The process of mental preparation, and gear preparation is an essential part of every tournament.

We asked each player to describe in detail their last 15-20 minutes before the game.

Some tournaments have internet and I can play CS DM, some tournaments don't and I have to play aim map against bots.

So usually I warm-up until I feel I'm ready, if I have enough time.

When I'm ready, I go to the maps, which we are going to play, throw grenades to practice,

and if I have enough time I just sit and listen to some music.

Before the game I play DM, I try pistols, AWP, AK, if I don't hit the shots, I play AWP maps for 10-15 minutes.

During the tournament warm-up we have 10-15 minutes on the scene,

firstly to feel the mouse sensitivity I play on any map, I don't shoot, but I just move my aim around, to see how I feel it.

After that I usually I play either DM, but we don't usually have internet.

So I start the map with bots to warm up my aim for 5-10 minutes,

no matter with what gun, M4 or Ak, that's basically it.

Then we join the server and warm up against the opponents for 3-5 minutes,

giving information on the enemy, warming up aim, I drag my mouse across trying to feel the sensitivity.

Depending on whether ther's Internet or not,

I can play against bots on an empty map to get used to the game, react faster,

feel the mouse and synchronize myself with the computer.

If there's Internter I do it on DM or aim maps against people, if no, I warm up against bots.

Then I'm configuring Teamspeak,

adjusting the balance between in game sounds and how loud I can hear my teammates in Teamspeak,

making sure everything's working and everything is connected.

I have a config file with bots, and to run them I need to write 4 commands.

First bot kick, then accept bot, then bot kick and then bot quota 10.

You have 10 bots running towards you with knives to practice your aim,

or I go to DM to practice AWP and other devices there.

That's it, then we join lobby, start getting ready for the game,

listen to the coach and manager's instructions, get a massage and then start the game.

Hi everyone! You didn't expect to see a Peugeot in an E-Klasse review, did you?

The reason we put this here was that you would remember what the very first E-class cars looked like,

the legendary W124 two of which chased a car exactly like this one here.

This car, btw, is coming up in one of our next reviews, too. And this is not just some random replica of /the/ car

Luc Besson himself saw this car, liked it and commented on it.

So let's remember what the first E-class ever looked like.

We thought in order to show you how the original E-class looked like, we could just find one and sow it to you.

Fun fact: E-class is the best sold class. By now, about 12 or even 13 million cars of the class have been sold.

Out of those, about 2.5 million of sales were the share of this 124 model. It was a very successful one.

In 1993, it was finally restyled. Later, BMW realized that carburettor car were no longer trending. The E used to be for eject back in the day.

And since then, the E stands for E-class. It has also received several awards for owner loyalty.

For some reason, people resist to switch to something else. There is something in that car that attracts them.

And before I show you the new E, let's see what the very first one looked like.

We were alowed to take advantage of this quite nicely taken care of E124 with a 4.2 L engine.

With a blue interior covered in - what's this? Velour? Yeah, it's blue velour interiors.

It's all blue, the seats, even the floor. Very blue.

What's noteworthy is that it has electric glass controllers.

It's 1993. In Russia, we didn't even have injector engines.

So what, Arty? Any sharp comments on the new E? It's just he's already been in one. We shot it yesterday, and today we came for this one.

[A]: The back bent is a lot more comfortable, the armrests, too. I dot's get stuck with my legs leaning against the driver's seat,

[A]: getting in is a lot more comfortable, I don't bump my foot against the step there. And it's cosier in general.

For some reason, the first E-class was bigger in the back but smaller in the cabin here

Maybe that's why these were considered passenger-oriented cars. For sure, there's more space int he back.

Let's take a look at how the design of Mercedes Benz has evolved. The 124 had two rectangular deflectors,

The lining was shapr and even, the board here, too, slightly sizing down in width top to bottom.

A very even sharply shaped central tunnel over here.

That bump over here was not present even though that was the thing making it up for comfort.

The next body type was 210 where we had almost the same rectangular deflectors, this decorative line went up and vecame more of a decoration.

And then we have the same even board coming sharp down, and the same lines.

In 211, this decorative plank moved a tad lower and got itself some volume.

The same rectangular deflectors, and the same even board falling down vertically.

The 212 got a bit more interesting. The deflectors became kind of spaely, but we still have lots of straight lines.

And the board falls vertically, too, which I dislike a lot, and sharply breaks over to become the central tunnel.

In 213, however, everything was changed. Nary straight lines remained, right angles have all been rounded.

For the first time in the E-class history, the heater deflectors turned from rectangular to round.

And finally, Mercedes raised the central tunnel and rounded up the transition from the central console to the tunnel.

And so they gave it a touch of comfort.

To my mind, /the/ biggest interior change occurred between 212 and 213. It's a huge yes to the Mercedes designers.

I don't know if they switched designer teams or maybe gave 'em a raise.

We are now going back to Rostov from Salsk, and you are going back to the 2017 from 1993.

But before you see the new E, I'd like you to imagine something.

What would the movie 'Taxi' (the French one) look like if filmed nowadays?

The cars would have looked somewhat like this.

Nice music, frame changes, lamps, lights and stuff.

But that is not the reason you are watching this channel. Today, as usual, we have an unusual review.

I am not supposed to film a Mercedes review in the first place. I smoke, I swear and I drive a BMW.

However, you might wonder what's this E-class review for, after all.

I posted a pic of its dash panel on Instagram, and people started going really crazy with their suggestions.

One of the coolest suggestions was the one saying that it was the new dash board for the Lada 2107 we had bought for our new project.

The story is as follows. I'm currently thinking of purchasing my next car,

I've been tchoosing between E-class cars, so my options are Audi A6, BMW 5 and E-class Mercedes.

And so I came to check out the E. And it turns out, a good acquaintance of mine, Stas, is a manager with Klyuch-Avto

And he's not apparently just a worker but a very good one because the Sales Manager I'd talked to recommended this guy.

Let us let Dima go, and then we'll get inside to warm up a little. And I'll tell why we're so lucky to have Stas with us.

It's cold, so Dima, please, go so we can film the Mercedes.

In fact, the Sales Manager lied to us. I had posted a Mercedes pic a long time ago saying we were having a review,

And that was a white Mercedes E200. Turns out, the Sales Manager lied to us fot good, and I cracked his witty plan.

Instead of a white E200 we got a black E400 here.

333 HP, 480 N·m of torque and a 4-wheel drive.

We'll probably be very brief about the exterior because it's the obvious part, I think.

Unlike the previous E-class cars, esecially the last 212s, this one has rather a solid design, Looks really amazing and it's no doubt.

While the previous ones have been accused of being boring and excess conservativeness, now the car os a bombshell

Yet there still is one flaw. Let me remind you that I'm no professional review-maker. I view these cars as a potential user,

but today we lucked out big time because Stas is not just a manager but he loves these cars, knows all about them, the history behind them.

So you can just look at the car and ask him questions.

[S]: You mentioned a flaw in the design. Let's start with it.

Yeah. The flaw. It has become a meme trending all over the Internet.

Look at this car and somebody, 'cept for Stas here' tell me what's the difference between ths E and a C.

Btw, you have a unique opportunity to troll me on my hat with this baby mammoth.

Stas has no hat at all. Are you okay?

[S]: Yeah, it's fine.

[S]: Let's start with the front part of the car.

[S]: The first thing that makes this car differentiable by eye both when still and on the move is the lighting.

[S]: The E has two LED strips in each lighting block.

[S]: The main reason for doing it that way was probably a reference to previous E-class designs when there were two separate blocks of lighting on each side.

[S]: The C-class has only one LED strip.

[S]: Let's move to the side. Here, near the front light, begins a body curve which goes thru door handles,

[S]: both the front and the rear one which is important. And the curve leads up to the rear lighting.

[S]: This allows to make the car visually longer than it is.

[S]: As for the C-class, this line would go thru the front door handle and then gradually slope down towards under the rear door handle.

[S]: That helps to highlight the car's dynamic properties. Se we get a heavily charged front, and it gradually goes down to under the handle.

What about the rear?

[S]: In the rear things are a bit more obvious than you could think.

[S]: With this E a new lighting technology has been adopted, the so-called Stardust. You don't see the direct LED's direct light

[S]: You can only see the reflexion of it on a special lpatform covered in non-homogenic crumbles.

[S]: That is the E's hallmark. With a C-class, you're gonna see a LED contour laid in the same pattern on the top and the bottom.

I suggest we take a look under the hood and move to the inside 'cuz thay's where the interesting stuff is.

[S]: In fron of you is a V-6 with two turbines. The cylinder blocks are placed at 60 degree angle

[S]: This engineering solution allowed to get rid of the balancing shaft and make the whole thing lighter. In fact, it's all aluminum.

[S]: The car is equipped with a 9-step gear box. Yes, it is a 9-step, a unique offer for a big city.

[S]: As compared to the previous 7-step gearbox, this one is more efficient. Extra 2 gears allow to reduce crankshaft rotation count.

[S]: As a result, you get less noise on higher speed, less wearout and less fuel consumption.

The most interesting part and, tbh, the most important part for me is the one you see when sitting here.

[S]: Note the km count on the dashboard. Very symbolic. 333.3 km.

OMG. I think, you did something to it.

Let me just remind you, this Mercedes has 333 HP.

Proofing. The first thing you hear is this... proofing. We joked yesterday that it closes like a Mercedes door.

[S]: Yes, like a Mercedes.

The first impression I have is, it's very very very pleasant for the eye. Totally opposite of what the previous E was like.

When sitting in the previous one, I tried comforting myself saying it's a Mercedes, it should be ice and good.

Excuse me, 212 owners. I understand that when using a car over a period of time, you start to see some stuff to be nice.

but my first impression from that one was, I didn't like it much. The design was pretty boring and dull.

There we had rough straight lines, an even central console. And what I disliked most of all, the tunnel wasn't protruded up at all.

What happens here? It's almost like Mercedes heard me say it, and made it all happen,

And the new BMWs are the opposite. It all sticks out on the top here, and then it goes down and inwards creating some free space. And then comes the tunnel.

[S]: Note also that extra cosiness is achieved thru the console gradually moving to the door.

[S]: It's not shapr and edgy, it's vert soft and curvy. Note that there are barely any right angles. Feels like it wraps you.

[S]: The design originated in the body type 222.The interior got as close to each other as possible.

[S]: Plus, regarding the equipment, it's safe to say that this E is the most hi-tech Mercedes on the market today.

As a BMW owner, I have no choice but to troll this design a little bit.

Why is there four of these airducts? That's my burning question. What for four?

[S]: It's a designer solution. Again, it visually widens the central console thus making for more space.

Arty, say honestly, are you thinking now if you can cut these two out and fit a 1-DIN HU in there?

I can't stop thinking about that, really.

The first thought I had was if you can give this up for tuning. I mean, many people lose deflectors in order to install monitors.

But, there is no need to install a monitor in here. In fact, I can say I have never seen a monitor this wide in stock.

Moreover, they placed the monitor and the dash panel under the same glass which looks awesome.

But this is available in certain complectations.

[S]: The multimedia system is NTG 5.5. It's the newest multimedia system Mercedes Benz has at the moment.

[S]: As for the monitor, the thing you liked - that effect is reached by placing it under the same glass - it's mineral glass.

[S]: The monitors themselves are high definition which prevents you from seeing pixels.

[S]: A more modern multimedia makes the design of the interface look softer and necer for the eye.

[S]: And color rendition is amazing, isn't it?

The graphics is amazing, the definition is amazing. As for the delays, gotta say I'm very demanding,

and if I were them, I'd make it a little faster. But still, this is the fastest I've seen so far

That regards both stock HUs, custom ones are no better in that respect, too. This one is great in that respect.

[S]: I haven't told you that yet but you intuitively started using Mercedes Benz's new technology for controlling the HU.

[S]: There are two touch pads on both sides of the steering wheel, one on the right and one on the left.

[S]: The right touchpad is responsible for the central monitor, the left one is for the dash panel meters.

The car's approved, guys. No power loss. 14.5 V. We have some absolutely useless meters here.

They show us the torque and the power.

Let's get back to the buttons here. I'm kinda intrigued. So these are touch. I scroll the right one, and I control the display to the right, the central one?

[S]: That is correct.

And the left one heps control whatever is happening ont he dash panel here. The graphics are amazing as I said.

These thingies work really well. To be fair, when I first realized they were touch, felt really sceptical 'bout them.

I thought they wouldn't do well and would fall back on the reaction. But they follow finger movement exactly. Really great.

And looks like I can make a choice right here, too.

[S]: Choise confirmation is performed via a mechanical button int he middle.

So I can do it from here and on the stick, right?

[S]: Mercedes Benz proveides the owner with three means of control. One, there's this controller which was present in previous models, too.

[S]: It is also intuitively understandable. The next step was - making this touchpad in the central part here.

[S]: Here, you can act on pretty much the same functions you've acted on from the steering wheel touchpad.

So I can navigate here, and I can do it over here, right?

[S]: Absolutely correct. They cover each other.

And the stock does the same. So they solved the problem of personal convenience very simply.

There are three options here. Pick any.

And gotta admit, I don't know how to use this system but I just scrolled around, and I understood it all. How crazy is that?

Intuitive understandability is just top notch.

As much as I hated the previous E-class, just as much I love the new one. Really cool.

As for the multimedia, we can hook it up to Apple Carplay or to Android Auto. Both work.

I think we'll make a special video on how the two devices work in this car 'cuz I think if we start playing around, it will take a reeeally long time.

We can arrange for an Apple vs Android battle. It's just Stas here has an Android powered phone and he says it works better.

Personally I don't really like Apple Carplay. Bu I still think it would be faster and nicer when connected with this HU

I guess we could check what goea better. Which one navigates faster, how're the things with maps etc.

[S]: The driving modes can be switched via 'Dynamic select' controller right here at hand for the driver.

[S]: When you switch it, here, on the monitor, the current mode is shown, and the options are visualized.

[S]: For example, for the 'Sport' mode, a G-Force indicator pops up meaning it shows the directions of overload distribution.

And individual..?

[S]: It's a mode for you to customize it all you want by picking --

Right here? And I don't need to connect some server or something?

[S]: Yes. It's all here. You pick settings, and you enjoy the results.

So here are the modes: Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport + and Individual.

[S]: Apart from it all, right now, the central panel, the driver's panel is rather classic in terms of design.

[S]: Mercedes Benz thought about the drivers and left a dor open for customizing that, too.

[S]: So you can change the way your dash panel looks by your mood, maybe.

Let me try it myself. Okay, so I'm pushing, say. Home to go back to Main Menu.

Oh, wait. This was the left one.

[S]: You need this one. Here's that hime, too.

Btw, look. I can move like this, from here, and I can move with the touchpad. Very convenient.

[S]: Oh, one more thing I wanted to mention. This touchpad is capable of recognizing handwriting. So you can text from here.

You know, taht is not something you can surprise people with. I trolled Opel's a lot. Let's see what this one's like.

[S]: Let's see.

Let's try. Car, connect, system, style image. And here I see the dash right away.

I opened the menu and went 'Ok', 'Ok', 'Ok'.

[S]: Yes.

Progressive. We have the speedometer and the tachoemeter on the same scale here.

'Classic' was the one set before.

It's loading. I'm guessing it's renewing it's theme, too.

[S]: Correct. It is not only changing the dash's theme but the theme of the whole control system so it's loading.

Sport. Okay, we'll check it during the Android vs. iPhone battle.

[S]: Press Connect here.

[S]: Here are menu issues that allow us to wire up various devices.

Okay, we're seated here. We're ready to go. Finally finished with the red tape business. I signed the papers.

This is going to be a regular test-drive. I signed for not driving at an over 90 degree angle side to the front.

And I also shousldn't go over 260 km/h.

The first thing I want to acknowledge is the key. It is a piece of art, actually.

It's really good looking and it's nice to touch but I have something to mock, too.

Just like iPhones in this Black Onyx - I think that's the color- this film is gonna scratch and stain really fast.

I don't know for sure. I'm only making suggestions. The device is really amazing.

Another thing to notice is this awesome black glass. As cool as these looked when on, just as cool they are when off.

They are barely separated. If you look closer, you can sure see the separation line. And it just looks like a really wide iPad.

Looks really great. And I really liked those iPads the previous Mercedes cars used to have here on the top.

They decided not to get rid of it. tHey just moved the screen deeper, and they made ths - dunno what to call it, maybe - framing thinner. Looks really nice.

Okay, let's get it started.

Mercedes Benz. In case you forgot.

Okay, so the odometer reads 333 km.

Guys, we're in a brand new E worth ₽4.3 million with barely any mileage. It's very new!

Now we'll try to take a ride. And I'm trying to find the stick automatically.

I have a confession to make. This is the first time I ever drive an E-class car.

The proofing is really nice. We'll see what it's like on the road. Right now, it is quite close to custom proofing.

Stock proofing is very rarely good, even in courtesy and enterprise cars.

We are now driving to a very busy street, Malinovskogo avenue. Here goes a truck. And we barely hear it pass.

Flipping a sofa to a sofa, it would be hard to surprise me. But gotta notice the drive here is very soft.

I don't know. Maybe my car's getting old. I recently drove a new 5-er BMW and didn't feel much difference.

This one, however, gobbles up bumps on the road -- well, somehow different

[S]: In this complectation, we have so-called 'selective' shock absorbers.

[S]: Meaning they have different working modes for different pavement types.

[S]: E.g. if there are some minor bumps, the shock absorbers don't work in full capacity but only partially in order to even up that small stuff.

Gotta say that we're driving a 4-wheel drive car. Not only it has crazy torque and 333 HP but also a 4-wheel drive

I know you all are waiting for me to speed up. We'll get to the highway and hopefully, we'll be able to go fster there.

We do, however, have an obligation not to drive above 60 km/h in the city, and over 90 km/h on the highway.

We'll exceed that limt just a teeny bit, though. Not too much but just a little.

[S]: Speeding up to 110 km/h wouldn't hurt anyone. It's under speed limitation policy.

The bums are soft. I guess a new car makes for it. And whatever it is you say, it's working.

[S]: The new shock absorbing system does work, yes.

See? Who else would've told you that? That is why I said we were lucky Stas was with us today.

I mean, never would I ever drive an E-class and say 'selective...' whatever the hell you said after that.

It also has a cam, right? I have the sign 40 pop up here. Did it see the sign somewhere?

[S]: Yes, indeed. The rearview mirror has a cam in its base. The cam reads road signs and shows you limits.

[S]: Moreover, you can set a sound reminder via the interface. E.g. your limit is 40 now. You can set the system

[S]: to play a sound reminder when you exceed this limit for, say, 25-30 km/h. Then it will tell you that you're running over the limit.

It's slowly getting darker outside. We chose the time on purpose. Usually, I start with a set to finish early, before the dusk,

otherwise, the picture looks bad I will look bad outside today but I want to show you this illumination so bad.

It looks breathtaking, especially in the night.

[S]: It is called ambiant internal lightig. E-class Mercedes Benz has it in 64 colors.

[S]: Yet again, you can customize it all you want via the interface.

Gotta admit the combined the incombinable. I mean, in early 2000s or even 1990s, if you said a Mercedes would be lit up like a Christmas Tree,

I mean, this is a very brave move, especially for Mercedes considering their conservativism.

[S]: Like a Xmas tree, right. The lighting is called ambiant because it fits perfectly the new interior design.

[S]: There is lighting in this central part you liked so much. There's lighting all over the interior including the rear doors.

[S]: And it goes around the screens to create a floating effect. As if they were detached from the central console and floating in the air.

[S]: Look! The system is showing --

Yes, there was limit 50 sign, and hre it shows me the sign on the dash. It also assists the braking, right?

[S]: As for the safety issues, there is a system controlling the distance until the car in front of you.

[S]: If the system sees the distance is reducing too rapidly and realizes the car in front of you is braking, and you are still going fast,

[S]: the system will alert you. It can alert you several ways. For one, it can show a triangle on the dash. It means the distance is reducing.

Yes, I can see it, here it is.

[S]: If this progression is maintained or the distance reduction goes even faster, you'll receive a sound alert.

[S]: In case you don't react after that, either, the system starts braking on its own.

Okay.

It wasn't just fast or comfortable. It was grans. And the sound was amazing.

I've driven a GTR, I've sdriven an Evolution. Those cars are times faster.

But here, it's not only about the velocity but also about what you feel when speeding up.

It goes fast, sounds great, and there's nothing close to fear.

How did I move here?

[S]: The system has a so-called 'Favorites' menu. It's located under the main menu.

Oh, so I pushed 'down'?

[S]: Yes, you intuitively opened it.

So I can pick the menus I want to be shown here, right?

[S]: Yes, you can pic whichever you need at hand.

Awesome.

Just up and down, right? Or I can use the scroller. I think the scroller could be better in case you need it fast.

[S]: You set the lighting pink now.

No, we'er not driving rink. I ike the blue one the best.

This really is the future. It's not just some trivial design change.

Okay, this is Comfort. If we switch to Sport, the sys kicks up the rpm.

When we switch to Sport, I understand it that --

[S]: The engine takes over the gear control.

So the steering wheel gets sharper, right?

Okay, now. What happens when we switch to Sport +?

The gear went down again. So now it's gonna be working almost on the verge of the kickback?

[S]: The system automatically turned on the Eco on/off mode.

A good one, btw.

Now it's realy tempting to kick it down.

[S]: Once you switch to Sport or Sport +, it turns to a completely different car and really starts teasing you.

Let's try and kick it up zero to 100.

Niiice!

Uphill--

We're going uphill, three men in the car.

[S]: That's it.

No more speeding?

[S]: No more speeding.

I see the G-force here, right?

[S]: Yes, it shows the overload.

Here. And on braking, it does the same.

Gotta say it really is very quiet. The previous 5er were noisy. Even the 7ers were noisy.

They all have terrible noise proofing. I have always wondered why. We crack the door open,

and there's a small piece of proofing yay by yay, stuck to the inner side of the door.

[S]: You have galvanized controllers on your steering wheel, ont he right and on the left. You hand is supposed to lay there by default. Once you push the right one --

Man, from now on, you're coming to every Mercedes review with us. Can you imagine me say 'galvanized'?

[S]: Press the right side selector.

Done.

[S]: And here you have an M5.

From your lips to God's ears! Maybe I will get an M5 one day.

I don't know if the mic's sensitive enough, I mean if you can hear it, but the engine's humming is really nice and good.

It's really nice and yet it is very quiet. Doesn't bother at all.

Let's listen.

I think it should be louder. Here's their conservativism. If you want it louder, get an AMG.

I really loved the car. Mercedes passed the message on to me but I'm struggling putting it to words.

[S]: Mercedes Benz E-class in the 213 body can be described in two words: modern luxury.

[S]: It has all you'd expect it to have. It has a lot of new to it, too. And the good part that it had before, is being improved.

[S]: 9-step automatic transmission, engine, 4-wheel drive, interiors - everything's being improved.

[S]: Exterior design, too. It has reached a completely new level.

[S]: Please, visit our dealerships for test-drives. We currently have two centers in Rostov-on-Don. One of them just opened.

Here comes the free commercial time, huh?

In fact, it all started as a dialog. I exressed my wish to try out a new E-class, and turns out, thee is some info I could pass on to my subscribers.

So I was given the car under special conditions. We didn't just take a quick ride around the city,

but I was allowed to take it our for two days. In fac, we've been shooting this for two days.

We even overspeeded. I think there was a moment we drove 111 km/h, 1 km'h over the limit. I hope Klyuch-Avto don't blame Stas for that.

Go and sign up for test-drives. I personally loved not only the car but also the treatment I got from th eSales Manager.

I asked him if any info was banned from sharing, or I was not allowed to compare it to certain makes. I was told, say what's on your mind.

And I loved Stas's passion. It's great when company employees work not only for the commission.

[S]: Note how clean the cam is. Now it hides unless you turn on the reverse gear or wish to open it on purpose.

Now let' try the automatic parking. I really want to see it.
