Today we are in a special place, very familiar to you,
it's your recording studio, where your ideas are born.
For those, who have not yet recognized him,
we are talking about Giacomo Bisciarri.
Hello Franco, and thank for Reportnet for this interview.
You started as a DJ and you became a producer,
the first question is: How to become a producer
In the beginning, I had a bit of confusion,
because I was born as a DJ
and I heard the record that played in the charts,
on the radio and anyway I liked that the records
that I did and that I would have done
will be played on the radio and will be
in the viewfinder of the best Djs worldwide.
When I started doing the DJ at the age of 12/13,
I realized that the DJ and the producer
were two wery different things.
Beyond that today I am a little bit of it all,
and many people like me,
make ghost productions for DJs or
artist as well as DJing.
But today's DJs bring the idea
or send the idea to the producer.
So we are talking about two things that are
also fused together.
Many pretend to be DJ producers,
when in the end they are only DJs.
Producer means just making a record,
or working at the computer, creating,
implementing the idea that the audience will then hear.
Actually I know, just because we know each other,
that your works are a lot.
Now I ask you a "difficult" question,
if you remember:
What were your first works?
While I was a DJ I quit for a few years,
for a personal reason
and I started making the producer
Because I said:
I'm in the background,
but I want to keep doing this thing.
So in the end I was almost forced to switch
from being a DJ to being a producer.
Because I said:
"I can not be a DJ",
but I still want to be part of this world.
Things were going well, because the job I did,
the remixes, the bootlegs, the unofficial job,
which I gave to my colleagues
I had met, worked.
So I decided to embark on a career as a producer,
alongside that of DJ
who after a few years
I had resumed,
which I the abandoned again about six years go.
At that point I decided to make a change in my life.
The first works as a producer made
me realize that this was my path.
At the DJ level,
I enjoyed myself,
but it did not give me so much satisfaction.
I have also played at very important events and festivals.
I've been in Spain, I've been in Nameless Music Festival,
I've been to Miami, to Korea for a tour.
But the career as a producer or seeing my records
in the standing and played by DJs worldwide,
give me a lot, much more satisfaction.
Many people, still do not understand and say:
why you don't like to play
or do you like to play lass than playng records?
And I answer: Even when I played in front
of 30 or 40,000 people,
it did not give me the same satisfaction
as seeing my record in the charts,
or played by David Guetta, Tiesto, Carl Cox,
these big name.
Let's go back to the first works.
The first job by the way was very funny,
because among the first successful works,
there was a remix commissioned by Universal Australia.
And I argued with some people
from the Universal Australia sub-label;
who had commissioned this remix and did not like it.
I'm included among the remixes,
among the latest versions of the remixes
anyway and the day after my version
was in the most important compilation in the world,
which is the Ministry Of Sound.
Ministry Of Sound 2010 and Ministry Of Sound 2011.
On Itunes in 6/7 countries
as a leadind track for about 2 years,
surpassing song like Queen,
Beatles etc among the first places.
The track was "like a G6", the Far East Movement cover.
Earlier, unknowingly,
you anticipated the next question.
It is what has always existed and will always be,
for us that we are in the province,
clearly succeed and emerge is
a little more in trouble for us.
The question is this:
The satisfaction of wanting deliberately
to be in the province and wanting to
continue to remain in the province.
But in reality you want to say,
some name of some artist you worked with?
I remain in the province especially because
I am very attached to the family, to the house
and I quit my career as a DJ for this reason.
Because it is very stressful,
so many people see thier dj career as
a beautiful thing, or as an easy thing,
even on monetary level,
on the level of success.
But it also about many other people behind a DJ,
build a company,
build some kind of industry,
Because when a DJ becomes famous or prominent,
it starts to have about 40/50 people behind
and is stressful,
because you have a date in Korea,
the next day you are in New York,
the day after you're still in Italy,
the day after you're in Tokyo.
So we talk about a person does not have his spaces.
And I need my spaces very much.
I need my spaces and schedules and my spaces of mind.
So when I go to producer a record,
i'm not forced to do it in the morning,
in the afternoon,
I can do it at 4 in the morning,
as at 2 am, as at 9 pm.
Here is explained why I left my career as a DJ.
Important names with which I collaborated,
first among others a friend: Andrea Agresti
from the television show "Le Iene"
that was the one who changed the nickname
that went from "Giacomino" to "Bsharry",
which many then pronounced as "Biscerri"
written as B S H A R R Y.
It has more a French sound than English,
like the chocolate "Mon Cherie"
Beyond the French name,
here we also see a vinyl that
gave me a friend of mine.
The name Jaques Le Noir does not have a particularity,
"Jaques" precisely Giacomo,
"Le Noir" instead means "The Black",
Black does not have a reference
but only because "sounded good".
Project of major importance?
Prpject of greater importance,
as I mentioned, was the album "Like AG6
(Giacomino Remix)" that had great success
with my pseudonym of Giacomino.
Among the beautiful things,
which was told to me on by one
of my friends who had bought the
compilation of the Ministry Of Sound:
It nice to see names like Tiesto, Madonna,
David Guetta and then "Giacomino"
(it seems something that does not fit
well with everything else ahhahh).
One of the biggest satisfactions,
because we talk about a thing of the province
that then goes out of Italy,
also goes outside Europe,
and goes to cover the whole world.
And "Giacomino" that looks like a nickname a little child,
then you go to find yourself together
whit these big name.
Other successful projects that surely
everyone will know: Fly Project - Music,
hit at the European level
(also shot outside some other country outside Europe),
of which I was remixer and producer.
"The problem is that I have made many and
I do not remember everything ahahah,
I'm looking in my studio ..."
Spell by Noelia feat. Timbaland,
who I remixed and been nominated
for the Grammy Awards in 2015,
then I made the main jingle for Radio 105
for Alvin and Giuseppe.
Then I remixed six singles for Noelia,
and there will also be previews for this summer.
First record I made,
with che vocals by Monica Docci
Moka that you know,
we did it in 2010 and released in 2011,
with the first 5000 copied licensed in China.
As in all interviews that are respected,
the final question,
that for us in this case is not the final question,
and that I try to avoid is: "plans for the future?",
So i do not do it,
I ask you though: previews?
Previews ...
let's go back to the previous question ...
it will be this summer,
the Noelia - Candela album,
world hit from 1999/2000,
which will be remixed by me and by
other important remixers in Italy.
Since the production was completely entrusted to me,
I thought of doing a remix pack
with some remixers,
with producers and DJs out of Italy,
and then abroad.
Let's see who is involved and who is more
suited to the style of revisiting.
I am very happy,
because it is a track that has been danced
by everyone in the world,
and it's great to work on it.
It must not be wasted,
but it must be another masterpiece
made very well.
Also because I had seen the video,
and I also knew that Noelia is satisfied,
she was very happy with the result.
Among other things, I'm in contact every day
we keep in touch via Instagram or by mail,
a nice person, really heart.
Among other things,
this summer should also come to Italy,
let's see if we can match everything.
Giacomo ...
"who made you do it"?
This is a beautiful question ahahah
Things never turns out in life,
as a person may think,
because in middle school I had
"seriously insufficient" in music.
So I would never have thought
i was going to be a producer
or anyway something musical.
But then in '98 I got excited about music,
because I saw Gabri Ponte, the Eiffel 65,
I wanted to pursue a career as a DJ,
then I realized that the DJ for me,
was not the right one and that as
a producer was the most suitable to me,
as we say more "physique du rôle".
I decided
to try,
then I saw that the results were very good,
and from the things I did,
experimental and not were appreciated,
so from there ...
Subsequently,
there were many beautiful goals
and many beautiful goals achieved,
and today I can really be
very happy with what I have done so far.
I will not give up,
also because I'm not satisfied with anything.
We thank you for this.
Do you feel like giving advice for those
who want to start doing this job?
It seems a trivial thing,
it seems obvious.
Initially they closed so many doors in my face,
and this I think is a common factor for everyone;
it's not like I want to be a victim.
But at the end
when a person has a minimum of ideas,
a minimum of talent, and goes out;
often at the Italian level you "break yor legs"
or otherwise "try to suppress you"
because you take away ...
take away job or bring people away to ...
It's like this in every place,
you see also DJs who make war with each
other between the various clubs.
Tha things that count are:
the tenacity
and certainly the originality,
especially in the songs.
Okay thanks!
and thanks for the hospitality.
Thanks to you!
