Top 10 Cherry Blossom Spots in Kyoto | japan-guide.com - Duration: 6:29.

Kyoto is Japan's celebrated ancient capital, and during cherry blossom season visitors

from all over the world flock to this special city, eager to take in the breathtaking sakura

displays around its abundant shrines, temples and gardens.

Kyoto boasts among the highest concentration of sakura spots in all of Japan, with peak

sakura season typically occurring around one week in early April, but can start as early

as late March or last into mid-April depending on temperatures in the preceding weeks.

With so many choices when it comes to cherry blossoms in Kyoto, we thought we'd make

planning your perfect, petal-filled trip a little easier by giving a quick rundown of

our Top 10 sakura locations in Kyoto.

Number 10: Ninnaji Ninnaji is famous for its grove of locally

cultivated, late blooming "Omuro" species of cherry trees, that bloom a few days after

Japan's ubiquitous Some Yoshino cherry tree variety.

Because of its hundreds of late-blooming sakura, Ninnaji is a great place to visit towards

the end of Kyoto's cherry blossom season.

Number 9: Kiyomizudera The large grounds of Kiyomizudera offer breathtaking

views of a sakura-filled valley and hillsides dotted by temple structures.

There are various spots to take in the cherry blossoms within the complex, and especially

nice is around a pond near the exit.

The temple also has nightly light-up events during cherry blossom season, in which the

sakura trees are beautifully illuminated.

Number 8: Daigoji At this ancient temple visitors can see spectacular

sakura displays alongside majestic relics, with some parts of the temple dating back

hundreds of years, like its five-storied pagoda which was first constructed in 951.

In the sixteenth century one of modern Japan's founding fathers, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, held

a famous cherry blossom viewing party at Daigoji, making it an important part of Japan's hanami

culture.

And still today it is a worthwhile place to admire the beautiful blossoms.

Number 7: Botanical Garden This flower-abundant garden contains a beautiful

forest full of weeping cherry trees and Somei Yoshino (Japan's most common variety of

cherry tree).

Providing spectacular views of cherry trees in spacious, tranquil surroundings, Kyoto

Botanical Garden is a great place to have a picnic and for families wanting to see cherry

blossoms.

Number 6: Okazaki Canal and Keage Incline The Okazaki Canal is a section of waterway

that connects Kyoto with nearby Lake Biwa, Japan's largest lake.

The Keage Incline historically was used to transport vessels from the Okazaki Canal to

a network of waterways at a higher elevation.

Both the Okazaki Canal and the Keage Incline are lined with hundreds of cherry trees that

produce breathtaking displays in spring time.

During the sakura season there are also boat tours along the Okazaki Canal, which make

for a fun and picturesque petal-viewing experience.

Number 5: Haradanien Located in the hills in the northwest of Kyoto,

Haradanien is a beautiful garden which boasts a large numbers of weeping cherry trees.

Typically reaching full bloom a few days after trees in the rest of the city, the beautiful

paths of Haradanien are a fantastic spot to see the sakura for visitors who are a little

late for Kyoto's main season.

Number 4: Arashiyama The quaint Arashiyama District in the northern

outskirts of Kyoto becomes alive with color and activity during sakura season.

The riverside Nakanoshima Park located directly next to the iconic Togetsukyo Bridge is an

especially popular spot to enjoy the cherry trees and from here visitors can also admire

surrounding petal dotted hillsides and the famous bridge.

Lastly, the area is also home to numerous beautifully designed temples that provide

for atmospheric spots to take in the blossoms.

Number 3: Heian Shrine The popular Heian Shrine was constructed at

the end of the 19th century, and behind its main buildings is a beautiful garden boasting

a large number of weeping cherry trees that bloom a few days later than most other trees

in the city.

The garden's picturesque paths and spectacular spring displays make it one of the best places

to catch the cherry blossoms at the tail end of Kyoto's sakura season.

Number 2: Maruyama Park Located next to Yasaka Shrine in the foothills

of the mountains to the east of Kyoto, Maruyama Park is the city's most popular park for

cherry blossom viewing.

A giant weeping cherry tree stands in the center of the park, which is made even more

beautiful by the illumination events each evening.

During sakura season various temporary restaurants pop up purveying a variety of dishes and drinks,

and the park takes on a vibrant, carnival-like atmosphere with hanami parties continuing

into the night.

Number 1: Philosopher's Path Our top pick of all the places to see the

cherry blossoms in Kyoto is the Philosopher's Path which is a unique canal-side path

in the city's Higashiyama District that stretches around 2 km, connecting Ginkakuji

(the Silver Pavilion) and the neighborhood of Nanzenji Temple.

This pleasant walkway is lined with hundreds of cherry trees that explode into color every

year around early April making it our number one sakura spot in the entire city.

It's kind of cold out well that's eight degrees out right now and it's getting colder

It was just 12 degrees when I got in the truck

My toes are cold, and I got to warm up a little bit

But right now we have enough shed space for all of our hay that we don't really need to consider it

Like that bale was just pulled out of the shed this morning. Dad and I were putting bales out and

That little bit of snow and ice on it is from this morning

Well, you can see when it's kept in out of the elements the bale for the most part well

it kept all of its feed value now if you go through and you don't have

Any hay storage anything to keep the rain and the Sun and everything else getting to it

Going through and wrapping the bales saying like the long tubes of of hay

it keeps the Sun away from keeps the rain off of them and

The feed value isn't going to deteriorate that

Is largely in part to why a lot of guys would wrap their hay just leave them sit outside

Laughs you guys can see this with this camera or not

But there's four bales down there that have been sitting outside for

Longer than you know preferred and that's what eventually happens to bales that look like this

They eventually start to rot

Deteriorate decompose and they eventually turn into something like that

That does not have long-term feed potential as long as you have the storage for them or if you keep it inside

That Bale will last for years

Storing them like that

Maybe a year

well, I'd say within less less than 12 months and

There's some frozen ice on them now again

The bales on top are a little bit of a nightmare to pull the net wrap off of

Going through and wrapping them

Like I said, I do know a couple guys in the area that do do it

Save you the headache of having to fight frozen net rap and having to pull the wrap the net wrap off the bails

Carry a knife on me

specifically for that reason

I'll cut off all the wrap in one go and then just try to unwrap the whole thing

Otherwise like with the hay if I can get away with it, I'll just unwrap it just go around around a couple times. I mean

As far as doing an inline wrapper

maybe someday as far as

Wrapping our corn fodder

If we start doing too much more corn fodder I could see doing it

Otherwise maybe looking to put it in just another shed altogether. I like

Seeing that money go towards storage or building another building facility because when you do wrap I mean

$11 a bale mean you're looking 150

200 bales first crop maybe

150 bales second. It starts to add up

And we are looking at seeding down a few more acres of. Hay this year

Plastic Wrapping Bales??? - Duration: 10:10.

It's kind of cold out well that's eight degrees out right now and it's getting colder

It was just 12 degrees when I got in the truck

My toes are cold, and I got to warm up a little bit

And that right rocket

He thinks he sits still I won't see him. So I want to respond to a couple questions we've had about

round bales and wrapping them

An inline wrapper well, the reason somebody would go through and wrap their hay wrap their bales

Is really to preserve feed value

Anything that we would wrap at least as far as I would think we would ever need a wrapper for would be for dry

Hay and the reason we would do it is if we ran out of shed space

And even then I mean I grew up we didn't wrap bales

But right now we have enough shed space for all of our hay that we don't really need to consider it

and

Like that bale was just pulled out of the shed this morning. Dad and I were putting bales out and

That little bit of snow and ice on it is from this morning

Well, you can see when it's kept in out of the elements the bale for the most part well

it kept all of its feed value now if you go through and you don't have

Any hay storage anything to keep the rain and the Sun and everything else getting to it

Going through and wrapping the bales saying like the long tubes of of hay

it keeps the Sun away from keeps the rain off of them and

The feed value isn't going to deteriorate that

Is largely in part to why a lot of guys would wrap their hay just leave them sit outside

Laughs you guys can see this with this camera or not

But there's four bales down there that have been sitting outside for

Longer than you know preferred and that's what eventually happens to bales that look like this

They eventually start to rot

Deteriorate decompose and they eventually turn into something like that

That does not have long-term feed potential as long as you have the storage for them or if you keep it inside

That Bale will last for years

Those down there

Storing them like that

Maybe a year

well, I'd say within less less than 12 months and

Leaving bales sit outside full time. You'll have bales that look like that. So

You have multiple year

Multiple years as far as being able to preserve the feed value compared to less than twelve months

So if you can't store them inside guys would go through and wrap them with a wrapper

the reason we don't other than the fact like I just stated we don't need to

It is expensive. It's

The last time I priced it it was about $11 a bale to wrap one Bale and that was in a with an inline wrapper

There are individual wrappers. I

didn't price that didn't need to I

Would think that is a little bit more expensive

at least because you are using more wrap for one individual Bale as opposed to wrapping a bunch of bales all

all in one big line

Our fodder I have seen guys wrap fodder bales

Generally the weather kind of hit us hard this year

We had all that snow

then we had the weather got up to the high forties and I think it was 51 that one day and

What happened is is that all the snow that was on top of the fodder bales on top?

It melted and then it was

Running down the sides as the snow was melting and allowed it to penetrate the corn fodder

And then it froze again. So the bales is on top

with all

There's some frozen ice on them now again

The bales on top are a little bit of a nightmare to pull the net wrap off of

Going through and wrapping them

Like I said, I do know a couple guys in the area that do do it

It would

Save you the headache of having to fight frozen net rap and having to pull the wrap the net wrap off the bails

I

Carry a knife on me

specifically for that reason

if I have to I do go through and I just

I'll cut off all the wrap in one go and then just try to unwrap the whole thing

Otherwise like with the hay if I can get away with it, I'll just unwrap it just go around around a couple times. I mean

Three times around it and the wraps off

Some guys in some situations

Probably the big dairies more than anything. I don't know how many. Oh, I know some beef guys would to

Where they do individually wrap

Don't think you I really don't see why you wouldn't do it or couldn't do it with inline wrap wrapper either where people make

Silage bales and what they do is they cut their hay and then they bale it when it's got a higher moisture content

um as opposed to

You know dry hay or it's not gonna mold or anything

You go through and you Bale it like it's like if you're gonna chop it

Then you go through and you wrap it

but

That allows it to ferment in the Bale and you have an individual

silage bale that you can feed out in a bale feeder or

Well TMR, I guess is as an option also, I mean I have had some experience

I mean, I have some experience but not quite a lot of experience with wrapped bales

It's pain in the butt

My own opinion on it. Would I ever do it? Yes

we just have to get to a point where we could really justify it our

Even with whether the wrap and or anything starts becoming more of a headache where it's worth doing it. The reason I say that

You're adding that much more

Waste material to get rid of waste material being the saran wrap or the plastic wrap that goes around it

That you have to get rid of

The net wrap and the twine adds up fast enough as it in itself

I did have a bunch of twine bales that I was pulling; all big square bales

I was pulling the twine off of and that stuff even adds up fairly quick in itself

But you take the net wrap and the twine and then you add on

That plastic wrap that is wrapped three to five times around that entire Bale you get a lot of waste material really quick

if you don't have a place specifically set aside for that which a

good cure for that is having a burn barrel or a

Trash bin. We used to have a dumpster from the local

garbage

facility

at the farm full time we used to fill that up full every week, but

Just having a place where you can go with some of that stuff. So your not constantly tripping over the wrap and everything. Is huge.

As far as doing an inline wrapper

maybe someday as far as

Wrapping our corn fodder

If we start doing too much more corn fodder I could see doing it

Otherwise maybe looking to put it in just another shed altogether. I like

Seeing that money go towards storage or building another building facility because when you do wrap I mean

$11 a bale mean you're looking 150

200 bales first crop maybe

150 bales second. It starts to add up

And we are looking at seeding down a few more acres of. Hay this year

The farmer over in Platteville that I helped every once in a while. Um, I did help him

I'm the one that ran the wrapper. I was loading it with the skid steer and it's simple enough. It's a simple process

Especially if you're planning on storing them for long term you don't have a place inside to put them I

Think it's worthwhile. It's just incorporating it into your your operation

so today i'm going to be reading your assumptions about me

this is a very popular video that has been going around on youtube

and i thought, i'm going to do it too

i'm a little late on doing this video

but that's because i literally had no time to film it

and i've also been kind of delaying it

because i was kind of afraid of what people were going to say about me

but i actually read the assumptions and i collected

many assumptions, and they weren't bad

so honestly thank you

i think you guys will be curious to know what you guys said as well

so without further ado let's just get into it

ok so the first one that caught my eye was

you hold your chopsticks super short

i'll show you how i hold chopsticks i guess, hold on

so this is how i hold chopsticks

i don't actually have chopsticks

i'm in my room i don't just have chopsticks with me

but this is how i hold chopsticks

i don't think i hold them pretty short

i hope them kind of where you're supposed to

and i guess i'm just going to go into a really

popular assumption which was

you had good grades in high school or you're really smart

i didn't do bad in high school, i got like a 4 point something average

and i don't think i've ever gotten a c or anything

i think i've always just gotten a's and b's

and then am i really smart, i don't-

this is kind of subjective i guess

i feel like i'm just smart in certain things

and then less smart in other things

i'm not like a genius, but i can talk about

certain issues and topics i guess

i think people just have this assumption because

i always talk about studying

and i literally have a series on studying

and i go to college and all that, but

college doesn't mean you're smart, it just means

a lot of things

your birthmark above your lip is fake

let me tell you that my birthmark actually fell off once

when i was really young

it fell off like it was a scab

it grew back but it grew back so much bigger

but it's definitely not fake, i've had this for 21 years now

it used to be worse

and i didn't want to go to school

but i went anyway because i didn't want to miss anything

and i ended up not even learning anything, so

i don't know why my brain is like that

i should probably take care of myself a little bit more

now is this like, do i give that vibe, or

you feel awkward with groups of people

i just feel awkward as a person

the only time i ever swear is if i'm driving

there was once a time where you hated your hair

there were periods of time where i was like

my hair looks so frizzy my hair doesn't look good

i kind of got over that but

hey good morning good morning guys welcome and welcome into the show we're

just getting our day started guess what we're doing getting us a good cup of

coffee I'll love it yeah we're gonna go ahead and have us a good breakfast here

this morning here on Clearwater I'll like eating in here and having a good

cup of coffee oh now that's good I'm hoping you guys are having a good cup of

coffee too whatever time of the day it is so let's wait for a breakfast and get

our day started guys welcome in well here we go guys that's how I look on

what we're having for breakfast this is my typical Manasota style omelet and a

multigrain toast good cup of coffee and we're good to go

what do you guys think I think after this I'm gonna be able to drive straight

home what do you guys think I have just entered back into Canada yeah I like it

I like it a lot actually hahaha yeah took long enough I know the

Sun has been up for a good while already but

yet our own really to turn on the camera and all the Sun that started getting

pretty windy 15 Columbus and the temperature is dropping dramatically it

was like zero this morning when I took off to all the sudden now it's minus 19

so yeah I got cold quick but oh well that's just how it goes right anyways we

should be home within an hour and 15 minutes I would say give or take unless

something goes wrong but it does feel like I might have to pull over somewhere

take me a little bit of a break I gotta go use the men's room here

pretty soon there's pretty much guarantee that after a couple hours of

driving and having to you know having a few cups of coffee it tends to want to

flow through right but here you guys can see a little bit on what the wind is

when it and when you have snow on the ground right it kind of blows it over to

Road I know I've been trolling you guys this on and off bird

now I just gotta show you guys what we deal with right especially up here

Norris but it looks like I should be home

around 1:00 o'clock I'll quickly do my paperwork and the noise come and pick me

Fortnite Black Knight McFarlane Toys Epic Games Action Figure Unboxing Review - Duration: 11:01.

this bad boy this is the Black Knight from the fortnight Game one of the

hardest skins to obtain them led to believe I'm player a fortnight I am one

of the unskilled Oh sadly I don't really have a skin that I associate with so I'm

just ruptor but this time Black Knight is a really cool action thing he's only

just come out this sort of past Christmas

so he's brand new more or less this finger still and as part of wave one of

the fortnight lined by McFarlane Toys Mike said men kind were kind enough to

donate this to the channel so that we're able to review it for them so thank you

very much to mankind for that I really to appreciate it

hey the seven-inch action figure and sorry 17 centimeters or a 7 inch action

figure however I look at it and you can discuss this in the comments using the

product and as you can see from the bike route others available including the

Colonel's team leader who I have also got a we'll be reviewing in the coming

days there are a bunch more of these coming out including drift

I really can't wave a drift to come out but let's break it out of the packaging

and take a closer look at the Black Knight we've got some sellotape on the

sides here so you can get this from the mankind website guys and it's currently

on there for $29.99

so I got here come the aubergine look how awesome this is

yeah get rid of these little ropey ties

always watch out with the rope ties guys if you are one of the younger viewers on

my channel make sure you get someone to help you with this though I've changed

my clothes this is all right Black Knight is free from his plastic prison I

think that's pretty nice feel first day and we do come with a boatload of

accessories as well the Bucks caliber which is his mining tool and his grenade

launcher Scott Laboe we just got very nice look to it and these backpackers

well it is a shield but here is guys here isn't that figure himself out of

the packaging looking awesome I really like this figure is real nice so yeah

the heads are really cool like I'm rotating left to right it doesn't really

look up or down his arms move up do rotate at that side hinge and rotate and

that's up as well as at the bicep there is a double hinged biceps exam can go

all the way in which is pretty good and the hand is on a ball-joint

there is a midriff M break this you can rotate at the legs it's right at their

waist it clicks a lot into position which is good so you can know sturdy the

legs do lift out he's a McFarlane Toys we does have the same sort of legs

lifting outwards as similar to a diamond select and the

and then nose can I think is there is a rotation that had the top thigh as well

as a double hinge neither and there is no break at the boot but

there is a rocket an ankle pivot and toe we've got articulation on this one this

is a very sturdy product it feels very nice to hold and doesn't feel like it's

gonna break apart anytime soon he does have a little hole on his back way you

can slot the shield which it the game would be his backpack and we can put the

crafting tool in his hand as well we could make him dual wield that we can

have that off to the side here and then have him aiming outwards with the

grenade launcher actually go into the thing I don't think it does but that's

as good we're gonna get where that mine's all gone we got it we got it so

here comes the mining tools well nice so we can have him with his grenade

launcher yeah SiC looks awesome really like this finger guys eighties

were really awesome what do I do I'm gonna go to the desktop to give you guys
