Some of my friends who get charged with crimes, want to know why should I
hire a criminal defense attorney. There's a prosecutor who spent their entire
career prosecuting people and putting people in jail, and so if you don't have
a criminal defense attorney you're sort of unguarded. If you get a criminal
defense attorney on your side, then they're going to stand up for you
and protect you from the prosecutor. There's almost no judge in this entire
state that would let you represent yourself, because it's so unfair. So if
you're charged with a crime contact our office as soon as you can
and we'll see if we're the right attorney to protect you from the
prosecutor, the court, and the system.

Learn the VOCABULARY of MUSIC - Duration: 17:13.
Hello. I'm Gill at engVid, and today we have a lesson especially for people who already
know a bit about music, but would like to know what the English words are for some of
the terminology in music. So, this is just a brief summary of some of the main aspects
of music, and to do with the way it's written, called notation; and things connected with
the theory of music; and all the technical... Well, not all the technical things; some of
the technical things connected with it. So... So that you can talk about music with people
in English. Okay? If you don't know anything about music, I hope it will also be an introduction
to some of the ideas and some of the words connected with music, and you can find other
websites to find out more. So, let's have a look.
So, music vocabulary in English. The names of the notes are: A, B, C, D, E, F, G. So,
that would give you an octave. "Octave." Well, up to the next A, that is. A to A would be
an octave. Okay? So, if you're looking at a piano keyboard, for example, those are the
notes on there; the white notes. So, we have, on the piano keyboard, if you're thinking
of music in that way, you've got the white notes and the black notes. Okay. White notes
are these letters; the black notes are the flats and sharps. Okay. So, if you know about
music already, you know what I mean. If you don't know, there are lots of sites on the
internet to find out more, if you want to do that after this lesson. Okay.
So, a flat, that's the symbol for flat, as you know, because the musical notation is
a universal notation, so it's used all over the world. So, you will know the symbols,
I'm sure, but you may not know the English words for them. So, the flat; that's a flat.
The sharp; that's a sharp. And the natural, if you need to cancel out a flat or a sharp
- that's the natural. The symbol is called "natural", there. Okay. Right.
So, then, coming down to the way the music is written, the five lines that it's written
on - that's called a "stave" in English. Okay. So, I've written a couple of examples, here,
with some of the words describing what's... What's there. So, this stave of five lines
has some notes on it, so they're notes. These are the notes. This is called the treble clef-"treble
clef"-which rests on the G, so it shows you that that line is G. Treble clef. And this
one is called the bass clef, which rests on the F. So, you know that line is the F. Okay.
So, what I've done, I've shown a time signature, here, 4:4; four beats in the bar, so the bar...
That's a bar. Up to the bar line. Okay. And with the bass clef stave, I've shown 3:4 time
signature. 3:4. Three beats in the bar. Okay? So, we call it 3:4; 4:4.Okay?
And there's also the key signature, there, for the key. So, that's the key signature,
as you know for G major. Or it could be what's called the relative minor; would be E minor
with the same key signature. E minor. Okay, so that's called a key signature, just like
this is called a time signature. Key signature, one sharp, G major or E minor.
This one, I've given it a key signature for F major with one flat. So, the relative minor
for that, again, would be D... D minor. So, that could be the key signature for something
in D minor or an F major, of course. Okay. Right. So, that's covering the key signatures
and the time signatures, the treble clef, the bass clef, the notes.
Then the spaces between the notes are called intervals in English. So, the interval could
be a small interval, like a tone or a semi-tone, or a larger interval. I haven't written them
down, but a third, a fifth, an octave. We've got octave, there. So, G to F sharp, of course,
is a semi-tone; the smallest you can get. Well, yeah. I know in modern music you can
get even less than that, but that's getting too... Too technical for me. So, the smallest
interval I can recognize is a semi-tone; G to F sharp, back to G again. Semi-tones. And
then G to A, a tone, a whole tone... So, you call that a whole... Whole tone. Okay? And
then you'd say a third, a major third, a minor third, a fifth, etc. Okay?
So, just to explain this one: "Beats in the bar" means the number of beats. Four, four,
one, two, three, four beats in the bar. This is a bar line. Okay? This one has three beats
in the bar; one, two, three. And here's another bar line. Okay.
Now, then, what else have we got here? So then we move on to note values; the lengths
of the notes - short and long. You'll be, I don't know, pleased or not pleased to know
that there are different terms used in America from Britain; we have different words. Possibly
also it's to do with whether the music is popular or classical as well, but I'll give
you both of these so that you've got both.
So, this one without a stick on it, a white note without a stick is called a whole note
in America, but it's called a semibreve in British music. Okay. In the U.K. This one,
the white note with a stick - half... Half the length of that one is a half note. So,
that's a whole note; so this one is half the length, so it's logical that the American
system calls it a half note because it's half the length of the one, there. So, a half note.
But in British music, it's called a minim. So, I can understand these are less obvious,
the British system, than the American one. But if you've learnt it this one... If you've
learnt this one, then it's... It seems normal. But anyway.
So, whole note, half note, semibreve, minim. And then this black note with a stick on - half
the length again of that one, so logically, in the American terminology, it's a quarter
note, and it especially makes sense here, because you have four of them in one bar,
so they are each a quarter of the bar. They add up to the whole bar. So, in that bar you
would either have one whole note or you would have two half notes, or you would have four
quarter notes, which is what I've got there. Okay. So, a quarter note in American is called
a crotchet in the British system. Okay. So, not very obvious.
So, then going... Going on. As these notes are half the value each time as the one that
went before - half of a quarter note is an eighth note, so it's a black note with a stick
and a little tail on it to show that it... What its value is. Very short by this stage.
And in the British system, we call that a quaver. Okay. So... And there are lots of
other notes, but I've just put the main ones here.
So, again, the note which is half the value of that one is a black note with a stick and
two little tails, and in American language, it's called a sixteenth note because it's
half the value of that one; but in the British system, we call it a semiquaver. That's a
quaver. At least there's a bit of logic, here. "Semi" meaning half. Semiquaver is half the
value, half the length of the quaver. So, those are the names for the note values; the
lengths of the notes. Okay.
And then, finally, just to finish with the general terms that are used for the music,
what you might call the elements; different elements. We use the word "tempo", which is
an Italian name, meaning the speed of the music - whether it's fast or slow, or somewhere
in between. There are a lot of Italian terms in music because music from Italy was such
a strong influence in the early days and it's still there now. So, things like allegro,
allegretto, crescendo, diminuendo are all Italian words, which musicians understand,
even though they're not in their own language. So, tempo, meaning speed. How fast or slow
is the music?
Volume or dynamics is to do with how loud or soft it is; the volume - the dynamics.
Is it loud or soft, or average, in between again? Another element, of course very important,
is the melody or tune. The tune... Word "tune" is a more popular word that everybody uses.
They say: "That's a lovely tune. What's that?" But the more technical musical word for it
is "melody". Okay.
And then there's harmony - when all the notes are sounding together. But if... If the notes
are sounding together but they're not very harmonious-meaning they don't sound so good-it
may be deliberate on the part of the composer. It can be called dissonance. "Dissonance"
meaning... Another word for that also is a clash or: "It's clashing. That music, it's
clashing. The instruments are clashing. It doesn't sound right together." Or it may just
be very modern music which has been written that way deliberately. So, there we are. So,
there is harmony but it can be dissonance if the notes being played all at the same
time don't seem to go together to your own ears. Okay.
Timbre. I was talking about Italian words, but this is actually a French word. Timbre
is to do with the sort of sound quality of what you're hearing. Especially when you recognize
a particular instrument, if you recognize an oboe, or you recognize a flute or a violin,
or you recognize just the speaking voice of a friend on a phone - it's because of the
timbre; the sort of sound quality. The characteristic sound of that particular person's voice or
musical instrument, you say: "Ah-ha. I know what that is. That's a saxophone." or "That's
a cello", or whatever; you recognize the sound of the instrument. So, that's timbre.
Rhythm is fairly obvious. These time signatures are the rhythm, but of course also you can
have rhythm that' eithers fairly regular or it may be rhythm that's quite irregular. So,
that's just an overall term for the way the notes are played in time. Okay.
And, finally, texture, it's... It's a word that's associated with cloth. If something's
a thick texture or a thin texture... This cloth is fairly thick; this is a bit thinner.
So, it's to do with what... What sounds are all being played at the same time. If you
have a thin texture, you may only have two instruments playing. If you have a thick texture,
it may be a whole big symphony orchestra who are playing with lots and lots of instruments,
all playing lots and lots of different notes. So, the texture is either thin or thick, and
it will vary probably during the course of a piece of music just for the sake of variety.
Okay, so I hope that's been a useful overview and introduced you... If you are a musician,
introduced you to the English words for things. If you're not a musician, introduced you to
something technical about music, which you can then follow up and find other sites to
tell you more. So, I hope it's been useful. So, if you'd like to go to the website, www.engvid.com,
there's a quiz there to test you on this. And so, thank you for watching and see you
again soon. Bye for now.

My Friends And Family Ghosted Me During My Pregnancy - Duration: 3:33.
My Friends And Family Ghosted Me During My Pregnancy
In the next six or fewer weeks, I will meet my daughter for the first time. This pregnancy has been nothing short of an emotional rollercoaster.
In the beginning, I battled depression. Towards the middle, I fought with rapid weight gain and extreme fatigue.
And now that I am in the last few weeks, I'm dealing with the emotional uncertainty of her being diagnosed with intrauterine growth restriction and seeing my doctor weekly instead of the usual bi-weekly for testing.
On its own, all of that would be a lot to handle. As a military spouse whose husband is in deployment season, it's been a challenge, to say the least.
But none of that has been as painful as the friends and family who've ghosted me during my pregnancy.
I used to read stories about women who were unexpectedly ghosted by friends and family during pregnancy, and I had always assumed there was always more to the story.
It didn't make sense to me that loved ones would randomly disappear in a new mom's time of need. But it became crystal clear when it happened to me.
Before I became pregnant, friends and relatives alike couldn't get enough of commenting on when our second child would arrive and all the ways they wanted to help.
My expectations were low since we live 14 hours away from our closest relatives, but I hoped for long distance emotional support when it happened earlier this year.
Instead, I got the opposite. Before I knew it, I was lucky to get a single phone call a week that wasn't from my mother.
I was hurt but not surprised that my husband's mom made no effort to reach out from the beginning. We were never really close, and she has shown almost no interest in me since we met.
But for some reason, I thought giving birth to her first granddaughter would make her want to establish that relationship. But in the eight months I've been pregnant, she has called to check on me exactly zero times. ZERO.
I've gotten no texts or Facebook messages either. It's hard not to wonder why she doesn't care enough to see how I am doing, and I would be lying if I said I haven't internalized it.
My paternal family has caused me similar pain. My grandmother and aunt haven't spoken to me in years, and they never called. If all the children on my grandmother's side were treated the same, I could easily move past it.
But my older brother had his third child this year, and they were so supportive of him that my aunt drove several hours to pick up the baby when she was a few weeks old to give her mother a break.
I didn't get as much as a "congratulations" — just a handful of "how cute" texts for my first child. This go round, my pregnancy has been entirely unacknowledged.
And it isn't just family, but friends too. This isn't the first time I've lost touch a friend during pregnancy. Almost three years ago, my best friend of five years stopped contacting me weeks before I went into labor with my first child.
This time, I've refused to get as close to anyone as I was to her because the outcome has been eerily similar. Becoming pregnant seems to make me invisible.
The "we should get together" texts are many, but the actual meetups are few. The further I got into my pregnancy, the less my phone rang. My local friends stopped inviting me to events, and I became terribly lonely.
Things haven't been all bad though. As cliché as it sounds, it's become much clearer who really cares about me.
There have been a handful of loved ones who have stepped up to fill in the gaps. I couldn't have made it through these hard times without them. Pregnancy is a hard time. Your body, brain, and even social situations change.
But the pain of it all leaves you with a beautiful bundle and a renewed understanding for who really cares for you, who really matters in your life.
Like labor, the process of building these connections has been messy and painful, but the other side of it is filled with love.

12 Terrible Things That Can Happen To Our B-Holes During/After Pregnancy - Duration: 5:32.
12 Terrible Things That Can Happen To Our B-Holes During/After Pregnancy
Childbirth truly is a beautiful and miraculous thing, but holy shit, can we also be honest and say it's a real freakin' nightmare for our buttholes? Why is this almost never discussed? Everyone shares stories about vaginal tears and episiotomies because obviously the vag takes a major beating during delivery, but our poor poop shoots are like Hamilton's Peggy Schuyler.
They're screaming for attention and nobody cares.
We know about hemorrhoids. We know we could tear down there. We know there are degrees of tearing. But where are the real, down-and-dirty in-the-trenches butthole stories? I was talking with a friend about this last week.
She didn't even tear, and yet after 3 hours of pushing, she said damn if her anus won't ever be the same. She's told almost no one about this, and her kid is three.
Why do we not talk about this (literal) shit? Is it a defense mechanism in order to ensure the continuation of the human species? Or just embarrassing?.
Either way, we asked readers to put aside their reservations for a minute and share their labor and delivery and beyond butthole stories, and y'all really delivered (so to speak). Here are a just a few:.
"I don't even know what's going on. It's like it was partly inside out after I gave birth to my son and I could feel that something weird was going on when I was pushing.
And it's still swollen? My gynocologist says is just hemorrhoids, but nothing hurts (most of the time). I guess there are just hemorrhoids that hang out back there.
But right after I gave birth and I had my first post-birth poop (which was not as bad as after having a C-section), I was like, 'WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IS GOING ON WITH MY BUTT.' Still a mystery.
And maybe one I'm not interested in solving.". I mean, she should probably try to get to the bottom of this (pun intended) with a healthcare professional, but hemorrhoids (and their aftermath) are not an uncommon occurrence for us moms.
"I am a nurse who worked postpartum for two years before I switched to nursery.
I had one poor patient who was a young woman who called me to her room and was absolutely terrified because, as she said, her 'anus was broken.' It was really just a little leakage from having pushed so hard to get the baby out, which isn't unheard of.".
Anal leakage? I don't remember this being in my What To Expect book. Poop scooping in public bathrooms. "After my first, I had expected constipation that they warned me about though I never had an issue.
Once the hormones settled down and things changed, imagine my surprise when I discovered there would be times I'd have to scoop poop out! Yup. Would just sit there, not coming out but right there trying to.
It even happened the first time in a department store with my mother waiting outside who so helpfully poked her head into the very full bathroom and yelled 'Erin, you okay? You've been in there a while!' What was I to do? Yell out 'No Mom, I'm sitting here trying to figure out a way to get this shit out of my ass without using my fingers and having to walk out into this busy bathroom to wash my shit covered hands in front of all these ladies?".
"With my second pregnancy, I then had lots of fun anal leakage… And after my second was born, I experienced what I thought was my insides constantly threatening to fall out, and when the midwife dismissed me saying everything looked fine, I had to do my own research to find that, in fact, my anus was bulging into my vaginal canal.
You guys are great. Let's see what fun anal issues this third one brings!". This is not a thing that gets talked about, WTF.
I've seen some women who have had what we call fourth degree tears, where they tear from the baby cross ways in the vagina, and then long ways to the anus, so that the anus tears as well.
Let me tell you, those ladies will never be the same after that, no matter how skilled the OB happens to be at repairing it. It is extremely painful and they can barely walk.".
Shitting on the delivery table. "I had no idea it was normal to shit in the delivery room.
I realized the nurse was wiping my ass and when I asked if I shit she just ignored me until I was insistent that I get an answer.".
Perhaps we ought to talk more about shitting on the delivery table. (We all did this, right? RIGHT?).
"I had an epidural, but my butt hole and vagina didn't numb! Of course they didn't believe me, not that there was anything else they could do.
Anyway, the poor nurse is SCOOPING poops out of my anus! I knew women usually poop on the table, no big deal.
I thought I'd have a little, but NO! She just kept scooping! It hurt, I could smell it, and I was horrified by how much poop I seemed to have. Not my best moment.".
See? This is a thing, and no one talks about it. And shitting our pants.
"Grade 3, almost grade 4, tear here with my first born. Literally had no bowel control for over a month postpartum. Shit my pants, not pleasant memories. My 2nd and 3rd were C-sections.".
I mean, yeah a C-section kinda does sound like a walk in the park after that. (We know it's not, but damn.). Purple grapes hanging from our buttholes.
"You mean besides the little purple 'grapes' aka hemorrhoids that hang just outside the poop zone permanently? Nope, nothing weird. Nothing to see here, folks.
Poop in the pool. "I don't know if this is what you mean but I had a water birth and it was disgusting because you can't control those muscles while trying to push a baby out.
They got me out and changed the water before she was born. Then I didn't poo for about a week because I was too scared of ripping my stitches!". Sorry, gentle water birthers, but weird shit will happen to your butt too.
The hell that is prolapse. "I had an anterior (vaginal) and posterior (rectal) prolapse with my second and he was a C-section. What?! Even when we get a C-section, we still can't escape anal antics! I want to speak to a manager.
"It didn't happen to me, but my OB told me that she has had patients who broke their tailbones while giving birth. Our asses are literally turned inside out.
"Besides watching it turn 'inside out' then tear open, more severely than expected, so that subsequent births left me with a strange but untroubling (thank goodness) hernia? Nah, not a thing.
In summary: Women (and their assholes) are superheroes. Now, who else has a sudden hankering for a sitz bath?.

The County Seat - Utah Farm Bureau - Farm to table - Duration: 28:51.
How far does that glass of milk or that bowl of
grapes travel before it get to your table in your
house good question hi everybody welcome to
the county seat, I'm your host Chad Booth.
That is going to be part of our discussion today
as we look at the connection between the
agricultural community in Utah how big and
how important and everybody else that lives
here so we are going to start our discussion by
taking you out to the farm via the school kids as
we take a look at how early we start the process
of making that connection between farm and
food.
The Wheadon Family was one of the founding
families of South Jordan, in 1915 my great
grandpa Alma Wheadon purchased this 40 acre
farm, and then my grandpa bought it off his dad
and he paid 200 dollars and acre for it.
So these are our Belgians, this is our Belgian
team we have always had a team of work
horses my grandpa firmly believed in doing stuff
with a horse even when a machine could have
done it,
My grandparents built this house in 1965 when
you see the aerial photos it is so compelling to
see, you just have these huge masses of land
with one farm house in the middle. And its like
that all along the Salt Lake Valley and now its
completely changed, and that was only from
1965 to now.
A few years a go we had an interesting
experience a whistle blower showed up on my
mom's doorstep at 10:30 at night , and said
there is something going on at the city that you
need to be aware of, and we looked on the city
website and come to find out the city had
sloted to take half of our farm by eminent
domain for soccer fields . We had to fight tooth
and nail and say hey, we are not going to go
down without a fight. But eminent domain is a
huge battle we are constantly battling
Number one farms are important because it's
important to have open space but farmers are
important because its important to have
someone who knows what to do with the open
space. If we develop all of our open land what's
going to happen when the day comes when the
other states that we rely on so heavily for
agriculture like California for example, when the
day comes that they can't ship us the food that
we count on then how are we going to feed
ourselves.
And its critical that we teach our youth that
there are fields in agriculture there are careers
in agriculture to be had we not only need to
encourage that we need to reward it,
So in 2nd grade they do its called farm field days
they do it out at Butterfield farms in Harromon
and then they do 7th grade ag days which we
just hosted here for the first time this last year
had a great experience had thousands of 7th
graders here at the farm and are looking
forward to doing that in the future. And its
important to show these kids that there are
still, agriculture is not a think of the past it cant
be a thing of the past.
Farm build Field days is the Farm bureau's way
of teaching elementary kids about agriculture.
As a way to introduce kids to cows and field
crops and things and those things they don't get
a chance to experience anymore because they
live in homes in sub divisions and stuff like that.
What is this, an apple, an apple is a what? A
fruit!
Instead of hearing well we experienced this at
grandpas farm, now it's our family used to have
a farm or our great grandpa used to have a
farm. Especially in the north end of Utah County
more and more of the farms in this area are
gone.
Utah County is at a tipping point where if we
continue to build over our agricultural ground,
we will in I think its in 5 more years we will no
longer be able to raise enough food and fiber in
this area to sustain the population,
As I have become more involved with the farm
Bureau and I go to state conventions and things
and meet farm kids from other parts of the Salt
Lake Valley, it's interesting to hear their stories
to and to not feel so alone, here where we are
completely surrounded and feel like we are
fighting a loosing battle and I go and meet other
farmers in Salt Lake County and they are
fighting the exact same battle we are fighting
here in South Jordan and there are so few of us
clinging hanging on for dear life.
We will continue our discussion and I cannot
really say what all the guys say on network TV
about we are going to get into the weeds
because the guys we are talking to don't want
anything to do with weeds when we come back
we will talk to our experts on the county seat.
Welcome back to the county seat we are talking
about the linkage between home and farm and
how many people are missing the mark joining
us for our continuing discussion of the
importance of understanding how agriculture
plays a role in our daily lives our Millard farm
bureau Jared Bueller and the state farm bureau
president Ron Gibson. Guys thanks for joining
us.
Thanks for having us.
So before we started the show Jared you
related a conversation about a kid who said
what chickens make tell us that story that sums
up the problem we have.
When you we get to farm field days they ask
they see the chicken they see the feathers some
of these kids do not know that eggs come from
chickens. So it's a pretty crazy question when
you are born into agriculture and not
understanding that somebody would not know
what a chicken does.
I remember my grandfather raising chickens at
his house and he would go out there on a
stump and go get a headless chicken and by
dinner time we had chicken dinner so I
remember that but I guess how do you think we
lost that connection.
Well there is no way to bring that point home
then to actually live on a farm or a ranch just
like the story you just talked about. I think the
biggest challenge that we have in society today
is that people are so removed from agriculture
everybody less than 2% of the population of the
US work in production agriculture. That means
that 98% of the people don't so when we are
not close to the agriculture and we do not see
how animals are raised and taken care of and
how that process works people lose track of
how important it is and how it works.
I am thinking back on this Utah has lost 65% of
its Animal Monthly Units a mama and a calf in
what they eat in month in the last 50 years how
big is that population shift then, do either of
you have any ideas we are down to 2% of the
population involved in ag production was if 15
or 20 percent 50 years ago how big has that
shift been.
I do not know I do know that in 1916 when the
Utah Farm Bureau was established we have
been in business 100 years advocating for
farmers and ranchers when that was
established we had to have about 30% of the
people involved in production agriculture so in
100 years' time we have gone from 30% to 2%
Holy smokes, that is quite a bit. So what kind of
problems does this create for you when people
in the Wasatch Front have no idea what it is
that you do in Millard County?
Me personally I manage an Intermountain
Farmers store in Delta Utah so I make a living
with the farmers so I see it wide if the farmers
go out because they cannot make it anymore it
is huge and not our personal farm my wife's
family runs a big cattle operation I take care of
them but every time somebody goes out of
business it hurts me personally you see it from
small farms it goes to a bigger farm but it don't
take as many people to run a bigger farm then a
whole bunch of little one.
Rob you operation is a dairy operation and you
live across the magic bridge because you get off
you are in Ogden it's a very urban then you
head out towards your farm and you cross the
bridge and then all of the sudden you are like in
an entirely different world its actually very
stunning to see the difference how quickly it
changes, what do the people in Ogden need to
know what is going on in your side of the
county to protect that without your dairy
products the grocery store in Ogden could end
up being dicey.
We live in a unique situation a lot of people
want to live out there it is starting to be the
trend. My wife can get 3 Walmart's in five
minutes from my house yet we have a 1500
cow dairy on 500 acres of land that our family
owns and so it is really kind of a unique
situation out there one thing that is important
to us on our farm and also in the farm bureau
we have to make sure that with only 1% of the
population agricultural producers we have to
make sure that the people in town understand
the importance of agriculture in our
communities if they do not understand the
importance of production of agriculture in our
communities then we are going to lose support
with the laws that are created that will make it
more and more difficult to stay in business.
That leads me to a couple question we will take
a quick break and be right back with our
conversation about the importance to you in
the city about the farm across the way we will
be right back on The County Seat.
Welcome back to The County Seat we are
talking farm and city today I do want to ask a
question though and people go to the grocery
store in Ogden they pull milk and a pound of
hamburger out there they may not realize that
Stones meats a local company provided the
beef they got from ranchers across rural Utah
and that milk came from your place if all of the
sudden those operations were gone how long
would it take or how much milk in Ogden is
coming from your dairy?
Well that is a great point a lot of times people
get this mentality if they just go to the grocery
store they are not buying local products that is
not true you can go to Walmart today and the
milk that is in Walmart is Utah milk all of it the
milk that is in Kent's market is Utah milk and
that is really an important thing to have do you
want your milk brought in from clear across the
country or even worse somewhere out of the
country I don't. and to me that is important a
lot of the fresh produce that is grown especially
during the summer months comes from local
family farms and ranches it is important that we
have local agriculture I cannot even imagine
living in a world where we do not have the
ability to feed ourselves as a state I want to eat
local tomatoes I want to eat that local produce I
of course want to drink that local milk.
Also on that same subject there are so many
people that are moving into Utah and in our
area they are trying to get a hog farms to come
to Millard County as a farm bureau organization
we have met and we want to be behind it if
they fit we would like to bring those hog farms
into Millard county and Smithfield operation
and get behind them and I know they are
working on getting one in the Fillmore area
right now they tried to bring one into the Delta
area but it did not go through. But if we have
that many people moving there is going to be
75,000 people I heard in Wasatch county when I
grew up there was probably 30 or 40 dairies in
Wasatch County ran a dairy and my father in
law ran one there are only 2 dairies left in
Wasatch County probably 50 at one time. Who
is going to feed these people if we don't keep
bringing some of these expansions to our
communities that can fill the farms?
It seems to me there are 2 issues are play one is
a population issue and education issue as far as
having people understand how close
connection between their food supply and the
grocery store actually is and the other one has
to do with legislative policy and what
legislatures do when they are under urban
pressure of being elected and how those urban
guys who control the house and the senate
right now need to pay attention what the rural
guy is saying we need to do to protect
agriculture across the state. How does farm
bureau approach that?
One thing we are doing is we are making a lot of
effort to try and get legislatures onto our farms
so they can see it and we have had 3 events this
year where we have reached out to them to try
and get them to come out and we have had
really good turnouts from that I think legislators
really enjoy it deep inside of everyone's heart is
a tie to agriculture. We have a corn maze and
pumpkin patch on our farm and we had almost
35,000 visitors this year part of the trip is a farm
tour when you pay to come to the corn maze
you get a farm tour and you get to see the baby
calves you get see the cows being milked the
cows live and you get to witness the harvest we
are harvesting the crops all at the same time.
Every time people get off that wagon and after I
have given the tour they walk up to me and
they say my Grandpa or my Uncle was a farmer
I used to go to Idaho in the summers and work
with my cousins everybody wants a tie back to
the agricultural root I think is something that is
very natural inside of us and now as people are
moving farther way from the farm they are
looking for an opportunity to see that so what
farm bureau is trying to do is tie to that
emotional connection that they have so they
can really see and understand how agricultural
producers live their lives and the importance
that agriculture brings to our communities both
economically and culturally.
What kind of things are you doing down in
Millard County?
We as a board year ago was have somebody
from our board attend all the county
commissioner meetings so we already know
what is going on before it actually they have a
hearing or something. Brett Bunker for instance
he was attending some of our meetings and we
threw him out there and 3 or 4 months later he
is on the city council just being involved with
what we are doing as we are going into this we
are trying to have this dinner this year and it's
called feed Millard County by Millard County
with Millard County. What we did is make sure
it corresponds with our fair in August and we
have the local beef producers from farmers
donating lamb and pork the vegetables and
pumpkin pies people do not even know that
pumpkin pies are raised in Millard county now
so we had milk. Local folks selling wheat in 5
gallon buckets and had wheat rolls made and
honey you came through with about 10
different items for 5 bucks that was all local and
signs make that talked about the producer so
everything you got we charged 5 dollars and
250 tickets sold out and every year it will be
sold out even back to my wife made quiche
from the local egg farmers as you came through
you got to see every bit of what was just in
Millard county.
A local feast. Going to take a break when we
come back we talk about how people can be
engaged in helping advance this knowledge of
still the connection between farm and food. Be
right back with the County Seat.
Welcome back to The County Seat we have
been having a discussion about farm bureau
and their role in trying to connect people in the
city to understand that not too far away from
them is local food. I want to ask one question
because Farm Bureau is kind of an enigma just
like the farm is for a lot of city folks. What is
that you guys do on behalf of Utah's agriculture
community?
We always are advocating for local agriculture
and there is sometimes a misconception of
what that means we work at the legislature that
we can help try to pass laws that will be
beneficial to local agricultural producers but
when we do that we are not just working for
farmers and ranchers across the state what we
are doing we are working for every Utah and
the reason that we are is that it is so important
that we have that local agricultures here in our
community that is why it is so important that
we are working for everyone.
We don't want all of our spinach in the produce
department to be wilted as it got shipped from
Wisconsin. What can people do to help farm
bureau along. I live in the city what is the value
of saying I want to be a farm bureau member.
The value is first of all membership for Utah
Farm Bureau is 72 dollars a year so for 6 dollars
a month you can support local Utah agricultures
and first of all be a member of farm bureau and
by doing that it gives us the funds to be able to
do the things we need to do to advocate the
local agricultures and that open space that we
all enjoy and it is such a value to have that local
ag in our community and for you to be involved
in that really helps those that are involved in
production and agriculture be successful.
How do you join?

Why hire a criminal defense attorney? | The Law Offices Of Lance Fryrear - Duration: 0:47.

Jose Mourinho SLAMMED for WRECKING Man Utd: We don't give a sh** about his titles - Duration: 2:44.
That is the view of former French footballer Christophe Dugarry. The 47-year-old is not at all happy about Jose Mourinho's tenure at Manchester United
And in an interview with Le10 Sport, he ranted about the misfortunes of the Red Devils
"It's unbearable. He's wrecked the club," Dugarry said of Mourinho "When you see them play on Tuesday, it's catastrophic, it's awful, when we all remember Manchester with Roy Keane, Beckham – all the great players, they played offensive football
"It was beautiful and passionate. Old Trafford was the Theatre of Dreams, now it's the Theatre of Nightmares with this guy
It's crazy." The biggest defence of Mourinho this season has been his ability to win numerous titles over the years - a fact that Dugarry doesn't seem to care about
"What he doesn't understand is that we don't give a sh** about his titles, we just want emotion and to watch good football, which he's incapable of giving us, but he won't realise that because he's so far up his own a***," he said
Dugarry played for some top European clubs including Barcelona, AC Milan and Bordeaux before finishing his career at Birmingham City in the Premier League
He finished his tirade by once again swiping at Mourinho's achievements. "We don't care at all about what you've won, mate," Dugarry said
United have endured a pretty dismal season so far. READ MORE: FELLAINI REVEALS WHAT PLAYING AT OLD TRAFFORD IS LIKE They're seventh in the Premier League and haven't impressed for the most part in the Champions League
Mourinho has continuously defended himself by using his previous achievements - but the Portuguese will have to focus on the upcoming busy Christmas schedule if United are to keep up with their league rivals
United travel to Southampton tomorrow before hosting Arsenal on Wednesday in a huge clash that could once again make or break the 55-year-old's season

This is Why The Warriors Keep LOSING Without Stephen Curry (Ft. Durant, NBA Ball Movement) - Duration: 5:31.
The Warriors have looked… weak without Curry.
They've went 5-6 without Curry, but why?
It's time to break down the Warriors without Curry.
What is up dudes, dudettes, ballers, players.
It's ya boi MJ.
With Curry returning tomorrow, I thought it would be a great time to look at the Warriors
who go from possibly the best team in league history with Curry to a lottery team without
Curry.
But first, subscribe if your new, turn on post notifications to get these videos, and
hit that like button for the amount of Curry no look 3s, 4130 for a video on Tuesday.
That's just disrespectful Curry.
And let's get into it.
So I'm gonna get the stats outta the way just to show Curry's importance.
In the last two seasons, whenever Curry has sit and Durant has played, the Warriors are
21-20.
And the reverse, when Durant sits and Curry plays, the Warriors are 25-9.
Just this season, the Warriors are +118 in 399 minutes with Curry on the floor and -8
in 407 minutes with Curry off and their 3 point percentage has dropped by over 7%.
You gotta remember, the Warriors went 73-9 with Curry and won a championship, they were
that team without Durant because Curry was at the center of the Warriors.
What Durant is to the Warriors is a luxury.
He takes the Warriors from the best team in the NBA to the best team in NBA history, but
at the core of Warriors basketball is Stephen Curry.
Warriors basketball is moving the ball around the perimeter and taking 3 pointers.
Even Durant said that they don't have the personnel to do that and that's the point.
With Durant at the helm, Warriors basketball turns in OKC iso ball.
Remember when Durant and Westbrook used to be together on the Thunder?
Damn good times, except when it wasn't.
And remember the iso ball and the non-existent passing?
Yeah, the Warriors turn more into that type of team without Curry.
The ball stops with Durant.
On the Thunder, it would be Durant or Westbrook with the ball and everyone else kinda stand
stills.
They would make their move after holding on to the ball for a bit.
This would work if their shots were falling, but no one else could get involved or get
into a rhythm.
And it can still work because Durant is just that great, but it's not the best basketball.
You can see on these possessions how everyone is standing and it results in Durant making
a play whether it's a shot or a forced pass.
It's what I criticized Durant on in last years conference finals when Kerr told Durant
to move the ball.
And once Durant started to move the ball, the Warriors found their stride.
Except without Curry, that iso offense is what the Warriors offense becomes.
They don't have Curry's presence that draws defenders out to the half court line.
They don't have a floor general who is great at setting up plays whether it's for him
or him being a decoy.
I mean, he damn broke off Kawhi without the ball.
And yeah I'm still on that.
Curry tries to get everyone else involved so much so that Steve Kerr has had to tell
Curry to not worry about his teammates so much.
Durant kinda becomes like a LeBron carrying the Warriors but that holds the Warriors back
because the Warriors got so many more assets and an established way of playing.
Klay Thompson still does his normal stuff and moves off the ball, but he isn't the
floor general that Curry is.
Green on the other hand can be the floor general, but doesn't demand that offensive presence.
So they become a slightly above average team with a super star, a dpoy and a streaky shooter.
There's nothing special about their offense because it's just like OKC Thunder basketball.
The Warriors defense also gets worse marginally when Curry is not there because players are
just less involved with this iso ball, not because Curry is this lockdown defender cause
he's not.
This in turn leads to a team that is being carried by Durant rather than the Warriors
team that splits the load.
It takes a 51 point performance by Kevin Durant to lose to the Raptors.
I've said that Curry is the toughest player to guard in this league and I think Giannis
might have something to say about that but Curry's impact on the floor is intense.
Now you would expect the Warriors to get worse without a star, but the Warriors don't really
drop off without Durant.
It's because Durant has a different style of playing that has less of an impact than
Curry.
And simply put, when you lose the best shooter in NBA history who also is a 2 time MVP who
changed the game, you will get worse, but this is why the Warriors can't seem to put
it together.
But what do you think?
Will Curry solve all their problems?
Is Durant gonna stay or leave?

Words that Sound Dirty, but Aren't - Duration: 3:34.
So there I was, in the middle of my fartlek in the assart, when I saw a dikdik.
It was a tiny dikdik.
Welcome to Legion of Weirdos, where you get contemplations and conversational curiousities.
I'm Christopher. Today, we're talking about words that sound dirty, but aren't.
Let's start with "fartlek." It's a word used by athletes in Sweden. It's a kind of interval training.
And the Swedes came up with it, so you know it's good, like a Volvo.
See, what you do is, you run really fast, then you run really slow, then you run really fast, then you run really slow, then you...
That's it, really.
It kind of sounds like an insult, though. "You're really slow. Lick my farts."
"Assart" is an old English term for clearing land to make it arable for crops.
It also means "to deforest." Assart... Deforestation... Now I'm picturing a waxing salon.
A "dikdik" is the smallest antelope in Africa,
so now you know my opening statement is a lie, because I've never done a fartlek.
Anyway, the dikdik gets it's name because it's a real d bag.
"Patron" doesn't sound dirty, but it's worth mentioning because of my Patreon peeps.
Gary... Christopher... Tim.. Patti... Alex... Daniel... Gma Lolly... Fatale 83
A "bumfiddler" is someone who pollutes or causes something to spoil.
Then there's "clatterfart." I've heard a few of those.
A clatterfart is a gossip.
A "dreamhole"... those are glorious. It feels so good.
The sunshine, I mean. A dreamhole is a slit in a castle wall
that lets the sunlight in. It's also a place where the guards can peek out at you and shoot their arrows.
If you've ever taken your girlfriend to Dubai, you know to look out for "haboobs."
If haboobs get up in your face, before you know it, you won't be able to see anything.
That's because "haboob" is an Arabic word referring to sandstorms.
"Invagination" means to put something into something else.
That doesn't sound so innocent, does it?
What they're really referring to is taking a sword and putting it into a scabbord sheath...
Let's move on...
"Jaculate" means to thrust forward suddenly... NEXT!
"Mastication." I love mutual mastication.
I also like to eat out together.
"Formication" is an interesting word
Because if you mistook that "m" for an "n" you're thinking something completely different
from the feeling of having bugs all over your body.
Or maybe you're into that. I'm not judging.
"Piloerection." I know some of you girls and boys are getting really excited hearing that
but it just means "making your hair stand on end," which also could be exciting.
"Turdus maximus" isn't just the silly nickname I gave my little brother that semester I took Latin class
it's actually a bird.
"Galactic bulge" is the center of a galaxy made up of older stars...
Wait a minute, is the galaxy made up of older stars or is the center of the... I'm going to need help on this one.
Hi, Christopher!
Our galaxy is shaped like a giant, rotating, cosmic disk
about 100,000 light years across,
and home to about 400 billion stars.
Our sun is located about 26,000 light years from the galactic center
and, like all the stars in the disk, orbits around the center in roughly the same circular, flat pattern.
As a result, our disk is only about 1,000 light years thick this distance.
But as you get closer to the galactic center, the stars take on highly inclined orbits at very random inclinations.
So, as seen from a distance, the galaxy appears to thicken, or bulge, as you get near the center.
And that's the galactic bulge,
the central region of our galaxy, which can be as much as 10,000 light years thick.
That's ten times thicker than it is out here in the disk.
I hope that helps! See ya!
That guy Christian is a lot smarter than me, I'm gonna go watch him. You wanna join me? I'll link his channel!
Thanks for watching, 'til next time, stay weird and stay out of the comfort zones.

Episode 1222 | The Line: State Certifies 2018 Elections, But More Still To Be Done - Duration: 12:01.
>> THE 2018 RESULTS ARE NOW FINAL AFTER THE STATE
ACCOUNTANCY BOARD CERTIFIED THE VOTE EARLIER THIS WEEK.
THERE ARE THREE RECOUNTS HOWEVER THAT NOW HAVE TO
HAPPEN IN STATE LEGISLATIVE RACES.
DUE TO TIGHT FINISHES OF COURSE.
AND STILL A COURT ISSUE OVER THE SECOND CONGRESSIONAL
DISTRICT WHERE A JUDGE AGREED TO IMPOUND ABSENTEE BALLOTS.
WOW.
SO YVETTE HERRELL'S CAMPAIGN CAN CHECK FOR ANY VOTING
IRREGULARITIES.
THAT IS AFTER ROUGHLY 8,000 ABSENTEE BALLOTS SWAYED THE
RACE IN HER OPPONENT'S RACE LATE IN THE GAME.
AND DURING THAT CERTIFICATION HEARING THERE WERE COMPLAINTS
FROM GOVERNOR MARTINEZ AND THE REPUBLICAN PARTY LAWYER ABOUT
HOW THE SECRETARY OF STATE'S OFFICE HANDLED ABOUT 2800 OF
THOSE ABSENTEE BALLOTS.
THE COMPLAINT IS A PROCEDURAL
COMPLAINT, A LITTLE BIT OF DIFFERENCE THERE, BUT THE
GOVERNOR SEEMED TO QUESTION VALIDITY BECAUSE THE VOTERS
DID NOT HAVE TO SIGN A BALLOT APPLICATION.
A BIT OF A LITTLE WEIRD ELECTION STUFF THERE.
BUT, LET'S DO THE GOVERNOR FIRST.
IS SHE RIGHT IN HER ASSESSMENT?
>> 100% RIGHT.
BECAUSE, IT IS NOT A WEIRD THING IN THE ELECTION DEAL, IT
IS THE LAW.
>> WHICH PART OF IT?
>> THE LAW SAYS THAT YOU HAVE TO SUBMIT AN ABSENTEE BALLOT
REQUEST WITH A SIGNATURE, PERIOD.
END OF STORY.
IT DOESN'T SAY YOU CAN USE AN ALTERNATIVE SIGNATURE,
ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE.
THEY DIDN'T EVEN USE ELECTRONIC SIGNATURES.
THEY JUST MATCHED UP THE ABSENTEE BALLOT REQUEST WITH
THE DATA THEY HAVE.
AND NOW I AM NOT SAYING THAT MAY NOT BE THE WAY OF THE
FUTURE OR MAY NOT BE BETTER.
MAYBE THEY DO GET MORE INFORMATION BAY MATCHING UP
ERIC'S REQUEST WITH ERIC'S DRIVER'S LICENSE AND ALL THAT
OTHER STUFF.
BUT, THE LAW DOESN'T ALLOW FOR THAT.
AND, YOU KNOW, LOOK, I THINK THAT THERE WAS A HUGE GRAB BY
THE SECRETARY OF STATE, I DON'T BLAME SECRETARY OF
STATE, YOU KNOW, THEY DID THIS IN MARCH.
WHEN SHE MADE THESE CHANGES, SHE SENDS OUT THE
ANNOUNCEMENTS.
EVERY TIME THERE IS ANNOUNCEMENTS GO TO THE
REPUBLICAN PARTY HEADQUARTERS, THE REPUBLICANS GET THEM, THE
DEMOCRATS GET THEM, PEOPLE THAT ARE ADVOCATES GET THEM
AND THE REPUBLICANS APPARENTLY DECIDED IT WASN'T IMPORTANT
ENOUGH TO LOOK INTO UNTIL AFTER IT MADE A DIFFERENCE.
I DO THINK THE PROBLEM IS THAT SHE DOESN'T HAVE THE STATUTORY
AUTHORITY JUST TO GO IN AND SAY I AM GOING TO CHANGE THE
WAY WE DO THE ABSENTEE BALLOT REQUEST FORM.
PERIOD, END OF STORY.
NOW THEY GOT THE VOTES.
THEY GOT THE GOVERNOR, THEY ARE GOING TO SAIL THROUGH
WHATEVER THEY WANT TO GET DONE.
I GET IT BUT TO ME YOU COUPLE THAT WITH THE JUDGE NOT
IMPOUNDING THE BALLOTS WHEN THE LAW CLEARLY SAYS THAT ANY
CANDIDATE CAN SHOW UP, PAY $25 PER PRECINCT, AND THEY SHALL,
NOT THEY MIGHT, THEY CAN THINK ABOUT IT.
TO ME, I DON'T THINK ANYTHING IS GOING TO MAKE THAT BIG OF A
DIFFERENCE IN THE OUTCOME OF THE ELECTION BUT NOW YOU HAVE
AN INCOMING CONGRESSWOMAN THAT HAS THIS CLOUD OVER HER, IS
THIS DONE RIGHT?
AND TO ME IT COMES BACK TO THE SAYING, I USED TO BARK ALL THE
TIME IN THE LEGISLATURE, WHEN NOTRE DAME GOES TO PLAY
WESTERN NEW MEXICO UNIVERSITY, WHY DO THEY EVEN HAVE THE
PERCEPTION OF CHEATING?
THEY ARE GOING TO POUND WESTERN NEW MEXICO UNIVERSITY.
IT SEEMS LIKE IT AS GRAB.
I THINK THE GOVERNOR WAS RIGHT AND I THINK IT IS GOING TO
CAUSE PROBLEMS.
>> THIS SIGNATURE THING...
>> WE HAVE A GOVERNOR WHO SIGNED HER HUSBAND'S ABSENTEE
BALLOT REQUEST TWO YEARS AGO.
IT IS A LITTLE FUNNY.
>> IS THERE A BACKSTOP THAT THE SECRETARY OF STATE HAS IN
PLACE TO GIVE YOU COMFORT, MEANING IF WHAT DAN IS TALKING
ABOUT, IF THINGS DON'T QUITE MATCH UP, THERE IS OTHER WAYS
TO CONFIRM THIS PERSON IS THE PERSON.
>> THERE IS OTHER WAYS TO CONFIRM.
THEY HAD TO SIGN THE VOTER REGISTRATION FORM.
I THINK THERE IS AN INTERESTING CONVERSATION
HAPPENING ACROSS THE COUNTRY ABOUT SIGNATURES.
I WAS LOOKING AT MY SOCIAL SECURITY CARD THE OTHER DAY.
I MUST HAVE BEEN 12 WHEN I GOT THE THING BECAUSE THE
SIGNATURE LOOKS LIKE IT WAS DONE BY A 12 YEAR OLD, LOOKS
LIKE ME IMITATING MY MOM'S SIGNATURE ON A SICK NOTE, BUT
THIS ISSUE OF HOW WE VERIFY THAT SOMEBODY IS THE VOTER, I
THINK, IS A LARGER ISSUE.
SIGNATURES HAVE BECOME SORT OF OBSOLETE IN THIS ARENA.
ALL THAT SAID -- >> THERE IS A WAY TO SIGN ON
THE COMPUTER, HOW DOES THAT COUNT?
>> ULTIMATELY, THOUGH, IF THIS RESULTS IN BETTER ELECTION
PROCEDURES FOR THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO, WHETHER THROUGH
THE LEGISLATURE OR HOWEVER IT WORKS, I THINK THAT IS A PLUS.
I THINK THAT IS A PLUS.
THE OTHER THING TO BE IN MIND, IT IS GREAT WE ARE SEEING THE
EXERCISE OF DUE PROCESS AND ALL THAT KIND OF STUFF BUT THE
NUMBER OF BALLOTS THAT ARE IN QUESTION HERE DO NOT MOVE THE
NEEDLE.
IN TERMS OF THIS ELECTION, THERE IS NO QUESTION AS TO WHO
WON THIS ELECTION.
IT ISN'T GOING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE SO THE QUESTION IS
DOES YVETTE HERRELL GET ENOUGH OUT OF IT FOR THE MONEY SHE
SPENDS TO DO THIS WORK, IN ORDER TO MAKE IT WORTH HER
TIME OR DOES SHE DROP THE ISSUE?
THAT REMAINS TO BE SEEN.
>> YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS.
IT IS INTERESTING WE TALKED ABOUT IT IN THE GREEN ROOM
ABOUT FRAUD SITUATIONS.
ARE YOU MORE OR LESS COMFORTABLE WITH OUR SITUATION
NOW WHERE THE SECRETARY OF STATE IS COMING FROM ON THIS
ONE?
>> I ALWAYS ERR ON THE SIDE OF CAUTION AND I AM VERY
CONCERNED ABOUT THAT WHEN WE RUSH TO DO SOMETHING AND
IMPLEMENT SOMETHING, WE DON'T ALWAYS PUT THE PROPER
SAFEGUARDS IN PLACE.
AND, I WOULD BE VERY INTERESTED PARTICULARLY ON THE
SUBJECT OF SAME DAY VOTER REGISTRATION.
THERE ARE, I BELIEVE, 15 OTHER STATES THAT DO IT.
WELL, WHAT DO THEY DO TO ENSURE THAT THAT IS LEGITIMATE
AND THERE ARE NO FALLACIES IN IT?
>> ARE YOU COMFORTABLE THOSE QUESTIONS COULD BE ANSWERED IN
SESSION IF THIS COMES UP?
IT IS GOING TO COME UP.
>> IT COULD.
I THINK THE THING ABOUT IT IS THERE ARE TWO MAJOR ISSUES AS
I CAN SEE IT ON ELECTIONS ASIDE FROM THE FACT I DO
BELIEVE THAT SHE WAS WRONG ON THIS.
THE LAW DOES SAY.
NOW, IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE IT, CHANGE THE LAW FIRST.
AND THEN DO IT.
I AM NOT ARGUING WHETHER IT IS A GOOD THING OR NOT, BUT DON'T
DO IT UNTIL IT IS THE LAW.
THE OTHER IS OPEN PRIMARIES.
AND THAT TO ME IS A WHOLE POINT OF THIS DISCUSSION WAS
THAT IT WOULD ENCOURAGE MORE PEOPLE TO VOTE.
WELL, WE HAD, WHAT, 55% VOTER TURNOUT?
THAT IS AMAZING.
SO, TO GET MORE I THINK YOU'LL GET A LOT MORE IF YOU ALLOWED
THE PEOPLE WHO ARE DECLINE-TO-STATES AND
INDEPENDENTS AND ALL THOSE TO VOTE, BUT ONE OF THE CAVEATS
IS, THEY CAN'T VOTE IN BOTH ELECTIONS.
YOU KNOW.
BOTH PRIMARIES.
YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE ONE OR THE OTHER.
SO, THERE ARE SAFEGUARDS THAT CAN BE PUT IN PLACE, TO ME,
THAT SAYS WE COULD GET MORE PEOPLE VOTING.
THAN JUST BEING ABLE TO GO AND DO IT THE SAME DAY, ELECTION
DAY.
>> YOUR GOALS MATCHED UP WITH THE SECRETARY OF STATE JUST
COMING FROM A DIFFERENT -- >> FROM A DIFFERENT
PERSPECTIVE.
>> THE SENATOR MENTIONED SAME DAY VOTING AND OPEN PERMITS --
SAME DAY, MAGGIE TOULOUSE OLIVER WAS PUSHING FOR THIS
AND SEEMS LIKE SHE DROPPED THE IDEA OF SINGLE TICKET,
WHATEVER THAT WHOLE THING WAS.
BENEFITS OF SAME DAY?
YOU SEE IT AS THE SAME?
CLEARLY BENEFITS THERE?
>> YOU KNOW, THE THING IS DO WE AS A STATE, AS A NATION,
WANT TO ADDRESS THIS DISMAL VOTER PARTICIPATION RATES WE
HAVE.
SORT OF THE OUTLIER IN TERMS OF VOTE DEVELOPMENT.
[MULTIPLE VOICES] >> FUNDAMENTAL CHOICES.
DO WE WANT TO DO EVERYTHING WE CAN TO MAKE IT EASY FOR PEOPLE
TO PARTICIPATE IN DEMOCRACY REGARDLESS OF THE PARTY OR
CONTINUALLY STOKE THIS FEAR THAT THERE MIGHT BE, YOU KNOW,
THE CHUPACABRA AND THE YETI AND THIS VOTER FRAUD ALL SHOW
UP, BECAUSE THERE IS NO THERE, THERE.
ASIDE FROM SOME CRAZIES WHO WERE PERPETUATING THESE MYTHS,
THE MINUTE SOMEBODY SHOWS UP WITH CREDIBLE EVIDENCE ON
VOTER FRAUD, THEN WE OUGHT TO PUT SYSTEMS IN PLACE BUT IT
DOESN'T EXIST.
AND SO ANYTHING, SAME DAY VOTER REGISTRATION, WHICH WE
KNOW HAS INCREASED VOTER PARTICIPATION, OPEN PRIMARIES,
AUTOMATIC VOTER REGISTRATION, WHICH ALLOWS PEOPLE TO DO
THIS, AND YOU KNOW WE'RE SOPHISTICATED ENOUGH
TECHNOLOGICALLY AND SECRETARY OF STATE AND MOST OF THE
COUNTRY, THEY CAN FIGURE OUT WHO IS VOTING AND WHO HASN'T.
I REMIND PEOPLE, LIKE, IF YOU VOTE ILLEGALLY, IT IS A CRIME.
SO, WHO IS REALLY GOING TO GO OUT THERE AND SAY, I THINK I
WANT TO COMMIT A FELONY JUST SO I CAN VOTE.
>> WHAT IS THE NUMBER OF LEGITIMATE VOTERS.
WE HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT VOTER FRAUD SINCE THE DAY I
WAS IN LEGISLATURE AND CAN'T GET A NUMBER FROM FOLKS LIKE
THE DEMOCRATS TO SAY WHAT IS THAT NUMBER.
MARY HELEN GARCIA HAD IT RAISED IN A PRIMARY.
THERE WERE OVER 100 CASES OF IT.
THEY WERE BROUGHT DOWN.
THEY FILED CHARGES ON SOME OF THESE PEOPLE.
PEOPLE WENT TO JAIL.
WE HAD ONE IN ROSWELL THAT HAPPENED WHEN I WAS THERE.
SOPHIE IS TALKING ABOUT THE GOVERNOR.
I THINK WE POO POO -- >> WHO DID NOT GO TO JAIL.
>> WHEN WE POO POO THAT THERE IS NO VOTER FRAUD, I THINK THE
VOTER FRAUD DOES EXIST AND I THINK THAT WHEN WE DON'T SIT
AND TALK ABOUT THE ACTUAL PROCESS, LIKE, FOR INSTANCE,
SAYING ON THIS APPLICATION, THIS ONLINE APPLICATION, THE
STATUTE VERY CLEARLY SAYS, THAT IT IS NOT THE SECRETARY
OF STATE'S JOB TO VERIFY SIGNATURES, IT IS THE COUNTY
CLERK'S JOB TO VERIFY SIGNATURES.
WHY DID THEY SAY THAT WHEN THEY CREATED THE LAW?
BECAUSE THE PERSON IN SANTA FE DOESN'T KNOW WHO ERIC IS.
SUPPOSEDLY THE BERNALILLO COUNTY CLERK KNOWS WHO ERIC
IS.
THERE IS A LOT OF THINGS THAT I THINK AT THE END OF THE DAY
I DON'T THINK ANYBODY IS OPPOSED TO MAKING IT EASIER
FOR PEOPLE TO VOTE BUT THERE HAS TO BE THE -- YOU HAVE TO
HAVE THE SAME, I THINK, THE SAME ZEAL AND ZEST FOR SAYING
WE WANT TO MAKE SURE EVERY LEGITIMATE VOTE COUNTS AND
WHENEVER SOMEBODY CASTS AN ILLEGITIMATE VOTE THAT
SHOULDN'T BE CASTS, IT DIRTIES THE ELECTION.
>> THAT IS JUST SUCH A RED HERRING TO TRY TO KEEP PEOPLE
FROM VOTING.
IF WE HAD 100% VOTER TURNOUT AND A BUNCH OF FRAUD PROVEN --
IT IS LIKE PROVE THAT THERE IS A FRAUD.
>> WE HAVE PROVEN THERE HAS BEEN -- MARGINAL.
[MULTIPLE VOICES] >> WE HAVE LOWER TURNOUTS IN
RACES, SMALLER NUMBERS MAKE BIGGER DIFFERENCES.
IT COST MARY HELEN GARCIA A RACE, A DEMOCRAT.
IT WASN'T THAT BIG OF AN ELECTION.
I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT WHAT I THINK.
IT IS THE FACTS.
THE NUMBERS THESE PEOPLE LOSE BY, THEY ARE IMPORTANT.
AM NOT SAYING YOU SHOULD -- >> FOR EXAMPLE, WE HAVE A RACE
I MENTIONED EARLIER ABOUT WHICH IS STILL COUNTING, 27
VOTES IS THE EDGE, MARTIN ZAMORA OVER GEORGE DODGE.
>> BUT EVEN AT THE HIGHER LEVELS, RIGHT?
IT IS EASY FOR US TO SAY, OKAY WE GOT THIS VOTE THAT IS BEING
DECIDED BY ONE OR TWO DEALS, BUT YOU HAVE THE CONGRESSIONAL
RACE DOWN SOUTH, I DON'T THINK IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE BUT
CONGRESSIONAL RACE DOWN SOUTH AND IN THE LAST PRESIDENTIAL
ELECTION THERE WERE 3400.
[MULTIPLE VOICES] >> YES THEY HAVE.
THERE HAS BEEN 3400 ABSENTEE BALLOTS THAT WERE REQUESTED IN
THE LAST PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION AND IN THE NON-PRESIDENTIAL
ELECTION, 8500 ABSENTEE BALLOTS WERE REQUESTED.
THE JUDGE SAYS WE ARE NOT GOING TO IMPOUND THOSE UNTIL
AFTER THE CANVASSING COMMITTEE MEETS AND CERTIFIES THE
ELECTION.
WHAT HAPPENS NOW?
IF YVETTE HERRELL FINDS 5,000 DEALS THAT ARE WRONG, I AM NOT
SAYING SHE WILL, DOES THE STATE CANVASSING COMMISSION
COME BACK AND UNDO IT?
THE PROCESS -- PEOPLE ARE LOSING FAITH IN THE PROCESS.
>> SINCE YOU'RE ROLLING HERE, FINISH WITH YOU, LAST 20
SECONDS.
HER IDEA ABOUT IS SHE GOING TO HAVE TRACTION IN THE
LEGISLATURE THIS COMING SESSION WITH THIS IDEA?
>> YOU SEE THE OUTCOME OF THE ELECTION?
REPUBLICANS ARE INSIGNIFICANT.
IT DOESN'T MATTER.
>> WHEN WE COME BACK TO THE LINE, FAILED PLANS FOR A
MUSEUM IN BELEN.

Nets Guard Called 'KD Burner Account' After Kevin Durant Praise | Heavy.com - Duration: 3:27.
Nets Guard Called 'KD Burner Account' After Kevin Durant Praise | Heavy.com
Sometimes, even the valiant effort from one NBA player to show love to another can lead to things going off the rails.
Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie found that out first hand on Thursday night.
During the Golden State Warriors' eventual overtime loss to the Toronto Raptors, Dinwiddie, like all NBA fans were left in awe by Kevin Durant's play.
Specifically, when Durant drained a wild fadeaway 3-pointer to send the game against the Raptors to overtime, Dinwiddie couldn't contain himself.
He posted on Twitter: 'Holy sh**.
KD a bad dude.".
Following Dinwiddie's reaction to the play, it seems he received some jokes on Twitter for being a fake account, or specifically a "KD burner account.
" Shortly after, the Nets guard had to follow up on his original tweet by confirming that he most definitely was not a burner account.
Obviously, fans were likely just giving Dinwiddie a hard time, but it was pretty good for whoever first dropped the joke.
Kevin Durant's Huge Night vs. Raptors.
Although the 131-128 overtime loss for the Warriors snapped a three-game winning streak, there was still reason for optimism.
Golden State was without both Stephen Curry and Draymond Green while facing one of the NBA's top teams.
Toronto has compiled a 19-4 record this season and hold a 10-2 home record as well.
Durant still put the team on his back when it mattered most, pouring in 51 points on 18-31 shooting with 11 rebounds and six assists.
Even with the high volume of shot attempts and Kawhi Leonard's defense, Durant only turned the ball over once in 43 minutes.
Although it may not have been enough to get a win here, it goes without saying the Warriors likely won't need this level of production from the star once Curry and Green return.

6 reasons why coffee makes our lives better | Natural Health - Duration: 3:41.
6 reasons why coffee makes our lives better.
We love coffee not only because of the great taste.
Coffee also has some benefits for our skin, health and more ...
Time and again, studies prove that coffee is health-promoting.
Of course, it should be consumed in moderation, but against four to five cups a day is no
objection.
More specifically , a healthy person a day may take a maximum of 400 milligrams of caffeine
.
If someone tells you: coffee is not good for us, then take a coffee in your hand and drink
it with relish.
Because we know better, right?
Here are six proofs:
1.
Coffee keeps you young.
Brewing coffee releases antioxidants that counteract and rejuvenate the skin aging process
. The degree of roast of the coffee beans depends on the strength of the antioxidant
power.
Especially lighter and medium roasts have a strong antioxidant effect.
So, honestly, what better than a delicious anti-aging weapon?
2.
Coffee reduces the risk of skin cancer.
The National Cancer Institute in the US has found that coffee consumption can reduce the
risk of skin cancer by 20% . The ten-year study has shown that the subjects were mainly
protected from aggressive black skin cancer (malignant melanoma).
3.
Coffee provides more energy.
Coffee is known to stir and serve as a wake-up agent.
The reason for this is the caffeine it contains, which stimulates the brain and increases its
concentration and performance .
4.
Coffee protects the liver.
Several studies show that coffee drinkers have less liver damage . Caffeine can counteract
liver fibrosis and reduce the risk of liver cirrhosis.
On top of that , the whole thing has a good effect on our skin , because the liver is
the central detoxifying organ and therefore also connected with our skin.
5.
Coffee protects against Alzheimer's.
Two to five cups of coffee a day reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer's disease later
on.
For example, a research team from the University of Bonn and Lille (France) found in a study
that coffee inhibits tau protein , which is deposited in the brain and is one of the main
indicators of Alzheimer's disease.
6.
Coffee promotes well-being.
Coffee provides good mood and wellbeing, as caffeine stimulates the production of endorphins,
which provide good mood.
The National Institue of Heath has also found in a study that regular coffee consumption
(in moderation, of course) reduces the risk of depression by 10%.

Raptors' Kyle Lowry Starts Interview With 'No Dumba** Questions' | Heavy.com
Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry had no time for bad questions ahead of the team's game against the Golden State Warriors Thursday night.
And he made sure that was immediately known in his pregame interview.
As Lowry stepped in to talk to the media prior to the primetime game, he opened with one statement that he referenced a few times after.
"Don't ask me no dumba** questions.
After the very first question in which Lowry was asked about the noise surrounding games like this, the Raptors guard was obviously not interested in that question.
"Another regular season game, you already know.
I just said, no … you know what that is." Lowry said.
He then had a back-and-forth with another reporter who asked why the game was "just a regular season game," in which Lowry went back-and-forth pointing to it being the regular season.
He even went as far as asking the reporter multiple questions in order to explain how this was just another game on the Raptors schedule.
Raptors Hold off Warriors in Overtime.
Although the game between the Raptors (19-4 now) and Warriors (15-8) may have been another game to the players, it came with a playoff atmosphere.
The matchup was televised on TNT and boasted a matchup that some believe could wind up as an NBA Finals preview.
Obviously, we're quite a bit away from that, but it featured plenty of action on the court.
The eventual 131-128 overtime win for the Raptors even brought a wild clutch shot from Warriors star Kevin Durant which sent it to overtime.
As time was expiring in the fourth quarter, Durant drained an incredible 3-pointer, pushing him to 51 points on the night.

Kawhi Leonard, Lowry Post Solid Lines vs.
Warriors.
It may have just been another game, but while Durant poured in 51 points, the Raptors had a well-rounded effort led by the 37 points and eight rebounds of Kawhi Leonard.
The team's offseason acquisition shot 14-24 from the field while playing a team-high 44 minutes.
He also got plenty of help as well.
Both Pascal Siakam (26 points) and Serge Ibaka (20) topped the 20-point mark while Lowry fell just shy of a triple-double with 10 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds.
The Raptors had seven players score eight or more points and shot 52.2 percent from the field, doing just enough to hold off the Warriors' second-half comeback.

How to do a Back Carry in a Tula Baby Carrier (or other SSC) Using a Hip Scoot - Duration: 5:12.
Hi, I'm Rachel and this video is going to show how to do a back carry in your Soft Structured
Carrier.
I'm going to show a method that is really quick and easy to learn if you are a beginner
at putting your baby on your back.
I'm going to start by holding up your carrier and you're going to put the waistband on your
hip.
I'm going to let this panel fall down.
I'm going to fold the waistband toward me and place it on my hip.
I'm going to loosen it slightly, take my buckle through the safety elastic, and buckle it
on at my waist.
I have it slightly loose so that I can slide it because what I'm going to do is I'm going
to put baby on my hip and then I'm going to slide the carrier around to the back.
I have it loose enough that it can slide but not so loose that it's going to push down.
So I'm going to tighten it slightly so I can slide it but it's not going to push down.
Okay.
The next thing I need to do to prepare my carrier is to loosen the shoulder straps.
I'm going to loosen them a lot, nearly all the way out, especially this back one (the
one toward the hip where I'm going to scoot baby).
Now I'm going to pick up my baby.
Are you ready?
Do you want to go on my back?
I'm going to pick up my baby and I'm going to hold him on my hip like I'm going to carry
him on the hip.
I'm going to take my hand underneath the panel and smooth it up over his back.
I'm going to take his arms underneath both straps so one arm under this strap and the
other arm under this strap.
The strap that's by my arm, I'm going to hold it for a moment with my arm.
Then I'm going to reach behind me and take my hand and grab it.
I'm going to take my arm into this strap.
If it's loose enough, I can get it all the way over my shoulder or I can hold it in the
crook of my arm with my elbow.
Now, I have baby on my left hip.
My right arm has the strap on the elbow or on the shoulder already.
My right hand is going to hold this front strap right underneath of baby's arm.
So my baby is totally secure.
He's got both straps under his arms.
I have one strap on this shoulder or you can hold it with your elbow and the other strap
I'm holding securely with my right hand.
Now I'm going to lift my left hand up and over his head like I'm going to do a swimming
stroke and I'm going to take my hand to his little bottom and continuing to hold this
strap, I'm going to slide him.
As I slide him, I'm going to keep holding this strap.
I'm actually going to hold both straps with one hand now to keep them snug.
Scooch.
Scooting him around until he is centered on my back.
When I feel like he's centered, I'm going to take my arm into this strap.
Now I have both straps on my shoulders.
I'm going to lift up holding my straps nice and tight, buckle my chest clip, and now I'm
going to take my hands to the strap here and tighten them.
I'm pulling down and back.
One side might need to tighten a bit more.
Alright, now I have him securely on my back.
I'm going to do a little bit of adjusting.
First I want to make sure that my chest clip is in a comfortable position.
I like it just below my collarbone but you can slide it up or down until you find a comfortable
spot for you.
I'm going to make sure my waist band is nice and snug.
So I'm going to take a moment and just kind of give that a little pull since I had it
a little loose to start.
And i'm pretty set!
I'm going to check and make sure these two sides are both evenly tightened and there
you have a quick and easy back carry.
To get down, you're going to reverse the process.
So I'll loosen these shoulder straps, leaning forward slightly.
Loosen it a lot.
I'm going to unclip my chest clip, holding both strap securely.
I'm remembering that I had baby in my left arm, so I'm going to take the left strap off
and bring it under my arm.
Now with one hand, I'm going to hold these two straps together.
I'm going to loosen my waistband just a tiny bit so it will slide.
I take my arm back sliding him back over toward the crook of my arm.
When I have him where I can almost reach him, still holding these two strap securely, I'm
going to lift my arm up and over him and bring him back to my hip.
Now I can take off this strap and we're done.
Alright so that's a quick and easy way to get your baby on your back with your buckle
carrier.
Thanks!
Bye!

How to Do a Back Carry in a Tula (or other SSC) using a Superman Toss - Duration: 3:40.
Hi, I'm Rachel and this video is going to show how to put your baby on your back with
your soft structured carrier.
I'm going to start by holding my carrier by the waist straps with the decorative panel
turned toward me.
I'm going to fold the waist band down and then I'm going to turn around and place the
waist band on my back.
Then I bring my hands forward and find my buckle, bring it through the safety elastic,
and then I'm going to buckle it, making sure I hear it click.
Now I'm going to tighten it.
I like my waistband at my natural waist.
That's the most comfortable position for me.
You might want to play with your waistband positioning.
What's comfortable for you will depend on the size of your baby.
You have to kind of try and see what's comfortable for you.
Okay, the other thing I'm going to do before I begin is I'm going to loosen my shoulder
straps.
I don't want them too tight when I start.
If they're too tight when I start, I find it hard to get it nicely adjusted and I find
it hard to get the straps up over my shoulders.
So I'm going to loosen these.
I've loosened them a lot.
Now I'm going to come get my baby.
Would you like to go on my back?
Yes?
You want to come up?
Alright I'm going to show a superman toss with a toddler.
So I'm taking my thumbs and placing them on his chest, like this.
So I'm holding his torso.
Can you put your truck down for a minute?
No, truck's going to come up with us.
Alright, I'm holding his torso with my hands, not his arms.
I'm going to swing, ready, one, two, three!
I'm going to swing him up and over my shoulders, like I"m putting on my superhero cape.
Uh oh!
Your truck fell down!
I'm holding him by the hands for a moment till I can get my hand back here to his bottom.
So now I have my hand on his bottom.
He's not going to fall because I'm holding him.
I'm going to leave one hand on his bottom.
My left hand is on his bottom.
That's my dominant side, so Iike to hold him with that side.
My right hand is going to go behind me.
It's going to go under the panel and now I'm going to bring the panel over his back and
hold his bottom with the panel on it.
Once I have that panel on his back, I'm going to reach for my straps and put them on my
shoulders.
I'll bring this strap up to my shoulder.
Okay, now I can feel that the panel is over his back about up to mid back.
You can also glance back and make sure the panel is on his back.
I'm not going to take a hand off of him until I'm certain that the panel is covering his
back.
Now I'm going to take both straps in my hands and I'm going to pull up like a Y pull.
So I pull my straps up and out and I'm going to lift up on the straps and bounce a little
bit and what that does is bring the carrier panel a little higher on his back.
That gets him nicely seated.
Now I'll slide my hands down the straps and buckle my chest clip.
Then I'll slide my hands a bit further down the shoulder straps and until I find where
it adjusts.
And then I'm going to pull back and down until I feel like he's securely against my back
and he's not able to move around.
And there we have a back carry in your Soft Structured Carrier!
Thanks!
