Sen. Cory Booker explains why local elections can matter the most - Duration: 2:29.

Look we're not asking you to storm beaches in Normandy, we're not ask you to

go on freedom rides, we're not actually asking you to die for voting rights

we're just asking you to go out and vote. Hi I'm Senator Cory Booker let's

Sip 'n Skimm. I was born in Washington DC, moved to New Jersey when I was just a

few months old, high school football All-American, president of my class, off

to Stanford University where I did an undergraduate master's degree. I was

fortunate to get a Rhodes Scholarship to study at Oxford University, I came back

to Yale Law School and my last year at Yale Law School or so, I moved to Newark,

New Jersey first upsetting becoming the youngest person ever elected as a city

councilperson in Newark, New Jersey and then eventually I became the mayor of

the city eventually though, after two terms or almost completing full two full

terms, I got elected to be a United States Senator and have been here since

Halloween was my swearing-in Day 2013. Common sense gun safety laws I mean 84%

of NRA members believe we should have common-sense background checks.

Right now if you're in America and you are in the terrorist no-fly list, we

suspect you of being a terrorist, you can go to a gun show and fill up a trunk

full of weapons by doing a private sale. That is crazy

gun owners, Republicans, disagree with that, but we can't pass those laws down

here in Washington because there are people heavily influenced by gun

manufacturers who have drain money down, who are preventing a lot of these

things from happening. Pay attention to your top elections, those

are dealing with the now, but choosing the future of our country really is

going out and voting for those local elections and a lot of times those local

leaders have a lot more to say about your everyday lives than the top-line

elections. It chills me when people go in and vote and literally there are

millions of people who will go in and vote for a president or the top of the ticket

and not carry down to all the other positions and that creates so many

consequences for our country and one is some local elections like: Who's your

state legislature? You may not realize that but Congress is

controlled by state legislators because they decide how congressional lines are

drawn. The power of the people is greater than the people in power.

That's how we got civil rights, it's how we got women's rights, that's how we got

the workers rights' we take for granted right now that are being eroded under

this administration because people stood up and said we were gonna do this and if

not they'll be consequences.

WHATUPRG - Didn't I (Tribe) (ft. Nobigdyl) [CC Lyrics] - Duration: 3:02.

[Intro: Darando & nobigdyl.] It's Indie Tribe

Didn't I treat you right, now? (Didn't I?)

So I hit my brother the other day, I hit black frost

I was like I hit a billboard Didn't I do the best I could?

(Didn't I?) He said "aye, you hit the Billboard charts?"

I said "no, I have a little billboard but I did hit the Billboard charts too"

Didn't I give ya everything? (Didn't I?)

Now what? nevermind O turn me up in the headphones a bit

[Verse 1: nobigdyl.] Didn't I, fill the tribe with some young legends

See for ordinary people like I'm John Legend Didn't God save my life at the intersection

Just so I could ride these beats in every single session

Didn't I, go top ten independent with my own pennies

Now my face all on billboards in my own city Told me rap in Nashville is not the thing

to do I guess the fans didn't get the memo when

you sent it through Didn't I, listen to the most passionate pacifist

So I could turn all of you actors into activists Who has been with me since Taylor Swift took

down my song Didn't I admit it when I did it wrong

Love will have you grab your phone and block your exes

Love will have you turn your foes into your deepest friendships

Didn't I make a profession outta confessin' And give it to you like a Smith & Wesson

Dyllie

[Chorus: Darando & WHATUPRG] Yo, I was on the phone with my mom the other

day Didn't I give ya everything?

Didn't I I don't think they get it, I been trying

Didn't I give ya everything? Didn't I

I don't think this rap thing for me I tried my best just to be a man?

Didn't I She said, she said "yo, ain;t this what yo

pray for?" I tried my best just to be a man?

Didn't I

[Verse 2: WHATUPRG] Look, didn't I, treat my county like it's

Atlanta Now it's kids yelling out Gwinnet in Santa

Anna I been way too caught up with comments I need

to back up And look what God got me, this is ungodly

Didn't I, hit top ten, no features Didn't my grandma finally get her Visa's

She ain't never meet my niece, she gon' finally meet her

That's why I don't respond of you not familiar Way too blessed to be stressing

Over anybody who ain't tryin' to get the message Didn't I tell 'em I far from perfection

I just wanna see all my dawgs in heaven, yah Didn't I tell 'em we on the wave

They see the Tribe moving, they looking and it's a [?]

I know Dyllie got no enemies but if you touch a friend of me

You blasting to infinity, Your up and away

I'm way to ahead of my, oh damn that was the

verse Didn't I give ya everything?

Naw, you know what, hold on, hold on, I got

more I told Manna he gon' make it outta Tulsa

I told Mog' we gon' need a bigger tour bus

Didn't I Put your hands in the sky if you with the Tribe

Put your hands in the sky if you with Tribe

I told Manna he gon' make it outta Tulsa

I told Mog' we gon' need a bigger tour bus

Put your hands in the sky if you with Tribe

Humans vs. Robots: What automation means for the future of jobs - Duration: 9:36.

It's been said that 65% of students entering elementary school today will need jobs that

haven't been invented yet.

What does that mean and how do we prepare for careers that don't yet exist?

You're watching FutureNow, videos about the future of tech and society.

Okay, so despite such reputable sources as the World Economic Forum using that 65% statistic,

there seems to be no legitimate original source.

However, it may not be far from the truth, especially when considering what exactly is

meant by a "job that hasn't been invented yet."

Some may argue Uber driver is a new job, but another could easily argue it's just a modern

day version of a taxi driver, simply add technology and consumer convenience and subtract wage,

benefits, and job security from the driver.

Meanwhile, a report from Institute for the Future backed up by Dell makes the even bolder

claim that 85% of the jobs today's learners will be doing in 2030 haven't been invented yet.

Regardless of whether we can trust these statistics or not, it's difficult to ignore the fact

that there is a major shift happening in employment and it's only going to ramp up from here.

Just as the dawn of the Internet lead to a renaissance of new businesses and disruptions

in old businesses, automation, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and many other

emerging technologies are forming a Fourth Industrial Revolution that will change our

world in unknowable ways.

The First Industrial Revolution happen from the mid-18th century to the 19th century and

led our mostly agrarian and rural communities to become urban and more, well, industrial.

The invention of the steam engine and innovations in the iron and textile industries, kicked

off a fundamental shift in how people worked and connected the world in new ways with steam-powered

ships, trains, the telegraph, and more.

Every one of these inventions had a ripple effect across society and created hundreds

of new jobs.

Of course, it also centralized the means of production and the benefits of this revolution

were not universal.

Wages at factories were rather poor and the conditions were horrendous.

Not to mention the loss of jobs for craftspeople to machinery.

The Second Industrial Revolution from the late 19th century to early 20th century spread

industrialization further and saw the rise of electrical power and mass production and

such pivotal inventions as the telephone, internal combustion engine, light bulbs, cars,

and airplanes.

Once again, mass production led to greater productivity and as a result dramatic increases

in unemployment.

As the economy grew as a whole, many businesses failed due to dropping prices of certain goods.

I don't know about you, but I can't help but draw connections between this history

and the revolution in innovation we're living through today, even though we're only in

its early stages.

The Third Industrial Revolution, which happened in our lifetime and arguably is still happening

is characterized by electronics, software, and the Internet.

The Internet has connected the world unlike any other communications system before it

and has given rise to a greater ability to work from home.

The so-called "gig economy" is ironically similar to work in the pre-Second Revolution

world, when people manufactured products at home for sale.

As I discussed in a previous video about changing consumer habits leading to people declaring

Millennials are killing whole industries, the Internet and technologies like smartphones

have changed consumer expectations so that convenience is king and brick and mortar stores

are suffering because of it with the dominance of online shopping and being able to order

just about any service without leaving your home.

As every other industrial revolution before it, new technological innovations have positive

and negative impacts on everything including the economy and the workforce.

For example, while companies like Airbnb and Expedia.com have grown to multi-billion dollar

businesses, the number of travel agents has been halved in the same period of time.

And needless to say the popularity of Uber and Lyft has not lead to a positive outcome

for cab drivers.

And as automation and the digitalization of everything from services to products like

books continues, industries rise and fall, and the job market undergoes major shifts.

These shifts since the Third Industrial Revolution and going into the Fourth tend to favor growth

on extreme sides of the job market: low-skilled workers and highly-skilled workers.

Those who fall somewhere in-between are feeling the brunt of the negative effects of this shift.

So what is the so-called Fourth Industrial Revolution?

The World Economic Forum loosely defines it as characterized by a fusion of technologies

that is blurring the lines between the physical, digital, and biological spheres.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution is marked by emerging technology breakthroughs in a

number of fields, including robotics, artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, quantum computing,

biotechnology, The Internet of Things (IoT), 3D printing and autonomous vehicles.

Of course one of the largest drivers of this job shift is automation.

The less "skill" involved in a job and the more routine the work is, the more likely

it is to be replaced by a robot or an algorithm.

A study of the labor force in 46 countries by McKinsey Global Institute concluded that

almost half of work activities globally have the potential to be automated.

That doesn't mean half of all jobs, because there are very few occupations, less than

5 percent, that can be wholly replaced by automation with current technology, but nearly

every job contains some tasks that could be automated, and that's where the nearly half

figure comes in.

Apparently this amounts to nearly $15 trillion in wages.

Because why would employers pay the same wage for half the work?

And they can also get as much work done with half the workforce.

But this means automation's takeover will be slower than some seem to think and it'll

start and indeed has started with humans and robots working side-by-side, complementing

each other's work.

Of course, for some workers the effects of automation are happening much more rapidly,

mainly those that deal with repetitive tasks like data entry and manufacturing.

This means middle-class jobs working in offices, finance, and even law will also be automated,

increasing the polarization between low-paying and high-paying jobs.

With every prior shift in the job market, high unemployment has been avoided or reduced

back to normal through a redistribution of workers displaced by technology, but it's

still unclear whether the same will be true this time around.

One thing is clear: if workers susceptible to automation want to secure their future,

they will need to learn new skills.

And we must reckon with the fact that the traditional education system is not keeping

up with the change in the jobs market.

Yes, math, science, and literacy will always continue to be important subjects to be proficient

in, but there are skills that our education system is not built to teach, but are critical

to surviving the future jobs market: complex problem solving, emotional intelligence, interpersonal

and social skills, creativity, leadership, and perhaps most importantly adaptability.

With these skills, you won't be competing against robots, you'll be able to take on

the tasks they're not fit to do.

When choosing a therapist, I think I'll still stick to a human over a robot, and despite

the rate of advancement in technology, these skills are unlikely to be perfected by machines

any time soon.

But how can we teach students and re-educate workers when our current education system

was created during the first industrial revolution and remains roughly the same, one teacher

instructing a room of about 30 students in a similar age group, the so-called "factory

model" of education.

This is how we've prepared students to join the workforce for nearly 200 years.

This is not a system that breeds creativity and stokes curiosity, it's one that rewards

homogeneity, rote memorization, and the ability to pass standardized tests.

If you were to put a robot through today's school system, it would be a star student.

Perhaps it's time schools focus more on the individual, allow students to take on

passion projects, and apply what they're learning creatively.

We don't need to teach students to memorize and regurgitate information, it's more important

to teach them how to learn.

There's no way of knowing what jobs will exist in 20 years, so we can't teach students

the knowledge they will need to do them, but we can teach them how to attain that knowledge

on their own.

Computer programming, for example, is a job in which just knowing a computer language

is not sufficient because the field is constantly evolving, so a good computer programmer is

staying updated on the latest innovations, always learning.

So a school can teach a student a programming language, but if they aren't teaching them

complex-problem solving and how to be a lifelong learner, then they aren't teaching them

how to code.

It's why non-traditional education routes like coding boot camps and online education

are becoming competitive with the traditional four-year college route.

And many corporations are taking it upon themselves to educate employees and future employees

with their own programs.

But innovations in education must begin with the K-12 system, the education before the

university level.

Innovating education doesn't just mean putting tablets into classrooms and teaching students

how to code, it means restructuring the system so that the students themselves have more

of a say in how they learn and success of individual students is not based solely on

how much of the same base knowledge they know compared to their peers.

I'm not going to dive too deeply into how to reform the education system, because I'm

not qualified to do so and it's beyond the scope of this video, but the fact remains

continuing school as usual is not going to lead to the success of our students in the

future workforce.

And this change is not up to teachers, who only have so much say in how they teach, at

least in the United States, it's largely up to state and local government and individual

schools deciding to lead a revolution in education.

As for workers currently in the workforce whose jobs are under threat or who may have

already lost their job to automation, consider looking into jobs that require empathy and

all the skills listed before, like caregivers and other jobs that are people-facing like

many in the health and education sector.

It's not too late to learn a new skill either – take full advantage of these online courses

and bootcamps that offer an alternative to the increasingly expensive and multi-year

process of obtaining a college degree that is likely to only decrease in value.

But this shift happening in employment should not be solely on the shoulders of individuals,

it will also require policy to be updated and created to smooth the transition.

Ironically, the jobs that are least likely to be lost to automation are currently among

the lowest paid and thus least appealing, such as the previously mentioned caregiving

and teaching jobs.

We should push for these sectors of work to have greater benefits and pay to make pursuing

them more worthwhile.

Some have even called for policies that lead to a greater redistribution of wealth as technology-led

changes in the economy continues to increase wealth inequality.

Personally, I haven't been particularly convinced by some of the band-aid solutions

that have been suggested, such as increasing taxes for companies that eliminate jobs through

introduction of artificial intelligence, and lower taxes for those who don't.

Good policy embraces innovation, while ensuring the common man is not left behind.

We are entering a new world with old world legislation and education.

We need these both to be more flexible and forward-thinking.

The future of technology is set to lead to a better overall economy both nationally and

globally as productivity continues to increase and global trade becomes less challenging.

We need to ensure the only people benefitting from these changes aren't just CEOs, investors,

and the already highest-paid workers.

How are you personally preparing for this future and what changes to education and policy

would you like to see?

Let me know in the comments, I'm almost certainly going to make more videos about this.

Hanzo: *Scoffs*

Welcome to San Diego Comic Con!

I, Hanzo Shimada, am on a mission to find my Overwatch brethren.

Let us depart.

Come, friend.

Haha my brother

He's covered

This is my destination

*Scoffs*

They have lots of things here

I will not be buying them

*scoffs*

...okay maybe I will

Hanzo: My muscles, they look so brilliant...

Hanzo: *Laughs*

Good.

Hanzo: I got your arm!

Hanzo: You cannot get me!

McCree: I turn my back for one minute! Get back here!

I am about to enter room 6BCF where they're about to have the Overwatch Panel.

I believe they are going to talk about some sort of hamster

Which sounds stupid.

Hanzo: So in the panel they discuss his backstory, the sound design

how they came about with the character... and...

It's stupid!

It's very stupid!

Stupid hamster and a stupid ball!

Okay he's cute, I admit it, he's cute!

Okay?

He's cute.

Why you wear a mask?

You are not bad looking.

I did not realize that Soldier 76 could be a woman.

Very strange.

(Off Screen) McCree: Hey Hanzo.

*Scoff*

Overwatch!

Hanzo: I do not do what you tell me to!

*Hamster Sounds!*

Ugh!

Quit hamming it up!

Uh that was bad, I am sorry brother.

*Laughing*

Snipah!

Oh sorry no, that's just a...

piece of grass.

No wait-- *sighs*

No there is!

No, it's still grass.

Hanzo: Another year, another successful Comic-Con.

My mission is complete.

I would say that as far as quality is concerned, their aim was true.

But it is now time for me to bow out of here.

So, I think you get the point.

I think that's it, bye.

It's like listening to my brother drone on and on about all the women he was with.

I get it, Genji!

All of them, I need healing.

Con Goer: Hey man, could I get a photo?

The bottle is almost empty and I'm about to go and repurchase this product. It is the L'Oreal Paris True Match Lumi

Glotion, and I picked this one up in the color 'Light Glow.'

I think that this is the most sold out product of the range just because the shade is so, so gorgeous.

So what this is, essentially, it is like an illuminating, kind of like a highlighter,

but it's a lotion that goes on your skin.

So, I actually apply this all over my face and that's what I've been doing on a daily

basis throughout the month of July.

It reminds me actually a lot of the Loving Tan Bronze Shimmer, but not as dark and more illuminating,

but it's the same kind of concept, but for your face.

So, it just gives you this really nice, kind of like underlying glow to your skin,

which if you're all about getting that kind of dewy, bronze goddess glowy look for summer,

then I definitely recommend this product, particularly in the 'light glow' shade. To show you guys what it looks like,

so, this is what it looks like when it comes out of the bottle. It's really glowy.

It looks quite like a rose gold metallic colour,

that's almost how it looks, like a creamy rose gold, and then I literally just blend it in and

then it creates this like really nice, gorgeous, kind of like rose gold,

kind of shimmer illumination on your face. Now after I apply the Glotion, I go in with the No.7.

Now this line is sold at Target and it's from the Boots company,

which is a drugstore brand in the UK. It's called Boots, I love it, and I so wish we had it in North America.

It's such a shame that we don't! So this is the Dual Action

Tinted Moisturizer. It is for all skin types and it also has SPF 15 in it.

Any product, lotion, moisturizer that has, or foundation even, that has an SPF in it,

particularly for summer, is awesome.

Especially because I am using the tinted moisturizer in place of my IT Cosmetics CC Cream. Now,

I absolutely love my IT Cosmetics CC Cream, I use it as a foundation.

However, I don't really want as much coverage for summer.

I really like the look and feel of a tinted moisturizer, and I wear it right on top of the Glotion.

So just to swatch it for you, I have it in the shade 'Medium.'

So, that's how it looks when it comes out of the bottle.

So, it basically looks like a foundation but it's a lot more creamy and definitely has a

moisturizer feel to it. It just blends right in over top of the Glotion, and then it gives you this really nice

kind of glowy, dewy, illuminated look. Now, I have been majorly struggling with my skin for the past few months.

I'm suffering from breakouts, and I don't really know what's bringing it on.

So, I had actually been reading about products that are supposed to prevent

breakouts, that really cleanse your skin and that's when I stumbled across this one and I went and picked it up from Target.

So, what this is, is essentially these are cleansing pads. It's a massive container.

I initially kind of wanted it more for travel; the containers a little bit too big, but I still bring it for travel.

It's these huge, very saturated cleansing pads.

What you do, is you literally just cleanse your face with them and they even have an exfoliating side.

Honestly, there is so much product on the cleansing pad, like I don't even need that much.

I probably only need like half the size of a pad, or two thirds of the size of the pad. They are seriously massive,

but they work very, very well and it's so nice to kind of have all of

your products in one, that really cleanses and gets all the dirt and everything off your face.

It really gives you a nice deep clean,

and I'm just really impressed with it. Another product that I just wanted to try out from Target; Target is really like a one-stop shop.

If you haven't been to Target, you need to go to Target. It's the brand Good Chemistry

and essentially what it is, is it's a body spray

with essential oils inside. I picked up the scent 'Blue Bell.' This honestly smells so amazing. It's refreshing,

it's a little bit fruity,

it's a little bit sweet, but not overpowering and I personally don't really like to wear a lot of perfume or a lot of fragrance.

I think I have a little bit of a sensitivity to it.

I definitely notice it when our passengers or even fellow co-workers come on board with cologne or perfume.

So this just gives you, kind of a really nice fresh feeling, and I spray it on usually before I go out.

It's not overpowering that it bothers you. So, this is a really nice product, it is a great scent for summer,

It's practical, I like the feeling of a body spray, and yeah, I'd really recommend this one.

I believe it was under $10.

Next I have a Wet Brush and if you haven't tried the Wet Brush then honestly, this product is a

game-changer. I have really fine

hair. My hair I find gets really tangled, particularly at the bottoms and around my neck,

and then it breaks off. I'm really putting in an effort to grow my hair at the moment.

What I like to do is, I take it into the shower with me

I put conditioner on, and I literally brush my hair in the shower and

then when I get out of the shower, after I towel dried my hair, I brush it again.

I've actually just

switched my hairbrush to this one altogether, just because the bristles are really soft, and I find that it's just a lot nicer and more

gentle on my hair. This one I picked up from TJ Maxx,

I have a smaller version like a travel size one.

I don't know where it is, but I have a travel size one that I picked up from Target.

That one goes everywhere with me. I use it on my layovers for work. It's great, I think I even

prefer it over the big one, just because I just find it like really soft and easy to work with. So,

definitely a favourite and definitely a product that I recommend checking out.

Mine is in this gorgeous marble print which is really fun, and they come in a ton of different patterns.

So I really recommend this one,

especially if you're looking for a nice gentle hairbrush for your hair.

The last beauty product that I have to share with you guys, is

this Sunless Face Tanner from the brand Coola. Now I was actually sent this product as a

sample to review and to try out, and to give my thoughts on the product, and it was sent to me by

Influenster. if you haven't heard of influenster, I definitely recommend that you check them out. I will link them below.

Essentially, they have sent me lots of different beauty products to try out.

So, I'm not required to talk about them at all on my channel,

I just want to talk about the product because I actually love it and I've been using it for several weeks now.

So essentially what this is,

it is a face tanner. Now, I normally use the brand Loving Tan,

but I'm way too scared to put that stuff on my face. The

Sunless Tan from Coola,

it comes out in a clear formula and you don't even need to use an applicator mint to apply it.

Basically what I do is,

I put a couple of pumps of it into my hand and then I just rub it all over my face

and work it in, and then I rinse off my hands with soap and water. I haven't had any staining of the

product onto my hands,

so no transfer at all, my hands have not turned a weird orange colour, and I just

really like the color that it gives my skin. The product does last for about three days.

The only thing is, I wish that it lasted a little bit longer because the product actually is quite expensive.

I did have a peek at the price online, and Coola products, they're really well known, they work really well,

they use a lot of organic ingredients and then they're also vegan and cruelty free which is a big selling point for people.

I also look for products that have good ingredients to put on your skin. So I really like that about Coola.

So overall, I really like this self tanner. It's not scary at all. It doesn't turn your face orange,

it just gives you this really kind of natural tan look and it doesn't over tan either.

I apply it before I go to bed and like I sleep in it for six to eight hours.

That's on a good night,

I normally sleep about 4 to 5 hours,

but I usually try and leave it on for about six to eight hours

before I remove it.

Now moving into a few more fashion based pieces that I've been obviously loving throughout the month of July.

So I actually talked about this robe in my

June version of 'What's new in my wardrobe' and I've been using it throughout the month of July, and this is honestly just such a

lifesaver in so many ways, and it's from Nordstrom. It's the brand Flora Nikrooz.

I think that's how you say it, not 100% sure.

It's in a size small to medium and I was just really drawn to this absolutely stunning

rose print. For those really, like hot mornings, hot days in general, especially when you pop out of the shower.

It's just been so hot, like we have air conditioning units in our house and I'm literally roasting to death.

I'm actually roasting to death in this video

as I talk about it, because I don't to open the windows because it's just been noisy outside,

but this has just been such a game changer for me.

It's perfect for throwing on especially when you pop out of the shower, when you're doing your makeup

and you're trying to cool off. I think this particular

colour is sold out, but there's tons of other gorgeous floral patterns and prints on the Nordstrom website,

I think from the same brand, if not similar brands, so I will link that below for you.

I definitely don't like to repeat myself and show you guys products that I've shown on my channel before, but when

something is good and you really like it, It's definitely worth sharing. So I talked about these

espadrilles, their the brand Treasure and Bond and they're from Nordstrom in my June 'What's new in my wardrobe video,'

and I absolutely love these and I can vouch even more for them than I think I could in that video.

They are a white leather. They also come in a tan and a maybe of black as well.

I love this like, kind of like stark white, it really makes your outfit pop.

It's really kind of clean and crisp and I've been able to pair them in so many different ways

with so many pieces in my wardrobe for summer. It's just a really nice leather material and they're super comfortable.

I actually wore them last night,

so we went over to our friend's place and we were there from like 7 until like 12:00 12:30am

In the morning, and I did not take these off. To be able to wear an espadrille that's this high of a wedge for

over five hours, I think is really impressive. I picked them up in a size 8,

I wear a size 8, I'd say they fit true to size, but I can't recommend them enough.

So this bag from Topshop made it into my favorites just because I find myself reaching for it so, so much.

It retailed for $70

Canadian dollars and I feel like that could be a little bit pricey for a really kind of trendy bag, and you're not too sure

how much you're gonna wear it. However, I have been wearing this bag

so much on my days off, like I reached for it time and time again.

I find it actually pairs well with so many outfits, and I have received so many compliments on this bag.

It's a really unique bag. I know we kind of see them all over Instagram and

Pinterest however, that being said, I haven't seen anybody walking on the street with anything close to this.

I haven't really seen anything except like the round circular bags.

I'll insert a photo here if I can find one, so you know what I'm talking about. I absolutely love this, It has this amazing

shoulder strap. I love it. It's in that kind of faux leather material.

It's black and contrasts really nicely with the bag. To take it a step further, the strap is removable.

They've also included a linen pouch

which I don't think a lot of the designer bags do, I don't think they do them at all actually.

I haven't seen them come with pouches like this. This is a linen style drawstring pouch, and I love it,

I use it, and it's removable.

So, I personally like the pouch. Everything's in there, and I just think that this is such a fantastic

designer dupe. It's super affordable if you're comparing it with the kind of luxury

designers that are doing these bags at a really higher-end price point.

The last thing that I want to talk about from my

July monthly favourites is this

adorable faux fur stool.

I found this one at HomeGoods and it has this kind of beautiful blush

faux fur seat, and then these wooden legs.

The price is actually going to shock you,

it definitely shocked me, it was $16.99.

$16.99 for this beautiful stool. I think it looks a lot more high-end

I mean if it was more of that kind of like Mongolian faux fur, it would definitely look a little bit more luxurious,

but for my home office,

like how cute and feminine and girly to have a cute little stool like this at that price point? You can't

DIY it for that price. It's really nicely made actually, and I just love the colour.

It's really soft and I just can't get enough of it. I just love the contrasting wooden legs,

I just think it makes it look so much more expensive. It's maybe something you'd see from like Anthropology

or Urban Outfitters. So, this was such a good find, like I was definitely expecting this to be closer to $40 or $50 dollars.

So, to get it for under $20, such a deal and definitely worth a mention.

So those are my July monthly favourites!

I really hope that you guys have enjoyed this video. If you liked it, please give me a thumbs up,

that means so much to me; and that's how I know that you want to see type of content from me

so that I keep making these types of videos/

Rhythm & Shooter Game Mod for Nintendo LABO Toy-Con Piano - Duration: 2:31.

This is a rhythm and shooting game mash-up for Toy-Con piano.

Player 1 on the left controls the character above using the motion controls of the L controller.

It can shoot a sound missile by pulling the trigger button (ZL) while at certain check points.

Player 2 must protect themselves by hitting the right piano key, before it hits the bar at the bottom.

Player 2 wins by scoring 10 points before losing all their lives.

Player 2 can also shoot back with the black keys,

and if hit, Player 2 wins on the spot.

Movement logic for Player 1 is expressed like this.

Tilt to the right to increase the count and tilt to the left to decrease the same count.

Then it's connected to Light move node for output.

Next is the sound missile mechanism.

We want a single button press (ZL) to initiate the sound missile to move across from point A to point B,

then make it come back to the start line.

I explained this logic in my previous video.

Please check that out for more detail.

Lastly the game functions.

The logic to tell if the right piano key is pressed or not is easy.

When the missile hits the bullseye at the bottom, if the correct piano key is pressed,

then it proceeds to the Counter node on the right for the scoring.

If not, it goes to the Counter nodes on the left and takes 1 life.

Player 2's Life gauge is expressed by 3 Light up nodes.

Each of the Light nodes are connected with the Counter-Trigger node set to 1.

When this value is no longer 1, the light goes off.

Then the NG logics from earlier are connected to each of the Counter-Trigger nodes by 0.

In order to take life one by one, The second Counter-Trigger node is triggered

only if the first light is gone.

Similarly, the third light only goes off if the first 2 lights are gone.

You can change the difficulty by tweaking speed.

Counter-Hold nodes attached to Light nodes are responsible for controlling speed.

Smaller numbers here are faster.

This is our 2nd match with the speed increased for Player 2.

I hope these tips will be helpful to your own LABO project.

Happy creating!

5 LESSONS AFTER GRADUATION (EXPECTATIONS VS REALITY) - Duration: 9:36.

Vanessa Lau: Hello and how is it going?

My name is Vanessa Lau from vanessalau.co and I'll help you hack your mind so that you

can level up your life and be authentically you through personal branding and personal

development tips.

In today's video, we are going to talk about the five major lessons that I learned after

graduating university.

When I was in university I had two major goals in mind, the first was to get an internship,

and the second was to get a full time job after university.

Now that you've accomplished these two major life goals, the question that you probably

have in mind is what's next.

Well, if you are a fresh graduate please stick around to the end of this video where I reveal

my number one lesson.

If you were an old graduate make sure to still stick around because who knows maybe you might

resonate with a lot of things that I'm saying or you might be able to share your lessons

to me in the comments section below.

Of course before I begin make sure you subscribe and hit the notification bell to be notified

when I post a new video every Wednesday.

Without further ado, just keep on watching and of course enjoy the video.

One of the major lessons that I learned right after graduating is that it's okay to not

be okay, and remember that success takes time.

I know exactly what it's like to feel on top of the world after graduating and only to

feel like you ain't shit, seriously wait to graduate and realize that it's like first

year again.

You're literally at your new job, you don't know anything and you're going to make a ton

of mistakes.

Trust me, I think I am queen of making mistakes at work and in life.

Remind yourself that this process is pretty much almost the same as your first year of

high school, your first year of university, it is a phase in your life that you will get

through and that a lot of people are going through.

Remember to stay present and just be grateful that you've gotten this far and look forward

to growing in the future.

Now, the second lesson that I have is to ask questions.

When you're fresh graduate, I know what it feels like to feel intimidated, embarrassed

to ask questions because you don't want your intelligence to be questioned, or you're shy,

or you just don't want people to think that you can't do it.

But if there is a question that you cannot solve yourself, you need to speak out and

be vulnerable, be humble, and ask about question.

Because when you ask questions people actually appreciate it a lot more knowing that you're

curious and you are making a conscious effort, and make sure that you have the right answer.

Another thing I have to mention is that when you ask questions, you're actually opening

the door to opportunity to connect with others.

Whether that's your colleagues or your manager or strangers, by opening yourself up and being

vulnerable and asking for help you'll be amazed at the connections that you might potentially

form.

But beyond asking for on the job help, it's also important to ask questions and seek answers

on topics surrounding life.

Like I said earlier, when you first graduate you're going to feel extremely lost.

That's why this is my third lesson which is to never stop learning.

When you first step into this new world of adulthood there's going to be a lot of things

that you don't have answers to, or that you're unsure of, or that you're frustrated about.

That's why it's important to seek education in the form of podcasts, movies, documentaries,

books, meeting up with strangers that are a couple steps ahead of you, or even friends

that are a couple of steps ahead of you.

Because when you open your mind to accept new information, you'll be really surprised

at the conclusions that you might come across.

Remember, just because university ends doesn't mean that education has to end.

Especially after spending four or five years in a narrow path of learning you'll be surprised

to know that there's so much more in this world that you don't know about.

By opening your mind to other perspectives, you're able to not only have more enriching

conversations with other human beings but also you'll find that you'll have a much more

enriching life as well.

Now, onto lesson number four which is probably one of the hardest lessons that I had to learn,

which is to know the difference between work and life because when you're a new grad it's

so easy for your work to really consume your life and it makes sense.

You're eager to please, you don't want to drop the ball and you want to give your 150%.

Not only that, especially for me when I look back on why I worked super hard in my job

is because I thought that, hey I worked really hard in my four years of university and I

graduated and I got a full time job.

Which means that in order to achieve the things I want to achieve at my job I have to work

hard as well.

That is the science of success is to work extremely hard, which is valid for some points

but you also have to remember that when you're in school graduation is the end but in life

graduation is when you die.

I really don't mean to sound morbid but it is true, that's why you need to take a step

back, I know that it's really hard and I struggled with it a lot, and sometimes I still struggle

with it but you just have to remember to be present and to practice as much self-care

as possible, and to make sure that your health is the number one priority.

If you're lucky enough to have some close friends kicking around or family nearby, make

sure to consciously unplug so that you can spend time with your loved one, because at

the end of the day you don't want to wake up and realize that all of your close relationships

have really gone into dust because you were too focused with tunnel vision focusing on

things that at the end of the day don't really matter as much as you thought they did.

Now, onto my last and favorite all-time lesson and that is, drum roll please.

It is okay to change your mind and it is okay to change your expectations.

In university, we have so many expectations for ourselves, we expect to love our first

job, we expect to keep the same friends, we expect to still be known for the go getter,

the marketing guru, the accountant, the athlete, et cetera, but know that this is an entirely

new chapter in your life and no one is keeping tabs on you anymore, everyone and I mean everyone

is so focused on their own shit that they don't have time to pay attention to yours.

That's why it's important to know that it's okay if you don't like your first job, it's

okay if you lose some friends, it's okay if you choose not to hang out with some friends,

it's okay to change careers, because what is important is that you don't let sunk cost

bias changed the way that you live your life.

What sunk cost bias essentially means is when you actually invest the time, the money, and

the effort into something, and you become so attached to this investment that you actually

stick to things that you no longer want to do.

One of my all-time favorite quotes comes from the famous economist John Keynes and this

quote actually helped me get through this way of thinking and get past a sunk cost bias.

John Keynes was once challenged a lot by people because he found that he kept changing his

opinion.

To answer these complaints this is what he said, "When events change, I change my mind.

What do you do?

When the facts change I change my mind.

What do you do?

When the information changes I alter my conclusions.

What do you do?

When someone persuades me that I am wrong, I change my mind.

What do you do?"

I find this quote to be incredibly powerful because it's true.

I know what it feels like to feel embarrassed to change your mind because you don't want

to look like you're unsure of yourself, or you don't want to look like a hypocrite, but

give yourself some credit because remember you never know if you like something before

you try it, and you are in a new phase in your life where everything is completely new

and you're still trying to figure it out.

That is why you need to give yourself the patience and the permission to test things,

to learn things, and to pivot, to change when things aren't working out the way that you

thought they were going to, because just know that you're not locked into the decisions

that you made in high school, you were not locked into the decisions that you made in

university, and you definitely aren't locked into the decisions that you make today.

Just remind yourself that you have the control to change something if it's not going the

way that you thought it was.

Give yourself that permission and give yourself that forgiveness.

Those were the five major lessons that I learned after graduating, and I really hope that you

found this video helpful.

There are definitely the lessons that I wish I had at least a glimpse of before I started

my first full time job work before I stepped foot into real adulthood, but at the same

time I'm super grateful that I was able to learn these lessons on my own.

I truly believe that these hard lessons in life that make you closer to becoming person

that you really want to be.

As always, if you like the video make sure to hit the subscribe button, the notification

button and also the like button so that I know that these are the videos that you want

me to continue doing.

Before I go, I also want to give a special shout out to my friends Claudia, Jennifer,

heard today.

Thank you so much for watching as always and I'll see you in the next one.

"Como assim, man?", questionará Ícaro.
