, but it does the job.

Above I'm wearing an Agnès B. blazer, that's a man's one.

My fake fur is from Pull&Bear.

This side is kind of dark blue leather like.

An inside black fur. You can also wear it inside-out.

My navy blue Michael Kors purse.

As for jewelry, my wedding ring.

This lozenge ring, plus this kind of Egyptian bag are from Pull&Bear.

The knot ring is from Jolie Demoiselle website.

And we'll finish by the shoes.

I'm wearing this gems also from H&M.

It's like a satin scarf wrapped around the foot.

I find them really pretty.

We have a sweater and pants from SheIn.

The pants are very high-waisted.

I think I never showed you them on the channel.

Although I already posted un outfit on instagram wearing them.

They're kind of skinny until here and then they're flared.

They're like bellbottoms except shorter.

My ankle is here.

At the bottom they're round cut and they have an eyelet at each round.

As for accessories I'm wearing fake glasses from Forever21,

my Pull&Bear earings from my last haul

and I'm wearing this pretty ring again.

It's color is coppery.

At last this small bag, which's from Zara.

It's a bit different look, with a vintagy vibe.

But personally I love it.

I feel so good in it and the pant are so confortable.

I'm wearing a Pull&Bear sweatshirt.

Above I'm wearing this marvelous dress from Zara that I showed you on the haul

and that I couldn't wait to wear.

I'm wearing my Prof boots.

As accessories, this little sublime pearls beret from H&m,

That small gold bracelet and this ring that I wore in absolutely every look.

I thought I'd lost it and I just found it. So I just wanted to wear it with each look.

THE CHAOS! IS THIS A RACE OR A DEMOLITION DERBY? 😂 [Sub ENG] - Duration: 8:06.

Ciao everyone, here it's Marchettino and let's start another racing weekend with the Smart cars!

Here we are at another racing weekend in the Smart E-Cup championship,

this time I'm in the circuit of Vallelunga and I'm very excited because it's my second time driving in this fun track

I know my car pretty well and after a morning spent between practice laps and qualify I'm very satisfied of my results because

in practice I did P7 with room of improvement, I still had to learn the track lines,

whereas in qualify I did P4, very happy the podium is close and now let's watch the highlights of Race1!

P4 has been my best start so far and my opponents defended very well the podium, in fact I started P4 and ended P4!

Sadly no podium in Race1 but I did my best to defend P4 that is a great result with the points for the championship

And now let's show the highlights of Race2, with the rule of inverted starting grid I started P5 this time!

WTF!

You see, Race2 has been madness! I think it's been the funniest race of the championship so far,

we fought in the race, collisions did not miss, lots of action, lots of fun,

I started P5 and ended P4, so close to the podium again but

before the end of the championship I'm hopeful, I'll keep fightin' to hit the podium at least once!

Some of the strongest drivers of the championship are based in Rome so I raced at their home

and I defended very nicely, I kept behind me talented drivers that have been tough.

I'm 4th in the championship with 4 points far from the 3rd so the championship is still open for me and guys

I see you in the next race the 27th-28th October in the circuit of Magione.

Cedar Plank Trout - How To Cook Trout - How To Cook Fish On The Grill - Duration: 7:59.

what's up everybody this is lyle with no hippie BBQ what I'm be doing in this

video is we are going to be making some cedar plank trout this is a recipe that

we are going to keep very simple with rainbow trout or brown trout we're gonna do a little marinade let it sit on

it for about 30 minutes then we're gonna get it out on the grill on our cedar

plank the first thing I need to do to get this fish recipe hooked up is we're going

to go ahead and make our marinade this marinade goes what I've done is I've

already put the juice of a half of a lemon in our Bowl here we're gonna hit

it with some olive oil I don't have any specific ingredients on this we're just

gonna be eyeball on that get some olive oil in there I have some fresh dill that

I had frozen we're just gonna go ahead and throw that in a little pepper salt

and we're just going to mix now first thing I'm gonna do is I'm gonna go ahead

and kind of trim this up a little bit so I'm just gonna kind of square this trout off

at the end and this is gonna go to my dogs they always love it when I cook

some fish we're just gonna kind of come down here and square this up now this is

a little super thin just a little bit right here so I'm gonna kind of square

this up and then we're just going to kind of cut this into two portions right

here

kind of almost looked the same for each one of these let's take a look so I'm

going to square it up this is for my dog boom our dogs put that there come down

here just kind of square this right on up and I could probably cut this in

three but let's just go ahead and cut this in half as well get this in here

got our marinade just get this on and I'll brush it on even when we're doing a

fit even matters ya'll brush it on even but this is gonna go in the refrigerator

for about 30 45 minutes while I go ahead and get my grill heated up oh I have my

charcoals lit our grill should be ready to grilled fish in about 30 minutes and before we

get out there I want to kind of talk about what we're gonna do with this trap

now we already mentioned we're going to be using a cedar plank method on it and

there's a few different things to know about cedar plank fish before you do

it's your first time first of all soak your plank for a minimum of an hour okay

so we've done that it's been in there about five hours second about these are

not reusable let me say that again these are not meant to be reusable so there's

a few different ways you can do it now if you want a more mild flavor right

before you get your trout out on the grill what you would do is go ahead and

put it on this cedar plank and put it out there at the same time that's really

not going to give you as much flavours what I'm looking for on this what I'm

looking for is we're gonna throw trout plank directly over the coals and we're

gonna start getting it charred up once it comes up to temperature and once it

starts looking like really kind of darkened on the edges and everything

where you hear the wood crackling we're gonna go ahead and get our trout on it

and what that's going to do is it's going to bring in all kinds of play

right now as far as this trout goes we did go ahead and pour our marinade over

the top of it now what I'm going to do is we're just

going to go ahead and flip our fish over meat side down just to make sure that

all that goodness is in contact with the flesh of the trout now we have our coals

coming pretty good what we're gonna do is get our planks on here

and like I said we're gonna want these planks to get to the point where they

start crackling and even getting kind of a little bit of a dark and black look

around the edges of it before we get our trout on here probably gonna take five

to seven minutes for that board to start getting to that point where it's

crackling out there on the grill so we're gonna do is go ahead and flip our

fish over and get rid of any obviously real thick pockets of dill and just the

real thick part so just thin we're good to go and what I've done is I cut up

some lemon slices and we're just gonna go ahead and put one slice on per trout

portion and we'll get this on those planks as soon as those planks are ready

for us so words are getting right where we want they're starting to crackle just

get one on one side one on the other side now we're gonna go ahead and get

our fish in on the planks

alright look they got just enough planks

now see that smokiness that's coming up from them planks is gonna permeate this

trout I'm gonna go ahead and shut this down I'm actually going to shut down the

Vince a little bit so hopefully we'll be cooking kind of in that 350 degree range

once I shut everything down this trout at about 375 degrees we're about 10

minutes in I'm gonna go ahead and check it technically we could go ahead and eat

this grilled fish right now it's not quite as firm as I'd like so I'm gonna let it go about

three more minutes and we'll pull this trout off and should be good to go by then

perfectly after about 16 minutes I'm gonna go ahead and get these off the

grill take them inside and taste it

trout is done nice very simple recipe let me get to this shrubbery off here

and get into this taste test now I did leave the skin on this smoked trout I'm not going to

eat the skin not my favorite thing to do but let's just get into this

it's been a good ten years since I've had grilled trout I mean this is kind of

reminded me of almost like a mild salmon in a way either way delicious that's it

anyway go get you some cedar planks throw some fish on it and Grill it

[NEWS] New version of Ratnik sleeping bag /SUB: ENG - Duration: 3:19.

Greetings on RUSVVO channel.

Today we have fast video in news

because I have possibility to review new version of Ratnik sleeping bag.

I will compare it to the own which I own.

This is the old version of sleeping bag from Ratnik set.

New fabric is also RIP-STOP, but is thinner & softer.

It is more similar to fabric on hiking sleeping bags.

However the fabric also stops water. It stays on surface.

As you see also new fabric is partially water resistant.

I don't know how much because I try it only in such home conditions.

But I have a feeling that old fabric works better.

There is also difference in camouflage.

The old one is more contrast.

New fabric has some greeny hue.

Therefore I think it could be just some summer version.

Also the cut is little bit different.

This hole for face has smaller diameter on new one.

And also mind it is closer to top of bag.

In top part the width is same.

But it is little narrowing to the bottom.

Mind that on the old version zipper ends on bottom.

About 10-15 cm from bottom of bag. And it was ended.

On the new one it ends higher so You can't fully open it.

But it's normal also on hiking bags.

But mind that zipper can be open also from this side.

So it's two ways zipper with 2 runner on bottom and top.

It is really practical because you can better regulate the temperature inside bag

by opening the zipper near legs and so make ventilation on bottom.

I have to say the old fabric is for me more rugged.

But it's possible that new one will be some kind of summer version.

According to my information it is new version.

It is the same manufactor.

I don't know if they will have only this fabric or return to old one or will make both versions.

Anyway also in e-store is now available new version.

Made of this thinner fabric.

Next difference is also in compression bag.

The old one has 4 vertical tightenings.

The new one has only 2. Here & here.

But straps are same around so don't be worry about torning seams.

Horizontal tightening is same.

Also straps are different.

The new version has softer straps.

You see the fabric is softer than old one.

Those was all differences I've noticed.

Shape is the same.

It has cotton hygienic insert same as old one.

Is structured prayer outdated? Can't it all be spontaneous? A Jewish take. - Duration: 3:25.

You're sitting in shul on Yom Kippur, counting down the hours of the fast and how many pages

left to go in the prayer book.

There is still a long way to go.

A lot has happened in your life since last Yom Kippur and in a way this would be a great

time to think about it all.

You think to yourself: Isn't that what prayer is all about – connecting with God about

my own life?

Yet the marathon of Yom Kippur prayers seem far from this.

Their authors knew nothing of my life, and I know little of the words and their meaning.

If this is what prayer has become, surely we are missing the point?

We have amazing examples from the bible of when prayer really meant something for people.

Take Hannah for example.

She was distraught that she was childless and went to the temple to pour her heart out

before God.

She said exactly what she felt and begged God for a child.

She didn't think about fitting into any mould, saying any particular words.

In fact, she was so lost in her own prayer that the high priest thought she was drunk

as she was moving her lips, but not making a sound.

When the sages discussed how Jews should pray, they wanted to capture the passion of Hannah's

prayer and so when we pray the silent Amida we move our mouths without making a sound.

Moses prayed for his sister Miriam to get well.

He said: Kel Na refa na La – Please God heal her!

But his prayer did not need to be any longer: it captured how he felt and his desperate

desire for her to recover.

These prayers were not found in any siddur.

They were true worship of the heart.

Our fixed prayer service, especially in a packed shul of people looks very different

to this.

Rabbi Steinzalts, a great scholar in Israel, compares Jewish prayer in shul to a musical

performance.

The sheet music in front of the musician tells them what music to play, the sequence of notes

and the general mood of the piece.

But every artist's rendition will be different.

In the end the performance expresses the musician as much as the composer.

Our sheet music is the prayer book, and the community around us the rest of the orchestra.

We are the artists who need to put ourselves into the performance.

There are days when artists feel creative and they just want to play freestyle, but

there are other times when pouring their heart and soul into Bethoven's symphony is their

best form of self-expression.

Prayer is exactly that – there are times when it flows and we just talk to God in our

own way using our own language…but then there is also something to singing off the

same sheet that has been used from one generation to the next, adding our own thoughts, feelings

and life experience to the words.

The words of prayer may be ancient but our feelings can be new everyday.

Only because lately I've been struggling a lot to film outside.

Which means that I filmed to looks here inside, in my baby's room.

I have to confess I wasn't quite satisfied.

I think it's more aesthetic when filmed outside,

with different angels, all that.

Before every full look I filmed myself in front of the mirror,

to quickly tell you where which piece of clothing is from.

That's not one of my usual lookbooks, but I hope you'll enjoy the outfits anyways.

On this look I'm wearing my little H&M dress with this folds.

The best part is that i bought it for about 10€.

Let's say it's not one of the most "noble" tissues, but it does the job.

They sent me three pair of shoes and 7 clothes, total 10 items.

Let's unbox these 10 together :)

For the first, ta-da

Looks like a zip-up, huh?

and looks little bit like a windbreaker..

Guys, look at this! Isn't it pretty??

It's not just a one color windbreaker, It has three color blocks which makes a perfect point for It!

And It has the Swoosh on the bottom of color blocks, not on the chest.

Unique, Right?

Also I think It has a hood inside cause It's little bit puffy (I'm pretty sure!)

If you open the upper part of It, see, a grey hood comes out!

I think I'm not gonna get bored of it easily, because of color blocks of all neutral color

And about the fit, It a bit of..

loose and oversized, It's comfy and nice

Unique, because It's silver but still, It looks like white at a glance

So It's not that hard to match

more of… Imagine that you subtract the pointy part from soccer shoes?

And the logo on the side is silver color but not too silvery

So It'll be perfect to naturally display some points

Patches the Hammerhead Shark | JONATHAN BIRD'S BLUE WORLD - Duration: 12:48.

Coming up, Jonathan finds the friendliest hammerhead in the ocean!

Welcome to Jonathan Bird's Blue World!

It's a beautiful day in the Bahamas.

And it's about to get better because I'm meeting up with Coyote Peterson, (Hey Man!

How are ya?)

Mark Vins, and Mario Aldecoa from Brave Wilderness to help with the creation of their new show,

Blue Wilderness.

We start in Grand Bahama, and sail north on a live-aboard dive boat called the Dolphin

Dream, one of my favorite boats.

Our destination: Tiger Beach, a famous place where Tiger sharks interact with divers.

Upon arrival, the crew starts chumming.

Then we suit up and hit the water.

We have tons of sharks.

Our team and the guys from Brave Wilderness are having a blast.

We're getting lots of great footage.

Most importantly, the main attraction has showed up.

We have multiple Tiger sharks swimming around us.

Coyote even gets up close with a Tiger.

But then, things get even more magical with the arrival of a rather special shark.

A Great Hammerhead named Patches.

Great hammerheads are usually quite shy.

It's extremely unusual for one to get right up to the camera like this, so after the dive,

Mark and I ask Captain Gerard about her.

Gerard, tell me about Patches.

Tell me the history of this shark.

Alright, so Patches showed up at Tiger Beach about two seasons ago.

She wasn't too playful when she first came in.

She would hang out on the outside of the dives a lot, but as she got used to the divers and

watched the Tiger Sharks doing their thing, coming in and feeding, she started to slowly

make her way in and once she started getting comfortable with us, she would let us feed

her some pieces of fish.

We used to catch fresh fish for her because she was a bit of a picky eater, and then she

got more and more comfortable with us and let us get a little more hands-on with her

and pet her.

And then once that happened she pretty much just stuck around and so she is quite special

for us at Tiger Beach because she is the only hammerhead we know that acts like that and

stays in that area.

So is it a rare experience to get to get up close to a hammerhead like this at Tiger Beach?

Most hammerheads, they're quick, they come in, they spend ten or fifteen minutes.

They don't really go that close to everyone.

They kind of like move through, get their food and get out.

But with Patches you'll see that she'll come in, play with a diver at the bait crate

and go and spin through all the divers at the dive site and come back in.

So it's quite special the way she interacts with people.

With this magnificent shark hanging around the boat, Mark and I know that there is no

time to waste.

We quickly suit up for another dive, to film Patches while she is here.

Alright Mark, let's go see if we can find Patches!

Hammerhead sharks, let's do it!

Yeah!

The minute we hit the water, Patches comes right over to investigate us near the surface.

She exhibits the classic hammerhead "tilted swimming" behavior, which has only recently

been scientifically studied.

It allows the Great hammerhead shark to use its tall dorsal fin as a wing, to increase

lift, reducing swimming effort.

Patches passes extremely close to me, but her proximity is in no way aggressive.

She is clearly just curious.

She is the kind of shark that underwater photographers dream about—cooperative and friendly, coming

super close to the camera, but in no way threatening.

Patches just seems to go back and forth between me, cameraman Bill, and Mark.

And sometimes she likes to demonstrate how hammerheads use the mass of their hammer and

their incredibly flexible body to turn on a dime, like no Tiger shark ever could.

Patches is my new favorite shark of all time!

Eventually we sink down to the sandy sea floor next to the reef, and Patches follows us like

an excited puppy.

Soon, our divemaster Houston has joined the party with a crate full of fishy snacks.

We all gather around, cameras at the ready, to begin filming the shark feed.

And Patches isn't about to be left out of the action!

She is the only hammerhead I have ever seen that will swim into a feed with a bunch of

Tiger sharks.

She is just as long as the Tigers, but nowhere near as girthy and powerful.

Yet she sticks up for herself—even pushing one of the Tigers away by whacking it in the

gills!

Nearby, a Lemon shark is resting on the bottom, knowing well enough to stay away from a bunch

of feeding Tiger sharks.

Lemons can gulp water to breathe, and rest on the bottom.

But not Patches.

Great Hammerheads are called Obligate Ram Ventilators.

They are one of the few species of sharks that need to keep swimming to ram water down

their throats and into their gills.

So they keep moving, and usually have their jaw open.

It looks aggressive, but it's just respiration.

She may have to keep moving, but her super shark power is turning.

Great hammerheads can turn much tighter and faster than Tigers, and even Reef sharks,

which are far smaller.

Turning so tightly, Patches can make twice as many runs at the chum box, so she gets

more chances to be fed.

And her persistence pays off.

Houston doles out some nice yummy fish.

We have three Tiger sharks on the dive, and normally even one Tiger shark would be amazing.

But Patches still steals the show.

She is the star, and I think she knows it.

She just keeps making passes in front of everyone, and we aren't going anywhere as long as

we have air to breathe!

But alas, no scuba tank lasts forever, and soon we have to make for the boat.

Patches follows us up to the swim step, but we definitely are not afraid.

Only thrilled!

Woo!

Dude, most cooperative shark ever!

Is this real life?

Did that just happen?

Guys that hammerhead was enormous.

And unbelievably friendly!

Wow, what a segment!

At the end of a long day diving with the world's most awesome Hammerhead, I can only wonder

if I will ever meet her again.

With any luck, Patches will return next season, so other divers can get to know her and develop

an appreciation for one of the most spectacular shark species in the Blue World!

Welcome to this inner thigh and hip dip workout

We are starting off with a warm-up of hip openers tuck your abs in and just raise your leg over that

imaginary wall

Awesome

Go ahead and switch your legs and do the other side

Raise your knee as high as you can manage

We really want to make sure your inner thigh and your outer hips are warmed up because this workout is awesome

The exercises we're gonna be doing today are so effective

You're not even ready. You're not even ready. Ok. Next up. We're going to do some alternating side lunges

Suck in your abs and just take a big step from side to side

Perfect if you are more advanced you can use ankle weights in this workout to make it more intense

But I will be using no equipment. Oh

The exercises in this workout are so good. I know I said that before but I can't wait for you to see them keep going

That was perfect. All right, let's jump right into the first exercise. We are doing diamond kicks. You're going to put your legs together

Like a little tadpole open them wide put them back together and put them to the ceiling see that. All right. Let's go

Perfect you got it. It's almost like you're doing YMCA but with your legs

You know we get fancy around here. Keep going good. Good. Once you get the hang of it, you can go a little bit faster

Not too fast

Good you look good you are doing it right almost there

We're going to move into lateral scissors, you're literally going to open wide and then bring your legs back together

This is such an amazing move for your inner thighs. And for the hip tip area. Are you ready? Let's go

Open wide come together open wide come together

There you go

This is good you are doing a good job. Keep going

You're doing good, you look good

Almost there

Next up we have clams you are going to get into the bedroom

Position and keep your feet together and just open your knees

You should really do all these exercises in private. I'm just saying

Good you are going to feel this

Think about your glutes as you do this as well, you know

We never miss an opportunity to activate the glutes and all of our workouts

Even though we're really targeting the inner thigh and the outer thigh hip tip area with this workout

It doing good

Go ahead and switch to the other side and do the same thing

There you go keep those feet together good

Look at that you look good already. You look better already. You look awesome. Keep going

Next up we have an inner thigh lift. You're still in that position

But now you are raising one leg with the other leg

Just resting at the back really focus on that inner thigh as you do this

Good

You're doing good don't point your toes too much try to keep your foot straight good

You're doing a good job, just keep going

Yes, you're doing good

Am impressed you are almost at the end you are going to be able to say I worked out today. That's a good feeling

Next up guess what we're gonna turn around and do the other side

One side of your body is going to be easier to do than the other side. That is totally normal. Just do your rest

Let's go

This is your last move after this we cool down and you're done good job, keep going I

Am so impressed you are doing good

Try to keep your foot straight. Try not to point your toes too much

Make that mind-muscle connection with your inner thigh good look at that. Look at that. You're almost at the end. Keep going

That was perfect, I have never seen anyone do a workout so good. All right, go ahead and bend forward

Go through your own range of motion

You did amazing that was good

When you're ready you're gonna do the other side as well

This is such a good stretch to do to extend your range of motion so you can do more exercises

Go ahead and cross your legs

I want you to give yourself a huge hug and I just want to remind you of how much I love you because you are
