Known as the world capital of salsa
officially called Santiago de Cali is the
third most populous city in Colombia
It is located in the southern region of Valle
Cauca between the western mountains and the mountains
Central Andes.
It was founded by Sebastian de Belalcazar the July 25, 1536
making it one of the cities oldest in America.
Our visit was short but very intensive, in just a day and a half we enjoy
several of the sights of the city and know a small part of its history.
Places like River Cat which it is one of the most emblematic places
from the city, by the painter and Colombian sculptor
Hernando Tejada, whose sculpture is accompanied by brides
of the cat… which they are in different locations
tour of the city.
Cali Zoo is one of my places favorites,
which is home to over 270 species of animals and it is considered one of the best zoos
of Latinamerica
Monument to Christ the King
It is a statue of 26 meters high located to 1440 m
from here a breathtaking view seen view of the city of Cali.
Boulevard is a good place for recreation It has different food outlets and often
have art exhibitions and cultural along the boulevard,

I was never the smiling type of person.
Since I was a little kid, my parents had to literally teach me how to smile.
Or else, I'd appear with an annoyed like face on my child pics.
Even so, teaching me how to smile didn't go that well.
Firstly, my dad once told me that a true smile involves a big mouth.
So I just shouted and he took a pic of my horribly opened mouth!
After noticing widely opened mouths wouldn't be that beautiful on every single photo, my
parents told me that the secret of a true smile was actually to show my teeth.
As a really smart kid, I always showed my teeth really properly before taking a photo.
Not bad, right?
Well...
The down row teeth.
So, half of my child photos are dinosaur cosplays and the other half are French Bulldogs.
Cutest child ever!
Oh, but, actually, sometimes I would just not show any smile so they are just annoyed
kid pics.
I'm glad digital photos didn't really exist at that time and all my printed pics are lost.

How to Growing Tomatoes with perfect start - Gardening - Duration: 4:50.
Use Biodegradable Pots
Peat pots make planting extra easy: Just dig the hole, put in the plant, and fill in with soil.
There's no need to take your plants out of the pot.
Feed Them Well
Like growing kids, tomatoes are heavy feeders, so add plenty of organic matter (such as compost) to the soil.
Give them an early boost by working a little fertilizer into the soil at planting time.
Plant Deeply
Tomato plants form roots all the way along their stems, so you can give your plants an extra-strong root system (especially the tall, leggy ones) by planting them on their sides.
Do remove any leaves that would be covered under the soil, though. Buried leaves could rot and encourage disease.
Water Well
It's always a good idea to give freshly added plants a little extra water the first week or two after you plant them to help them get established.
They're most susceptible to drying out when they're young.
Stake Them
There are two basic categories of tomatoes: determinate and indeterminate.
Determinate tomatoes, sometimes called bush tomatoes, put on most of their growth before they start to bloom and produce fruit.
Indeterminate tomatoes keep growing after they start to bloom -- so the plants can become quite large (more than 6 feet tall).

We know mulch is good for the garden -- but university research suggests that red plastic mulch may make your tomato plants more productive.
(One study showed yields increased by 20 percent by using red mulch.)
Red mulch also helps the soil conserve moisture longer during hot, dry periods and inhibits weeds.
Keep Out Cutworms
Hungry cutworms attack young vegetables.
Protect your tomatoes by giving them a collar of newspaper.
Or cut the top and bottom off a tin can and sink that into the soil around your plants.
It creates a barrier that forces the cutworms to go looking for another dinner.
Protect Them from Cold
You can use a variety of devices to protect your tomatoes from the cold if you want to get a jump-start on the tomato-growing season.
One of the easiest is a simple cloche made from an old milk jug; simply cut the bottom of the jug and set it over your tomato plants.
Leave the top open so the cloche doesn't get too hot inside during sunny days.
Keep the Foliage Dry
Tomatoes are susceptible to a number of diseases.
To keep your plants healthy, water with a soaker hose.
This helps the foliage stay drier; wet foliage (especially in late afternoon, evening, and nighttime hours) can encourage common fungal diseases such as blight.

Yes, you heard that right, Hillary clinton actually LOST the popular vote.
Before we get started I'd like to let you know an interesting fact regarding hillary
clinton winning the popular vote.
We already know that it was only California that caused hillary clinton to "win" the popular
vote.
In this state full of liberal, SJW feminists we see 65% support for the corrupt candidate.
If we remove California from the equation Trump won the election by 1.4 million votes!
That is not even removing all the fake votes we are about to talk about!
This story comes from the Pew research Center, who are they?

It provides information on social issues, public opinion, and demographic trends shaping
the United States and the world.[2] It also conducts public opinion polling, demographic

Pew Charitable Trusts.[3][4]" Let's get into the details of this story.
An NPR published study shows that 25 million of Hillary Clinton's votes were completely
fraudulent.
A study by the pew center claimed that over 800,000 non citizens voted for hillary clinton,
in addition to dead and fraudulent voters for a grand total of 25 million fraudulent
registered votes.
Illegal Aliens, dead voters and multiple state voters all make up this 25 million chunk of
fake votes.
"A report by the Pew Center on the States finds that more than 1.8 million dead people
are currently registered to vote, dead people so zombies are voting. That's 2 million zombies that are determining the outcome of our elections. I wonder who is swaying those votes? Hm, maybe the government? Just a guess. and 24 million registrations are
either invalid or inaccurate," NPR reported in 2012, which is ironic given how NPR is
heavily controlled by Democrats.
Many of these dead voters are voting democrat from beyond the grave and the study also found
that 3 million people are registered to vote in more than one state.
That's because when a new resident registers to vote in a state, officials usually never
bother to tell his former state about the change in voter residency.
Under the "catch and release" immigration program by the Obama administration, illegal
aliens were routinely given bus tickets to travel to other states by immigration officials,
so it was theoretically possible for non-citizens to register to vote in a border country illegally,
then register to vote in another state after their taxpayer-funded bus dropped them off.
With 25 million fraudulent votes its clear to see that HIllary clinton lost the popular
vote by a large margin.
Many of us saw the tactics of voter suppression that were used in the election.

That said, a
popular vote victory is meaningless; if the president was elected by popular vote, then
both Trump and Clinton would have campaigned in entirely different states because only
densely populated regions of the U.S. would decide who would become president.
Without the electoral college, the United States of America would be reduced to the
United States of New York and California and Texas, with 48 other vassal states.
Yet notice how Clinton campaigned in other, less populated states.
They knew the popular vote was meaningless ahead of the election.
However, the popular vote is useful as a barometer for voter fraud since the most populous countries
are also the most susceptible to election tampering by illegal, invalid and dead voters.
Plus, it will give those doing a voter fraud analisis a better idea of what is happening.
For example, when we saw voter fraud in michigan evidenced by 95% Hillary clinton support in
a Jill Stein investigation... we start to see a pattern similar to dictatorships.
The lies become much more clear, that is what the popular vote is great for, clarity.
American politics is going to get sheisty if we don't start paying attention to these
things you guys.
I feel keeping Hillary out of office was a great thing but will Trump give our country
what it needs?
We all know this election was choosing the lesser of two evils but what do you guys think?
Is Donald Trump going to deliver on his promises that will help our nation or will he be unable
to do so?

Finding out that Cinco had cancer last April really knocked the wind out of me.
To make a long story short, I knew that because I loved him so much I couldn't just keep this
grip on his life.
I had to love him enough to let go.
And that's always a really hard thing to do.
But, um, the end of his story was really just the end of a chapter in my story and a new chapter
was about ready to begin.
Coming home with the empty carrier was probably one of the hardest things that I've had to
do in a long time.
But, I think, what was even harder yet was seeing Manna when I came home with that empty
carrier.
Manna has been with us since she was 3.5 weeks old.
She was an abandoned kitten that my dad found in a trailer park and we took her in right
away.
She's always had Cinco as a part of her life.
Always had us as a part of her life.
She's never been an only kitty.
And, it was hard to watch her realizing what was going on.
But, it was also necessary to give her an opportunity to grieve.
It was a shock to all of us and if I had had any other choice, believe me, I would have
taken it.
Um, but that was it.
And, um, I'm sorry, I'm such an emotional person.
But, um, Manna would look around and she would check all Cinco's hiding places and she'd
just be looking at them and just meowing and milling around.
I would know what she's thinking and what she's going through just wondering where he
went and why he isn't coming back. And it's hard because you can't explain it to a cat.
You can't, you can't just say "well this is what happened, he passed away, it was the
best thing to do and it was merciful.
And, um, we're all going to be okay.
Everything is alright."
Um, cats don't understand that.
You just kind of have to watch them go through it.
And that's hard.
Um, I didn't want to rush things because, like I said, I wanted her to have an opportunity
to grieve.
That's only fair.
And I needed an opportunity to grieve too.
I decided I was just going to try and play with her more.
I was going to give her more attention.
I was going to spend more time intently upon her.
You can see the pictures that we took for Niptoons and some other funny cat pictures
that were a part of that time between May and June on PlayfulKitty.net, our blog.
I realized, as time went, that what she really needed, what she really wanted was another
cat.
That me playing with her was only so good.
I knew she needed another cat.
And so, I started searching for one right away.
I was really really hoping that I would find a good match that would be a good playmate for Manna
and I wouldn't have to watch her go through this loneliness anymore.
I had a friend who had a cat that had kittens and he was quite desperate to have those kittens
adopted out because he was very very ill.
I went over there with my carrier and I started playing with the kittens.
And Dexter crawled into the carrier and he wouldn't get out of the carrier again.
And so we decided, well, this cat has chosen us.
And indeed he did.
We brought him home and we introduced him to Manna pretty much right away just to see
how she would respond.
Um, and she didn't really respond at all.
She didn't know what to think.
It was a little intense at first, but it always is with cats.
They have to choose each other.
This story ends with love.
One day, I was sitting on the computer and I turned and I looked and behind me on my
recliner, Manna was there all curled up and Dexter jumped up and curled up next to her.
And she turned around and she started grooming him.
I know that not everyone would have jumped for joy at this point, but I did.
It was awesome!
And, um, I knew that at that point Manna had decided that Dexter was her kitten.
And she was falling in love.
And I have to say that they've been in love with each other ever since.

The health benefits of cucumber and lemon water, and how to make this at home.

Kepler asked the following question,
and nobody had ever asked that question, something incredible.
At the time there were only six planets. Only from Mercury, Venus, to Saturn.
Uranus and Neptune were not known, because they are invisible to the unaided eye.
So, he asked the following: "Why are there only six planets?
Why not 3, 20 or 50?
There has to be a fundamental explanation that determinates the number of planets".
Then he racked his brains trying to understand that.
And for him, since God was the great cosmic architect,
the explanation was a way of understanding God's plans for the Universe.
That was understanding God.
So, he racked his brains, and eventually he discovered an answer
that is based on the platonic solids.
Essentially there are only five perfect three-dimension geometric figurses.
We know two of them well: the pyramid, which is made by triangles,
and the cube, which is made of four squares.
There are three other: icosahedron, decahedron, etc.
So these five platonic solids are the only perfect figures.
What Kepler said:
"if God is a geometer, he certainly used the most perfect figures to create the world".
Then he invented a model solar-system in which the Sun was the center
(being an unbending Copernican),
then you had Mercury, a sphere circulating the Sun,
then you had the first platonic solid
and around this platonic solid you had another sphere and another platonic solid.
Each of these spheres had a planet, so Mercury, Venus, the Earth,
Mars, Jupiter, Saturn,
you had six planets. You can have five platonic solids among them
and, with that, he built the geometric model of the cosmos.
And what is amazing is that geometry determined the distance
between these planets and, when he compared this distance
with the known distances, the astronomers had already measured the distances of the planets to the sun,
and the precision was of 10%. Around 5% or 10%.
Kepler went mad, he said: "I discovered the mystery of creation.
God invented the world using these geometric forms."
For him, this was a huge success.
And in the meantime he also discovered that the orbits are not perfectly circular,
they are elliptical. That is what we mostly know of Kepler from school.
But what interests us here is that Kepler was a Pythagorean, a Platonic in Renaissance
who tried to unveil the mysteries of the world using geometry.
This transposition of the myth to Math, to knowledge
is something that goes on to the Modern Age.
When we get to the 20th Century we find another disguised Pythagorean,
who everybody knows, called Einsten.
Einstein said the same thing, that the essence of nature is geometric.
But he didn't say that god was a Judeo-Christian God, no way.
For him, god was essentially a metaphor for nature.
So, Einstein believed there was a god, who was a kind of architect,
but he believed in the human capability
to unveil the mysteries of nature using geometry, math.

Our visit was short but very intensive, in just a day and a half we enjoy
several of the sights of the city and know a small part of its history.

Hernando Tejada, whose sculpture is accompanied by brides
of the cat… which they are in different locations

Cali Zoo is one of my places favorites,
