1959 on May 15th to 16th in

Pushing Fallout's buttons
Arriving in Fallout 3's first major town, Megaton, players find that it's built around
an active nuclear bomb that failed to detonate.
While you explore, Megaton's sheriff asks you to disarm the bomb to keep the town safe
for the foreseeable future.
However, Allistair Tenpenny, a mean old rich dude who lives nearby, offers you a lot of
cash to erase Megaton from the map.
The very first major decision not only defines your game, but shows a major tenet of Bethesda's
vision for the Fallout franchise: player choice.
Blowing up Megaton sets you back quite a bit with St. Peter, and your dad, but there is
something satisfying about pushing that big red button and watching the town go boom.
Wolfenstein II's Old Yeller
During the opening of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, players are given a glimpse
into BJ Blazkowicz's early life.
Flashbacks reveal BJ was the child of a loving Jewish mother and a strict, racist southern
father.
Mr. Blazkowicz lashes out at BJ and his mother repeatedly, but after learning BJ befriended
a young black girl, he snaps.
As punishment, BJ's dad drags him to the basement and puts a shotgun in his hands.
The father then lures the family pet into the room, and directs BJ to shoot the dog.

Players can aim away, but BJ's father still ends the pup himself, claiming BJ was too
weak to be a real man anyway.
It's a disturbing snapshot of reality in an otherwise over-the-top game, and one that
makes a late-game family reunion that much more meaningful.

A Fable To Regret
After winning the showdown with Fable II's big bad Lucien, the immortal Theresa offers
you one of three wishes.
You can either bring everyone in the world back to life, sacrificing yourself in the
process; bring back your family and dog at the expense of all those souls who worked
on the Spire; or take an inordinate amount of money and retire as a hero that everyone
in the world hates.
There are no truly wrong choices, but the guilt you'll feel over not bringing all those
people back to life may vary.
Virtual money is cool and you did do all the heavy lifting to stop Lucien…but if everyone
hates you, was it really worth it?

Crossing The Line
With their backs against the wall and outnumbered by enemy forces late in the game, the "heroes"
of Spec Ops: The Line had no choice but to drop white phosphorus on an entire portion
of the game world in order to push forward.

"There's always a choice."
"No, there's really not."
Only after securing the area does the truth come out, making the characters–and players–feel
absolutely sick.
As it turns out, the "enemies" you were chemically attacking weren't really enemies at all, and
dozens of unarmed civilians were affected by your actions.
Spec Ops had a lot to say about war and what it means to be a soldier, but this was one
point we wish wasn't made at all.
BioShock blood rituals
BioShock's special abilities came with a price: players needed to secure enough of
the mysterious substance Adam to ensure they could throw flames, freeze foes, or electrocute
enemies in Rapture.
The only problem was Adam wasn't always easy to find out in the open…but it was easy
to find in the bodies of Rapture's Little Sisters.
As you found the Little Sisters throughout the game, you could choose either to cure
them or steal their life force away.
One choice made you more powerful and a creepy monster.
The other saved the girls, but left you less capable of surviving on your own.
We all know how we played–but we won't judge you for doing something different.
At least not to your face.

A Far Cry from friendship
Far Cry 3's protagonist Jason had to rescue his friends from Vaas, an egomaniacal villain
set on controlling Rook Island.
If not for the intervention of Vaas's sister Citra, Jason may well not have been able to
foil Vaas and his attempts at ruling the island.
However, working with Citra came with a cost of its own.
In the final moments of Far Cry 3, Jason must choose between saving the lives of his friends
or joining Citra to rule Rook Island.
Sparing his friends means Jason has to live with everything he did on the island, as one
"good" decision does not outweigh all the carnage he caused.
Offing his friends ultimately also leads to his own death, as Citra no longer needs Jason
once he's helped her provide an heir to Rook Island.
Mass Ethics 3
Prior to the events of the Mass Effect games, several planetary governments decided it would
be best if perhaps the Krogan race didn't reproduce.
As a war-mongering race with a high rate of childbirth, the Krogans would eventually reproduce
enough to take over the galaxy.
Thus the Genophage virus was introduced to the populous, drastically reducing the number
of Krogan babies popping out.
It wasn't until Mass Effect 3 that a possible cure for the Genophage was revealed, giving
the Krogans an honest chance at survival.
"We're curing the genophage no matter what it takes!
Everything my people will ever be depends on it!"
"Then I hope this idea you were talking about is a good one!"
Players could let the Krogans live by curing the virus, but at the expense of losing a
trusted friend and ally in Mordin Solus.
They could also fake a cure, with the Krogans merely believing the Genophage was gone.
Neither was an easy choice, but having the lives of an entire race put into our hands
was certainly a decision we'd never want to entertain again.
The Dishonor of Lady Boyle
Choosing whether or not to kidnap the vile Lady Boyle for a spurned stalker in Dishonored
is arguably the creepiest choice you'll ever have to make in a game.
Nothing about what the stalker wanted was normal or right.
But on the other side of that coin, Lady Boyle was not a very nice person, and giving her
a comeuppance of sorts was certainly something many players were willing to do.
Perhaps if Lady Boyle hadn't been such a monster, players might've just assassinated her instead.
But it's still a terrible thing to do to someone regardless of how she treated those around
her.
Kind of.

An associate of everyone's favorite RINO Arizona Senator John McCain took the Fifth
Amendment in order to avoid testifying before the House Intelligence Committee on the now
disproven opposition research Russian dossier which claimed deep ties between Candidate
Trump and the Kremlin.
The committee originally issued the subpoena for David Kramer, who is a former State Department
official and current senior director of the nonprofit Soros funded "McCain Institute"
in December of 2017.
According to Committee Chairman Devin Nunes of California had wanted to speak with Kramer
about his visit to London back in November 2016.
According to court documents during that visit, he met with the author of the dossier, former
British intelligence officer Christopher Steele.
The documents also go on to show that he, in fact, met with Steele at McCain's request,
to view a the pre-election memoranda on a confidential basis.
Kramer then traveled back to the U.S. and gave copies of the memos to McCain, who in
turn handed the documents over to the FBI and many on the Democrat Party.
This fake dossier which was picked up by Kramer at the request of McCain was the basis for
the Barack Hussein Obama administration petition to wiretap Trump Tower while Donald Trump
was a candidate for President.

He chose to operate like the standard-issue politicians he likes to rail against.
In 2008, presidential candidate John McCain bravely proposed a health-care reform that
Fortune magazine said was a giant step toward "laissez faire liberty" in health care.
He wanted to empower consumers to find the best health care and even end the tax break
for employer-sponsored plans.
In 2015, McCain joined all but one other GOP senator in voting to repeal Obamacare.
The next year he ran an ad in his primary campaign against a Tea Party Republican claiming
he was "leading the fight to stop Obamacare."
That ad helped him win 51 percent of the primary vote.
Just this year, McCain introduced a bill to "fully" repeal Obamacare and replace it
with a "free-market approach that strengthens the quality and accessibility of care."
Then, last Friday, McCain faced a choice on the Senate floor.
He could vote with all but two of his GOP colleagues for "a skinny repeal" bill
and get to a conference committee, where negotiators from the House and Senate could devise a bill
that might pass both chambers.
Or he could effectively leave Obamacare in place, dooming any realistic effort at curbing
it given the uniform Democratic opposition to any real reform.
McCain sided with the status quo, killing the "skinny repeal."
Journalists rushed to gush over his vote, cast only a few days after a surgery to remove
a dangerous brain tumor.
The New Yorker's take was typical: "Throughout his political life, John McCain has for many
reasons enjoyed bipartisan respect and even reverence: his independence of mind (usually),
his candor (usually), his decency, his love of country."
McCain's stated reason for killing reform was that the bill in front of him "fell
short of our promise to repeal and replace Obamacare with meaningful reform."
True enough, but this is a perfect example of letting the perfect be the enemy of the
better.
Obamacare is a disaster that, left untouched, will be saved only by a massive taxpayer bailout
of insurance companies.
Premiums on Obamacare exchanges have gone up by double digits annually ever since their
formation in 2013.
Out-of-pocket expenses — including copays and deductibles — rose 40 percent, to $2,649
per person on average, between 2011 and 2014.
Hundreds of counties across the country are likely to have no health insurers offering
plans on their local exchanges next year.
McCain's vote represents a complete reversal of the position he won his Senate election
with.
Far from being a modern-day "profile in courage," McCain's vote against advancing
Obamacare reform represents a complete reversal of the position he won his Senate election
with last year.
John Merline of Investor's Business Daily notes that "In the private sector, promising
one thing and delivering the other could be referred to as 'deceptive trade practice.'
For some members of Congress, it's just another day at the office."
Like every American, I wish John McCain the best in his battle against a brain tumor.
But in what may prove to be one of the most important votes he has cast in his 35 years
in Congress, he chose to operate like the standard-issue politicians he likes to rail
against.
Are we really surprised by the fact that John McCain was working against the Republican
Candidate for President?
He has spent his whole time in the Senate working against Republicans and for the Democrats.
Not completely sure why he didn't just run as a Democrat, except for the fact that under
the Democrat banner he would have never been able to win in Arizona.
So he runs as a Republican cycle after cycle while he milks the idea that he was a POW.
Senator McCain, there have been thousands of POWs and although it does make you a hero,
it doesn't make you honorable, something that you have proven countless times throughout
your political career.
Now please retire already and let a real Republican take your place.

The walls are starting to close in on the Clinton family.
Now, more than one government, including the United States, is looking into the dealings
of the Clinton Foundation and its possible criminal activities.
A New Investigation
In January, The Hill reported that the Justice Department had opened a new investigation
into whether the Foundation engaged in any quid pro quo when Hillary Clinton served as
the Secretary of State.
"The officials, who spoke only on condition of anonymity, said the probe is examining
whether the Clintons promised or performed any policy favors in return for largesse to
their charitable efforts or whether donors made commitments of donations in hopes of
securing government outcomes," The Hill wrote.
"The probe may also examine whether any tax-exempt assets were converted for personal
or political use and whether the foundation complied with applicable tax laws, the officials
said.
One witness recently interviewed by the FBI described the session to The Hill as "extremely
professional and unquestionably thorough" and focused on questions about whether donors
to Clinton charitable efforts received any favorable treatment from the Obama administration
on a policy decision previously highlighted in media reports," it said.
Spokesmen for Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation derided the new investigation.
"Let's call this what it is: a sham," Hillary Clinton's spokesman Nick Merrill
said.
"This is a philanthropy that does life-changing work, which Republicans have tried to turn
into a political football.
It began with a now long-debunked project spearheaded by Steve Bannon during the presidential
campaign.
It continues with Jeff Sessions doing Trump's bidding by heeding his calls to meddle with
a department that is supposed to function independently."
"Time after time, the Clinton Foundation has been subjected to politically motivated
allegations, and time after time these allegations have been proven false.
None of this has made us waver in our mission to help people," foundation spokesman Craig
Minassian said.
"The Clinton Foundation has demonstrably improved the lives of millions of people across
America and around the world while earning top ratings from charity watchdog groups in
the process."
Some watchdog groups have given the Foundation a clean bill of health, but other investigators
contend it is a pay-for-play scheme and critical part of Clinton empire.
National Review writes:
The Clintons get nothing from the foundation except free travel on chartered jets and first-class
airline seats and hotel stays and, oh yes, control over a giant operating budget to steer
to the charities and good causes that they prefer.
Practically nothing!
The International Connection
First, multiple investigations have been launched into the Foundation because of the many indications
that the organization operates primarily to benefit the Clintons.
France, for instance, conducted an investigation between 2009-2011 that attempted to determine
where millions of dollars of HIV Aids assistance money (a good portion of which was given to
the Clinton Foundation) was spent.
The Clinton Foundation has its tentacles in several nations, including Columbia and Haiti,
and during the transition from the Obama administration to President Trump's administration, it
was reported that the new president wanted to pressure foreign governments to investigate.
"A source close to President-elect Donald Trump's transition team told The Post that
the new administration plans to pressure the US ambassadors it will name to bring up the
foundation with foreign governments — and suggest they probe its financial dealings,"
The New York Post reported.
"Haiti and Colombia will be key diplomatic posts for this because of all the money
involved," a source told The Post.
"In Haiti, recently leaked e-mails indicate "Friends of Bill" Clinton may have been
given priority by the State Department as it prepared to spend some $10 billion in aid
after a devastating earthquake hit the country in 2010.
The State Department has denied any special treatment," The Postreported.
"In Colombia, Canadian mining magnate Frank Giustra pledged $100 million to the foundation
in 2005 and later benefited from the foundation's philanthropic work in the country, where he
acquired large parcels of land and set up an oil business, according to watchdog groups,"
it said.
There are simply too many examples of corruption and the buying of favors to believe that the
Clintons were merely operating a good-natured charity.
They can run but they cannot hide forever, and the noose is tightening.

But the real question here is can we actually trust the sheriff to investigate his own staff?

Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel has found himself in the national spotlight after the
tragic school shooting that occurred in his corner of Florida, and the chief law enforcement
officer has been looking a bit like a politician while appearing on television to push liberal
talking points about gun control.
Too much like a politician, a skeptic might say.
After some pundits noticed that a sheriff who should be primarily concerned with enforcing
the law has been sounding, like he's reading from the Democrat party phrase book, several
photos emerged that may shed some light on Israel's political leanings.
A photo posted on the sheriff's official Facebook page from 2015 show Israel warmly
interacting with then-candidate Hillary Clinton, a strong liberal and gun control proponent.
"So nice to see you again, Sheriff," says a quote on the photo attributed to Clinton,
implying that Israel and the Democrat candidate were already friends.
"Never let a serious crisis go to waste," as fellow leftist Rahm Emanuel once said.
Sheriff Israel and the rest of the Second Amendment opponents are taking that to heart
— and as a result, the rights of the American people are now at stake.
Dana Loesch on her radio show on Friday gave frightening details about what went on during
the shooting.
It wasn't one deputy who refused to go in while this murderer was on his killing spree,
it was four.
And what makes this even more unbelievable is the fact that the neighboring county police
department is now saying they were the ones, who went in first because the Broward County
Sheriff's Department deputies only stood there listening to the shooting, and screams
for over 4 minutes but for some reason decided to not go in, which let the carnage continue
and the shooter get away.
And then we find out that Sheriff Israel was one of the people who instigated the CNN fake
news town hall narrative in which Dana Loesch needed armed security to get out of alive.
People in attendance confirmed that before the official town hall started the sheriff
riled up the crowd against guns by speaking half-truths and outright lies.
This was the part of the "town hall" which CNN didn't broadcast, convenient, don't
you agree?
It's obvious Scott Israel has his own agenda.
And it's not about banning guns, it's about deflecting from the cowardliness his
own deputies, his department and himself showed as children screamed and cried as they were
being killed in cold blood while these people who are sworn to protect us just hung out
outside the building and did nothing about it.

Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel—the man whose agency failed to prevent the Parkland
massacre despite having received a tip last November that Nikolas Cruz was plotting a
mass shooting—has been accused of public corruption.
Two years ago, the Sun Sentinel reportedthat Israel was rewarding top political supporters
by giving them and their family members cushy jobs doing public relations and community
outreach for the Broward County Sheriff's Office.
One such position, outreach manager, paid out a salary of $78,489.
The person who got that job was the husband of Israel's campaign manager.
Israel had been a Republican but ran for office as a Democrat.
He was first elected sheriff in 2012, then re-elected in 2016.
According to the Sun Sentinel:
The outreach workers, who mainly attend community events, are in addition to political activists
and others Israel hired into community affairs roles, writing and designing printed pieces
about the agency, and sharing it on social media.
The employee log shows six hired into community affairs roles, their salaries totaling $388,729.
Israel's opponents say he's built a publicly funded political machine, paying back supporters
with jobs and using them to keep him in office.
They say the money could be better spent, particularly after the sheriff complained
about not having enough funding to secure the county courthouse, where a murder suspect
recently escaped.
Asked about the allegations, Israel responded, "What have I done differently than Don Shula
or Abraham Lincoln or Martin Luther King, Gandhi?"
He also said, "Lions don't care about the opinions of sheep."
That's a paraphrase of a quote from the Game of Thronescharacter Tywin Lannister,
a villainous public administrator known for promoting his family's interests ahead of
the government's or the people's.
Were the employees hired to work at the Sheriff's Office competent?
It certainly seems like a relevant question now that we know the authorities were forewarned
about the dangers posed by Cruz.
The office received at least 18 calls about Cruz's disturbing behavior and possession
of weapons from 2008 to 2017.
BuzzFeed has obtained records related to those calls.
The most recent one, made on November 30, 2017, described Cruz as a "school shooter
in the making."
Broward County referred the matter to the Palm Beach Sheriff's Office but took no
further action—even though a relative of Cruz had warned Broward County about Cruz's
stash of weapons just three days before.
This news follows the resignation of Marjory Stoneman Douglas School Resource Officer Scot
Peterson, who refused to engage the killer while the rampage was underway.
Israel suspended Peterson after watching video footage of the SRO's behavior, saying that
it made him "sick to my stomach."
Given the appalling failures that took place at Israel's office, the "sheep" might
like to ask the "lion" some questions.
Perhaps he could answer them in a less condescending and authoritarian fashion.

Step Back and Let the Professionals Take Over - Duration: 4:28.
Hi there and welcome back to Daily Bible Promises with a Twist.
And as always, we start off by reading today's verse in the New International Version, and
it's Romans 8:28 -"We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him."
And as usual, we read in another translation, the same verse and maybe a few more verses
to put our verse into context.
And today, we're going to be reading from Romans 8, 25 to 28 in the New American Standard
Bible "But if we hope for what we do not see with perseverance, we wait eagerly for it.
And in the same way the Spirit also helps our weaknesses for we do not know how to pray
as we should, But the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words and
He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because he intercedes
for the saints according to the will of God.
And we know that God causes all things to work together For good to those who love God
to those who are called according to his purpose."
Let's define some of the main characters in this passage.
"And in the same way the Spirit (speaking of the Holy Spirit because Spirit is capitalized),
also helps our weaknesses.
For we do not know how to pray as we should but the Spirit (capital letters) Himself intercedes
for us with groanings too deep for words.
And He who searches the hearts (that's referring to Jesus) and Jesus who searches the hearts
knows what the mind of the Spirit (the Holy Spirit) is, because he (Jesus) intercedes
for the saints according to the will of God.
Verse 28 begins with the word 'and', but we could put the word 'therefore' there.
"Therefore we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love
God."
Now that we have a Glimmer into the inner workings of the Trinity, and how all the three-in-one
work together to see that all things work together for our good, we can breathe a sigh
of relief here.
Sometimes in our weakness we do not have a clue how to pray.
Emotions are stirred up.
There's fear.
There's anxiety.
There's anger, there's stress.
Everything is a huge mess, and we really don't know how to pray.
Sometimes we think that we have to have our act all together and we have to make sure
that our prayers are logical and that every prayer and every word out of our mouth lines
up with the Word of God before God can do anything.
Well, Romans 8:25-28 debunks that theory!
God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit work together in a triune unity to
make sure that all things work together for our good.
Even if we don't have a clue what that good might be, that is a precise moment you need
to take a step back and allow the Trinity to go to work on your behalf.
Allow God the Father to speak His will to God the Son, and allow the Holy Spirit to
intercede on your behalf.
If the Spirit isn't using words, and all He can do is groan with groans that are too deep
for words, how can we possibly put the burden on ourselves to formulate the absolutely perfect
prayer?
Take a step back and let the professionals take over for you.

bad pun on vanilla. Because this is the ice cream simdae challenge that I
wrote. Yes, another legacy challenge I wrote, and I am currently on generation 1
Van-- not Vanessa, vanilla. All the generations are based on ice cream
flavors, which is slightly different from the Pethood legacy, which was kind of a
mess and I just wanted to have a legacy about animals. And here's an ICS
challenge ice cream simdae, no pets are required, but you probably should add
pets, because they're great. She is currently in the-- Vanessa is currently in
the middle of her generation, she is level 5 of the business career, doing
well with her skills and trying to seduce the butler, because that's part of
the storyline. So they're currently at the romance festival because convenient
timing Hey look he's talking about me okay so I
don't know what I'm gonna do in a current household video what are you
supposed to do I don't know like it's kind of weird because there I know like
for some reason I can't put him into a group and just things are weird
I had to cheat to get him to come here cuz I couldn't even invite him not
exactly sure how the volume is let's have them get some drinks together
nope they can't even get a drink together because I can't make them into
a group how stupid either way his name is Andrew deal it's a very weird very
weird name and I think we need to fire him if we want to like propose wait can
we just propose yes let's do that I guess that makes the current household

David that was a difficult afternoon yes but it didn't start difficult
we played quite well in the first half I thought we showed good moments maybe a
bit unfortunate not to go a go ahead Liverpool had chances as well which we
knew would be the case and we had to make the most of ours but there was some
good stuff in the first half and I was happy but certainly not the second half
how difficult is it to deal with that Liverpool frontline it is really
difficult to deal with them we worked most of the week to try and find a way
to deal with them and try to contain them the best we could and I think there
was parts of the game where we did but ultimately there was moments today was
the first day we made individual mistakes that led to goals and because
of that even the corner kick to the second half I thought we gave the ball
away and allowed Liverpool to break that hardly before that we were well
organized had a good shape and made it hard for Liverpool to get through and
tried to do some damage ourselves that second half was very reminiscent to
Brighton away those two quick goals today killed the game they did they cost
us when we went ly0 down it just didn't want to lose heavily so we had to make
sure that wasn't going to be the case we knew it would be hard to get back in the
game we did get one back it give us the snick but you know Liverpool were very
good and very much informed was that game a bit of a free hit what with games
against Burnley and Swansea coming up I'd never say it was a free hit we have
drawn with Arsenal played well against Manchester City beat Chelsea at home so
this is another top team we wanted to produce a similar performance against I
thought in the first half we were very close to it if we should have weak but
more courage with the ball going forward stayed on he ball a bit longer than
we did then I think it would have given us a better chance
