Steampunk Fantasy - THE GOBLIN EMPEROR (ESP audio | ENG/ESP subtitles) - Duration: 9:39.
My esteemed Ajrandemahwer the Third, it will please you to know that I've dedicated long
moments of consideration to your marriage proposal which so fervorously
you made the night of the Royal Drunkenball. I must say that you were very eloquent,
and I appreciated your honesty in bringing the ties of your breeches down in order to show me
what you could add to the conjugal bed. I didn't appreciate, however, that you
exposed your tuberose in front of my widowed mother.
She later commented, quite accurately, that you were a gentleman of urges
most fitting to a snouted, mud-loving being.
Also, and I stand with her on this, you are prone to belch profusely after
every sentence, and we've both agreed that your visage looks akin to that of a
caprine being terribly displeased at the inefficiency of their own intestinal pace,
and Your Highness emits a potent aroma of inseams buttered in aged cheese.
Because of this, I find myself obliged, with deep, deep
sorrow, to decline your galland and bold offer of marriage, and also to
warn you that if you ever introduce me to your little bald friend, whether in public
or privately, I'll have to shorten its length with the aid of an Iberian falcata.
Mon Dieu!
Hi people! Finally this weekend I finished
this book. I enjoyed it a lot and wanted to tell you about it.
Today's book is THE GOBLIN EMPEROR by Katherine Addison. I have a
bit of history with this book, since, like I told you like a thousand times
in past videos, I made the Spanish cover. The guys from Alethé called me and said:
"Hey, we're going to bring this book to Spain and translate it. Would you like
to design the cover?" And I said "Oh yeah!" I'm so proud and happy
to have it here. Look look look...
It has drawings inside too, and down here it reads "Libertad Delgado,"
so people know that I made it. Okay, THE GOBLIN EMPEROR by Katherine
Addison (pen name for Sarah Monette) is a
steampunk story with goblins, elves, and convoluted palace societies.
So it's like Steampunk Fantasy. I'll read the synopsis.
"Maia, the Emperor's youngest son, half elf and half goblin, has spent his whole life
in exile, far away from the imperial court and its deadly schemes.
However, when his father and his three succesor brothers die in an
"accident," he has no choice but to accept
its new position as the only legitimate heir. He completely lacks any
political education and has no friends or advisors,
but he's sure that whoever murdered his father
and brothers might try the same with him at any moment. Surrounded by
flatterers eager to gain the new, naïve Emperor's favor,
and overwhelmed by the responsibilities of his new life, Maia
can trust nobody. Amidst a hurricane of intrigues to depose him,
offers of arranged marriages, and the still unknown conspirers
lurking in the shadows, Maia will have to adapt quickly to his life
as the Goblin Emperor. He'll walk through this path alone, searching for
at least one friend, and with the hope of living a love story,
always watchful of the hidden enemies threatening him, in fear of
losing the throne... or his life."
So this is the protagonist, Maia (Dammit, "Maia-hee-Maia-hoo" was supposed to play here)
I love this character to bits. Usually
in fantasy novels about palace scheming
most characters are backstabbing jerks
and the biggest motherfucker wins everything.
But Maia is an atypical character,
in the sense that he's so good, so kind. From the beginning we know
that he cares a lot about the people beneath him
in social class. That being said, he's lived his whole life
in a swamp where the Emperor banished Maia's mother, the goblin princess,
and him, a guy half-elf half-goblin, and poor Maia has always been there
on his own. His greatest toy was probably a stick or a toxic toad
he found somewhere. And suddenly,
one day, someone knocks at his door and an envoy elf shows up and tells Maia: "No, see,
your father the Emperor and your brothers the Archdukes
got smashed in a zeppelin accident. The zeppeling was flying
as they returned from a wedding, and it went prrrr... and now you're the Emperor of
the Elflands." And Maia is like "Fuck my life." Anyway, he
decides to move to the Court to find out what really happened, and
to fulfill his duty. He has no idea about anything,
he knows nothing, and he'll have to start making friends asap in order to
survive the place. This book THE GOBLIN EMPEROR belongs to
a subgenre whose existence I knew about recently, named "mannerpunk."
Now they put a "punk" at the end of everything. Mannerpunk is
a story not focused in violence, wars or battles,
but in the subtleties of the life in the court. "Manner" means "manners, politeness"
in English.
You must read this novel between the lines. You have to look not only
in what the characters say, but in the pronouns they use, their tone
and the circumstances; because they might be saluting someone
most respectfully, or they might be telling them "Your father is
an acorn-nuzzling swine."
If you're the kind of reader that has no trouble to follow all the
names, made-up words, and nobility titles inside a novel,
THE GOBLIN EMPEROR is a great choice. By the way, this is of great help.
Here at the end of the book... I recommend you to read it asap, before
you even start the novel. (Be careful not to read the last page of the story
to avoid spoilers) Do you see it here? I'll put my hand over it
so you can't see anything. Here, "Traveler's Guide
Through the Elflands." Here they explain the meaning
of every pronoun used in this story. After that, there is a list of people,
places, things and gods. While reading, you will encounter names like
Csethiro, Csoru, Chenelo, and you'll think "Who the hell is that?" or
they come and say "So there was Emperor Varevasena, Emperor Varenechibel
and Emperor Edrehasivar IV" and you're like "WTF are you talking about?"
In case your memory fails or you get confused, you can run to the end of the book
and check on this list
so you can keep track of everything. It's a gorgeous book.
Now I understand why it won awards in USA and why its fanbase is so devoted.
It's amazing, I fell in love with Maia
and many of the secondary characters. Everyone here has something that makes them special,
so if you're looking for something new, a Steampunk vibe far from
the overused Western-Victorian; with elves,
goblins, political intrigue, and backstabbing...
Backstabbing, eh? SUBTLETY. Okay, I strongly recommend
THE GOBLIN EMPEROR by Katherine Addison.
Totally worth a read. You can find it in every bookshop.
I went to (a famous mall) here in Granada
and I found THE GOBLIN EMPEROR at the very front of a bookshelf, right
besides "A Wise Man's Fear" and "The Name of the Wind," both by
Patrick Rothfuss, and I though "Oh my God, this is awesome!" Okay, I didn't write the book,
but I made the cover, and it's always been a dream of my childhood and youth
to go to a bookshop and see a book with my cover at the
very front shelf, you know? It makes me so happy and proud. Okay, this was
today's video. Thank you so much for watching me once more and see you next time!
Bye-Bye :D

Braised bitter gourd with chicken - How to cook in 4 simple steps - Duration: 8:06.
Braised bitter gourd with chicken is a classic home-cooked dish hugely favorite among the
Chinese households in Malaysia.
The bitter notes from the bitter gourd blended seamlessly with the tender chicken after absorbed
the abundance of the bean sauce.
You can make it at home with only a few simple steps.
Let's dive in and take a look at how to prepare the braised bitter gourd with chicken, cooked
with the bean paste.
Step 1: Marinade the chicken
Cut the chicken into small pieces, bone-in.
The bone will release additional flavor while braising which is the plus point of keeping
the bone on.
We use the reasonably standard marinade formula, nothing fancy.
We have, soy sauce, ground white pepper, Shaoxing wine, and cornflour, and that is all you need.
Marinate for at least half an hour should be sufficient for the small chicken chunks.
Keep it in the refrigerator is preferred to keep it fresh.
Step 2: Cut and blanch the bitter gourd
Remove both ends of the bitter gourd.
Cut it crosswise into four to five cm sections.
Cut it lengthwise into two.
Remove the seeds and pith.
I use a stainless steel spoon, which is a very efficient.
Cut the bitter gourd into julienne.
Place it in a bowl and add a large teaspoon of salt.
Combine well and let it sits for ten minutes.
Bring a pot of water to a boil.
Place the bitter gourd in the water and blanch for 2 minutes.
After 2 minutes, drained.
Step 3: Prepare the seasoning and the aromatics.
Cut the ginger into thin slices.
Get a tablespoon of minced garlic.
The seasoning consists of two main ingredients- yellow bean paste and black bean paste.
This is yellow bean paste, and this is black bean paste.
The preparation of the braising liquid is simple.
Just add the oyster sauce, light soy sauce, ground white pepper, some cornstarch and some
water.
Step 4: Braise the chicken and bitter gourd
Pan-frying the chicken with some oil in the wok/saucepan until both sides turn slightly
brown.
Saute the garlic and ginger until they turn aromatic.
Keep the heat low as garlic can burn quickly,
Add the yellow bean paste and black bean paste.
Saute until it turns aromatic.
Add the bitter gourd.
Stir-fry until the bean pastes coats the surface of the bitter gourd.
Add the chicken and the braising sauce.
Braise over low heat for about twenty minutes.
After twenty minutes, the bitter gourd should have turned soft.
I suggest the minimum braising time should be twenty minutes so that there is sufficient
time for the seasoning to absorb into the chicken.
Add some hot water if the braise starts to get dry.
Do a taste test.
Some gourds are more bitter than the others.
You can add some sugar at this point, or more bean paste if it is not savory enough
Reduce the liquid to a thick sauce, not watery.
It will turn shiny and adhere to the chicken and the bitter gourds.
Now it is ready to serve, best together with steamed rice.
This is how I prepare the Chinese braised bitter gourd and chicken cooked with bean
paste.

Calligraphy fonts - Duration: 4:01.
How beautiful it is to sell the goods you are looking for on Etsy (because you don't have to strain yourself - customers will find you)! To find out what product you are looking for, just send one or more letters to the Etsy search box and see a set of popular search queries. Choose any. I chose "calligraphy font" - because I never thought That similar fonts are necessary to someone. It turns out needed. Apparently, it is they who make craftsmen make different inscriptions on bags, pillows, boards, paper - to congratulate someone on the holiday. For example, to congratulate the teacher with a large postcard (which he can put on the table or hang on the wall). Despite the abundance of existing fonts, craftsmen persistently look for new fonts to make their creations even more unique. That is why, having come to this market even today, you will find your buyers. One small Dutch company came to Etsy with its own set of fonts just a year ago, and already made more than 13 thousand sales (its store is etsy.com/shop/littlebigcrafter). She sells fonts. Notice how beautifully the font names sound and how beautifully they serve. The seller even shows how his fonts will look on the finished handicrafts. In general, it is surprising how Western people are passionate about calligraphy. It seems that they are still writing letters to each other, drawing them out with pen on paper. One Englishwoman, through Etsy, offers to sign up for her calligraphy courses, which she conducts in her city of Bath (83,000 inhabitants). Other entrepreneurs are actively selling their calligraphy textbooks through the mail. You can sell not only paper, but also electronic tutorials - in the form of files. These four electronic pdf-files (which can be printed in 4 lined pages) are sold for 9.44 dollars (in the etsy.com/shop/PrintableWisdom store). By the way, the owner of the above shop sells not only textbooks on calligraphy, but also draws posters with her fonts and sells them both electronically and and in paper form. And she is one of the best-selling entrepreneurs on Etsy (over 5 years she has more than 65 thousand sales). I do not know about you, but it seems to me that learning to write beautifully is much easier than drawing. So if you can master this area (based on the Latin alphabet) - welcome to Etsy!

8 Surprisingly CHEAP things in France! - Duration: 9:27.
Salut YouTube how are you guys going I hope everyone out there is doing well.
As you guys can probably tell looking behind me
it's getting pretty wintery here in Paris it's in the middle of Sunday
afternoon right now and it's already very dark and very grey outside. Today I
wanted to have a chat about things that I've found surprisingly cheap in France
and of course I'm not talking about $2 Thai Street food cheap but as I'm living
in Paris in a big city and a very developed wealthy kind of expensive
country and compared to maybe London New York other big cities I've
been to I find this stuff incredibly cheap even in comparison to New Zealand actually.
So the first thing that I find pretty cheap very reasonable at least in
Paris and in France in general is the cost of transportation so public
transport. So in Paris we get around using the famous Navigo card and this
Navigo card will set you back 75 euros per month okay maybe it's quite a lot of
money compared to where you're from but we get unlimited transport on all metros
all buses from zones 1 to 5 of the city so we can get all the way out to the
airports using this card and don't have to buy extra expensive special tickets
to get to the airport which is really handy and if you're working for a
company in France they actually legally have to pay for half of this card for
you so I personally only pay around 35 euros per month for unlimited transport
all around the city. Then every big city seems to be really well equipped with
trams with buses sometimes with metro lines underground lines like in Lyon for
example so overall I find it's really well equipped also every major city has
a bike hire system or electric scooter hire system as well, super cheap, we're
talking like 19 euros per year for an annual subscription to this kind of
service obviously it's so much cheaper for me to live in Paris
to use public transportation then it would be to live in Wellington and on a
car and having to pay for the registration fees having to pay for the
petrol, repairs, maintenance, you name it. Now the next one is maybe a little bit
controversial and I'll tell you why in a little bit but I find the health care
incredibly cheap in France I don't think anyone can argue with that
of course it's controversial because most French people tell me yeah but we
pay for that and that's absolutely true we do. Personally I feel that we do pay
quite high taxes in France compared to what I'm used to
however look what you get for it basically the state Social Security
covers all emergency care most doctors dental visits all of that kind
of stuff you're usually reimbursed up to like 80-90% percent if not a 100%
in the majority of cases. Now in certain situations for example if you
need new reading glasses you may only get a certain amount of money to spend
you know you're reimbursed up to 200 euros or this kind of thing and if you
want more advantageous policies and if you would like to top that up and make
sure that you're covered up to 100% whenever you go to the doctor whenever
you go to the dentists that kind of thing
you take of course a private health insurance now I find this private health
insurance incredibly cheap it depends on which company you work for if you're
working because they do negotiate deals with the insurance providers but I
personally pay 25 euros per month for my private health insurance what this means
is that I have up to 600 euros to spend on new glasses and frames for example
I've never paid for a dentist a doctor if you get referred to specialists for
example dermatologists gynecologists this kind of thing fully reimbursed.
My partner on the other hand pays more like 45 euros per month because he's in
a different company so it does depend, or his mother who's retired she actually
pays 80 euros per month she's not working she's retired and she pays more
money than we do for her private health insurance however in the grand scheme of
things 80 euros per month I think is very very reasonable for
private health insurance and to know that no matter what happens to you
especially if you're an emergency situation if you get a long-term illness
this kind of thing you're so so well covered in France. The next thing I find
super cheap in France is a gym membership. So gyms here are very cheap compared to what I'm
personally used to. The kind of entry-level gym in Paris so you've got
sites all over Paris city centre is Neoness and we're talking about 25 euros
per month to both access the gym and go to all of the group fitness courses so
you know you've got like all of the Les Mills courses Body Pump you've got
boxing you've got Pilates you've got yoga you've got all of that kind of
thing for around 25 euros per month. In New Zealand would be paying about the
equivalent of probably almost yeah 15-20 euros per week for the same service.
The next one isn't really good for the planet but it's extremely cheap its
bottled water in France so you can literally get six big bottles
so maybe 1.5 litre bottles of water in a pack for 2.30 in the supermarket
you can buy bottled water big bottles like this you know 1.5-2 litres for 80 cents
it's incredibly cheap and I'm not sure why of course this isn't the case if you
buy it in for example a train station or a cafeteria you'll end up paying 2 3
euros for a bottle of water so always go to the supermarket but once you hit the
supermarket to get sparkling water, bottled water it's incredibly cheap.
Another thing that I find super cheap and this is probably you know just
completely normal all across Europe, but if I have any Australians New Zealanders
watching, it's phone and Internet. So to give you guys an idea we have a
landline phone from which I can make unlimited calls for free all across
France and the world to other landlines so I call New Zealand for free no problem
whatsoever plus our high-speed internet plus my mobile phone on which I get 15
gigabytes of data per month free calls, texts, unlimited whole
package, we pay about 40 euros per month - that is super cheap. In New
Zealand we haven't even figured out unlimited internet on cell phones yet we
just don't have the competition I think we've got a few companies that kind of
monopolize the whole industry and so they can basically charge what they want.
Another thing that is super cheap in France is the education so of course
sending your kids to school primary school high school is free I think
that's the same in most developed countries correct me if I'm wrong
however it's when you get to university where it gets interesting
so public universities we're talking like 400 to 600 euros per year to attend
university that's it and most of the time those fees include your social
security for students so again your health coverage and you've got some
enrollment fees that kind of stuff but it's not actually funding the education
itself which is why it's so cheap. In New Zealand the average university year
costs more around four or five thousand euros per year more like the UK so to
speak. The next thing that I find super cheap is the electricity because France
has so much nuclear electricity it definitely brings the price down
compared to what I'm used to in New Zealand they have 90 percent renewable
electricity sources so it's maybe you know better for the planet but we
definitely pay for it and in France I think you know given I'm in a
one-bedroom apartment in Paris so it's not the biggest possible space to heat
but our electricity bill averages around 40 to 50 euros per month when we were in
our small studio it was around 25 euros per month so there's both the
electricity itself and the fact that over here it's just a different
mentality when it comes to electricity it's extremely rare to come across a
tumble dryer in France for example tumble drying your clothes is generally
avoided, it if it's cold you put on more clothes, you don't
have the heat pump absolutely cranking and this kind of thing
so I think there is a mentality thing and the price of electricity which just
keeps the cost very very low. Another thing that's notoriously cheap in France
which kind of makes sense you know supply demand is the wine
apparently French wine is incredibly cheap I feel maybe like six euros per
bottle something like that for a good one and I'm seeing apparently and I
don't know what I'm talking about really because I don't actually drink alcohol
but all my friends and family who've visited like oh it's so cheap the
alcohol here so that's a bonus. So that's what I had on my list today for the
surprisingly cheap things in France if you guys want me to do a video on the
surprisingly expensive things in France I'm more than happy to do that as well
let me know if you'd be king for that video down below and if you haven't done
so already please think about giving this video a thumbs up and subscribing
to my channel if you aren't already I'd love to have you part of the
community I release new videos every single Wednesday so that's it for this
time guys I will see you guys next week in another instalment of Not Even
French and until then I'll say bisous and à bientôt!

OK SO TOKYO HAS A COUNTRYSIDE TOO? 首都圏にも田舎があるんだね! - Duration: 10:14.
- [Micaela] Tokyo.
It is one of the ten most populated cities
in the entire world.
Streets are constantly buzzing,
people are always on the move,
and there's hardly a moment of silence
in between the chaos.
But did you know that the Greater Tokyo Area
is comprised of the seven surrounding prefectures as well?
It's true that Tokyo Metropolis is an exciting place to be,
but an hour away in any direction
will bring you to wide open spaces, fresh air,
small communities and old-fashioned towns
that are still largely untouched by tourism.
Today weʼre going to take a laid-back look
at some of the scenery that lies
one step beyond Tokyo as we think we know it.
(typewriter clicking)
- [Micaela] Hey guys, how's it going, it's Micaela,
and I'm currently on a four day trip
exploring the the Greater Tokyo Region.
These are the suburbs of Tokyo
that tourists don't normally come to,
so it's pretty interesting to get out here
and see what it's actually like.
So, day one we're here in Tsuru City in Yamanashi Prefecture
and it's a small town near the foot of Mount Fuji.
The really defining thing about this area
is the natural spring water
that it sources from Mount Fuji itself.
They're these gorgeous waterfalls
and crystal clear rivers flowing throughout the city.
(water flowing) (grooving music)
(water rushing)
We're catching a beautiful sunset tonight.
After an overcast day,
it's nice to see some color in the sky, it's so gorgeous.
We've got this giant waterfall right here too.
(sighs) Fresh air, beautiful scenery.
(typewriter clicking)
I love little farming towns like this.
So we're on a very bumpy dirt road
and we are heading into the mountains
here in Otsuki City. - Yes.
- We're going to have lunch.
- Great. - At a Yakuzen place,
like a medicinal, herbal lunch, and I'm really excited.
We have gone deep into the forest.
- [Norm] Yeah.
- [Micaela] And this is like a bumpy dirt road,
and it's so,
what's the word?
It's like narrow. - It's a pretty wild ride.
- Yeah. - It's pretty wild.
- [Micaela] This is a place that you would never
think to come to on your own. - No.
I would stop driving.
- Yeah. - Way down there.
- I wouldn't be brave enough to
try to find this place - No.
- without a tour guide.
So I'm really glad that we're getting brought out here.
- [Kim] Yeah.
(dog barking)
("Guessing Game" by Justnormal)
- So, this is Yakuzen-Ryouri.
It's medicinal food that
according to today's menu is based on the Libra horoscope,
which is very interesting.
And it's supposed to have medicinal properties
that are good for like your back and your liver, and,
stuff like that. - All in general.
- Yeah, probably in general.
- Yeah. - This is probably
the healthiest meal I've had in awhile,
but I actually, I love stuff like this.
I love food. - I don't think I've ever
had a meal this healthy.
- Really? - At like, ever.
This will be new experience
all in it's own. - You're gonna be
a brand new man.
- Here we go. - You're gonna walk out
of here 10 years younger.
- I'm about to eat a vegetable.
(group chuckles)
- [Man] Don't do it.
- These are real things that are happening.
(Micaela laughs)
- From what I can see,
Otsuki City is a very traditional town,
which quietly reflects on days gone by.
Itʼs attractions are mainly the outdoor type
with hiking trails, mountains, and rivers,
with a few historical monuments scattered around as well.
("Pullen Park" by Sarah, the Illstrumentalist)
So, now we're heading down to Saruhashi Bridge,
Monkey Bridge.
And it's one of the spots
that I've been looking forward to most
during this trip to Otsuki City,
just because it looks to be like
one of the more photogenic spots here in the area.
So, we're gonna see if we can get down on the river.
This water, oh, my God, the color is just gorgeous.
I love stuff like this.
I love vibrant, natural colors. (laughs)
(water rushing)
I hope I don't fall.
(camera shutter clicking)
So, we've left Yamanashi Prefecture,
we've entered Kanagawa,
and now we are driving through this winding, twisting road
in Fujino Art Sanctuary where
you can actually pass multiple art sculptures
and things, on the way.
It's kind of interesting.
If you like art.
("Teenage Lullaby" by Ooyy)
So, another thing that Sagamihara is famous for
is the JAXA,
space exploration campus.
Lots of displays here where you can learn about
things that Japan is doing
to move forward in space exploration.
Kim thought this was a missile.
(both laughing)
It's a rocket.
- It's a rocket.
They look the same, okay?
And I'm tired, so. - I understand, they do,
they do look the same.
They look, I don't know.
One of the things I love recommending to people
when they visit space exhibitions, is to try the space food.
In Japan you can find flavors like takoyaki or mochi,
and ice cream, and even canned bread.
- (laughs) I'm kinda nervous
about this one. - Yeah.
Well done. - That's literally
can-shaped bread. - Yeah.
- Oh no. - Into the can.
Ooh, okay.
Well, I'm just gonna break off a little bit
and try it. - Yeah.
- I mean...
(laughs)
- [Micaela] Itʼs definitely an experience.
Just one hour from Central Tokyo is the Akikawa Valley,
one of the closest natural retreats to Tokyo Metropolis.
Autumn is the perfect time to visit,
especially if youʼre a fan of hot springs.
Whoa, you guys.
It has been an incredibly long day
and I'm feeling wrecked, and like,
I know that I don't look that cute right now,
and I don't really wanna be on camera,
but I want you to see how excited I am for this room.
I have not had cottage,
like an actual legit cottage,
like this in Japan, ever.
(gasps) I have a kitchen?
You serious, how do I turn it on?
How do I turn on the kitchen?
I have a kitchen.
I have a kitchen.
Whoa.
Whoa.
Oh, my God.
Oh, wow, this is beautiful.
And so spacious, you don't get spacious rooms like this
in the city anywhere in Japan.
This is the type of stuff
you gotta come out to the countryside for.
All right guys, it's about 10 p.m. at night.
Dead quiet, we're in the middle of of the mountains,
it's like, you can hear the river.
- Yeah. - The running water.
- It's beautiful. - And that's about it.
And we're all dressed up in our--
- What would you call this?
- Onsen attire, I guess. - Onsen attire, yeah.
- [Micaela] Yeah, I got changed too.
There's a public foot bath out here
where you can just come and warm your feet.
You don't have any tattoos do you?
I don't think you do.
- [Kim] Me? No.
- [Micaela] You don't have any diapers either? (laughs)
- [Kim] Um, I mean.
(both laughing)
- [Micaela] Diapers and tattoos aren't allowed, so,
sorry Kim.
- Sorry, I'll take my diapers off.
(both laughing)
Hi.
- So, it's been three days,
and we've been traveling around the suburbs of Tokyo,
and like, Yamanashi and Kanagawa,
exploring the countryside out here.
And it's nice that,
for all the busyness that happens in Tokoyo City,
in Central Tokyo.
Just a few hours away, you can come out
and have a really relaxing experience just like this.
- [Kim] I actually didn't think that there would be
one step like this around Tokyo,
because I've been to a few before
but they were really busy and touristy.
This town, it's kinda out of the way,
but it's really amazing.
- And like the cabins that we're staying in
are really nice too.
It's crazy, I think this is the kinda place
I'd wanna bring a bunch of friends out too
on the weekend.
Good morning, so we are here in Hachioji City this morning,
and we've gotten up really early.
We're at the 599 Takao Museum.
We're waiting to get everybody together,
and then we're gonna head up mountain.
- Takao. - Takao.
- Takao. - Takao, Takao.
- Takao. - Did you talk about
how popular it is?
- No. - It's like one of the most
climbed mountains, like,
in the world. - Oh, yeah, they did say that.
- I think that, well that was going off
what the tour guide said. - Yeah.
Every year roughly 2.5 million people visit Mount Takao.
To reach the top,
you can either challenge one of the eight hiking courses,
or you can take the cable car,
which has the steepest incline in all of Japan,
and it's actually quite thrilling.
("Tommy" by Homebody)
Out of all the places weʼve visited,
this is definitely the most touristy,
but itʼs also the most accessible,
and you donʼt even have to be a avid hiker to enjoy it.
We're all, we're just eating,
we're eating our way up the mountain.
- I mean, we can eat,
and then walk and burn some calories
and eat some more, right?
- True.
On clear days,
this mountain becomes a very popular lookout spot.
From the very top viewpoint,
you can see all of Central Tokyo,
as well as Mount Fuji in the distance, if youʼre lucky.
Tokyo is one of the biggest cities in the world,
but if youʼre feeling a little suffocated,
you donʼt have to travel too far to take a break.
Donʼt be afraid to spread out and explore,
whether youʼre into hiking, eating, relaxing,
or just wandering somewhere new,
adventure is just a short train ride away.
Thank so much for watching.
I hope you enjoyed this video.
Donʼt forget to subscribe

LeBron, PG13 Were To Be Lakers Teammates, PG13 Backed Out | Heavy.com
LeBron James and Paul George were supposed to be Los Angeles Lakers teammates this summer, Paul George changed his mind in the 25th hour.
I discussed it on ESPN 97.
3 back in the summer with DaShawn Hendricks & Josh Henning.
This summer LeBron James and Paul George were both NBA free agents.
James joined the Lakers and George, well…he was supposed to also be a Laker, but he didnt…he stayed with what was familiar and joined Russell Westbrook and joined the Oklahoma City Thunder.
I also discussed it on the Causeway Street Podcast.
Yes. That is true.
Paul George did verbally agree and backed out.
Got the call day after LeBron's Klutch Agency confirmed LeBron/Lakers.
Been saying it since July.
Hello and welcome to my world.
https://t.co/WgofRVtoK8 — Brandon Robinson (@ScoopB) October 26, 2018 .
It was widely believed at least by the internet last summer that George, a Palmdale, California native would join James and the Lakers in the offseason.

Kawhi Leonard was also rumored to be headed to the Lakers.
Now a member of the Toronto Raptors, it is believed that Leonard was forcing the San Antonio Spurs' hand to trade him to the purple and gold.

I have always danced.
[Irène Goude – 1982] "When he was three, he was dancing... and to jazz!"
I have always drawn.
Danced, drawn, danced, taken pictures,
danced, taken pictures of dance,
drawn, taken pictures and cut them up.
I painted my dance photos.
Cut them up, cut them up,
cut them up, cut them up, cut them up.
Filmed dance, set up dance shows
that had been drawn beforehand...
Until CHANEL, its culture,
its values came to me and encouraged me
to almost always take dance
as a factor of my work.
"Where are you? Show yourself, wretch!
Beware my wrath, I will be relentless."
Ever since, I have done what I have always done:
danced, danced and drawn.

【HIGH CALORIES】 Lawson Store 100 [Devil's Rice Ball & Devil Rice] DEVILISH & TASTY!! [5000kcal] - Duration: 10:01.
Hello it's Kinoshita Yuka ( English subtitles by ~Aphexx~ )
So today tadaa! I bought these from lawson store 100 10 devil's balls and...
4 Hell's rice bowls
These rice balls over here where released in september and since their release they've sold over 200000
ain't that amazing I don't even think that I can eat that much
Since they were selling so many of these every week
They decided to sell a different take on this rice ball over here
They're made of the same Devil's recipe
And one of these packs contains over 400 grams
they packed quite a lot in it
these hell's packs also come with tempura bits and noodle sauce as well
it seems like they've taken the devil's balls to the next level with these here
I've never had a chance to sample these Devil's balls so I really look forward to trying them out
I'm dressed up just a bit today. I tried to show off my devilish side with this costume
alrighty lets dig in
K, I've plated them all
this is 4 packs of the hell's rice bowls
and here is the Devil's rice balls
I also have one kilogram of miso soup as well itadakimasu
lets just sample some of the Devil's rice balls first
these are the devils rice balls here
I've done a video on something like this before but that noodle sauce flavoring is out of this world
and I really love that perilla leaf herb flavor coming through
but since these are formed into balls it loses the crispy crunch from the tempura balls
its rather tasty though I love these devil's balls
the flavor goes right to the center of it
there ain't no beating miso soup and rice balls
next up, lets try out their brand new product here
First I will try them on their own
Since these are rice balls I didn't go and warm them up
but I did warm this up because its like a fried rice I think it really enhances the sweetness making things
taste a bit milder I def prefer it warmed up
and now its time for some toppings
I've got these tempura bits and noodle sauce
if I add too much things will get way too sticky
and now for the tempura bits
oh wait.... I shoulda put the sauce on after the tempura
it softens them up a bit making it better
plenty of tempura bits
the tempura bits lend a bit of crunchiness and its covered in extra noodle sauce goodness making it yummy
this stuff is way better with the addition of the tempura bits.... its also crunchier
hey waitaminute if I add all the sauce it won't really make much of a mess
since there is so much rice it can soak all of it up
I apologize for ranting a bit but...
I think I've been cursed by the devil
I know you might be saying "WTF are you talking about?"
I've been so unlucky lately
.... its what happened yesterday
I dropped my Iphone on a rocky surface
and it cracked the screen and I was like "I gone dun it now"
I've been wrestling with some issues with it for the last little while
and I've been wanting to replace it for quite some time...
And with this cracked screen I knew it was finally time to swap to a new phone
So I ordered a new one online ....isn't life amazing? we can get new phones without having to walk into a store
And so my new iPhone arrived and once I transfer things over to my new phone
I thought......THOUGHT that all the data would get transferred over
..... so I thought.....
I was so shook that I didn't have to back up my data or anything
I was like "omg apple is so ahead of the times"
and so I went ahead with it and well... most of my stuff got copied over to the new phone
but it was only the apps that I had installed in January
and I was like WTF and I looked at my SMS "LINE" it looked like the newer version of it but
all of my data and all of my old messages were all gone
so I tried to do the process all over again but I only was able to get all the data from January
all my new friends and all my messages since then were all lost ....
I went and checked the version of LINE I had on my pc and all of the data was there still
I was hoping that I could transfer all the data from my PC over to my new phone but and I did so much research into the matter but...
its impossible you can transfer data from the iphone over to the pc but
not from the pc to the phone.... "Yo LINE!!!! Wat up with that?"
and so I tried all sorts of things to get all my info and data back but...
I was able to get all the phone numbers back from my pc
but all my messages are gone from my phone ....
I dun goofed.... I should have backed everything up before transferring over
I went ahead and did things without a second thought and this is what happens when you do such things
I'm sorry for the long rant I'm such a sad panda right now
Y'all be careful out there back up your data
last onigiri
last mouthful itadakimasu
gochisosamadeshita
the devil's rice balls and hell's rice bowl was very tasty
it was so very tasty and it was so yummy that you devour it without a second thought to the calorie count
and that is why I think these are called the devil's rice balls
these are most def very tasty I'm shook at how tempura bits, noodle sauce and herbs
can make these taste so darn yummy its so very EZ to make but its so nice to be able to quickly
purchase them from a convenience store even though these are EZ to make I just WANNA buy them
so please go out and buy them from lawson's 100 stores
and watch out for the devil lurking around the corner he will curse you with bad luck
I was lulled by the devil to choose the easier path and not do my due diligence backing up my data
don't get lulled by the devil into doing things the EZ way
Everything was so yummy want you all please give this a try as well And as always thank you for watching if there's anything you want

Mosaic art project review: Mosaic mural at school | Educational | Mosaic tile art - Part 3/3 - Duration: 8:26.
This is educational video which is showing the end-to-end process on mosaic
art projects for people who want to make a good living by creating custom made no
mosaic project for clients so no fancy edits just experience. Now we're gonna
take a look on mistakes made on this work. We have during the workshop and
during the installation a lot of mistakes I saw again. And then we're
gonna take a look at managing the Finance and balance. I want to start with
mistakes during the workshop okay? And I think it's kind of important when you
work with ceramic tiles is this over here. You know. That's a tea as a letter
there's a letter. and then the mistake in here is quite visually. you know, when you
fill up this space with grout which is not white then you will have kind of
bamm and bamm you know. Here mmm you know seeing here that's our that
white tile is correct. you know. correct shape. but in here
that's a huge mistake. if you're gonna fill this with black or with anthracite
ow with gray or something you will have these terrible shapes. You know. and that
T this letter will get you know will not able to catch somehow with your eye.
It will destroy the solid view if you know what I mean. that is good see that's
correct yeah this tile is nice and that tile is good. here I'm not sure if you if
we have fill up this empty space I don't know. but this this thing is important.
you know, when you have something like straight going on in here situation then
this tile for the background let's say should be straight too. so that's a
mistake. but on this project a bigger mistake that I also remember is this one
here. it's definitely a misunderstanding between me and the client. it was not
written somewhere that you know. he told me that he want to have the letters like
a piece which will stand out from the whole thing. but in here it looks
terrible. that photos terrible too by the way okay.
but anyway. the same in here you see that? this it's totally a misunderstanding.
because we was told to create this in and you know an extra piece like not
belongs to that kind of. that's why it doesn't look good. it's seen that
artistic or something. it really doesn't look good.
same in here. you know we was told to create this and you know in different
pieces some stuff is not not clear. I see right now. you know. that looks good it's
like one piece in here it goes like that which is terrible it's a terrible idea.
it's it's like destroying the whole view kind of. so today I'm really make sure,
that everything is talked and it's written somewhere. okay something
interesting in terms of design is this. it looks like you know tiles was coming
and they just you know getting pieces and
to this it's really like suddenly the frog you know and blah blah. that's
something cool that's nice. but that's a huge mistake.
do we have another photo? no. ok this lines are terrible.
this is maybe acceptable here you know maybe but that thing you should know I
mean this curve anyway that's a huge mistake. but uh ok this is ok look when
you have the separator like to show her arm you know staying apart from the
whole thing like this. that's ok like that here that's a mistake. let's check
out managing finance and balance. how it worked on this project. I have to say it
was a nice client. he did everything that he promised. so it's says in here
this project the whole thing is 6 square meter it will take 20 days including the
installation. it's says like you know Brazilian styles what you saw the
kind of technique is huge are more tiles. it's says the tiles will, you know,
you are the one, that the client will bring the tiles so we don't have to buy
any. and it says except the tiles I was saying what we need to create the
mosaics all the cost belongs to our company and then about the balance
finally. it said after the ok we say here that's why I'm always saying also
talking about the location in the country because here in this county they
said if you say ok after the ok comes we will get 60% cash
as an advance payment. and after it said when we are done at your construction
area and if you are okay with it we're gonna take our you know we want to
have our balance. this is how it's written in here. and it said the chemical
that we use in your construction during the installation is from Weber Makem.
that's a brand. you know they have mortars and stuff. so why we need this
sixty percent you have to buy adhesives and a lot of stuff you know not
tiles for this project but you will have your transportation costs and if you
hire someone who's gonna work in that studio so it's also extra
cost and that's why you need this kind of a cash advance payment and it is also
important to ask for advance payment to make sure your client you know will not
change his mind to next day. because he paid something to you so with this
you're making sure that your project will continue. you can support the artist
if you think this video was helpful for you you can do this by buying goods
designed by the artist thinking

Mosaic art project review: Mosaic mural at school | Educational | Mosaic tile art - Part 2/3 - Duration: 12:22.
This is educational video which is showing the end-to-end process on mosaic
art projects for people who want to make a good living by creating custom made
mosaic e project for clients so no fancy edits just experience. The workshop
process. So we have the studio thing, we have the material and tools and
techniques used to create this kind of a mosaic project. Let's start with the
studio. So this was the studio, this was actually part of the studio this was the
showroom that's like the front desk where people come you know it sit and
you have some comfortable talk. And then this is the mirror by the way that I was
saying at the beginning you know tiles are falling off because it was glued
with silicone on a wooden substrate which is not a good idea. And here are
some samples in the studio in the front desk. This is all the stuff that I got
from, after you know the fair the decoration fair. I bought everything and
applied it on in the studio. So here is the space where you know, we goes
actually it has nothing to do with this topic right now but clients would sit as
first in here have some comfortable talk and a coffee and when it turns to
business then we go on to this area to you know. Here you can see catalogue you know.
It works and stuff and some empty frames quite quite interesting I don't know why
they're empty. And yeah and this is me I believe. So in here was the entrance
to the the workshop actually to the second part of the studio.
That was a studio now continue with the material and tools and techniques used
to create this work. And so here we have a part of the workshop not much to see.
You see this wood this desk or tables which I have made on my own. I just
brought this from Bauhaus and you know then you can create this kind of table
for for your workshop. You don't have to buy any it's quite easy. So the
material. That's another project we will come follow on that in another video.
So I see a lot of ceramic tiles which was given to us given to me.
Our contract was like the client was responsible to find ceramics. He said he
has a lot here and there and I said ok. So he brought all the
stuff all the ceramic tiles. These are regular wall tiles I believe. And you can
see mosaic mesh in here, and this painter plastic this nylon ok? You see like I said
in the design this tiles are staying up a bit more because these are very thick
tiles like 2 centimeter not 2 but more than 1. 1.5 or 1.6. And these are bit tinny,
the thickness is not that much. It gives kind of effect like the frock is staying
out a bit. And this is it sweet little girly here. And yeah other material I
can't see any. Here another picture of it. Here we have again other ceramic tiles
and different colors. Remember this from the design that I've made? Here's some
corrections I don't know why I'm drawing this on the tile. I've no clue. You can
see the gaps are quite huge okay. Because the
client wants to have this kind of a gap. Then you're gonna create it this way
like he wants to you know. So here okay we talked about this later on. Here you can see,
the boys the boys bathroom thing okay.
Here are another heart and stuff is for the girls for the girls bathroom. Another
closer look. You can see the drawing below and the painters plastic this nylon and
the Mosaic mesh and the tiles. Something to notice in here, I did first the main,
the main thing and then that stuff around. You can see the lines in here. you see
that? Here the tiles are ready to go. This is I believe to cut that's a cutter and
that's what was a calling? And I forget it. We call it Schere in German. Its to cut the
mesh I believe. It's to resize the mesh. As you see that's a part of mesh and
here are other pieces of mesh. Here I see drawings and this chair stuff here was
also cool. That's for the girls bathroom. See meshes are cut it into size. Bigger
than the main mosaics you know. So you first do it like that and then you cut
off the stuff that you don't need. Like to see the mesh in here. That's so heart...
I'm looking for different material but there is any. One more check.
We have here glass mosaics I don't know why they're here. Okay yeah let's check out
the let's check out tools and techniques. Well not much techniques to show
actually. Not much tools to show for this kind of work. I can only show you this to
measure things you know. This is important. That's mosaic nipper a
ceramic mosaic nipper. By the way you can find all these tools on Amazon I have a
shop over there. You can find the link in the description below. And here I
see a pen or pencil. And that thing is a PVA glue it's water-based adhesive. Don't
use silicon and stuff. You can see the gaps again, quite huge and that's a big.
You know piece of mosaic mesh cuz if that stuff is very huge you know in size
then you created once in one in one piece and then start to cut by using a
cutter and give them numbers and stuff to have a easy installation. Okay let's
take a look at the installation process. Well what I can show you, because there
ain't any photos during the installation unfortunately. I was not aware as I told
that last video about making photos and having having some evidence to show
maybe later on like on today. Well but I can say this is the boys bathroom. This
is how it was looking how it looks like before we made the installation.
And this was the girls bathroom. The kids. I don't know who this guy here is?
Looks quite, hmm... he's like... Mosaic? what is that? whatever. So this was actually construction area. Girls
bathroom and this was the kids the boys bathroom. So the final look. No photos
during installation unfortunately but. Okay the terrible photo, quite after the
installation. I can see the grout is not clean yet. See all the dirt in here?
That is anthracite by the way and that's gray. I mean the grout color. And you see
here's some, we're gonna talk about this in a few minutes. This is the boys
bathroom it looks to me very funny and you know not bad. Could be nicer but you
are you know, you have to listen to your client, there is no choice for you
sometimes, you know. You can't even say why don't we make it like that ? because some
clients they don't want to listen to you. Here are some different tiles, as you can
see some with dots or something. These are regular white tiles. and you see quite
a whole gap big gaps you know. That's the girls bathroom again with hearts and
everything. And there are tiles with some pink dots you know. And some some regular white
tiles and it once again. Very huge gaps between you know the joints are quite
big. Here is another photo quite after the installation after the grouting. That
photos terribleÇ I'm sorry for that. Very low quality. I remember what happened in here,
we're gonna talk about this definitely. Looks very amateur you know. That's the boys
bathroom again. the girls bathroom again. what are this brown...?
of this for electricity. It looks funny. Once again what is written in here?
Suddenly the Frog turned to be prince I believe kings and queen king and queen.
It was all ordered by the the place owner. Okay. You can support artists if
you think this video was helpful for you you can do this by buying goods designed
by the artist thinking
