Over the last few weeks, we have seen multiple different food recalls here in the United
States.
We've got romaine lettuce, ground turkey, ground beef, cake mixes, whatever it is, we
seem to be going through a massive amount of food recalls for containing Salmonella,
E. coli, and other harmful bacteria and diseases.
Joining me now to talk about some of these recalls is Scott Hardy from topclassactions.com.
Scott, we're in the time of year right now where getting together with lots of people,
eating lots and lots of food, is kind of what's going to be happening for the next month or
so right now.
What an awful time to have so much of our food, the food supply contaminated with things
like Salmonella and E. coli.
Especially we just came off Thanksgiving a week ago.
This, this is really bad for American consumers, isn't it?
Yes, it is.
And it's, it's funny, as I'm sure you've seen on Facebook the running joke of, oh my gosh,
now I can't even eat romaine lettuce, but at least my cake won't give me E. coli, so
I'm just going to have to stick to a pie and sweet treats this Christmas vacation and Hanukkah
rather than risk eating anything that's meat related.
You know, we've, we've had romaine lettuce that's come out.
We had Jenny-O ground turkey that says that could have E. coli And Salmonella.
We had beef that says that it could have E. Coli, Salmonella.
You know, these meat processing facilities are having major issues in trying to, you
know, give us a product that, that we could actually eat safely.
And it is quite scary that we're seeing these recalls at least once a week right now.
And it's nice that the FDA is on top of things and finding these problems and getting it
recalled.
But you have to wonder, especially when we're seeing these massive recalls of hundreds of
thousands of pounds of meat products is how many more out there that haven't been recalled
yet.
And what exactly is causing this contamination?
Why aren't the meat packers and meat processors actually tracking it down so that this holiday
season, we don't have to worry about getting stuck in the bathroom from Salmonella or worse
having to go to the hospital and having major problems because it can land you in the hospital.
Right, and so far I believe one woman out in California has actually died as a result
of this contaminated meat.
And here's the thing, I actually learned this not long before you and I sat down here.
The industry, the meat industry specifically when you're talking about the ground turkey
and the ground beef, they have saved $12 million dollars because this administration that we
have in power today rolled back some of the safety regulations so that companies could
save $12 million.
So they didn't have to test all the food.
They didn't have to properly wash equipment.
So saving $12 million is what has helped to put us in this situation today.
People need to understand one simple fact about the US government and that is, regulations
save lives.
When we cut those regulations, we the people do not benefit one bit from it.
We haven't saved money on our meat since they cut these regulations like they told us it
would.
They haven't created new jobs from cutting these regulations.
The only thing that's changed is that we have deadlier food and corporations.
The meat packing corporations have an additional $12 million in the bank right now.
Right, and it's, as you mentioned, a woman's already died because of this contamination.
And $12 million might go ahead and give a penny or two to a stock price for these corporations
and help the top executives, but they don't help the average consumer who's actually consuming
these products and even if they're following instructions could still get sick.
So it's really disheartening and sad that the Almighty dollar is causing these companies
to try to shave off a few bucks, save some money, but it's hurting consumers.
It's making people get sick.
It's helping cause these massive recalls when in fact they could just go ahead and keep
on testing.
My gosh, clean your equipment more often and we might not see these kinds of recalls and
Salmonella outbreaks like we are.
Right, and you know, corporations are so happy to save that $12 million, but how much of
a hit are they going to take now that people are afraid to buy ground turkey and rightfully
so.
Afraid to buy ground beef and rightfully so.
I mean afraid to buy romaine lettuce or cake mixes from Duncan Hines, I believe it was
that had them a recalled.
They're going to lose so much more money than they saved just because they wanted to take
the shortcuts and that's what we always see with these corporations.
They want to take whatever shortcut they can because it's going to save them money in the
immediate future, in the immediate future, but over the long run, which corporations
don't even seem to look at anymore, this is going to cost them so much more in both litigation
and lost sales because people have lost faith in their products.
Yeah, and when you're looking at these lawsuits that are being filed, and I know there's another
beef recall which just happened today, don't even have the data in front of me yet, I just
saw it right before we went live and we're seeing more and more of these recalls for
us.
You mentioned everything from the Duncan Hines cake mix from months ago to the romaine lettuce
now to the ground turkey and ground beef when the government should be adding additional
regulations, not cutting them.
These are things that the corporations may say it's going to cause price increases, but
as you stated, the Trump administration has gone ahead and cut back on regulation for
the meat industry.
It may have cost this woman in her life.
It only saved $12 million and for a billion dollar company, $12 million is a drop in the
bucket, but a person's life is worth much more than that.
And frankly for me, I want my family to be safe, so add more regulations to make sure
that the meat and the products that me and my family are consuming is safe.
Double check it, triple check it, make sure that that equipment has to be cleaned, do
what you have to do to keep us safe.
That's what we require and depend on the government to do.
Don't start rolling back these controls which can make us sick.
Right, and a lot of people, you know, they could get Salmonella or they could get E.
coli, they're going to have a very bad couple of days, but they're going to walk away just
fine.
This is not, you know, a massive death sentence or hospital stay for the average person out
there.
But if you take a child, an elderly citizen or anyone with a weakened immune system of
any kind and suddenly you're looking at a life threatening condition because you decided
to have a taco night or because you decided to have burgers.
That shouldn't be a death sentence for anyone in this country and unfortunately I'm afraid
that's where we are today with the lack of proper regulations with these industries.
Yeah, it's sad and I'm hoping that we can see that the administration will stop cutting
these rules which are hurting their constituents.
They're hurting people out there and start leaning on these corporations to take better
care and make sure and enforce it because while they're cutting these regulations, while
they're laying off employees, that should be doing more tests because I know that the
FDA is actually understaffed for enforcement of these regulations.
We need to be taking care of the American people and making sure that what they're eating,
what they're consuming is safe.
Absolutely.
There are several links in the description of this video.
You go to topclassactions.com through those links, they have full lists of some of the
items that have already been recalled.
As Scott has mentioned, those are going to be updated as more and more different products
get recalled, but please check out those links.
Make sure you do not have any of those products in your home, and if you do dispose of them
immediately.
Scott Hardy, topclassactions.com.
Thank you very much for talking with us here.
Thanks for your time.
I appreciate it.

Ivan Perisic lifts lid on his failed move to Old Trafford - Duration: 2:56.
Ivan Perisic has revealed he was on the brink of joining Manchester United during the summer of 2017 - but opted to remain with Inter Milan
The winger, who scored for Croatia in the World Cup semi-final and final earlier this year, was persuaded to stay by Inter boss Luciano Spalletti
And despite being flattered by Jose Mourinho's interest, the 29-year-old insists he is happy with the decision he made
Perisic told FourFourTwo: 'It's true that an offer from Manchester United was on the table – I was really close to leaving Inter
'When Luciano Spalletti arrived [in June 2017], he showed tremendous desire to keep me in the team and made it clear he didn't want to lose me
'That was very encouraging, and I haven't regretted my decision to stay at Inter
In football, small details in these situations are key.'Admiration from a coach like Mourinho is definitely something that flattered me
It's confirmation of hard work and good performances. 'When you're praised by a guy like Mourinho – the manager of a huge club like Man United – it's difficult not to think about such an offer
I'm glad he has a high opinion of me. These things motivate me to work and train hard, to achieve the best performances
' However, despite committing his immediate future to the Italian club, Perisic refused to rule out a future transfer to the Premier League
'In football, you never say never,' he says. 'From the beginning of my career, I've had the ambition to play in as many big leagues as possible, and I still have that desire to test myself in other leagues
And I mean in the Spanish or English leagues.'I hope Inter fans understand my point of view
I'm an athlete and a professional, I like challenges and this is my driving force
What the future will bring, I don't know. Now I'm focused on Inter, as we try to make a bigger step forward from last season

Treating PORES! How to Clear blackheads and make pores appear smaller! - Duration: 9:09.
Hi guys, welcome back to my channel if you're new here, my name is penny
I am a certified advanced esthetician in Portland, Oregon
And today we are gonna talk about pores and what we can do to make them look smaller how we can really address
kind of large pores
Now there's two things that cause primarily large pores one is age and the other is overproduction of oil
Now these take two different kind of protocols to address. So I want to start with oil
first of all a pore is simply put the
opening of skin where your hair follicle where your hair comes out we have about 5 million of them on our entire body and
Attached to that is something called a sebaceous gland the sebaceous gland is responsible for producing something called sebum
Sebum is an oily substance that you know, it conditions that hair follicle
It conditions our skin are important in our you know general skin
survival now
Sometimes some of us have overactive sebaceous glands. They produce too much oil
some of that oil gets clogged up inside the pore along with that hair and
Can harden up and when it's exposed to air in the environment it can turn dark
That's when you see blackheads now
How do you treat that over time as as that stuff builds up in your pore?
It can just and it can stretch the pore
So it's important that we keep those pores clean clean pores are able to look smaller
so there's one ingredient you guys that is so so important that you use if you
Suffer from large pores due to oily skin and that is salicylic acid
It is a beta hydroxy acid
And the reason why this one is real orden is that it is oil loving
salicylic acid is able to dip down into that pore and
dislodge the debris from the kind of lining of the pore it
Likes that oil
So it's able to get in there loosen up debris in your pores
so that it can be then removed really want to look for washes that contain 2% salicylic acid or
salicylic acid lipo hydroxy acid one of those things
Super-important now I have talked about this one before this pigment Claire from LA roche-posay
This one is excellent for congestion for oil
This one does not dry out your skin attend either
So it's excellent if you have blackheads, but you don't have oil another one. That is really really good
You guys is by Neutrogena 2% salicylic acid wash you can get it at the drugstore and it's stellar
product for under ten bucks
now the next thing that you're gonna want to do step two is you're going to want to exfoliate and
It's super important that you don't over exfoliate your skin with harsh scrubs
So what you want to do is you want to look for a scrub that has really fine grit
and hopefully also combines a cocktail of acids as well one that I really love you guys is by
Dermalogica and this is the thermo foliat now. This one has lactic acid
It has salicylic acid and it has retinol in it along with super fine
Grains that really gently exfoliate your skin and I love that
It combines the chemical with the manual so it's probably like a top-three
Exfoliator of mine now another one that I love very much is the Clarisse de this is an excellent retexturizing scrub
This is not an acid but because it's a keratin soluble laser
It's able to kind of get rid of that excess debris on the surface
Which kind of just keeps it clear from getting clogged into your pores. This one is excellent as well
now one that I wanted to mention that it is a really good price point and it's just an excellent scrub is
By my shell now. This one is a fruit enzyme scrub now
this has jojoba beads in it and bamboo and it is excellent because it also uses
Enzymes and it's gentle this is an excellent post wash with salicylic acid
Exfoliator love this one very much and it's somewhere around 10 bucks. Just a really good exfoliator at a great price point
Now what you want to do with treatment is you want to look for niacinamide?
now niacinamide and salicylic acid are your partners in crime when it comes to treating overproduction of oil and
large pores
Niacinamide is so great for helping with your barrier function
Regulating oil production and with collagen stimulation. It is an excellent vitamin
it's a vitamin b3 and I cannot emphasize enough how much it can help you with your large pores and
With your oil it's just excellent. Now, there's a couple of products that I really like that contain. Nice in mind
One of them is the elta MD UV clear. This one's excellent because it also protects your skin, which is important
It's an SPF 46, but it contains high purity niacinamide
This is great. If you have rosacea, if you have oil product issues, it's great for acne it sits
Well under makeup, it does not feel heavy. It's an excellent sunscreen, but that high purity niacinamide is what is in here?
That is super important
If you have oil problems, or you have large pores now
The other thing that is excellent is by Misha now
This is called time revolution the first treatment essence intense. This one is a lot like the SK 2
Treatment essence only this one is a fraction of the price it contains those fermented properties
That is so well loved and so great for your skin. But this one has nice in amide in it
and it just excellent you guys I think that this is just a
power couple when it comes to combating oil and when it comes to combating large pores
Really really great couple now. Also Paula's Choice does make a
Ten-percent niacinamide booster that one looks amazing as well. You just want to remember that 10% or higher
Niacinamide is something that's a booster
Typically, you would add that to some other product 5% nice and Mike can go directly on your skin. No irritation
now the last thing is protecting your skin and it's super important to do that this
Checks that box, but if you don't want to use this one you want to look for one that says non-comedogenic
You definitely want everything in your arsenal
Non-comedogenic so that it's not clogging your pores
now when we want to flip over to pores due to age the main thing that you want to do is reinforce that
collagen framework that collagen and elastin
so what you're really going to want to do is incorporate some retinoids to help stimulate collagen and really just help to kind of
bolster up that
network that is protecting and keeping our skin youthful as long as possible so that it doesn't stretch and sag and
Also nice and amide hugely important because it helps with your skin barrier and it also helps with collagen production
So if you are suffering from pores due to age really considering adding in a retinoid and niacinamide
Now there are a couple
Extras that I want to tell you about that really can make a big difference in your pores that you can do at home
Number one is invest in a skin spatula this one
I have I use here in the treatment room and this one puts out like 28,000
Oscillations a minute or something like that
I put it onto wet skin and you push all of those vibrations literally push the water that's on your face or the mist
Through your pores and help to really push out debris out of your pores
Using a skin spatula after you have done a cell silic acid wash to loosen up
The debris can clean out your pores very well without doing anything crazy harsh to them
You really don't want to pick and poke at your skin as much as you can. Avoid it
So a skin spatula is an excellent choice for keeping those pores super clear
The other thing that you might want to consider and this goes for both age and this goes for oil production is LED
Red LED light not only helps stimulate collagen production you guys, but it's also anti-inflammatory
And it definitely helps to regulate oil production
and helps to shrink the sebaceous gland and in turn the sebaceous gland produces less oil you suffer from
overactive sebaceous glands really consider
LED therapy at home or going and getting an in-office
Series of treatments of LED it really can make a great difference
Not only on your sebaceous gland activity, but on the collagen in your skin
Which only helps down the line with your pore size. I really hope that this was helpful
you guys have any questions or

Crucial Conversation Episode 1 | Confession | The Lead Speakers - Duration: 3:27.
the year was 2000. In fact 2000 2001 - and many years after that. I hardly spoke
to my parents maybe, a few times in a year. Even when I was in Chandigarh and
stayed a few minutes away from home in a hostel I always looked for reasons to not
visit home on a weekend. January 21st 2002 - Papa passed away! that very year my
first job took me to Mumbai. My distance grew even further it's not that I didn't
love my parents I loved them and they loved me immensely in fact, I was a super
pampered child. I got everything without ever having to ask for anything
and yet, all they wanted in return was for me to study and build my career but
you know what I wanted I wanted freedom! Freedom to be with friends, to party, to
do things on my terms but, that wasn't allowed. I came to Mumbai
a few months after Papa's death. Finally, I had all the freedom that I wanted in
life I was living life on my terms nobody to question me nobody to ask me
why am i doing what I'm doing? I was happy but you know what, I still felt a
Void I missed papa!
Thouh I connected with him internally but, what about mom?
I really missed her but, I wasn't talking to her maybe once in six months. I didn't
know what to do? you know I always dreamt of having a cool mother like they show in
the movies but, here was my mom! she was like a Hitler! That dreaded look that she
gave me every time she sensed something fishy, my god! how scared I was of that
look, and how I hated her but I also loved her and I missed her and somehow I
wanted her to know that aren't there times when unsaid unspoken expectations
end up souring a relationship even the most precious one's mine was on the verge
of a collapse and there's a reason why I'm sharing this today stay with me for
the next few weeks and maybe my story will help you identify some of your lost
relationships!!

SPINACH AND ARTICHOKE KETO EGG BAKE - Duration: 8:16.
This is Sugarless Crystals your sugar-free destination of YouTube enjoy
me I'm your friend and oh now that now we back to the recipe
all over again and this one is mine personally okay yeah I did it myself
and what you have here is a spinach and artichoke kill egg bit now I tasted it
already and it was quite quite tasty coz he spins did was kind of my thing back
in the day well it wasn't my thing I liked it if somebody else bought it I
definitely ate it but see now the thing with Kido you you have cracker options
and I just kind of got to my little flax crackers kick but because of the
estrogen levels and flex I kind of trying to stay away from it but you know
for a tea day how kind of bent a little bit let's go ahead hop into the recipe
I'm starting out with about two cups of spinach
I don't dummy that spinach kind of cooks down so I added another two cups yeah so
it ended up being like a total of four cups of spinach and it still would look
like like a half cup but anyway we know it's for when we started out and I
simply added like a little bit of olive oil into the pan like it didn't I mean
if you really wanted to measure it out what you thought you needed to I will
say about a teaspoon and I didn't salt and pepper it because I'm just gonna use
all the flavoring from the actual egg bake itself now I have my artichokes
that came out of a can I simply went to Walmart they got from smalls
now I originally thought maybe I could use like 1/4 of a cup but these came in
like I guess these were small these were supposed to be the small buds but they
weren't small so I actually used two of those and just
broke them apart with my hand and spreading them out into the cash flow
this next came the green onion now to me like onion and egg is like matrimony
teasing I mean you make just let's just go to get so it no so I used about a
fourth of a cup of green onion I didn't measure it out in a cup but I can't do
this all the time I there was a fourth of cup next came two cheeks
now I used a half a cup of Parmesan cheese now if you want to of course you
can always mixed up and toss in some mozzarella if you want to or extra
parmesan I mean you really can't have too much cheese if that's your thing
especially you know it's like cheese and eggs that's another matrimony made in
heaven cheese and eggs in the morning yeah definitely now that we have all our
main ingredients in the casserole dish we're gonna put this to the side
now we're gonna welcome two eggs for Aikido egg bit of course you can do this
first I mean it's kind of one of those things like order really doesn't matter
so you can do it first or do it last I mean that's up to you real quick I'm
gonna let I'm gonna give you like a quick little monologue of me cracking
eight eggs I swear it took like five minutes
but anyway so after cracking the eggs I added in the sour cream and that was a
fourth cup of sour cream to add it in then I add a teaspoon of Himalayan pink
salt now a teaspoon oh I questioned was it too much but actually tasting the egg
clove no not at all and then I added in a
tablespoon of garlic powder now what I wanted to do was I wanted to actually
have actual garlic in there but see the thing is like this is a globe so what
would it happen it just all would have sunk to the bottom and I don't want the
situation of someone to bite into a piece of the egg big and thinking about
full of garlic you know I'm saying so I thought the smartest thing to do was
kind of like the spread around in the itself so when you begin to mix this up
your nose especially the sour cream is cold it's kind of fighting with you a
little bit that's cool don't worry about it push through some of the seasoning
will also like cling to the sour cream you know density they really they really
try to teach us um in science class when it came to two liquids and density and
how things mixed together I'm not gonna jump into that like you know you know
our yes I will ramble quick fast and in a hurry so we're gonna take it 300
degree oven and we're gonna bake it for about twenty to thirty minutes
now of course the middle of the egg is still gonna be a little a little soft
now you also have the option to kind of leave it in the refrigerator and lightly
let it sit overnight my mother used to do like a egg bake herself I don't I
don't know where she's gotten a recipe from but I think she used milk so I said
no no but of course the edges will Brown as well oh and what I forgot to add was
make sure you spray your pan down the first time I made this oh my the egg
stuck to the sides of my pan and see this is the casserole dish I used to
take pictures I thought I'd lost it I was like I don't even remember where I
got the casserole dish from should be about time for this thing to come out
the oven i'ma pop it out real fast take some photos and then I'm gonna taste it
and we'll go from there see then alright so I got the dish here
in my hand now it didn't it's still stuck to the casserole dish I thought
maybe to all my help but uh I guess it's just an egg thing now a quick couple
tips about this thing now you can always go with frozen spinach over the regular
or the fresh out yeah fresh you could always go with the frozen over
the French technically like I don't know I rather do organic when it comes to
vegetables like really liked it free of the pesticides and things like that but
if you want to go with the frozen that's fine too just like cut them in half I
think it comes in 8 ounce packets so do 4 ounces you can do the eggs or you can
do the cash flow juice first but don't put the eggs in the casserole dish
before you put the ingredients in there yeah that's the custom nice and cold
it's definitely sort of really well is it spinach and artichoke dip absolutely
not you can taste the spinach the eggs are saw it grate the Parmesan
cheese is a standout as much as I would like it to I will probably increase them
as I said extra cheese is always a good thing
dispensing the artichoke stands out more than anything else I guess that's a good
thing considering that's the main flavors it's not edgy at all because I
would like the Parmesan cheese to stand out a bit more in the meal so I have a
cup you may want to go up a little bit more in there that's all I got for today
to be honest I mean it's so simple so easy can be so cheesy but if you're a
spinach person and an artichoke person you're definitely gonna love this recipe
because you definitely get both of those but if you want to increase the amount
of spinach artichoke in it just be mindful that that will alter the recipe
cook times and if you enjoyed this video give it a thumbs up and if you're new to
the channel hit the subscribe button full recipe details can be found in the
description box below along with all my other recipes my blog post which
features my product reviews and shit was Christmas t-shirts
