All the material list I will leave in the description of the video ok
I'm going to draw on the back of the eva a dry twig tree I'll leave the mold also in the description
Next I'll trim
Using a brush I'm going to pass the cascorez glue then I'll paste it into the mdf
now i will teach you to make these mini petals with dvd this dvd has already been opened as you can see it is well malleable
cut you will hardly move scissors
you will move more is the dvd for you to quickly form this petals and will end
How is she showing you the video here?
She will stay like this
Now using a very small strip of EVA I'm going to cut some very small boxes like this one
I'm going to stick this part of this little flower here.
in this video today I'm going to use only the cascorez glue
and you'll stick it that way as soon as I'm showing you
Ok, let's go to the next part.
now using the number zero brush
and this ink in black color
I'm going to shade this tree
Detail people look at this pincélio mine is looking like a hook but I'm going to do that work here for you guys anyway
is that I had forgotten to put it soaking in the water so I did my last job and look at what it gave
but let's go there any questions leave in the comments
Also comment if you liked this video
and if you are not registered sign up here on the channel and activate the bell to receive the notifications
and now I'm going to use these two 3D glues in this color remembering that the color is also at your discretion
If you do not want to use it, you do not have any problem
Now using a pen you will put a piece of EVA on top of that tree
then it will mark with the pen and will make the cut
I'll use 3d glue in black to be able to make all the markings
Remembering you can replace with black ink
Unintentionally I ended up excluding the video in which I taught to make the kitten plus his mold will be in the description of the video
then you just go over to the EVA then cut and paste on the mdf
I just spread it with the little brush
making this move then I made with that bigger brush and please people do not ask me also of the eyes that cat because
to my point of view he is looking at the moon so he has his back facing us
and now let's make the famous little bird that I think we all learned in our childhood
I ended up spreading with the brush doing the same movement I just taught you in the beginning today I want to point out to you
the canal pearl max crafts also invite you to know the channel of the Porphyry karina and the channel
beauties of life and arts the link of these channels will be in the description of the video
God bless everyone stay with God on Friday, I'll be back

JOHN HOWARD WARNED YOU ABOUT CHINA!!! STAY VIGILANT AUSTRALIA - Duration: 7:32.
Australia is you know has
Striven over the last decade to build a very close relationship with China
but we've always done it against the background of being realistic about the nature of
Political society in that country we have no illusions that China remains
North or eternity in the country, but we always look at these things from a
practical standpoint we have no false illusions about the nature of
China's
Society I think you have to be very pragmatic with the Chinese. You've got to understand that they can be very clumsy diplomatically
They've got this silly habit
If they don't want you to see somebody they say so which means that you must see them
I mean heavens above you don't allow you don't only have Chinese to any government whether it's China or Britain or America
To tell us who we should give give visas to when you said
anybody is welcome to come and live in Australia as long as you can live by our rule and
If you feel you need to change them, you can just go back to where you came from now
this very common-sense approach was very widely publicized here as well and
What how do you feel in terms of Australian policy? This was then integrated?
The statement I made over a number of years really based on a simple proposition
And that is that Australia has been
very open
To people from all around the world when you come to Australia my philosophy was you become an Australian
I mean the Americans call at the melting pot
where you come from everywhere, and you will become part of
Part of the community now
That expect was not used when I don't know what expression you use any expression you like to describe it
But my mic my gear was simply this
that that will take people from anywhere providing they meet the criteria and we weight discriminate on the grounds of
Nationality or ethnicity or race or religion? But
We'll decide who comes and and we'll also decide
that
Determined that they live according to Australian law. I mean, I think this idea that you're gonna have a
Federation of cultures inside one country is not workable. He went through this
stage of
Apologizing. The West has got as apologized too much for its cultural and its values and what it really believes in my I think
That's damaging
And that relationship of course
Will be affected by the various leaders of those two countries now
I know it is fashionable and I understand the reasons for it
For people to be highly critical of the early months of the Trump presidency
and can I say in the context of
the relationship between
the United States and China
Which is so very important and I'll return to some of the reasons why it is important in a moment say in
relation to that bilateral
interaction
That I believe the manner in which the new administration has handled that relationship not least
the toning down of the more restrictive trade
pronouncements that were made by the president during his campaign and
also the manner in which I believe that he has engaged President Xi Jingping and
I think a highly satisfactory bilateral meeting that took place in the United States. I
believe that
The President of the United States has injected
some new elements into that bilateral relationship and everybody is aware of
China's enormous economic growth
Although it has to be remembered that on a per capita GDP
Basis even by the year
2030 China will only be half as wealthy as the United States and I
remember that
way back in
1995
When I was what you might call a newly rement opposition leader
I
Observed in a speech to Asia link
That amongst the many areas of concern
in our region
Were the South China Seas and the nuclear pretensions of North Korea?
now they are two things that haven't changed perhaps
indeed they've intensified
as the years have gone by
dangerous combination of all in a leader
A leader who?
events is a great deal of evil and
also a leader who demonstrates an
extraordinary amount of
Irresponsibility have to keep a sense of proportion
the levels of Chinese investment in Australia are nowhere near as popular legend has it and
We're indebted to the Department of Foreign Affairs some months ago of publishing configures that really did
Underline this point also worth observing on a more personal level
That in 1995 when I first spoke to you
Italian was the most widely spoken
foreign language in Australia, it is now Chinese and the people-to-people links between
Australia and China
are there for everyone to see and
Indeed are quite remarkable
But we would be very foolish if we took the success of the relationship for granted there are some fraying edges
there is obviously
on the part of the Chinese on occasion some
inability to understand
That there is an openness and a robustness and a free speech element of our society
which of course is not to be found in China and we have to
gently and appropriately remind the Chinese government of that and
the treatment of the of some Taiwanese
participants in a conference in Western, Australia
To which our foreign minister properly drew attention a short while ago is an example of that
We have to bear in mind that as China grows in power
Irrespective of her political system she must assume more and more responsibility

Donald Trump's Climate Change Rant Shows How Stupid He Really Is - Duration: 4:55.
Donald Trump loves to brag about how intelligent he truly is and a lot of his critics, you
know, maxine waters, Don Lemon, people like that.
Uh, he loves to talk about how low their IQs are.
But in reality, Donald Trump is a very stupid human being who does not have any intelligence
to speak of.
And he proved that once again this week during a short interview with the Washington Post.
I want to read you a couple of the things that Donald Trump said.
This is unedited on a bridge statements from Donald Trump about climate change.
Just to show you how stupid and incoherent this man truly is.
One of the problems that a lot of people like myself, we have very high levels of intelligence,
but we're not necessarily such believers.
That's when he was first asked about the climate assessment that his administration put out
last Friday, where we have very high levels of intelligence, but we're not necessarily
such believers.
Not sure what that means, but we're going to continue.
You look at our air and our water and it's right now at a record clean, but when you
look at China and you look at parts of Asia and when you look at South America and when
you look at many other places in this world, including Russia, including just many other
places, the areas incredibly dirty and when you're talking about an atmosphere, oceans
are very small and it blows over and it sails over.
I mean we take thousands of tons of garbage off our beaches all the time.
That comes from Asia.
It just flows right down the Pacific.
It flows and we say, where does this come from?
And it takes many people to start off with.
That's the end.
That's the end of that crazy.
I don't even know to see if I can call that a statement, but I mean it ends with and it
takes many people to start off with.
This man's not even making complete sentences anymore and we want to act like he's going
to be the guy that can run this country.
I mean, not even just with regards to climate change, like he says where it flows down the
Pacific put into the US.
This guy doesn't even know basic geography.
He doesn't even know how things work.
He doesn't understand ocean currents.
He doesn't know that the ocean is not an atmosphere.
I mean, they look, you look at our, uh, uh, women.
You're talking about an atmosphere.
Oceans are very small.
Those aren't the same things.
Those are the same things.
We're dealing with a level of stupidity that I didn't think we'd ever hit in the White
House.
Honestly.
I thought George W dot Bush was going to be as dumb as they could get.
Trump just outdid everything Bush ever said.
All the little bushes items, all the stupid, you know, slip ups with his words and the
choking on the pretzels and all of that.
Yeah.
Trump just outdated with one interview with the Washington Post and, you know, let's go
ahead and fact check it a little bit.
Right?
It's not enough to just make fun of the guy for being a moron.
Our air and water.
Is that a record clean?
That's what he said at a record clean.
Now, aside from the fact that that sentence does not make grammatical sense, it's not.
It is not at a record, clean the air got slightly better in the United States last year, but
that was actually before your administration came in and started cutting all those regulations
that are going to allow polluters to emit more into the atmosphere, which by the way,
again, not the ocean, the atmosphere, so yeah, the air got better a little bit, but that
was because of the regulations Obama put in place.
You've killed those and you're going to kill more of them.
That's your goal.
You've set it asked for the water being cleaner.
That's nowhere even near the truth.
The water in the United States is actually getting worse and we have a PFAS chemicals
contaminating water across the United States.
We have lead in water all over the United States.
Flint still doesn't have clean water.
Neither do more than 2000 other location cities in the United States, but water's not clean
at all.
The water is getting worse.
The climate is getting worse and you're gonna sit there.
Make up nonsense about garbage flowing south in the Pacific, yet ending up in the United
States, the ocean is the atmosphere.
You don't know what you're talking about.
The best thing you could do, please, for the love of God has resigned or even better than
resigning.
Go get a cat scan and release the results to the public because I think we're entitled
to see what's happening in your brain because based on these statements that you gave these
half sentences that lead nowhere.
I think we have legitimate questions about whether or not it's time to invoke the 25th
amendment because you do not seem like someone who is fully competent enough to serve as
the president of the United States.

3 Ways To Be Unforgettable To The Girl You Like - Duration: 9:04.
What's going on, Tripp Kramer here from www.trippadvice.com. Next to me, my new
friend Adam Lyons. Adam has been voted the #1 dating coach in the world
and he came to Chicago and I was like dude we got to make some videos together.
I'm glad you're here bro. Thanks I'm glad I'm excited to do. This gonna be great.
This is Tripp Advice and here I am. What I love about you so much is you
give really good practical tips. You're gonna see in just a second. He gives
really good advice. Stuff that you can take away and use right now.
Not just a bunch of theory but good stuff. Today we're talking about the 3 ways
to be unforgettable to the girl that you like. We were talking about this before
and we realized there's about 3 different situations. The most popular
situations in which you are with a girl. First you have the cold approach.
When you meet a girl at a bar, on the street somewhere.
You have no idea who she is and you just go up and talk to her. Then you have the
situation where you already know the girl but you're in the friend zone.
You're in the friend zone with her so it's this vague like what's
happening with us and then there is your inner relationship. We're gonna go
over how to be unforgettable in all these three popular situations.
Let's talk about one of the most popular situations
doing a cold approach where you've never met the girl in your life and you go
coaching and you teach guys and you help them approach girls. How do you be
unforgettable in this moment where you've never met her before?
I've spent a lot of time in the field. I've been doing this since 2006
out almost every weekend helping guys go out there and
do this and for us you have to have practical advice and it's a real easy
concept like stand out from everybody else. But how do you do it?
So I always give people the theory of you want to start the conversation about
half an hour after when you first meet her and just throw away the first half
an hour so the whole hi, who are you, what do you do for a living, where are you from?
Get rid of all that. Don't worry about it. Start the conversation as
if you've already been talking for half an hour. It's all about where you are.
If I was at a train station with somebody I've been talking to for an
hour I would start a conversation something like "you know what bugs
me about trains? How they say they're
gonna be here at certain time and they're always delayed. Why do they do that?
Why don't we just have approximations when the trains are gonna arrive?"
And what happens is you're dragging her into this conversation at
this midway point and so she doesn't feel
like she can reject you because you're acting as if you've already been
talking to her. It's a normal conversation the kind of conversation
she would typically have and before she knows it, she eases into communicating
with you and then in the future she looks back at this point, can't remember
how you started talking because she's never remember about some conversation
about a train and she just feels like she's known you forever and that's the
kind of girl that's never gonna forget you. What I like about that is every
other guy who is forgettable is having the same conversations over and over.
What do you do for a living and where do you live and have you been here before?
Oh what kind of drink is that? Let's get past all that boring
stuff and right into just fun, random, weird conversations. That's cool. I know
lots of women who when guys approach them, if they ask a question that the
girls had to answer to another guy within the last couple of weeks, it ends
the interaction instantly. In fact Eve yeah literally if you say to her
what country are you from, it ends the conversation. She's like we're done here
and she'll walk away and that's it. It's done because she's like you're not
original, you're giving me the same conversation I've had before and I'm over it.
This is the same thing if you see a girl who's got maybe a funky haircut or
a tattoo. You know already (or if you don't know now you know) a lot of guys
have already commented on this. So she has to tell the story over and over again.
And of course that's boring and boring equals forgettable.
One situation that you might be in is the friendzone, very common.
How to be unforgettable to a girl who it's vague, maybe she likes you, maybe she
doesn't. You guys have not hooked up at all, haven't even kissed or maybe you're
just boom slammed in the friendzone. I think this is the common situation.
This is the one that there's so many people deal with and the key is to
be unforgettable you kind of need her to forget about you. You need to
get out of the friendzone and one of the fastest ways out the friendzone is
disappear for a while. I tell a lot of people that are in this situation is how
how long can you go on vacation for? Can you get away for six weeks, eight weeks?
Can you go on a three month sabbatical from work or maybe even take your work
with you for a while? What happens here is she loses contact with you as a
friend but thanks to the wonder of social media, she gets to see all the
amazing adventures you go on and please go on
lots of adventures. Re-find yourself, go away and evolve as a person.
What this does is it lets us see a new side of you and now when you come back you
get to re-meet her and start the entire process as if you didn't know her or
more importantly she doesn't know you but she actually does so you've got all
the familiarity out of the way, you already know each other, you have a
history and now you're this cool guy who had these great experiences, been
with other women. You've come back and she'll say, you'll know you've done
it right because she's like wow you're really different and the minute you get
that you know that this girl is gonna be very open to dating you. I like that
it's like you got to basically present yourself in a whole new light because
just you being there sticking around for so long you're still that same person.
It's got to be kind of like it's gotta be harsh yeah like you got to just go
away so she can at this point kind of forget about you but forget about the
old you and bring in this new person and this is what makes you unforgettable
because no one else would have done that no other guy in her life would have
transformed in this way and that's what they want they're like if you're in the
friend zone with somebody they were attracted to you at some point because
girls don't really want to be friends with people they're not attracted to on
some level but you missed your window there was like a window at some point
where she may have dated you and for whatever reason you missed that
opportunity by going away you get a chance to get that opportunity back and
if she takes you after that if you if you do everything correctly follow all
trips amazing advice and make it work you'll not only get her but you'll get
her in a way that no other guy ever has you were the only one that's had that
transformation and that will mean something to her for decades I mean
that's how you get really deep long relationships now what if you're in the
relationship right so you've been dating a girl for a while maybe you guys are
exclusive she's your girlfriend and you want to keep it going right you want to
keep this relationship going because you really like her maybe you're in love
with her how do you be unforgettable when you're already in this is my
absolute favorite one yeah I love relationships relationships is my
favorite and this is all about understanding the Disney promised women
grew up with the Disney promise the idea that one day this shining night would
come along and transform their life and the problem is guys use this to try and
get girls and because of that guys let's be you've ruined the Disney promise
because when they were single they don't want that from someone they don't really
know and they would have accepted it from just one person who cheated on them
or lied to them or broke it and now they don't believe the promise anymore but if
you're in a relationship she holds on to that dream somewhere deep inside and she
wants it from the person she's dating so what you do is you take her on a Disney
date and the good news is every Disney movie is already outlined - this you're
gonna be making out on a bridge under the moonlight you're gonna go to this
fancy dinner and you're gonna turn up in a horse-drawn carriage trust me those
services exist you can hire it I did you give her the full Disney wonderful
moment but I heard some jewelry but like a necklace with like a bigger love heart
like you'd get from Disney and sell it when you give it to her you'd be like
you know like I'm expecting you to wear this but this is a memento of this
wonderful evening and by giving her that big cheesy Disney day she will melt no
other guy has done it before no other guy will do it again and in fact that
she it's what everyone gets wrong they put the effort in before they start
dating or when they're trying to date them and then as relationship goes on
they get lazier and lazier you want to do the reverse where you know you're
kind of being cool guy on the end but now you're dating you blow her away with
this Disney moment and she's yours forever and also when you're putting in
this kind of work right when you're doing something very romantic this is
very over sensationalized again I'm saying works very well when you're in
the relationship but don't get confused because this is stuff that doesn't work
as well before you guys have either had sex or you're exclusive meaning you know
she is your girlfriend because if you do too soon if you're doing this on a first
date second date it's too cheesy it's too needy or going over the top and the
reason why it's weird is because the girl is thinking why is this guy going
so over-the-top he doesn't even really know me it's like what is it's almost
like kind of desperate like you're putting so much effort into something
when you guys don't even know each other yet but when you do it after you guys
have been more connected or in a relationship it works like a charm all
right now that you already know this we a little gift for you we co-created a
blueprint for you so you can be the guy who gets women to chase you instead of
be the guy that's going off and chasing women some really good advice good
practical stuff in there so go check that out gets a free download I'm gonna
put that in the description below just click that and I want you
check it out let us know what you think write a comment down below and we'll be
sure to respond to you there Adam thanks for joining me thanks for having me man
we'll see you the next video

The Science of Flint's Water Crisis - Duration: 12:17.
[♪ INTRO]
In April of 2014, under the control of an Emergency Manager appointed by the state of
Michigan to help the city through an ongoing financial crisis,
Flint, Michigan switched its water supply.
For decades, the city's water had been piped in from the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department,
which got its water from Lake Huron and treated it.
But in April of 2013, the decision was made to build a pipeline and connect to a new system,
the Karegnondi Water Authority.
This would supply the city with lake water that Flint would treat instead of Detroit,
and was estimated to save 200 million dollars over 25 years.
In the meantime, as a sort of temporary fix while the pipeline was being built, water
would come in from the Flint River and be treated at Flint's water treatment plant.
Now, 4 years after that switch, we know that it damaged hundreds of millions of dollars
of infrastructure, caused deadly bacterial outbreaks that killed at least 12 people,
and exposed thousands of children to high levels of lead in their drinking water.
There are places to learn about the story of how this happened, was covered up, and
was eventually recognized, and the underlying situations that
caused these massive mistakes to be made.
So let's talk about the science of water.
And how something as seemingly simple as a switching to a different water source could
lead to so many bad, but also seemingly unrelated, outcomes.
Humans have actually been using lead pipes in water systems for hundreds of years,
dating back to the ancient Romans.
We eventually moved on to using other materials, like iron.
But in the late 1800s, engineers in the U.S. were all about lead, because lead pipes were
easier to bend around obstacles and were a bit more durable than iron.
People were suffering from lead poisoning, but the public health risks weren't seriously
acknowledged until around the 1920s.
And we gradually stopped making new water pipes from lead.
But in lots of cities in the U.S., like Flint, Michigan, there are still several different
kinds of metals in pipes for water.
In Flint's case, the pipes are made of lead and iron.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency didn't have any sort of serious regulation about
lead pipes until the Lead and Copper Rule was enacted in 1991.
It requires regular monitoring and action plans if old lead pipes start becoming dangerous.
So, all that to say, lead water pipes are not that unusual,
a 2016 study estimates that there are still millions in use.
And even though no amount of lead ingested by a human is considered safe,
maybe surprisingly, many of these water systems are usually safe.
A big part of the reason why is anti-corrosion chemicals in the water, like orthophosphate.
Orthophosphate helps lead and some other metal pipes from corroding by forming a compound
that makes a sort of protective layer on the inside of the pipe.
If that layer is patchy or missing, then electron-stealing chemicals called oxidants,
like dissolved oxygen gas, can react with the lead.
And when that happens, the lead will dissolve into the water and contaminate it.
You've probably heard of that.
It's known as leaching, and it's when things get dangerous for people who need this
water to drink or shower or do anything with on their bodies.
Flint, and it is unclear why besides possibly cutting costs, did not add orthophosphate
or any sort of anti-corrosion chemicals when switching to Flint River water.
Even though the treated water from Detroit had had them.
And because Flint was using iron and lead pipes, both iron and lead ended up in the water.
But that's not the whole story.
Not only were these pipes left unprotected, but the water flowing through them also contained
higher than average chloride levels.
Research has found that chloride helps the process of corrosion along.
When there are enough chloride ions in the water compared to some other ions, they start
forming chemical complexes with lead and other atoms.
And these chloride complexes are soluble.
So, basically, it's another way that lead can get into the water.
Part of this too-much-chloride problem was from the river water itself.
Sodium chloride, which is just table salt, would often wash into the river after being
used as a de-icer on roads.
But another part of it had to do with the fact that, a couple of months after the switch
to the Flint River water, there was also a huge bacterial problem.
The river water wasn't just, like, extremely dangerous, though.
We know how to treat water.
We put in disinfectants like chlorine, which can rip open bacteria or mess with the molecules inside them.
But it turns out that chlorine disinfectant can react with metals from corroding pipes,
especially iron, to become completely different
compounds that do absolutely nothing to control bacteria.
So the disinfectants were made useless.
Plus, more chloride ions ended up floating around, which only made the corrosion process worse.
And thus, the vicious cycle escalated.
By August of 2014, there was a city warning that E. coli and other typically gut-dwelling
bacteria, collectively called fecal coliform bacteria,
were thriving in the water and could make people sick.
The Flint treatment plant upped the amount of chlorine they were using to try to kill
off these contaminants.
But because the pipes were already corroding, it wasn't working.
Not only that, but all this extra chlorine they were adding also reacted with some of
the organic chemicals from the river water to form disinfection byproducts called trihalomethanes.
And, researchers have found trihalomethanes to be linked to health problems and even cancer.
So not only was the chlorine turning into a bunch of non-disinfectant chemicals, one
of those was potentially a carcinogen.
Trihalomethanes in the water quickly swelled to above the national regulatory limit.
So to try and fix that problem, the treatment plant added coagulants that would react with
the organic matter in the water to help them filter it out.
Specifically, they used a chemical called ferric chloride.
Which took care of the trihalomethanes,
but meant they were adding even more chloride to the water.
As the pipes got worse and more chlorine was turned into useless compounds,
the elevated bacterial levels became deadly.
Between April 2014 and October 2015, at least 12 people died and 91 people got sick from
an outbreak of Legionnaires' disease, the third largest recorded in U.S. history.
Before the switch to the Flint River water, there were only a handful of cases per year.
Legionnaires' disease is basically a really intense pneumonia.
It's caused by breathing in water-borne bacteria that infect the lungs so they get
inflamed and lead to other symptoms.
This outbreak was caused by a bacterium called Legionella pneumophila, specifically the serogroup
6 strain, which isn't usually detected in the standard urine test for the disease.
After some extensive studies, most researchers agree that this chlorine inactivation at least
played a part in letting these bacteria flourish.
On top of that, some of the experts and investigative journalists
think that there could have been more deaths than were officially confirmed,
because of how tricky it can be to diagnose Legionnaires' disease.
Some deaths caused by these bacterias could have been attributed to pneumonia
in general, and thus not counted.
So, counterintuitive as it might seem, not adding corrosion control also deactivated
the chlorine disinfectant to basically undetectable levels, resulting in tragic loss of life.
In addition to all this, though, there was the ongoing problem of metals leaching into the water supply.
Which we definitely know was because of how the Flint River water was treated.
Because of all these chemical reactions, the process by which lead and other metals got
into the water was not slow and constant.
Sometimes the pipes would leach metal slowly.
But sometimes metal compounds, like the protective layer that wasn't being maintained, flaked
off in little hunks, some of which were even visible to the naked eye.
The leached iron made the water look kind of horrible and taste kind of rusty,
but it isn't a big health concern on its own. Lead is.
But you can't see, smell, or taste it in water.
A single tiny lead flake can take water from safe, to far over the EPA's limit of 15
parts per billion, which requires public action to be taken.
And besides randomly super contaminated samples being right next to uncontaminated samples
because of flakes, the protocols for testing for lead can be manipulated to make it less
likely to record how contaminated the water actually is.
Official EPA protocols for measuring drinking water quality involves letting the water sit
in pipes for at least 6 hours, and then collecting it after a couple minutes.
City protocols called for pre-flushing the pipes for five minutes
before letting them sit for 6 hours.
And, according to experts, this pre-flushing can sweep out initial bursts of lead particles
so they're not in the sample.
Plus, people don't just go turning on their water every once in a while, so those samples
aren't necessarily reflective of what they're using and drinking.
Even still, when the City of Flint tested one resident's water in February and March
of 2015, they found lead levels at 104 ppb and 397 ppb, far above the EPA's action level.
When researchers from Virginia Tech sampled water from the same pipes at low, medium,
and high flow rates, they found levels ranging from 220 ppb to a whopping 13,200 ppb.
And, to be totally clear about how intense this is, a substance with more than 5,000
parts per billion of lead is considered hazardous waste by the EPA.
By September 2015, those same researchers had collected and analyzed 252
water samples from various Flint homes.
101 of the samples had more than 5 ppb of lead.
And they estimated that 90% of homes had a lead level below 25 ppb; 10% were above that.
Which, and I can't say this enough,
was a lot of homes above that 15 parts per billion EPA limit for water.
Protocols matter, y'all!
So that's how metals ended up in the water.
No corrosion control and high corrosive chemical concentrations
exposed many thousands of people to lead poisoning.
And lead poisoning can cause incredibly serious health problems.
Lead interferes with a lot of different enzymes, can cause cells to die, and can slip past
the protective blood-brain barrier to seriously mess with the central nervous system.
We don't know exactly how it interacts with all those systems, but lead ions are chemically
pretty similar to calcium ions, which our bodies use all the time in lots of chemical processes.
So that may have something to do with it.
In any case, it's incredibly detrimental to human bodies and brains,
in adults and especially in children.
All of this was made worse by the fact that the city of Flint has a water system built
to deliver water to over 200,000 people.
Since the population peaked at around that in the 1960s, it has declined to less than half that.
So in some areas, the water moved through some pipes slowly or sat stagnant.
As the Flint River water sat in the pipes and the corrosive chemistry did its thing,
metal concentration rose, disinfectant concentration decreased, and bacterial growth increased.
The city of Flint switched back to piping in treated water from the Detroit water system
in October 2015, after 18 months.
And they're adding in extra phosphate chemicals to try to build up that protective layer again.
But that doesn't just fix the problem that had escalated over that year and a half.
The pipes have already corroded, as have plumbing fixtures and water heaters of many residents.
So while the gradual leaching is hopefully going down, metal flakes may still be chipping off.
Tests show that lead levels are down, and that's great news,
but many residents have also, understandably, lost faith in the
government agencies that are now reporting that the water is safe.
The city is now undergoing a massively expensive process of replacing all of its lead pipes.
A step that was taken to save money has ended up costing far more money than it could have
saved, not to mention lost health, and lost lives.

How kids can help design cities | Mara Mintzer - Duration: 14:25.
Our society routinely makes decisions
without consulting a quarter of the population.
We're making choices about land use, energy production and natural resources
without the ideas and experiences of the full community.
The car, an inanimate object, has more say over public policy
than this group of citizens.
Can you guess which group I'm talking about?
It's children.
I work in urban design, and not surprisingly,
most cities are designed by adults.
Urban planners, architects, developers, politicians,
and occasionally, a few loud citizens.
Rarely do you consider the voices of a group of four-year-olds,
barely tall enough to reach the podium at city council chambers.
But today, I want to ask you this:
What would happen if we asked children to design our cities?
(Laughter)
Back in 2009, I was introduced to a small group of people
who wanted to start a child-friendly city initiative in Boulder, Colorado.
I come from a family of civil rights advocates,
and I had spent my career until that point
working with low-income children and families.
But I had never heard of a child-friendly city initiative before.
So I figured its purpose would be to address some of the frustrations
I had encountered as the parent of a young child.
Perhaps we would advocate for more changing tables in restaurants.
Or create indoor play spaces for those cold and rainy days.
In other words, make the city more hospitable to children and families.
It wasn't until after I committed to this project
that I realized I had it all wrong.
We wouldn't be designing better cities for children.
Children would be designing better cities for themselves,
and for the rest of us, too.
Now, I bet you're skeptical about this idea.
And honestly, I was, too.
I mean, there must be a reason the voting age is 18.
(Laughter)
How could children possibly understand complex ideas
such as the affordable housing crisis
or how to develop a transportation master plan?
And even if they had ideas, wouldn't they be childish?
Or unreasonable?
Do our cities really need a park made out of candy?
(Laughter)
Or a bridge with water cannons
that fire water onto unsuspecting kayakers below?
(Laughter)
While these concerns sound legitimate,
I realized that not including children in city planning
was a bigger design problem.
After all, shouldn't we include end users in the design process?
If we're building a park to be largely used by kids,
then kids should have a say in the park's design.
So with all of this in mind,
we formed a program called "Growing Up Boulder,"
and my job is to work with children ages zero through 18
to come up with innovative city-design solutions.
How do we do this, you might ask?
Let me give you a real example.
In 2012, the city of Boulder decided to redesign a large downtown park,
known as the Civic Area.
This space is bounded by a farmers' market on one end,
Boulder Public Library on the other end,
and by Boulder Creek, which runs through the middle.
The space needed a new design
to better handle the creek's inevitable flash floods,
restore a sense of safety to the area
and support an expanded farmers' market.
So from 2012 through 2014,
we engaged more than 200 young people in the process,
ranging from preschool through high school students.
Now, how did we do this?
Let me explain.
First, we visited children in their classrooms
and presented the project:
what it was, why their ideas mattered
and what would happen with their recommendations.
Before we could influence them, we asked children to record their ideas,
based on their own lived experiences.
Then we asked children to go on a field trip with us,
to document what they liked and didn't like about the space,
using photography.
Through green picture frames,
students highlighted what they liked about the space,
such as college students, tubing down the creek.
(Laughter)
Then they flipped those frames over and used the red side
to highlight things they didn't like, such as trash.
Our sixth-grade students studied the Civic Area
by researching sites with similar challenges
from around the world.
Then, we invited the kids to combine their original ideas
with their new inspiration,
to synthesize solutions to improve the space.
Each class invited adult planners, city council and community members
into the classroom, to share and discuss their recommendations.
Boulder's senior urban planners stepped over blocks and stuffed animals
to explore preschool students' full-size classroom recreation of the Civic Area.
Adult planners marveled at the students' ideas
as they shared a park constructed out of a jelly bracelet.
It was supposed to be an ice-skating rink.
And then, public art constructed from animal-shaped plastic beads.
And while this may seem ridiculous,
it isn't so different from the models that architects create.
Now, fast-forward four years, and I am pleased to report
that many of the children's ideas are being implemented in the Civic Area.
For example,
there will be improved access to Boulder Creek,
so kids can play safely in the water.
Lighting in previously dark underpasses,
so high school students can walk home safely after school at night.
And separated biking and walking paths,
so speeding bikers won't hit young people as they stroll by the creek.
My daughter and I even skated on a new, child-requested ice-skating rink,
last winter.
So, were all of the kids' ideas implemented at the Civic Area?
Of course not.
Democracy is a messy process.
But just as a reasonable and well-informed adult
does not expect all of her ideas to be utilized,
neither does a nine-year-old.
We've now been using this process for eight years,
and along the way, we've found some incredible benefits
to designing cities with children.
First of all, kids think differently from adults.
And that's a good thing.
Adults think about constraints,
how much time will a project take,
how much money will it cost and how dangerous will it be.
In other words, "Are we going to get sued?"
(Laughter)
It's not that these constraints aren't real,
but if we kill off ideas from the beginning,
it limits our creativity and dampens the design process.
Kids, on the other hand, think about possibilities.
For kids, the sky is the limit.
Literally.
When we worked with middle-school students to design teen-friendly parks,
they drew pictures of skydiving, hang gliding,
(Laughter)
and jumping from trampolines into giant foam pits.
(Laughter)
Some of this sounds far-fetched,
but the commonalities among the activities revealed an important story.
Our adolescents wanted thrill-seeking opportunities.
Which makes perfect sense, given their developmental stage in life.
So our task, as connectors between inspiration and reality,
was to point them towards activities and equipment
that actually could be installed in a park.
This is exactly what parks in Australia have done,
with their extensive zip lines and their 30-foot-tall climbing towers.
When kids dream up a space,
they almost always include fun, play and movement in their designs.
Now, this is not what adults prioritize.
But research shows that fun, play and movement
are exactly what adults need to stay healthy, too.
(Laughter)
Who wouldn't enjoy a tree house containing a little lending library
and comfortable beanbag chairs for reading?
Or what about a public art display
that sprays paint onto a canvas each time you walk up the steps?
In addition to fun and play, children value beauty in their designs.
When tasked with designing dense affordable housing,
kids rejected the blocks of identical, beige condominiums
so many developers favor,
and instead, put bright colors on everything,
from housing to play equipment.
They placed flowers between biking and walking paths,
and placed benches along the creek,
so kids could hang out with their friends
and enjoy the tranquility of the water.
Which leads me to nature.
Children have a biological need to connect with nature,
and this shows up in their designs.
They want nature right in their backyards,
not four blocks away.
So they design communities that incorporate water,
fruit trees, flowers and animals into their common spaces on site.
For better or worse, this is logical,
because five-year-olds today are rarely allowed to walk four blocks
to access a park by themselves.
And nature in one's immediate environment benefits everyone,
since it has been shown to have restorative effects for all ages.
It may come as a surprise,
but we even take into consideration the desires or our littlest citizens,
babies and toddlers.
From toddlers, we learned that the joy of walking
comes from what you discover along the way.
When they evaluated the walkability of Boulder's 19th Street corridor,
toddlers spent long stretches exploring leaves in a ditch
and sparkles in the sidewalk.
They reminded us to slow down
and design a path where the journey is as important as the destination.
In addition to trees and plants,
kids almost always include animals in their designs.
Insects, birds and small mammals
figure prominently into children's pictures.
Whether it's because they're closer to the ground
and can see the grasshoppers better than we can,
or simply because they have a greater sense of empathy for other beings,
children almost always include non-human species in their ideal worlds.
Across the board, children are inclusive in their city planning.
They design for everyone, from their grandmother in a wheelchair
to the homeless woman they see sleeping in the park.
Children design for living creatures,
not for cars, egos or corporations.
The last and perhaps most compelling discovery we made
is that a city friendly to children is a city friendly to all.
Bogota, Colombia mayor Enrique Peñalosa
observed that children are a kind of indicator species.
If we can build a successful city for children,
we will have a successful city for all people.
Think about it.
Kids can't just hop in a car and drive to the store.
And most kids can't afford an expensive lunch at the nearby cafe.
So if we build cities that take into the consideration
their needs for alternative forms of transportation
and for cheaper food venues,
we meet the needs of many other populations, too.
The more frequent and more affordable bus service,
so desired by our youth,
also supports the elderly who wish to live independently,
after they can no longer drive cars.
Teens' recommendations for smooth, protected walking and skateboarding paths
also support the person in a wheelchair who wishes to go smoothly down the path,
or the parent pushing a new stroller.
So to me, all of this has revealed something important.
An important blind spot.
If we aren't including children in our planning,
who else aren't we including?
Are we listening to people of color, immigrants,
the elderly and people with disabilities, or with reduced incomes?
What innovative design solutions are we overlooking,
because we aren't hearing the voices of the full community?
We can't possibly know the needs and wants of other people
without asking.
That goes for kids and for everyone else.
So, adults, let's stop thinking of our children as future citizens
and instead, start valuing them for the citizens they are today.
Because our children
are designing the cities that will make us happier and healthier.
Cities filled with nature, play, movement, social connection and beauty.
Children are designing the cities we all want to live in.
Thank you.

The Untold Truth Of Call of Duty: Blackout - Duration: 3:44.
How much do you know about Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's Blackout mode?
Lucky for you, we're your one-stop shop for all the ins and outs.
Here's everything you need to know before you dive in and start racking up headshots.
While Black Ops 4 doesn't feature a typical single player campaign, it does boast a trio
of multiplayer modes: traditional multiplayer, Zombies, and Blackout — Call of Duty's take
on battle royale.
Polygon writes that the developers never planned on including single-player, instead focusing
on multiplayer interaction.
It seems likely that much of the development time that would have gone into polishing the
single-player campaign has instead been devoted to balancing and creating the best experience
for Blackout..
After all…
"Call of Duty is about kicking ass!"
Blackout's environment is a veritable who's who of locations based on some of the most
popular maps in Black Ops history.
There are several areas of the Blackout map that will look familiar to veterans of the
series.
For instance, Estates is based on both Raid from Black Ops 2 and Stronghold from Black
Ops 3.
Asylum draws inspiration from the Zombies map Verruckt.
The Hydro Facility area is based on — surprise!
— Hydro from Black Ops 2, and the Cargo Docks area is based on the map Cargo from
the same game.
Finally, Nuketown Island is based on the classic map Nuketown from the original Black Ops.
If you've played a battle royale game, you're probably familiar with the idea of "supply
drops."
Whoever gets to one of these first has a shot at obtaining some powerful weapons and other
super rare loot.
In Blackout, these drops take the form of "Mystery Boxes," which contain powerful weapons
and armor.
Unfortunately, they also come with everybody's favorite undead monsters.
"Arrrgh."
The AI-controlled beasts are surprisingly deadly if you aren't on your guard.
If you think you can take them, just look for the column of light in the sky to find
your way to the Mystery Box.
One of the most compelling elements of battle royale games like Fortnite and PUBG is the
massive player count.
So, just how many people will you need to outlast when you're dropping into a Blackout
match?
The answer to that depends on how you're playing.
At launch, the maximum player count for both solo and duos in a round of Blackout stands
at 88 — just a little low.
For the record, though, that number jumps up to 100 if you're playing in squads of four
— that's twenty-five different teams vying for supremacy.
PUBG and Fortnite have both made major moves into the esports arena, and both still seem
to be ironing out the details about how to make that work.
Activision and Treyarch, however, may have a potential esports monster on its hands with
Black Ops 4.
The Motley Fool writes that stock markets are anticipating a massive jump for Activision
Blizzard's shares as Black Ops 4 gains traction, and that Blackout could follow in the vein
of other esports giants like Overwatch.
"You wanna go to work with daddy, baby, huh?
YEAH, YOU DO.
YEEEAH!!"
Call of Duty, with its massive cultural pull and mainstream presence, could take the esports
world by storm with its Blackout mode.
Traditionally, vehicles don't play a huge role in battle royale games, but that's changing
in Black Ops 4's Blackout mode.
Not only will there be the typical wheeled rides you might expect, but there are sea
and air transportation options as well.
"Hell yes!"
So far, the land vehicles include a two-person ATV and a cargo truck that can transport an
entire team.
There is currently a small, two-person boat that can take to the waves, and a transport
helicopter that can fly overhead and bring death from the skies.
Be careful with that last one though: if the pilot is shot out of the sky, it's a long
way down for the rest of your squadmates.
It seems likely that more vehicles will appear as new maps are added and gameplay wrinkles
are ironed out.
We know what we're looking forward to.
"Cars!
Red cars, blue cars, white cars, yellow cars, super fast cars!"

Baby Gender Reveal Caused MASSIVE Wildfire - Duration: 4:58.
Well, it's a boy.
We can pretty much be certain of that.
But unfortunately, a gender reveal celebration that took place in Arizona last spring accidentally
caused a 47 thousand acre wildfire, and I'm going to tell you everything you need to know,
right now on io.
Welcome back to how not to throw a gender reveal party 1-0-1.
I mean IO.
On this channel we tell you about the most interesting viral news stories we find on
the internet, and we make them more entertaining.
Who doesn't like being entertained?
I know I do.
By the way, I'm charlotte, and if you wanna connect with me and the rest of the team at
IO, check out the description for our social media handles.
So, kids, gather round, mama potato is going to tell you a story.
Once upon a time, in Arizona, there was a gender reveal party.
For those that don't know what a gender reveal party, its kind of like a baby shower,
where expecting parents invite guests to a soirre and the climax is the soirre is the
moment that everyone finds out what gender their baby will be, ususally in some sort
of creative way.
For example The inside of the cake will be blue or pink, or guests can crack open a gender
reveal piniata, or the parents will pop a gender reveal balloon.
Its usually a pretty fun experience for everyone involved, and you don't usually have to
bring a present which is another plus.
But the gender reveal party I'm talking about today was no ordinary gender reveal
party.
Instead of a cake, There was a target with the words 'boy' and girl written on it
and The target was packed with a highly explosive substance called Tannerite . The target was
supposed to explode and the colour from the explosion would be representative of the gender
of the baby.
Blue for aboy, pink for a girl.
Problem is, the target, and the party, were placed in the middle of the dry desert, and
the surrounding vegetation was, how do I put this, flammable.
You can probably guess what happened next.
The father to be, dickie, shot at the target with a high powered rifle and boom.
He just gave birth to a devastating wildfire.
Like what ever happened to gender reveal cakes, or gender reveal balloons.
Why do you need an explosion to let everyone know that you're having a boy.
I'll tell you why, because MURRICA.
The subsequent fire ended up costing close to 8.2 million dollars in damage as it burned
through 47 thousand acres of land over the course of a week.
The 37 year old expectant father named dickie was the one that fired the shot, and he plead
guilty this past September to a misdemeaner violation of US Forest Service regulations.
He was sentenced to 5 years probation, and he has to pay 220 thousand dollars in restitutions
that will be paid out in monthly payments.
Which is like, damn these parents are going to be paying off the restitutions for the
next 25 years unless they are super rich.
Junior is gonna be going to college and dickie's gonna be like, sorry son, we cant afford your
tuition because we're still paying off the restitution from your gender reveal party.
All things considered, 220 thousand dollars is not that bad considering how much the wildfire
cost the Arizona government.
Its pretty much a slap on the wrist.
It could have been way worse for dickie.
So this incident actually happened in april of 2017, but The US Forest Service just released
footage of the exact moment that this gender reveal party went horribly wrong.
The footage was taken by a US border patrol agent.
Alright, enough with the jokes.
Charlotte is gonna get serious on you for just a second.
You do not want to do anything that could cause a fire anywhere around dry vegetation,
especially now.
No flicking of lit cigarettes, no fireworks, nada.
Accoridng to a new National climate assessment, climate change is fueling wildfire's nation
wide, no matter who tells you otherwise.
This report warns theres an increased potential for fire in the southeast of the united states.
Human caused warming climate has increased the area burned by wildfire in the western
united states.
Warmer climate means drier forests, which means forests are more susceptible to burning.
The report was released by the trump administration, and even though us president donald trump
says he doesn't believe it, you have to take care.
Alright that's enough seriousness for one day, I'm going to respond to some comments
from our video, the disturbing world of chinese live streamers.
Franco Torres – I haven't lost my virginity because I never lose.
There ya go, that's the spirit.
Jonathan Bonilla – its my birthday can I be in the video.
Is it really your birthday?
I wanna see some ID.
Just kidding happy birthday.
Phillip Marlow – your dressed really nice today.
Like you have a hot date.
You think this is for a man?
HAH.
I have a hot date with myself.
Unicorn Dragon – pls do a livestream.
We will have to think about it.
I really wanna include Hayley but shes needed on set.
Nosidam Elocin – can someone explain why charlotte keeps getting prettier than me?
Umm I mean I cant see you but I am assuming you are very pretty.
Also we just upgraded our set so the lighting is on point.

The following action titles all share a dubious distinction: They each currently hold a zero

Ecks vs Sever: Yikes
This is probably what happens if you ask actress Lucy Liu about the disastrous 2002 film Ballistic:
Ecks vs. Sever.
If you've ever heard of this stinker, it's probably because an astonishing 116 critics
have branded it "rotten."
In fact, it currently holds the record for the most negative Rotten Tomatoes reviews
of all time… and it's easy to see why.
Lucy Liu plays Sever, a vengeful ex-DIA agent.
Antonio Banderas portrays Jeremiah Ecks, a former FBI tracker with amazing facial hair.
Together, they wear form-fitting black outfits, blow things up, and perform martial arts.
That's pretty much it.
We'll leave you with the film's best line of dialogue:
Derailed is a disaster
"We're taking the 681 to Munich."
"Let's get a few things straight Jack.
I don't need you, nor do I want you."
It's time to talk about Derailed.
Not the 2005 film Derailed starring Jennifer Aniston and Clive Owen.
Nor the Korean Derailed from 2016.
Nor the Canadian Derailed from 2017.
We're talking about the real Derailed.
The Jean-Claude Van Damme Derailed.
This spine-tingling 2002 opus features trains, Van Damme kicking people, and Van Damme kicking
people on trains.
If disposable action movies had a face, it would undoubtedly be Van Damme's.
The actor has a startling 20-year streak of rotten films that started in 1988 and wasn't
broken until he poked fun at his own public image with the meta-action satire JCVD in
2008.
Derailed is probably the cake topper here, but it's worth noting that the 1999 adventure
Desert Heat and the 2001 head-scratcher The Order also have zero percent scores.
What a shame
There was a time when the public trusted the comedic stylings of the Wayans family.
In Living Color was fantastic… and we hadn't been burned by White Chicks or Little Man
yet.
"Goo goo, gaa gaa?"
Released in 1994, Keenan Ivory Wayans' A Low Down Dirty Shame was the sketch star's attempt
at an action comedy which he wrote, starred in, and directed.
The title alone invited plenty of criticals jabs.
And the contrived writing and clichéd fight scenes resulted in universal critical failure.
Oh, and can we talk about the offensive gay stereotypes?
"The Bernard?"
"Yes!
It's me."
"Homewrecker!
He's with me!"
"What?"
"I can't believe you just did that!"
Dark Tide is deadly
As a general rule of thumb, sharks just don't work on-screen unless there's a tornado, or
an astronaut is using it as a re-entry device.
But apparently the filmmakers behind the 2012 snooze-fest Dark Tide didn't get that memo.
Halle Berry stars as Kate, a professional "shark whisperer" who clearly has a lot of
integrity:
"'Cuz I'm the shark whisperer…
Legend of the deep!
… Stop it, stop it!"
"Stop what?!"
"Stop using me to make money!"
Someone was clearly angling for another Oscar.
Anyway, Kate is intimidatingly knowledgeable about all things shark.
"She's beautiful!"
"She's a he."
"How do you know it's a male?"
"Cuz I can see claspers on his anal fins."
In fact, you can tell she's definitely a shark expert.
"So sharks have really sensitive snouts, so they can actually feel your heart rate, so
they sense nervousness."
Running low on funds, Kate agrees to take a wealthy family on a shark tour through a
dangerous part of the sea called Shark Alley.
You probably know where this is going.
Dark Tide pulled in less than half a million dollars at the box office.
That isn't too shocking, considering you've already seen the best part of the movie.
"'Cuz I'm the shark whisperer…
Legend of the deep!
… Stop it, stop it!"
"Stop what?!"
"Stop using me to make money!"
Precious Cargo: Abort mission
Released in 2016, Precious Cargo is a film that's got it all: Bruce Willis...
Actually, it's just got Bruce Willis.
"Damn straight."
Willis plays the same character he always plays: A dyed-in-wool Bruce Willis type.
"I don't make deals with people who steal from me.
It's not good for business."
The beyond generic thriller was universally panned by critics.
One reviewer aptly called the film "just another VOD craptacular."
"I had him."
You're probably wondering if there's anything we can recommend about Precious Cargo.
"Nope."

Sweet Xmas Elf Polymer Clay Tutorial - Duration: 10:26.
Hi everyone and welcome in a new Celidonia Studio video
I'm Daniela Messina and I'm going to show you how this little Xmas Elf
was born, starting from a polymer clay little ball
First of all, I made the sweets, starting from the cookie
with soft pastels I make the shades of color
and I make the sugar glaze with a little bit of white polymer clay
then i make the candy cane, with the pink and the white clay
to make the candies, I used translucent polymer clay pastel colors
I added a little bit of polymer clay before to put them in the
white craft sand, that will make the sugar effect
and then I made a first pre-baking
from a Sculpey Living Doll Light I started to sculpt the Head of the Elf
I dipped the paintbrush into ethyl alcohol to smooth the clay and to define details
give life to the eyes with black polymer clay
and then go into makeup using a pink blush
make the hair with light brown polymer clay
sculpt just a mention of body
and join to the head
then the arms with the visible finger
from green polymer clay, I make a leaf that will be the Elf's hat
to make the texture of the little pouch, I used a simple corrugated board box
I add Fimo Liquid to the nodes of the string to sicure it to the pouch
and then the bells, of course
I add sweets using Fimo Liquid and Sculpey Bake and Bond
And add red microshpere
after the last pre-baking
I add clay to make the drapery of the pouch
then I add a pocket on the back, to make some magic
I make the final baking and add Fairy Dust,
Stars and a special message
And here it is, our Elf is finally came into the Human World, to add magic to the Xmas fest
Video is over, but
if you'd like to meet Celidonia's Fairies and the Human who sculpt them, we'll meet you
next December 16 in Rome. This is the poster of our little micro exhibition
and in the info box below you'll find the link with all the info
Thanks for watching, see you in Rome or in the next video! Bye!

Should You Register Your Vehicle In Business Name? (Tax Strategies & Tips For Businesses) - Duration: 5:17.
(light instrumental music)
- [Toby] I purchased another vehicle,
I like the way they say another vehicle,
for business purposes.
Do I need to title it in the name of the business?
Jeff, you like this stuff.
- [Jeff] No, we're not going to,
we recommend that you not title it in the business name.
For a couple reasons.
Liability for one, it presents additional liability
to the company, to your business,
and second, it's a little more expensive
to put it in your company.
You may find that interest rates are higher
if you're getting loans on the car.
And commercial insurance on the auto
is definitely going to be higher than personal insurance.
- [Toby] Yeah, because, in theory,
again if you're in a business, anybody in that business
can go hop right in and drive that car around.
And you're also, whenever you're doing business,
now you're liable for anything that happens in it.
So just by the nature of it, it's now a business asset,
so the business is exposed, plus you're exposed.
Two people to defend equals more money.
So it's more expensive.
- [Jeff] Well and I think sometimes we forget
that we're using that car on non-business hours.
And we get in a wreck or something,
it's still a business vehicle.
- [Man] Ooh, alright so here's our deal.
Taxable, personal use.
So let's say that you're spending $50,000 on a car.
And you're using it 50% for business.
First off, that's a problem.
You have to use it more than 50% for business
in order, or is it right at 50?
- [Jeff] I think it's right at 50.
- [Toby] If you're going to write that thing off,
it's very easy for the IRS to come in and say
we think that that was actually dis-allowable deduction
'cause it wasn't being used for more than 50%.
Now this isn't something where you just say it's 50%.
You have to track this and prove
that you used it more than 50%.
Otherwise, no deduction.
Zero, zilch.
It is actually a personal asset.
And now you're being thwarted.
And if you took a deduction, they make you claim that
as taxable income.
- [Jeff] Yes they do.
- [Toby] Which is very bad.
But here's the other side.
Depending on the value of the vehicle,
the IRS has a cool layout,
what do they call that thing?
It's a...
The schedule of how much taxable income you have to include
in your return every year for that vehicle
based on its price.
So if it's 50,000 you're going to be paying,
I think it's close to 10,000 that you're going to have to claim
if you use it for personal use.
That's 100% personal use.
So if you're using it 50/50,
you may have $5,000 taxable to you.
Versus, what's the alternative?
- [Jeff] You have a personal vehicle in your name
and you're reimbursed under an accountable plan
for the mileage taken,
is the easiest way I can see doing it.
- [Toby] Yeah, mileage is just 54.5 cents a mile.
And I should say business mile.
And the easiest way to track that
is something called Mile IQ.
Easy app, you can just go on
if you have an Apple or Android phone.
It'll GPS you.
So you just say, I think you swipe right for business,
swipe left for personal.
Whatever it is.
It's one of those types of apps where you're swiping.
And you just say hey, this was a business trip,
this was a personal trip, and it tracks it for you.
And at the end of the year you just say,
here's the amount of miles and the company cuts you a check
and you don't have to report it personally.
And the company writes it off as an expense.
That's typically our recommendation.
There are exceptions.
And you know, the reason that we say this is our typical,
is because you better show me there's a really good reason
to have the business vehicle.
So maybe you have a construction company
where you have some trucks or something like that.
- [Jeff] Right.
- [Toby] Then maybe, but otherwise,
if it's just your family car and you're just,
you know, you're running around doing some
real estate business or an MLM or something,
you got to be really careful with this.
There's a lot of people that have gotten burned on this one.
And then once it's in the business,
it's kind of a pain to get it out.
- [Jeff] Yes.
- [Toby] It's not like you can just hand it to yourself
and say congratulations, here's a bonus.
That's taxable to you.
That fair market value gets hit.
So I tend to be with Jeff.
I like to see it in your personal name
'cause it's cheaper, in the long run
you're getting a lot more benefit.
My commercial insurance, I've done this before,
was almost twice as much.
It always depends a little bit.

Factors to the End of Humanity - Duration: 11:32.
Here are few of the biggest factors that could mean the end of Humanity!
9 - 1st World Tastes We're in the middle of the Earth's sixth
mass extinction crisis.
The current mass extinction differs from all others in that its being driven by a single
species, basically, us, rather than a planetary or a galactic physical process.
The last crisis began in 1800 with the harnessing of fossil fuels.
With enormous, cheap energy at its disposal, the human population grew rapidly from 1 billion
in 1800 to over 7.7 billion people today.
We'll most likely reach 10 billion by 2055!
It's estimated that no population of a large vertebrate animal in the history of the planet
has ever grown this much, this fast, or with such devastating consequences to planet Earth.
Only 71 percent of Earth's land surface is defined as habitable.
Humans use half of that global habitable area for agricultural production.
Naturally, everyone wants to enjoy the lifestyle of the 1st world countries, but is it actually
possible for that many people?
We'll most likely need to change both the ways that 1st and 3rd world countries operate
for human beings' maximum longevity.
Cameo: How long do you guys think we'll be around?
Another few hundred years?
Another few thousand?
Forever?!
Let us know in the comments!
8 - Food shortages The global food system is under chronic pressure
to meet a rising demand.
One scientific model developed by scientists at Anglia Ruskin University's Global Sustainability
Institute suggests that society may collapse by 2040.
This collapse will be due to catastrophic food shortages if policies don't change
according to the team.
The model shows that our current way of life appears to be unsustainable and could lead
to dramatic food shortages.
The science team said that they ran the model forward to the year 2040, along a business-as-usual
trajectory based on the current 'do-nothing' trends . Or in other words, what happens
without anyone moving a finger to change the way we're living and consuming now.
The results show that global society essentially collapses as food production falls permanently
short of consumption.
The UN's Food and Agriculture Organization projects that global agricultural production
will need to more than double by 2050 to close the gap between food supply and demand.
7 - Big Farming
Because we're possibly facing a food shortage crisis as we're trying to feed an ever-growing
population, there have been efforts to produce food at a massive scale.
However, we may be doing more harm than good.
Traditional cultures have developed systems of farming that maintain a natural equilibrium
with nature.
The nutrients harvested from the soil are balanced by organic waste that's fed back
into the soil.
By contrast, generations of expansion by agriculture businesses in the First World have displaced
sustainable farming wisdom.
This has produced a modern-day class of agricultural business-dependent consumeristic farmers across
the world.
These farmers buy patented seeds, they buy special fertilizers and pesticides, and they
buy machinery and fuel.
This system depletes the natural soil biology and can only be carried out up to a certain
point, after which the soil is pretty much useless.
Today, entire regions of previously rich agricultural land have been brought to ruin using these
unsustainable practices.
6 - Livestock Emission However, soil nutrient depletion isn't the
only problem here.
One United Nations report has identified the world's rapidly growing herds of cattle as
the greatest threat to the climate, forests, and wildlife.
Cultivating livestock is also blamed for a host of other environmental problems, from
acid rain to the pollution of rivers and drinking water.
It takes a lot of steps in order to produce meat.
Lots of energy is required to produce fertilizer in order to grow the feed, to produce the
meat and also to transport the meat.
The process produces 9 percent of all emissions of carbon dioxide, the most common greenhouse
gas.
And the waste products from livestock emit more than one-third of another type of emission,
methane, which warms the world 20 times faster than carbon dioxide.
Livestock also produces more than 100 other polluting gases, including more than two-thirds
of the world's emissions of ammonia, one of the main causes of acid rain.
Cows also require the use of vast amounts of water.
It takes four and a half pounds of water to produce one pound of milk!
The UN report concludes that, unless changes are made, the damage done by livestock will
more than double by 2050, as demand for meat increases.
5 - More than Honey As far as important species go, bees are at
the top of the list.
While bees aren't the only pollinators we have, as bats, birds, butterflies, and some
flies do this work as well, they're by far the best creatures for the job.
Honey bees are disappearing globally at an alarming rate because of pesticides, parasites,
disease, and habitat loss.
Bees are critical pollinators.
They pollinate 70 of the roughly 100 crop species that feed 90% of the world.
According to the USDA, Honey bees pollinate an estimated $15 billion dollars a year in
crops!
That's only the start.
We may lose all the plants that bees pollinate, all of the animals that eat those plants,
and so on and so forth up the food chain, if bees ever die out.
That means, a world without bees, means a world that struggles even more to sustain
the global human population of billions of people.
Cameo: Seriously, Where would we be without bees?!
4 - Ocean stress I'm sure you guys have heard that the marine
ecosystem is under severe stress.
Pollution, overfishing, and global warming are all slowly contributing to the decline
of the marine ecosystem.
The oceans feeds provide jobs for countless people.
However, at least 500 dead zones have now been reported near coasts, up from fewer than
50 in 1950.
Climate change is the blame for the large-scale deoxygenation in these zones, as warmer waters
hold less oxygen.
The coastal dead zones result from fertilizer and sewage running off the land and into the
seas.
Most sea creatures can't survive in these zones and current trends would lead to mass
extinction in the long run.
Obviously, a lifeless ocean is a scenario no one wants.
On top of that, as coastal construction increases and global temperatures rise, an estimated
33 percent of corals are now in danger of extinction.
Widely known as the "rainforests of the sea," coral reefs are home to roughly a
quarter of the ocean's fish and other organisms, which is why coral reef health is key to a
robust and self-sufficient marine ecosystem.
Roughly a fifth of all coral in the world has died in just the past three years.
Some experts believe that there's now just half the amount of coral that was in the oceans
40 years ago.
The biggest reason for the decline of coral reefs?
The rising water temperature.
3 - Climate change
Climate change is a hot topic, and many people debate whether it's real, or it's not,
man-made or natural.
What's not debatable is what we've actually done over the past 150 years.
We've burnt vast amounts of fossil fuels, bred huge amounts of methane-producing livestock,
and cut down many forests.
Whether or not it's natural or man-made, we're seeing the effects of a world transformed
by changing climate patterns.
As temperatures climb around the globe, scientists expect to see more intense heat waves and
prolonged droughts.
Some insects will see their geographic ranges grow, bringing diseases such as the West Nile
or Zika viruses they carry along to new regions.
There's plenty of other consequences that rising temperatures can bring, such as the
loss of sea ice and the loss of major cities.
The intensity, duration, as well as the frequency of the strongest North Atlantic hurricanes
have all increased since the early 1980s.
The relative contributions of human and natural causes to these increases are still uncertain
however.
Is climate change something we can control?
Cameo - Make sure to check out Bored Badger's take on why the world will end, in this video
right here!
2 - Too Much Plastic
When was the last time you spent a day without using plastic anything?
Plastic is all around us but it has that ONE major fault that's threatening pretty much
everything on our planet – it's not biodegradable.
To put things into perspective, if plastic had been invented when the Pilgrims sailed
from Plymouth, England, to North America—and the Mayflower had been stocked with bottled
water and plastic-wrapped snacks—their plastic trash would still be around, four centuries
later.
Single-use plastics, or disposable plastics, are a big culprit.
These items are things like plastic bags, straws, coffee stirrers, water bottles, and
lots of food packaging.
We produce roughly 300 million tons of plastic each year and half of that is single-use plastic!
Worldwide, only 10-13% of all plastic items are recycled.
In an attempt to tackle the issue, the European Parliament has voted to ban single-use plastics
across the EU to stop the unending stream of plastic pollution making its way into the
oceans.
According to the European Commission, plastics make up to 70 percent of all marine litter,
and these plastics are throwing a wrench into the natural ecosystem.
At current rates, plastic is expected to outweigh all the fish in the sea by 2050!
1 - Unsustainability
To clean their mouths in the morning, many people around the world break a small twig
from the branch of certain types of trees, chew the tip of the twig into a bristle, brush
their teeth, and then discard the twig.
It's a time-tested and remarkably effective oral hygiene habit.
Yet, many people in the First World would view this practice as primitive.
The civilized world produces and uses upwards of 4 billion plastic toothbrushes per year
—all of which add to a growing problem of accumulating waste because remember, plastic
doesn't not ever biodegrade.
This is just one such example of unsustainability.
Some of the simplest and most profound solutions for sustainability are found in ancient cultures
that have historically been labeled as backward by Western civilization.
In trying to find alternatives to sustainable practices, traditional cultures present us
with time-tested and practical wisdom.
In spheres such as farming, water management, and healthcare, there's plenty of wisdom
to be found in age-old practices.
The thing is, knowledge and wisdom are distinct concepts.
Whereas knowledge may be only theoretical in nature, wisdom is experientially verified
to be effective.
Ancestral wisdom is made up of practices that's survived the test of time, but for the sake
of convenience, mass consumption, and cost-savings, many practices aren't done.
In the end, the best human civilization possible can only emerge from a synthesis of ancient
cultures and the science of today.
First World civilizations have developed technology and science – but the push to make our lives
as convenient and as comfortable as possible has been unsustainable at best.
We're not against living in the most advanced civilization ever, but we're just saying,
we have to figure out practices that are sustainable in order to make sure we can still thrive
for thousands more years in the future.
Here's what's next!

Tough Questions: Does God hate me? | #TheWord s2e12 - Duration: 6:27.
Has anybody ever told you that God is mad at you, or mad at something that you do?
Do you really believe that?
Let's dive into it today!
(selah – musical break)
Well, sziasztok, brothers and sisters, and jó reggelt, or perhaps jó napot, or jó
estét, depending on what time of day you're watching this!
Welcome to Mission: Zer0!
If this is your first time here: my name is Shawn, and this is The Word With Friends,
the show where we take a deep dive into language and communications in order to bring us all
closer together!
People really Love to talk about the things that God hates, and particularly to point
out in you, and what you do, the things that God hates.
But let's take a really deep dive into that.
Most of the time when God is talking about something that He doesn't like He uses the
word "abomination" or some form of "abomination."
And, in fact, it's used about 152 times in the Bible.
But what does "abomination" actually mean?
(selah – musical break)
The most common Hebrew word for "abomination" is the word תּוֹעֵבָה, tow'ebah,
and tow'ebah means "that which you recoil from; that which is disgusting."
It's the kind of thing like *ugh!* But the references to it are things like: engraving
idols, worshipping idols, men wearing women's clothing, women wearing men's clothing,
lying, cheating, using unbalanced scales, breaking the common law – so this, in the
modern day, would be like speeding.
These are pretty granular, really kind of strict things that God calls an abomination
in the Bible.
Well, is that maybe just an Old Testament thing?
Did He soften by the New Testament?
(selah – musical break)
In the Greek, the most commonly used word for "abomination" – it's actually
used all 6 times that "abomination" is said in the New Testament -- is βδέλυγμα,
bdelygma, and bdelygma means "to turn away from something that's really gnasty."
Literally it means "to turn away from something that stinks."
This would be, like, smelling spoiled milk, or that wound that your friend wants to show
you that's all open and gross, or – you know – walking in on your parents having
sex.
This is something that's just like *aaaugh!* "Just get it away from me!"
In the book of Luke 16:15 Jesus says, "the things that are celebrated by man stink, and
make God turn away."
SO that sure doesn't seem like He softened from the Old Testament to the New Testament,
but can you… can you see it?
Do you get the thread, there, that I'm about to pull on?
(selah – musical break)
Let's go forward to the people who really tied this idea of "abomination" together,
and that is the Romans.
In Latin, the word for "abomination" is made up of the prefix "ab-" which means
"away from" -- like, that way -- and "ominari", and "ominari" means "to prophesy"
or "to forebode."
So "abomination" is "to prophesy away from" or "to forebode away from"?
What does that mean?
It means that "nothing good can come of this."
It means you're turning away from something that's not going to be good to watch.
It's like when you find your kid picking their nose and they start to eat it.
It's really gross; you don't want to watch that.
But it doesn't make you hate your kid.
It doesn't mean that you're going to throw them away or tell them that they're evil
and wrong and they're going to burn in a pit.
No!
You get a little grossed out and then you help educate them, "Hey, don't do that
because it's gross" or "because it's not accepted" or whatever.
This is the thing we so fundamentally get wrong when we read the word "abomination"
in the Bible.
Nowhere did any of it ever, at all, mean that God hates like we mean when we say the word
"hate."
It means "I hate it" like "Oh, that's gross; I would not do that."
But it doesn't mean that He thinks lesser of you, that He beats you down about it.
It just means no good can come of it.
(selah – musical break)
That's what the word "abomination" means; it doesn't mean something that's evil
and hated, and that you need to punish people for, or that God is going to punish people
for.
It's just something gross.
Here's a key point about that: if you don't like pickles, pickles are an abomination to
you.
But if your kid likes pickles: it's not an abomination for them.
My exhortation for us this week – heck, for this LIFETIME: stop judging other people's
pickle-eating.
You don't know if it's an abomination for them or not in God's eyes.
And even if it is, it's not for you to browbeat them about it.
And by the same token, stop letting other people judge YOUR pickle-eating!
You know if what you're doing is gross to you, or gross to God, and He'll work on
that with you.
But don't let other people shame you, and beat you down and make you feel negative about
it.
Take this message today, whatever half of it convicts you or emboldens you, or whatever
you can take, and use it to become the you-iest you you can possibly be.
And may God pour out the blessings of temperance, and understanding, and perspective, and calibration
in us, so that we can stop this back-and-forth of misunderstanding what "abomination"
means and what it is that He wants from us.
And I Love you SO much!
I really do!
Peace out!

Behind the Scenes - supporting Kikkan Randall in the fight against breast cancer | FIS Cross Country - Duration: 2:58.
I can't tell you how much it means to me
and my fellow cancer fighters
that so many of you are wearing pink ribbon this week-end
to support the fight against breast cancer.
This is a situation I certainly never imagined myself in,
I can tell you first hand,
that all the words of encouragement, support,
and all the help
have helping me get through it and come out stronger than ever.
The best thing we can all do is keep making healthy choices,
celebrate the best of human performances,
and keep ski racing, really, really fast.
It means a lot I think
to see that Kikkan is fighting
and others maybe that go through so hard sickness.
It gives you to think more about yourself,
and to live life to the fullest
and of course the health is the most important thing.
I think when you are healthy
you don't remember how happy you are.
But when sometimes you hear bad things,
you just stop and remember that
you have to be happy,
and enjoy life.
I have my pink on,
and I think it's really cool that everyone
gets a pink ribbon to race with.
Because I think everybody knows people
in their life who have had breast cancer.
Like for me I know Kikkan but also my grandma
had breast cancer.
So it's really special to have this recognition of that
and celebrate the fight against cancer
and all these people in our lives.
I only hope, and everybody hopes,
that Kikkan feels good,
We, all skiers, want to
send really big hugs to her.
