Youtube daily report Jan 24 2019

okay so no matter what profession you're in you have to stay mentally strong you

have to stay in fighting shape right and you need to keep your head in the right

place if you are gonna be successful in your job and I strongly feel that people

do not put enough emphasis on this in the workplace nor train people on how to

do it correctly so today I'm gonna talk to you about how to be mentally strong

how to keep yourself in a good place so that you can perform the best within

whatever type of work environment you're in then if you watch this whole video

and put these things in practice you're gonna be really successful

okay so first thing it's really important that you have a very good

morning and evening routine you cannot just work around the clock

all day every day trust me I've tried it and it's not something that is going to

lead you to feeling very good about yourself or feeling doing very good in

the workplace so typical morning routines for people who are successful

looks something like this they wake up and first thing they do is think about

what they're grateful for right so visualizing you know 10 things that

they're grateful for really letting that kind of consume you you're feeling

awesome about those good things that you have going in your life next thing you

do number two you will visualize the day so visualize the day exactly how you

want it to go so if you have a couple meetings coming out how do you want to

perform in those meetings how do you want them to go and if you do that what

happens is by the time you get to that meeting you've already been there

mentally in your mind and because of that you're able to perform better in

that meeting the way that you thought that you would do it when you got there

and then another thing that's really important and number three make sure

that the first thing that you do when you wake up is you do not go and grab

your phone and start checking email or responding to instant messaging or

anything like that it's very important for people to have breaks from work so

in the morning make sure you designate a time from when you wake up and then for

whenever you start your day so that you're not sitting there and you're

checking social media and you're going through all this technology and you're

flipping back and forth that's a great way just to bring unnecessary

information into your brain in a time when you should be allowing your brain

to settle allowing your brain to rest so that when you come into the workplace

you can be super successful and dedicate more time and more focused to it so

personally I will do things like that in addition to in the morning exercising

and trying to get in some hard cardio so that you can really get the blood

pumping and get those cells regenerating and then in addition to that

meditating can be another really good thing so if you can carve out five to

ten minutes and meditate try an app like headspace if you have a routine like

that in the morning you're not checking technology until about 8:00 or 9:00 a.m.

you're gonna feel great and fantastic and you're gonna be positive and then

you're gonna have a very very good day so those would be a couple tips that I

would have for you then when you get into the day it starts a whole nother

process so the thing is if you set up your morning routine the way that I just

mentioned then throughout the day you can constantly remind yourself on what

you're grateful for what you would have done to get to where you are how you

know nobody's gonna die tomorrow or anything like that if things don't go

perfectly you know don't put too much pressure on yourself

right think of what you're doing now as practice for getting next to getting to

the next step and then having fun with what you're doing right always having

fun and bringing a positive attitude to what you do every day and and if you

kind of keep those things in mind and then work really hard and you know

really put in a good effort and then you get into the evening when you get in the

evening time it's very important to shut down again right so if you shut down

your phone around 6:00 or or so and then you're not checking anything you have a

good evening routine such as maybe some more exercise or relaxing or reading and

not staying tied into that technology that's going to allow you to have a good

night's sleep and that's going to allow you to be fresh it's going to allow you

to have another break from what you're doing so that when you come back the

next day and and start that morning routine again you're really ready to go

you haven't been able to touch the things that you wanted to and you can

get back and go after it again people do not put enough emphasis on how important

it is to stay in fighting shape to thrive mentally in the workplace and our

society has started to instead glorify entrepreneurs who work around the clock

all day every day 70 hour work weeks and in my opinion if you are working that

many hours you are not being effective enough sure a lot of entrepreneurs or a

lot of people who are really care about their job do you have the wheels turning

a lot but it's important to learn how to take breaks and so that you can come to

work refreshed and do a really great job if this video was helpful to you make

Monaco issue statement on Thierry Henry's future - Duration: 1:57.

has been suspended by Monaco after just three months in charge.  Mirror Sport exclusively revealed this week that the Frenchman was facing the axe after a dismal run of form

The Ligue 1 club have confirmed they have suspended the former Arsenal striker pending a final decision on his future

Monaco haven't won a home game under the Frenchman and sit 19th in the Ligue 1 table

Henry was appointed Monaco boss on a three-year deal back in October but has struggled with the French club losing a host of their top players in recent years

Henry had been working as a Sky Sports pundit alongside his role with the Belgium national side before turning his hand at management

He held talks over taking over at Aston Villa but opted against taking the job before being appointed by Monaco

But the former striker has lasted just 104 days at the club before the decision was taken

Henry's last game in charge was the French Cup defeat to Metz earlier this week

Former boss Leonardo Jardim is in line for a shock return in the Principality.  Jardim was axed in October to make way for the former Gunners' striker, but now it appears the club's owners are about to make an abrupt U-turn

Conversation Skills: How to End a Conversation "I gotta get going" and more! - Duration: 4:55.

Hi everyone. It's Jennifer. In one of my earlier lessons, I gave suggestions for

refusing a request or declining an invitation.

It's not always easy to say no, is it?

Another thing that can be hard is ending a conversation.

But sometimes we just don't have the time to talk. So what can we say?

If there's somewhere else, you need to be, say so.

Have to get going I'm late for something

You'll hear: I've got to get going. I have to get going. I gotta go.

I think we all know that people may or may not be telling the truth when they say, "I've gotta go."

But if they say this, it's a signal to end the conversation.

Second, you can simply say, "I'm sorry. Now's not a good time."

This works on the phone. For example, your friend calls, you don't want to ignore their call,

so you answer and say:

If a topic is rather serious and you want to postpone it, you can say:

Can we talk about this later?

Maybe someone is bringing up a topic that you want to talk about when there's more privacy. Over the phone you can say:

Sometimes people aren't prepared for a discussion. This could happen at a business meeting.

Did you know that "table" could be a verb?

We have the expression "to table a discussion."

This means to postpone it you set it aside and you want to address it at a later time.

So "to table a discussion" is an appropriate expression for the workplace.

Of all the expressions, this one is the most formal.

Here are the expressions again. Repeat after me.

I gotta be going/ I gotta get going.

Well, we're going to end here. I'm sure I'll have more lessons like these in the future, but for now

I hope I've given you enough to study.

Please remember to like this video if you found it useful.

I think all the expressions you learned in this lesson and the past lessons will help you boost your

conversation skills. If you know others who would appreciate learning more expressions in English,

please share these videos with them.

I Marie Kondo Tidied My Apartment - Organizing Closet, Desk, and Kitchen using KonMari Method - Duration: 11:14.

Tidying up with Letitia Kiu. I powered through the entire season of tidying up

with Marie Kondo and it was phenomenal. Now we're not gonna make a mockery of this.

While I do love my home I'm not going to be greeting it and making a joke out of

Marie Kondo because I truly respect her views. But we are gonna respect her

teachings and follow all five rules of the KonMari art of tidying up. First

step, clothes. I did a closet clean up video pretty recently, and the closet has

been in pretty good state. I am going to go through each item and make sure that

it sparks me joy. This Wilfred tank top that has giant gaping holes, and I have

too much back fat for, I'm going to say thank you, goodbye. And you have taught me

that I cannot wear clothes like this, because I have so many rolls in my back.

Now I am a product of immigrant parents, and if you know immigrant parents you'll

know that they do not throw things away. My mom has little Sephora sample

containers that she does not throw out. Bless my immigrant parents. I really

understand that, you know, they worked so hard to get this life that they deserve,

and it's hard for them to let go of things that they were not privy to when

they were younger. Me, an ungrateful second generation child, feels none of

that. I have no problems throwing things out and in fact I feel joy when I

clean out things, and purge. It got to the point where I was helping my parents

clean out their house for renovations and there was so many years of junk, and I

was throwing things out but my mom would go through the garbage bag that I threw

out to make sure that I didn't throw away anything, and pulled out most of the

things I have thrown out. Thank you. Thank you.

Closet sale coming near you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

These were my favorite for a long time. Thank you. Now, I will not be cleaning

Stef's side of the closet because so help me God, I speak up a lot about emotional

labor in order to anticipate the needs of all the people in our lives and these

are things that a lot of men don't have to go through. And Stefan has been going

through a lot of deep training of emotional labor so he knows that this is

not my responsibility and I accept that. And I'm okay with this being left like

this, because it is not my job to take care of him. Thank you.

If my five years of retail has taught me anything, is to fold. Ooh Marie taught us

to do a bag within a bag and this is what I'm gonna do. In my closet clean up

video, I folded my entire drawer and redid everything again, but if you look I

can't find anything unless I peel up each and every layer and this is what I

learned from Marie.

And you know what doesn't spark me joy? Bras! Now she says that bras are very

important, and that you shouldn't smush the cups but you know what I think? It's

time for me to just get rid of my bras. I mean I'll keep a couple but I'm gonna

keep them in a secondary, where the tops are. Yoga gives me lots of joy so I am

going to put yoga as a top priority in this drawer. Okay I spent the whole day

here. The sun has gone down. It's 5:30. I'm clocking out for the day

All right, day two. This is the whole reason why I

was doing this Marie Kondo my condo project is because I got a new desk and

this desk has a lot of storage and I have our second closet here. So this is

the second bedroom and it's my office and the second closet barely closes.

This second closet is jam-packed of tools, craft supplies, fabric, clothes that

I know I need to save for next closet sales. We have a box of our files in

there that I need to move into here. It actually got so bad that recently, we

were in this room and we were like why does this smell so heavily of paint. Why

do I smell, it's so chemically. It's smells like solvent in here. And then we're

trying to find the source of it, and then realize that we have an open can of like

wd-40 and it like all the stuff that was piled on top was squishing it and so it

was slowly leaking out aerosol spray. So I'm actually very excited. We're skipping

step two because we don't have books. We only have like this many books. We're

moving straight into step three, which is papers, and I guess miscellaneous office

things. Time to pile things on and then say thank you, and see what sparks me joy.

Papers first, one step at a time. I'm not gonna be like that lady that refused to

follow Marie's rules and was like I'm gonna go straight to what I think is

right. I'm gonna, I'm gonna commit and I'm gonna follow Marie's rules.

I'm watching the episode right now with Sameeta and her husband, and I really

feel for her. I feel like I can't relate whatsoever but I understand her

frustration. This is exactly what my parents go through. My parents are always

arguing about this, where my if my mom wants to buy anything new my dad will be

like, why do you need that you don't need that. When you're both so frustrated at

each other, it's like well she's not gonna listen to you, she's obviously

gonna buy it. But then she obviously also doesn't need it, and she doesn't

respect your decision. I told my dad this all the time but the way that you approach

her is not the not the way that's gonna get her to listen. I don't know, it makes

me think about Stefan and I. I don't think it's fair to compare ourselves

with other couples, but I guess we're really laid-back. Like, we've never argued

about money. We've never argued about throwing things out around the house, and

organizing the home. He definitely needs to clean more, and help out around the

house more, and like the other couple that was like the guys like I'm a

catastrophizer. I am a huge catastrophizer. So it actually is a lot

harder for me to reflect and be like, oh wait our relationship is good. I just

wanted to take this time to acknowledge it right now, before I forget because

Marie is teaching me a lot of deep thoughts and me cleaning my desk is

making me think of my relationship with Stefan and how sometimes I should be a

little bit more grateful that I have things a lot easier than I think it is.

I've had this folder since I was a kid, and I will never throw it out. When I

look at this, I feel immense joy. Went out for a bit. I just came home, and I am

going to do step 4. Komono, which is kitchen, bath, miscellaneous...garage, but we

don't have a garage.

Okay, all this is for donation. Christmas decorations. This, and this. Finally get rid of this box. It feels so good.

We just did cooking yesterday, so it's a bit of a mess in the kitchen.

So rule number five was sentimental items, and the only sentimental items I

have all fit in this box. And this is rule number five done. Like three and a

half days? I'm surprised it took that much because I am a purger, and

throughout the year, I do love to get rid of things. But apparently there were

still things I didn't say goodbye to. My heart is full of joy and this room in

particular, I'm very excited about because I'm doing an office renovation

of this room. I just have to desk done, but I have other things to put up

like backdrop systems and art. So that's that.

Marie Kondo you kicked my ass!

Rachel Notley: What I learned from my Dad about leadership - Duration: 3:31.

Together, there will be no doubt, no dispute by fair-minded people that with

the NDP running second throughout the province of Alberta, as the only

recognized and organized provincial party, that we are clearly the official

opposition in the next Legislative Assembly.

My dad grew up in a farm, and his dad was a dairy farmer and I remember

going up to visit them every summer. That was our one-week holiday, we'd go down to

the farm in olds and watch my my grandpa milking the cows every morning. And so,

that was where my dad grew up.

I was born in Edmonton and then we moved north to Fairview, about six hours north

of Edmonton, when I was six. I grew up in Fairview a little small town of about

2,000 people just north of the Peace River. My dad grew up understanding and

believing in the need for the community come together, and members of the

community to support each other. That's what I grew up watching. He put forward

very, very important ideas. I mean he was talking about environmental protection

in 1973. He was talking about women's rights in the early 70s. He was talking

about indigenous rights, and child protection. He was talking about things

that other folks didn't want to be bothered with. And he never stopped

standing up. That's something that I learned from him very early on.

We were asked by the people of Alberta to lead at a time of great challenge.

And so that's what we've been focused on doing. I'm very proud of the fact that, in

the face of calls to cut and slash and throw people out of work, what we did

instead was we supported our important public services, our healthcare, education.

Making sure that our kids have the best opportunities for the future and that

our loved ones have the care they need when they need it. I'm proud that we've

been able to make such great progress on protecting the environment and ensuring

that our air, and our land, and our water retains its integrity for not only our

grandkids, but their grandkids. Because that only happens if we start the work now.

We are creating jobs. Over ninety thousand since last summer. We are

bringing down the deficit far faster than expected. I'm fighting to make sure

that the people of Alberta can see that we can succeed by doing a lot of good

things and bringing them together. And the fact of the matter is is that we are

a resilient province. We are a province on the move. We are a province with

tremendous opportunity. In many ways this is how I've lived my life. I lived away

from Alberta for a long time and I missed it. I missed the skies. I missed

the easy smile of the people that you meet on the street.

That's who we are as a province. And that's who many, many Albertans are.

And that's what makes this a very special place to be

Foodie Adventures at Mai Thai in Fountain Valley - Amazing Thai Food in Orange County - Duration: 9:11.

Hey guys, Oscar here for notagrouch, notagrouch.com Today I'm heading over to Fountain Valley

and Garden Grove area to try a new Thai restaurant.

I'm going to meet up with social media extraordinaire, Marcie Taylor.

She runs surfcityfamily.com and she also does, I think all the online promotions for Taste

of Huntington Beach which I showed you in a previous video.

Go check it out right here somewhere.

Amazing event, so I'm going to go and catch up with her, she's also a good friend so that's

what we're doing today.

Right now I"m just taking the kids to school.

[intro - notagrouch.com]

Hey, guys so I'm here, let's go check it out, let's take a look...

Mai Thai, there you go, see?

This place looks pretty nice, and it's totally packed and here's my friend Marcie -- [@marcietaylor

] So we're gonna try some stuff, check it out,

so here we have some uhm, this is shrimp right?

Marcie: This is the sampler, shrimp, cheese thing, dumpling thing, this is fried tofu.

Fried tofu, a dumpling, I love these guys, I like everything here, I think I've had it

all, I really like this...

I should make it at home.

Is this a sweet and sour sauce?

This is really good, guys.

You should try it, get the sampler, now... is this special for you, or is this a menu

item?

Marcie: these are the eggrolls which Oscar ate all of them.

No wait, these are different...

Everything looks good as you can see, and then look behind me, as you can see, it's

super full.

So that's always a good sign, obviously it's lunchtime and it's a busy area, but still.

Their lunch specials are 11 to 3 pm, 8, 9 and 10 dollars.

Eight dollars for chicken, pork, tofu or veggies, beef nine bucks, and shrimp is ten bucks.

Oooh and that comes with a soup and salad, that's a deal you can't beat.

Marcie: So everybody here gets the pad thai, traditional Thai

Oscar: Sure Marcie: But I might go for pad see ew

Hey, so far so good, you know what is so good, I highly recommend you try when you come here?

These little eggrolls, so this came in the sampler platter, but oh my god, they're so

tasty.

A little garlicky, and lemony, and I don't quite...

I've never had them so good.

Usually, they're just generic fried stuff, but these ones are... that might be the best

thing on that platter.

I tried the cream cheese wonton, the fried tofu, the other dumplings, and the shrimp

roll-ups, or whatever they're called.

The shrimp rollups and the eggrolls are amazing.

So I highly recommend that.

They still have their Christmas tree up, but they still look like they're really busy and

having fun.

They even have wine here!

Marcie: And, don't forget, Thai beer.

Oooh, Thai beer, yeah.

Next time I'll come for dinner and have some beer...

I see...

Chang...

Chang is thai and Singha...

And they have sake as well, interesting.

Hey guys so one of my favorite things in, from Thai food is the Thai iced tea.

Not calorie friendly, not diet friendly, but let's give it a try.

I always like how they mix it, so I think what they have here is, uh, is it half and

half?

Or is it cream?

Cream and then black iced tea... depends on whatever flavor they have.

And it's super sweet, look, I love how it just swirls around.

The reason why they make this is because of the spicy food.

So you take a couple bites of super spicy food, and this helps you quench that fire!

Ah, it's really good!

Cheers!

Marcie: Tom Ka Gai Nice!

Looks so good... oh is this spicy too?

Did you get me a level five on this too?

Check it out, mmmm!

When you eat Thai food, pad thai and this soup are the essentials.

So let's give it a try... [slurping] -- Oh that, that's good!

That... doesn't need hot sauce, lime... anything.

It's perfect.

Very hot, but so good!

I could eat this every single day.

Mmmm, this is so good, Marcie.

This is amazing.

Marcie: it's good for you too!

Oscar: oh is it?

Why is it good?

Marcie: herbs and lemon grass, I prefer the one without coconut.

Oscar: oh the lemongrass one?

Marcie: and when you have a cold, it's the perfect one.

Oscar: interesting!

There's a lot of meat in here, really good, look at that, oh the bay leaves always give

it a good flavor, this is so good, this is probably the best one I've had in Orange County.

This is the best soup I've had in Orange County!

By far, not probably.

I have a lunch special pad see ew, so this is a lunch portion, it's normally bigger,

and pad see ew is basically flat noodles and your choice of meat, it's got broccoli and

basil for that flavor... we're going to try some.

It looks hot.

Mmmm.

Fun fact!

True fact, Thai people actually eat with spoons and forks.

Oscar: oh really? -- that looks amazing, and then...

I have my panang curry with beef, that also looks delicious, and the soup.

I actually didn't think they would be so big, because it says "small" so I'm going to have

a lot of food right now, probably gonna have some leftovers.

Level five, oh yeah this is uh level five, so from one to ten.

I got the medium one and I'm a little nervous about it because we'll see what level five

actually means.

It's so strange to get "levels" because you never know what it means to any one place.

And even if, even in a linear scale, like let's say 1-10 sometimes one through five

is very little, and then you jump to six and it's like super spicy.

So, in fact, let's give this a try right now.

The beef panang here, this is another one of my favorite dishes.

Oh!

This is good!

And it's not too spicy, perfect!

This is really good too!

This might be overall my favorite new Thai place.

You know, the previous one I showed you, probably the best pad thai...

I haven't tried the pad thai here, and I'm not going to try it today, because this is

already a lot of food, but... wow, this is so good and it's tucked away in this little

corner in Hungtingon Beach.

Oh is this Fountain Valley, technically?

So technically it's fountain Valley.

So yeah, the lunch specials like I told you come with salad and soup, so there's more

food coming.

This is amazing.

What kind of soup is this, do you know?

Hey guys so that's it for Mai Thai, I'll put all the information down below, as I always

do.

I'm not going to be able to finish my food, but it's amazing I have to get it to go.

Oh man, it's all delicious.

It's soo good.

The flavors are amazing, salty lemmony, the lemmongrass, the bay leaves, everything gives

it an authentic... what I think is authentic Thai food.

I've never been to Thailand, but I've had a lot of Thai food.

My lips are a little... little... on fire because of that... uh... both the soup and

the panang are a little spicy.

So if you like super spicy food, get maybe a six or a seven.

If you're like me where you like spicy but you don't want to loose your taste buds, then

between a four and a five Ithink it's perfect.

Uhm, it's crowded but I didn't see any people actually waiting so I think they move through

people pretty fast.

Service is great, definitely come out and check it out.

Talk to you guys next time, bye!

He was trying to get at my wife to be honest with you.

And then I came in there and ... Stefanie: He invited me to New York City twice

with him.

Caleb: And ... I was gonna ... Stefanie: How do you feel about that?

Caleb: I was gonna tell him who's boss but he kinds told me who's boss and then he wanted

to take a bunch of selfies with me so he's kinda my boy now.

Caleb: But anyways, we got some great stuff today on the video, so you guys check it out.

Caleb: (music) Stefanie: Hey you, so I'm about to see Amie

Stefanie: So what should I do?

Caleb: I think you should do exactly what you want to do.

But I think you look beautiful.

Stefanie: Alright I'm gonna get it cut right here.

Caleb: You don't want to do that, I know you don't want to do that.

'Cause I know last time you kinda wanted to keep it very subtle.

Stefanie: Like that.

Amie: Okay.

Stefanie: Kinda looks cool, but I don't know if I want it ... That's going lightest.

Amie: That's a little bit lighter.

Yeah but we can kinda do ... We don't have to do it all solid at the end.

We can still leave some of your natural hair ... The brighter pieces.

'Cause I like the brighter.

I think it'd be really pretty.

When you did it last time, it would brighten up your face so much.

Stefanie: Yeah.

I really like it.

My mom was like [inaudible 00:02:50] it was her favorite color, so she always was like

[inaudible 00:02:54] Amie: Yeah, so I think ... Yeah, it's definitely

gonna be brighter, but you'll keep natural coming through here.

A little bit lighter than the last time.

Stefanie: Oh my gosh.

Amie: Like their picture.

Caleb: So I feel like the decision is made.

Stefanie: I know I'm so bad at describing hair.

Amie is patient with me, though.

Caleb: But I feel like we got it and we're gonna be good.

Stefanie: Yeah.

Caleb: Alright.

Stefanie: She knows best.

Caleb: Yes she does.

Caleb: (music) Stefanie: Okay so I have the foil in my hair.

Amie: We aren't even filming the whole thing.

Giuseppe: Oh excuse me.

Caleb: That's right.

Amie: We did the whole process of this hair.

Giuseppe: [inaudible 00:04:23] Caleb: I agree.

Stefanie: Susan.

Giuseppe: Susie.

I'm Giuseppe.

I love your son-in-law.

My [inaudible 00:04:32] name is Biff.

I know it's not Guido.

Say hi to mom.

Stefanie: Hi mom.

Caleb: Guys do you see my wife right now.

I mean ... Stefanie: Yeah, she killed it.

Caleb: I mean dang.

Stefanie: This girl right here, Amie, she knows what's up with hair.

I love getting my hair done.

Caleb: She's awesome.

Stefanie: I even got a hair message ... Head massage.

Caleb: Apparently I don't give good enough head massages.

Stefanie: But you don't give head massages.

But the girl that was giving my head massage said that you should learn and I agree.

Caleb: Dang, I'd love to learn.

Take care of you.

I do good foot massages.

Stefanie: He does amazing foot massages.

Caleb: So we're gonna try and find some cool spots around Rodeo Drive and we're almost

What do you think about that Coach store?

Stefanie: I love it.

There's so many lights.

Caleb: It's glittery.

Stefanie: The more lights the better.

Stefanie: (music) Caleb: We're having a great day.

Stefanie just got her hair cut.

It's really fun to explore Rodeo Drive is a lot of fun.

So we've kinda been sneaking some shots in front of some stores.

Caleb: Dang, boo, you got expensive taste now.

Caleb: (music) Caleb: It just started raining, so we're trying

to get to the car.

Stefanie's hair looks amazing.

Don't want it to get messed up.

And so she's in my jacket thing, so ... Look at her.

Stefanie: I just took it off though.

Caleb: She looks amazing.

Stefanie: It stopped raining right?

Caleb: Look how beautiful, yes.

Caleb: We hope you guys really liked our Beverly Hills vlog where Stefanie got her hair done,

Caleb: Amie you are awesome.

I'm gonna have to come through and get a little trim haircut too, because you got my wife

looking bomb.

Stefanie: And we're gonna link our Instagram because if you're around the LA area, we definitely

Autism and Aspergers: 5 intriguing differences (YOU need to know) - Duration: 9:27.

in this video are we talking about Autism and Asperger so that by the end

of the video you'll know the difference coming up

hey I'm Dan I have Asperger syndrome OCD ADHD and dyslexia I make weekly

videos on this topic so if you're new around here and want to learn more

consider subscribing and tend the notification ball on so you get notified

when I upload a video hey just a really quick disclaimer I'm

not actually saying in this video that every single person who has Asperger's

syndrome or classic autism falls into these specific rules this is literally

just like a basic medical I guess a professional outliner of the differences

to show like some clear-cut differences between the majority of the people also

Asperger's is an autism spectrum condition and it was taken out of the

dsm-5 nomenclature for diagnosing people so now it's just autism spectrum

disorder and becoming autism spectrum condition so Asperger's is autism and

classic autism is autism so all under the umbrella of the autism spectrum so

that is something to be aware of okay back to the video so the information

that I'm sharing in this video I have not seen anybody else talk about on

videos on YouTube so let's get stuck in okay so before we

get started I just like to know what profession you're from or how you've

come to this video you know are you working in the field or are you so on

just generally wanting to know the difference leave me a comment in the

comment section below I read every single one and reply to every single one

so Asperger's and autism what's the difference let's find out so the first

difference I want to discuss and let me just set the tone of the language here

I'm gonna be talking about classic autism want to talk about classic types

of autism and I'll talk about Asperger's syndrome when I talk about Asperger's

syndrome now a lot of people don't like to use classification terminology

anymore because they find that it's derogative

but for the purpose of this video educational II will talk about

Asperger's syndrome is like a high-functioning and then classic autism

is a lower functioning even though a lot of people don't like to use functioning

labels this is just for the purpose of this video okay so number one is i q--

or intellect so basically people with Asperger's syndrome usually have an

average to above-average IQ meaning that they are intellectually quite bright and

they tend to you focus on like science and maths and

history and some very deep scientific complex puzzled kind of computer natured

topics because that's the way that their brain is wired and other things that

they're interested in but they excel in those areas now looking at the

comparison between that and classic autism people of classic autism have

average to below average IQs so the difference here is that people Asperger

Jenner will usually or typically display a higher IQ average than that of a

person with classic autism a personal classic autism won't really be

interested in the magnitude of intellect a person with Asperger's syndrome

usually displays people like Albert Einstein had Asperger's syndrome

there are other super famous people like Nikola Tesla probably Elon Musk and

other people like that who display these traits of Asperger syndrome and you can

see how their IQ would be set higher than the average person okay so number

two is a verbal communication now people with classic autism usually have little

to no verbal communication skills they can't develop these because the type of

autism spectrum condition that they have in the way their brain is work is

leaving them with difficulty learning these skills now a person with

Asperger's syndrome will have a very good verbal communication skill set that

they have learned and developed over many years and people with Asperger

syndrome usually have great verbal skills and they are very good at talking

ok socially they may not be as advanced as a typical neurotypical person but

verbally they can have verbal communications and be very good at

verbal communication as people with classic autism will have difficulty

talking people with Asperger's syndrome will have ease of talking and actually

creating verbal conversation that has the mean difference therefore number two

just as some extra information I'll leave a link in the cab above to a video

I did for Asperger's versus high-functioning autism and what the

difference is there and leave that in the cab above so you can

check that out because that might be a similar test to you also okay so number

three is a vocabulary now people with classic autism have little to no

vocabulary at all and they can't develop those skills and they have a very

difficult time trying to learn or develop any skills in learning

vocabulary at all people with Asperger syndrome have a vast large and quite

huge volume of vocabulary that is usually somewhat complex and they have

some almost not an obsession but an interest in vocabulary and expanding

that vocabulary so people with Asperger's syndrome have a usually

really good vocabulary skillset whereas people on the classic autism side

wouldn't really tend to have that good a vocabulary or a large vocabulary set at

all so people with classic autism limited vocabulary people with Asperger

syndrome quite a high volume of vocabulary in never cover a skill set

okay so number four is day to day skill set now day to day skill set is very

interesting I'll outline what a day to day skill set is basically the things

that a neurotypical person does on a daily basis which is like getting up

getting themselves ready for work or whatever a school and then getting

themselves to school and going off on those tasks don't think anything of it

but there are various skills that are entwined there in getting up and do all

those things now there's things that range from like

executive function skills to hygiene and then getting dressed and things like

that which is basically a daily life skills now a person with Asperger's

syndrome can learn to put on their clothes they can learn to brush their

own teeth and then they can learn like things like the importance of going

shopping all the things like the importance of getting a job they may

need you know help with managing that job or managing their finances and

organizing their life but they can still learn the skills that they need to

physically prepare themselves for something in the real world tasks

now a person who displays traits of classic autism would have limited

skillset in this region and would then rely on support and help lifelong for

this type of skill set so they may have issues with hygiene and Kondylis they

may have issues with trying to you know go to the bathroom on their own and use

the toilet they may have issues of putting on their own clothes and you

know they have little to no concept of the reasoning for going out and doing

shopping depending on their it obviously level on the spectrum but a classic

autism type person would need daily daily support and day-to-day help with

those tasks because they just don't really develop those skills typically in

a classic autism case so a person with Asperger's syndrome can live somewhat

independently using their day-to-day skills but a person with classic autism

would need daily support and life long support for just those daily tasks alone

let alone emotional and physical support for other things okay so number five is

speech delay now as autism is a developmental condition it does have

like a gradual time period of how it like develops from one thing to another

now one thing that is interesting between the difference of Asperger

syndrome and classic autism is a speech delay now typically children who have

Asperger's syndrome will not display speech delay in growing up like they

they have they'll have typically in normal speech delay like I said as their

vocabulary is super intense and very varied then their speech delay doesn't

come into it you know though they'll gradually get speech they'll learn from

like TV and movies and mimicking other people through kalila and things like

that and then they'll learn how to speak a

typical rate right now people are kids and children with autism of classic

autism they will have a speech delay in growing up so growing up they will have

a varied speech delay and their speech will be very varied like obviously the

delay will be there but then also there'll be very

big gaps in what they can say and how they relate that to real-world

situations so in short Asperger syndrome typically

not really much of a speech delay classic autism there will be a speech

delay present most of the time okay guys my next video over here is for sensory

processing disorder please check that out and I'll be super super awesome if

you want to learn more police hit that subscribe button and I'll see you next

time guys peace

3 Essential Habits to Survive AND Thrive at Work - Duration: 5:10.

okay so no matter what profession you're in you have to stay mentally strong you

have to stay in fighting shape right and you need to keep your head in the right

place if you are gonna be successful in your job and I strongly feel that people

do not put enough emphasis on this in the workplace nor train people on how to

do it correctly so today I'm gonna talk to you about how to be mentally strong

how to keep yourself in a good place so that you can perform the best within

whatever type of work environment you're in then if you watch this whole video

and put these things in practice you're gonna be really successful

okay so first thing it's really important that you have a very good

morning and evening routine you cannot just work around the clock

all day every day trust me I've tried it and it's not something that is going to

lead you to feeling very good about yourself or feeling doing very good in

the workplace so typical morning routines for people who are successful

looks something like this they wake up and first thing they do is think about

what they're grateful for right so visualizing you know 10 things that

they're grateful for really letting that kind of consume you you're feeling

awesome about those good things that you have going in your life next thing you

do number two you will visualize the day so visualize the day exactly how you

want it to go so if you have a couple meetings coming out how do you want to

perform in those meetings how do you want them to go and if you do that what

happens is by the time you get to that meeting you've already been there

mentally in your mind and because of that you're able to perform better in

that meeting the way that you thought that you would do it when you got there

and then another thing that's really important and number three make sure

that the first thing that you do when you wake up is you do not go and grab

your phone and start checking email or responding to instant messaging or

anything like that it's very important for people to have breaks from work so

in the morning make sure you designate a time from when you wake up and then for

whenever you start your day so that you're not sitting there and you're

checking social media and you're going through all this technology and you're

flipping back and forth that's a great way just to bring unnecessary

information into your brain in a time when you should be allowing your brain

to settle allowing your brain to rest so that when you come into the workplace

you can be super successful and dedicate more time and more focused to it so

personally I will do things like that in addition to in the morning exercising

and trying to get in some hard cardio so that you can really get the blood

pumping and get those cells regenerating and then in addition to that

meditating can be another really good thing so if you can carve out five to

ten minutes and meditate try an app like headspace if you have a routine like

that in the morning you're not checking technology until about 8:00 or 9:00 a.m.

you're gonna feel great and fantastic and you're gonna be positive and then

you're gonna have a very very good day so those would be a couple tips that I

would have for you then when you get into the day it starts a whole nother

process so the thing is if you set up your morning routine the way that I just

mentioned then throughout the day you can constantly remind yourself on what

you're grateful for what you would have done to get to where you are how you

know nobody's gonna die tomorrow or anything like that if things don't go

perfectly you know don't put too much pressure on yourself

right think of what you're doing now as practice for getting next to getting to

the next step and then having fun with what you're doing right always having

fun and bringing a positive attitude to what you do every day and and if you

kind of keep those things in mind and then work really hard and you know

really put in a good effort and then you get into the evening when you get in the

evening time it's very important to shut down again right so if you shut down

your phone around 6:00 or or so and then you're not checking anything you have a

good evening routine such as maybe some more exercise or relaxing or reading and

not staying tied into that technology that's going to allow you to have a good

night's sleep and that's going to allow you to be fresh it's going to allow you

to have another break from what you're doing so that when you come back the

next day and and start that morning routine again you're really ready to go

you haven't been able to touch the things that you wanted to and you can

get back and go after it again people do not put enough emphasis on how important

it is to stay in fighting shape to thrive mentally in the workplace and our

society has started to instead glorify entrepreneurs who work around the clock

all day every day 70 hour work weeks and in my opinion if you are working that

many hours you are not being effective enough sure a lot of entrepreneurs or a

lot of people who are really care about their job do you have the wheels turning

a lot but it's important to learn how to take breaks and so that you can come to

work refreshed and do a really great job if this video was helpful to you make

Igor Marach, Technolex Translation Studio: "I think Smartcat is on the right way" - Duration: 2:55.

My name is Igor Marach. I'm the CEO of Technolex Tranlsation Studio,

a company based in Kiev, Ukraine. We started our business in 2010,

we are a quite new company in the market but in those 8 years of our existence

we became one of the largest language suppliers in Ukraine.

Our core business is the supply of Russian and Ukranian languages

to multi-language companies. We work for almost every big MLV in the world.

Like Moravia, Lionbridge, Transperfect, and many, many others.

We began the company with 4 people, 4 linguists, but now we are around 50 in the office

and we've used almost all CAT tools available in the market,

we started using Smartcat recently as well, because it's quite a new tool,

but I believe it will become one of the most popular tools,

which will be competing with ones such as memoQ, Memsource, MateCat, and others.

In my daily operations one of the biggest challenges, I think,

is first of all the necessity to expand the teams really quickly, because we grow very fast,

and it's not that easy to find the proper resources,

to meet more and more demands from our customers.

The market is changing very quickly, and it's sometimes difficult to adapt to the new requirements.

Yes. First of all, thanks to the collaborative environment that it offers,

and then the resource database that it has.

Of course, it's still not the ideal solution for us,

but I think Smartcat is in the right direction to help companies like ours.

Of course, it's AI, Machine Translation, which is now Neural,

and now you have more and more MT agents

and we understand that sooner or later we'll have to accept these changes in our company

and probably the translator's jobs will not be the same

as they were during the last 10 years.

So the nature of work will change for the linguists, PMs, for everyone.

You know, the internet and cell phones

and social media came along, and in theory,

it should make our lives easier, right?

Make us more connected.

But in reality, it's just added a whole new layer

of complication to flirting.

How do you text your crush?

How do you get your crush to text back?

How do you keep a text conversation going on long enough

to ask your crush out?

So many questions.

In this video though, I want to look at just how to

start a conversation with someone via text or direct message

and depending on people's reactions and interest,

I can make more videos on some of these other topics.

Because, you can't just go straight to,

"Hey, I think you're cute.

"Wanna be my girlfriend or boyfriend?"

Yeah, that's not gonna work out great for you.

At least, it never has on me.

Let's start simple with something

you need to ask yourself first,

which is, is this someone you know or have talked to

at least briefly in real life?

It's okay if it's not, but it does add an extra creep factor

that you have to overcome

if you're going to approach someone

that you don't know at all.

But either way, you start with a hello,

and a reason for contacting them,

not just hey or what's up?

No one is going to respond to just hey,

unless they are desperate for attention.

You need more meat for the conversation.

So the thing to do is,

before you even think about contacting them

is to brainstorm some conversation starters.

What do you know or think they might be interested in?

Or, what do you want to know about them?

Or, is there something that you could ask for advice

or their opinion on?

You'll also want to pick your style of conversation.

Are you gonna go with funny and quippy,

or deep and philosophical, or just general interest,

where you're asking them tons of questions?

Now, this depends on both your personality and theirs.

So don't try to be a comedian

if that's not who you are in real life.

Play to your strengths,

but also to what your crush might be interested in.

Okay, once you've taken the leap and actually texted them,

now you have to gauge the conversation as you go.

How much are they responding?

How long are their messages?

Are they changing the subject or asking you questions back?

This is where you have to stay level-headed

and not freak out.

Make sure you take your time between texts

and really think about what you're saying.

You don't have this luxury

when you're having an in-person conversation,

so cherish these moments.

Then, you plan your next step.

Do they seem interested enough to ask to meet up,

or wary or standoffish at all?

What about future conversations,

or maybe a text conversation that technically never ends?

Never ends because it's been years and now you're married.

And finally, a few notes.

Know when to back off.

No means no.

I know this should seem obvious,

but a lot of times with texting,

lack of enthusiasm also can mean no.

If they don't respond to you,

you should stop contacting them.

I would say, after three tries?

Also, don't send like a hundred messages at once.

Send like one or two as an invitation to chat,

and if they don't respond, then wait like a week or two,

and try again.

And if you contact them three times and they never respond,

don't send them a last spiteful message

to let them know what they're missing.

It's just dumb.

And makes you look like a jerk.

Your biggest goal is really to make the other person

feel comfortable talking to you.

Texting is weird.

We miss out on all the facial signs

that humans are wired for,

so it's harder to gauge people's interest and reactions.

Using emojis is helpful,

although sometimes just as confusing

if we have different definitions for the same emoji.

And you don't want to send an eggplant, meaning,

mmm, I can really go for an eggplant sandwich right now,

when they think you mean something else.

And last, don't be discouraged

if they don't seem interested or say no,

because texting is both the easiest and hardest way

to experience rejection.

Easy, because you're not right in front of your crush,

so you can process your emotions without witnesses.

But hard, because it's tempting to keep pestering a person

until they say yes, or to say something mean

from behind a keyboard when you're hurt.

Ah, don't be that person.

Make the internet a better place for dating

and just everything by resisting that urge.

So hopefully, some of this is helpful

if you're trying to connect with your crush

in the digital age.

Us old geezers had to send handwritten notes

and compete on how elaborately folded they were.

Let me know down in the comments

about your wins or fails with texting your crush

and any other questions you might have

that you want me to make a video on.

And as always, remember that you can check me out

on these other social media sites,

and if you haven't already, don't forget to subscribe

and hit that notification bell, so you know

the moment there's a new video.

And I'll see you guys next Thursday.

Bye!

The Best New Vegan Restaurant in America || Eat Seeker: Fancy Radish - Duration: 6:17.

- [Richard] I realized at a very early stage

that really good food is about cooking and flavor.

It's not about meat.

I realized it wasn't the meat that tasted so good,

it's what chefs did to it.

And I realized that you have to appeal

to people through flavor.

Most people would rather have a great vegetarian dish,

rather than a bad meat dish.

People want good food.

Cook good food and they will come.

- Was a die hard carnivore,

and I found out where meat came from at an early age.

And I was hit with this immediate ethical dilemma.

It hit me like a ton of bricks,

that something so delicious can be representative

of such cruelty.

I just had to find this vegetarian way of life.

So I taught myself to cook that way.

How to get these layers of flavor,

these deep, smoky, roasted, caramelized,

wonderful depths of flavor into my food.

I said, "Maybe I could do this professionally.

Maybe people really do want the same kind of food."

So I opened up my first little cafe.

- I ended up working with Rich

for one summer at the restaurant,

way back in the day 'cause I was already a customer,

I loved it.

I was able to go to work everyday,

be challenged and inspired in a restaurant environment,

eat the most delicious food,

and have immediate gratification where customers were like,

"This is so delicious. If I could eat this way all the time,

I could be vegetarian."

- [Richard] And people were coming in like crazy.

Not just hippies and stoners and health nuts,

but families, people in suits and ties.

They were all coming in for this food.

The radish is just a representative

of what we've always tried to do.

- [Kate] I always pointed to it as one

of my favorite dishes,

because it really just encapsulated

what we were trying to do.

You take this very humble vegetable like a radish.

You just think of your plain, salad bar radish.

And yet there's so many varieties of radishes,

and you can do so many things to bring out their colors,

flavors, textures.

- [Richard] We have purple ninjas right now,

Spanish black skin radishes,

of course watermelon radishes.

They have this flesh that just it's so beautiful

and silky and creamy.

When you cook them, people say it looks like ahi tuna.

And its something that no one would have ever

expected from a radish.

There is kind of a Japanese underlying theme here.

We use smoked soy sauce.

We have a yuzu avocado puree

that helps add the richness when you eat it.

We have what we call nori soil,

which is black sesame seeds, black salt, and nori

ground up in the coffee mill

to make this kind of dark soil that's full

of the sea funk and salty sesame flavor.

It's just delicious.

And it all comes together on this plate

in this beautiful little radish garden.

And to me, just eats so harmoniously.

The crunch, the creaminess from roasting them,

the marinating, the pickling, all that comes together.

Dan Dan Noodles at its most basic are noodles

with chili oil and pork.

This is like one of these original street foods.

A guy used to walk around these villages.

He'd have a long stick on his neck,

and two pots hanging off one side.

One pot was full of the noodles and the hot water.

The other was full of sauce and he'd go like this

and you'd have your dan dan noodles right off the street.

And so, I set off to create our own version of that.

Of course a vegan version.

We do these five spiced mushrooms on top.

You have the sauce, and the secret ingredient's tahini,

some sesame paste and that way we get

to add as much heat as we want.

Tons and tons of heat,

but it's kind of tempered with the tahini.

So you have this canvas of sesame paste

to paint these really spicy, vivid flavors on.

And on top of that, we have out ginger

and our Szechuan peppercorns and all the great things

that make Szechuan food what it is.

Szechuan food just completely changed everything

for us when we got to try it.

It's just addictive.

- [Kate] By the time you get to dessert

you should be full right?

You're eating for the soul at that point.

So you want it to be absolutely decadent, rich,

beautiful, perfect.

And yet, at the same time, through the mission

of a vegetable restaurant, I love the idea

of sneaking in some vegetable ingredients.

And I think carrots are really the perfect example

because of carrot cake. It's such an obvious one.

For a long time I stayed away from it

'cause I thought it was too cliche,

but I thought, You know what let's do it,

but rather than just serve a slice of carrot cake,

we decided to present it a little differently.

So it's actually got two layers of cream cheese.

One that's done in a sort of panna cotta style,

with chunks of moist carrot cake that are layered in.

And then we also take some roasted sort of wheels

of carrot and some golden raisins and sort of

plump them back up so that they're a little bit

soaked and juicy.

We do a scoop of a roasted carrot ice cream.

When I was a little girl, my mom used

to make a pot roast with carrots.

I remember the flavor of the carrots

when they were roasted like that.

There was this salty, savoriness to them.

So for this ice cream, we actually roast

the carrots ahead of time.

And it ends up having this beautiful savory

kind of quality to it.

So a scoop of that in there.

We do a walnut streusel to give a little bit

of crunch and texture in there.

And the last element, of course, is the cream cheese frosting.

I'm a frosting girl. (laughs)

Some people get the birthday cake

and they just want the cake, and I'm like,

"Give me the corner piece, with like all the extra piping."

So to me, having that frosting in there is really important.

And to me, it just like delivers on everything

you want out of a perfect carrot cake.

- [Richard] New York is saturated with vegan restaurants.

DC had very, very, very few.

- [Kate] Yeah the restaurants were all

excellent at accommodating a vegan diner,

but they didn't specialize in it.

A lot of people are coming in here and they want

to have a fantastic meal and try some really great food.

But we've been doing this a really long time.

Really carving out our own approach

to cooking vegan food.

So it's just fascinating to see how

people approach their meal differently.

No longer do they have to have an entree

that had protein, starch, veg, and sauce.

It was sort of like, "OK I'm going to be more open-minded

to all kinds of food."

So I think that allowed us to really develop

and sort of push boundaries.

I feel like we've become vegan translators. You know?

- [Richard] Yeah. Yeah.

Composting at home Part 1 (english sub) - Duration: 9:35.

Today is

December 4th

I put some more leaves

Some green leaves

Some more banana peels, paper

And I mixed every three days.

There isn't an unpleasant smell

Smells like dirt

Oh, I also put some little worms that I found in the soil

The eggshells are still whole

Now, the banana peels disappeared quickly.

And now I'm going put what's here in this plastic boss

Boss... boX

I put chopped cardboard here

Because here it is too small already. So I'lm going to do like this

Here I will put the greener things and when they decompose a little I'll put them there.

And I'm planning to buy earthworm casting and throw it in here to see if they born.

What?

What?

What?

Come here.

And now I'm going to see if there's liquid down here.

It's kinda wet here

I think it's compost tea

Oh, no, it's coming off the wall.

Nothing.

But here it is wet

It's wet here.

Down here it's a bit damp too

I want to see if there's a worm alive here.

When I threw them they were like this

Very small

There is still green leaf

I will not make holes in this box, because since I'm not throwing a lot of green food

I do not think it will release too much liquid

I found a worm

Poor thing

Are you alive?

Wow, it's big

Here

A worm

Go

Nasty

No, Vivi. Get out.

Vivi, no!

I don't want to hurt any

Done

And I'll do it like this

I'll push it here.

Then when here is well decomposed

I'll throw the food here

For them to go from here to there

Here I put cardboard

And I'm not going to put it on top of that one there anymore.

So I have a plastic bag here

In case there's too much liquid at least there's a bag

Here I have a lot of vegetables that I've frozen

A lot

I think it's too much

On top I'll go put

Dry leaf

More or less

I need to get more

More

This is from a tree next to my house.

They are three pines trees in fact

So a lot of leaf falls here

Like a lot of leaf

So this one I'm going to mix

I think because the liquid get out

Then air gets in

Through the foam

So that's why I don't have to mix a lot and it doesn't stink.

Mix every three days this one here.

This one here because it has no holes

I'll mix or I'll open the lid every day

To enter some air
