We met a developer of the game.
Who says that making that game was tough because is pointless to make twice the same game.
And that's what they choose to make a complete new game that reminds us the original one as we play.
This quote explains pretty good what a remake should be.
As time keeps passing and the best games for older consoles stays behind.
And as their franchises one way or another got a reputation, remakes are getting more common as well.
Because overall is easier to make a remake than creating a whole new game from zero.
And the remake has an advantage against a new title.
We know the story of the remake, the characters, what is waiting for us and we know is something we like.
There are remakes that only improve graphics and there are remakes that doesn't even do that.
And the best remake for me was Resident Evil Remake for the Gamecube.
A game that not just let us have the complete classic collection of RE games for the gamecube, with RE0.
But it also change many things from the original title, though it was the same mansion,
you get to the same lab to be betrayed by Wesker and then you must eliminate the Tyrant to escape.
But they also add the crimson heads who where zombies that came back more aggressive and moved faster.
If we didn't incinerate their bodies after killing them.
And also we got all the story of Lisa Trevor and her family.
But this thoughts have change on the last few days with the release of Resident Evil 2.
If you don't know if you should give or not a chance to this game I can tell you that if you're a fan of RE.
Or a survival horror fan, you definitively should... but this was meant to be a first impressions video.
And due to lack of editing time I ended Leon's story and started Claire's before finishing that video...
There are not going to be any plot spoilers but there are going to be comparisons between both titles.
So if you want everything yo be a surprise for you when you get to this parts, close the video and come later.
The beginning of the game is already too different because now its a small tutorial that we didn't have before.
Beyond that, the walkthrough is still the same from R.P.D. to the lab.
Except for some new rooms, some new goals, designs, game mechanics
R.P.D. now have 3 floors instead of 2, and the second floor is accessible since the beginning
And we must not activate any stairs as on the original game, the lab has exactly the same entrance.
But the new technologies makes it look way better than the original despite of being exactly the same design.
Spiders and some other enemies where substituted for other enemies with similar capacities.
For instance, spider substitutes can poison us, some important points on the game are still here.
But with some modification to adapt it better to our times
For example, the chess plug puzzle is back but now we have a clue of where to plug the plugs instead of just plugging them.
Enemies are excellent versions of their former self, even if you choose normal mode.
You'll think it twice before fighting a zombie because you'll probably need that ammo later.
And you'll try to stay away from lickers if you can.
Battles against William Birkin are more fun an memorable due tho the change of gameplay.
And the original story of the game is untouched but it's told of a different way.
That you don't need to play the original game to understand it but you'll expand your knowledge if you did.
And you'll revive those memories of so many time ago.
The sewers part we play with Ada deserves it's honorable mention.
For being completely different of Ada's part from the original game.
On this remake they put Ada since the beginning as a more strong and independent character.
And make it more congruent with the Ada from Resident Evil 4 and further games.
Once we clear the game, we can choose starting over or continuing with the second part of the story.
I haven't got so far in any of them but it's obvious that there are changes to obvious from the beginning
If you choose Claire or of you conitnue her story as the second part of Leon's.
Plus, and as well as on the original game, what you did with Leon will affect Claire's somehow.
For last but no least, developers made a great use of the graphic engine to make a gore game.
As the original titles were back on their days , with results not for sensible people.
Though some scenes are not as brutal on this game as they were on the original.
From the beginning they let us see crystal clear that this are merely narrative changes, and not censures.
Overall we have a very addictive and fun game that can be a tough challenge if we go for its hardcore mode.
A pretty strong successor for the original Resident Evil 2 and.
And an open door for many possibilities for further remakes and titles of the franchise.
Not for those who doesn't like heavy experiences but a total must be for the fans of the franchise and horror.
A great mix of the new and the old of the franchise, and that's why for me, RE2 Remake is the father of all remakes.

We've stopped at this gas station on the road and we'll have lunch here with a typical icelandic hot dog
It is 450 icelandic krona, around 4 euros and it's the cheapest thing you can find here in Iceland

And now what we do? We look on internet and it said that if you put only a few diesel in it (we put 8 L.)
You could not call the tow truck putting in it gas, so that it mix up and you're save
And so we did, we put 20€ of gas in it, we drove around and at the end it gave no problems, so we continued our journey without problems
On internet there was written that probably the car could "hiccup" but it didn't happen
Now we put other gas in it, so the diesel is probably consumed
I'm speaking with low voice because there are my hosts at home. I don't know what they are thinking now, hearing voices from above

Who says that making that game was tough because is pointless to make twice the same game.
And that's what they choose to make a complete new game that reminds us the original one as we play.
This quote explains pretty good what a remake should be.
As time keeps passing and the best games for older consoles stays behind.
And as their franchises one way or another got a reputation, remakes are getting more common as well.
Because overall is easier to make a remake than creating a whole new game from zero.
And the remake has an advantage against a new title.
We know the story of the remake, the characters, what is waiting for us and we know is something we like.
There are remakes that only improve graphics and there are remakes that doesn't even do that.
And the best remake for me was Resident Evil Remake for the Gamecube.
A game that not just let us have the complete classic collection of RE games for the gamecube, with RE0.
But it also change many things from the original title, though it was the same mansion,
you get to the same lab to be betrayed by Wesker and then you must eliminate the Tyrant to escape.
But they also add the crimson heads who where zombies that came back more aggressive and moved faster.
If we didn't incinerate their bodies after killing them.
And also we got all the story of Lisa Trevor and her family.
But this thoughts have change on the last few days with the release of Resident Evil 2.
If you don't know if you should give or not a chance to this game I can tell you that if you're a fan of RE.
Or a survival horror fan, you definitively should... but this was meant to be a first impressions video.
And due to lack of editing time I ended Leon's story and started Claire's before finishing that video...
There are not going to be any plot spoilers but there are going to be comparisons between both titles.
So if you want everything yo be a surprise for you when you get to this parts, close the video and come later.
The beginning of the game is already too different because now its a small tutorial that we didn't have before.
Beyond that, the walkthrough is still the same from R.P.D. to the lab.
Except for some new rooms, some new goals, designs, game mechanics
R.P.D. now have 3 floors instead of 2, and the second floor is accessible since the beginning
And we must not activate any stairs as on the original game, the lab has exactly the same entrance.
But the new technologies makes it look way better than the original despite of being exactly the same design.
Spiders and some other enemies where substituted for other enemies with similar capacities.
For instance, spider substitutes can poison us, some important points on the game are still here.
But with some modification to adapt it better to our times
For example, the chess plug puzzle is back but now we have a clue of where to plug the plugs instead of just plugging them.
Enemies are excellent versions of their former self, even if you choose normal mode.
You'll think it twice before fighting a zombie because you'll probably need that ammo later.
And you'll try to stay away from lickers if you can.
Battles against William Birkin are more fun an memorable due tho the change of gameplay.
And the original story of the game is untouched but it's told of a different way.
That you don't need to play the original game to understand it but you'll expand your knowledge if you did.
And you'll revive those memories of so many time ago.
The sewers part we play with Ada deserves it's honorable mention.
For being completely different of Ada's part from the original game.
On this remake they put Ada since the beginning as a more strong and independent character.
And make it more congruent with the Ada from Resident Evil 4 and further games.
Once we clear the game, we can choose starting over or continuing with the second part of the story.
I haven't got so far in any of them but it's obvious that there are changes to obvious from the beginning
If you choose Claire or of you conitnue her story as the second part of Leon's.
Plus, and as well as on the original game, what you did with Leon will affect Claire's somehow.
For last but no least, developers made a great use of the graphic engine to make a gore game.
As the original titles were back on their days , with results not for sensible people.
Though some scenes are not as brutal on this game as they were on the original.
From the beginning they let us see crystal clear that this are merely narrative changes, and not censures.
Overall we have a very addictive and fun game that can be a tough challenge if we go for its hardcore mode.
A pretty strong successor for the original Resident Evil 2 and.
And an open door for many possibilities for further remakes and titles of the franchise.
Not for those who doesn't like heavy experiences but a total must be for the fans of the franchise and horror.
A great mix of the new and the old of the franchise, and that's why for me, RE2 Remake is the father of all remakes.

Donald Trump apparently learned a new phrase this week and that phrase is presidential
harassment.
Presidential harassment has taken the place of witch hunt and no collusion in Donald Trump's
tweets this past week and he feels like that's the best message to be sending right now.
Back away from the no collusion back away from the witch hunt.
I'm going to switch it up and say, this is presidential harassment.
And considering this man is, uh, being accused by more than 19 women, he sure as hell knows
what harassment looks like.
But here's the reality of what's happening right now.
Donald Trump is absolutely panicking.
The guy is losing his mind because right now every facet of his life is under investigation.
His campaign, his administration, his organization, his individual organizations that keep hiring
illegal immigrants with phony documents for some reason, uh, his charity, his inaugural
committee, all of his friends, his personal lawyer as campaign staffers, his children,
his son in law there is nowhere.
And I mean nowhere that Trump can't turn in his life without running smack into an investigation.
And it make things so much worse for them.
This week, Democrats are back in action in the House of Representatives.
They're requesting documents.
They're seeking his tax returns.
They voted this week, the handover transcripts from Don Jr, Jared Kushner, Lewandoswki, hope
Hicks, and all kinds of other folks.
They're handing those transcripts unredacted over to Robert Muller, something Republicans
had stopped them from doing for two years.
Well, they can't do that anymore.
They had sent her some of those transcripts.
They were heavily redacted so he couldn't see everything.
Those days are over.
Those transcripts are on their way.
If he doesn't already have them in his hands, and that's not going to bode well for the

harassment is really just the accountability.
This is what we should be doing.
This is what Republicans should have done for two years, so Democrats didn't have to
waste their time on it.
If something looks fishy, something that could be compromising for the president of the United
States, then look into it, but they refuse to do it.
They protected him, and when this is all over, Trump isn't going to be the only one looking
stupid.
Those other Republicans who tried to cover for him for two years, they're going to be

Just Another (N-Word) : My Life in the Black Panther Party - Duration: 5:59.
Our book today is "My Life in the Black Panther Party". Their title is just another
n-word and it's by Field Marshal Don Cox. His life in the in the Black Panther
Party. This is from Chapter five page 47. The chapters titled "You Use What You Got
to Get What You Need". Before we entered into a direct relationship with the
Panthers our group had wanted to prove our worthiness by our actions. Since
there was no one, since that was no longer in question contact was made at a
rendezvous fixed to meet at Huey's pad on Telegraph Avenue in Oakland. I don't
remember much about that first gathering other than meeting David Hilliard the
Panther party's chief of staff for the first time. The only thing that stands

that September because because of that we were even more surprised by his
reaction it was not until later that we discovered that the administration of
San Francisco Mayor Joseph Alito had sent in money after the rebellion had
bought off the so called bad and words the same technique was used from coast
to coast despite Rogers most everyone seemed to
like what we had to say and really related to the firearms demonstration
several people wanted to take courses and handling weapons and so I fixed a
rendezvous for the following Saturday at the parking lot of the abandoned
shopping center right on top of Hunter's Point the next day I arrived at the
point at 7:00 in the morning and in order to get set up before people began
to gather there wasn't going to be any target practice but I would be firing a
few shots in the air and by way of demonstration I knew that would pose no
problem as far as the police were concerned due to their racism whenever
they heard shots on the point they generally looked the other way once
during a dispute between two gangs shooting broke out and instead of police
coming in to break it up they sealed off the area and let them shoot it out gun
battle lasted 24 hours and the police didn't return until the next day
at around 8 o'clock I saw David Hilliard this car driving up which I found
surprising because we had only seen each other a couple of times before as a car
approached I recognized Emory Douglas and George Murray everyone had strange
looks on their faces that made clear that something was wrong
damn Huey had been shot and capped he had shown up in David's wounding and
wounded and bleeding heavily there was real concern for his life so David drove
him to the hospital left him on the steps then drove straight to San
Francisco to find me he said he had asked him to ask me to help out in the
aftermath specifically dealing with the passenger who had been in Huey's car at
the time of the shootout with John Jay officer John Frey of the Oakland Police
who'd been killed there was also the problem of the guns Huey had stockpiled
I'll never understand why David didn't just bring the guns with him but he
hadn't and I was obliged to go back into the area and get everything and get back
out safely that might sound easy but the shootout
had occurred less than three hours before and there was one policeman dead
one seriously wounded so it was hot over in Oakland to say the least there was no
time to go by the house and unload the guns I had on hand for the training so I
followed David back to Oakland with a trunk full of weapons David took me into
the back yard of a house that had a lot of weeds in a stack of old lumber in
which he has stashed the gun in his state of excitement he couldn't remember
exactly where the pistol was and while we were looking an elderly black woman
came out of the house next door and asked what we were doing David kept
searching and didn't look up she then said if you don't come out of there I'm
gonna call the police I began to panic and told David to say something to the
woman when he rose up she recognized him and calm down this was David's house and
she was his neighbor. On the one hand I was relieved but on the other if the
police were looking for the passenger who'd been with Huey
it was certainly they wouldn't miss David's house as both were known
Panthers. Finally he found the gun . . . And it continues from there.

How to clean moldy VHS videotape - Duration: 8:16.
The more videotapes I capture and
archive to digital formats, the more I
am running into something that I didn't
think I'd see after 30 years: Mold. If you
store a tape incorrectly, in a damp
basement for example, mold can grow, and
here you can see white mold spores and
this is definitely not something you
want to run through your capture VCR. It
will not only produce a subpar capture,
but you could also permanently damage
the heads of your VCR, so we're going to
have to clean this off before we capture
the tape. Now, there are professional
units designed for cleaning tapes: Here's
the RTI TapeChek, and these are
fantastic. However, as you can see from
the price list,
they are meant for professionals
and are definitely outside of the realm of use
for consumers. So, is there a method that
we, as consumers, can use for ourselves?
I believe I've come up with one and it
involves the use of a "donor" VCR: Some VCR
you don't care about. It doesn't even
need to be able to play tapes correctly,
but it does need to work. And, also the
use of microfiber lint-free cloths.
I chose black cloths in particular for
this because for, well... for reasons you'll
see later. Now the process involves using
the donor VCR to extend the tape out of
the cassette and use its transport
mechanism to move the tape so that you
can use the microfiber lint-free cloths
to clean the mold off and to start this
process obviously you're going to have
to disassemble the VCR now not
completely you just need to get the case
off of the top usually it's a single
metal piece or it might be one half of
plastic but it's as easy as removing the
screws and it's not too terribly
difficult sometimes you have to lift up
a little tab in order to get the top off
here you can see me doing just that with
this donor VCR and once you're done with
that you'll be ready to start

all VCRs use a rotary tape head and
that's this is the head you see here
when we put a cassette in, two spindles
will push the tape out and wrap it
across the head and here you can see two
points where the tape is going on the
left side and on the right side of one
spindle and in fact I'll illustrate them
here here is one side and down here is
the other and it is at these two points
that we will very lightly press the
cloths to claim the tape as it goes
through the mechanism here I've just
simply wrapped the cloths around each of
my fingers although of course if you do
this you'll probably need a third person
to hit the fast-forward and rewind
buttons for you but you very lightly
press against these two points on both
sides of the tape so that you can get
the mold in a single pass and with only
one pass you can see that we've actually
done pretty well this is what this looks
like now some people use their fingers
some people use wrap it around pens or
pencils you should use whatever works
for you but it'll probably take several
passes and here you can see the result
of some several passes and now you see
why I chose black cloths -- it's because it
makes it easier to see the mold now once
you've cleaned the mold off the surface
of the tape unfortunately the mold
started by growing on top of the tape
and as you fast forward and rewind the
mold was flung off of the tape and
thrown all around the inside of the
cassette and the only way to fix that is
to take it apart and clean the mold out
of there and you really do want to do
that because again you don't want mold
floating around your good capture
VCR so this is relatively easy to do
most of the tapes you will want to save
our tapes that you yourself recorded
they have family memories or something
like that on them and most consumer
videotapes are very easy to disassemble
simply by removing some screws now you
always start with the tape face down so
that you can get access to the screws
but don't pick it up like this and the
reason is if you can pick it straight up
like this the reels will fall out and
you'll have a mess on your hands so when
you're ready to take it apart grab it
with both hands keep the halves together
as you flip it over
now it's a simple matter of just taking
the top off the cassette but that's not
the end of it you also have to take the
reels out if you're going to get access
to both halves of the cassette to clean
all that mold out and you really do want
to do that because you don't want all
those spores flying around your VCR when
you're trying to capture it
taking the reels out is relatively
simple there's a ratcheting mechanism on
the bottom of the tape and you may have
to move those out of the way in order to
get the reels out please be careful with
the reels the tape is of course very
fragile and it also helps to have it
rewound or fast-forwarded all the way so
that if you do crinkle the tape you're
not damaging anything in the middle and
here you can see how bad the mold is now
a lot of this flew off when we were
doing our fast-forward rewind clean
operation but you still need to clean
them out because otherwise they're just
going to get back onto the tape here it
also helps to make sure that you've got
all of the tape completely wound out of
the reel that you want to be cleaning
now doesn't look like there's too much
hair on the inside of the reel and it's
a little harder to see even with the
black cloth but this is where all the
mold originally grew on top of the tape
and you really got to get it all out of
here otherwise like I said it's just
going to get back on the tape

with everything clean you can put it
back in the cassette please be careful
to observe the original way that the
tape wound around the spindles inside
the cassette doing it the wrong way will
damage the tape as soon as you put it
inside your VCR so it's pretty
straightforward just make sure that it's
on the outer edge of both topmost
spindles it's pretty easy to see here
you can see me doing to the other side
and again be very very careful if you do
crinkle the tape it's all the way
fast-forward it or rewound so it's not
the end of the world but do try to be
careful and then once it's back in
tension the tape as much as you can
before you put the top half back on the
cassette doing so is a simple matter of
just dropping it down sometimes if you
keep catching the tape it can help to
angle it on so here you can see me
angling the top back on so as not to
crinkle the tape and then once that's
done you simply put it back together the
same way hold both halves together here
you can see me pressing the little
button on the side to move the cover so
I can just make sure that it looks okay
that I wound it around the spindles
correctly and then you push it down on
the table and put the screws back
and the reason you have to push it down
is because there's a little bar on the
top shell that springs it apart so you
have to push it down to keep it together
after you do the first screw though and
I like to start with the one in the
middle just to make it even
you can then let go here you see me
letting go to put all the screws back in
So how did we do? I think pretty well; the
mold is gone from the top of the tape
and hopefully also the surface of the
tape if you look very closely you can
see little white spidery, spindely
etchings in the plastic that's not mold
it's not on the tape it's just etching
in the plastic the mold made when it
was growing on the surface of the
plastic overall this is a very clean
tape now and for being a consumer and
making a consumer archival effort I
think this worked out very well and this
is the method that I use personally

Halsey SNL Performance 2019 Without Me, Eastside: Paints as she sings! G-Eazy Reference - Duration: 1:26.
Halsey killed two birds with one stone Saturday Night Live last night, she did a painting
as she sang.
Not fair.
Most people don't even have one talent.
But here she is, singing, paining, hosting, and acting.
She performed two songs as the show's musical guest.
During her performance of "Eastside," she squatted on a giant canvas and painted an
upside-down portrait of a woman's face while singing, finishing the piece of art by the
end of the song.
Both her singing and the painting ended up beautiful, so multitasking is possible.

But there was some controversy.
During her performance of "Without Me" earlier in the show the words "Sorry Ashley, I cheated"
appeared behind her.
She recently revealed is about her breakup with rapper G-Eazy.

My friend Rosemary was always on the cutting edge of new music.
She frequently exposed me to stuff that I never would have heard of, like Kings of Convenience,
American Football, Of Montreal, Badly Drawn Boy, and lots of other bands.
One day in 2006 she sent me an mp3 of a song called "Engrish Bwudd" by a band called
Man Man and I was completely stunned within the first few seconds of listening.

It was from an album called "Six Demon Bag" and it was like a wonderful, actually-enjoyable
blend of Captain Beefheart, Tom Waits, Squirrel Nut Zippers, and circus music.
I loved everything about it.
The carnival-esque feel, the very-multi-layered vocals, the bouncy minor keys, the nonsensical
lyrics, the strange percussion, and especially the live roomy sound of the record.

The whole album was a treat to my ears and unlike anything I'd ever heard before.
Truly unique, fun, and musical, which is a rare combination.
Every single song on this album is great and seriously so fun to listen to.
The band members had the greatest pseudonyms, too.
The singer goes Honus Honus.
The drummer is Pow Pow.
The bassist is Sergei Sogay.
Others include Blanco, Les Mizzle, G. Clinton Killingsworth, and San Bañon Pisto.
Anyway, I caught them on tour and they were mind-blowing.
It was a huge band, probably like 7 people, with a mountain of gear and the whole band
wore all-white tennis clothing with white war paint on their faces.

I think I saw them three times, each time in a successively larger venue with successively
larger groups of hipster teenagers "dancing" rambunctiously right in front of the stage.
Man Man always put on an excellent show, but the crowds spoiled it for me and I stopped
going to see them.
I'm just a cranky old man, I guess.
After buying "Six Demon Bag," I bought their first album, "The Man in a Blue Turban
with a Face."
It was also excellent, real creative but with less sophisticated songwriting.
Then their third album, Rabbit Habbits came out, which is seriously entirely excellent.
Great, great songwriting and totally uninhibited.
Another excellent album that probably would have dropped my jaw just as quickly as Six
Demon Bag did.
The song "Harpoon Fever (Queequeg's Playhouse)" is a real brain-twister.
Probably my favorite on the album.

The following albums never really grabbed me, but I think it's time to give them another
chance.
They actually released some new music in late 2018 and performed a few shows.
