Not Especially Special by Katie Savage | Christian Children's Book Review - Duration: 4:33.
I am always on the hunt for the next best children's book or a unique take on
a biblical story for children. I have no clue why she is grunting like that. We
just got through filming an easter video so she is playing with Easter eggs. I am always on
the hunt for an awesome or unique take on a biblical story for kids and I
recently was sent this picture book called Not Especially Special by Katy
Savage and pictures by Emily Henebrey. I absolutely love it so I
thought I would share it with you. If you're interested in taking a peek
inside this book, keep watching. If you are new, I would love for you to
subscribe to this channel and ring that little notification bell for when I
upload. I post new videos every Tuesday and Wednesday. If you have a
suggestion of what you would like to see on my channel next- if there's a book
you'd like for me to review or games you need for an event or something baby
related- let me know in the comment section down below. But let's get into
today's book review of Not Especially Special. All right guys so full
disclosure, I was sent this by the author and I'm so glad I was because I am
always on the hunt for good children's books. Having a five month old and a 10
year old I need a wide range of books.
Working with church kids, I am always in the need of books picture- books to show
them. Not Especially Special is a take on Noah's Ark story where the main
subject is this dove. If you know the biblical story of Noah's Ark,
you know that the Dove ends up finding the land in the end. This is her
little journey of trying to figure out why God made her special, which I
absolutely love. There are some unique things that...
first off, I am an art snob when it comes to books. I have to love the artwork. If I
don't love the artwork, you won't see the book on here. Just look at this!
look at the artwork! it's beautiful! Even on the back page is just
gorgeous. let me show you some other pictures. it's just so detailed. I
love it and so it has a really great story that goes along with Noah's Ark. It
harkens my favorite bible verse which is jeremiah 29:11 which says... oh my...
"For i know the plans that I have for you of good and not for evil."
that is just a verse that holds a special place in my heart. I feel
like you know this echoes that scripture verse of this dove who has a special purpose.
God created the dove for a special purpose and even though the dove doesn't
know what that purpose is, God reveals that purpose. I love that message. I
also love ... I have to show you this! The way that Noah is depicted- so a lot
of times Noah is, you know, an old white dude with a white beard that's how we
traditionally see Noah done in children's books and children's Bibles.
But look! He has accurate skin color! Accurate skin color. It doesn't show
his face but it shows his feet. Then there's another picture where it shows
his hand at the end. I don't want to ruin the story for you but it shows his hand.
I just love that it is that accurate. Now it does not have gender-neutral God
language for God for the most part it does except for one or two pages it
refers to God as he which I'm okay with because I tend to change my God language
when I'm reading stories to children. I replace pronouns. what are you doing back
here? but anyways if you would like to see a video on my take of gender or
gender neutral God language then leave in the comment
section down below. I will leave a link in the description box down below of
where you can purchase this amazing new children's book. Thanks so much for
watching today's video and I will see you in the next one. bye!

Why Some People Succeed (And Others Don't) | MOTIVATIONAL VIDEO 2018 - Duration: 10:52.
[Music]
people and situations that upset you see
there's some people that know just how
to push your button they know just what
to say but I'm not going to expend any
energy arguing with anybody life is too
short ladies and gentlemen and
unpredictable I don't want to spend my
time arguing with anybody so I bought
situations that will get me upset I
don't argue with people draw the line
ladies and gentlemen there are certain
things that we just go through life just
taking and at some point you just got to
draw the line and just say enough is
enough you got to do that with yourself
one negative stroke is 16 times more
powerful than a positive stroke and if
you have people around you who are not
sensitive to who you are and the people
that can hurt you the most ladies and
gentlemen other people that you that you
love
they're the ones that you're vulnerable
to they're the ones that can get to you
and they're fierce insensitive I don't
care who they are
see if you don't draw the line with
people if you just let them run rampant
in your life and you let things happen
to you that you don't feel good about if
you continue to allow it to happen you
won't feel good about yourself your
image of yourself will erode so you've
got to draw the line a lot of people
just go to a job where they're miserable
day in and day out why do people stay
together and they're miserable sleeping
in separate rooms arguing are the only
thing they have in common paying the
bills don't talk don't communicate don't
share anything together day in and day
out is short and unpredictable that life
is being mean to each other what do
people do that known Hills are
preferable to strange heavens because
it's familiar see life is rough ladies
and gentlemen it's rough and it's scary
it's scary growing it's scary taking a
chance it's scary acting on your
intuition on your guts it's scary it's
frightening there are people that just
tolerating things right now and they're
immobilized by fear they can see the
hammer coming and they afraid to even
move because it's scary
to go against the dominant thinking of
your family friends and those people you
associate with every day is perhaps the
most difficult act of courage you will
ever perform see when you start growing
when you start changing the way you walk
the way you talk the way you act the way
you respond to things the way you use
your time when you start saying no I
can't do that why you're too busy you
don't have the time to I have my
own agenda so if people can put you on a
guilt trip they will and use you and
abused you over and over and over again
you got to draw the line you have to
draw the line on it don't go through
life feeling like you're powerless
victims of people that are powerless
you're not powerless you are powerful
you direct the power in your life
whatever your life is right now it is a
duplication of your consciousness is
result of how you have decided to use
your power that's all it is that's not
who you are that's just a perverted use
of your power that you aren't satisfied
with and you've got the power to change
that wherever you are huh I don't know
but I know you've got the power to do
that but you don't know what has
happened to me it really doesn't matter
what has happened to you
see the only thing that really matters
is what are you going to do about it
that's all that matters that's all that
matters
you can allow it to destroy you or you
can allow it to bill you up we never get
to a level where we feel that there's
nothing else for us to do that we've
achieved certain number of goals and we
figure that we're through no no you
don't want to stay there and celebrate
too long like a lot of people do they do
something they consider outstanding they
go around talking about what they used
to do see let me tell you I used to do
this and I used to do that excuse me
used to bees don't make no honey what
are you doing now you're still here
breathing that means you've got some
more to give no matter how old you are
doesn't matter about where you are
doesn't matter about what you have
doesn't matter about what you've done
life is about growing it's about being
productive it's about stretching it's
about challenging yourself so you start
looking around and decide hey hey what
else do I want to do what got me here is
a time for celebration but also a time
for reflection what got me here what
worked what did not work what do I need
to do to repeat so that I can get the
same kind of results in other areas of
my life if the goal is to improve my
health if the goal is to improve my
relationship if the goal is to improve
my income if the goal is to improve
something in
society what is it I need to do now
don't get confused with what you do with
who you are don't trip don't go on some
type of ego trip I like talking about
how bad you are none of us do anything
by ourselves develop an appreciation for
external support as well as good fortune
because all of those things play a role
the other thing is don't go overboard
celebrate you must meet with triumph and
disaster and treat those two Impostors
just the same you look at hey I did it I
feel good about that now you're moving
on to the next thing
things did not work out the way you
wanted them to work out you didn't
produce the results you wanted to
produce hey miss that win some you lose
some
next moving right on don't confuse who
you are with what you do and make your
mind fertile ground for the seeds of
opportunity think if you want to
experience a sense of fulfillment you've
got to have an open mind so that ideas
can come in there and take root and grow
so part of beginning to have fertile
ground you know you got to break that
ground up you got to break up that hard
crust because if you don't seem to fall
there and the wind can blow them away
the winds of doubt when you're set in
your mind and you refuse to grow and
you're not open to new ideas new methods
new ways of doing things if your mind is
already fixed
you become stagnant you can't grow you
can't have a sense of fulfillment you
become extremely cynical and negative
about everything you know it all so you
want to begin to look at life and have a
sense of curiosity not know it all you
want to keep learning keep growing
realize that we had a theme you never
find out how much you know until you
find out how little you know and there
are some people you can't tell anything
they have all the answers or I've
already done that so many of us count
ourselves out of things prematurely you
don't know
the possibilities are up in there so you
want to be open you want to continue to
learn you want to continue to grow you
want to begin to know that their
unlimited ideas out here waiting for you
to light you on to them and if you don't
take advantage of them when they come
your way because you're so closed-minded
do understand somebody else will
we've all had ideas that we did not act
on and looked around and somebody else
had the idea and going with it so be
open and receptive become involved in
life live your fantasy most people go
through life not living their fantasy
going sitting up in the bleachers
looking out on the field looking out
into the arena wishing that they were
down there just fantasizing seeing
themselves running with the ball decide
to live your fantasy see in life you can
go through life you can come up with
reasons or you can come up with results
you can come up with excuses or you can
come up with achievements you can go
through life blaming or you can come up
with solutions the choice is in your
hands satisfaction or despair we can
choose that so look at your life and
decide what it is that you want to do
that will give you a life a sense of
Worth someone said yet your life worth
is measured by your accomplishments and
not by your complaints want to have a
fulfilling life decide not to make your
life predictable so some people their
lives very predictable they got a little
routine they do that and they follow
that day in and day out day in and day
out you don't get much juice and
happiness out of life like that if you
are predictable you want to change it up
variety most certainly is the spice of
life here's something else one it
created greater sense of fulfillment
challenge your fears challenge them look
those fears in the face and take them on
don't allow them to rule you decide that
you're going to take some chances you've
got to be willing to risk if you're not
willing to risk you can't grow in life
life has no power when you're not
willing to risk it's that to laugh is to
risk appearing the fool to weep is to
risk appearing sentimental so reach out
for another is
risk involvement to expose feelings is
to risk exposing your true self to place
your ideas your dreams before crowd is
to risk their loss to love is to risk
not being loved in return to live is to
risk dying to hope is to risk despair to
trys to risk failure but risk must be
taken because the greatest hazard in
life is to risk nothing the person who
risks nothing does nothing has nothing
is nothing they may avoid suffering in
sorrow but they cannot learn feel change
grow love and live chained by their

Then a lot of things that we want to do a lot of places we would like to go a
lot of things we would like to experience and we just stop at but and
we build a case in fact I was reading something the other day that talked
about but it says but is an argument for our limitations and when we argue for
our limitations we get to keep them see blood will cost you to procrastinate but
will cause you to hide out behind fear what will cause you to come up with all
type of excuses that you can validate you're in action and not acting on your
dream and right now more than ever people need to look for ways to live
their dream people need to look for ways to make it on their own there is no such
thing as job security there's no such thing as a storm proof or tragic proof
life there's no guarantees today ladies and gentlemen the illusion is gone there
was a time when when we graduated from high school you're told go to college
and get out and you go and work for corporation for 30 or 40 years and give
your goal watching you'll retire special announcement that day is gone that day
is gone never to return again so instead of people living in fear feeling
stressed out feeling powerless feeling like victims I think it should be a time
that we need to begin to look at ways that we can become an active force in
our own lives look at ways when we can decide to take charge of our own destiny
look at ways when we can decide to design a life of substance and begin to
truly live our dreams and it's time for people decide I'm ready to get on with
my life shake somebody's head on your writing off a guy named Bob Mays say
they say don't let nobody turn your rock do that right quick
now you're not a lot of people say I'm going to live my life one day when
things get right when I get all my bills paid when I get my feet on the ground I
say what have you been walking on see there no problem three moments guy named
dimples had a record one time called if it ain't one thing it's another and I
say if it ain't one thing is twelve others always something there
debilitates and why you can't move on why you can't grow to the next level why
you can't begin to manifest your greatness why you can't begin to live
life on your terms always something there to block you to keep you where you
are and keep you from beginning to develop your true greatness always some
fear how do we handle it and I'm saying that if you've been hiding out behind
but if you've been using the fact that you don't have enough money or you don't
have the education take it head-on don't get the education I'm saying to a guy
the other day who was saying he I said Hubble die use is 47 years old I said
your sister tell me that you can't read he said that's right I said why well you
know I I didn't go to school excuse my old are you 47 47 yes and you can't read
or write yes have you ever heard of adults cool adult education have you
decided that you should learn how to read to begin to expand your world why
are you using that as a racket why don't you decide now that you can expand your
world that if other people can learn you could learn too well it's hard for me
how do you have you been and sit in a class yet have you signed up yet no I
haven't see a lot of people say no ladies and gentlemen two things and they
don't even know what they're saying no to ever even challenge himself he hasn't
even gone to sit into a class and say teach me how to read and stand it's been
easier for him to go through life he thinks
trying to play a whole con game pretending he knows how to do something
that he doesn't know how to do and you know what most of us go through life
like that most of us go through life pretending pretending that we're
satisfied where we are pretending that everything is okay
pretending that that we don't have any special goals or ambitions or desires
when really deep down inside we do really want more but if you look at our
behavior if you judge based upon what we do I really will tell you some true
stories of our people because you have to judge the tree by the fruit it bears
not the fruit that it talks about say a lot of people pretend that they want
more of life but all you have to do is watch their actions that will tell you
something so I used to pretend that I want to lose weight but how could you
tell I was pretending watch me when I have a piece of sweet potato pie walking
distance of some peanuts some potato chips say I was pretending that I really
wanted to lose weight no you didn't watch what I eat that tell you what I'm
seriously committed to people tell you all year one day I want to have a
restaurant see they're pretending they want to go into business for themselves
how can you tell less watch their actions watch what they're doing the
proof is in the pudding so if you want to do something if you've thought about
something you want to do take it head on decide that you're going to start
looking at it start doing research on and start tackling it start becoming
involved in whatever and wherever it might lead you to begin to explore the
possibilities in that particular thing that you're seeking so that you can
begin to learn all you can about it decide that you're going to face it that
whatever shortcomings you have that you're going to step in yourself there
whatever training is required that you're going to go get that training
that you're going to get started right now the George Washington Carver which
they do what you can where you are with what you have and never be satisfied yes
be fully used to say it I heard Jo Dudley talk about always trying to be
more than that which yeah I don't get satisfied with yourself
always know that wherever you are you can enjoy more that you deserve more but
most people you know what they do most people go through life quietly and
safely tiptoe in turn early great find out what it is you want and go after it
as if your life depends on it why because it does people that have
found their passion people that found the things that they love people that
have found the things that they can pour their lives into those people live
longer I was in New York and I had to do a seminar at a special church and a guy
by the name of Reverend Johnny Youngblood and I said how is it that you
were able to build this big housing facility and got all of the various
community and religious groups together to to have this dwelling for 2,000
residents that were were once homeless how were you able to take on this
responsibility wasn't it overwhelming he said the kind of work I do he said it's
in me I've got to live what's in me and I think that's everybody's desiring life
you got to live what's in you life is just too short and unpredictable but
toward Earth what are we saved but but there always be tomorrow oh no there's
no guarantees you're gonna show up tomorrow a lot of people who were here
yesterday that they're not here today there are a lot of opportunities that
were around yesterday they're not here today oh you can wait but you don't ever
have Lincoln said well the things might come to those are to who wait but all of
the things that have been left over by those who hustle so we want to go
through life picking up leftovers you deserve much more than that the
leftovers that somebody has left you so take it head on begin to explore here's
something else decide to do it now decide whatever you want to do that you
are now going to become actively involved right now exploring the
possibilities for you that you're going to look at it and do just a little bit
of it right now when I decided to become a speaker I didn't just quit my job
and just ran out and say I'm a motivational speaker now what I did was
I decided to start looking at other people there were involved in the
speaking profession I volunteered to work with some speakers so that I could
learn whatever you wanted to get your feet wet gain some experience doing some
volunteer work in the area and find out whether or not this thing you want to do
will fit for you friend of mine told me he wanted to have a restaurant and say
have you ever operated restaurant before he said no I said we're really you don't
even know if you want one I said what's your expertise what do you bring to the
table he said I can cook real good I said well what about the management side
what about the business part of the restaurant you're not gonna be cooking
all the time somebody's got to receive the money
who's gonna manage the personality said you got all right you got a point there
so this guy got a job in a restaurant in the evening time on a part-time basis
after doing that for a while he said you know what I think I just want to be a
chef he said after working there people that show up the working is as hard to
find to help people work responsible they headaches the guests what gives
giving him problems day in and day out they weren't ever satisfied he said no I
just think I'll stick to cooking see you gotta find out what fits for you because
you might decide after you go up in there and examine it experience it and
get some experience at the about wonder well you say this is really not what I
want this does not fit for me so decide that you're going to do that now Johnny
Johnson said something that's very important he said there's no defense
against an excellence that meets a pressing public need see whatever you
decide to do look at it and find out what is it that I have that I could
bring to the table that can begin to enable me to ensure that I could be
successful in this where is the opening for you there's room for you out here
out here in the arena called life there's room for you to come out and
live your dream don't allow but to keep you in the corner or keep you up in the
bleachers looking at life being a spectator not being a participant making
a difference in life I believe that all of us came here with something all of us
showed up to give something and that nobody but nobody's going to give that
service that you have together no one's going to produce your product
no one's going to write your book no one's going to open your academy no
one's going to begin to create your daycare with a special curriculum to
help to cultivate the high self esteem and our children that's your idea and if
you don't bring your ID out here when you die all of us will suffer because
we've been deprived of your genius because you allowed but to keep you in
the bleachers of not pursuing your greatness you take it to your grave with
you and that's what most people do think that's why the guy said that many people
die at age 21 and don't get buried until they're 65 they're Walking Dead you can
tell him by the way they walk
how'd it look in the face when they speak to you I was giving a speech of
this high school and a lady came after school she said mr. Brown I want to talk
to you about my son I said what is it she said he's not motivated I said I
wonder why you gotta have energy ladies and gentlemen you've got to have life if
you excited about what you're doing even in the area of selling you know people
don't buy because of logical reasoning people buy because of your way of
feeling people are like the viewer out there people know the dead bury the dead
no no keep him away from before they grab you what a hold on to use up some
of the fact that that whatever you do you want to be excited about you want to
have the kind of excitement that is so contagious that people want to be around
you because whatever you're doing whatever you talk to people about this
particular idea that you have they're looking at you and they want to know do
you believe it and are you the kind of person they want to be in business with
and if you're not positive if you're not energetic if you're not fired up about
it how can you expect anybody else to be fired up about your idea I'm alright
alright Pete ups me please I'm gonna be fired up about my dream
I'm gonna go at it with everything I got shake somebody's hand on your right and
left and say you got what it takes there are a lot of people who say but I
tried once or twice and it didn't work out and so they use that as an excuse
not to ever come out again guy said if at first you don't succeed you're
running about average so so so if you have come out here with an idea and it
did work out two and three times well that's all right you're running about
average you know I heard something a jarring question it says why is it that
people prefer known hell's to unknown heavens you know why because it's
comfortable ladies and gentlemen I remember I was in a service once and I
heard dr. Johnny Coleman give this example she talked about a man who had
been captured behind the enemy lines in a war and was sentenced to to be killed
or another option the captain said to the guy listen he said tomorrow morning
at six o'clock you can face the firing squad or you can go out this door over
here and the guy said what's off the door he said no one knows all we can
tell you just unknown horrors he thought and the next morning he selected the
firing squad after the shots rang out the captain's secretary said what's
beyond that door and he said freedom but very few people would select to do it
because it's unknown see a lot of people never live their dreams a lot of people
never do the things they want to do a lot of people stay on jobs where they're
miserable I read an article call is your job making you sick a lot of people
y'all know about that already here they're going to say Amen it's alright
then one lady told me she said less when I used to go to work she said when I
stepped in the door felt like a refrigerator dropped on my shoulders how
many all understand that kind of feeling they were miserable just hated to go
after 60 minutes on Sunday afternoon or come Monday morning my head just to
thrive I just couldn't take it didn't wanna go sometimes just just for the
heck of I just drive on by I used to hate to go to work many of us choose an
active living death many of us are Walking Dead The Walking Dead that we're
not doing what we want to do many of us stay in relationships where we're dying
together rather than growing and expanding and living together we're
miserable but because we don't have the courage to see ourselves beyond that
relationship that has turned toxic we go through life living dead people and then
you can always tell couples that have been together for a little while born a
restaurant the one sitting side by side giggling and talking to each other
feed each other with their fuckin food they just got together for what we you
see them in the car they sitting all of each other hugging his smug or they've
been together about three days all right but if you see people to the restaurant
to you know see a couple and that's sitting in front of each other take so
long for this food I wonder when they go hurry up
those are Mary was four years living in two separate rooms sleeping in two
separate beds well it's cheaper to keep it not necessarily it's a quarter to the
price you want to pay see the price of peace of mind the price of living the
truth of being honest with yourself in that wait a minute it's got to be more
than this so you've got to decide wait wait even if I I think don't work out
even if I experienced defeat a failure that does not make me a failure it's the
difference between failing and being a failure if you if things don't work out
if you don't produce the results you want that's all but don't confuse who
you are with the results that you produce I used to be a state legislator
in Columbus Ohio and I remember once I was going to introduce some legislation
on the floor and after getting that legislation passed a guy came up behind
me and he had some legislation that I opposed him on that and I was about to
stand up to debate this guy and got next to me said skew don't don't debate that
guy why do you know who that is I said no it's will Koski from Toledo it's a
bad dude he's a lawyer unless a man can debate I don't kill him Les Brown maybe
Browns but I raise my hand mr. speaker you said the gentleman from the 29th
House District so yes serves to tell the gentleman I like to take him on
challenge him on this legislation he said well cause he said I would more
than like to mr. speaker everybody say
I asked him some questions he responded I say I wonder why is that man that
question well cos he won't be out I mean I was up there and I just lifted back to
my room with my yes I get out up top however here's what I learned when you
win see you if I win a debate I win because of what I know when I lose I
lose because what I don't know so I had to check out what is it that I did not
know I wasn't prepared I did not do enough research I did not do my homework
so he handled me like he wanted to so I came back again I waited on some other
legislation did my homework but he was more than able to take me out again but
pretty soon each time it would take him it would become a little bit more
difficult and a little bit more difficult and the older guy say would
you argue in behalf of of this legislation for me I said sure I started
volunteering to do work in the legislative committees for the older
guys I said absolutely and the more I did it the better I became and then
people began to start respecting me and when I would ask her said Mr Speaker I
like to speak on that bill so guys let's start wriggling and stuff like Jimmy

Trump Doubles Down on Sheriff's Cowardice: "I'd Run in There Even If I Didn't Have a Weapon" - Duration: 4:34.
Trump Doubles Down on Sheriff's Cowardice: "I'd Run in There Even If I Didn't Have
a Weapon" Scot Peterson, the Marjory Stoneman Douglas
high school resource officer who hid behind a stairwell as gunman Nickolas Cruz committed
a massacre inside the school, has been lambasted for his extreme cowardice and failure to fulfill
his sworn duty to protect the school's students.
And rightly so.
While the left has used this shooting as an opportunity to blast the NRA and call for
more gun control, conservatives have rightly pointed to the inaction by law enforcement
— rather than the inanimate guns — which were used by Cruz as a force for evil, but
should have been employed by Peterson to save lives.
As reported by the Miami Herald, "Peterson — named school resource officer of the year
for Parkland in 2014 — was in another building, dealing with a student issue when the shots
sounded.
Armed with his sidearm, Peterson ran to the west side of Building 12 and set up in a defensive
position, then did nothing for four minutes until the gunfire stopped."President Donald
Trump called the handling of the situation by the sheriff's office "disgusting,"
as there were reportedly at least three additional officers from the Broward County Sheriff's
department who failed to go inside the school as gunshots rang out, CNN reported.
Trump called out now-resigned sheriff deputy Scot Peterson in particular.
He slammed Peterson for hiding while children died, calling him a "coward" who "certainly
did a poor job."On Monday, the president criticized Peterson further, suggesting that
he personally would've had the courage to go into the school — even without a gun,
CNBC reported.
"I really believe I'd run in there even if I didn't have a weapon.
And I think most of the people in this room would have done that too," Trump said during
a meeting of U.S. governors at the White House.Trump isn't the only one who expressed disgust
at the failure of Peterson and the other officers.
Former Tucson, Arizona police officer Brandon Tatum said he believes the horrible behavior
of the officers stems from a problem in the leadership at the sheriff's department."I
don't understand how any police officer in any department would not risk their lives
in a situation like this — you have an active shooter, you have kids screaming, getting
mowed down," Tatum told Conservative Tribune.
He continued, "Since I joined the police academy, I never imagined a police officer
would cower.
It starts from leadership — the sheriff is the problem.
When you have multiple officers cowering, you obviously have a leadership problem.
One officer is a coward, four officers is a culture."Tatum clearly isn't alone in
that sentiment.
There is now a push for Sheriff Scott Israel, who heads the department, to resign.
So far, he's refused.Multiple Stoneman Douglas student survivors have also come out against
Peterson.
"It's absolutely disgusting.
He knew his job.
He knew what he had to do," student Ariana Klein told Fox News Channel's Neil Cavuto.
"Their needs to be accountability and right now there is none.
It's despicable, it should never happen."Another student witnessed Peterson's cowardice first
hand.
"He was pointing his gun at nothing," Brandon Huff explained.
"You're despicable," he continued, directing his comments at Peterson.
"You didn't do your job.
You were trained for this.
You were armed.
You had a bulletproof vest.
You did nothing.
You froze.
You got scared.
You did nothing at all, and you could've saved a lot of lives."Almost every day since
the massacre at Stoneman Douglas high school, new revelations have come out regarding the
failure of law enforcement at almost every level – federal, state and local – not
only to prevent this horrific killing, but to stop the killer in his tracks once he entered
the school.
We need to hold the real culprits accountable, and stop the chipping away of the constitutional
rights of law abiding Americans – who were and are in no way responsible for what happened
on that tragic day.

Embarrassing Things That Happened On Live TV - Duration: 5:51.
There was a time when embarrassing mishaps on live TV had a relatively short shelf life.
But in today's terminally streaming world, these moments have achieved immortality, destined
to be shared until the end of time.
Sit back and embrace the awkwardness that has been bestowed on our TV screens over the
years.
War on weather
If you ask weatherwoman Teresa Mannion about Ireland's unpredictable weather, you'll be
primed and ready to stare right into the cruel eye of the apocalypse itself.
"Don't make unnecessary journeys!
Don't take risks on treacherous roads!
And don't swim in the sea!"
As Storm Desmond raged along Ireland's West coast in 2015, Mannion was in the trenches,
soaked to within an inch of her life, but ready for battle.
"Incredibly, people have been spotted in the water!
… Their actions are idiotic!"
She became a viral sensation almost instantly.
Obligatory dance remixes and countless other parodies were created mere hours after it
aired.
[Set to electronic music] "Don't make unnecessary journeys/don't take risks on treacherous roads"
"Don't make unnecessary journeys!
Don't take risks on treacherous roads!
And don't swim in the sea!"
Mannion was a good sport, admitting on Australia's The Morning Show that she loved the laughter
and creativity it inspired — and that ultimately, it was a message of safety being spread around
the world.
"Both today and yesterday…"
[Laughter]
The Mal Award
Former Australian Rugby League star Mal Meninga was not the most suitable contender for the
Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly elections in 2001, something pointed out by
...Mal Meninga.
During a televised interview with ABC Radio, Meninga, well, abandoned his political aspirations.
"I'm just a person out there, makin' sure that I was, um…
I'm b-------.
I'm sorry."
He instantly resigned, marking the shortest political career on record.
Satirical comedy group The Chaser started nominating politicians for the "Mal Award"
as part of its election coverage, intended to honor the greatest acts of political self-sabotage.
Nosedive
It's hard to know exactly what was supposed to happen during a Fox 5 News segment covering
the San Diego Yacht and Boat Show, but whatever it was, this was better.
"Here at the San Diego Yacht and Boat Show, good morning everybody.
I'm hanging out with my friend John.
Fox Five morning news starts- look over there."
"And it starts right now!"
What followed in the studio was just as good.
"...is your Fox 5 News."
[Laughter]
And then the re-emerged and undeterred "John" commandeered his mighty transport over the
pier like a wetsuited angel.
What a time to be alive.
Table trouble
You're never too old to act like a brat on live TV, as these two elderly Jordanian journalists
ably demonstrated on the talk show Seven Stars in 2014.
The two men got into a heated discussion about the civil war in Syria, and things got a little
out of hand.
[Yelling, arguing]
Stay classy!
Third one
According to the New York Times, Rick Perry's presidential bid was already on life support,
but when he took to the stage for this Republican presidential debate in 2011, he basically
took that bid and tossed it off a cliff.
"It's three agencies of government, when I get there, that are gone!
Commerce, education, and the um, what's the third one there, let's see."
What follows is the slow, excruciating disappearance of a man's presidential hopes and dreams by
his own hand.
"Uh, the, uh… commerce.
And let's see, I can't, the third one, I can't.
Sorry."
It's like that song title you just can't put your finger on, but with considerably higher
stakes involved.
"Oops."
Dropping the ball
Few performers have entertained a live audience quite as large as when Mariah Carey stumbled
and fumbled her way through disastrous renditions of "Emotions" and "We Belong Together" on
New Year's Eve 2016.
[Music] "Put these monitors on please."
It's hard to know what exactly went wrong on the night, or just how many people were
fired because of it, but Carey was having none of it.
"Whatever!
That was…"
As reported by the New York Times, her managers blamed the event organizers, the organizers
claimed everything was working fine on their end, and Carey herself just blamed everybody.
"We didn't have a soundtrack for this New Year's baby.
It's okay, you guys...and girls.
It just don't get any better."
Emotional support paper
BBC newsreader Simon McCoy is no stranger to live TV mishaps.
But he's probably best known for inexplicably holding a large ream of paper during a report
in 2013, and he can't seem to live that down.
"Problem drinking is on the increase, and action is needed to deal with it."
According to a BBC spokesperson at the time, McCoy had meant to pick up his tablet, but
accidentally grabbed the ream of paper instead ...and just decided to roll with it.
The incident was puzzling enough to tickle viewers around the world for years afterward,
prompting McCoy to tweet in 2017:
"IT WAS FOUR YEARS AGO, PEOPLE!
FOUR YEARS!!!!
MOVE ON.
I AM TRYING TO."
Here's to many more mishaps in the future.
"Sports news, over at the BBC…
I've just dropped something."
"What was that?"
"It's alright" "Oh, and again!"
"Well, that's good, sport!"
"It's not salvageable.

SICK STOIC CONCERT - Duration: 4:26.
[Insert title here]
MONDAY
Well, in the time it took to just have my shower, it's rained.
Life's like that so much sometimes.
There's bad weather, but I don't notice it, or it doesn't affect me because it happens
outside of my cycling commuting times.
Anyway, the wife was sick every day last week, including her birthday yesterday.
So, of course... sigh.
Sigh... didn't so much spill coffee on myself but have it dribble out from the sipper lib
- Lid.
Lib?
Lid - without me realizing.
#MONDAY
Looks pretty good, I don't think anyone will, ah, notice.
Kind of looks like a bat.
What do you guys see?
[Gargling.
Kkkahhhkk-kkrft.
Horse noise.]
Some medicine.
[Horse noise.]
For the sore throat.
TUESDAY
It's the Daily Stoic by Ryan Holiday.
It's one of my favourite books... is it?
I read it every day.
Just a chapter a day, you don't want to ... I got this book once and, um, it's not really
something you can read end-to-end in one go.
It's designed as a, you read a chapter a day.
It's a daily meditation.
Which is really awesome.
Stoicism.
Um, interesting fact for those of you who might have heard of Beme, um, Ryan Holiday
was on Beme.
He used to post little stuff of his, um, his farm and his farm life.
[CHINESE] Dui!
[Correct ding!]
Shang!
Duolingo, um, waited years and years of downloading this app and deleting because they didn't
have Chinese.
And they have it now.
Um... ahhh... it's useful at the moment for forcing me to do a little bit each day.
They've game-ified the hell of it, but...
[Correct ding!]
I've been trying to learn Chinese for a long time.
I go through bursts where I do get into it...
Hey! ...and then I'll go along to a community event
and um just realise how lacking I am because I don't use it every day, so guess this is
helping.
Jin!
[Correct ding!]
[WEDNESDAY]
It's a bit windy today.
But at least the sun's out.
Fffrrhhaggghhh.
Been sent home a little early.
My um team and boss have gotten sick of me being sick around them.
(Precious Pup laugh).
So not only am I under the weather, but I'm in the weather.
It's in my face, this headwind.
It's hard cycling in the wind at the healthiest of times.
Still going to the Bruno Mars concert, though.
What's- what's your YouTube?
What's your channel?
"It's not a YouTube channel."
Ahhh, OK.
"Bruno Mars here."
That'd be an awesome channel.
(Commenting on the fact they use handheld scanners)
I miss the days when they used to pat your down.
"You make me feel like/ I've been locked out of heaven..."

ONE MAN WHO 'CHANNELS' EXTRATERRESTRIALS TELLS US WHY THEY'RE - Duration: 8:05.
ONE MAN WHO CHANNELS EXTRATERRESTRIALS TELLS US WHY THEYRE HERE
BY ARJUN WALIA
Probably one of the most popular subjects of our time, UFOs and extraterrestrials continue
to top internet search engines every single year.
Its no secret that people are very interested in the topic, and perhaps thats what prompted
the Pentagon to declassify some UFO footage recently.
Multiple insiders and ex high ranking, defence personnel have shared their belief that these
objects are indeed extraterrestrial in origin, or at least some of them.
Many of them believe, as former NASA astronaut and Princeton Physics Professor Dr. Brian
Oleary once said, there is abundant evidence that we are being contacted. There
are a lot of credible witness testimonies as well, so much so that entertaining even
a fraction of it is quite overwhelming.
Not only do we have witness testimonies, we have actual electro-optical data, and millions
of pages of previously classified documents from dozens of governments, military and intelligence
agencies, detailing unbelievable encounters.
To read our archived articles on the subject, you can click here.
Talking about UFOs and the extraterrestrial hypothesis is no longer taboo.
It used to be brushed under the rug and people would tell you to grab your tinfoil hat, but
they cant really do that anymore, so now, its time to take it to the next level and
start asking some deeper questions, like, if they are extraterrestrial, what are they
doing here?
How long have they been here?
What are their intentions?
As you can imagine, there are hundreds of questions to ask as this topic really does
open up pandoras box, and to be honest, there are probably trillions of different
species out there.
When it comes to interacting with these objects, and those who are supposedly behind the
wheel, if one examines the lore, there have been countless amounts of people who
have claimed to receive messages, or be in communication with extraterrestrials.
This usually comes in the form of telepathic correspondence, be it from unknown objects
themselves or an actual face to face encounter with a being.
Yes, its both literally, physically happening to a degree; and its also some
kind of psychological, spiritual experience occurring and originating perhaps in another
dimension.
And so the phenomenon stretches us, or it asks us to stretch to open to realities that
are not simply the literal physical world, but to extend to the possibility that there
are other unseen realities from which our consciousness, our, if you will, learning
processes over the past several hundred years have closed us off. (source) John Mack,
A Harvard professor, psychiatrist and Pulitzer Price recipient
Whats interesting about the information thats supposedly being relayed from ET
to contactee, is that a lot of it corresponds with other people who claim to be having the
experience, and its something that seems to have been happening for a very long time.
One of these people, who is now deceased, is Dr. George King, an ordinary citizen who
was contacted by an extraterrestrial intelligence in 1954, known to him as Aetherius,
whom he said was a highly evolved extraterrestrial from Mars, and part of an alliance of several
intelligences from other planets.
He is a great example, and one thats attracted my attention for several reasons.
One is the fact that, the messages he receives corroborate with the messages many others
have been claiming to receive, for years, all over the world.
Another reason is because of his specific comments about nuclear weapons.
In a live television broadcast with the BBC, Dr. King explained how these objects, some
of them at least, are piloted by extraterrestrial beings, and that many of them are actually
interplanetary.
In that interview, he emphasized how they are very concerned about our use of nuclear
weapons.
Why is this interesting and intriguing?
Because fast forward to today, and the connection between UFOs (UFOs doesnt always mean extraterrestrial)
and nuclear weapons is very strong, as emphasized by many of the hundreds of people from within
who have come forward to share their experiences.
For example, Colonel Ross Dedrickson, a high ranking officer in the Air Force who held
special positions at various points in his career dealing with nuclear weapons, the atomic
energy commission, and nuclear weapons storage facilities provided video testimony prior
to his passing, revealing that extraterrestrials have been around for a long time, and that
they do not approve of our nuclear activities.
He also revealed that extraterrestrials have shut down nuclear weapons in flight as well
as our attempts to detonate and experiment with them, and hes not the only one to
do so.
You can watch that interview here.
Out of all the millions of documents thatve now been released, mentioned above, many of
them detail multiple encounters at global nuclear weapons facilities, and nuclear weapon
storage facilities.
You can see and read about more examples of this in article that goes more in-depth on
that particular topic, below:
The Very Strong Connection Between UFOs & Nuclear Weapons Storage Facilities
Dr. Kings main message is that some of these beings are very concerned about our
planet, and he always made sure to emphasize the idea that the planet is more important
than we (humans) are, that she (Mother Earth) is currently exercising great patience with
us.
Secondly, the Aetherius Society brings to light the spiritual implications of extraterrestrial
contact, something thats rarely mentioned in the field.
The spiritual connection, having been a researcher in this field for a very long time, to me,
seems to be more than just a mere interpretation, but an actual reality.
There is something bigger going on here, and it has to do with our consciousness, and the
recognition of the non-material world.
There is more than enough data and evidence for the scientifically inclined mind here
on Earth, if thats their measure of truth, to make that connection.
I love using this quote to get this point across.
Despite the unrivaled empirical success of quantum theory, the very suggestion that
it may be literally true as a description of nature is still greeted with cynicism,
incomprehension and even anger.
(T. Folger, Quantum Shmantum; Discover 22:37-43, 2001)
Below is a great article that goes into detail about non-material science, a field
thats gaining support from hundreds of renowned scientists around the world:
Distinguished Scientists Gather To Emphasize That Matter Is Not The Only Reality
I could go on and on, but I wont, Ill let you listen to a recent podcast I did with
CE founder, Joe Martino, and Richard Lawrence.
He is the Executive Secretary of The Aetherius Society for Europe and a Bishop in The Aetherius
Churches.
He has devoted his life to the work of his late master and personal friend, Dr George
King (1919-1997), who founded the Society, as mentioned above.
