Hello everyone, this is 13N.
We are test riding Aprilia RSV4 RF today
It's my session now. Gotta hurry so I don't miss it
start
This V4 engine
This seat is high, very high
I am on my tiptoe
the rear set is also very high
After all, this one is
a true race machine
Ok, the current setting is in Race Mode.
With Traction Control Level 3
That is what they have set for us
I can adjust it myself, but they prefer having traction control on
Of course, I have it on
I am actually a blank piece of paper when it comes to riding this bike
I have not ridden any other high end liter bikes
like this one
Turn in is so easy. alright, entering the track from outside lane
let's do a few laps and see
they said the brake is really powerful
Brembo M50 Monoblock
Compared to prevoius version, which was the M430. this is M50
Unfortunately, I have not ridden any bike with the previous M430, so I can't really compare them
Wow this turn in
it also has auto blip, quick shifter
Upshift
Downshift as well
yup, just keep pressing for downshifts
Fitted with Supercorsa SP tires
This is the RF version
highest spec of RSV4
I think it's around $24,000 USdollar
Very expensive bike
The throttle is very delicate
Listen to the blip and downshift
wow...this brake
I mentioned that I have no prior experience with this type of machine what so ever
never ridden such a high specification, fully electronically controlled liter bike
So I am afraid I will be spoiled.
I'd be biased if I ride any other liter bike
Its power output is very linear, oh my god.
I don't even need to keep it at high rev
I can just stay around mid to top
and it's very smooth and consistent
you don't have to keep it at the edge to ride it
There are oil stains on the ground, be careful
Haha
its Anti Wheelie Control
to prevent accidentally wheelie
helped keeping the front down
you can adjust the bike frame
its chassis is adjustable
which also allow seat height adjustment I believe
Ok, S1000RR in the front
actually, I don't need to use clutch at all for downshift
it's a habit since I was just riding my street triple
The feel of this brake. Oh god
How can I describe this feeling?
If you are already used to riding such high end liter bikes
then I am sorry
I can't give you much feedback
Because I have not ridden other new liter bikes
I don't even ride a liter bike myself
I could only offer my first ride experience
that's an R1
ok. downshift, let's use quickshifter
Want to pass this guy...but
not my own bike, it's a demo ride
ouch, piece of shredded tire just hit me
racers are so fast (today is race practice day, so the group is mixed with racer and track day riders)
this bike has
cornering ABS
Latest Bosch
9.1
not planning to test it though...hahaha
This beep (downshift)
Super nice
Ok, session ended
what? it's over?
Ok, ok, with this
liter bike
I have forgotten the actual weight
Actually I know that this is lighter
than ZX-6R 636
if this is lighter than a 600 class bike
impreesive
This RF version has a forged aluminum wheels
If it is RR, I remember it is a regular cast aluminum
Of course, his biggest difference is its...
what a sound
Ohlins suspension. NIX in the front. TTX shock with reservoir at the back
but
I don't have enough experience to properly describe how it feels
I can only tell you, really
It's about a hundred times better than I imagined.
Ohlins Steering Damper here
when I rididng
I find it very helpful. Could use a few more clicks to increase resistance though
God
has it ended? !
A blink of an eye
20 minutes passed
can't believe it
Holy shit
Oh my god...
did you hear that?
speechless
Oh, yes. the traction control
you can switch on the fly
you can change mode here. see on the left
other bike might require you to stop or slow down
but to switch race, track modes
you need to do it on the right
can only be done when letting go of gas
I am now in Race Mode
I guess you really get what you pay for...such delicate machine
Not sure when I can fully handle this type of motorcycle
actually, put it this one. I don't think I'll ever
master a liter bike like this
but if it's just riding for fun. feels great!
really really impressed
Holy Sh*t
If I get a chance to ride other superbikes
I can use this as benchmark. is it fair though?
this is the RF. highest spec.
Other Aprilia
look at him. he is much taller than Iam
yet he still needs to tip toe
now you know how tall this bike is
This V4 engine
Panigale is now with V4, this is V4.
back then VFR is V4
but they are not sportbikes anymore
look at this fin. so cool
you are really flying on the ground
even looks kind of like a fighter jet
the rear sets, turns, leverage
are so much easier than my street triple
This is the RR version
the differences are in the front here. not ohlins
uses Sachs. rear is Sachs as well
the wheels here are not forged
that's where the price differs
oh, the RF has this connection module
in the dashboard where you can connect to your phone
RF version gets complete riding record
so you can track how you ride
it's about 4~5000 US dollar difference
Okay
Just done riding the Aprilia
On the track
it's really night and day riding a sportbike on the track
especially one that's born for the track
That sense of stability
I came in with zero superbike experience
After riding the highest specification RSV4
if there are other test rides
for sportbike or liter bikes
I'd unconsciously compare them with this Aprilia
not fair though. RF is the highest specification after all.
I know a lot of people ask me
why I don't test ride sportbikes
well, I rode... actually excluding small bikes
The only sportbike test ride I did last time was Yamaha R6.
The main reason is
well... last time when I rode the R6
the demo ride was just circling around the neighborhood.
you can't really test the bike
but under a closed course condition like this
it's awesome. you can really test it
KTM....eh?
Oops, what is it called? Crossbow, right?
The one behind should be Formula 3 (F3)
Sonoma Raceway
considered as a more luxury race track
Red Bull, Ferrari
Inside the garage
all high end sports car
All in all, I was waiting for this type of opportunity.
where I can really test ride the sportbike
and get a feel of its performance. feels awesome
alright, that's it for the test ride
if you like my video, give me a thumb up and you are welcome to subscribe
I'll see what other test ride events there are
so I can share with you guys
See you next time. Thanks folks!
