Youtube daily report Jan 3 2017

Hello guys and welcome again to the channel

my name is Soraya and today i want to present you another trick to get rid off skin blackheads

We'll just need to ingredients, milk and neutral gelatine. Pay and attention and let's get started!

We need two teaspons of Gelatine and two of milk. Then it's time to mix

Mix it up as well as you can

put it in the microwave for 30 seconds

let it cool for 5 minutes

It's cool already (it smells horrible) and now it's time to apply the mixture in our face

as always forgettin the mirror (lool)

smells horribleeeee!!!

Let it dry for a few minutes

So this mask doesn't remove the blackheads as well as i have thought it would, it can be because i have the face quite clean of dirt

it can be the reason

But anyways, give it a try and let me know what you think and if works for you

And as always if you have liked the video, thumbs up, subscribe to the channel and see you very very soon!

[AWESOME CAR] 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia THE BEST REVIEW - Duration: 10:59.

there's been an alfa romeo giulia shaped

hole waiting to be filled in the

American car market for what feels like

forever

a couple years ago after rejoin the US

car party with the flawed but hugely

entertaining foresee reigniting passions

after decades long absence but meeting

too little in the way of sales volume

that single offering acted only at each

for those wanting a properly practical

five-person sports sedan after a true to

Italy leisurely way the julia has

arrived the 2017 alfa romeo giulia put

some practical meat on the bone for

American drivers board of the usual audi

a4 / mercedes c-class / BMW 3-series

suspects

even better the new Italian mates at

band comes packed with some heavy

artillery the top quadri fontanilla

model offering 505 horsepower and

returning three-dot eight seconds 0 to

60 miles per hour run as well as a

shockingly quick nürburgring

nordschleife time of 7 32 which for the

record makes it the fastest

four-passenger production car around the

12 got nine mile circuit for context

that six seconds quicker than a

lamborghini gallardo LP 570-4

Superleggera into full 20 seconds faster

than a BMW m4 our first taste of the

highly-anticipated Julia brought us to

sonoma raceway in some local roads

nearby in California's wine country as

we approach the pack of cars warming and

pit lane there is further evidence that

the Jewish quadri fog neo is serious

it's ferrari derived to dot 9 meter to

inter both v6 sound snarly and sweet and

cars passing on track report raspy

exhaust coughs between shifts

when you go to get in there is a slight

chance of bumping your head on the

low-slung roof wouldn't be an Italian

car without an ergonomic cork right

the test car appears to be equipped with

the full gamut of options leather across

the dash carbon fiber trim breaking up

the bovine bits in Alcantara and

leather-covered steering wheel and the

standard eight-speed automatic the only

transmission option for us market Uli's

this is a distinctly Italian execution

with unique details like green and white

top stitching but there are also

splashes of conventional design

throughout including the analog pack and

speedo with a multi-function screen

position between them and a steering

wheel flanked by tom aluminum shift

paddles that are attached to the

advanced efficiency and raise and a

button in its center lets you choose

suspension stiffness only a few details

disappoint like the hard plastic on the

inside of the center console plastic

this on the shifter and somewhat

loosey-goosey feel to the control wheel

press the red engine start button on the

steering wheel and the pleasing from of

the twin turbocharged mill comes without

any artificial enhancement thank you

ferrari you'll need to pull the shifter

down to choose first gear tapping the

paddles does nothing while the car is in

park but once moving the julia feels

every bit like a sports car first and

disadvantaged second with a steering

ratio or 11.8 21 which outfit says is

the quickest in the industry the julia

turns instantly the pirellis are always

digging into pavement and changing the

cars direction with slot car like

directness

the chassis is quite a bit stiffer than

those of the competition in chem three

c63 and ats-v appealing to a smaller but

more fervent cross-section of the

enthusiast population and although the

julia lacks a carbon fiber chassis life

the 4 c's but there is no shortage of

sharpness in the full-tilt quadri fog

will model the relationship between

steering and body is highly direct

responsive and intuitive and the

excellent steering feel builds a

confident dynamic between driver input

and vehicle response however the driving

conditions or less than

confidence-inspiring with stay rainfall

505 horsepower ultra-high performance

pyar list with the treadwear rating of

60 in standing water on stretches of the

track it's no wonder the Jewish tale has

a habit of stepping out on medium

throttle the low-end torque is exactly

thunderous this is after all an

aggressively to small displacement

engine that produces a staggering 174

horsepower per liter but longer

stretches of tarmac revealed the engines

true p behavior he pull strongly through

the last three thousand revolutions per

minute or so until hitting the hard rev

limiter at around 7200 revolutions per

minute the entry-level julia and julie

atty both of which use a 280 horsepower

to dot 0 leader for are available with

all-wheel-drive the quadrifoglio is

rear-drive only and uses a torque

vectoring differential that helps a

little wet traction is limited we were

strongly discouraged from engaging race

mode due to the conditions as it defeats

stability control but even in the second

most aggressive mode

hey there wasn't much opportunity to

gauge what performance would be like in

the dr based on how the rear end steps

out and is quickly almost stiflingly

recovered by traction control it's

evident that it would take a bit of

skill to coax a good lap time under dry

conditions

then again race mode might be brilliant

enough to allow suit to be going without

putting a damper on forward motion given

alphas restrictions on the track drive

will have to reserve judgment until we

score more seat time either way the car

takes skill one thing that stands out on

the track the optional carbon ceramic

brakes have tremendous fight an

excellent stopping power which enables

surprisingly late-breaking on the damn

surface if the rain-drenched rack

excursion uncovered only a fraction of

the quadra fog Leo's performance

capabilities the road drive revealed

even less as you might expect in such a

tiny wounds for sedan potholes and

surface irregularities can be drawing

even in the softer suspension settings

between exhaust note throttle response

and steering effort there's quite a bit

of variability between the three main

driving modes and we found the middle

setting with the suspension at its

softest best suited for most roads the

preternaturally quick steering demands

attention and careful Corrections but

the hyperresponsiveness can become an

acquired taste that encourages more

driver involvement and ultimately more

enjoyment from the act of carving up a

canyon

interestingly the break by wire system

is linked to the drive modes offering

stiffer pedal feeling the two most

aggressive settings so much so that you

might need to think ahead while parking

since it takes extra effort to stop from

a low-speed Greek the eight-speed

transmission shifts reasonably well in

automatic mode those ships give jerk

here when the big aluminum paddles are

tapped alpha brass says this was a

tuning choice in order to add a feeling

of responsive

shifts take around 100 milliseconds in

best case scenarios not quite

industry-leading but certainly made up

for by the quadtree fog Leo's generous

443 pound-feet of torque which peaks

between 2500 and 5000 revolutions per

minute touchier than the transmission is

an electrically actuated front lip

spoiler which extends at speeds above 75

miles per hour to deliver more than 200

pounds of extra downforce on the nose

the car feels extremely planted in the

high-speed sections so it seems to do

its job

we also took a brief street driving a

280 horsepower jewett heat with q4

all-wheel drive the car was optioned

with the lasso package giving it an

attractive if more conventionally

outfitted interior with light walnut

trim and pale beige leather the t's

18-inch wheels provide a far less

punishing ride than the quadra fog Leo's

nineteen's but the more accessible

models main distinction primarily lies

in its dramatically more usable power

band thanks to the more well-rounded

tire compound and all-wheel-drive system

traction control is almost never

triggered allowing you to drive more

aggressively and extract strong

acceleration from the four-cylinder

turbo engine out the estimates 20 to 60

miles per hour time of under 5.1 seconds

and in the real world that is with bumpy

roads that translates to progressive

acceleration under medium throttle and

satisfyingly strong full when you use it

it lacked the soul-stirring engine

sounds and ultra-high performance

feelings inspired by the top dog quadri

fog mia model

though the alfa romeo giulia has been

eagerly awaited because it is such a

dramatically different sports sedan

proposition compared to the hot rod

offerings from aldi quadra BMW m and

mercedes AMG sure it has usable rear

seats in the trunk just like its

competitors but the full-blown quadri

fog Leo version the parts from the

formula with its ultra quick steering

focus on handling and Bray engine in

yes arriving late to the party has also

enabled the feisty Italians to tune

their mill so it's the grumpiest of the

litter barely edging out the AMG c63s is

by a mere two horsepower it may not be

the most evolved refine or polished

entry in this field but the alfa romeo

giulia is perhaps the most entertaining

and Driver centric of the bunch making

it well worth the wait for those who

hope to stand apart from the ground

'Hey Bill Nye, Do You Think about Your Mortality?' #TuesdaysWithBill - Duration: 6:59.

Hey Bill.

Do you ever think about your mortality?

Does it ever bother you to think that one day you just won't exist?

I know you're not religious but do you think anything happens when we die or is it just

over, no thoughts, nothing like that?

And if given the choice to live longer in an artificial body would you take that or

not?

Thanks.

Bye.

What a question.

That was Josh?

Josh, fabulous question.

Yes I think about mortality continually man.

I won't say constantly but everyday.

So I'd like to just give you something to think about.

If you lived to be 82 and seven weeks, depends on leap years as to the exact number of weeks,

you get 30,000 days on earth, 30,000.

When you're in kindergarten 30,000 sounds like a lot, almost an unimaginably big number.

When you are my age, I'm 61, you start to see that 30,000 really isn't that many.

And to show you it's not that many I encourage you to imagine a National Football League

stadium.

They typically hold way more than 70,000 people, certainly way more than 60,000 people.

So imagine sitting in a different seat every day of your life and watching your life take

place down on the field, imagine this.

Sit in a different seat everyday.

Day-to-day it looks about the same right?

But with 30,000 you don't get halfway around, halfway around and you're dead.

It sucks man.

So it's why it's important to do your best to live your life as best as you can every

day.

This doesn't mean you become a hedonist and just have a joyride everyday, you're working

too big goals but no one appreciate that everybody is going to die.

I have never met anyone who is not going to die.

I've never met anyone who's of a certain age who is not already dead.

It sucks.

Now here's the evidence for why I don't believe in an afterlife.

It would be a fine thing if I could have the capabilities athletically that I had when

I was say 23 with the life experience and intellect that I have right now.

That would be fantastic and then live forever, I say bring it on.

But my beloved grandmother, who was brilliant, didn't have that happen.

She faded away losing her faculties as she went.

People my age have a lot of grandparents and parents who are not as sharp, certainly not

as athletically capable or physically capable as they were when they were younger.

And so watching ourselves die is to me overwhelming evidence that there is no life after death.

There doesn't seem to be any reason to think that when you die you go back to your optimum

age at your optimum athletic ability and your optimum intellectual sharpness.

And if it turns out that that's true, that you do die and have all this intellectual

sharpness and athletic ability, cool.

Bring it on.

That will be great, but what would you do differently?

What would you do differently if you knew for sure that you were going to be immortal

when you died somehow?

Would you start committing crimes?

Would you jump off a cliff so that you can hurry to your immortality optimal state?

I just don't think so.

Instead, the finite length of our life is what drives us, it's what makes us go and

it's what makes you try to accomplish things or decide to have kids or not have kids or

decided to live in another country on another continent or not or decide how to invest your

money or what you're going to do with your resources.

All this is driven by the limited length of life we have.

So furthermore, if evolution is in fact how the world works, and it absolutely sure seems

to be from my point of view, one of the fundamental things about evolution that is so troubling

is this whole idea of survival of the fittest.

That's really a 19th century usage, a British usage of that expression fit-est.

It doesn't mean that you're able to do the most weightlifting or run the fastest 1500

meters or something, it means you fit in the best.

And the troubling, troubling consequence of this is you don't have to be perfect or super

person, you just have to be good enough from an evolutionary standpoint.

You just have to be good enough to pass your genes on.

After that evolution, if it were an entity, doesn't really care about you man.

You had your kids, your genes are passed on and you expire, you lose your faculties as

you run out of steam and that's just how it is.

Evolution, certain diseases catch up with you, certain auto immune problems show up,

certain viruses and bacteria, parasites get you.

Nature doesn't care.

You were good enough.

And so I encourage you to live your life as best you can everyday.

And as far as putting my brain in an electronic receptacle for all time it sounds great, but

I will valuate it on a case-by-case basis.

Do you want to be stuck in an Apple product the rest of your life or do you want to be

stuck in a Microsoft product?

That's a tough call.

I'm sure books will be written.

We'll see.

Great question.

Carry on.

Sketchbook Drawing No. 8 | Real Time - Duration: 30:57.

Hey everyone!

I am back with a new video and this going to be a real time sketchbook drawing featuring

the goodies I received from my Secret Santa.

And so I just want to say a few things then I'll briefly talk about my process with

the watercolours.

So in this video, I want to thank Mira Byler for the awesome goodies that I received for

Christmas.

She is my Secret Santa, and if you don't know what I'm talking about, basically a

few of us at the YouTube Artists Collective decided to do a Secret Santa gift exchange,

and if you don't know how that works, it's where you pick out a random name and buy that

person a present, and someone will pick out your name and then buy you a present.

And it was actually all very digital in terms of picking out the names, so major thanks

to Amanda for organising it.

And so Mira ended up picking my name and she sent me a bunch of things.

So I just wanted to show my gratitude and that I super appreciate the goodies she sent

me.

For example, she sent me mini prints of her artworks, which are amazing by the way and

really good quality as well.

So if you don't know who Mira Byler is, definitely check out her work, I will link

her shop in the description, which at the moment is closed, but to anyone watching this

in the future, definitely check out her shop as well.

Although I'm sure you guys have already seen her art and her videos, but just in case

you haven't I'll leave a link in the description box and on screen as well.

She also sent me magnets with her artworks printed on them and oh my gosh they are literally

perfect for my workspace.

I don't think I've mentioned it yet but my family and I actually moved houses way

back in June and my workspace looks so bare.

It's already been months but it still looks like I haven't settled in.

I haven't decorated or anything, so at the moment Mira's artworks are the only decors

I have since I have this metal bar in front of my desk where I can put the magnets on

and it's perfect.

She also sent some art materials and little goodies including the watercolours I am using

in this video.

So I am using the Sakura Koi watercolours in the Pocket Field size and it's super

cute.

I've never tried the product before she sent them to me but I've seen other artists

use them and give great reviews, so it's nice to finally be able to try them.

And it's great because it comes with a water brush as well.

Another thing that got me really inspired and excited was her packaging.

Seriously, she wrapped everything in the cutest tissue paper ever.

I definitely want to use it in a future journal or sketchbook page.

So yeah!

It's always really fun to receive stuff in the mail.

And Mira if you're watching this: thank you a million times for the awesome presents.

I hope you had a great Christmas and New Years, and to anyone watching this, I also hope you

a wonderful time during the holidays if you celebrated Christmas or if you didn't, or

if you celebrated New Years with family, friends, if you stayed in or went out, I just hope

you had an amazing time.

And if you received any presents or if you got yourself something for the holidays, share

them in the comments below.

Like did you get a new art material that you're enjoying at the moment and something that's

gotten you really excited, I'd love to know.

Also I'm super curious about your New Years resolutions, which can be art related or something

personal, or something related to health, or something related to work.

I don't know; feel free to share those down below as well.

Like I have my own list of resolutions, and there's so many of them but I decided to

focus on what I feel like is on the top of my list.

I really want to improve drawing backgrounds this year.

I've kind of started doing backgrounds in 2016 especially when I joined the YouTube

Artists Collective, so I feel like that's pushed me to incorporate backgrounds in my

artworks and this year I really want to dedicate more time into it.

So I want to practice drawing landscapes and buildings, rooms, or like a setting, stuff

like that.

I mean backgrounds really help set a scene and to tell a story which I want in my artworks

as well.

Plus I've also seen other artists create those landscape studies and it's just very

inspirational.

I want to do it as well.

I've seen them do it with paint – something like gouache or acrylics, so I think I want

to use it with gouache as well or maybe watercolours, I still need to work out a plan as to how

I'm actually going to achieve this goal of improving backgrounds.

I feel like I made a video at the beginning of 2016 stating how I wanted to get into gouache

and as we can see now, that didn't really pan out well.

I still ended up using watercolours, which I'm not really complaining about since I

noticed an improvement in my watercolour skills.

So it didn't really matter.

This year I still want to use gouache hopefully a few more times than I did last year but

I'm not going to beat myself up if I don't fulfil that because it's not a main priority.

I want to focus on backgrounds whether that's using ink, watercolours, pencils, markers,

or gouache.

Yeah, I feel like if I try to achieve multiple things at a time I'll just get overwhelmed.

Another resolution that I have is to make content that I am proud of.

I haven't mentioned this yet in a video, but YouTube for me is starting to lose its

spark.

Like I remember when I was just starting, I would get super excited about uploading

a video.

And I would even go back to the video every few minutes to check if I received a comment,

how many views it had, stuff like that.

Now, whenever I upload a video, I actually don't look at the video until a day later

or maybe even a few days later just because I get really scared that what if there are

many dislikes on a video, or it doesn't have as much views or likes as the previous

video, or what if I get hate comments?

Like instead of being excited that I put up the video, I get really scared that it's

up there, that's been made public.

I start thinking that maybe I should take it down, that's it's a crappy video anyway.

Why would anyone want to watch it?

And I realised that I was feeling all those things because I myself wasn't happy with

the video I was putting up.

I mean I was glad because I ticked it off my to-do list, but I put it up there because

I felt like it had to be up there.

Honestly, it felt like I was just completing a chore every time I put up a video, and as

far as I know, it shouldn't feel like a chore.

So this year, I really want to find that spark with YouTube.

I want to enjoy the process of making videos because that's one of the reasons why I

started YouTube.

I really found it as a creative outlet.

If I had just wanted to share my art, then I could've just posted photos of my art

on my blog or something, but I didn't just want to share it, I actually had fun making

videos back then, so I want to focus on creating content that I will get excited to share.

I don't think I'll ever stop worrying about the number of views or likes or comments

on my videos though, but I feel like as long as I am enjoying doing this, I can get past

whether or not a video doesn't have as many views as my previous video or something like

that.

And I always have to remind myself that you guys are super sweet and always so supportive,

and as cheesy as it sounds, whenever I read comments about how you're proud that you

improved with your art, or that you have a personal project you're working on or that

you find my videos helpful, it really makes me realise how I'm letting insecurities

stop me from doing what I actually enjoy doing.

And I don't think I say it enough, but thank you so much for the positive feedback and

all the love.

It truly warms my heart.

And with that said, I do hope that this is a resolution I stick to because I definitely

don't want to stop making videos just yet.

So now I'll just briefly explain my process with watercolours.

I really just use two techniques.

The wet on wet technique and the wet on dry technique.

For this particular painting, I used a lot of the wet on dry because it's pretty much

my favourite technique.

I love laying down the paint and letting it dry then adding a new layer of paint over

it for shading which I am doing right now.

The reason why I do this is because when the layer of paint dries, it creates that harsh

outline and it's honestly one of the reasons why watercolours interested me in the first

place.

I love that effect if gives.

The only time I when I lay down water before adding paint is when I want to create a flat

base colour or when I want to blend colours together in a seamless way.

I also use that here when I was doing the hair and when I add the yellow highlights

to the painting.

You'll see that as I placed that new colour on the paper, the paint from the purple layer

was still wet or damp.

It was dry enough that the yellow wouldn't completely blend into the purple, but it was

wet enough that it would create a gradient between the purple transitioning into the

yellow colour.

But of course a lot of the time, I do just wing it with watercolours, especially when

it's just a sketchbook drawing.

This took around 30 minutes excluding the drying time in between layers, so not a lot

of thought was put into it.

That's another thing I like about watercolours and paint, is that it really has moments where

the paint just acts as it would and sometimes it works out to how you want it to be and

sometimes it doesn't but you just have to work with it.

Another thing that I keep in mind with watercolours is of course how much water I am using with

the paint.

In this particular case, I used a lot of water so you can see that the colours look very

soft.

That's definitely my stylistic decision; I didn't want the colours to be vibrant

so I put in a lot of water.

If I did want vibrant colours, I'd use less water and more paint or pigment.

So adding more water into the paint even as it's already on the paper also allows me

to create a blending technique.

It doesn't technically blend the wet layer with the dry layer underneath, but because

I've added more water to one side of the wet layer, it create a gradient effect where

the colour becomes lighter and more transparent therefore the dry layer underneath shows through

a lot more.

I used this around the neck where the dark shadow was.

I felt like it was too harsh so I added more water to the edge to kind of spread the colour

out.

That's basically it.

Once everything has dried, I move on to adding the final touch with my Daiso brush pen.

I swear I love this pen for my sketches.

The fibre brush nib is super flexible that it helps create intense or subtle line variations

in one stroke.

It does take some time to get the hang of, but I can definitely see why other artists

have been raving about brush pens.

I mean, I'm one of them now.

Watching their reviews and videos has convinced me to try brush pens and it's one of the

best things to happen in my art.

So yeah!

That is pretty much it.

I will simply leave you guys here with some music.

I hope you enjoy the rest of this video.

Top 5 Smallest LEGO Licensed Themes! - Duration: 5:53.

Hello,

just2good here,

and today I'm counting down the Top 5 smallest LEGO licensed themes.

By smallest, I mean licensed themes with the least number of sets.

I've set up some rules for the sets within the themes

to be able to meet the criteria of being counted.

I will not be counting sets released under LEGO Dimensions,

LEGO Ideas, or any other subthemes,

since there are a lot of one off properties found there.

Also, I will ignore keychains and magnets released.

All music tracks will be listed in the bottom right hand corner as they play,

and without further ado,

let's get into this.

[intro music]

Coming in at number five is a four way tie,

all with six sets.

There's Prince of Persia The Sands of Time from 2010,

Ben 10 from 2010, Scooby Doo from 2015, and the Angry Birds Movie from 2016.

Weird how half are based on video game movies

and the other half are based on Warner Bros. cartoons?

Well, with the video game movie themes,

I mean it's clear that these were planned to be one and done.

The model makes sense -

cash in on the property while the film is in theaters.

ONLY while it is in theaters.

I don't think we'll ever see more Prince of Persia sets

as the film did poorer than Disney had hoped.

I mean,

the same model would be used with the Lone Ranger theme three years later -

but that got two polybags,

while Prince of Persia only got one.

Maybe we'll get more Angry Birds sets

as a sequel is on the way because the film did pretty decently at the box office.

Ben 10 was just a failure of a theme -

I mean, from what I saw and have heard,

the sets were shelf warmers.

Nobody wanted them.

I'm not sure if the Scooby Doo sets sold well,

but I mean, it did technically last two years -

the final set was a polybag released this year.

Heck, we'll probably get more polybags if LEGO and Warner Bros.

release multiple animated LEGO Scooby Doo films,

which the press release strongly hinted at.

Still,

I'm not sure why they didn't release

more wide release construction sets in the theme.

Hopefully we'll get some sets

with the release of the 2018 animated Scooby Doo film.

[transition music]

Next on the list is the Mickey Mouse theme,

which only had five sets released.

Yeah, many of you may not have known it,

but LEGO released a SYSTEM based Mickey Mouse theme in the year 2000.

One was a bucket and the other four were larger playsets.

I suppose the lack of many sets was due to poor sales,

but I have no proof of such as LEGO is very tight on releasing sales figures.

These are definitely made for smaller kids,

but are not Duplo.

I need to get my hands on some as many LEGO fans call this the successor to Fabuland,

which I think is fitting -

since many use pieces from the Fabuland line,

as the minifigures are quite bigger than normal figures.

Of course,

we got LEGO Mickey and Minnie sixteen years later

in a more normal minifigure form with the Disney Minifigures Series.

Still waiting on a new Pluto, though.

[transition music]

Number three on the list is the Speed Racer line,

which lasted one year in 2008 and only had four sets.

These were based off of the film and not the popular anime.

I mean, looking at this,

I can sort of tell why there were only four sets,

and a lot of it is for the same reason as the Angry Birds line.

First off, this was the first film in a new franchise-

which is always risky

because of the lack of evidence that the film will do well in ticket sales.

You see,

if LEGO is looking into releasing sets

based on a film from an existing movie franchise,

the company can judge whether the toys will sell

based on the previous movies' box office success and toy sales.

The second reason is that there seems to be a lack of popular vehicles

to recreate in LEGO form.

This is evident in the use of the SAME exact build in two different sets -

Racer X's car.

Which, isn't LEGO being lazy,

but rather LEGO trying to package in a prominent vehicle to attract potential buyers.

Again, this is all just my own speculation,

but I think it is what makes sense the most.

[transition music]

The second smallest LEGO licensed themes ever are The Simpsons and Ghostbusters.

Both technically only have two sets released in each -

however, each have more sets for Dimensions,

and The Simpsons has two LEGO Minifigures series,

and Ghostbusters has a LEGO Ideas set.

I can speculate why each were such small themes.

I personally believe The Simpsons theme was planned to only last two years.

LEGO was testing the water

to see if a LEGO Minifigures line with licensed characters would sell,

and the Simpsons was a show

celebrating 25 years on air so Fox sought new merchandising partners to cash in.

It seems 2015 had no licensed Minifigures Series planned,

thus the Simpsons Series 2 took the spot for May 2015.

LEGO saw that the best opportunity to release sets for the show

was when the new Minifigures series released,

thus the two sets were born.

For Ghostbusters,

the LEGO Ideas set was a hit,

and in this year,

the new Ghostbusters movie came out.

Sony saw this as the perfect opportunity

to put out new Ghostbusters toys from the original films as well as the new movie,

which led to the release of a huge HQ set for collectors celebrating the first film

and an affordable new ECTO-1 promoting the new film.

[transition music]

So, the smallest LEGO licensed theme also has two sets while applying to all my rules

-

but, if you take away my rules,

there's still only two single sets,

which is something I couldn't say with The Simpsons or Ghostbusters.

The theme is Avatar the Last Airbender!

Some of you may have not even known this was a theme.

The sets were released in 2006 when the show was in its second season.

It's a darn shame the theme didn't last for more than a year

and that we didn't get any sets on the sequel series

as the show has developed a huge fanbase online since.

Now, both sets go for at least two hundred sealed each,

which is frickin' crazy

considering the smallest was originally priced at $30 and the largest was priced at $50.

Why did the theme get so few sets?

Well, from what I heard,

the Avatar theme was released along with the Spongebob theme

as a way to judge which would be more popular with kids.

I guess the Spongebob theme was just a better seller,

as it lasted for like seven years.

Plus, since Avatar had a planned ending,

it was guaranteed that the toy lines wouldn't last for more than three years

due to the lack of a show to accompany the toys.

I mean, it's all sad to hear because I love the show,

but we have to face reality.

Now that Megabloks has the Nickelodeon license,

I don't know if we'll ever get more LEGO Avatar sets…

Anyways, that is it for my list.

Let me know which themes were your favorite from this list

by posting in the comment section,

as well as any that I may have missed.

That's it for now,

I'll see you guys later.

Peace out.

Bye.

How to Apply Short Acrylic Nails on Bitten Nails Tutorial by The Meticulous Manicurist - Duration: 30:44.

hi everyone thanks for joining me today

in today's tutorial I'm going to show

you how to maintain short acrylic nails

the majority of my clients are

professionals and they like to have

beautiful nails that they cannot wear

long nails they are also tempted to

sometimes bite their nails if they don't

keep acrylic on them, i'm also going to show

you how to be systematic in shortening

and shaping the nails so they're very

symmetrical and going to touch base on

how clients hold their fingers in an odd

position that makes it hard for you to

do your work and what to do about it

stay tuned don't forget to subscribe, hit that

like button, and share my tutorials so

other people can find my channel

i'm using pure acetone and cotton to

remove her polish you're going to apply

the cotton to the nail plate and use

small circular motions until the polish

is completely removed i'm going to show

you what it looks like in real time and

then when i get to the other hand i'm

going to speed it up.

With the knife end of your metal cuticle

pusher you're going to push back the

cuticles and scrape off any adhered skin on

the nail plate, and

that's called the pterygium, we're going to

inspect the nails as you go along and

make note of where you see any lifted

acrylic that needs to be nipped off and

then we're going to use our hundred and

eighty grit nail file to go back and

blend the old acrylic into the natural

nail

when you use your nippers make sure that

you are squeezing the acrylic and not

pulling off the acrylic make sure you

get the edge of your blade under the

lifted part of the nail and squeeze

the lifted part, it should break off

now we're going to use our nail file to

blend the old acrylic into the

natural nail as well as remove any

adhered skin that is on the nail plate

and remember that nail prep is the most

important part of an acrylic nail

application make sure you're using very

light pressure when you're filing the

natural nail because you do not want to

thin the nail plate out just, you want to

remove the shine and any dead skin

that's on the nail plate

next we're going to shorten all five

nails and it takes about seven strokes

of the nail file to take off about two

weeks of growth and then we're

going to round each side to make sure

that they're symmetrical I always do

about seven strokes to shorten the nail

and then three strokes on the left three

strokes on the right to get my shape and

then we'll refine the shape at the very

end

I'm going to speed up the opposite hand

at each step as we go, and if you

guys don't like this sped up version

just comment in the video and then on my

next video I won't do it, I can't decide

if people like the fast-forward version

or not so just let me know

ok

now we're going to remove all of the

dust and debris with your nail brush and

this is very important because there

cannot be any loose dust on the nail

plate or down in the crevices before we

put on the primer time to apply the

primer to the nail plate you only put

the primer on the natural nail you do

not get primer on the acrylic because it

can cause your acrylic to yellow and the

the nail needs to still have wet primer

on it so if the nail dries before you get

the bead of acrylic you need to apply a

second coat of primer

when you apply your ball of acrylic to

the nail plate you're going to place it

where the old acrylic meets the natural

nail and then you're going to press it

up into place and make sure that it does

not touch any of the skin after it is back

far enough then you can tap it and walk

it up the nail plate and blend it in the

old acrylic I always lift the finger up

and look down the nail to make sure that

my shape is nice and symmetrical because

i want to do as little as filing as

as physically possible

by the time we get to the thumbnail the

primer has dried so i'm going to apply

another little coat and in this instance

you're going to see me struggling with

her thumb a little bit she keeps trying

to twist her hand and twist her thumb

down so you'll see me reposition my

thumb and and turn it back

sideways so i can see the top surface of

it and to her i'm saying relax your

thumb i'm going to turn it so i can see

the top of it and she's giggling of

course because she knows she's doing it

but for some reason they just can't help

it

after nipping and filing and I should

have done this before i started the

left-hand I always turn my towel up to

cover up all of that loose dust that's

inevitable that somebody tap the towel

and dust flies up and lands all over the

acrylic and it just makes it i don't

know kind of a hassle so just try to get

that debris out of the way

ok

ok

now here in a minute you're going to see

I tap her pinky with my thumb a couple

of times because she keeps making her

finger really straight and they just

don't realize that they're doing and I

think they're trying to watch and so I

just kind of tap tap tap and they're

like oh I'm sticking my finger straight

up in the air again so they like relax

their hand write her and she's like oh

sorry

now when I file people's nails I always

try to stay in a routine every time when

I'm filing so i can stay organized it

does help your speed if you try to do

the same thing on each finger then you

don't loose where you left off

I'll do sidewalls, refine the tip, go

around the cuticle then go across the

whole top of the nail

sometimes I get those last two switched

around i'll go across the top of the

nail and then go around the cuticle but

whatever routine you pick for your nails

just try to stick to the same routine on

each nail

if you haven't watched the video on how

to blend with the acrylic into the

cuticle line make sure that you watch

that video it's really important so you

can hear all about how when I look at

each nail i watch for dust buildup down

and around the cuticle and that is an indication

of where the acrylic is not blended so

make sure you go back to that video list

and watch that video

coming up here you're going to see me

correct her hand position again she

starts to twist her wrist and so I just

take her index finger and you know kind

of guide it underneath her hand so she

realizes that she's starting to twist

her hand and then she moves it back

straight for me again

now when you're trying to make a nail

symmetrical and you're staring at it and

you're thinking what in the world is

looking all wonky I don't know what's

going on

I always hold my nail file up and make

that go straight down the center of the

nail and then I measure, i look at the

left side then I look at the right side

and then i can tell where my

imperfection is and then you can

adjust it so I'm going to do it on this

finger again too and i did on the middle

finger and if you missed it then you can

just rewind and go

back and look, ok

last step before she goes and washes her

hands

we're going to use a sanitizable

buffer board to buff off all the file

lines out of the acrylic now I don't

know why or who taught nail technicians

to apply cuticle oil before the client

goes and washes their nails or before

you buff the nails but you should not be

doing that the cuticle oil is applied at

the end of the nail service if you apply

cuticle oil before they go and wash

their hands

chances are they're not going to get it

all off and when you go to polish their

nails your nail polish is going to chip

off and polish should not chip off

acrylic nails or your polish will like

shrink back like water and oil so just

always apply at the end after you polish

at the end of the service

time to polish the nails and I want you

to watch the pressure I know you can't

see pressure but watch the bristles on

the brush as they fan out

you can tell that i'm applying pressure

i'm pushing down on the brush so the

bristle span out and then I push the

brush back up to the cuticle line and

that is how you get a perfect line

around the cuticles you should never set

a brush down on the nail play and try to

get close to the cuticle the brush

should always be pushed up to the

cuticle i also want to explain what i'm

doing what it looks like I'm scrubbing

the nail with the brush the bristles

have actually come away from where i

intended them to be so i'm just scooting

them back where I want them to be so

they get as close to that nail wall as

possible

I do get too close to the cuticle here

don't worry i get that off at the end

time to apply the topcoat i use a fast

drying top coat called air shield it's

the best top coat in the whole wide

world I promise

last but not least it's time to apply

the cuticle oil the cuticle oil is

applied to end of the service so it can

stay on the hands to replenish the

moisture that we have just removed from

using polish remover and filing the

finger tips and cuticle area i hope
