Luan Bates - Listen Up, Mates (Acoustic Session) - Duration: 5:44.

Nobody never stays round here

You really need to make a change

Even when you don't have a choice

Time flies for everybody, for real

And we just sit down at the living room...

While our stomachs are growing up

While our old problems are getting old

Soon we will have bills to pay

Soon our dreams, they will fly away...

Now we don't care about the time

But what are we gonna do with our kids?

Even we're just a bunch of teenagers

Once deads (sic) our lives will get bored

And we just turned on the computer...

But this spring is not good for some ones

Sometimes we just want to throw it all away

Life never made much sense at all

For people made of feelings and songs

While our stomachs are growing up

While our old problems are getting old

Soon we will have bills to pay

Soon our dreams, they will fly away...

Healthy For Good: Don't Be a Zombie - Duration: 2:14.

Okay, guys. Great job on features

last month. That was really cool.

It really helped with the layout.

Alex, that was great.

Same with you, Nina.

That was awesome.

So for the logo we're gonna go brighter.

We're gonna go more toward the brand of it.

You know? And go with the trends of

oranges and blues. That's what they want right now.

Also, let's see...our margins this month

weren't great though.

I think we'd like to concentrate more...

Dee, do you wanna grab salads for lunch?

*zombie noise*

Dee. No.

No, no, no.

You can't do this anymore.

You're out of control.

You're staying up all night.

You're eating junk food.

You're watching terrible TV shows.

We need to get you help, okay?

Dee. Dee.

C'mon.

I used to be like you, okay?

This is the first step.

It's time. C'mon.

C'mon. Get it out.

*zombie noise*

*annoyed Zombie noise*

Awesome. Yes!

C'mon. No more.

You can do it, Dee.

You don't need this.

No, no, no, no!

Think about all the work we did.

How to Build a Good Reading Habit - Duration: 6:27.

Hey guys! What's up?

So I notice that in a lot of people's new year's resolutions,

they state that they want to begin reading more books

So today I thought I'd share some tips on how to develop a good reading habit!

Please keep in mind that the things I'm about to say here are my personal tips so they may or may not work for you

Either way, I still hope you guys will enjoy watching this video

Well then, let's start!

We all know how easy it is to get distracted by our gadgets

especially when we're doing something that we don't really want to do

So before you start, make sure you've gotten rid of all the gadgets that may distract you from reading

Choose a book that is easy to read

When you first start reading

it's best not to choose a book that's too thick or a classic book with a lot of complex words in it

because it will most likely turn you off from reading

and make you close the book before you even finish the first page

I recommend choosing a light novel or a book with some pictures in it

When I first decided to start reading English books

I chose to read the Mary-Kate and Ashley detective novel series

Each novel contains less than 100 pages

not to mention the texts are big and easy to read

and the content is also very light and easy to understand since it is targeted towards teenagers

It also has bonus pictures and detective tips & tricks inside

so I was always looking forward to reaching that page when I read the novel

When I felt like I was ready to start reading something a little bit more difficult

I chose to read the Emily the Strange novels

They have a lot of pictures in it which keep the readers from getting bored

and they are written in a style of a personal diary

so even though the words used there are more difficult than the ones in the Mary-Kate and Ashley novels

they were still understandable for a non-native English speaker like me

I then gradually moved to different books with a higher complexity level

until I'm finally able to read classic novels

So start out by reading light books that you find interesting and easy to understand

Once you get the hang of reading, you can then move on to reading thicker and more complex books

if that is what you are interested in

If not, then you can always stick to reading simple books

It all depends on your preference

My favourite place to read is my bedroom

either at my desk or on my bed

I like it here because it's my quiet personal space that is free from distractions by other people

But of course that doesn't mean I can only read my books whenever I'm my room

I can always read my books everywhere I want

but this is just the most comfortable spot for me

Some people also like to read in a coffee shop

or in a library

or someplace else. It's different for everyone

So make sure to find a good spot to begin reading so you can concentrate better and feel more comfortable

It doesn't have to be hours and hours

you can just set, for example, 15 minutes a day to read a book

You can also read at a specific time everyday

for example before going to bed or right after you go home from school

A few minutes a day may seem little

but it will eventually build up overtime and you'll be able to finish reading one book in no time

It's better than to set an impossible time to read everyday and procrastinating afterwards

and end up not reading the book at all

You can also dedicate one day a week for reading and finish the book you want to read on that day

It's a great way to disconnect from your gadgets once in a while and indulge yourself in your books

When you have a book you want to read

put it on your to be read list

and as soon as you're done reading it, mark it off your list

It will make you feel more accomplished and it's a great way to keep track on what you've read so far

I put my reading list on goodreads.com and on my bullet journal

Aside from keeping a record of my reading

I can also rate the books and write some reviews if I have the time

A book club will give you the motivation to read regularly and finish the book you're reading

It will also give you a good recommendation to read

often times a genre you've never tried reading before

Plus, it's also fun discussing the books you've read with your friends

It's a good way to socialize and keep your memories of that book fresh and intact

If you can't find any book clubs near you, try searching for one online

or just create one with your friends

I've personally never joined a bookclub myself

but I have joined a scriptures club and it definitely motivates me to read the verses everyday.

You don't always have to read paper books

You can also use kindle and audiobooks if you prefer

Audiobooks is great if you're on the go

I personally prefer reading paper books though but to each their own

If you happen to start reading a book

and a few pages later you feel uninterested in the content

then don't have to finish reading it

Remember that reading is a hobby, not a chore

unless you're reading for class then that's a whole different story

I've had a couple of books that I never finished reading because I was just not interested in the story

and that's okay

There are a lot more books you can read out there and not finishing one book is not the end of the world

It makes you smarter and it broadens your knowledge and view of the world

I know for sure that I wouldn't be the person I am today

if it weren't for all those self-enrichment books that I've read

It' s a productive way to spend the time while you're waiting for something

I used to always bring reading books to school with me

and I would read them whenever the teachers weren't able to come to class

Even now I still bring a book with me everywhere I go

so if I have to wait for someone or something

for example when I'm at the dentist

or when I'm waiting for my friend who is always late to arrive at our designated place and time

*ahem* subtle shade *ahem*

I can just read my book instead of playing with my cellphone aimlessly

So those were some of the tips I have on how to start reading regularly, I hope you guys found them helpful

If you have any other tips you'd like to add, then feel free to leave them in the comments below!

Also just a reminder, I have a second channel now and you can check it out by clicking here

or just follow the link in the description box below

And thank you very much to those of you guys who have followed me on my social medias

if you haven't and if you want to, the links are also in the description box below

Also, if you guys have any request on what video you'd like me to make next

Then please let me know in the comments as well

By the way, I remember someone asking me in the comments before on why I always bounce like this in my videos

and it's because

I film my videos on my bed, so

Every slight moment that I make

will make me bounce like this

So, that's why

Woo~

[MMD OSOMATSU-SAN] Reversible Campaign / リバーシブル・キャンペーン (Jyushimatsu, Karamatsu, Ichimatsu) - Duration: 3:04.

Using my worthless ego as a pretext,

I just want to waver between black and white

How's an unburied heart?

Isn't it throbbing?

Wait,

That's just my imagination

After having said goodbye,

Still saying "I like you" even if it's a lie

Seeing your overflowing conscience,

I cannot but wave my hands at it in the end

Here we go again

I've cried again

Pretending to be hurt

I wear my outfit on the stage

While laughing

My thoughts get confused and fight with each other

Wait, wait

That wasn't expected

The red thread is entangled, on the stage nothing but chaos

Wait, wait

That's all wrong

The love that I can't touch again

Is squeezing, getting tight

It's ok even if it's a fake LOVE

It hurts a bit though, just a bit

Depending on this self that can't be saved,

I cheerfully decorate myself with a fake smile

How are the tears of a damaged guy?

Getting anxious over ××

You're only a "regret" now,

Won't you get it at last?

Let's prepare a lottery with love and hate,

No matter what comes out, it won't reach

Here we go again

I've cried again

Sewing this intoxicated mouth

Choosing to remain silent is rather odd,

Since it will spread anyway

My thoughts get confused and fight with each other

Wait, wait

That wasn't expected

The red thread is entangled, on the stage nothing but chaos

Wait, wait

That's all wrong

The love that I can't touch again

Is squeezing, getting tight

It's ok even if it's a fake LOVE

It hurts a bit though

Just a bit

Even if my thoughts become vague and lose their colors

I will always

Picture your image in my mind

Even if the red thread becomes untied and I can't grasp it again

I will always

Sing about you

Your love is burned in me

No matter how many times I try to wash it away

It's turned me upside down

But I'm a bit happy about it

That includes two-division world champ Carl Frampton, who joins us for a round of Rapid

Fire, and IBF world featherweight champ Lee Selby, who checks in before his own title

fight that same night.

Welcome back, boxing fans!

I'm your host Jordan Hardy and this is PBC Jabs.

On January 28th PBC presents a championship doubleheader live on Showtime from the MGM

Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The co-main event will showcase WBC 135-pound champ Dejan Zlaticanin defending his title

against former two-division champ Mikey Garcia, who fights for the second time since ending

his lengthy layoff in July.

Then comes the main event, in which Carl Frampton defends his 126-pound world title in a rematch

against former three-division champ Leo Santa Cruz.

Frampton was the consensus 2016 Fighter of the Year, so we know he can box.

But a lot of us don't know much about the Northern Irishman outside the ring, so we

recently visited him at his Las Vegas-based training camp for a round of Rapid Fire.

Take a look!

—We're here with two-division world champ Carl Frampton.

Carl, you ready?

—Yep!

—Alright, let's do this.

Favorite band?

—Snow Patrol.

—Hidden talent?

—Cooking or singing.

—Favorite football team?

—Crusaders

—Favorite place to vacation?

—Portrush.

—Ok. What's one Vegas attraction you want to see or do?

—Go to the top of the Stratosphere.

—What's your favorite pint of beer?

—A pint—it's a Belgian beer called Heverlee.

—Ok, and who would play you in a movie?

—Danny DeVito.

—Who would win in a fight between you and Barry?

—Uh, a draw.

—If you weren't a boxer, what would you be doing?

—Um, I don't know.

The only other job I had was—I was a lemonade man.

You probably don't know what that—I delivered lemonade.

—Ok, and final question: Frampton-Santa Cruz will end by...?

—KO in my favor.

—Alright.

Frampton-Santa Cruz isn't the only featherweight title fight happening in Las Vegas on January 28th.

Welshman Lee Selby also will make the third defense of his IBF championship against Argentinian

Jonathan Barros that evening.

Frampton told PBC that he would welcome a unification fight against his British rival

if he defeats Santa Cruz a second time.

We recently checked in with Selby to get his thoughts on this possible matchup, as well

as his upcoming fight with Barros.

—Hi Lee, thanks for joining us!

—Thank you very much for having me.

—What do you know about your opponent, Jonathan Barros, and what type of fight are you anticipating?

—Jonathan Barros is a seasoned professional, very experienced.

He punches hard with both hands.

He's a former world champion and he's hungry and he's gonna come and try and take my title.

I expect a tough fight but a fight I'm capable of winning.

—What's it mean for you to be fighting in the Fight Capital of the World for the first

time in such a big event?

—It's like a dream to me.

It's a dream for every boxer to be fighting in Las Vegas defending a world title or challenging

for a world title, so it means the world to me and I'm gonna grab this opportunity with

both hands and take advantage of it.

—Carl Frampton has already made mention of a possible fight with you after both of

your upcoming fights.

Is that something you have your eye on as well?

—I try to keep all my focus on my next opponent but hopefully I can come through it ok and

then a showdown between me and Carl Frampton would be massive back home in the UK.

—Thank you for your time Lee, and good luck on the 28th!

The Ocean Cleanup - How We Roll - Duration: 1:34.

The plastic pollution problem has always been portrayed as something that is unsolvable.

The story has always been: ok we can't clean it up, so the best thing we can do is not make it worse.

To me that is a very uninspiring message.

He has devised the first real plan to try to clean things up.

What we're doing now has never been done before.

He wants to build the largest floating barrier ever deployed.

What I really hope is that The Ocean Cleanup in this century can be a symbol

for us using technology to actually make things better.

Are ETFs Better Than Mutual Funds? | No Dumb Questions with Nancy Graham - Duration: 4:58.

In my last "No Dumb Questions" video, I addressed a question I often hear: "Nancy,

should I buy ETFs?"

I offered some ideas to think about when you're considering how – or if – ETFs might play

a role in your investing.

I want to continue on that theme today because, in actuality, when someone asks me about ETFs,

there's sometimes a "question behind the question."

What they're often really asking is whether ETFs – a fast-growing and increasingly popular

choice these days – are better than those "old-fashioned" mutual funds.

Some investors are so enamored by ETFs that they assume, if it's a mutual fund, it's

not for them. Let's talk about that.

In this week's "No Dumb Questions," I'll go over why it can be a dangerous to

assume that all ETFs are better or worse than all mutual funds.

Just as we don't judge books by their covers, it's best to not judge a fund by its label.

So when you go shopping for a new car, what do you look for?

Whether you prefer red or white, sporty, spacious, performance. Ford, Toyota, Audi …

we all want a vehicle that will take us where we want to go, perform mostly as advertised along the

way, and be fairly priced for the value.

Same thing for your investments.

ETF or mutual fund?

For either or both, there are some essential features and functions worth insisting on

every time – as well as some "gotchas" to avoid.

As a general rule of thumb, there are some characteristics distinct to each fund type.

For example: There are restrictions governing some of the underlying practices a mutual

fund manager can and cannot do behind the scenes – such as not being allowed to extend risky

loans or load up on junk bonds.

There also are restrictions on any concentration of any stock that a mutual fund can hold.

ETFs, in contrast, could be a little more "Wild West" frankly, in terms of their construction

and their holdings.

They CAN be concentrated, they CAN be leveraged, they CAN be loaded with derivative

they can make them much more high risk.

As covered in Justin Bender's "Do It Yourself" channel, there are some worthwhile ETFs out

there that investors can turn to, and create portfolios of low-cost, broadly diversified

investments.

And because of the way mutual funds are required to distribute their internal capital gains,

ETFs may offer a more tax-friendly choice when held in your taxable accounts.

Still, overall, it's "buyer beware" out there in ETF-land.

Make sure you know the difference between a sensibly structured and managed ETF, versus

somebody's garage project waiting to explode.

Not every mutual fund deserves a gold star either.

While the new, annual CRM2 reporting requirements may help, it's important to know that

some advisors are limited in

what they can offer in the way of mutual funds - only able to sell their own brand.

This can steer you away from the true, client-best-interest advice you deserve from your advisor.

Fund management costs can often painfully high, with incentives that reward advisors

for recommending one fund over another, whether or not it's in your best interest.

Most mutual funds – and many ETFs – also pursue "active" stock- and market-chasing

trends that may appeal to popular taste, but they are more than likely to hurt than help your end returns.

The bottom line?

Whether you're looking at a mutual fund, an exchange-traded fund or any other investment

vehicle, the best way to start your due diligence is with one question: Will buying, selling

or holding this investment contribute to or detract from my smart investment strategy?

What's a smart investment strategy?

I'm glad you asked!

Check out my classic, little black dress "No Dumb Question" video on that very subject.

The big take-homes are threefold:

(1) Focus on balancing market risks and expected rewards according to your personal goals.

(Hint: This means avoiding funds that are chasing active investment strategies and

timing markets or picking stocks.)

(2) Fanatically eliminate any unnecessary costs involved.

(3) Remain true to your carefully crafted financial plan.

These are the essentials we focus on when advising clients.

Where we use funds to help us implement your strategy, we do so because the manufacturers

of these tools feel just as strongly as we do about advancing investors' best interests.

And they've structured their funds accordingly.

They don't pay sales incentives.

They won't pander to the latest hot fashions.

But they are expected to offer you what you seek from your investments: They should take

you where you want to go and be fairly priced for the value.

If they do all that, does it really matter whether they're a mutual fund or an ETF?

I hope I've convinced you that the answer is "No."

I'm Nancy Graham of PWL Capital, keeping an eye on your "No Dumb Questions."

DIY - Cute jars - Duration: 5:59.

DIY Sweet jar lids

www.wackygoose.se

Hello!

Today I thought I'd show what you can do with

this kind of old glass jars

We, in any case, gets very many of them at home, it's like

lingonberry jam and it is

pickles and it is

jalapenios and all kinds of stuff

So usually these just go in the bin

in sorting might

But!

To remove these patches that have been around, it's

actually just to put in them

tap up hot water,

pour in detergent and let them lie there for a while

Then, simply drag the patches away, because the water will loosen the glue

Anyway...

I take off the lids of these now

and so I take out my

drilling machine!

Now I just drill hole in the middle of all these

There!

If you want to be a little extraordinary

and carefully, so you can actually measure out the middle first, but

I just go on and drive on!

So!

Quickly done. Now I take these caps and so

I'll paint them

Miss Mustard Seed's Tough Coat,

Matt lacquer

There...

Now I have cut out and printed

some patches here ...

Many might think that my imagination is always on top

but, umm .......

Yes...

Here it is then;

'A jar'

'The can'

'A small jar'

and 'Glass jar'

Um, well ...

But the notes were quite nice looking

and it was actually what I was looking for

so...

These, now,

I'll just tape them on to the jars

(Jar: s)

Well, well.

Just maybe there is a little fancier way to

do this, there are certainly

finished labels to buy,

but you will get the idea anyway

So...

And it was actually the reason why I painted these caps black,

so that they would fit my patches

Now...

We come to what is the most fun

And that is...

I have little furnitureknobs here

So I put them in the lids here ...

and just screw...

proper...

And so we have super cute lids!

And I take the jar

and just put them on!

Woho!

FOREIGN FANS AT ANFIELD, A REBUTTAL BY CHRIS MORRIN - TURN SUBTITLES ON!!! - Duration: 5:10.

Hey I'm Chris Morrin, I'm a Liverpool fan based in Germany and I just wanted to say

hello to Redmen TV.

And also the international fans, and Liverpool fans, and everybody around the world as well

and to Paul and Chris.

I did a video back around 3 months ago for Redmen TV, this is my second one and I'm doing

this one because I was really, kinda, deeply touched yesterday with the post fan reactions

and all this dialogue about how things are changing in Liverpool and how the local Liverpool

fans feel compared to how the international fans feel.

It really touched me yesterday when i heard Liverpool fans talk about the idea that its

become a tourist club.

In my opinion it probably has in some respects, but you have to look at it on a larger picture.

This whole thing, Liverpool itself, was taken on a global level, as a global brand.

And this idea of corporations getting their claws into clubs or local level idea of sports

and putting it out there as a massive global brand has huge issues with itself.

And of course, I think Liverpool fans, local Liverpool fans feel completely dislocated

on some level, on some existential level, you guys are just not really feeling it as

the way it was, maybe back in the 80s when it was just like, everyone was from Liverpool,

everyone was going to the club and it was all just kinda like, work hard, endure the

week, watch the game at the end of the week.

but its changed now of course, this idea where, on a whole meta level i suppose, the whole

world, everybody's realising that change has become a part of life quite quickly.

Everything's quite rapid, and the world has got a lot smaller so of course Liverpool has

a ton of wonderful international fans including me right now.

I'm standing here, I'm from Dublin, Ireland and I'm standing in Germany, talking about

Liverpool its a bit mental.

but it also means a lot to me, i live not at home, I'm in Germany and my actual joy

in a week is to look at Liverpool play and to kinda see the passion of a team that work

hard, to try and of course, they don't always win, and the idea of losing and the idea of

not getting those trophies, even though Liverpool are trying so hard, waiting a long time to

get trophies again, sometimes its just not always about winning Sometimes it's just

not always about winning, sometimes it's about really understanding the internal reason

of why you're watching football in the first place.

Why do we watch football in the first place?

What's the point in it?

It's all about trying to feel like having fun, and feel like you're enjoying yourself

and your day.

But the big thing is, you've got to remember this idea of fans in a club and the local

Liverpool fans, the international fans that come to the actual stadium, it's probably

their duty as well to connect to the local fans, and also it's a duty for the local

fans to connect with the intention people that come to the stadium as well.

Let's face it, it is an international thing now, football, and of course the corporations

are making a shitload of money.

Probably too much at times.

I hope to Christ that the money goes into the right places, for example into the academies.

Maybe the academies can improve so much at a local level for Liverpool, and maybe the

local Liverpudlian people have to readjust how they will interact with Liverpool Football

Club even more than you ever imagined.

It's something that I like to think about and it's also something to realise that

it's not always about the anger towards the idea of a corporate system, even though

sometimes it's so devastating on so many levels.

It's kinda dehumiliating local working class people for what football is all about.

Sometimes it's hard to see tickets being so overpriced, or tickets being sold to tourists

so overpriced.

But it's all discussion, it's all something to debate about.

It's all something to realise and most importantly, in the end football is a reflection within

yourself, to try and understand your own fears and your own projections of what you might

hate at this moment in time at Liverpool Football Club.

Remember, in the end it's all about love, it's about people and it's about connection

and community.

Everybody who goes into that stadium to watch Liverpool play, including the players, and

of course Klopp is a guy that bangs on about the idea of bringing it all together.

The whole point is that everybody who goes into that stadium comes together even more.

Let's discuss it internationally and on a local level aswell.

And those mobile phones, stop taking photos of the game.

Stop doing videos and be part of the actual moments, and come together, put the phone

away and just watch the match.

Leave comments below.

Thank you very much, I'm Chris Morrin.

See you, this is Redmen TV.

The Big Data Setup of the Human Brain Project (ft. Anastasia Ailamaki) - Duration: 8:09.

The Human Brain Project for me is a Big Data management

This is Professor Anastasia Ailamaki of the IC School at EPFL

You have two sides the experimental neuroscientists

and the clinical neuroscientists And each has its specific challenges

Let's start with the experimental neuroscientists The experimental neuroscientists

including the life scientists here collect data from experiments

And here, you have a very significant part of the data that comes from simulations

Simulation data that come from computer program That emulates neurons using machines

and then model the electrical interactions among neurons

using mathematical equations and then they record what happened

based on models they have coded in order to make these neurons work together

in similar way as the human does So the experimental side of the Human Brain

Project is aiming at replicating the inner working

of our brains Evidently, the higher the details of the model

the higher the quality of the scientific result and we come in there, helping people

mitigate the effect of Big Data which they get from their very detailed model

on the response time for the questions that are either posed directly to the simulations

or posed by their visualization and analytical applications

But the human brains has hundreds of billions of neurons

and millions of billions of synaptic connections between the neurons

Representing this would require already petabytes of data

But that's not all There's also the matter of the spatial representation

of it all Representing the entirety of the brain

could be a matter of ZettaBytes!

Now, that, that is Big Data These are spatial data

Data that corresponds to items in space So the work there for us is to navigate through

space which represents the human brain

in an efficient way which both corresponds to the requirement

of the application but also to the speed requirement

of the user or the demanding system Yes.

Because if the data is poorly organized, retrieving just one piece of information from

the data could be a matter of minute, if not hours,

if not days In other words, the way the data is stored

and managed should depend on the way the data is structured

and the way the data will be used and then, we come up with indexing techniques

with query techniques with exploration techniques

which we code in vertical computational stacks and we make available to the neuroscientists

so they can work faster wow

this sounds like a huge challenge already and yet this was only the experimental side

of neuroscience Now on the other side,

we have data that come from clinical science which are real patient data

These data have a lot of information in it because they come from real cases

so, in an ideal world, we would be able to combine all these data together

along with the simulation data and retrieve very, very useful information

for how brain diseases can be addressed well that's how things would work out in an

ideal world In reality, however, this is a problem

hospitals are busy places you go and you ask the IT department

for access for patient data showing them a piece of paper from the CEO

of the hospital that allows you to do this

but the IT department isn't necessarily happy to conform to that

because they have a lot of other work to do Spending time and money to make the data available

for research is usually not in hospitals' top priority

lists But, on the other hand,

the promise for accessing these data is so high

that we go through the trouble to do it.

Yes, because quality data analysis of many hospitals' patients

could pave the way to dramatic breakthroughs to cure many brain diseases

Our team is helping medical researchers to generate biological disease signature

for diseases of the brain.

Wait.

What's a disease signature?

Biological signatures are essentially unique IDs

that identify a brain disease using the coupling of biological measurements

and clinical measurements and there can only be one signature for every

one disease for example for every subcategory of Alzheimer

In other words determining disease signatures could revolutionize

brain disease diagnostics To generate those, we need enough data

we need enough data from enough patients

from enough countries from enough hospitals

and that's what we're out to do we're out to go to hospitals

and tell the hospitals: "Look we want to do this

we want to help generate those disease signatures which will be very important for uniquely

identifying diseases and for efficiently treating them later on

but we need your help" so the hospital puts to our disposal a part

of the dataset which pertains to brain disease patient information

But then, there are privacy concerns we don't want the patients' names and diseases

to become public knowledge That's why we take the dataset

we anonymize it right there, in situ, in the hospital

no data ever leave the hospital and then we put in place our data management

system which allows to answer queries in situ

without the data leaving the hospital but then, the data from different hospitals

should be aggregated to accumulate more data

and allow for a better understanding of brain diseases

That's why we give the possibility to outside medical

researchers to pose a question

say on a website or a proxy and the website sends the question out to

our nodes we break down the question in pieces

send the relevant pieces to the hospitals and get back the results

Managing the data in this way still guarantees privacy

while allowing the extraction of crucial insights for neuroscience research

Now, this is still an ongoing endeavor We are now in the process of connecting

the first 5 hospitals that we collected data from

and those hospitals are going to be the first federated network achieving

the first step in this research target So hopefully in a few years,

insights from the data will allow for breakthroughs for neuroscience researchers

which may lead to new cure to brain diseases And when, or if,

Nobel prizes are one day awarded to the neuroscientists responsible for such

breakthroughs I hope you'll have

somewhere in your mind a thought for Professor Ailamaki and other

datascientists who paved the way to such breakthroughs

by setting up a carefully thought database management system.

What we're proposing is to establish a radically new foundation

to explore and understand the brain, its diseases and to use this knowledge to build new computing

technologies so we're going towards a more adaptive

less static, less predetermined more post-deciding direction

when building data management software.

Football Challenges w/ Manny & REEV | #CokeTVMoment - Duration: 10:13.

The world is spinning

No one can stop, me when I taste that feeling, could ever bring me down

Yo, what's going on guys? Manny here and welcome back to Coke-TV

This week I get to do what I love best and I'm taking on some head to head football challenges

You guys watch my channel and you know that these videos are always a lot of fun

I've also invited down an ex professional footballer to get involved, lets see how things go

Today guys I'm joined by my guess who is Reev, how are you doing mate?

I'm good man how are you?

I'm good

What we are doing is three different football challenges

Football is sort of my quota, my area so I feel confident, how do you feel?

Quietly confident I should say then

See, the quietly confident ones are the ones that usually win

So I'm interested to see how it goes

So lets get into it, three football challenges. may the best man win

Crossbar Challenge

The aim is to hit the crossbar from the designated spot with the ball

The person who gets the most hits wins

No pressure

That was so incredibly close

Oh my no

Not like this

I've hit a lot of crossbars before

but that one was sweet

You know what? Well done

That was sick

one, one okay lets go

That was close

you've got to be kidding me

that was on all the way

okay come one this one to win

Well played man

The pain just settled in that I lost

Challenge number one down, Reeve came out on top

The next one is Headers and Volleys

That ball is going to be crossed in and we have to score without the ball being crossed into the ground or on a half volley

Good save

On my chest

You're a decent goal keeper so I need to be careful, this is my last one

I didn't even catch it properly

I'm already the victor

Just get one

alright, that the one

It's clearly the hat

It's currently one a piece, it comes down to the final challenge

Dizzy Penalties

Spin around the ball ten times and then you have to run up straight into a shot and try and strike it past the goal keeper

Go for it

He steadied up

Yes

No. no not like this

Good luck boy

No

The world is spinning

Ah what a pen

Where are you going? Where are you going?

No! Oh my, how have you done that?

Get in

Lets go

Mate, I can't believe you tried that

That was a test and a half

I need some stability, that's why I'm hugging you

Not even a celebration hug, I need to stand up

Reev My man, you've doing very well to win that challenge

But you're not taking that bicycle kick away from me

But if you want to get serious, take things up to the next level

I know someone who can helps us do that, are you up for it though?

I am up for it

Lets do it, let's get it done

So now we've upped the level by bringing in big old Chris Kirkland

And our aim is to somehow score against him

Look at the size of him

Yeah I'm scared man

Let's get into it

So now myself and Reev are taking on Call Out Penalties

You get one chance at each part of the goal

Middle, bottom left, bottom right, top right, top left

The keeper has no idea where you're going

You tell the camera, if you don't get it in the right area you said already it doesn't count

I'm going to go bottom right just to throw him off

Alright were going to change it up we're going top left

Alright no messing around with this one, we're going down the middle

I knew you were going down the middle there

Reev just went down the middle so I'm going to go down the middle because Chris isn't expecting it and I know he's not

Good penalty

Okay I'm a penalty down, I've got to pull something out the bag so I'm going to go top right

no it doesn't count

I'm going to go bottom left

Alright two down boys, simple as, so if I don't get this one then I'm out

So I'm going to go top left because I think he's going to expect bottom

Oh no I didn't get it off again

So I've already won thanks to Reev

Chris Kirkland's in goal

We're going to be taking 5 attempts whoever scores the most wins

And you need to win this

I do need to win this otherwise I've lost

Lets do it

Oh no

Ah skewed it again

Right okay, this is mine for the taking,m manny has not scored any

Come on

Come on Manny

Not happening

What am I doing?

What are you doing? You've got to stop them

I'm a one man wall

I might come out of retirement if I caught that

Oh my lord

That is very very good

Reev congratulations on the free kick

Manny, got to say I'm disappointed I thought you had more then that

Erm me too to be fair

Now things currently stand at 1/1

We are tied

It's time for the final challenge

one on one verses the big goal keeper Chris Kirkland

Are there any tips for us to take a pass at you?

Just don't bend me in two, I'm 35 now

Not too many twist and turns please

Twist and turns so we've got that

Let's get it done

Good luck man

Thank you

Well played well played

I've gone dizzy

Ah lucky

That didn't come off quite as you planned it did it?

No it didn't

I should kick that ball and make you fetch it

I've never actually come across a goal keeper this big

Chris Kirkland is a bit of a problem we need to change it up a bit

Sorry mate, sorry

You nearly had me there

Last one, pressure on

Great foot work

Fantastic

It's my last chance If I miss Manny's won I can't not let that happen although he is much more skillful than I am

I'm a defender and that's the disclaimer but I'm going to try and score past Chris Kirkland

Oh no, his arms are huge

I've won and that is another triumph for me on Coke-TV so there we have it

Thank you Chris, thank you Reev for losing as well

I like that

Manny brilliant at the end there

I think that's more your style, one on one is a lot tricky

Very quick, a nightmare for keepers that

Reev unlucky mate

I tried, I gave it my best shot but he's a classed up player

Thank you Chris for coming down and showing us how it's done

8 Women Who Married Killers - Duration: 4:46.

Baboon TV Presents 8 Women Who Married Killers

Number One: Atkin from the Manson family, or otherwise known as Sadie Mae Glutz or Sexy

Sadie, is serving a life sentence for taking part in the Tate/LaBiance murders, and for

killing Gary Hinman when she married Donald Lee Laisure, or Lai$ure, as he prefers to

spell it, in a ceremony that took place the year 1981 at the California Institution for

Women in Frontera.

Her marriage was annulled upon her request shortly after, as she can to realize he wasn't

as rich as his claims, and had married 35 some times before that.

In 1987, she committed to a Law student at Harvard, James Whitehouse, who was 15 years

her junior.

They stayed together until her 2009 death.

Number Two: Last week, news came to show that Charles Manson, an 80 year old murderer, and

After Elaine "Star" Burton's, a 26 year old who runs social media sites, marriage license

was issued by the state of California.

This caused a significant uproar, especially amongst lonely individuals complaining about

not finding love while and old murderer managed to get engaged without leaving the confines

of Corcoran State Prison.

Number Three: Another Manson family member, Charles Denton "Tex" Watson won the race to

the alter against Atkin and Manson, when he married Kristin Joan Svege in the year of

1979 as he served a life sentence for 7 first-degree murder pertaining for seven counts to the

Tate/LaBianca murders.

Watson, who converted to Christianity in 197, was the father of four children with Svege

prior to 1996, when the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation prohibited

conjugal visits for lifers.

They divorced in 2003.

Number Four: A serial killer, rapist, and necrophile, Bundy admitted to 30 homocides,

although the count may be so much higher.

Carole Anna Boone, a mother of two previously divorced twice, was not stopped by this, however.

She dated him before his first arrest and smuggled cash to Bundy to fund the 1977 prison

escape.

She married him in a courtroom in 1980, on a February, during the penalty stage of his

Florida trial.

Boone later gave birth to a baby girl in 1982 and named Bundy the father.

Number Five: Named the "Night Stalker" by the press, Ramirez was sentenced to death

in 1989 for charges that included 13 murders, 5 attempted murders, and 11 sexual assaults.

A freelance magazine editor, Doreen Lioy, married him seven years later and began her

correspondence with him shortly after . "He's kind, he's funny, he's charming," she told

the CNN channel in 1997.

"I just believe in him completely.

In my opinion, there was far more evidence to convict O.J. Simpson, and we all know how

that turned out."

Number Six: The younger of the Menendez brothers has liked a stable married life in prison

in comparison than his older sibling.

In 1999, Erik got involved to pen pal Tammi Saccoman in a Folsom Prison waiting room.

"Our wedding cake was a Twinkie," she later said.

They're married up until today.

Six years after, Tammi published a memoir on her own called They Said We'd Never Make

It: My Life With Erik Menendez.

It became the base of the 2010 A&E documentary named Mrs. Menendez.

Number Seven: Bianchi, arrested in 1979 for taking part in the "Hillside Strangler" sex

murders that shook LA in the late '70s, convicted one of his many female admirers who contacted

him in order to give fake testimonies on his behalf during his trial.

She was later arrested and convicted for trying to suffocate or strangle a woman to make it

look as though Hillside Strangler was still the big thing in 1989 In 1989, Bianchi married

pen pal Shirlee Joyce Book, who had tried to impress Ted Bundy before moving on to Bianchi.

Number Eight: Vikernes, the black musician of influence behind the Burzum band, married

and impregnated Marie Cachet, while serving 15 years of a 21-year sentence in the Norwegian

prison for killing the Mayhem guitarist Øsytein "Euronymous" Aarseth and the arson of several

architecturally significant churches.

He's now living in France with 4 children, Vikernes and Cachet of which were arrested

in 2013 under suspicion of plotting a terrorist attack together, and he was immediately found

guilty in the French court of inciting hatred in their hearts towards the Jews and Muslims.

Life May Have Existed A Billion Years Earlier Than We Thought! - Duration: 1:55.

Hey everyone, Trace with you for a DNews Short We like to think we're special, that life

only pops up once in a planet's history.

But new research published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences says there

might have been complex life on Earth before us that eventually died off!

It might have developed in the oceans far earlier than we previously thought.

Looking for ancient life is hard because not everything gets preserved as a fossil.

In fact, according to the researchers, the probability of an organism becoming fossilized

is pretty low.

So instead of looking for direct evidence of life, they have to search for evidence

of the conditions to support life.

In this case, they looked for a form of the element selenium in sedimentary rocks over

2 billion years old.

Selenium reacts when it's exposed to oxygen, so the researchers were trying to find evidence

of this oxidation.

This would be clear sign that there had been oxygen in the air at that time.

And they found it!

Based on the selenium traces they analyzed, the researchers were able to reasonably conclude

that oxygen was present in the Earth's atmosphere between 2 and 2.4 billion years ago, which

is much earlier than our oldest recorded fossils of complex life; those are only about 1.75

billion years old.

Their research says that oxygen levels were possibly high enough to have an impact on

the planet's ecology!

After this time period though, the oxygen levels crashed, and the life, if it had evolved,

likely died off.

So the next question is, what caused global oxygen levels to drop so dramatically?

There's work to be done, but in the meantime, this type of research might help us look for

ancient life in extreme environments, like distant planets and moons!

And speaking of, what if life didn't start on Earth but actually came from space?

We talk about that idea in this video.

What else would you like to know about fossils and the history of the planet?
