Youtube daily report w Aug 5 2018

Stage 2 of Operation Summer 2018 has started on the 3rd of August, and everyone is going

mad trying to grind for the Illusive IS-7.

In this video I'll tell you the most efficient way to grind parts, break down how long it'll

take to unlock the vehicles using my method, and share a special shortcut for console players

and DMM users who can't use the marketplace.

Hello you sexy beasts, and welcome back to war thunder

(intro)

Before we jump into it there are just a couple disclaimers.

This video will be fast and rough, since I need to grind myself and don't have the

time to fully edit it out, so please excuse the lower than normal quality.

I will also be skipping over a lot of the detailed explanations and go straight to the

results, if you are confused or want to know how I got my results, there will be links

in the description to the reddit posts I've made myself explaining everything in detail.

This video is primarily aimed at the players who already have a grasp of the basics of

the event.

Secondly, count this as a trigger warning.

I will be promoting tactics that can be considered as "cancerous" by players who just want

to play the game and don't care about the event.

Thankfully this will all end together with the event on the 13th of August, but until

then expect your matches to be awful.

Alright, let's jump into it

The first question on everyone's mind will be how long you'll need to grind for to

get the T-34E and the IS-7.

Using the efficient grinding mention I'll explain later, it will take you a minimum

of 13.2 hours for the T-34E, and 28.7 hours for the IS-7, for a combined grind time of

almost 42 hours, if you want to go completely free without the use of the marketplace.

Accounting for queue times and breaks, you'd have to play for roughly 5h a day since the

start of the event to pull this off until it ends, it's a massive time commitment.

So, how can you maximise your efficiency of getting part drops, without going insane.

You'll be glad to hear that it is completely irrelevant how badly or well you play, as

well as if you win or lose.

The only thing that matters is the time.

Through extensive testing I've discovered that there is a soft cap that limits your

drops to 1 per 9 minutes.

Occasionally you can get a drop earlier than that, but 9 minutes is the most reliable time.

What this means is essentially this.

If you return to hangar when a match passes the 9 minute mark, you get a guaranteed part

drop.

This also stacks if you play multiple shorter matches.

For example, if you die in the first 3 minutes of a match and are forced to return to hangar

without gaining a part drop, you can then spend only 6 minutes in the next match to

guarantee yourself one.

You can also play three 3 minute matches and guarantee a drop on the third one.

You can play a 5 minute and a 4 minute match, and so on, you get the point.

This does mean that you will have to leave battles early if you want to maximise your

grinding efficiency.

If you spend any more than 10 minutes in a match, you're just wasting your time, since

the quality of drops does not seem to be improved at all by how long or how well you play.

To reiterate, spend 9 minutes total in matches, bail out, and guarantee a drop.

I've been keeping a track of my average material per drop rate, and by using this

method you can get up to 10.7 materials per hour for the T-34, and 22 materials per hour

for the IS-7.

You will need a total of 127 materials to complete the T-34, and 516 materials to complete

the IS-7

Finally, there is a paid shortcut for console players and DMM users, since they do not have

access to the marketplace.

Sadly this does not apply to PC players from the Netherlands and Belgium, you will have

to go through the entire and full grind if you want to get the IS-7, I'm afraid.

Right, the players I've mentioned have access to this box in their workshop.

For 1000 GE, you buy one box which gives you a coupon for an item from stage 1.

It doesn't matter if you own them or not, you can exchange the items you get for a voucher.

And this is where the trick lies.

You can further exchange these vouchers for 30 materials to speed up your grind.

In case of the T-34E, that's a time saving of about 3 hours for every 1k GE spent, but

the return is diminished for the IS-7.

You can almost completely skip the grind this way, but it will cost you over 20 thousand

golden eagles and you still need to get the rare parts as well, which is completely random

and can possibly take dozens of hours of grinding.

Thankfully there is an item that not only makes it much easier to acquire the rare parts,

but can also speed up your material grind for the IS-7 by 30-50%

The metal detector, costing 1K GE for the T-34 and 2K GE for the IS-7, unlocks the ability

to gain a single rare material every time you get a regular material drop.

You can use these rare materials to assemble the rare parts without relying on them dropping

by chance, but this does not block your ability to get them, meaning you can receive basic

materials, rare materials AND a rare part in a single drop.

Now this is useful if you're buying all the base materials for the IS-7, since it'll

guarantee no more than 7 hours of grinding needed to get all the rare parts.

However, it is even more useful if you don't buy the parts.

With the metal detector for the IS-7, you can get up to 6.7 rare materials per hour.

With two of these, you can build the rare part called IS-7 cylinder head, which you

can then disassemble for 5 regular materials.

This boost your material gain per hour by another 15, on top of the 22 you get with

my grinding method, for a total of 37 materials per hour.

This cuts down the time needed to get the 516 materials needed for the IS-7 after you've

acquired the T-34E from 28 hours to 14 hours.

For 2k GE, that is fully worth it.

Finally, I'm not going to explain all the recipes for you, but I am going to direct

you to my Discord instead.

I've compiled a list of all the recipes needed to build each part in a special text

channel there, as well as some useful links.

The recipes are the same for everyone, so don't waste time using the wrong parts.

But this is it for today, I need to get back into the grind.

If you want to see me using the IS-7 gaijin has lent to me to grind the IS-7 for full

Russian biasception, I'll be streaming today on both twitch and youtube, in fact I'm

probably live shortly after this video goes up.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask me in the stream chats.

But anyways, good luck with the grind lads, don't forget to stay hydrated and walk around

a couple of times every hour to avoid an embolism, and

stay tuned for an IS-7 guide both for the players, and the people going up against them

in the near future.

My name has been MikeGoesBoom, and thank you for watching!

Make Sodium Silicate from Cat Litter and Drain Opener (fixed) - Duration: 7:28.

Warning: Sodium hydroxide is corrosive, wear gloves when handling it.

The reaction also emits fumes and dust.

Work outside or in a fume hood.

Greetings fellow nerds.

Enough really complicated chemistry.

Today let's do something simple that doesn't require a Ph.D. in the field.

In this video, we're going to make sodium silicate.

By itself, it's not all that interesting, but it's a useful precursor to many silicon based chemicals.

Now i already did this many years ago using sodium hydroxide and silica gel from desiccant bags.

But you needed rather high temperatures to dissolve the silica gel desiccant.

I've recently found something much better, silica gel based cat litter.

Now i know most cat litter is based on clay but you can find some types of cat litter based on silica gel.

It's usually called crystal cat litter or some variation thereof.

While expensive for cat litter this is much cheaper than silica gel desiccant packs.

Now silica gel is clear or white, so you're probably wondering what these blue particles are.

These blue particles are actually silica gel that's been prepared with an indicator to show if they're wet.

Very high quality gel used in desiccants is made with small amount of cobalt salts.

They're blue when dry but change to light pink when wet.

They'll change back to blue when heated dry so they're reusable.

Cheaper brands like the one i have here just use blue dye that's leached out with water so they can't be reused.

Very cheap knock off brands just use permanent blue dye that doesn't change color at all.

I guess they just put them in to make the gel look expensive.

For most of my work none of this will be an issue

but if you're doing sensitive chemistry you might want to pick out the blue particles and just retain the white ones.

Now to make sodium silicate we start with about 60 grams of the silica gel based cat litter.

I strongly recommend using new cat litter.

You can used previously used cat litter if you desire, but i feel that would be a bad idea.

Anyway to this we add 100 mL of water.

It may bubble but that's just air inside the silica gel being forced out by the water.

It's not actually boiling.

You might be wondering why the blue indicator particles are still blue.

The color change is actually quite slow since it takes time for the water to diffuse in.

I found i had to leave it overnight before any significant color change was visible.

Now with stirring, add 80 grams of sodium hydroxide in small portions.

Don't add it in all at once or it will boil out of control from the self-heating.

I got my sodium hydroxide from drain opener.

So what's happening.

Silica gel is essentially amorphous silicon dioxide that's been made by aqueous chemistry.

The sodium hydroxide dissolves the silica gel to form sodium silicate.

Commercially, sand is used as the source of silica but that requires strong heating to dissolve.

The self-heating from the sodium hydroxide dissolving alone is not enough.

This is because sand is a crystalline solid, and to break up the crystal structure requires energy.

But silica gel is amorphous as well as being very porous.

So the sodium hydroxide can easily penetrate into the particles and very little energy is needed to break up the amorphous structure.

I'm not sure why, but the silica gel in cat litter is particularly reactive and will dissolve in sodium hydroxide without additional heating.

This is also a vast improvement over my previous source of silica gel from dessicant bags, which required strong heating to dissolve.

Now the ratio i'm using of two moles of sodium hydroxide and one mole of silica produces the classic sodium silicate formula known as sodium metasilicate.

But sodium silicates are not strictly defined as this ratio.

Sodium silicate actually covers a broad range of ratios and you can use four moles of sodium hydroxide to make sodium orthosilicate.

Alternatively you can have silica rich formulations and even non-stoichiometric ones.

There isn't a hard defined limit as to the ratios you can have.

Although as you approach higher amounts of silica, it tends to become harder and harder to dissolve.

Nonetheless they're all given the generic name of sodium silicate.

Now It may be helpful to scrap the sides of the container for silica gel particles.

They don't wash down and need to be mechanically removed.

Now once all the sodium hydroxide is added, let the mixture stir for several minutes to ensure complete reaction.

The silica gel in cat litter might not be all that pure so i recommend filtering to remove any insoluble particles.

This should be done while the solution is still hot.

If it's cold it becomes a viscous syrupy mass that's extremely slow to filter.

Now whatever you do, do not use fritted glassware to filter the sodium silicate.

Sodium silicate is essentially dissolved glass and can clog your frit.

Use a disposable paper based filter.

And there we have it, a solution of sodium silicate.

Now as said before, it will be a viscous syrupy mass.

I recommend keeping it in liquid form and pouring off the quantity you need for your experiments.

To standardize the concentration, top up the solution to a known volume and then divide that from the molar quantity to get the molarity.

In my case, i'm topping my solution to 200mL of volume.

Since i have one mole of sodium silicate I divide that 0.2 Liters to get the concentration of 5 Molar.

Be sure to stir your solution to homogenize it.

Now you might be wondering if you can dry it and get sodium silicate crystals.

You can, but i don't think it's worth it.

This syrup doesn't seem to evaporate, and while you could try to boil it dry i found there was a terrible side effect.

While most chemicals boil dry into a powder.

Sodium silicate dried into a very hard cement that cracked the glass.

This isn't surprising actually, sodium silicate is well known for being part of many types of inorganic binders, cements and other adhesives.

I'll probably explore that particular chemistry in the future.

Now a special note for those of you using sodium silicate for making insulating liners, forges, and other refractory uses.

Those mixtures require a silica rich mixture rather than the sodium hydroxide rich mixture i'm showing here.

So you'll want to modify the original procedure to use a 3:6 or 4:6 ratio of sodium hydroxide to silica gel,

rather than the 8:6 ratio I presented here.

The 3:6 to 4:6 ratio is more silica rich and is more widely known as water glass or liquid glass.

And this can directly be used as a drop-in replacement for the water glass or liquid glass version of sodium silicate often used for refractory compositions.

While the 8:6 ratio I presented in this video is more intended for amateur chemistry uses.

You can still use the video version for refractory mixtures, it'll still work.

But i imagine the properties would be somewhat different than what you're expecting.

So make the adjustments to your procedures as necessary.

For now i just want to use the sodium silicate as part of a much larger project to make various catalyst supports.

I also intend to revisit the classic chemical garden experiments.

Thanks for watching.

Alright, Brandy. We use Brandy.

Brandy is way better.

Like sweet Brandy, back when she first got her titties,

like around when Moesha was coming out.

Okay, so we hear the Brandy song.

People are like hooping, dancing, performing,

like a little talent show.

And then we hear Brandy comes out.

Now, we gotta do wide shot of Brandy because Brandy's

She might be the hammerhead shark of the R&B world.

Brandy's like, "At Emerson Funeral Home, we want you to

Can we talk about Depression? - Duration: 6:44.

hey welcome back and in today's video I feel like we should probably talk about

mental health it's very touchy subject but it's one

that I've talked about with you guys before now you already know that I was

hit by a car I suffered a brain injury the beginning of last year actually

January first and I like to say that I've completely healed from that I'd

like to say that everything is 100% like okay but I do get these like random bits

of depression completely out of nowhere and I know a lot of you guys are going

through that and it's a struggle I see a doctor and I went there the other day

and was referred to psychiatrists psychologists both and I'm just trying

to get this under control trying to get it figured out because I have like like

anxiety attacks panic attacks whatever they are attacks they're awful

for no reason at all and it started after the accident I mean I've had them

before you know previously but not as intensely as they are now and it's I've

even wondered if it was an allergic reaction like I could can't breathe I

feel like a fish out of water but there was these certain things that I do that

just calm me down like sort of like OCD things like eating's one eating is one

maybe even washing my hands in hot water as weird as that sounds it does sound

like OCD that's what they think but I don't really like medications at all

nothing I won't even take tylenol home against them and I don't like the fact

that they say that there's something in my head maybe PTSD maybe something like

that where the neurons are just not firing correctly and I might have to

have something to fix it and I ask will it be something that can be fixed I mean

I've tried everything on my own meditation does help taking proper time

off does help taking time for myself in general just helps there's a lot of

things that help and I'd like to hear some of the things that you guys do that

help you because I've just been like just pushing past it pushing past it and

I have my coping mechanisms and I've just been fun with it and I don't like

relying on anything I'm a very self preserved person and I like to think

that I'm strong enough to handle anything and I'm coming to the

realization that it's not a weakness but a strength to admit that you actually

have a problem and I'm to the point now where I'm like man it just you know what

I'm talking about it just kind of feels like your body is just going against you

because I have no social anxiety I don't I'm not afraid to talk to people I'm

actually very outgoing but then these random times throughout the day for no

reason at all I just feel like I feel like right now like right now I don't

feel great I feel sleepy and tired but specifically wanted to shoot this video

while I was having anxiety so so you guys can get the feel of it and I

understand like you guys go through it too and

I think it's good that we talk to each other about it that way we can relate on

that level and it does cause depression - for me conflicting thoughts and things

like that but as I'm gonna see this this I can't remember if it's a psychologist

or psychiatrist but I'm definitely gonna see that and I'm gonna tell you exactly

how that works for me and I go the 16th of August and will will I'll be updating

on Twitter so make sure you're following the Twitter and we'll just we'll figure

it out together and we're always gonna be there for each other I'm always gonna

be here for you guys and that's really important I know another thing that

complicates things is like in my day to day life I do feel like no one really

knows me and I've talked to people about it and I know that you guys probably

similarily feel like alone like no one really knows you and that's how I feel I

feel like people in my day to day like my family like they don't really keep up

with what I do here on this channel I don't know nothing about it to them it's

like Chinese riding and they just don't really feel like they are really

connected with me on a close way I know they love me but they don't get me and

that makes me feel alone so I can't really go up to them and ask them for

advice on anything because they don't know so I've been kind of doing this

thing since I started the past couple years myself and I've learned a lot

there's a lot about YouTube that I friggin know I know how to start another

channel if I needed to and if you guys need help on that

I might can help you out with a couple pointers I've helped other people before

but yeah it's it's really rough when you feel alone and I feel like you guys even

though we haven't met in person that you guys really know me a lot more than

people that have met me or know me so yeah I'm thinking I'm closer to you guys

than them and that I don't even talk to them about what I'm talking to you guys

about or right now so but I am really sleeping right now but I just wanted to

get this I just want to talk about this today and I just sometimes it's good to

get these kind of emotions out so I just want to know how you guys are feeling

what's your coping mechanisms has has therapy worked for you anything that you

want to tell me just put it in the comment box below because it's

interesting to me and I'm just gonna go ahead and cut it off right there and

that's it

Here's Why the Original Audi R8 was Worth $120,000 - Duration: 4:47.

it's time for show-off Sunday, where everyone has a chance to show off their

own car, and here's this week's winner, this my original Audi R8, when the Audi R8 came out about ten

years ago, it's cool futuristic design took the world by storm, the cars

immediately sold out and we're on 18-month waiting list,

the r8 is a mid-engine two-seater sports car, it's low center of gravity and

perfect weight distribution, coupled with Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive system

makes it go like it's on rails, it also uses the same platform as its sister car

the Lamborghini, as we circle to the front of car and see the Quattro

insignia on the front grille right here, the engine bay is gorgeous decked out

all around with the carbon fiber panels, it's got a naturally aspirated v8 engine

that makes 420 horsepower, enough to take it

from zero to 60 in just over four seconds, it's got an insane top speed of

190 miles an hour, putting it in a range that most cars cannot match, and I love

the styling of the original r8, it has very nice curves, the carbon fiber side

blades are definitely a signature feature, it's also the first production

car with full LED headlights, one of the drawbacks of a mid-engine car is lack of

cargo space, but surprisingly the front trunk the car is large enough to hold carry-on

luggage for my weekend trips, on the inside you get the refinement of a

luxury German car, my car is equipped with carbon fiber trim all around and I

love the traditional analog instrument cluster, there are some who say new

computer display clusters making the analogue ones look dated, I actually

think the opposite, the analog cluster looks very classy and timeless on the

other hand computer displays change fast and will likely look outdated in a

few years, this car has all the standard amenities you find in the modern

luxury-car, multi-way adjustable other heated seats, as well as a 12 speaker 465

watt banging olsen sound system, although i really listen to it because I'm

usually listening to the aggressive prowl of my V8 engine, lets take this car out for a drive, now what may be

surprising to some of you is that this car can be used as a daily driver, both

in terms of reliability as well as level of comfort, now the term reliable

supercar may sound like an oxymoron to some of you, but Audi actually did a

very good job in terms of making a supercar

essentially have the reliability of a luxury sedan, okay let's check out the

acceleration,

puts a smile on me every time, now comes my favorite part, when you have an

exotic car you gotta make music video,

well that was this week's video, and remember to have your car video

highlighted here on my channel, check this out,

so if you never want to miss another one of my new car repair videos, remember to

ring that Bell!

A Sister From Australia Tells How She Convert to Islam - Duration: 6:43.

Salam Alaikum brothers and sisters of Islam and Salam to people going to learn about Islam.

I would like to tell you how I came to Islam because I would like to share with people

who are interested as well.

Because people that think about Islam and want to convert it's a really big step and

you have to think about family your friends work stuff like that affected by it well I

came to Islam when the start of 2007 I started to take studies of religion school.

It really helped me because I didn't restrict myself to God I was reading about Hinduism,

Buddhism, Sikhism things from ages like from hundreds of years ago I was reading about

everything and I was Christian I was baptized but I'm from England originally before I moved

to Australia and life has a meaning which I told myself is a reason why we're here and

I would like I would like I would love to have known who put me here and I believe in

God but I didn't believe that Jesus blessings and peace be upon him was the son.

So I started really I found Islam and as soon as I read the first paragraph about what Islam

meant the word Islam submitting to Allah was meaningful to me just the word of the religion

means a lot to me and I mean why would we worship someone that got a message from Allah

when we could have worship Allah because his one that was giving the message to people

and alhamdulillah that we had people of Muhammad (s.a.w) so I started to go to lectures and

I found a beautiful sisters and they are like my family now and I said my Shahada and best

day of my life cheers everywhere but I would like people to know that you can do it I mean

my family don't know and about five of my friends know all of our Muslim friends I haven't

told my Christian friends because I don't think would go down too well because in Australia

people are very strict with their religion people are very supportive Muslim people are

very supportive and I would really tell people thinking of reverting to take it slow learn

prayer learn words like Inshallah, Mashallah stuff like that key words of Islam to use

in your everyday language.

Because it's hard to say it like I don't always say it which I really should but I say it

around certain people like if I'm with my mom I wouldn't say it if I'm where my friend

that a Christian I wouldn't say it but yeah I have to start saying it but it's hard but

I'd work at it I'd work at saying then things and hopefully Inshallah everyone will see

the love Allah that is my wish I wish every human being that was born Muslim everyone

is born Muslim on this earth and I wish that they would stay on that path and it will see

the light of Allah Subhanallah.

There's not enough knowledge in this world about Allah and Islam and everything to do

with Islam and I would learn from a like if a question our research and maybe I wouldn't

know that I mean people Shaykhs don't know everything um there's always more to learn

about Islam and I am willing to learn that almost anything that I can.

Am I ashamed to be Muslim?

No, I'm not ashamed of being Muslim.

I'm very proud of being Muslim and I don't see why anyone should be ashamed.

This religion is beautiful and the utmost truth.

Nobody knows I am Muslim yet a couple of friends that's about it I'm not ready to tackle people

yet I am just brooding my faith which you should do reverts out there you should strengthen

your faith knowledge should be at the 100% which you think is the basis the foundation

of Islam say people will ask you like if you want to tell your parents and they questions

at you you can answer them you can answer them like that she like then they know that

you know about it and you are aware of everything I am not at that stage yet but Inshallah in

time I will be.

Being ashamed of a religion is not good.

If you are ashamed of a religion then don't be in a religion don't be in a religion.

Why have one if you're ashamed of it because if you're ashamed of it then you don't believe

it.

If you believe it then you're gonna love it.

Because you have a reason you have a path of life you have rules and guidance from Allah

and that's the beauty of it having someone there be can pray to who can provide for you

who can look after you in in the hereafter and it's beautiful.

My religion is beautiful.

My history of the religion is beautiful.

The people in our beautiful.

It's a respectful religion and I love my religion.

How to Abuse the System to Maximise Grinding Efficiency (IS-7 2018) | War Thunder - Duration: 7:47.

I might can help you out with a couple pointers I've helped other people before

but yeah it's it's really rough when you feel alone and I feel like you guys even

though we haven't met in person that you guys really know me a lot more than

people that have met me or know me so yeah I'm thinking I'm closer to you guys

than them and that I don't even talk to them about what I'm talking to you guys

about or right now so but I am really sleeping right now but I just wanted to

get this I just want to talk about this today and I just sometimes it's good to

get these kind of emotions out so I just want to know how you guys are feeling

what's your coping mechanisms has has therapy worked for you anything that you

want to tell me just put it in the comment box below because it's

interesting to me and I'm just gonna go ahead and cut it off right there and

that's it

The well-known journalist Abdurrahman Balcılar sincerely loves Çağatay Ulusoy, whom he

has known personally since the filming of the series I called her Feriha.

Not surprisingly, Abdurrahman reacted with great resentment to the pejorative response

of the columnist of Posta magazine Mesut Yar to the release of the first Turkish Netflix series.

In particular, the blogger reminded that Çağatay is one of the most popular actors not only

in Turkey but also abroad.

And the release of the series The Protector is expected not only by the Turkish audience

but by millions of fans around the world.

Blaming Netflix for greed, not having enough grounds - is pretty stupid and short-sighted.

Especially considering that the platform invests in the promotion of The Protector, introducing

it internationally (remember the presentation in Rome along with the most popular Netflix series).

So what exactly does Mesut Yar want without even looking at the teaser of the project?

Conclusions we will do only when we see the final product, and not based on the fantasies of journalists.

Hi, neighbor!

I'm playing at Prince Wednesday's Castle today.

Come play with us!

(laughing) - Go, go!

- My turn! I'm next!

- There you go, Chrissie!

Ooh, I have time for a couple more rides before I go to work.

Hop on, Wednesday! - Yeah! Boop-she-boo!

Giddy-up horsey! - Can I be next? Can I?

- OK, OK, Daniel!

As soon as Prince Wednesday's ride is over.

Neigh! (laughing)

- A royal hello, children. I'm going to the garden

to plant a tree. I'll be right outside if you need me.

- Got it! - OK, Dad!

- Ready, Daniel? - Ready!

- Neigh, neigh! - Oh, yeah! Yippee!

Yippee! - Neigh!

- Yeah! - Whoa!

- Thanks, Prince Tuesday. - Aw, you're welcome, little D.

- My turn again! Will you gallop even faster this time?

- Oh! I want another turn too! - Me too!

- Aw, I wish I could, but I can't play anymore.

- You can't? - But... why not?

- It's time for me to get ready for work.

- No more horsey rides.

- What should we do now?

- Well... um... maybe we could...

I don't know. What do you want to do, Daniel?

- I don't know. - OK, I'm off to work!

- But... how about one more horsey ride?

- (together): Please?

- I'm sorry. I was having fun too,

but I can't be late. I have to get to the grocery store.

I know you're disappointed.

How to Abuse the System to Maximise Grinding Efficiency (IS-7 2018) | War Thunder - Duration: 7:47.

HOW I GREW MY YOUTUBE SUBS TO 2000 WITH A $25 MIC - Duration: 7:53.

what's up y'all this is Hussein Nasser from IGeometry where we discuss software

engineering by example this is a different video today we're not gonna

discuss any software per se no software concept today but we will I'm gonna talk

about how I was able to grow my youtube channel to 2000 and plus I think to 2200

subscribers using really basic equipment I don't even I only have a laptop a Mac

and this affordable really good microphone that we're gonna talk about

so so my journey in general says I started taking YouTube seriously maybe

in 2016 or maybe 2015 and I late 2015 yeah

so I took this MacBook that I have and then I basically wanted to make a

youtube channel to transfer my knowledge to the public about software I'm not

gonna make software tutorials especially GIS software tutorials and then just

talk about software programming and and so I wanted a medium to to express

myself to talk about this you know gee I wasn't thinking about subscribers I

don't really won't really care about views and I just want to help people

that wasn't in my main my main goal of starting this channel seriously and back

then I called it I geometry because my my field of expertise is GIS geographic

information system that's what I'm that's why that's why I work at I'm

specialist in that field but in general when I when I started making YouTube but

I I got this MacBook and and I I just started using this simple QuickTime

application there literally that said and I do a screen recording and I will

take a video of my screen and then talk about that I just make the tutorial

right there I don't have any experience in Photoshop a really bad designer but

I'm good in general I I know how to talk about a topic I

I'm a good programmer I'm good a developer just software designer and I

just that really made me want to share this knowledge with people and you can

check the content of this channel to see them but what I want to talk about today

is just this notion that I see a lot of people think that hey you want you need

to have all these expensive equipment to get started and in YouTube and to do

really to be successful on YouTube right and even even without being successful

just think about sharing your knowledge sharing your ideas sharing your

creativity you don't really need anything I was able to reach to 2000

Plus subscribers by just using quick time which anyone with a Mac or even

with Windows you had there are a lot of screen sharing work applications that

does that for you and and this I was basically when I started I was using the

built in microphone of Mac it wasn't really good there's a lot a lot of noise

and you know bad captures a lot of things that I wanted to capture and it

makes my voice quality goes down and when I when I I was looking for is you

know something not expensive I already wanted something affordable I know it

was really this is okay I don't want to spend seven hundred bucks for a

microphone I don't I want something affordable really good quality so I

searched this so I found this area you can see in this screen right now I found

this microphone it I think it's one twenty four ninety nine and twenty five

blogs and it says well you don't want to spear if it's bad I'm gonna return it

but who is really surprised like oh I actually you can hear this is I'm using

that that microphone right now and you can see that the quality is pretty

decent no and I use it just to amplify my voice and if they're like a it just

reduce any noise in the background if the AC is running it just takes that

away and I really like it and I've been recording most of my videos using that

alright and then that improved my quality of the video is compared to the

videos that I had if you go back to my old videos you can see

how how poor they were and he can see the background stuff and I don't know

you know yeah in general so I just want to share this with you guys it's like

you don't really need if you want to start you teach yell if you have a skill

don't deprive people from your skill just because you think that you're

you're not good enough or or you think oh you don't you don't have these

equipments or you have all these stuff you don't really need all that you just

need a medium to start porting your voice just go in there and and just show

your skills show it just provide your skills they're out there and you will be

surprised how many people really are searching for the skills that you have

right and this will grow your opportunities I mean when I started the

YouTube channel I was like making very basic videos I was in another country

back then my my home country Bahrain and because of my youtube channel there was

a main reason making all these videos I was I got a job in a back I got a job

Oh Jeremy I mean I artists state right now in California because I was making

these videos right so you you don't know how how just by letting your skills out

you don't know who can reach you who will see it even be if you get seven

views so that one of those seven views could be I don't know Oprah or someone

someone is it doesn't you don't have to get like million views right but if you

get the right people right if you really do it with with passion if you're

passionate about don't don't do it just put a crap out there just because you

want to make videos but you make videos that because you like shit to share your

knowledge in general I hope you guys enjoy this little video and I'm gonna

put the affiliate link of this microphone in the description below I

got a little percentage Commission if you if you if you purchased

microphone in general but that just stick that advice I mean in general if

you want to do something just go do it don't let these little things like oh I

need a microphone or I need a very fancy camera sometimes I use that built-in

camera to record my face right there you can see in some of my babies but you

don't need any of that so go there and show you work to people

that's a by the way that's a good book by Steven Pressfield show your work I

really recommend listening to that audio book I'm gonna put the audible actually

link of the for that book show your link in the description below as well alright

guys that's it for me today I'm gonna see you in the next one if you're

interested in software tutorials and if you want to be a better software

engineer learn about the software technology stuff consider subscribing to

this channel you're gonna see a lot of content that may interest you and we can

see you in the next one guys take care bye bye

The Future of this Channel? | Moving to Greece + the Struggle of Digital Nomad Life - Duration: 7:01.

hi guys and welcome back to my channel we have arrived in Crete it's my first

time in Greece and I kind of just wanted to sit down and talk to you a little bit

about what we're doing here what my plans for the channel are while we're

here and just have a little bit of a catch up if you've been following my

journey you'll know that I've just come from Tbilisi Georgia and Georgia was the

start of a kind of slower pace of travel for me I've been traveling pretty hard

since I started this whole lifestyle last year and it was everything I wanted

it to be it was everything I needed it to be running a business is hard running

a business is really really hard but running a business while traveling is

even harder on top of all the admin and the accounts and the actual day-to-day

business itself you've got dealing with different time

zones trying to find Wi-Fi connections and obviously there's the FOMO when it

comes to the travel as well and Georgia was great because I finally managed to

get on top of that because we were there for so long I could slow down a bit do

everything I needed to do for business and still enjoyed the travel and I

absolutely loved that set up but I'm still kind of dealing with a little bit

of FOMO and a little bit of guilt yes when I'm working I do feel like I'm

missing out on the travel and I'm not making the most of the destination in

Georgia really sorted that out but what I haven't really dealt with yet is how

when I'm traveling I feel guilty about not working and I feel like I'm missing

out on working and developing scaling my business improving my videography skills

all the things I really love doing sometimes I feel like it's hard to

balance the travel and all those things and they just kind of take away from

each other and that's probably the hardest thing of all for me I love

everything that I do I love traveling and I love running my business and I

love vlogging which I didn't really expect but I do love running this

channel and obviously I love running my travel blog but sometimes it feels like

I'm just juggling this whirlwind of like travel vlogging blogging work and it's

just kind of crazy sometimes and sometimes I feel like I'm not fully

immersed in any of them and some I feel like they're kind of just

fighting each other it is this constant struggle to focus on the one that needs

my attention at that time so slowing down in Georgia has been great but what

I really want from Greece is I want to address this other struggle with this

feeling that everything I'm doing is kind of taking away from everything else

I'm doing until now it's been a bit of a struggle to keep on top of everything

and that's taken up all my energy but now I'm actually on top of everything

and I'm happy with where everything is and how it's going and I want to take it

to the next level but as I say I'm in this place where I feel like every time

I work on a video it's taken away from business every time I learn something

new it's taking away from the time I'm actually putting into editing and

creating the videos in the first place and I think maybe the only way to

overcome this is to kind of find a way to integrate the world a little bit more

and now that I'm thinking about that it kind of seems obvious I started this

YouTube channel to document this journey and share this lifestyle with you guys

and learning new things and developing is all part of the journey but for some

reason in my head it's like I think I need to deal with that off camera and

then just show you the finished product if I want to learn a new editing

technique or become better at filmmaking it's like I think I need to find a day

just set aside and do that and then you'll just see the videos afterwards

but I think what makes sense and what I want to do is to take you on that

journey with me it's all part of the journey of this channel and it's all

part of my journey in this lifestyle and instead of just showing you the finished

product or telling you about what I'm doing I

want to be able to show you all of that stuff I want to show you how I'm

learning and progressing and developing whether it's videography business travel

blogging whatever it is I want to share the whole journey with you and even if

some of you are better videographers than me or better photographers than me

you run bigger businesses than me oh you're not even interested in any of

that stuff I hope you will still enjoy being on this journey with me and

joining me as I continue to figure this whole thing out because I've only been

living magically for about nine months now I've only been running my business

full-time for about nine months now and I've only been doing YouTube for eight

or nine months now everything's still very new and I think actually it's a

good chance to jump in and show you what that journey looks like so here's what

to expect from Greece you can expect more travel obviously and judging by

what I've seen so far I think it's gonna be a really fun place to explore great

food great views and really really great people you can still expect more videos

talking about business and the digital nomad lifestyle but as I said I want to

show you as much as I want to tell you I want to show you the journey not just

once I figured it out showing you how I figured it out and what that looks like

I want to take you on the journey of learning and developing with me and you

can also expect to see some videos on the journey of this channel itself as

meta as that may be as I said I really want to improve my videos it's something

I didn't expect to enjoy but I have become really passionate about and I'm

really enjoying learning about videography and filmmaking and

everything that goes into it and rather than trying to struggle with one more

piece of the pie I think it makes sense to take you on that journey with me and

show you how I'm learning and what I'm learning and then you can see the end

result as well I always love to hear your feedback and I do read every single

comment that gets left on this channel good and bad and like usual I would love

to hear what you think of all of this I'd really love to hear your thoughts

today especially I'd love to know what you enjoy watching I'd love to know what

you'd like to see more of and I just like to know maybe what brought you to

this channel and why you watch my videos and of course if you're in a similar

situation in any way yourself if you're just learning to make videos if you're

becoming a digital nomad or if you just really love travel let me know below I

love to know and I will reply to every single person so as always thank you for

watching it's just being a bit of a chatty rambley quick video today but

it's something I really wanted to talk about because I feel like this struggle

has been ongoing since the start and it's just kind of building and building

and as I get more on top of things it almost gets worse and I think it's also

important to talk about the difficulties of what I'm doing as well and not just

show you the good so thank you for watching again I look forward to hearing

your thoughts the first video from here in Crete will be up on Wednesday and I

hope I see you there

Chelsea prepare Aaron Ramsey bid with Arsenal ready to sell midfielder ● News Now ● #AFC - Duration: 1:44.

Chelsea are planning to launch a late bid to sign Aaron Ramsey as Arsenal are prepared

to sell the midfielder, according to reports.

The 27-year-old has just under a year remaining on his current contract with the Gunners and

would be able to leave the club on a free transfer next summer if he fails to sign a

new deal.

Arsenal have been in talks with Ramsey's agent this summer but so far an agreement

has not been reached and the midfielder admitted last month that he is unsure when negotiations

would be resolved.

According to the Sunday Express, Chelsea are ready to capitalise by submitting an offer

for Ramsey in the closing stages of the summer transfer window, which closes on Thursday.

The report also claims that Arsenal are 'ready to sell' Ramsey in order to fund more new

signings to boost their own squad.

Earlier this week, Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri admitted that he was keen for the club

to recruit another midfielder before the end of the transfer window.

'We have very good midfielders, but maybe a midfielder with different characteristics

[would be a good fit],' he said.

The Sunday Express reports that Sarri had been interested in a deal for Jack Grealish

but Tottenham are leading the race to sign the midfielder from Aston Villa.
