Follow Me Around My London Hotel! | Kate's Adventures - Duration: 10:46.

Hi folks! As you can maybe see, this is a bit of a different scenery to usual.

I'm in London today.

Now if you're a regular to my travel videos, you may be thinking

"Wait a minute, don't you usually tell us where you're going

and show us the journey before you show us the hotel room?"

Unfortunately I had a little bit of an issue with my memory card earlier.

It wasn't working at all, I tried to fix it, it just wasn't having any of it

so I've had to buy a new memory card and I'm going to have to start the travel vlog here.

So I've just checked into my hotel and it's absolutely beautiful,

so I thought it was time to give you a room tour, so here we go.

Okay so when we first come in, this is the door. Obviously.

Hotel doors don't really tend to be that different.

This is the wardrobe.

It's very nice inside.

That's my coat, I put that there.

(Sings) Lights!

And I have a bathrobe.

When does that ever happen anywhere to me?

And I see a free pair of slippers down there too which is gorgeous.

The hotel safe which is very important, I love having one of them in my room.

There's nothing in this drawer.

I've got a hairdryer,

a shoe mitt? I'm not fancy enough to know what that is unfortunately.

And then this is a little sewing kit.

And there's a selection of different types of hangers

and some spare bedding. Anyways, that's not what we came here to see.

This is the door to the bathroom

and I was really impressed by that

and then I saw what the bathroom looked like and I was really amazed.

Okay, so in we are

that's the mirror and the sink.

Some glasses, some towels,

toilet.

This shower I'm absolutely loving.

That's the main shower at the top there,

I have no idea how to use this thing, it looks like...

I used to play this game as a kid where you couldn't touch the wire

with a sort of thing that looked like that.

If you know the game, you'll know which one I mean.

But, like, it buzzed if you touched it.

I think that's a handheld shower.

but I don't know how to use it.

I think these shower products are from the same brand

that were in the Villa Florence when I was in San Francisco.

If they're the same ones, they're very nice

and it's nice to see them here again.

Some flannels, some soap,

fancy tap!

Let's see how this works, you go like that or that

depending on which... which heat you want.

Anyways we're into the main part of the room now,

if I can just close that door.

Full length mirror here, or just about full length.

And now this is my room for the next two days.

So here's the bed, it looks bigger than a double bed but I'm not really too sure.

And there's this little...

cushiony thing at the front, I don't really know what they're called.

I know what this is, this is a chaise longue.

and it's got some wee cushions there.

This is the window with a view of the street

and over here there's a phone,

a notepad, some information

and some things to charge various things.

This is the Hotel Pullman which is at London St Pancras

and it's really really pretty.

Um yeah, I absolutely love it.

So the reason I'm in London today

is I'm coming down for a meeting that I'm going to tomorrow.

I'm not sure if I can tell you any of the details of that

so if you don't hear me mention it again,

that's because I have to be really vague.

If I am allowed to tell you stuff then you'll

hear me talk about it more as this video goes on.

The thing that I'm particularly excited for in this room

is this desk over here.

I have a video that I want to film

and I need a desk for it and that looks like it would do the job.

I actually brought my tripod down with me to London

so that I could film a particular video idea that I have

I'm very excited to try it out, hopefully it will work well

and hopefully you enjoy that video when it comes out.

Okay so you're seeing this part of the video,

that means I've been allowed to tell you

a little bit more information on what's going on and why I'm in London.

And it's basically to do with YouTube Heroes.

We're kind of having...a kind of feedback session type thing tomorrow

it's a bit like a meeting, it's a bit...

you know it's like all day sessions just to give some feedback

and hear more about the program because it's still quite a new thing.

If you've never heard of YouTube Heroes and you want to hear more,

I'll put some details in the description

if this sounds like a foreign language.

For those of you who've maybe seen my San Francisco

videos or have maybe heard things around YouTube

it's maybe not going to be so interesting to listen to

so yeah, you don't have to listen to that

you can just skip all the information in the description and keep watching.

Okay, we're out into the kind of lift area here.

So we're down in the hallway now

and this is the kind of business center they have going on here.

This is very funky!

And I see free magazines, I'll be back for this later.

I'm not sure if I actually need anything right now, but I am really loving the funkiness of this

and I'm definitely gonna go and get a magazine.

So there we are, that was a bit of a hotel tour.

Not as interesting as I hoped it would be because I got slight nervous there!

I find when I get to like places where people don't really know what I'm doing

I can get a bit self-conscious, so some of the hotel staff

were looking as if to say,

"Why are you filming our foyer?" and "Why are you filming our bar?"

So I didn't actually really go for anything because

there wasn't any food menus or anything laid out.

But as you saw, I got some magazines.

So they'll keep me going.

And I should (cough).

And I should probably wash my hair or something tonight as well.

I don't know if you heard there or if you've maybe heard during the vlog,

my voice has been awful

for the last week or so.

And what happened a week or so ago was I went to a Taylor Swift tribute concert

that we were having in Glasgow. Not Glasgow, Edinburgh, the first one was in Glasgow.

And I just sang all night at the top of my voice

and it wasn't really very good for it.

So since then I've not really been able to sing,

sometimes when I talk I go awfully croaky

and I'm just trying to keep it easy really at the moment and just let it heal as such.

So hopefully it will do that very soon

because I'm getting kind of sick of sounding like a frog.

So my plan for the rest of the evening

is to make use of that lovely bathroom.

I could really do with washing my hair and

and then I'll probably just sit in bed and read the magazines until I go to bed

because it's an early morning tomorrow and

it's a full day of sessions.

So I'm gonna be kept busy and I should really

make use of an early night I think.

Today I'm going to talk about Bounty

Bounty was introduced in the 1950s in

the UK by the Mars company possibly 1951

"The quilted quicker picker-upper Bounty"

Wait that's a paper towel slogan

in the US

that's just what popped in my head when I first heard about the

Bounty bar

the bar is chocolate coated

around coconut and there's two pieces in

the wrapper

Hang on. For you Americans does this sound kind of familiar?

the Almond Joy bar has two pieces in it

it's coconut coated with milk chocolate

the only difference is there's almonds on it

and look at the wrapper, the wrapper's been changed

for the Almond Joy, but a previous wrapper had

palm trees and coconuts on it

Peter Paul company came up with the Almond Joy in 1946

this one was 1951

someone's copying someone, I'm just saying

Before I dive into this bar

i want to give a huge shout out to my

friend Karla for introducing me to this bar

If the name sounds familiar, she also

introduced me to the Take 5 bar and to

So this is one of the pieces of the Bounty bar

it has three distinct little, like triangles

Side note, I'm not a big fan of coconut so

I'm not going to enjoy this bar that much

I almost didn't notice that the Bounty bar has it's name

and palm trees at the bottom of the bar

that's pretty cool

the coconut is slightly moist and kind

of crumbles in your mouth

the milk chocolate is really good

like, i really like the milk chocolate on this bar

despite the fact that i don't care for coconut

you'd imagine that that flavor would be taking over

most of my taste buds

but the chocolate kind of really

pushes its way through

There's a close up of the Almond Joy

and you know I have to compare

them to see if there's a

slight difference or major difference

which there probably will be a major difference

So I didn't eat the almonds so I wouldn't

taste anything different

um

the Almond Joy you don't taste as much as of

chocolate as you do the Bounty bar

and there is a difference between the coconuts

I just can't tell what the difference is

because I don't care for either of them

so I can't really tell you

which one has better flavor

DJI Phantom 4 Unboxing | My First Drone! - Duration: 6:31.

I finally got a drone I have always

dreamed about getting one of these but it was

never quite a priority

I always invested first in my

photography camera and also my video

cameras but recently I saw this drone go

on sale on amazon for only 900 bucks now

let me tell you a story initially when

this drone came out it was about fifteen

hundred dollars and that was just way

too expensive for a drone and especially for

my budget but when the phantom 4

came out which was a couple months

ago they price dropped this drone to a more

reasonable all 1,200 bucks and recently

I was on amazon and i saw i could

get this drone for only nine hundred

bucks which was an incredible value so i

had to get and in addition I got a spare

battery the spare batteries normally costs a

hundred and sixty dollars and I got it for $120

so i just got an incredible deal

and i'll leave a link to both of these

items in the description below i'm not

sure if they're still on sale the prices

may be fluctuating but you can check them

out if you like now you may be wondering

why I bought the phantom 4 and not the

dji pro well the DJI Mavic Pro is awesome

because it's really small really small

and super portable you can just throw it

in a backpack but this drone the

image quality is a little better so since

I'm probably going to be using this drone

for jobs and since I'm a stickler for

image quality i decided to get the

phantom 4 this is my first drone I

haven't flown one before I have no idea

what I'm doing good thing this drone has

some smart features like obstacle

avoidance tap to fly return to home but

eventually i want to be able to fly

this drone manually

I can't wait to take this drone out and

start flying it but unfortunately right

now it's dark outside so that will have

to wait until tomorrow but first let's

unbox this guy

so it comes in this nice gray styrofoam

case that will protect the drone from

minor drops now i remember watching

the unboxing of this drone by ijustine

and she just pull out this little lever

and tried opening the styrofoam box but

it wouldn't open

oh is this a joke

but since i saw her video, i now know you have to turn this level like this

and now the lid easily lifts off

wow this is so cool

it's so sleek and its really light too i

love it it's so smooth it's like a

brand new white Ferrari so anyways

inside we have our battery pack

pre-installed we have our four motors

on this side we have a micro SD card

already pre-installed we get a 16gb

memory card that comes with the drone

eventually i'll probably upgrade to 64

gigabyte version we have a USB port on

the front we have our i guess obstacle

avoidance sensors we have some more

sensors on the bottom we have our camera

that shoots 4k at 30 frames per second

and i also believe that shoots a 120

frames at 10 feet we have this

little protective cover that stabilizes

our gimbal so that's the drone right

there

let's see what else we get DJ I care

keep flying some information in this packet we

get some manuals i'll check this out

later normally don't read manuals but

for this guy for this one thousand

dollar investment i'm going to read the

manual in this pouch i believe our

are propellers we get two sets of four

so in case if you accidentally fly into

a tree or whatever you have a

replacement set in here it looks like we

got some USB cables i believe we attach

these to either the drone or the remote

control

I don't know how to pull this up at the

moment i'll figure that out and I'll let

you know in my next video but this is the

remote control and you can attach either

a ipad or iphone to this guy here is

another calbe i'm not sure what it is it

looks like microUSB I'll just display

what is on the screen right now

here is our power brick to charge the

battery which is inside the drone and

also our remote control and inside here

is a plug for the power brick

that's all I have inside the case under

this still piece of styrofoam you can store

two extra spare batteries so I believe

you can hold three batteries at one time

right now I just have this one and

this one and for the heck of it, let's just see

what this looks like

even though I know what it looks like

already so we get a styrofoam little box

and the battery is just resting

right inside like that

let's put on these propellers i have

seeing casey neistat put on these propellers

before so I think I know what I'm doing

too take the blades off you just twist and pull you just push and twist

and it should lock on just like that

push and twist push and twist push and

twist

so that's what it looks like and also

just to note if you're doing this for

the first time make sure you attach the

black propellers to the black side and

the silver propellers to the silver side

otherwise this is the DJI phantom 4

it looks super cool i can't wait to fly

it

I have a lot of learning to do i better

start reading this because i don't want

to crash my drone if you have any advice

for me as a first-time user on how to

fly this thing

Showing My 10 Years Old Art - Duration: 5:28.

Hi everyone!

Today I'm showing you my old art from at least 10 years ago.

These are drawings, paintings and sketches I made at school on 7th, 8th and 9th grade

and in high school. So I was 12 to 17 years old at the time.

And the reason I want to show these, besides to see my old art, is that some of these school

assignments were actually kind of interesting.

So, you even might get ideas for your own art.

In 7th grade we practiced calligraphy.

And I liked so much, I actually got my own calligraphy pens to practice at home, too.

I don't really like the classroom setting for making art.

I don't like to have someone looking over my shoulder or having to come up with an idea

on the spot.

I remember one of these assignments was to design your own Pokemon or some creature like

that and I couldn't come up with anything and this shape was actually my friend's idea.

Nowadays, I write or draw all my ideas in a sketchbook, so I never run out of ideas.

But when you're given a specific topic and you have to come up with an idea based on

that right away, it's always difficult.

We also designed ourselves an ex libris or a bookplate at school, which is basically

a sticker with your name on it that put you inside books you own.

We drew the design in A4 size and then they were copied and shrunk down to the actual

size.

We also got pictures that we had to continue by painting or drawing.

The one artwork I remember from junior high and was really proud of is this dragon.

Besides the final pencil drawing, I also made an ink version of it, probably with a dip

pen.

I don't have that one anymore, but I still remember it.

It was on the school wall at some point and I never got to take it home and I was really

annoyed about that at the time.

I felt really possessive over my drawings when I was younger.

But I got over that with age.

Now it's fine to sell my originals or give them away as presents.

Another interesting project from 8th grade that I might even like to recreate one day

is this where we went outside to draw leaves and flowers.

Then those drawings were copied and we cut them up and arranged them into a self portrait

and continued it by drawing over the collage.

And then we chose a part of the collage to make a bigger acrylic painting of.

Here are some sketches from the 9th grade.

We didn't make many portraits at school and I was never taught face proportions or anything

like that at school.

But I really loved drawing portraits on my free time and I'm actually making a separate

video of my old portrait drawings.

This portrait painting is about what's inside your head or how you feel about yourself versus

how others see you.

The point of these watercolor paintings was probably to paint the same thing three times

and adding more water and letting the colors blend together.

I think this is only some of the stuff I made in high school art classes, but it's all I

could find.

The last one is a self portrait with unusual colors.

I've also filmed other art tour videos.

it's almost like three bladed so he

could probably attack with this thing to

you put in the missile their press the

launcher and if fires so I mean it's you

know it's not too much velocity but it's

not bad

and then I just fit nicely onto his back

here in the swivels 360 degrees so that

the nice feature to ok then let's go

ahead and take a look at the final of

the Lions so just like the other ones

really nice tight ratcheting joint the

legs ratchet Destiny's the foot moves

saw up and down the same with the front

to the knee

and the fork up froth some of these the

foot does not ratchet I don't know I

guess both of these go so I mean I guess

that's normal for the rear ones but the

off front one do so maybe that's how

they're made and that I again the

spring-loaded mouth opens way off

because this is going to be another one

of the ones that will carry the sword

and then here's a look at the other side

and then I just like the other one is

ratcheting action at the weights are

care 360 degrees and it's got to back

and forward nice rubber kale there

ah and to transform this guy

I'm do is pop this off you don't have to

buy makes Todd transforming a little

easier and then it split the class right

back in to hear being a little suffering

there and these folds forward here and

then I'll just like the other one I

really like the action for the leg the

the back here and then you go ahead and

the other ones are really nicely boldly

all finished and the nice thing is you

could leave the weapon on there when he

is an arms and then with this was you

have the other half of the sword so

let's go ahead and put that together

ok then for the sword it looks like

you're just going to slide it right onto

here all the way back and then it does

have a little tab here on the front and

locks in and there you have the sword

and it just fit into the lion's mouth so

let's go ahead put it in the Lions love

and it does hold it there really nice

and securely so that is cool

that doesn't just fall right off right

out of the Lions long
