[BEST REVIEW] 2015 Hyundai Genesis Sedan V-6 RWD by Andrew Wendler - Duration: 3:43.In the early 1980s, the band Genesis pulled off one of the most difficult feats in show
business: turning a critically revered nerd-rock outfit with lukewarm U.S. sales into a multi-platinum-selling
household name.
By the end of the decade, the band's place in pop culture was secured.
In the automotive realm, Hyundai built its domestic following on the back of economical
transportation devices—minus the critical acclaim—and is now hoping its excellent
new Genesis sedan will find a ubiquitous place in the consciousness of luxury-sedan buyers.
Calibration Is Key
Introduced for the 2009 model year, the first-gen Genesis earned its share of fans, but its
chassis lacked the chops to play with the best in the segment.
And so, for the Genesis's 2015 redesign, Hyundai brought in Lotus to put an invisible
touch on a laundry list of bits that includes the anti-roll bars, dampers, springs, engine
mounts, subframe bushings, and even the calibration of the electric power steering, which now
utilizes a rack-mounted motor.
The results are tangible: Broken and pitted pavement that caused the previous car to go
weak in the knees is handled adroitly, the independent front and rear suspension soaking
up bumps and keeping even harsh impacts well isolated.
The steering is nicely matched to this sedan's luxury mission.
Weighty, direct at 2.5 turns lock-to-lock, and devoid of twitchiness, it offers linear
response and decent on-center feel.
It does, however, lack the feedback we'd prefer in spirited maneuvering.
Fitted with 18-inch Hankook Ventus S1 Noble2 245/45 all-season tires, our rear-wheel-drive
test vehicle managed to pull 0.87 g on the skidpad, the same number achieved by the 2012
Genesis sedan R-Spec.
Perhaps more telling are the comments of the test driver, who described the car's behavior
as "surprisingly neutral and composed."
A large portion of Hyundai's U.S.-market aspirations for the Genesis rest on the shoulders
of the V-6 model.
You can of course order the V-6 Genesis with all-wheel drive—and that's what many Snow
Belters will do—but the rear-drive car tested here is expected to deliver 55 to 60 percent
of six-cylinder sales.
Carried over from the 2014 Genesis, the V-6 loses 22 horsepower (now 311) and gains 2
lb-ft of torque (now 293 lb-ft) from last year, with Hyundai citing a greater focus
on flat torque curves, improved low-end response, and overall drivability rather than spec-sheet
racing.
The company also is quick to point out that the car delivers its output with regular 87-octane
fuel and that premium is not required.
We love the smooth, solid feel of the bottom-hinged accelerator; it's hefty enough that you
can tap out a tune on it while cruising without affecting vehicle speed, but the pedal is
completely linear in operation when you apply real pressure.
Speaking of matting it, our Genesis sprinted from 0 to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds and covered
the quarter-mile in 14.4 at 100 mph—not too shabby for a 4230-pound sedan.
(Those who need even more urgency can check out the rear-drive-only, 420-hp Genesis V-8.)

Playing God(dess) - The Six Forces of Nature - Psionics - Duration: 11:36.Hey again! Today we'll be wrapping up our six elemental
forces of fiction, and you know what that means! That's right, Solaris fans, it's psionics time!
..Sorry. Duncan Fisher I am not. Anyway, what makes psionics fundamentally
different from magic? Can't they do pretty similar stuff? Well... yes and no. That's
like saying that gravity and electromagnetics are the same thing since they can both pull
things together. Well, yeah, they kinda do, but on totally different scales of operation
and in completely different methods. Since we covered magic last time though, let's
do a quick recap to define what it is so we can see what makes psionics different in contrast.
First off, magic uses an external energy source from outside of the caster. Second, that energy
source tends to be pretty potent, typically with a lot of power to throw around just
in general. Third, magic's not particularly great at fine-tuned, finesse effects
- it has a habit of brute forcing nearly everything it does. While there are some exceptions,
generally speaking, when magic tries to do something with precision it takes a lot of
effort to manage it. In addition to such, magic often has the capacity to completely
alter the other natural forces, and indeed physics itself can be altered practically
at will, though typically only in rather specific ways.
So with that out of the way, what makes psionics different from magic, other than that magic
tends to exist in fantasy settings and psionics in science-fiction settings more often?
Well, to start off with, the energy source of psionics is internal in nature, as in it's
utilizing the psionicist's own metabolism to power it. This means that you almost never
see a psionicist draw in energy from an external source, and the few times you do, there almost always
has to be some sort of mechanical means by which to draw that energy into the caster
directly. Most often though, psionics don't draw on external sources at all, they just
rely on a cascading effect instead. Now admittedly, we have an awful lot of latent
energy within our bodies if you start breaking nuclear bonds, as was discussed back in the
going nuclear video, but even so, this's not something which is likely to happen in general,
and usually leads to uncontrolled energy releases - we like to call these "explosions."
And as Michael Bay has taught us,
explosions are pretty awesome and all, but not so much when it's your head that's doing
the exploding bit, so yeah, no massive power buildups for psionicists.
So, going back to the issue of the reliance upon a cascading effect, psionics in virtually
every medium, from books to movies to games, tend to be based off the concept of amplifying
their effects. A small, initial effect quickly snowballs by triggering subsequent natural
-- or sometimes supernatural -- effects. Where a magician would gather large amounts
of external energy to create a fireball, such is a great deal of power required and it's
rather unweildy in nature. The psionicist doesn't have the luxury of brute forcing the
matter usually, and would make a more elegant solution - first off beginning a process which would
divide the moisture in the air into its component parts of hydrogen and oxygen,
which are both extremely flammable, then allowing
for a small spark to ignite it. This is much more energy efficient as the natural forces
present do most of the work for the psionicist instead.
Now the truly interesting aspect of such, is that with magic itself being a natural
force, it too can be nudged into behaving in a particular manner. Not in the way of
a spell, which would outline specific details for how to utilize the energy, but rather
relying upon the natural inclinations of magic as a whole. If, for example, a magical energy
source tends to be volatile, instead of trying to carefully instruct exactly how that energy
should be expended, the psionicist would simply trigger that volitility, such as a firm shake
to an unstable mana crystal causing it to shatter and release its contained energies.
Regardless, the point here is that psionics don't really have the power to completely
alter how other natural forces work, but there is the capacity to trigger what would be a
naturally occurring effect in a way that it may as well be altering such to the casual
observer. What are the most common examples of what
psionics tend to do? One of the major ones is being able to read minds. It's not like
there's even anything truly changing - the mind is still thinking the same as it would
otherwise, the only difference being that the psionic character can experience those
same thoughts directly as well from a distance. Another major example would be levitation,
primarily of objects. Bending a spoon, floating a coin in the air, etc. The examples given
for each differ by the individual setting which they take place in, but commonality
can be found in that, invariably, the same effects do exist, and they're effects that
aren't outside of the realm of nature. Lifting an object is hardly a bizarre effect, to the
point that the only thing odd about it at all is the fact that it's being done with
a character's mind without physically touching it. However, the effects are essentially the
same as if it were being physically lifted. The bent spoon is no different than a spoon
being bent with one's hands. These kinds of abilities are often grouped
together in psionics, especially in games, where it becomes clear that the physical force
used is, in fact, physical force. While it may seem quite difficult to us to lift a heavy
object, the actual amount of force being applied really isn't that much in practice. Let's
say we were to lift 100 kilograms, or 220 pounds, a distance of one meter, or a bit
over a yard. This would take 980 joules of energy to accomplish such. How much is that in calories though?
Brace yourselves...!
About 1/4 of a single calorie. Meaning if you ate an average apple,
you could lift about 20,930kg 1 meter off the ground. (NOTE: There was an error in the audio recording; it says 2,093kg but it's off by 1 decimal place. Sorry! )
Like, twenty tonnes. (Another error, same thing, I realized the error after it was uploaded sorry! )
Not bad for an apple. Or a cookie. A single oreo cookie is about 50 calories as well - about enough to lift 20 tonnes.
In psionics, rather than using your muscles in an inefficient manner to lift a given object,
this force is simply applied directly to the object itself.
So, the biggest question here is going to be what constitutes psionics and what constitutes magic?
What makes one different from the other? The easiest way to tell, is whether the power
source is internal or external, since a mage who channels energy directly through their
own body may look really similar to a psionicist, but they're still programming external energy
to create a given effect. In something like Full Metal Alchemist, it appears to be magic
at first glance, but upon careful scrutiny, it turns out to be essentially psionics, as
can be seen more clearly with the nature of the homunculi. In contrast, though The Force
from Star Wars may suggest that it's psionics given how it's mostly used for levitation
or speeding up the individual's motions, and the characters spend a lot of time meditating
or thinking about how to do things, the energy source of The Force is an ambient, external
energy which they channel through their bodies directly.
This can be quite confusing in that the two often appear very similar to one another,
and may have quite similar end results. As we covered earlier, however, gravity and magnets
can both be used to pull two things together as well. If you jump in the air, you come
back down to the ground again once more. If you were to have a strong magnet and tossed
a smaller magnet near it, the result would be quite similar. The processes in play, however,
are extremely different, as can be seen if you tossed an item which wasn't magnetic near
the magnet - it simply would ignore the magnet as if that magnet weren't even there.
So, too, does this mean that, even if magic and psionics can both create a fireball, the
means and methods by which they do so are greatly different from one another.
From there, however, there really isn't much else that you need to understand about the
differences between magic and psionics in fiction - as they're both fictional concepts,
they tend to have the specific details a bit up in the air as it is, but consistently these
can be separated by what we've covered here today.
So, with that, I'm out. I'll see you next time!
So yeah, the whole 2,000kg to 20,000kg thing was a total mistake on my part.
I mean, apparently I can lift ten times as much as I thought I could!
Well, maybe not all at once...
But still. I don't know my own strength.
Literally.

[BEST REVIEW] 2015 Hyundai Genesis Sedan V-6 RWD by Andrew Wendler - Duration: 3:43.In the early 1980s, the band Genesis pulled off one of the most difficult feats in show

Introduced for the 2009 model year, the first-gen Genesis earned its share of fans, but its

Carried over from the 2014 Genesis, the V-6 loses 22 horsepower (now 311) and gains 2

on flat torque curves, improved low-end response, and overall drivability rather than spec-sheet

The company also is quick to point out that the car delivers its output with regular 87-octane
fuel and that premium is not required.

JUST THE BRAINCHILD OF SOME WEIRDO IN THE LAB.
THE SAME AMOUNT OF PEOPLE BELIEVED THAT THEY HAD SEEN AND
BELIEVE THE FAKE NEWS AS REMEMBER SEEING AND BELIEVING
THE STUFF THAT THEY JUST MADE UP HIS FAKE NEWS AND NEVER RAN
WHICH IS REFLECTIVE OF THIS STUDY IN THAT PEOPLE ARE GOING
TO BELIEVE WHAT THEY WANT TO BELIEVE AND IF YOU ASK THEM
QUESTIONS, THEY WILL JUST FILE IT AWAY INTO THE THING THAT
BACKS UP THEIR ARGUMENT WHETHER THEY HAVE THOUGHT IT THROUGH OR ARE
NOT AND WHETHER THEY FEEL LIKE THEY NEED TO JUSTIFY ANY OF
THEIR PART.
THEY PROCESS ALONG THE WAY.
I DISAGREE KIND OF.
I THINK THAT THIS IS THE SAME CONCEPT AS OBAMACARE
VERSUS THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT.
I THINK THAT PEOPLE ARE JUST UNAWARE.
I THINK PEOPLE JUST THINK DONALD TRUMP PUSHED HIS NARRATIVE
THAT HILLARY CLINTON WAS A CROOK THE ENTIRE TIME.
SHE'S A CRIMINAL NEEDS TO BE PUNISHED.
SHE'S RICH, SHE GETS AWAY WITH ALL OF THESE THINGS.
IRONICALLY, HE WAS ALSO RICH BUT WHATEVER.
PEOPLE DIDN'T PUT TWO AND TWO TOGETHER.
IS THIS THAT IMPORTANT OF AN ISSUE?
DID SHE COMPROMISE NATIONAL SECURITY?
SOME PEOPLE IN THE INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY THINK THAT SHE
DID COMPROMISE NATIONAL SECURITY AND THAT SHE SHOULD OF BEEN
PUNISHED AND IT'S KIND OF MESSED UP THAT LOWER-LEVEL PEOPLE
GET WAY LARGER PUNISHMENTS.
WE TALKED ABOUT THAT EXTENSIVELY
AS WELL DOTTED THINK PEOPLE ARE PUTTING TWO AND TWO TOGETHER.
I THINK THESE PEOPLE THAT ARE SUPPORTING DONALD TRUMP AND
I HILLARY CLINTON WAS A CROOK AND VOTED FOR DONALD TRUMP
BECAUSE OF IT ARE NOT AWARE THAT THAT WAS THE NUANCE, THAT
WAS THE REASON WHY SHE WAS LABELED AS A CRIMINAL.
I THINK PEOPLE ALSO REALLY DISCOUNT THE FACT THAT ALL
OF THE THINGS SHE GOT CRITICIZED FOR IN A LOT OF CASES
RIGHTFULLY SO DIDN'T REALLY MATTER.
PEOPLE JUST REALLY HATED HILLARY CLINTON.
THE DNC COMPLETELY DISCOUNTED THAT.
PEOPLE DESPISED HER AND EVEN IF THEY KNEW NOTHING ABOUT HER
POLICY IDEAS OR WHAT SHE DID WRONG IN THE PAST, SHE CAME
OFF AS A ROBOT WHO WAS MISLEADING AND WHO WAS A LIAR.
IT WAS AMAZING BECAUSE WHEN IT CAME TO THE DEBATES BETWEEN
DONALD TRUMP AND HILLARY CLINTON, HILLARY CLINTON
WASN'T HONEST HUNDRED PERCENT OF THE TIME.
THERE WERE TIMES THAT SHE WAS MISLEADING AS WELL HOWEVER
DONALD TRUMP LIED MUCH MORE THAN HILLARY CLINTON DEAD AND
POLITICAL FACTS, SNOPES, ALL THOSE DIFFERENT FACT CHECKING
WEBSITES HAVE THE NUMBERS FOR YOU IF YOU WANT TO LOOK INTO
THAT AND IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME, BUT WHAT WAS SO INTERESTING
IS DONALD TRUMP CAME ACROSS AS SOMEONE MORE TRUSTWORTHY, RIGHT?
SO I THINK THAT KIND OF STUFF PLAYS A MUCH BIGGER ROLE IN
WHAT HAPPENED.
THERE WERE SOME INTERVIEWS I SAW WERE PEOPLE SAY THEY
KNOW HE IS NOT TELLING THE TRUTH BUT SOME OF THE QUESTIONS
AND A LOT OF THOSE POLLS WERE IN OVERLAP OF DOES HE TELL THE
TRUTH OR DOES HE JUST BECAUSE MIND?
HE IS HONESTLY SAYING WHAT IS IN HIS MIND AND THAT RESONATES
WITH A LOT OF PEOPLE.
HE IS HONESTLY SAYING WHAT IS IN HIS MIND BUT MOST OF THE
STUFF IN HIS MIND IS DISHONEST.
THAT IS A WEIRD THING.
THAT IS SUCH A GREAT DISTINCTION.
PATHOLOGICAL LYING BY THE WAY.
THAT IS BEING A PATHOLOGICAL LIAR BECAUSE THAT IS YOU
BELIEVING THE INSANE THINGS THAT ARE COMING OUT OF YOUR MOUTH.
THE ULTIMATE CONCLUSION OF SAYING STUFF TO SEE IF YOU
CAN GET AWAY WITH IT.
ALSO, THE CONCLUSIONS OF THIS STUDY ARE IN LINE WITH SOMETHING
HE HIMSELF SAID WHICH WAS THEY LET HIM DO WHATEVER HE WANTS OR
I COULD STAND IN THE MIDDLE OF FIFTH AVENUE AND SHOOT
SOMEONE AND NO ONE WOULD GET MAD AT ME.
THAT IS WHAT THIS IS.
YOU CAN DO SOMETHING ILLEGAL BECAUSE IT IS YOU AND I LET
YOU DO WHAT YOU WANT.
SHAKE UP THE ESTABLISHMENT, DRAIN THE SWAMP.

YouTuber Lena the Plug Vows to Record Sex Tape If She Gets 1 Million Subscribers - Duration: 5:22.I want to make a lame video with no value at all.
Yo, welcome, I'm Heathcliff and this is Lions .
Seriously, this is the cheapest video I've ever aired on Lions Ground, and I am proud
it.
Because these days you don't have to be a talent on Youtube.
The more moron you are, the better ... so ....
Let's continue with this "f**ked up" video.
Youtube is a place where content creators and content seekers find each other.
For the Youtuber "Lena the Plug" a chance to fuck herself up.
In her video "$EXTAPE AT 1 MILL", she announced to make a sex tape if Lena along with her
boyfriend reaches 1 million subscribers.
Perhaps an idea for Tyler of SecureTeam10, who also does everything for views.
Gloryholing with Aliens on Mars, maybe.
But who is Lena?
I 've asked some of my friends about "Lena the Plug" and this is what they had
to say about her:
The real reason I'm doing this video is not
to dis Lena the Butt Plug (she has already made a fool out of herself), but that one
of the most reliable news sources we know, Sputnik News, find it newsworthy to publish
the shittiest story as if we have no problems on Earth.
Even the regular readers of this news outlet had to shit out their butt plug and expressed
their lack of understanding: "Who cares...has this news outlet suddenly
become Fox News?"
"Wow.
Sputnik is becoming a cheap boulevard news outlet?"
"Who cares?
Has this news channel suddenly become msnbc or National enquirer."
Alternative news outlets are being attacked from all sides by mainstream media supported
by Internet giants such as Facebook, Twitter, and Google as they publish this nonsense.
Talking about Google, the king of search engines has already put 200 publishers on the blacklist.
While we have to deal with the most irrelevant idiotic stories.
It is not if Lions Ground will be blacklisted, but when, and when that happens --- it's finished
with me.
Because they determine what you should read.
That's reality in which we live today.
I have nothing more to say!

Literally.

To Realize A New Earth For All - Duration: 5:31.To Realize A New Earth For All.
by Katie IndiCrow,
In the last few months I have been noticing how energy waves contribute to wake up
calls of consciousness which, in turn, expose the fragility/lies/injustice upon which
our current structures are built.
For example, many first wavers and blue rays were spurred into awakening into the 60-70s
through the Vietnam War and the Civil Rights Movement.
Another wave of us were blasted awake through the 2008-2011 between the global recession
and the Occupy Movement.
From this point, it seems we have had almost continuous large-spread movements built up
around securing access of means of survival such as the case in the anti-austerity movements
in Ireland, Greece and beyond.
There have also been powerful Indigenous led movements such as Idle No More and the Standing
Rock anti-pipeline action.
Our most recent series of waves have seen us through the US presidential election race
and the impressive spectrum of actions created to oppose Trumps policies and practices.
The common thread uniting each of these movements?
People are recognizing themselves as part of a community and/or collective and acting
to protect that against what they view to be endangerment.
Let us take a moment and think about the power that lies in that.
Those who havent done social justice action sometimes assume protesters just show up,
make noise and mess, and then leave.
(And there are some who do.)
As many of us have learned or are learning, joining with members of your community in
these activities create space for capacity building, connections formed, and growth.
Protests are but one piece of what goes on.
There is planning, circulating information, holding prayer circles, making friends, hosting
meetings, and so much more.
Through organizing events and campaigns, people learn to cooperate with one another and articulate
their concerns.
In a sense, these activities represent instances where people identify themselves as part of
a community that is worth protecting.
Each of these experiences can serves as elements in our growth, giving us the chance to learn
key tools and realize the capacity that we have to contribute positively to our environments.
From a practical standpoint, it is important that we do not get so caught up with protecting
and fighting what already exists that we forget to take the spaces created by the systemic
crumbling to build the very things that we know WE DESERVE!
This is a reason why I have adopted the phrase choose love in situations like this.
Ive written more about this here:
Through experiences in activism and organization, I have seen a lot of people getting burnt
out beating their heads against the wall getting caught up in the same cyclical argument of
cat and mouse that Cabal based power structure have built to trip them up.
Well, friends.
You know what they cant stop?
LOVE.
HIGH VIBRATIONS.
They.
Cant.
Touch.
This.
Especially not if we build from a pure and clear energetic space.
In this sense, choosing love does not mean ignorance or avoidance of engaging with the
true core of these issues.
Nor does it mean turning a blind eye to what is going on.
It means allowing yourself to be triggered by the BS, moving through that, and turning
that energy which was once used for anger into creating positive change.
Many people are outraged right now, just like those of us who were awoken through political
activity once were (and heck, some still may be).
If you are one of these people.
I love you and am so glad you are recognizing your bond with One.
Sometimes it really does take a big old mirror with Donald Trump on the handle to show us
the ridiculousness of what weve been.
If you are reading this article, youre finding it in a place that specifically addresses
energy and ascension.
When you are ready, I invite you to apply these principles to how you approach the world
around you.
To realize a new earth for all, we know that the changes we are making must be both structural
and metaphysical.
That means that at some point, we need to stop getting pissed off or disenfranchising
ourselves and step up to the plate to make things happen in our societies in a constructive
way.
If we can harness this beautiful energy that is being brought up through the triggering
and recognition of common interest and community, weve got it made.
Changes like many of us are hearing at Standing Rock DO NOT mean
the end.
Theyre a chance for more beginnings.

Episode 1031 | People, Power & Democracy: State Budget Fixes - Duration: 11:58.>> RICHARD ANKLAM IS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE NEW MEXICO TAX
RESEARCH INSTITUTE.
RICHARD THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE.
>> THANK YOU FOR HAVING ME.
>> FRED NATHAN, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THINK NEW MEXICO.
THANKS FOR COMING IN.
>> THANK YOU FOR HAVING ME AS WELL.
>> RICHARD, I WANT TO START WITH YOU.
THE LEGISLATURE MOVED SURPRISINGLY QUICKLY IN THE
FIRST TWO WEEKS TO FIX THE HOLE IN THE CURRENT BUDGET
YEAR, THAT IS, IN JUNE.
WHAT DID THEY DO THERE?
>> WELL, THEY BASICALLY JUST WENT INTO A SECOND SPECIAL
SESSION.
THEY DIDN'T REALLY FIX THE PROBLEM IN THE LAST SPECIAL
SESSION WE HAD IN NOVEMBER.
THINGS GOT WORSE.
PERHAPS THEY DIDN'T DO ENOUGH GIVEN THE ELECTION CYCLE, BUT
THAT IS WHAT THEY GOT DOWN TO THE BUSINESS OF WHEN CONVENED
THIS YEAR WAS FIXING THE CURRENT YEAR BUDGE CRISIS AND
THEY APPEAR TO HAVE ACCOMPLISHED THAT, I THINK.
>> WITH A BUNCH OF LITTLE NIPS AND TUCKS AND CUTS?
>> SWAPS AND DEFERRALS, YES.
>> NOW, THEY HAVE AN EVEN HARDER JOB BECAUSE WE HAVE THE
NEXT FISCAL YEAR THAT STARTS IN JULY AND WE HAVE AN EVEN
BIGGER HOLE THERE.
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE WAYS THEY ARE LOOKING AT FIXING NEXT
YEAR.
>> NEXT YEAR, I THINK ANYTHING IS ON THE TABLE.
WE STILL HAVE A DEFICIT.
IT IS WORSE THAN WHAT THEY HAD TO DEAL WITH THIS YEAR.
TAXES ARE SORT OF ON THE TABLE.
GOVERNOR DOESN'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT TAXES, BUT, CERTAINLY,
IT IS SIMPLE ARITHMETIC.
EITHER DECREASE COSTS OR INCREASE REVENUE OR A LITTLE
BIT OF BOTH, TO SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM.
WE HAVE TO BALANCE OUR BUDGET ONE WAY OR THE OTHER.
>> IT IS A BIG CRISIS, A LOT OF MONEY.
PEOPLE ARE SAYING IT IS THE WORST THEY CAN REMEMBER.
DOES THAT SOUND RIGHT?
>> THAT DOESN'T SOUND RIGHT, BECAUSE WE DID HAVE THE GREAT
DEPRESSION, AFTER ALL, AND BACK THEN, WE JUST HAD
PROPERTY TAXES AND PROPERTY TAXES PLUMMETED.
SO I THINK WE HAVE SEEN WORSE BUT IN RECENT MEMORY, YOU'RE
RIGHT, I DON'T THINK I CAN REMEMBER ANYTHING QUITE THIS
SEVERE.
>> NOW, YOU KNOW, I WAS IN A COMMITTEE HEARING YESTERDAY
AND I UNDERSTOOD, I THINK, ABOUT 8% OF WHAT THEY SAID.
I HAVE BEEN AROUND A WHILE.
HOW TRANSPARENT IS IT WHEN THEY MAKE ALL THESE TINY CUTS
FROM FUNDS WE HAVE NEVER HEARD OF?
>> IT IS NOT VERY TRANSPARENT AT ALL TO THE REGULAR PERSON,
EVEN TO SOMEONE LIKE YOU, WHO IS AROUND THE LEGISLATURE ALL
THE TIME.
AND THAT MAY BE AN ISSUE THAT BUBBLES UP THIS SESSION,
BECAUSE MORE AND MORE GROUPS, GROUPS LIKE LEAGUE OF WOMEN
VOTERS, FOUNDATION FOR OPEN GOVERNMENT, ARE SAYING, WE
SHOULD MAKE THIS BUDGETING PROCESS MUCH MORE TRANSPARENT.
AND THERE IS TOO MUCH OF A TENDENCY TO GO BEHIND CLOSED
DOORS, MAKE AN ARRANGEMENT AND THEN COME OUT IN THE PUBLIC
AND RATIFY THAT DECISION.
SO, THAT IS SOMETHING TO WATCH THIS SESSION.
>> RICHARD, MANY PEOPLE ARE SAYING THAT WE ARE TOO
DEPENDENT ON OIL AND GAS REVENUE AND THAT IS WHY WE
HAVE THESE CRAZY CRISES.
HOW COULD WE PROTECT OURSELVES FROM WILD SWINGS IN A MARKET
WE CAN'T CONTROL?
>> WE CAN DO A BETTER JOB OF BUDGETING AND SHOWING
RESTRAINT.
WHAT WE TEND TO DO IS WE GO THROUGH THESE BOOM AND BUST
CYCLES WITH THE OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY.
WHEN PRICES ARE GOOD, ALL SINS ARE FORGIVEN.
WE CAN DO ALL KINDS OF STUFF, SOME NOT SO SMART, OTHERS GOOD
STUFF TOO. AND WE FORGET ABOUT THE FACT
THAT THE PRICE WILL DROP AGAIN AND THAT CAUSES PROBLEMS
IN OUR GENERAL FUND.
GIVE OR TAKE A THIRD COMES FROM OIL AND GAS, DIRECTLY OR
INDIRECTLY, AND THAT IS A BIG CHUNK.
AND, SO, THERE IS MECHANISMS YOU CAN BUILD WITH GOOD
RESERVES AND BUT IT REQUIRES DISCIPLINE AND THAT IS
SOMETHING THAT IT IS HARD FOR POLITICIANS TO HAVE BECAUSE
EVERYTHING IS A VERY SHORT TERM FOCUS TYPICALLY.
>> WE'RE ALWAYS -- I THINK, THIS HAPPENS TOO OFTEN, THERE
IS TOO MUCH OF AN EMPHASIS OR RECENCY BIAS WHERE WE
OVER-EMPHASIZE WHAT JUST HAPPENS.
SO WHEN PRICES ARE GOOD, WE TEND TO BE OVERLY BULLISH.
WHEN PRICES ARE BAD, WE TEND TO BE OVERLY BEARISH.
I AM SORT OF SKEPTICAL ABOUT THIS ASSUMPTION THAT IT IS A
300 TO 500 MILLION DEFICIT, BECAUSE THAT SEEMS TO OVERLOOK
SOME THINGS THAT ARE GOING ON RIGHT NOW.
FOR EXAMPLE, A FEW WEEKS AGO, EXXON, ANOTHER MAJOR OIL
COMPANY, SPENT 10 BILLION TO BUY UP THE LAND IN THE PERMIAN
BASIN WHICH IS NOW CONSIDERED THE MOST SIGNIFICANT OIL PLACE
IN THE COUNTRY.
AND, SO, THAT MEANS MORE RIGS.
I MEAN, EXXON IS NOT SPENDING ALL THAT MONEY FOR THE
LANDSCAPE.
THEY ARE SPENDING IT BECAUSE THEY ARE GOING TO DRILL.
THAT CREATES JOBS, THAT IS GOING TO CREATE ECONOMIC
ACTIVITY.
AT SOME POINT THERE IS A REVERSING TO THE MEAN AND I
JUST WONDER WHETHER THINGS AREN'T QUITE AS DIRE AS THEY
HAVE BEEN PRESENTED.
>> WE WON'T KNOW FOR A LITTLE BIT.
YOU'RE BIG ISSUE LAST SESSION WAS INFRASTRUCTURE FUNDING AND
THE PROCESS WE USE TO DO THAT.
THE REFORMS YOU WANTED DIDN'T HAPPEN LAST YEAR.
SO, YOU'RE STILL ON THAT TOPIC NOW.
YOU ARGUE THE WAY WE DO CAPITAL OUTLAY IS WASTEFUL AND
INEFFICIENT.
HOW WOULD FIXING THAT SYSTEM HELP OUR ECONOMY?
>> WELL, I MEAN, RIGHT NOW WE ARE GOING TO HAVE THIS DEBATE
AS TO WHETHER TO RAISE TAXES OR CUT SPENDING AND WE ARE
ARGUING THERE IS A THIRD WAY WHICH IS TO ADOPT POLICIES
THAT WILL CREATE JOBS.
AND THIS IS A GREAT EXAMPLE.
RIGHT NOW WE SPEND A LOT OF THAT MONEY ON THINGS LIKE
WRESTLING MATS, FOOTBALL HELMETS, SILVERWARE FOR SENIOR
CITIZEN CENTERS.
WE SHOULD BE SPENDING THAT ON INFRASTRUCTURE, ROADS AND
WATER SYSTEMS.
THOSE CREATE JOBS.
IN A NORMAL YEAR WE SPEND ABOUT 300 MILLION ON CAPITAL
OUTLAY AND INFRASTRUCTURE.
THAT SHOULD GENERATE ABOUT 8100 JOBS A YEAR.
BUT, BECAUSE THERE IS NO PLAN, THERE IS NO OBJECTIVE
CRITERIA, A LOT OF THESE PROJECTS NEVER HAPPEN AND
MONEY SITS IDLE ON THE SIDELINE.
SO, IF WE CREATE A BETTER PROCESS, WHICH WE ARE TRYING
TO DO WITH THIS BILL THAT WILL BE INTRODUCED ON FRIDAY, WE
THINK THERE WILL BE A PLAN.
THERE WILL BE OBJECTIVE CRITERIA AND THAT MONEY WILL
GET SPENT AND THAT WILL LEAD TO MORE JOB DEVELOPMENT.
>> NOT GOING TO FIX THE PROBLEM WE HAVE RIGHT NOW.
>> NOT RIGHT NOW, BUT COULD START AS EARLY AS NEXT YEAR IF
WE PASS THE BILL THIS YEAR AND CREATE JOBS FOR NEXT YEAR.
>> LAWMAKERS ARE UNDER A TON OF PRESSURE TO CUT, CUT, CUT
EVERYWHERE THEY CAN.
OTHERS ARE SAYING, WE CUT AS FAR AS WE CAN GO AND WE HAVE
TO HAVE MORE MONEY COMING IN.
THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT THINGS LIKE RAISING OR INSTITUTING
TAXES ON GAS, LIQUOR, TOBACCO, THINGS WE BUY FROM AMAZON AND
OTHER PLACES ONLINE.
AND ON NEW AND USED CARS.
THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SAID THAT THERE IS WIGGLE ROOM
HERE.
THEY MIGHT BE ABLE TO GO FOR A LITTLE SOMETHING BUT GOVERNOR
HAS NOT YET SAID THAT SHE COULD BUDGE FROM HER NO NEW
TAXES PLEDGE.
HOW CAN LAWMAKERS AND THE GOVERNOR FIND SOME COMPROMISE
HERE WHERE EVERYONE CAN SAVE FACE?
>> WELL THAT IS EASY, WE JUST CLOSE LOOPHOLES.
EVERYTHING IS FAIR.
>> CLOSE TAX LOOPHOLES.
WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
>> IT IS SEMANTICS, IN THE EYES OF THE BEHOLDER.
NOT ALLOWED TO USE THE T WORD, RIGHT?
REVENUE ENHANCEMENTS.
>> IF YOU CALL IT CLOSING A TAX LOOPHOLE, IT IS NOT A NEW
TAX BUT YOU ARE RAISING REVENUES?
>> YES.
>> WHAT ARE SOME OF THE LOOPHOLES WE MIGHT LOOK AT?
>> WELL, YOU KNOW, THE REMOTE SALES ISSUE.
INTERNET COMMERCE.
YOU COULD BRAND THAT AS A LOOPHOLE IF YOU WANTED TO, I
THINK.
THERE IS FAIRNESS ISSUES AND ISSUES OF LOCAL BUSINESSES AND
THINGS LIKE THAT, BUT YOU CAN ALSO CALL IT A TAX INCREASE.
>> IF I BUY A BOOK AT A LOCAL BOOK STORE, I PAY SALES TAX ON
IT, BUT IF I BUY AT AMAZON, I DON'T.
>> CORRECT AND THAT IS NOT VERY GOOD FOR THE LOCAL
BUSINESS, EITHER, SO, YOU KNOW, I KNOW THERE WILL BE
PROPOSALS ON THAT SUBJECT.
GOVERNOR DOESN'T SEEM TO BE VERY WARM ON THAT IDEA.
IF YOU WANTED TO SAY IT IS MORE ABOUT FAIRNESS AND NOT SO
MUCH A TAX INCREASE, THAT IS AN EXAMPLE OF SOMETHING IT
WOULD BE EASIER TO PAINT THAT PICTURE.
>> AND BUSINESSES COULD GET BEHIND THINGS LIKE THAT?
>> YES.
>> MOST BUSINESSES ARE BEHIND THAT.
IT AFFECTS RETAILERS, AND, YOU KNOW, AND A FEW PEOPLE OUTSIDE
THE STATE BUT CONSUMERS DON'T -- NONE OF US -- WE ARE
ALL FOR TAXES AS LONG AS WE DON'T HAVE TO PAY THEM.
THAT IS THE PROBLEM.
SO, NONE OF US WANT TO PAY TAX ON AMAZON BUT DON'T WANT LOCAL
BUSINESSES TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS AS A RESULT.
AND WE NEED MONEY, SO, YOU KNOW, YOU DON'T WANT A LEAKY
SYSTEM.
LEAKY TAX SYSTEMS ARE DUMB AND INVARIABLY IMPLODE.
IF WE DON'T FIX IT, IT WILL FIX ITSELF OVER TIME.
THAT JUST WON'T HELP US BALANCE THE BUDGET IN THE NEXT
COUPLE OF YEARS.
>> ARE THERE ANY OTHER LOOPHOLES THAT WE ARE GOING TO
SEE DEBATED IN COMING WEEKS?
>> LOTS OF THINGS THAT YOU CALL LOOPHOLES OR PEOPLE WILL.
ANYONE'S PROJECT WILL BE A LOOPHOLE.
IF YOU WANT TO INCREASE TOBACCO TAXES, WE'LL SAY IT IS
A LOOPHOLE.
IF YOU WANT TO INCREASE PERSONAL INCOME TAXES, WE'LL
CALL IT A LOOPHOLE.
I AM BEING FACETIOUS.
WE WANT TO GET AWAY FROM THE SEMANTICS AND THE DEMAGOGUERY.
WE HAVE A REAL PROBLEM.
WE HAVE A FISCAL SYSTEM AND A TAX SYSTEM THAT FUNDS IT AND
IT IS ALL ABOUT THAT SYSTEM.
IT IS NOT ALL ABOUT DID WE RAISE A PENNY HERE AND CUT A
PENNY THERE.
THAT IS GETTING INTO THE WEEDS.
THAT IS POLITICIANS.
>> YOU KNOW, WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THESE TAXES ON ALCOHOL
AND GAS AND CARS AND THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT SAY
WE NEED TO BRING BACK THE TAX WE USED TO HAVE ON FOOD.
YOU THINK THAT IS A BAD IDEA?
>> YES, I DO.
BUT I WANT TO SAY, I AGREE WITH RICHARD.
I DO THINK WE DESPERATELY NEED TAX REFORM AND THAT HAS BEEN
BROUGHT OUT IN THE OPEN BY THE DROP IN OIL AND GAS TAXES.
I WOULD JUST ARGUE THAT IF YOU'RE GOING TO DO TAX REFORM,
AND WHAT WE NEED TO DO IS BROADEN THE BASE BY CLOSING
LEGITIMATE LOOPHOLES, AND DIVERSIFYING OUR REVENUE BASE.
BUT, I DON'T THINK THAT TAXING FOOD OR MEDICINE OR PHYSICIANS
MAKES A LOT OF SENSE.
ONE THING THAT RICHARD SAYS, WHICH I TOTALLY AGREE WITH, IS
WE NEED A TAX SYSTEM THAT LOOKS LIKE OTHER STATES.
AND WHEN I LOOK AROUND THE COUNTRY, 34 STATES EXEMPT FOOD
FROM TAX.
INCLUDING ALL OF OUR SURROUNDING STATES.
SO THAT IS PART OF OUR SYSTEM I DON'T THINK IS BROKEN, BUT,
THERE IS LOTS OF AREAS WHERE I THINK WE CAN CREATE REVENUE
NEUTRAL REFORMS THAT BROADEN THE BASE AND LOWER THE RATES.
>> SPEAKING OF SURROUNDING STATES THAT TAX THINGS,
MARIJUANA, RICHARD.
THERE ARE SEVERAL PROPOSALS UP THERE THIS YEAR THAT WOULD
LEGALIZE RECREATIONAL MARIJUANA AND THERE ARE
PROPOSALS TO THEN TAX THE HECK OUT OF IT.
IF WE DID THAT, HOW MUCH MONEY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT?
HOW MUCH HELP WOULD THAT BE.
>> THAT IS A FUNCTION OF QUANTITY AND PRICE.
YOU KNOW, OR TAX RATE, RIGHT?
SO, I THINK THE TAX FOUNDATION DID A 50 STATE STUDY ON THAT
PARTICULAR QUESTION USING, 15, 20, 25 TAX RATES AND WE RANGED
ANYWHERE FROM 25 MILLION TO OVER 50 IN THEIR STUDY.
I HAVEN'T LOOKED AT NUMBERS MYSELF.
COLORADO HAS SEEN BETTER NUMBERS THAN THAT BUT THEY
HAVE THREE TIMES THE POPULATION WE HAVE.
AND THEY HAD A BUMP, YOU KNOW, IN TOURISM AND THRILL SEEKERS
AND THINGS LIKE THAT.
THOSE EFFECTS GO AWAY OVER TIME AS OTHER STATES ADOPT
SIMILAR LAWS.
NEW MEXICO WOULDN'T SEE THAT TO THE EXTENT THAT COLORADO
DID, BUT IT WOULD STILL RAISE POTENTIALLY MONEY, BUT IT
WOULDN'T RAISE IT TODAY BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO IMPLEMENT
ENTIRELY NEW TAX REGIME AND PROGRAM, REGULATORY SCHEME
LIKE COLORADO DID.
THERE WOULD BE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THAT AND IT
WOULD TAKE TIME.
>> 50 MILLION IS A BIG PART OF THE BUDGET HOLE THAT WE JUST
HAD TO PATCH FOR THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR.
>> THAT IS CORRECT.
>> SO, WHERE DO YOU THINK THAT IS GOING TO GO?
>> WELL, I DON'T BELIEVE THE GOVERNOR IS A FAN.
I DON'T THINK SHE CALLS IT A REGRESSIVE TAX INCREASE.
I SAY THAT AS A JOKE BECAUSE IT WOULD BE, BUT, I THINK HER
REASONS ARE CRIME RELATED, YOU KNOW.
THERE IS WORKFORCE SAFETY ISSUES.
THERE IS A LOT OF LEGITIMATE DEBATES TO BE HAD AROUND THE
SUBJECT OF MARIJUANA.
I DON'T LIKE TO START THE CONVERSATION BY ASSUMING THAT
NO ONE SMOKES IT NOW BECAUSE THERE IS A TAX BASE THAT WE
DON'T TAX.
BUT YOU DON'T NECESSARILY WANT TO ENCOURAGE UNHEALTHY
BEHAVIORS EITHER.
THERE IS A GOOD LEGITIMATE DEBATE TO BE HAD BUT THERE IS
MONEY ON THE TABLE AS WELL.
>> WE WOULD HAVE THOSE EXACT SAME DEBATES ON A WHOLE HOST
OF SIMILAR AND VERY DIFFERENT IDEAS FOR THE REST OF THE
SESSION.
THANK YOU FOR BEING WITH US.
>> THANK YOU FOR HAVING US.

Scuba Diving With Q - Australia Day 2017 Scuba Diving At Kings Beach 28c Water Temp! #ScubaDive - Duration: 4:52.Hey people of the interwebs it is Q with
another scuba diving adventure. it's a public
holiday because it's Australia Day today
it's a Thursday morning, it's 6:30 and it's
23 degrees outside already.
And if the weather forecasters have got
it right, it's going to be a very hot 35
degrees later on today. So it's probably
a good thing that I'm heading out to do
some scuba diving.
I'm gonna hook up with my dive Buddy
Gordon and we're going to check out a
dive site that we looked at before, it's
called Point Arkwright and we're going
to try and get in there today if we can.
So we went up the coast and had a look
at that spot, but unfortunately there were
quite big waves rolling in and the
visibility just wasn't there either, so
we're back in a Caloundra and I'm here
at Shelly Beach, where I was yesterday
just 24 hours ago, and there was plenty of
visibility. at least 5 meters, maybe 6.
And right now there's nothing, it's just
weird. After a quick check around of the
other Caloundra dive sites, Gordon and I
reckoned that Kings Beach boat ramp is
going to give us the best overall
conditions, with surface conditions being
quite flat and the visibility probably
somewhere between the 4 to 6 metre
range. Being a public holiday it was
quite busy, but luckily we managed to get
a car park and we were in the water in
no time. And the water temperature was
absolutely fabulous 28 degrees Celsius
which is 82.4 Fahrenheit. Very very nice.
We did a short surface swim out
around about a 100 metres or so, got
some bearings and dropped down to see
what we could find. And i started the dive
seeing this small ray glide past.
We hit the deck in just 3.6 metres of
water, which is 11.8 feet. As I turned
around to Gordon he was making some
final adjustments to his gear, gave me the
ok and we set off in search of adventure.
The first half of this dive was a little
bit disappointing. The visibility was
very variable, in parts it might have been
down to 3 or 4 meters and then in other
parts it opened up to almost 6 metres.
And surprisingly there wasn't a lot to see either.
So we cruised around a
little bit more, in the hopes of finding
something, but nothing turned up. So I
indicated to Gordon that we should head
closer to the shore, to see what we could
find in the shallow water.
And that's when the fish started to
appear.
Unfortunately the shoals of these two
fish were in a patch of water where the
vis was down to around about 3 meters.
But I took it as a sign that we were on
the right track. Once we did get into the
shallows the main thing to contend with
was the big surge, which at times made
filming a little bit difficult, but there
was plenty to see and plenty to film.
Our maximum depth on this dive was 5.7
meters, which is 18.7 feet. The water
temperature was a balmy 28 degrees,
which is 82.4 fahrenheit and our dive time in
which total was 56 minutes. If you've enjoyed

Trump Says He Will Deliver On 'Extreme Vetting' For Immigrants And Refugees. - Duration: 2:06.Trump Says He Will Deliver On Extreme Vetting For Immigrants And Refugees.
BY KAITLAN COLLINS.
Donald Trump said he will deliver on his campaign promise to enact extreme vetting for
immigrants and refugees entering the United States.
In his first television interview since being sworn in as president, Trump said our country
has enough problems without allowing people to come in who, in many cases or in some cases,
are looking to do tremendous destruction.
Were going to have extreme vetting in all cases, and I mean extreme, Trump told
ABCs David Muir Wednesday night, And were not letting people in if we think
theres even a little chance of some problem. We are excluding certain countries, but
for other countries we are going to have extreme vetting.
Its going to be very hard to come in.
Right now its very easy to come in.
Its going to be very, very hard.
I dont want terror in this country.
You look at what happened in San Bernardino, you look at what happened all over.
You look at what happened in the World Trade Center, OK?
When asked by Muir if he thought his vetting would cause more anger among Muslims,
Trump said theres plenty of anger right now.
How can you get any more?
The world is a mess.
The world is as angry as it gets.
The world is an angry place.
Trump said its not strictly a Muslim ban.
Were talking about no its not the Muslim ban, he said.
But its countries that have tremendous terror, its countries that people are going
to come in and cause us tremendous problems.
Our country has enough problems without allowing people to come in who, in many cases or in
some cases, are looking to do tremendous destruction.
