How We Finish Steers on the Ranch - Grass Fed, Grain Finished - Duration: 9:32.
Hi I'm Mike.
The ranch life has been pretty quiet here for a bit, cold temperatures that dip as low
as 20 below have drove us inside, but there are a few things that are time sensitive,
and some time frames don't wait for weather.
The overall business of ranching is all about beef, and we have steers that have a very
important appointment coming up that we have to get them ready for, as we start finishing
the steers, on our Wyoming life.
Welcome back to Our Wyoming Life, please subscribe and continue to join us as we explore the
ranch life and escape the ordinary, and hit that little bell so that you don't miss
a thing.
The ranch is a place where life and death happens every single day, but as you know
we weren't born and raised here.
So when we came to the ranch, there was not only the learning curve of figuring out how
to run a ranch, but there was also the process of learning the emotion of the ranch, and
the toll it can take on you.
Our first winter here, I fed the cows, that spring, we had a much smaller herd than we
have now and I helped them calve and luckily we didn't lose a single calf that year.
In fact, our first year here, I didn't have to deal with the death of any livestock, and
it was probably a good thing, because I am not sure how I would have handled it.
Oddly enough, I didn't have much connection to the animals that first year here, we weren't
really planning on staying so it was just a job to help out family, but when my father
in law passed away, the entire game changed.
If we would have lost a cow or a calf in that first year, chances are I would have just
brushed it off, mostly because I didn't have that connection, or know the importance
of it as we do now.
Since Gilbert died we have became more and more involved in the ranch life.
We have given up on other careers to concentrate on the ranch and how we can build a life out
of it, not only for us but our kids and Erins mom who lives here as well.
With Gilbert gone, I lost that safety net, all of a sudden I was ultimately responsible
for every life out here.
At that time, it was just cows and calves, maybe a few chickens, but they were all under
my care, day in and day out.
Chickens were raised just for egg production, we didn't butcher any, if a chicken died
it was due to old age, or a predator.
Cows are raised as breeding stock, yes their calves are sold at the end of the year but
their fate was out of my hands.
They went on to possibly become part of someone elses herd, or to feedlots where they were
raised for butcher.
At that time, I didn't have a direct hand in the destiny of any animal that was headed
to your dinner plate.
But now that has changed.
Erin at some point decided she wanted to sell local beef at our farmers market.
Beef that was raised right here on the ranch.
That opened up a whole new avenue for business for her and the ranch and we both agreed that
in the long run it would not only help the ranch but it would help our community and
our customers.
Allowing them to purchase beef that they knew exactly went into it and where and how it
was raised.
This began a few years of trial and error.
First we talked to a our customers about what they would prefer, grass finished beef, or
grain finished.
Put simply, grain finished means, cows that have eaten hay and grass most of their lives
are then given a grain supplement for the last 60-90 days of their lives.
That grain adds fat and marbling to the meat that some people find desirable.
Grass finished beef means that those cows only eat forage, hay or grass, until they
are ready to butcher.
Because of the plant-based diet, grass fed beef is leaner with less fat usually.
We also had to take into account our area, climate and capabilities, It generally takes
3 times longer to finish cattle on grass than on grain, adding to the cost of grass finished
beef.
If we had year round grazing that might work but it turned out to be a cost we couldn't
absorb and may account why only 3% of US Beef comes from grass finished cattle.
So we decided to grain finish our cattle, but we market it as grass fed and grain finished
because unfortunately when people hear grain finished or grain fed, they think that's
all that cow ever ate, and that couldn't be farther from the truth.
The steers that we choose to keep back for this process, are hand picked out of last
years calves.
For the past year they have been eating pasture grass and hay over the winter, that by definition
makes them grass fed cattle.
But now as they grow its time to begin the finishing process.
Through trial and error we have come up with a program for our steers and the finishing
of them.
The health of our animals is very important to us, as is the health and satisfaction of
our customers.
None of our steers are given antibiotics or growth hormones.
If one got sick, of course we would care for it and if it needed antibiotics, it would
get them, but then it would not be sold to the public.
We always begin by graining our steers slowly, in fact we don't even start them on grain.
We want them to get used to other food in their bellies and we will start the finishing
process with a feed that is usually fed to show calves called accelerator.
It includes not only processed grains for improved digestibility but trace minerals
and vitamins to combat stress.
Moving these steers from pasture to corral, will cause stress and this feed along with
blocks that are given to them to combat bloat, which is a gas pressure that can be caused
by a change in feeds it the best way to introduced them to this new environment.
This supplemental feed is given to them once a day, at the rate of only a few pounds for
each steer.
They still have access to hay, which will compose a major part of their diet.
After a few weeks of transition, these steers will then be switched to their grain ration.
We don not feed them straight corn, but a mix of corn, oats and barely.
This is what is going to add the marbling and fat to the meat, increasing the flavor
and tenderness.
They will be started on it very slowly, only a pound a piece, an slowly ramped up to a
max of grain ration of about 20lbs per day over a period of about 90 days.
Starting slowly is the key, too much grain to fast and the cow cant digest it at all
and it moves right through them.
Their system needs to adjust to it.
Currently these steers weigh about 800lbs to a 1000lbs, in 90 days they will tip the
scale with the heaviest around 1200lbs.
Then it will be time for them to go, and for the first time on the ranch, I have direct
involvement in moving an animal from the ranch to your plate.
But now I am invested, I have cared for these steers since the day they were born here on
the ranch, I've lost sleep, I've been cold, and sometimes even bled to give them
the best life I can.
At the same time I am proud to be able to provide not only for your family but my own.
In a way, your family is mine, we eat the same beef and I would never do anything that
would harm my family, so why would I do that to you.
I'm not here to snowball anyone, its true that grass finished beef has a higher level
of vitamin A, Vitamin E and omega-3 fatty acids.
But I will say, is beef the best place to get these nutrients, salmon or walnuts are
much higher in omega-3 and I guess for vitamin E or A, have a salad.
Really, all beef, no matter how its raised, is an excellent source of B vitamins, Protein,
Zinc and Iron and as long as you are eating beef, I'm happy.
Soon, we will have beef jerky back up for sale on our website, and we are playing with
the idea of how to ship beef directly to you, although shipping will still be expensive
and we urge you to find a local producer in your area, but if you want to bring home some
of the ranch, you hopefully soon will have that option.
With this process started, begins a new era of the ranch, one of production but also reality,
and thanks for being a part of what it really takes to get food to your table.
Please subscribe, we are only weeks away from calving and then spring and things will start
to heat up fast, and you don't want to miss a thing.
Thanks for coming out today, until I see you again, have a great week and thanks for joining
us, in our Wyoming life.

A European Thruhike - 10. Kapitel: Verrückt in Dänemark - Duration: 10:00.
Stories that only life can write.
I just crossed the border behind me,
sat down on the ground, put my pack down
and wanted to take some pictures
and then I realized:
great, you are sitting in dog poop.
So now there's dog poop on my freshly washed pants
and my freshly washed shirt
and on my backpack,
because I put my pack in dog poop as well of course.
That is, I just needed nearly half of my water
in order to clean up my trousers and my shirt and the pack.
In other words, I took all of my clothes off and stood next to the border like that, naked.
If someone had seen me like that,
it would have been the end.
I ... yeah,
I probably would have had to turn around straight away.
My first deed in Denmark...
I'm not really sure if that's a good or a bad sign.
Shit,
iterally.
Haervejen. Can you see that on here?
So, I am here
and now I'm hiking through Denmark until Viborg
and then here to the coast and then…
okay, there you can see a lot, obviously
anyway, I'm going to hike along the coast up here
and then I'm going to enter Norway from Hirtshals.
By the way, something really cool:
in Denmark the everyman's right – allowing you to camp everywhere - isn't in force yet,
but there are some kind of natural camp sites everywhere,
I think they're called primitive campsites.
Here is a hut,
running water usually,
(well yeah) a hut, a place where you can pitch your tent.
Somewhere back there
is a little path leading to an outhouse.
A fire pit over here…
A new tarp!
After destroying my old one within a week
because I'm stupid,
Kajo (Gramxpert) mercifully made me a new one.
I am ...
I kid you not, I'm going more and more insane.
I need people around me.
I'm really going more and more insane on this tour.
I'm going to show you a trick right now,
I'm going to show you a really sick trick.
sick trick, first try:
sick trick, second try:
sick trick, third try:
Okay, I'm showing you a different trick.
different trick:
ok...
I won't show you any trick.
I'm going to stop filming for a moment,
I simply need to talk and I feel really weird talking to myself.
That's why I'm talking to the camera,
but I don't know if that's any better.
I've been on tour now for nearly 120 days.
Of those 120 days, I've been accompanied by someone
for maybe 10 days.
110 days alone is
a whole lot.
It's
a lot more intense than I've ever imagined,
even though I've been walking through Germany most of the time.
But somehow, being alone so often really is the most difficult thing on this tour,
I think.
Chapter 10 Mad in Denmark
Tick, ticks, ticks, hey tick, ticks, ticks.
Fun fact:
apart from looking like a tramp
or like a pirate
hm, maybe a bit of both.
Anyway
I'm going to cross the Denmark's oldest bridge in a second,
Wait for it... There isn't even any water, come on…
Bujakascha.
groovy, isn't it?
I'm going to cross it now and you can watch me, that's nice.
How do you maintain motivation,
that's the question.
Somehow, ideally,
because – insight of the day:
Denmark is flat.
Crazy, right?
It really is flat.
No mountains…
No mountains…
I don't know, Denmark,
I didn't really take to Denmark yet.
You can see where you need to go,
but very often it's road walking.
Especially with these barefoot shoes, which are nearly dead anyway,
it's not that much fun right now.
pretty nice!
We're getting closer, we're getting closer,
and BAM
The halfway point: 3250 km (2020 miles),
awesome, isn't it?
In front of me, a gorgeous lake
In front of me my trail
and behind me my trail
crazy
No pictures, no dancing around,
simply happy.
I mean, I'm at the halfway point.
3250 km (2020 miles).
The same thing one more time and I'll be at the North Cape
That sounds promising, right?
And it only cost me 120 days
no, not quite.
Why "cost" though,
I needed nearly 120 days,
close to 120 days

Weekly poll results: the Huawei Mate 20 X feels the love - Duration: 1:18.
The Huawei Mate 20 X is emerging as a fan-favorite gaming phone, if the comments in last week's poll are anything to go by
The phone got a strongly positive result, 75/25 in favor. Many commented on its size – it sure is huge with a 7
2" screen – and the 1080p+ resolution is great for gaming. But perhaps not so great for use as a graphics tab, the M-Pen stylus didn't get many supporters, anyway
Many complained about the NM cards, but that's not an issue limited to just the Mate 20 X
We're willing to bet that the upcoming P30 flagship will use NM too (perhaps that can bring some popularity to the brand new standard)
While Huawei has a number of MediaPad tablets, the Mate 20 X could offer the best of both worlds – almost as portable as a phone, almost as big as a tablet
And with flagship chipset and camera, which the MediaPads don't get.

Cabo Frio: Best beach in Brazil | travel vlog 2019 - Duration: 14:30.
Ready to cross?
[Gordon] Yes
Let's go to the other side now
This is my equipment
It's so shallow
You just keep walking
Can you see the amount of balls up in the air here?
It even looks like one of the those soccer schools
That is amazing!
[Renata] Isn't it funny, all these people? [Gordon] Yes
Girls here don't watch, they play!
Cabo Frio has some of the most beautiful beaches
In Brazil
The biggest and most well known is this one right here
This is Forte Beach or Praia do Forte
And it has this name because there is a fort here
Over there
Fort St. Matthew
Cabo Frio is 100 miles from Rio de Janeiro
In my last trip here I created a video showing this beach
This is Cabo Frio, that's why I come here
And I got so many questions
People wanting to know more details
People wanting more tips
So that's why I am back
This time I'm showing you three more places
Very beautiful, also worth a visit:
Japanese Island - 'Ilha do Japonês'
Super beautiful, super trendy now
Also a historical neighborhood called 'Passagem'
And of course, the fort
We start right here
Cabo Frio is the seventh oldest city in Brazil
It was founded in 1615
So here, in addition to beaches, there's a lot of history
One of the easiest historical places you can visit is this one right here
St. Matthew Fort
It's located at the very end of the most famous beach in town
There's a natural pool right here
Right here... When the tide is low
it really becomes a natural pool
It gets really isolated
Be careful walking here
because if you're not used to and if you're wearing flip flops
it can get slippery
When the rocks are not very hot, I even go bare feet
The fort was built in 1616
With the purpose of protecting Cabo Frio
And why did Cabo Frio need protection at that time?
All this area was very rich in natural resources
Especially a valuable wood called pau-brasil
The Brazil Wood
And the Portuguese, our colonizers,
wanted to maintain control
What can't we do for a vlog?
If you're staying along the Forte Beach
the best way to come up here is simply walking
Even from the furthest distance
where the dunes are, when this beach ends
and another one starts
Anyways, if you walk form there all the way to here
It's like 30 minutes
Then you kill two birds at once
You do some exercise and you come up here and have this amazing view, look at this
You can come here inside to check it out
And you escape the heat a little
A typical window of the fort
Look at how deep it is
There was a guide there inside
And I overheard him explaining the tourists
that Cabo Frio was once the fifth largest city in Brazil
This beach here is so perfect for kids, look at this
There are no waves
At all
And there are a lot of waves over there
in the rest of the beach
Actually it's full of red flags there indicating that the ocean is really strong
But here, perfect
Did you like the view?
There's another view point, right here
You're very interested in fishing
[Gordon] They catch so many
[Renata] Really?! [Gordon] Yeah!
From here you can already see another place here in Cabo Frio
that is now as famous as the Forte Beach
This island right here
This is the Japanese Island - 'Ilha do Japonês'
There are two ways you can get to that island
If you're staying near this beach here,
the Forte Beach, or near downtown Cabo Frio
It's easier if you come this way
But is you're staying in Peró, Praia das Conchas
Or Gamboa, Ogiva, other neighborhoods in Cabo Frio
It's easier if you come the other way
Found a good shade!
This is the historical neighborhood of 'Passagem'
I'll show you on the way back
Because right now we are going to the Japanese Island
'Ilha do Japonês'
Here in this neighborhood, Passagem
There's this terminal here called Transatlantic Terminal
And this is where passengers from cruise ships arrive
The cruise ship stays over there in the ocean
And a smaller boat brings people to here
Don't confuse this location with the next one
Because if you want to go to the island
This is not where you come
You need to get a taxi boat just ahead
[Renata] Hello, good morning! [Vendor] Good morning
Please, how much is it to go to the Japanese Island?
[Sailor] It's 15 reais per person for a return ticket until 5 PM
[Renata] Do I pay here now? [Vendor] Yeah
[Sailor] This card here already is...
[Renata] One is good for us
[Sailor] No, it's 2 because, because...
[Renata] Ah, this is actually the ticket, right? [Vendor] Yeah
[Gordon] We need a card?
[Renata] Yeah, we need the card. That's our ticket back
[Crew member] I'm pushing it alone, I thought you were helping!
[Sailor] That's because the tide is getting lower [Renata] Yeah
[Passenger 1] Holy, what is that?
[Passenger 2] Huge turtle!
He's going to put stairs
He's gone
[Renata] Thank you [Sailor] You're welcome
[Renata] Thank you! [Sailor] Have a blessed day
[Renata] Thanks!
[Sailor] To return, it's in this same place. Just show this card and if there's no boat here, give us a call
[Renata] Ok, thank you!
[Sailor] Have a good day! [Renata] Have a good day!
When you come from the other side of the city
This neighborhood here called 'Peró'
This is where you arrive, right there
There's a parking lot right there, it costs ten reais
to leave the car there
And then when the tide is low
you can come walking like these people are doing
They have water by there knees
I've seen people crossing with the water by their hips
But if you have young kids or you don't feel comfortable doing that
You can take one of these boats here
Five reais per person
From here you can walk this entire island
360 degrees
When you stop like this, fish come all over you
This would be a good place to bring some chairs
and put right here
Relax
Because it's so shallow, you just keep walking
You're having THE life... Just in the shade...
[Gordon] Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah?
It is really full of crabs, all over here, all over!
[Gordon] There's two kinds of crabs [Renata] So many crabs!
One, two, three, four, five, six
[Gordon] There's two types of crabs
Yeah
When I used to come here as a kid with my parents
This island was not a tourist spot
No one would ever come to this island
I don't mean just us, but nobody coming to Cabo Frio
You could go for a boat tour, the boats pass right there
And I remember the guides mentioning
"Oh, over there, that's the Japanese Island"
We'd look and say "nice...". You know?
But that was it
The boom with tourism only started with Instagram
When people starting coming for the first time
And seeing how beautiful it is
And this is amazing
Because it preserved the island so well
You come here and you can see fish
You can see tiny crabs
The birds, all of them in their natural habitat
May it continue like this
Let's go to the other side now
Ready to cross?
[Gordon] Yes
This is my equipment
Look at Gordon with the rest of the equipment there
Extremely easy to cross here
There are no streams
It's just the quiet water
Very, very easy
No issues, you just see a lot of fish coming by
And some big fish
See that table?
Did the camera survive?
[Gordon] Yes
Are you sure the camera survived?
[Gordon] No
Can you speak more than one word today?
[Gordon] No
Or are you just one syllabus today?
[Gordon] One
My memory cards here
Safe and sound
Cheers!
Meat
It says right there, meat and cheese
Good?
Pastel - deep fried dough
With meat
or cheese inside
Or you can have other fillings as well
There's service over there too
There are vendors selling drinks and other stuff
You don't need to come here just to eat
We came more for the adventure
And also to sit down and have a different view
Whoa, it's so hot!
Tide is super low right now
That is why it's so easy to cross
Just being cautious here with the equipment
Thank you! He's got the card, ok?
[Renata] Bye, thank you! [Staff] My pleasure, thanks to you
[Renata] Beautiful! [Gordon] Yes
Look at these doors
So, now I can show you a little bit more
of this neighborhood, Passagem
This is a historical neighborhood
Original historical constructions from the 17th, 18th centuries
And now it's totally revitalized
This was the first city center in Cabo Frio
As soon as the city was founded in 1615
This is St. Benedict's church
It was built by slaves in the 18th century
And African-Brazilians used to get together right here
in this square, also in front of the church
to play the capoeira and also to pray for their saints
This square here, right in the middle of the neighborhood...
And around the square, full of bars and restaurants
Right now they are setting things up here
Preparing for the evening
We're a little early
It's 6 PM, but we're gonna get this party started
[Gordon] Thank you [Renata] Thank you
Cheers, to Cabo Frio
Now a proper cheers
With a juice, not with the water
Cheers!
This is not a place you come here directly after the beach like we're doing
My idea was to go back, shower, and then
come here in the evening
But as we're here now shooting and it is so nice,
so inviting,
We're opening this exception
So what else would you like to see here in Cabo Frio?
Or Brazilian beaches in general?
I'll keep coming back here
Let me know in the comments
Thank you for watching
And don't forget, I also have that other video about the beach
Forte Beach
Theres a link up here
And also a link in the description
[Kids] SBT (Brazilian TV)
No, this is just YouTube
[Kid 1] I'll subscribe to your channel
[Kid 2] I'll give you lots of 'likes'
How cool! Thank you!
Do you want to appear in the video?
[Kids] Yes!
So then give me a beautiful goodbye
Goodbye!
Enjoy!
[Kid] I'll subscribe to your channel!
Whoa! Thank you!

I'm Collin Denton. Today is the Clash and Daytona 500 qualifying,
but first we take a look at the results of last night's ARCA race.
Harrison Burton, in his first start at Daytona, takes home the victory in the season-opening race
His Truck teammate Todd Gilliland finishes runner-up. Polesitter Christian Eckes comes home in 4th place.
Defending race winner Michael Self ended up crashing on lap 3. He finished 31st out of 35 cars.
Now yesterday, we mentioned the teams that were not entered in the Daytona 500.
Now let's take a look at those that are as we approach qualifying for today.
The front row will be determined, but everyone else is fighting for their Duel starting spot,
so no one will be DNQ'd until Thursday.
Qualifying for today starts at noon Eastern Time on FOX.
And this is the Clash starting grid. Paul Menard starts on the pole in the random draw.
Kyle Busch will also be on the front row. Chase Elliott and Denny Hamlin crashed in practice.
They are going to backups, which means they will be at the rear of this field.
Twenty drivers in total trying to fight for the race victory. That is today on FS1 at 3 p.m. Eastern Time.
That's it for today. We will see you all tomorrow.

How I Quit Drinking Alcohol FOREVER (Animated Story) - Duration: 9:10.
- [Narrator] Pretty much everybody drinks.
On the weekends we meet up with our friends,
we drink, we go to a bar, we'll drink more.
Then after that we'll go to a club
or maybe we'll eat some unhealthy food
and then we go home.
And most people repeat this process
every single weekend and this used to be my routine,
but now I don't actually drink
and it's not because I have this intense, insane willpower
to be healthy and spiritual or whatever,
I have actually lost the desire to drink
and I'm gonna share with you how I did this
and how you can do it too,
but in order to do this,
we need to start with the story
about why I started to drink in the first place.
So let's get into it.
The first time I really drank
was in my first year of college.
I remember I was with my friends
in this house and I was drinking beer
and by my fourth beer,
I remember feeling this warm feeling
just completely come over me
and I also became really confident and charismatic
and talkative and later that night,
we went to this party and I noticed that
I had the ability to talk to everybody there
which was not something that I could normally do sober.
When I was sober, I kind of had this roadblock within me
which stopped me from fully expressing myself
to other people,
but by the time I had that fifth drink,
all these roadblocks were gone
and it was one of the first times
where I really felt comfortable talking
to new people and even talking to some attractive girls
and it was a great night.
The next weekend I went to another party,
but this time I was sober and man,
those roadblocks came back stronger than ever before.
I remember sitting in this chair,
and I was kind of observing the whole party.
I would watch other people drink,
and I felt like I wasn't able
to become part of the party.
I felt like I didn't belong there,
and I even remember seeing this really cute blonde girl
that I would of loved to talk to,
but because I was sober,
I felt like I physically couldn't
go over there and talk to her.
It was like I wanted to, but I just couldn't do it.
All I could think about
was how much easier this whole thing would be
if I was drinking.
So from that point on,
when I went to parties, bars, or clubs usually I drank.
For the next few years, I would go out on the weekends.
I would meet girls, meet new friends,
and of course I would do some pretty stupid
and silly things, but this was expected.
I mean I was a young kid.
I was doing what young kids are supposed to do, right?
Well from the surface, yes, this looks fine
but for me personally there was a bigger issue
that was slowly starting to grow within me.
Over time I really started
to rely on alcohol to be social.
I felt like I couldn't go out
and talk to a girl or be confident
around new people without at least drinking a little bit.
People today kind of like to underplay
the significance of this.
It's considered completely normal
to go out and put yourself on a drug
and yes alcohol is a drug.
It's classified as a psychoactive substance.
And then you interactive with other people
who are also on this drug.
Its kind of gotten so crazy, at least in my opinion,
that it's considered weird to not be on this drug
when you go out and socialize with people.
If you go out to a bar or club
and you let people know that you're sober,
people will look at you differently.
They'll look at you and they'll think, wow,
that's so weird.
What are you trying to do?
What are you trying to pull off?
They'll genuinely think you're a weird person.
I still had friends who I would see sober,
and I was totally fine around them,
but it was just those party environments
where I felt like I needed it
and the day I realized that I had this problem
was when I actually met
this really attractive girl on a night out.
When we met, we had agreed
that we would play tennis together on the following weekend
and I honestly don't really remember much
about our conversation,
but I did remember that I really liked her
and that she was really cute.
Our first date actually went really well
despite the fact that I was sober,
but I think this was only because we played tennis
and I had been a tennis coach for the past four years.
So I was very much in my comfort zone.
It wasn't until the second date when things
started to get unbelievably awkward.
So for date number two,
we had agreed to go to her house to watch a movie
and I still remember sitting on her couch
and she was at one end and I was at the other,
and she had wrapped herself in this brown blanket
and she kept just watching the movie
and I felt like she just wanted nothing
to do with me.
Because I had so much anxiety
and I was so nervous, I just didn't know what to say to her.
So we basically spent three hours watching this movie
without even saying a word to each other.
It was really bad.
So after the date, I said goodbye
and I remember sitting at this bus stop
and it was actually raining believe it or not.
I just kept thinking to myself
how much of a loser I was
and how I could barely talk to this cool attractive girl
and I thought to myself
if I had been drinking during this date,
I bet it would have gone a lot better.
When this thought entered my brain,
it was at this moment when I realized
that I can't be reliant on alcohol in order to be social.
It was not only a mistake doing this,
but it had actually become a real problem.
All those years of drinking
had only made this problem worse and worse.
So from that day forward,
I started on the journey of becoming confident
and overcoming my anxiety.
So fast forward about two long years
of personal work and development
and I got myself to the point
where I didn't need alcohol in order to be social
or I didn't need alcohol in order
to interact with an attractive girl and during this time,
I did not allow myself to drink at all
because I knew that in order to really get a handle
on this, that I needed to stop drinking.
Once I felt like I had achieved some strong results
in this area, I told myself hey if you want,
you can drink this weekend, you've earned it.
Plus I had a friend who was visiting me.
It was this weekend when
something really interesting happened to me.
That weekend I had two drinks really quickly
and I immediately felt it
because it had been so long since I had drank,
but after that first initial buzz,
I really started to not like the way I was feeling
and I remember at the bar I had met this big group of people
and as I was talking to them,
I remember feeling like I was just being really stupid
and my brain was just moving very slowly
and I couldn't pick up on social cues
and I thought to myself,
I think this would be going a lot better if I was sober.
I wanted the effects of alcohol to just go away,
but that night because I was celebrating,
I kept drinking and that night ended up being
a little messy.
Some girl knocked me over, I hit my head on the ground
and here's a picture.
And the next day I woke up with this massive headache.
I felt really sick and I just felt awful
and I thought to myself, okay,
alcohol is causing me to feel this right now
and last night alcohol actually made my social skills worse.
So I just kind of thought to myself
why am I drinking?
It was kind of at this moment
when I really lost the desire to drink.
I believe every single person in the world
has a reason why they drink
and here are some common ones.
People drink to be social,
people drink due to peer pressure,
people drink to relax or to release stress,
people drink to distract themselves from something,
and people drink to forget something.
And the answer of I just like the way it makes me feel,
in my opinion at least, is a little vague
and I think you could probably go deeper.
So for me, my primary reason
for drinking was to be social.
So when I developed the skill to be social
when I was sober, I removed the reason
why I drank and that was it.
Now it literally took me years to overcome,
but I am grateful that my main reason
for drinking was just that one thing,
so I could focus on it.
For other people, it could be a myriad of reasons or things.
I'm not trying to preach to you
about how you shouldn't drink or how it's bad,
but if you're interested in drinking less,
then I think you have to identify your why,
then start working on that
and once you identify and remove your primary why,
your desire will start to go down
and if you have multiple why's,
you have to keep going down the list.

Players vs Analysts, Patches Imba, Twitch Bans - Duration: 10:54.
[On Major invites] Well, it absolutely makes sense to invite the previous Major finalists, VP and Secret.
I'm sure they are not pleased having to play the qualifiers for the next Major a couple of days after they return home.
It leaves no time for rest, which is bad.
I think that winners and runners-up should be invited to a next Major, that'd make sense.
The finalists of a Major should have some privileges, after all.
It's a very important topic, I think that players who have a strong influence on the community,
team captains like Solo, Kuroky, Puppey should come together and take a stance against this, because it's wrong.
The guys are playing at a Major giving it 100% and getting physically and morally exhausted,
but they don't even have time to recover when they get back.
On top of that, a new patch gets rolled out, and the qualifiers start three days later.
This is wrong, it lacks human perspective, making the players some kind of slaves.
I agree that some teams should receive direct invites.
Maybe the top 4 teams of a Major should be directly invited to a next one, not more than 4 though.
When they invited 8 teams it was bad, but inviting 4 teams is a good idea.
Also. they should give at least two weeks between the end of the Major and the next qualifiers,
or at least one week and a half, but 3 days isn't enough, it's totally wrong.
The organizers do what they want and Valve doesn't care either,
although, the players are the most important part of this.
[Censorship on Twitch] Some kind of censorship is necessary, but right now they're overdoing it.
I think the rules are too strict.
It doesn't make sense.
This censorship is ridiculous, people are getting banned for using the P word,
but it's not a big deal, it's just a word, I don't support this.
First and foremost, it's an entertainment platform, people go there to watch something and have fun.
Those bans for saying some word are wrong, the context is very important in this case.
Right now it looks like they're banning just for the sake of it,
someone used a swear word because people tend to get emotional playing a game.
Well, even in everyday life, a lot of people, myself included, may occasionally let a curse word slip.
The way it is now is wrong, there should be specific ban rules,
but it's wrong to ban people for saying some word once.
[Should casters and analysts be more objective?] Of course they should be. I mean, they are analysts,
whatever they say on live stream is perceived to be correct.
However, if they don't know their stuff and are wrong about something, people will get misguided.
If they want to be good at their job, they should ask players, or stop talking about things they don't understand.
Sometimes they should filter what they're saying; if they aren't sure about something,
they shouldn't say "This player made a wrong item choice, he's bad" and stuff like that.
ArsZeeqq brought this up, I've watched his interview and I partially agree with this.
Sometimes it looks like they're just trying to have a go at pro players.
It mainly has to do with casters not understanding the game as well as analysts and pro players.
Those opinions are mostly biased, but a lot of people, who don't understand Dota well, watch them,
and they start thinking the same way being influenced by the caster's opinion.
[Is it hard to adapt to a new patch?] I don't think so, a couple of weeks into the patch everyone's got it figured out.
Maybe the first week is hard, getting the hang of the patch, but then it's easy to adapt.
To be honest, I really liked the patch.
There have been a lot of changes and buffs among meta heroes, but globally Dota hasn't changed.
Dota is going to be the same as we saw at the Major, perhaps with some new heroes popping up,
especially position 4, 5 ones, maybe position 3 as well.
[Is Dota 2 balanced?] Generally, the balance is fine now, a lot of viable heroes.
There are some powerful heroes though, like Luna + Sven, it's a really strong combo.
As long as I can remember, there have always been more powerful heroes than others in Dota.
It has always been the case.
Overall, the game is pretty balanced right now, it's just a matter of getting good drafts.
There were some OP heroes, but they got nerfed in the last patch.
The Io change... I even posted on Twitter, it really triggered me.
Come on, what is the logic behind it?
Io was already a strong hero and constantly banned.
Yesterday I checked the Major stats, Io wasn't banned in 8 games and had an over 80% win rate.
Meaning he won 7 out of 8 games.
If he got through in the draft, it was almost a guaranteed win.
The hero was incredibly strong in ranked matchmaking as well,
even though not so many people could play him well, it doesn't change the fact that Io was pretty powerful.
But now he's kind of OP now.
I guess it has mainly to do with Overcharge as it's been significantly buffed:
it now gives twice as much attack speed on level 4 than it did before, so I believe the hero needs fixing.
I think Relocate being a cast delay spell again is overall not a big change.
However, the hero should be balanced because it's too strong and OP for CM now.
The Relocate cooldown has been reduced twice and overall, the hero's received a lot of buffs.
He's probably the number one pick in ranked now, being either picked or banned in almost every game.
Speaking of which, my calibration was 7W/3L, with 3 losses being against Io.
[On daily routine affecting a player's performance] Well, I suppose it does, and this is actually something I have trouble with.
I struggle with waking up early, but yeah, I think it does - sticking to a routine makes things easier for you.
Absolutely.
The way I see it, yes, it does.
It is vital to monitor what you eat, regularly devote some time to physical exercise.
The bootcamp place where we are now has a small gym, which is nice,
as it allows me to get down there every day and do some cardio for 20-30 minutes.
It improves your decision-making speed and the brain functions better after exercise.
Getting at least 7-8 hours of sleep a night is also essential.
I've noticed a lot of players having trouble with that:
someone sleeps for 10 hours and they still feel unrefreshed.
I guess it's some kind of chronic fatigue and exhaustion.
All these things are connected: if a person maintains an unhealthy diet, improper sleep habits and no physical activity,
then even 10-11 hours of sleep won't be enough for them.
[On having the "Best Payer or the Year" award in Dota] Why not, I'd give it to Fy for his TI performance last year, he really deserved it more than anyone else.
As in the case with Fantasy points at TI: wards placed, Tower killed and so on.
But anyway, how do they pick an MVP at ESL tournaments?
Whoever puts on an incredible performance gets the award?
I remember Rodjer won the MVP title at the first or second ESL,
his position 4 performance was exciting to watch and he deservedly got a Mercedes.
So I think if a player pulls off something spectacular, they should be recognized as an MVP,
and the same concept can probably be followed with the Best Player of the Year award.
Too bad there is no Dota version of hltv.org, a CS related website with its own rankings and MVP awards.
I'm a CS follower myself, and that Top 20 players of the year ranking is really good stuff.
How could this be done in Dota?
Well, it's harder to put the statistics together than it is in CS, but they could use other criteria.
First, implement the MVP system and use it at every tournament.
A player of any position can become one: support, carry, mid.
If every Minor, Major and even non-DPC tournament had an MVP,
and, for example, Liquid.Miracle won 4-5 MVP titles over a year and placed high at TI,
they could use these criteria to determine who gets the Best Player of the Year award.
[Which region is currently the strongest?] CIS, undoubtedly.
I guess it's either CIS or Europe, but probably Europe after all,
since they have Liquid, Secret, who else...
Alliance are a good team even though they placed 13-16th, NIP slipped up, but yeah, NIP, too.
Although CIS isn't far behind.
[Does having to do media activities affect the team's practice and results?] It takes 5 minutes a month to sit down and answer some questions, so it doesn't affect me at all.
Media and results are completely different things.
I believe you can have both, you just gotta be able to separate and not get too involved in media.
I don't see how this can be an issue.
For example, if we take a look at VP: only Solo was a media person when they just got together.
The guys produced good results and gained media exposure, which absolutely makes sense:
your team has good results - you're popular,
your team shows poor results - your media numbers aren't big.
How is this all connected and if it's an issue? Not really, the anger of the fans is probably the only thing.
The bigger your media brand, the more negative comments you get when your team isn't delivering, that's all.
Does it somehow prevent the team from achieving results? Not at all.

The Carbonaro Effect - The After Effect: Episode 416 (Web Chat) | truTV - Duration: 4:17.
Hey! It's Michael Carbonaro.
Thank you so much for watching this week's episode
of "The Carbonaro Effect."
Did you? This is "The After Effect."
It's the show that comes after "The Carbonaro Effect."
I'm going to answer your questions.
Thank you for writing these in.
I love to hear what you guys are thinking,
and I love to do my best to supply an answer, so here we go.
I'm going to kick it off with Theresa here, who asks,
"It seems like you were going to do more
with that hand-swirled bread trick."
Oh, my gosh! That is incredible!
Yep.
"But the woman walked away."
I don't even know how that can work.
"What did we miss?"
First of all, it was not
a hand-swirled bread trick, Theresa.
It was a power tool-swirled bread trick.
And she did walk away toward the end of it.
Um, no, I don't think I had another thing.
I was gonna maybe turn it back
to the two separate slices if she stuck around,
but, um, there -- You didn't miss anything.
Don't worry. Hey. You're not missing anything.
Everything's happening. You're here.
Uh, James -- "Are you glad
you named the show 'The Carbonaro Effect'?
Each week, you get to explain what the effect is."
-Whoa. -Whoa.
That's like the, uh, Carbonaro Effect.
Do you know what that is? The Carbonaro Effect?
No.
Oh, "The Carbonaro Effect" is the name of a hidden-camera...
-Magic... -TV show.
-Oh. -See?
And you guys are on it
right now.
No, we're not.
I did not name the show "The Carbonaro Effect," by the way.
That was one of the executives at truTV.
I think it was Angel Annussek
who came up with that name, actually.
It's fun because it really is --
It's not just the title of the show. It's a thing.
It's something that we explain each week.
What that feeling is or what -- You know, this is the solution
to what bizarre moment is happening,
is this Carbonaro Effect.
So, yeah, it ended up just being one of those happy things.
Thank you, Angel. You're an angel.
Um, Nicole -- "Did you try that
everything-bagel trick on anyone else?
I'm shocked that she believed a deli would actually
let mice eat off their bagels and then serve it."
Just give that a minute.
Shake it up.
Just to get rid of the rest
of the stuff...
so that it's just sesame.
Wait. Are you joking right now?
No. Yeah.
These guys are incredible.
They do great.
Yeah, they'll only feed them
on a diet of onions
and poppy seeds.
I think we did that trick, like, five times,
and all of us were expecting, like, people to scream
and run away and be freaked out and grossed out.
And people really just sort of,
like, questioned it and moved on with their day.
I don't know. They left with it.
Like, people left with the bagel
after it was dunked in a bucket of mice.
Like, they paid for it, and they walked out,
and they were going to go and eat it.
I don't -- I don't know. Maybe -- I don't know.
Maybe it's just me.
Maybe people enjoy rodent-prepped food,
and I didn't know it. Maybe it's a thing.
Ah, but I agree with you.
Jojo asks, "Why did you decide
to pull cheese slices out of a dress shirt?"
Okay, there it is.
One more courtesy handkerchief.
And then -- Okay.
Let me get these out.
Okay.
This has got to be the end of it here.
The cheese. Okay.
Cheese?
The cheese slices, I did not know were going to be there.
Magicians have, um -- We call it a "load."
It's a thing that's going to appear later that's hidden,
and then it appears, and the load chamber,
before I knew it for that trick,
even though I was the one manipulating it --
I did not know cheese had been added into it.
So what you see there in that trick,
about why I say there's cheese inside of that shirt,
I made up on the spot.
Because when it's shipping, it gets rodents in the crates.
And the rodents
will be much more apt
to eat the cheese than the fabric.
And I love when they do things like that to me,
so that keeps -- That keeps you on your toes.
Um, that's right.
And now I do keep cheese in all of my clothes.
Okay. Thank you, guys, so much for writing these in.
Again, you can ask me questions at #AskMichaelCarbonaro.
You can do it on Facebook. You can do it on Twitter.
And I'm always happy to answer these,
so thank you, guys, so much.

really fancy hotel and finish our date but we're not we're gonna go someplace a
lot less glamorous after you Oh
what is going on here
the question
this is so freakin cool we got to check out not the RV's they
all have their own themes it was so cute this country glam oh this is yours right
here Fifi just adorable
shall we sit up yeah today was just so much excitement and adrenaline and I was
smiling from ear to ear my cheeks are hurting here's to the perfect ending to
a perfect day Cheers tonight I am just hoping that it
will be a night where we can open up to each other what was your favorite part
about today just being with you and standing on top of that mountain yeah
what seemed like an ambushment yeah I feel the same way though I was so happy
to spend the day with you tell me about you hmm why are you single tell me about
that good question I've had one serious relationship since
been out of college and she was incredible after about a year you know
she starts to bring up marriage which is only natural I just didn't feel that in
my heart like she was the one I was supposed to marry and I knew she was
better off because I wasn't in a place in my life where I felt like I could get
married and now I am in a place where I feel like I want to spend the rest of my
life with one person you are gonna find an amazing girl
you really will
we're laying there her heads on my chest as I'm talking she would look up at me
and all I'm thinking is I want to kiss this girl and I'm definitely getting the
vibe that she wants to kiss me too so I think at some point tonight it's
definitely gonna happen so I know you're close to your family
but I want to know more about your family there's a lot that you don't know
about my family I grew up and just a very very
conservative strict home mm-hmm Arabic you know and we can't date and we
can't do this and we can't do that you know my family is just you know they do
put a lot of pressure I mean my life and being perfect I was born in Baghdad Iraq
and I was brought into this world as a Muslim so you know in my culture it's so
strict we barely even date in public so to kiss somebody on national television
I think my mom would literally have a heart attack
Oh heard don't you yeah I do yeah I do like him too so tonight I just really
need to explain myself to Sean and hope that he understands why I cannot kiss
him and so I am a little fearful that Sean is gonna take that in a bad way
he's gonna be like oh great what am i dealing with
I like it I like the gesture I can't
so you said your parents were pretty strict so my mom she's very strict in
her culture what'd you think about you coming out here and doing this
not so happy let's talk about no she actually is not very happy about it at
all because we're not even allowed to date basically not that we're not
allowed to date obviously we're allowed to date you know but like in our culture
we sort of keep it secret from everyone sort of just hush-hush but for me to put
it on display like to the world you know is a big deal to her and we'll see my
story so that kind of explains why I haven't been able to kiss you today to
truly truly truly I really really wanted to kiss him because it feels right you
know I want that I want to just feel his lips on mine but we'll have to wait till
I'm his only lady oh I can take you home but I just kicked I really do respect
that thing about it you're welcome every time I look at Selma I just want
to kiss her and her eyes are basically just asking me to kiss her
I don't know I don't know what to do um you see this over here yeah it's been
taunting is you know I came in today knowing that I liked you a lot
I'm leaving tonight knowing I'm crazy about you and I want to spend one more
time with you Souma you accept my rose Aksum
thank you thank you
I'm crazy about Selma and if I have to wait to kiss her I'm happy to do it she
honestly has everything that I'm looking for in a woman so we're still early but
I could I could see some of being the one everything is picture-perfect and I
can definitely see myself being married to John I can see myself having a
beautiful future with him my fairy tale is just beginning he is my prince
charming
look what have it just so happens at this nothing I'd rather do
you

#AD - Fashom Unboxing and Try On Haul | tss6295 - Duration: 8:29.
Hello YouTube! Today's video is brought to you in partnership with the app, Fashom.
Fashom is a budget friendly fashion styling app that delivers personally styled clothing to women around the US.
Their brand motto is to promote body positivity and self love.
Fashom is a bit different than other fashion styling apps because you pick what you want.
You and your stylist put together what you want in your Fashom box and then it gets shipped to you with free shipping.
The average price of their inventory is around $35 and you get 25% off your purchase if you keep three or more of the pieces.
There are no subscription fees for Fashom as well.
I was reached out to by the app to do an unboxing and try on haul so I've got my items here and I'm going to talk to you guys a little bit more about how to use the app as well.
If you're new here, hello, my name is Tori Sicklick. I make new videos every Sunday for Sicklick Sunday with other videos throughout the week.
If you like what you see, like this video down below and subscribe while you're down there as well. You can also follow me on Twitter and Instagram in the description as well at @tss6295.
Now let's get into the video.
With Fashom, you download the app and that is the best way to get started.
You fill out a profile with your name, your age, all of that kind of stuff and then you fill out a fashion profile as well.
In this fashion profile, you fill out things that you like to wear, that you don't, what kinds of things you see in your closet, things like that
that you find in your wardrobe and things that you want to veer away from
and then your stylist puts together some items for you.
You do have to wait a couple days for that fashion styling to come through but once you get them, you look through them and choose which items you want and then get them shipped to you in a box like this.
Once you get these items, you try them on, see if they work for you or not, review them in the app, return them or not, and then there you go.
So I'm going to dig into this box here of all the items I got with my stylist and see how they work.
So when you open the box, the first thing it says is Fashom and Hello Beautiful.
First thing they have in the box, kind of like the other boxes I've ordered from Fashom, they have a return bag so you can send back the items you don't want to keep.
And then this envelope that says Hello Beautiful and on the back it says Thank You and has all of their Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest information.
So here is my invoice that has information about all of the products in my box as well as a note from my stylist.
Hello Tori! Cue happy dance. Hooray your Fashom box has arrived. It was a pleasure styling you and finding items from our latest collection
for you to wear throughout the winter season and many more seasons to come.
I hope you like these rocking fashions in New York City and that we get to style you again. XOXO Molls.
And then I have this paper here that says #BetterAsIAm and Believe in yourself and you will be unstoppable.
And on the back, what's next.
So it tells you what to do with your box here. You try on the items in the comfort of your home, see what works and send back the rest,
use our prepaid mailer to send back the items you don't want, so that is that bag right here,
If you need an exchange, you can email them at info@fashom.com to get the right size,
You can help save animals because with each box, they donate $1 to Second Chance Rescue NYC Dogs
Last part of it, you can let them know what you think and leave feedback on the app
let them know what's going on with the items you ordered, what works, what doesn't work, that kind of thing as well
And like I said before, you get 25% of your purchase if you keep three of the items.
In addition, you have three days to decide which items you like and send back the ones you don't.
All right, let's get into this box.
So we've got all of the clothing here in this paper contraption with a sticker with the Fashom logo that I have already ripped
First item in my box is the Natural Life Soft Intermingle 3/4 V Neck Dolman Top in the color P Blue.
This shirt right here. gotta try that on there.
It's very soft, and it's a little bit see-through from what I can see from the light of my window, but we're going to try it on, see how we feel about it.
Next item is the Davi and Dani Boho Filligree Long Line Blazer in the size Small in the color Midnight/Grey
So that is this one here. This one feels a bit heavier. I don't have a lot of pullovers that feel this heavy so we'll have to see how I feel about it.
Next in the box are Faux Leather Panel Leggings in the color Black.
I wear leggings all the time so I thought this would be something good to put into my box.
Got leather on the side here and they feel a bit stretchy so we'll have to try them on and see how they fit.
Next is the Paper Moon Tri Color Dress in the size Small and in the color Olive.
So this is one of those shirt dresses with the colors white, gray, and green. We'll have to try it on and see how it works.
And the last item is the Paper Moon Isabella Floral Print Top in the size Small and the color Charcoal.
This one here, and it's got floral print on the sleeves as well.
It's a long sleeve shirt. It looks a bit see through but that's not too much of an issue because it's a dark color shirt.
All right, let's try these on.
All right, first item here is the light blue shirt.
I'm not wearing the best bra with this today, I'm wearing a crop top type bra.
Feels nice and light and the material is very light. The V Neck is a bit deep for me personally.
It feels very soft, but I feel like I would have to keep pulling it to adjust it, which would get annoying. But it is a very nice product.
I feel like I would enjoy wearing this one if I decide to keep it.
Next item is this pullover, I just have my crop top on underneath.
It's got a nice clip hook clasp on the top there so you can pull it open just like that.
It feels pretty soft. You have this here on the inside and then this here on the outside.
I really like the design of it. It's also heavy which is nice because you have to stay warm.
It's also got pockets too, which is really nice little addition to that there.
Next here is the dress. It's a little boxy on me.
I'm not a huge fan of those shirt type dresses because I feel like they just eat me up.
This one I feel like is kind of in that way as well.
I do like the color scheme of this. I think it would work well on me but this dress style does not work on me.
It is a very soft product as well.
This next shirt here, got the floral sleeves here.
It reminds me of clothing I would wear in high school and a bit of college where it would have a dark base of the shirt and then floral sleeves.
And the long gray top there. It's very very soft.
I do like the colors on this one. It does feel a bit big, so if I do decide to keep this one, I might do an exchange. It is a small so I don't know if an extra small would be too small.
But it does feel like a very comfy shirt I could wear over things, especially when I'm going to auditions and things like that.
These are the leggings. They are a bit tight on me.
Got the leather on the side, which makes it a bit tighter.
They're kind of falling down here and they're very very low waisted.
Maybe the size is a bit too small for me?
But these leggings are also very heavy. These are like fashion leggings and I wear leggings for going to dance classes and things like that.
Maybe a bit heavy for what I would be doing in them, but the size doesn't feel right because there's just a bit too much
drop in that area and I can't really pull it up over.
Maybe it's the leather on the side of the leggings too.
So that's all the clothing that I've got in that try on haul for you.
The clothing from this box kind of works for me, kind of doesn't. I have to look through the items and see if I'm going to keep any items.

Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter: The Real Life Instagram Filter | The Real Deal | InStyle - Duration: 5:04.
Hey everyone! Welcome to The Real Deal, a video series where InStyle editors
dive deep into the products and beauty trends that you are dying to try.
So today on The Real Deal, we are going to talk about primers. Or filters, or priming filters.
I mean they go by so many names today and you're seeing them all over your feeds I'm sure.
But basically we're looking at highlighters that give you some really cool effects for your skin.
One of the most popular ones, Charlotte Tilbury's Flawless Filter.
So this product actually comes in a few different shades. It's not
a clear product there is a bit of a tint to it. I, of course, like to mix them all
up because I mix everything together. But let's just swatch a few and see.
And you can see... they look different next to each other, but once you start blending in...
it kind of just becomes more about the shine factor. And that's what you want.
You want to melt this into your skin, so it looks like skin. Think of it
more like a texture than a color. It will give you a dewy, reflective finish to your skin tone.
So you can see, they're just different tonal shifts in these three that I tried.
But there are more than three shades on the market.
And I actually use it a bunch of different ways. So I figured I would show you two different ways
on my face at the same time.
This highlighter is going to give me
a really dewy, fresh, kind of borderline shimmery effect. So imagine
that filter on your Instagram where you kind of just sparkle and shine? That's this.
So I always put some right on the top of my cheek. Sometimes I'll do my brow bone.
Sometimes I'll get crazy and I'll do my nose, and my forehead,
or basically anywhere I want to look a little fresher. And then I just get in
there with my fingers. Blend out. And I always use my fingers
when I'm blending highlighter because my fingers are warm and it just sort of
melts it into my skin. So I can kind of fool myself into thinking my skin just looks like this all the time!
So you've probably seen people using highlighters and filters like this for contouring.
So what contouring is doing is just
creating some shadows and some lightness on your face. So what I'm doing right now
is just pressing highlighter where I want the light to hit.
So I think I can be done right now. And I can see a difference. Can you see a difference?
I think so. Right? This side looks a little brighter, my cheekbone looks a little higher,
I look a little more awake. OK so I think I can stop there.
Now the other way I like to use highlighters is by just mixing them into whatever
foundation I have on hand. And I just dab a little bit on my finger, and then I
spike it with a little bit of highlighter. And if I want it a little brighter
I'll give myself a little more. Again I'm using my fingers to get it
nice and warm so I can just press it and melt it into my skin. That looks good!
And then I just press. It looks like a lot, but the more you press in, you'll see the
more it's just gonna disappear. This is actually how I put on foundation most days.
Here we go with the dabbing again.
I even go under my eye to give my under eye a little brightness. Who doesn't need help there?
A little more.
OK! So you can see that this side, I think, looks a little more highlighted. A little dewier.
But this just looks like an overall nice foundation base.
Here's The Real Deal on Charlotte Tilbury's Flawless Filter product.
For $44 it's not gonna be the cheapest on the market, but you can use
it so many different ways.
It feels great on your skin. You can mix it with your foundation,
your tinted moisturizer. It's so versatile that if you can splurge on it,
to me, it's really worth it. And a little bit, as you can see, goes a long way.
You can keep re-upping during the day. So, the real deal is, it's a great product.
OK guys! So that was The Real Deal. Thanks so much for watching and
subscribing to InStyle's channel. And don't forget to hit us up if you have
products that you are dying to try or trends that you need to learn about, just
let us know here. Also if you have different ways that you use this

And we're out! (Laughter off-camera).

Parker returns to Chicago with Wizards - Duration: 5:04.
CONNECTTWEETLINKEDINCOMMENTEMAILMORECHICAGO (AP) — Jabari Parker is focused on helping the Washington Wizards
His rocky stint with his hometown Chicago Bulls is over.Parker returned to Chicago on Saturday night just three days after he was traded to Washington in a multiplayer deal
The Wizards also got Bobby Portis and a protected 2023 second-round pick in exchange for Otto Porter Jr
Parker scored 20 points to help the Wizards to a 134-125 victory against his former team, and Portis had 10 points and 12 rebounds
Porter scored 17 for the Bulls."I'm looking forward. That's all I can do right now," Parker said before the game
"That's how I've been doing. Looking forward and keep improving. That's where I'm at
"Parker made his Washington debut in a 119-106 victory over Cleveland on Friday night, finishing with seven points, 11 rebounds and nine assists in 23 1/2 minutes
He then traveled with the Wizards to Chicago for the opener of a four-game trip."He does a lot of good things for us," Wizards coach Scott Brooks said
"We're going to use him like we've being using him the last couple games. He can contribute to our team being like a point-forward, attacking and making plays
He's open, he shoots it, he drives, he sees the floor very well."It was a quick reunion for Parker, Portis and Porter with their old teams
Portis, who scored 30 points against the Cavs, was drafted by Chicago and spent his first three-plus seasons with the Bulls
"Never thought I would get traded, but it's basketball," Portis said. "I think I did a good job of just taking it the right way, moving on and I'm with an organization now, they really like me
"Porter had been with Washington for his entire NBA career. He played college ball at Georgetown before he was selected by the Wizards with the No
3 overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft.Porter played in his first game with Chicago on Friday night, scoring 18 points in a 125-106 victory at Brooklyn
But facing the Wizards was different. "It was a little emotional playing against my former team, but once the ball went up all of that went out the window," he said
Parker agreed to a $40 million, two-year contract with Chicago in July. The forward led Simeon Career Academy on Chicago's South Side to four state championships, but his homecoming just didn't work out
The 23-year-old Parker appeared to be a bad fit for former coach Fred Hoiberg's pace-and-space offense
After Hoiberg was fired and Jim Boylen took over, Parker was removed from Chicago's rotation altogether for a short stretch
Parker made just one appearance for the Bulls from Dec. 15 to Jan. 11.Asked about how his relationship with Boylen changed after he was promoted, Parker called It "a total 180
""At that point, we never had controversy," he said. "Always had his back with things we had in-house problems with, always had his back, always had everybody's back
Just to see that relationship go sour not from my end but from his end was just bad because you trust the guy
He says all the things and I understand it's his decision and whatever but it was just hard because the relationship we had going into when he was a head coach
"Parker, who was selected by Milwaukee with the second pick in the 2014 draft, averaged 14
3 points and 6.2 rebounds in 39 games with lowly Chicago. Despite the lackluster results, Parker said he enjoyed his time with the team
"I love my experience here because I met some great people," he said. "I love my teammates

Getting Your Heart Right With God - Duration: 3:07.
So you've got all that going on and you're still able to crack a smile?
Well, I decided a long time ago that God is bigger than any situation I'm in.
While it seems more complex than that, it's as simple as that.
You know, I've been thinking about getting myself right with God and all,
I've just got to get my life together first. That's the thing, a lot of people
say they got to get themselves together before they come to Jesus. Question: if we
had the power to get ourselves together wouldn't we really have needed Jesus to
go to the cross? I reckon not. So if I'm not cleaning myself up then
what I gotta do next? How do I get cleaned up? Receiving Christ can deal
with all that. The first step though is actually receiving Christ. Are you ready
to do that now? I guess there's no time like the present.
Alright, just say this prayer with me. Dear Lord, I admit that I'm a sinner.
Dear Lord, I admit that I'm a sinner. I've done many things that don't please you.
I've done many things that don't please you. I have lived my life for myself only.
I am sorry and I repent. I have lived my life for myself only.
I am sorry and I repent. I ask you to forgive me. I believe that you died on
the cross for me to save me. You did what I could not do for myself.
I ask you to forgive me. I believe that you died on the cross for me to save me.
You did what I could not do for myself. I come to you now and ask you to take
control of my life. I give it to you. I come to you now and ask you to take
control of my life. I give it to you. From this day forward, help me to live every
day for you and in a way that pleases you. I love you Lord, and I thank you that
I will spend all eternity with you. From this day forward, help me
to live every day for you and in a way that pleases you.
I love You Lord, and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you. Amen
