Ma non più in silenzio». Il suo legale aggiunge: la versione di Asia Argento non corrisponde a verità

La nebbia su quanto successo nel 2013 - quando Bennett, all'epoca 17enne, sostiene ci sia stato un rapporto fisico tra i due, vissuto poi come un' aggressione, al punto che per questo avrebbe chiesto una cifra di risarcimento importante, scesa a 380 mila dollari nell'accordo firmato tra i due -, allontana l'arrivo a una versione ufficiale e condivisa su quello che è diventato, in poche ore, uno scandalo di portata mondiale

Una nebbia resa ancora più fitta dagli sms (tra cui uno in cui dice: «Ho fatto sesso con lui, è stato strano»

E ancora: «Quel ragazzino arrapato mi è saltato addosso») e dai selfie pubblicati ieri dal sito americano Tmz

In quello che è stato raccontato come lo scambio di messaggi tra lei e un amico, l'attrice sembra confermare ciò che pubblicamente ha negato

Ma mentre si è ancora nel mezzo dei tornanti della vicenda, sono iniziate le prime fermate obbligatorie

Conseguenze, concrete, di quanto sta succedendo in questi giorni. La prima è che Asia Argento ha deciso di abbandonare uno dei suoi prossimi impegni artistici: quello di madrina e curatrice di un festival musicale olandese, il Le Guess Who? «A causa della natura imprevedibile delle accuse che la riguardano, la signora Argento - si legge in una nota degli organizzatori - ha scelto di ritirarsi dal suo impegno nell'edizione di quest' anno»

Sul fronte X Factor, invece, tutto resta fermo. Il talent show di Sky Uno aveva fatto sapere di attendere chiarimenti prima di prendere una decisione ufficiale, anticipando però che se la versione del New York Times risultasse essere vera, diventerebbe inevitabile allontanare Argento dalla giuria dello show, il cui debutto è vicinissimo (il prossimo sei settembre) e di cui sono state già girate le prime selezioni, con lei presente

Nel frattempo, in molti hanno analizzato l'impatto di questo scandalo sul movimento #MeToo, di cui l'attrice era tra gli esponenti che per primi si sono esposti

E proprio il New York Times ha scritto di come l'attrice sia stata «messa alla gogna» dai media italiani, che l' avrebbero trasformata dall'essere «l' imperfetta portavoce di un movimento che in Italia già faceva fatica a prendere piede a una donna che potrebbe aver danneggiato la causa irreparabilmente, almeno nel suo paese»

È forse anche per questo che Mira Sorvino - altra colonna del #MeToo - si è esposta nelle scorse ore

Oltre ad aver detto di sperare che le accuse contro Argento non siano vere, ha aggiunto su Twitter: «Il tempo chiarirà, forse sarà scagionata, ma se sono vere non ci sono lenti che le faranno sembrare migliori»

E ancora: «L'aggressione sessuale di minori è un crimine vergognoso ed è contro tutto quello che il movimento #MeToo difende»

Prima di pagare il suo accusatore Jimmy Bennett, Asia Argento e il suo fidanzato, il cuoco star suicidatosi a giugno, avevano collezionato una gran mole di informazioni su di lui

È una delle tante novità che si ricavano dalla lettura dei messaggi scambiati tra l' attrice italiana e un amico che forse tanto amico non è, visto che li ha passati al sito scandalistico Tmz

È anche così che si giocano i processi pubblici nel 2018, con gli screenshot rubati, e forse Argento avrebbe dovuto saperlo

Soprattutto perché da quei messaggi emerge la conferma, il giorno dopo del «non ho mai avuto una relazione sessuale con lui» di clintoniana memoria, che l' attrice e Bennett hanno invece avuto un rapporto

Lunedì il New York Times pubblica lo scoop: Argento ha pagato 380 mila dollari per fermare la denuncia dell' attore e cantante Bennett, il quale sostiene di aver subito violenza in una stanza di albergo di Marina del Rey cinque anni fa, quando lui aveva 17 anni (quindi sotto l'età del consenso in California) e l'attrice 37

La richiesta di Bennett era arrivata un mese dopo la denuncia di Argento a Ronan Farrow del New Yorker su Harvey Weinstein, che aveva fatto di lei un volto chiave del movimento #metoo

Asia smentisce con forza: «Sono profondamente scioccata e addolorata dal dovere leggere notizie assolutamente false

Non ho mai avuto alcun rapporto sessuale con Bennett». Ma le rivelazioni di Tmz mettono tutto in discussione

Prima, martedì, i messaggi scambiati dall' attrice con Bourdain, che qualcuno evidentemente vicino al cuoco ha mostrato al sito

Uno di questi sembra alludere a un rapporto: «Non è stato stupro ma ero gelata. Lui era sopra di me dopo avermi detto che sono stata la sua fantasia sessuale da quando aveva 12 anni»

Poi, ieri, dalla pubblicazione degli sms scambiati con l'amico, una ammissione ancora più diretta: «Il ragazzino arrapato mi è saltato addosso»

È stato stupro, o un approccio sessuale?, le chiede l'interlocutore. «Ho fatto sesso con lui, è stato strano

Non sapevo che fosse un minore», risponde l'attrice, che dice di non essere stata consapevole, all'epoca, dell'età del consenso per la legge californiana (18)

Nell'articolo di Tmz c'è anche la foto dei due distesi a letto, abbracciati, la testa sul cuscino

Una foto che secondo l'accordo era stata restituita da Bennett ad Argento. «Non ho detto niente prima perché mi sono sempre sentita male per questo attore-bambino fallito, una vittima dell'apparato, dei suoi genitori», si difende Argento parlando con l'amico (l' accusa dell' avvocato di Bennett è che sia stato invece il trauma della violenza a rovinarne la carriera facendone precipitare i guadagni): «Su di lui ho 80 pagine raccolte da un investigatore privato assunto da Anthony»

Di una causa con i genitori aveva parlato il New York Times, che raccontava come Bennett avesse citato in giudizio sua madre e il suo patrigno accusandoli di avergli sottratto negli anni 1,5 milioni di dollari

Anche Bourdain, nei messaggi in cui invita la fidanzata a pagare, fa riferimento a una presunta instabilità mentale dell'accusatore: «Non stai pagando il suo silenzio

Solo la libertà da una seccatura. E per aiutare un povero stupido tormentato a rimettere la propria vita assieme»

Bourdain, che frequentava Argento da un anno e mezzo, le è sempre stato accanto nella vicenda #metoo

L'ha difesa dalle accuse di ipocrisia per aver continuato a frequentare Weinstein dopo lo stupro, e ha tentato di proteggerla da Bennett, descritto come un povero diavolo «che vuole solo spillarti soldi»

All'amico l'attrice scrive: «Tutte quelle mail di Anthony che mi spingeva ad accettare di pagare

Le mie mail con Carrie (il suo avvocato, Goldberg, ndr) in cui eravamo in disaccordo sull'idea

Carrie non ha mai voluto farlo, voleva andare subito alla stampa e mostrare il tentativo di estorsione nei miei confronti»

Ma lei alla fine aveva scelto di seguire i consigli di Bourdain, che poi le avrebbe dato anche i soldi per pagare

Ora l'amico le dice di dimostrare che il denaro non veniva da lei, e se ha prove di avance precedenti

Ma lei no, non ne ha, a parte le foto nude non richieste che Bennett le avrebbe inviato negli anni «fino a due settimane prima della lettera dell' avvocato»

Dagli scambi con l'amico Argento sembra incredula e spaventata: «Se perdo il lavoro andrò in Africa o nella foresta amazzonica

Voglio essere tra il 90 per cento del mondo che se ne frega di questa m., non il connivente, malato 10% dei viziati occidentali»
