Processi Bestiali - BIZZARRO BAZAR Ep. 1 - Duration: 9:56.There is a place
where amazing things happen.
A place full of enchantment and terror,
fantastic creatures, incredible stories,
astonishment and wonders.
This strange place
is our universe.
My name is Ivan Cenzi,
and this is 'Bizzarro Bazar'.
"If an ox gore a man or a woman, that they die:
then the ox shall be surely stoned, and his flesh shall not be eaten;
but the owner of the ox shall be quit."
Thus says the book of Exodus,
and the idea that an animal
could be prosecuted for its misdeeds
seems utterly bizarre today.
And yet, from the 9th to the 19th century,
more than 200 trials took place
in which the defendant was an animal.
Pigs, chickens, horses, sheep,
bulls and cows, dogs, mice,
wolves, and even dolphins were prosecuted;
but also cockroaches, termites, grasshoppers and snails.
This type of process took place almost everywhere across Europe,
rom France to Switzerland, from Tyrol to Germany,
from the Netherlands to Mediterranean countries
such as Spain and Italy.
For example, in 1474 a rooster was put in the dock in Basel.
The criminal charge was...
laying an egg.
A nulla valsero gli sforzi degli avvocati difensori,
The defense lawyers tried very hard to convince the jury
that laying an egg was an involuntary act and thus not punishable by law,
but to no avail: the rooster was condemned to the stake.
A single animal was tried by a civil court,
while when an entire community of animals was to be condemned,
as in the case of "sores" such as locusts or flies,
they were excommunicated by an ecclesiastical tribunal.
As if the locusts cared about being excommunicated!
In 1522 in the town of Autun, in France,
all the rats of the surrounding countryside were summoned
before the ecclesiastical court, on the charge of infesting the region.
When the rats did not show up at the first hearing,
defense attorney Chassenée claimed that his clients
had been notified on too short notice,
as their population spread over a large geographical area
and the rats lived in different villages.
The court then ordered a second summons
to be read aloud from the pulpit of each parish;
the rats once again did not show up,
so Chassenée asked that the rodents be given more time
to move to the place where the trial took place.
The request was deemed reasonable, and the hearing was adjourned on a third date.
The process reinforced the reputation of Chassenée
as an animal defense lawyer,
and he even wrote a famous 'Treaty on the Excommunication of Insects',
many times republished.
In 1587, it was the turn of cockroaches
to be called to appear before the court.
After long deliberations, it was decided the accused
were to be offered a lot of barren land on which they could live in peace;
but the defense lawyers refused, precisely because the land was too dry.
What was the true purpose of these trials?
It's easy to think that such absurd proceedings
were the product of some kind of superstition,
but in reality the intellectual elite of the time,
and even important philosophers like Thomas Aquinas,
saw nothing wrong with it.
So why did intellectuals and jurists,
throughout the Middle Ages and even at the beginning of the Enlightenment,
consider it legitimate to put a fly or a pig on trial?
According to scholars, we first need to understand the medieval historical context,
one of epidemics, economic depression,
large migrations and widespread social conflicts.
It was a time of great insecurities and distrust of institutions.
An important clue is the fact that legal proceedings against animals
followed exactly the same rules, the same terminology,
and the same process of a normal trial;
the expenses for transfers, judges and lawyers,
and for paying the city executioner were the same as in an ordinary trial.
Animals, just like men,
could be whipped in public, burned alive, hanged;
sometimes – as was the case with pigs – they ended up imprisoned in jails along with criminals.
In many cases during the trials the animals were even dressed in human clothes.
The most plausible explanation for these trials
is that they were some sort of theatrical enactments,
designed to reassure the population on many levels.
On one hand, the Church and the authorities were able to show,
through these moral dramas, the strength with which they maintained order and law,
and the severity of the punishment that awaited those who committed a crime
– whether they were human or not.
On the other hand, on the account of the plague and other epidemics,
in mdeieval times Nature was perceived
as frightful, inexplicable, uncontrollable;
these trials gave the impression of keeping natural forces at bay;
they worked as a reaffirmation of control over the elements.
If an animal, for example, caused the death of a child,
that event was inscribed within a more recognizable frame
– crime, violation of the law.
And, in a sense, the animal's actions
suddenly became less arbitrary, and more understandable.
Therefore this ritual was highly metaphorical:
an animal condemned to death and killed on the public square,
perhaps even dressed like a man,
was a very dramatic portrayal
of the purging of crime and danger from society.
Luca, what is this strange object?
This object, Ivan, really struck me.
When I first saw it, its strange shape
reminded me of a squid.
So I asked what it was and to my great surprise
they told me it was a cannibal fork.
I just had to buy it!
I then asked for more information.
This comes from the Fiji Islands, it's made of wood
and it dates back to the late 19th, early 20th century.
But how was it used?
In our culture, we tend to think of big cooking pots in which
these poor Europeans, maybe Jesuit missionaries, were boiled alive...
Of course none of this is true. It was a serious matter.
It belonged to the realm of spirituality.
There were internal conflicts between tribes.
After the battle, the most valiant warrior among the defeated was taken alive.
The attendant of the shaman – since the shaman himself could not
touch the food with his hands – took a little piece of meat...
with this fork they would take a small piece of meat,
put it in his mouth,
so the shaman acquired the power of this valiant warrior from the rival tribe.
These forks are so sacred they are kept in sanctuaries.
So you see, our ideas about cannibalism are sometimes influenced
by comic books or movies...
An object like this shows precisely how actual cannibalism
was hardly ever related to food as a necessity,
but rather had a symbolic function.
The Eskimo–Indian Olympics,
which take place every year in the period of July/August,
feature a unique sport that might look funny at first sight,
but which is actually quite extreme:
the "ear pull".
Like all the other disciplines in this particular type of Olympics,
designed to preserve the Inuit traditional heritage,
the ear pull is also of ancient origin.
The two contestants sit inside a circle,
and a string is looped behind their respective left or right ears.
At the signal, the competitors begin to pull,
shifting their body weight backwards.
The first to fall, or to give up because of the pain, loses the game.
It is said the ancient Inuit used to play this game of endurance
outdoors, in the Arctic's harsh and freezing weather,
making the challenge even more difficult and painful.
But even today, this practice is anything but risk-free,
as it can cause tearing and bruising of the ear.
So kids, don't try this at home..
or at least keep some ice on hand!

INTERVIEW: Akhmed GADZHIMAGOMEDOV (RUS) 79KG Champion Yariguin - Duration: 1:22.Congratulations on your victory. What are your feelings and emotions?
Thank you! What are my emotions? I have just won.
But I lost one match.
Because of the round robin system of the competition,
I got a chance to wrestle in final.
And I won the final match.
I was meant to win. The God wanted it to be like that.
What do you think of your opponent?
My opponent trained at the same gym as me.
We knew each other.
It happened that I lost the first match to him.
But in the final match I won.
He is a good wrestler.
He has very good results now.
What does it mean for you to wrestle at the competition named after such a great wrestler as Ivan Yariguin?
It's is one of the most prestigious competitions for us. It is also a qualification for the European championship.
Of course, it's a great pleasure to win it.
It's a pity that there are just a few wrestlers in each weight category this year.
Earlier wrestlers from all over the world could take part in the this competition.
This time there were only 6 wrestlers in my weight category
that's why we had round-robin system.
What are you going to do next?
I will go home, have some rest
and then little by little I will start getting ready for the European championship.
If the coaches agree.
Thank you. Congratulations.

BVB Dorm Duel 2019 Part 2 w/ Reus and Wolf as hosts! - Duration: 5:32.Welcome!
I'm just hearing we have to go to an ad break…
What was that?
We have to keep an eye on you two now.
Stop being such an idiot!
Sorry!
Black or Yellow?
This is a great question: who is the better dancer?
Three, two one…
Yes! Very good.
Correct – no doubt about that.
But someone isn't convinced.
I'm a little bit Brazilian, samba, you know…
Mili, why did you say Marwin?
I think Marwin has a bit more experience.
I've had one more wedding dance, true.
You like dancing, don't you?
Yep, but I can't dance.
It doesn't matter, it looks good!
Borussia Dortmund Dorm Duel Marbella 2019
And similarly, who's the better singer?
This might be a problem: he thinks it's him.
Three, two, one…
Oops.
You're always singing something.
Ooh, it's happened again!
What's going on? You're not getting on very well.
I've heard him singing.
In the car.
I think BVB-TV has a new challenge
His tuning was really good.
I've been practising.
Oh Shinji… I'll go to Japan sometime and we'll go to a karaoke bar.
Borussia Dortmund Dorm Duel Marbella 2019
Which of you two has the best fashion sense?
I'm excited for this one.
Ooh, this is another easy one.
Every time I look at his shoes…
The best out of these two isn't necessarily…
Three, two, one… -Wait!
This time it's me.
What are you doing?! -No, forget it.
No, we can't accept that, we saw you!
Yeah, but it's difficult…
No way.
For the edit: Mili had black, and Marwin had yellow.
I'm getting better, I've picked up a few things from him, and him from me.
Me from you too, yeah?
For example…?
For example the shirts.
No, just kidding!
Three, two, one…
Well obviously!
Why?
Japanese Beckham - Shinji's the Japanese Beckham.
You're a role model.
No, but you pick up tips as you go along, like should you shave your beard…
I didn't think he was old enough to start shaving.
Borussia Dortmund Dorm Duel Marbella 2019
So, the last question for you today.
Thanks again for your attention.
Who is funnier?
It is clearly you.
I'd say the opposite. -Answers please.
What do you like about him in particular?
When he laughs… I don't know, it's his hair!
What?!
What the hell?! Stop being such an idiot!
Sorry!
Why do you think he's funny? What is it about him?
It's the hidden jokes, you have to think about them.
No… I don't think I'm very funny.
Dry, but… honest!
Three, two, one…
Yes!
Sometimes he annoys me, he likes doing that.
Are we finished? -Yes, thank you.
It's been a lot of fun.
You guys have done a great job, very smooth, I have to say.
And it's great that there haven't been any ad breaks.
Ad breaks are so annoying, aren't they?
Thanks a lot!
It was a great show, with Marwin Hitz – Hitz! Hitz! –
And Maximilian Philipp – Football God!
Good night guys, great job.

Arsenal transfer news: Ex-Gunners director tells players NOT to join Emery set-up - Duration: 3:16.Andries Jonker was academy director at Arsenal from 2014 until 2017. The 56-year-old left his role with the Gunners to become manager at Wolfsburg but parted ways with the club after just seven months
The Dutchman has now sent out advice to young players that are thinking of joining Unai Emery at Arsenal, and it's not positive
"I would advise them to play 100 games on the continent first," said Jonker. Emery himself has bemoaned the amount of talent available in the current window and warned fans that deals are hard to come by
"This transfer window is not easy to take players that can help us with better performances than the players we have now," he said
"The club is working and I spoke with Sven [Mislintat, head of recruitment], with Raul [Sanllehí, the director of football] about different possibilities with players
"They are working but it is not easy to take players that can help us with big performances now
"We are looking, the club is working with the possibility to loan players and if we can take [somebody] for helping us in a different position on the team, then maybe we can
" Arsenal were knocked out of the FA Cup by Manchester United on Friday and former Gunners and Chelsea midfielder Steve Sidwell has slammed their transfer dealings
"What is going on with Arsenal, first and foremost, is that the transfer policy is just outrageous," Sidwell told The Debate
"They have gone in to this stadium to generate money and compete with the top teams in this league and to go into this window and only getting loans is just, I mean it is just ridiculous
"In terms of the player [Denis Suarez] you have got to look at Aaron Ramsey who is going to be leaving, they're going to need someone to get in
" Sidwell reckons that Emery's side are in dire need of reinforcements in January, but understands that they don't have money to spare at present
"To be fair it might fit and tick all the boxes if they can get someone on loan, obviously then it's a trial period to see if the player adapts to the club, if the club feels like it wants the player then to extend it into next season," Sidwell added
"The way Aaron Ramsey's gone about his business this season on and of the pitch, he's held himself in such high esteem that they need to sign someone that's going to fill that gap
"

News24 - Man Utd transfer window so far - what they've done and what they could do - Duration: 4:24.Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has hit the ground running after returning to Manchester United to replace Jose Mourinho
The Norwegian legend became the first ever United manager to win his first six league games in charge following their 2-1 win against Brighton which moved his side back into top four contention
United are hot on the heels of Chelsea following their exceptional run of form and team morale is high thanks to Solksjaer's influence
Bringing Champions League football back to Old Trafford is crucial for the club and a top four finish would greatly increase the former forward's chances of landing the job permanently in the summer
The January transfer window slams shut in less than a week – here is what Manchester United have done so far
Who have Manchester United signed and sold? There have been no new arrivals at the club thus far
Former boss Mourinho was desperate to improve the club's defence after missing out on numerous targets during the summer window
However, the right deal is yet to present itself meaning the Red Devils are likely to prioritise signing a new defender in the summer rather than paying an inflated price in January
Instead of focusing on transfers, Solskjaer has placed his faith in United's current crop of players with the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial enjoying a new lease of life under his tutelage
No players have left the club but plenty of youngsters are expected to depart on loan to get some first-team football under their belt
What do Manchester United need? Centre-back remains a key area of improvement with Phil Jones and Victor Lindelof proving to be unreliable at times throughout the season
Adding a world-class option to their back four would address their woeful defence record this season – United have conceded 33 goals already this season, more than any other side in the Premier League top six
A long-term replacement for Antonio Valencia should also be targeted as the Ecuadorian is approaching the twilight of his career and has been linked with a summer exit with his contract due to expire in the summer
Who could Manchester United sign before deadline day? Solksjaer isn't expected to sign anyone before Thursday's deadline unless the right offer presents itself
United chief executive Ed Woodward will be concerned to see the club lose their position as the highest earning football club in the world in a study conducted by Deloitte; bringing a marquee signing to Manchester could be a solution to raise revenue
They are huge admirers of Napoli defender, Kalidou Koulibaly, but it would take a world-record fee to prise him from Italy and Carlo Ancelotti will not want to lose his star man until the summer
Crystal Palace wonderkid, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, would be the perfect replacement for Valencia on the right flank – the 21-year-old has been one of the most consistent performers in the league this season and has been linked with a move to a top six club as a result of his impressive showings
Finally, Solskjaer wants to inject some fresh talent into his forward line with Alexis Sanchez struggling since joining from Arsenal , a £25m move for PSV Eindhoven youngster Steven Bergwijn could prove to be an astute piece of business

The result when Lionel Messi & Cristiano Ronaldo's full stats are compared for 2018/19 - Duration: 6:22.Football News24/7 Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are the best two players in the world
Try and persuade us otherwise. Over the last 10 years, the mercurial duo have bulldozed through every record imaginable and will go down in history not as two of the greatest footballers but two of the greatest sportspeople
Legends like Pele, Diego Maradona and Johan Cruyff all dominated their own eras of the 'beautiful game' but what makes the current epoch so special is that two greats are playing side by side
As a result, the Messi-Ronaldo debate is by far the most divisive in the sport, with both sets of supporters feeling incredibly strongly about the greatest-of-all-time (GOAT) debate
Many will cite Ronaldo as the most complete footballer, believing he has superiority for his prowess in a wide range of attributes and for being the 'greatest goalscorer in history
' Ronaldo vs Messi debate Meanwhile, the argument for Messi tends to revolve around the beauty of his performances and his knack of producing incredible feats in remarkable fashion
For many years, comparing the two was quite simple with both players residing in La Liga but the lines have somewhat blurred now that Ronaldo has swapped Real Madrid for Juventus
That doesn't eradicate every form of comparison, though, and while nothing will ever settle the debate, statistics is the one area where a 'winner' between Ronaldo and Messi can be chosen
Statistical comparison Enter Whoscored.com. The statistical aggregator is an absolute gold mine for data and allows users to compare individual footballers in areas that many fans didn't even know were recorded
So, what happens when you type Ronaldo and Messi into the search engine? Collecting data from this season, it allows football fans to decide a superior figure across four categories: summary, defensive, offensive and passing
All that considered, here is what happens when you compare Messi and Ronaldo in all these areas over four months into the 2018-19 season
Summary Messi wins in this category, no question. The Barcelona man has scored more goals, provided a greater number of assists, has more Man of the Match awards, boasts a better disciplinary record and has done that all in fewer games than Ronaldo
Ronaldo only comes out on top in pass success rate and aerial duels won. We're not sure averaging more shots per game is a positive, especially when it isn't translating to more goals
Defensive Perhaps unsurprisingly, this is a victory for Ronaldo. The 33-year-old produces more interceptions, clearances, blocks and is dribbled past on fewer occasions than Messi
The only downside to those statistics are the fact it means Ronaldo commits more fouls on average and unexpectedly, Messi actually comes out on top in the tackling department
Offensive Here's probably the round you would expect to be the closest, but it's actually a convincing win for Messi
Alongside his superior goal and assist totals, Messi tops the podium when it comes to key passes, number of dribbles and the amount of fouls won per game
On the other hand, Ronaldo leads in some rather undesired categories with the Portuguese being dispossessed on a more regular basis and averaging more poor touches
Passing It's become rather vogue to name Messi the best passer in world football and, well, the statistics certainly support that claim
Assists, key passes, through balls, long balls and total passes are all categories that see Ronaldo settling for a silver medal
The Juventus man will have to console himself with the fact he delivers more crosses per game and, in fairness, does have the higher pass success rate
So, as far as the statistics are concerned, we make that a comfortable 3-1 win for Messi this season
Who do you think is the greatest player of all time? Have your say in the comments section below

UCLA's Moses Brown comes up big in 90-69 rout over Arizona - Duration: 7:42.It was a photo op from a dream. Moses Brown stood next to the NBA's all-time leading scorer and a UCLA legend he hopes to emulate in ways other than just being a 7-footer from New York
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar focused the moment entirely on the young Bruin, pointing at Brown in his white warmup gear and welcoming him to his alma mater in a photo he tweeted out before the game
Advertisement > Abdul-Jabbar had returned to the site of his college glory Saturday night to be honored at halftime as part of a celebration of greatness
The unusually large crowd at Pauley Pavilion cheered another Bruins big man throughout the game, Brown breaking out of a two-week slump to help UCLA enjoy a 90-69 stomping of Arizona
Equally memorable was the first meeting of giants from different eras. "I always wanted to meet him and I always thought I would meet him here and that was it," Brown said of Abdul-Jabbar
"He just told me to keep up the good work." Brown put in a yeoman's effort against the Wildcats, fighting for rebounds, elevating for putbacks and even making a handful of free throws
He logged a double-double by early in the second half and finished with 15 rebounds, 11 points and two blocks as the Bruins emphatically ended a three-game losing streak
It was a collective breakthrough for UCLA. Forward Kris Wilkes turned in his most efficient performance of his two college seasons on the way to a career-high 34 points, and point guard Jaylen Hands tallied 12 points and 11 assists to go with his five turnovers
Wilkes fulfilled the prediction of Bruin radio broadcasters who said he would eventually break out of a prolonged shooting funk by making 12 of 16 shots and five of seven three-pointers
He also had three assists, including a lob that Jalen Hill snatched for a two-handed dunk
"Ultimately, it's up to me to make the right decision," Wilkes said. "If I'm not open, swing it and I think tonight I calmed down a lot more and wasn't trying to force a lot of shots like I did previously in past games
" Wilkes sparked one final cheer in the closing minutes when he banked in a three-pointer at the end of the shot clock
The crowd of 11,164 marinated in the blowout, chanting "U-C-L-A!" on a night when Wilkes' surge helped his team make 57
9% of its shots. "We know that's the player he is," Bruins interim coach Murry Bartow said, "and it's good to see him making shots, feeling good, playing confident
" The Bruins (11-9, 4-3 Pac-12) could exhale for most of the second half after a 24-12 surge out of halftime gave them a 25-point lead on the way to their most lopsided win over the Wildcats (14-7, 5-3) since a 22-point shellacking in February 2011
There was all sorts of fun for UCLA on a night it honored its 1968-69 national championship team
The sweet-shooting Lynn Shackelford pantomimed his form and bowed to Abdul-Jabbar when the 7-footer was introduced
Guard John Vallely, addressing the crowd and mentioning how the Bruins went 29-1 during one stretch, deadpanned, "It was tough times at Pauley Pavilion
" That had actually held true in recent weeks, the Bruins dropping three of their previous five home games
Advertisement > They were sloppy for stretches against Arizona, but it hardly mattered given the Wildcats' epic shooting struggles
Arizona made only 22 of 66 shots (33.3%) and eight of 26 three-pointers (30.8%), sinking only its chances at avoiding a second consecutive loss
Guard Brandon Williams had 19 points for the Wildcats, who played without the injured Chase Jeter
Brown was active early with a jump hook for UCLA's first points. He later lunged for his own miss, snatching the ball for a one-handed putback dunk, and triggered some of the loudest cheers in the first half when he made a free throw
Brown endured his usual misses at the line, making only three of nine attempts, but there was no need to nitpick on a night he turned in his own personal tribute to UCLA's greatest player
Brown said he had also spoken to Bill Walton before the Bruins great called the game for ESPN2 in something that's become a pregame routine whenever Walton is around
"These guys have been here and done that and they have so much to teach me," Brown said
"So I just want to go out there and play to the best of my ability, follow in their footsteps
" UCLA next Wednesday at Washington State, 7 p.m., Beasley Coliseum, Pac-12 Network — Losers of eight of their last nine games, the Cougars (8-11, 1-5 Pac-12) are challenging California for last place in the conference
They play at Oregon on Sunday. Sign up for our daily sports newsletter »

Hypnotist demos money is not a motivator as we can hpynotize ourselve not to be - Duration: 5:33.[Feel Good Hypnosis music plays]
The person I'm touching now, only the person I'm touching now, on the count of three
you'll open your eyes you'll remember exactly where your mouth is you will no
longer feel thirstier than you naturally do but when you wake you will not be
able to remember the number seven, the number seven is just erased from your
mind you'll know how to count, just like you were taught in school one two
three four five six eight nine ten eleven twelve, nod your head that you
understand, that other numbers just erased from your mind you will not be able to say it.
and for you, the person I'm touching now, on the count of three when you open
your eyes, if you see someone with a hat on their head and the hat is not straight
on their head, that really irritates you, you will not shout, you will not be rude, you
will not be physical in any way but you will want to go over and correct the hat
on their head, nod your head that you understand. If you see someone
with a hat on their head that's not correct, you will just want to to correct that hat.
The person I'm touch now, the number seven just disappeared one two
three four five six eight nine ten eleven twelve that's how you learnt to
count that's how you count now, nod your head that you understand,
so one two three open your eyes.
So, one two, three open your eyes.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11!!
Something doesn't .. something doesn't seem right here, does it, something doesn't seem right
How's it going there?
Yeah!! [Man laughs]
That impulse really getting stronger, isn't it, really

You will want to correct that, you really want to correct that.
I'm fighting it!!

Bernard Tomic may play Davis Cup again, Tennis Australia says - Blog News - Duration: 5:13.Tennis Australia (TA) says the door is open for Bernard Tomic to return to the Australian Davis Cup squad, despite Lleyton Hewitt declaring he would never play again while he was captain
But TA chief executive Craig Tiley admitted Tomic was a "long way" back if he wanted to be considered for selection in the future
The public spat between Tomic and Hewitt dominated headlines in the first week of the Australian Open, with the Queenslander calling on his former teammate to step down as Davis Cup captain
Hewitt responded by saying Tomic would not play Davis Cup under his captaincy, while accusing him of "blackmail" and making "physical" threats towards him and his family
Tiley said he believed Hewitt's comments were made "in a time of the highest level of emotion"
He said Tomic would never be barred from representing Australia in Davis Cup but talks would have to take place with Hewitt if he wanted to be selected
"As far as I'm concerned the doors are always open for players to compete," Tiley told Grandstand
"You'd want them to have that conversation and Lleyton is the captain of the team and that will happen at some point
" While feeling Hewitt was speaking in the heat of the moment, Tiley could not question the former world number one's passion for Australia's Davis Cup team
He also said Hewitt was not out of line to select himself for doubles rubbers while a captain, as suggested by Tomic
"He wants to put a team on the court every time that gives him the best chance to win the tie and that decision is up to him," Tiley said
"If he makes the decision with the team that he is the best person to put out on the doubles court because that is the best chance to win the tie then they'll [selectors] all agree and they have and that sometimes doesn't get played out fairly publicly
"I'm pretty confident that the last few ties that we've played, Lleyton has put the team out there that is the most ready, the most prepared to win the ties
" Tiley was hopeful Tomic would turn his career around, saying he had squandered his talent that was evident when he won an Australian Open main-draw match as a 16-year-old
"There's still upside, there's still opportunity," Tiley said about Tomic, who is now 26
"It's not all doom and gloom, he's young still." Nick Kyrgios was also implicated in the Davis Cup soap opera, after Tomic claimed the 23-year-old was one of several Australian players who disliked Hewitt
Kyrgios later took a swipe at Hewitt on social media about his decision to watch Alex de Minaur play a third-round match at the same time fellow Australians John Millman and Matt Ebden were also on court
The Canberran's behaviour during the early stages of his career has polarised the Australian sporting public and Tiley said he would have to shape up if he was to realise his immense talent
"Our influence on being able to change that or anything else is marginal if best … It's not like being on a team where your teammates can bring you into line
"We of course would like to see Nick maximising his talent, doing what we expect an Australian athlete to get out there and compete for but I can only talk to my experiences with Nick Kyrgios and they've always been good
"Off the court he's fantastic, gracious, he makes himself available to talk to kids and I think he's misunderstood in that space
"As a player on the court we want to equate everything to that same behaviour off the court and he's got to cross that bridge because he's got the ability to do that and at some point he's got to make that decision
"
