This is the preview that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate gives to us an it will turn into a...
... long and very fun way full of challenges with a several variety of difficulties at the side of...
...Our favorite nintendo's characters from its main franchises and some others from many other developers.
I'm Wolf and I welcome you to Super Smash Brothers Ultimate Review.
Visually, the game is excellent, we have more than 70 characters to choose.
And play against the CPU or other players.
Time battle, Stock battle, with items, stamina battle, and many other rules we might think of.
Each item have a unique design that remind us the franchise from were it came.
Stages are also fine an its details remind us the game from were they came and why were they important back then.
The adventure map have an excellent design as well and have some touches that makes it very original.
Letting us play as we want, not having to walk in only one direction.
Leaving completely up to us were and when to go, though we'll have to get some things to get some places
Menus and interface are quite comfortable and eye catching.
We'll see quickly of how many ways can we play and get curious about those we haven't tested yet.
As you might expect from this saga, we have a large amount of sounds from the main themes of our favorite series.
To the signature sounds of the items of this series.
We have original themes and remixes that enhance the battles and at the side of the sound effects.
Gives us the feeling of being were we're suppose to be.
With this large amount of characters, items and stages we can truly say that they make a great job.
Bringing this elements to the battlefield. Because keeping aside personal taste for a franchise.
Each stage highlights itself from the other and there are no 2 alike.
Game's narrative despite not being its main feature its pretty good.
However, on the begging gives us a complete wrong idea of how is going to be playing it.
So if you plan to get into this mode, consider two things:
1.- The narrative won't be as it looks is going to be. 2.- Is completely different from the Sub-Space Emissary.
The second consideration won't count for the game's final score, but I clear this out.
Because I've seen many people disliking this mode because of this reason.
And even though I understand this, is a game mode too fun as for disliking it for not setting things clear from the begging.
A little more of what I said at this video intro is mention and it's never clear why the final bosses are acting.
Or about anything else actually, the narrative just gives us enough info to keep going.
Yet we get enough to actually get an interpretation of whats happening.
We have a game with enough content for hours and hours of fun.
An not only becuse being a title of this kind, it will last for as long as there are internet and players.
Because also because we have more than 70 characters, and adventure mode that will last around 30 hours.
A classic mode that changes a little to suit each character.
Every online mode of which I've already spoken in other video that will be available at the end of this one.
Over 80 items of the different franchises that appear on this game.
Different rules we may change to play of many different ways.
And over 80 stages to fight with hundreds of songs that we might listen.
Not to mention the 124 challenges the game has to beat on its different modes and difficulties.
On this game the 50 hour or even the 100 hour barrier might be easily surpassed.
Gameplay is pretty complete as well.
Each character has 4 normal attacks and 4 charged attacks (Smash attacks).
As well as 4 special moves: one neutral and one for each direction we can move to.
Plus, during the battles, different items might appear for us to heal and throw and more.
On the adventure mode we can increase our character's power by making teams with the spirits we release.
And this upgrades might be used on multiplayer battles if we activate this choice from the rules menu.
Plus we must gather skill spheres on the adventure mode, to have some extra skills while playing trough.
Some of the spirits we release might be enhanceable to get even stronger.
But we'll have to train them again afterwards.
We can use some spirits we have to summon others we don't.
And we can train the ones we have by fighting with them, feeding them or sending them to expeditions.
There are shops when we might buy food, spirits and skill spheres.
Once we get to a shop or to an expedition site, we might buy or sent spirits to an expedition from the menu.
Without having to actually go back to the place they are.
Same goes with gym's were we might train them to get son improvements on exchange of some weaknesses.
To customize our strategies and characters as we want and to try different ways to play.
With all characters we wanna try.
Classic mode is about 10 challenges that we must face with a certain character.
And that are built specially for him.
On the adventure mode we'll have to face different themed challenges.
Were rooster characters will represent characters of different games.
And they will share some qualities with this characters, but also there are going to be disadvantages for us.
Some of them will be too frenetic and some will require a lot of strategy to stand a chance.
All of them being too fun clearing.
Boss battles will demand an almost perfect battle, a few mistakes will be enough to fall.
But bosses are too fun as well.
Spirits we release will have one of 4 attributes: Sword, shield, grab and neutral.
And we'll need many of the different kind there are, because depending on how many supports they can take.
The power the might get.
Plus the game ask for us to play with weaker teams to get better and more rewards.
Because if our team is much more stronger than the team we beat we wont get many of them.
On the adventure mode we can also release all characters on the game.
But if this mode is just not for you, playing the other modes you'll unlock them as well and faster.
Overall, we have a really complete game on every visual, musical and playable way.
With so many things to do that we'll be in front of the screen for a while alone or with friends.
A large amount of characters and game modes will keep you learning how to play and then applying this lessons with other people and game modes for hours and hours.
And that's why it gets a final score of 91/100.
Graphics, Sound, Narrative, Content, Gameplay, Total.
