TIA: Kanye West's "Wouldn't Leave" from his eighth album, 'YE,' is a reflection

Things Only Adults Notice In Jumanji - Duration: 8:52.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle turned out far better than anyone had any right to expect.
What initially sounded soulless and cynical ended up being a massively successful, well-received,
family-friendly thrill ride for kids and adults alike.
Starring Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan, the movie effectively
built on the 1995 story about a magical board game with a video-game-based, body-swap comedy
sequel.
Welcome to the Jungle made a lot out of a wacky premise, but that doesn't mean it was
perfect.
Many of its quirks won't be picked up by younger viewers, but the adults in the room probably
noticed them.
Here are some of the things only grown-ups will notice in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.
What console is that?
Jumanji opens in 1996, introducing viewers to a teenage boy named Alex in a sleeveless
Metallica tee whose bedroom is covered in pop culture posters from the era.
Nothing says "1996 teenager" like his quick dismissal of the Jumanji board game in favor
of his trusty PlayStation controller.
We see he's playing Twisted Metal, a game that was released for the Playstation in November
1995.
But when we pause to marvel at the all the authentic 90s stuff in his room, we get a
good look at the console itself.
Spoiler alert: that's no PlayStation.
It doesn't even remotely resemble a PlayStation.
From the looks of things, its closest twin is the Atari 2600, a wood-paneled console
that was already 20 years old in the mid-90s.
And of course, since you've noticed it once, you're not going to be able to ignore that
the controllers go from PlayStation to vaguely Nintendo-esque when the kids pull the game
out at the school.
Fittingly enough, they can't make heads or tails of this odd contraption either.
"What is it, some kind of old-school Nintendo or something?"
"I don't think so.
I don't recognize it."
Have your cheesecake
It seems to be a common belief that just acknowledging overdone clichéd tropes is enough to subvert
them in movies or shows, but that's not really always the case.
Jumanji uses Martha as a mouthpiece to criticize the unnecessarily skimpy outfit worn by her
avatar, Ruby Roundhouse.
But, as good a sentiment as this might be, the film is making this commentary on how
women are designed in video games while it simultaneously benefits from having a young
actress in a skimpy outfit.
Fortunately, the movie is brimming with charm, and doesn't rely too heavily on sexy shots
of a woman's body to keep people watching.
In fact, she adds bits of her male companions' outfits to her own in order to feel a bit
more comfortable as she journeys through the jungle kicking bad guy butt with her dance
fighting techniques.
But the marketing for the movie has no such subtlety, making this a noticeable instance
of Jumanji wanting to have its cake and eat it too.
"Parrish" the thought
At the midpoint in the film, when the teens have been set upon by corrupt researcher Russel
Van Pelt and there's no obvious way to move forward, the missing teenager Alex shows up
in the avatar of Jefferson "Seaplane" McDonough.
He leads our heroes through a hallway full of authentically video gamey traps to his
little hideaway set apart from the main Jumanji playing area.
He's been holed up there for who knows how long, keeping his head down and trying to
hold onto his last life.
He explains to the new kids that the little bungalow where he lives, drinking delicious
margaritas, is not a structure of his own making.
Instead, it once belonged to a man named Alan Parrish.
Alan Parrish is, of course, Robin Williams' character from the original Jumanji.
Not only is the reference a lovely tip of the hat to Alan's character, it also gives
fans of the original movie a glimpse at how Alan was living during his years away.
Alex's amazing slang
"She's pretty fly."
"She da bomb."
"I'm just saying.
I'm sure they'd like to get jiggy with her."
Alex's tortured 90s slang is out of place in the jungle, and also this century.
But his lame-o vocabulary helps the four kids realize that the Alex they've found inside
the game is Alex Vreeke, the boy who's been missing, and stuck in Jumanji, for 20 years.
It's not a bad idea to use outdated slang to tip off the characters that Alex is from
another era, but there are a few problems here.
One is that Will Smith's "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It" came out in 1997, not 1996.
Plus, exactly zero people have ever actually used the phrase "gettin' jiggy" in conversation.
Ever.
Ask your parents.
Also, if they were going to go there with that style of slang, they probably should
have gone with a different characterization for Alex.
Instead of a Metallica tee and a grungy hairstyle, he probably should have been wearing a Cross
Colours tank top and some radical prints.
The walls of his bedroom should have been covered in TLC and Michael Jordan posters.
Now that's 90s.
Instead, his lingo comes off as forced.
Everyone knows mid-90s metalheads didn't say anything was "da bomb!"
Then again… no one really knows what they say sometimes.
[UNINTELLIGIBLE]
The empty Fridge
While Kevin Hart does good work as Fridge's avatar, Fridge himself has no real arc, and
learns no valuable life lessons in the movie.
Things start off promising.
We learn that Fridge asked Spencer to do his homework as a favor, which turns out to be
a bad idea.
Spencer may be a nerd, but he's not necessarily a good student, and the bogus paper he provides
for Fridge is easily sniffed out by his teacher.
As a result, Fridge gets kicked off of the football team.
Later, when Fridge and Spencer's tension comes to a head on a cliff in Jumanji, they get
into a shoving match, costing Spencer one of his lives.
But by working together through the rest of the adventure, they gain a mutual respect
for one another.
Still, at the end of the movie, the problems that led to that cliff confrontation are still
there.
The boys haven't hashed out their personal conflict.
Fridge doesn't apologize for using Spencer to do his homework, nor for insulting and
intimidating him in Jumanji.
They don't team up in the real world to get Fridge reinstated to the football team.
There's no shot of Fridge working hard on his own homework, or doing anything to wrap
up the problems that got him in detention in the first place.
All that's changed about him at the end of his bogus journey with Spencer, Bethany, and
Martha is that he seems nicer and vaguely content.
The movie doesn't want you to notice it, but his academic and athletic future is still
severely compromised by the movie's end.
Compare him to the other characters: Bethany finally begins to take an interest in the
world outside herself.
Spencer gets the nerve to take a chance and kiss Martha, and Martha gets over her shy
nervousness enough to kiss him back.
Fridge just spent all afternoon playing video games — but all of his problems are still
there.
That's kind of how real life works, too.
The Alex paradox
Jumanji is a family movie, so a happy ending is pretty much par for the course.
But let's put on our thinking caps for a second: the implications of Alex returning to the
moment of his disappearance after being trapped inside the game for 20 years should probably
be more severe than the movie lets on.
No, seriously, let's talk about this!
If a butterfly flapping its wings in one location can have a dramatic ripple effect on everything
else in the world, then a human teenager going missing would fundamentally change the fabric
of at least Brantford, New Hampshire.
Alex's unexplained disappearance from this small town was a major cultural touchstone
for everyone who lived there.
It's mentioned multiple times by different characters at the start of the film, and it's
the sort of event that would have all kinds of small effects on people's' relationships
and behavior.
Parents probably have his disappearance in the back of their minds while they're raising
their kids.
Old Man Vreeke, who was once vigorous and full of life, has his destiny dramatically
changed by the anguish from mysteriously losing his son.
The disappearance leads other people in town to be more cautious over the years that follow.
The ending should have been more like Back to the Future, with the tiniest changes in
the past having major effects in the years that followed.
But nope!
That never happened.
Even after the timeline where Spencer, Fridge, Martha, and Bethany were living in gets winked
out of existence and replaced by this new world where Alex never went missing, everything
outside of Alex's family ends up being exactly the same.
Beyond the confines of his household, it appears that Alex's absence from the world meant just
about nothing.
That's insane!
Right?!
"At no point in your rambling, incoherent response, were you even close to anything
that could be considered a rational thought."
Look, okay, fine, sure.
We realize this is a movie about a magical video game, but that still just doesn't make
a whole lot of sense.
Okay?

After Trump Pardons Him, D'Souza Comes Forward With Shocking Claim About Obama.
On Thursday, President Donald Trump made liberal heads explode by pardoning conservative filmmaker
Dinesh D'Souza, the mastermind behind best-selling movies like "2016: Obama's America."
In the wake of this good news, D'Souza wasted no time before coming forward with a shocking
claim about Barack Obama.
Dinesh D'Souza is undoubtedly one of the most prominent and vocal conservatives in
America.
The most successful documentary filmmaker of all-time, he produced the wildly popular
movie "2016: Obama's America."
However, while D'Souza has been incredibly successful, his work has also made him a target.
While Barack Obama was in office, D'Souza was prosecuted for using a "straw donor"
to make campaign contributions on his behalf which exceeded the established limitations
for an individual.
Donors rarely face charges for such violations, and the investigation into D'Souza's actions
was widely seen as a political witchhunt, but he pleaded guilty to the charges in federal
court in 2014.
His lawyer argued that the government "targeted" D'Souza "because of his consistently caustic
and highly publicized criticism" of Barack Obama.
He filed court papers at the time claiming that his client was "selectively targeted
for felony prosecution because of his outspoken, vigorous and politically controversial criticism
and condemnation" of the president and his administration.
Indeed, the double-standard when it comes to these sorts of cases is glaring.
For example, Democratic mega-donor Rosie O'Donnell was caught using four different names and
five different addresses in order to give Democratic candidates as much money as possible:
Rosie O'Donnell made illegally over-sized campaign donations to at least five Democratic
federal candidates, according to a Post analysis of campaign filings.
The liberal comedian has regularly broken Federal Election Commission rules limiting
the total any one person can give to an individual candidate at $2,700 per election.
The limit applies separately to primaries, runoffs and general elections.

O'Donnell tried to say that she had no idea she had broken the law, but the fact that
she went to such great lengths to cover her tracks, using so many different names and
addresses, would certainly suggest that she was well aware of her wrongdoing and even
taking steps to try to make sure she didn't get caught.
D'Souza ultimately avoided jail time in his case but was confined for 8 months in
a halfway house, given five years probation, and ordered to pay a $30,000 fine.
However, it was announced on Thursday that he was granted a full pardon by President
Donald Trump, who agreed that it was absolutely ridiculous to prosecute the filmmaker for
something prominent Democrats have always gotten away with.
In announcing the pardon, Trump said D'Souza "was treated very unfairly by our government!"
D'Souza responded to the pardon by expressing his heartfelt thanks to Donald Trump and noting
that Obama had very nearly destroyed his faith in the American dream.
"My heartfelt thanks to those who prayed for me, supported me & reached out on social
media to President Trump to pardon me," D'Souza tweeted.
"Obama & his stooges tried to extinguish my American dream & destroy my faith in America.
Thank you @realDonaldTrump for fully restoring both."
D'Souza's wife Debbie also expressed her gratitude to the president and gave special
thanks to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) for pushing the pardon.
"I want to thank @realDonaldTrump for giving my husband a pardon but I particularly want
to thank @SenTedCruz for putting it on his radar and helping make it happen!
So grateful!" she tweeted.
Cruz also praised the pardon, tweeting, "Bravo! @realDonaldTrump Dinesh was the subject of
a political prosecution, brazenly targeted by the Obama administration bc of his political
views.
And he's a powerful voice for freedom, systematically dismantling the lies of the Left—which is
why they hate him.
This is Justice."
You certainly can't blame a man like Dinesh D'Souza for questioning his faith in America
after having been targeted by the Obama administration.
And, make no mistake, he was targeted.
Barack Obama was looking for any way possible to skewer the conservative filmmaker who made
a career out of exposing him.
Obama ultimately found his avenue for hurting D'Souza, choosing to have him prosecuted
for a "crime" which Democrats commit all the time, and on a much bigger scale.
Just like Dinesh D'Souza, Americans from sea to shining sea have had their faith restored
by President Donald Trump, who is systematically working to dismantle Obama's legacy.
The pardon of D'Souza was just the latest step in this effort.

So, I've already made a video talking about 10 rappers who fell Off after making the XXL
Freshman List, so obviously the next step would be looking at 10 XXL Freshmen that blew
up after appearing on the list. Whether you feel that the list has lost credibility recently
or not, it's hard to deny that it's acted as a nice launching pad for the careers of
many young artists. So with that being said, this is CDTVProductions, you can follow me
on Twitter under that exact handle, and let's get started with the list of 10 XXL Freshman
Rappers Who Blew Up After the List.
List:
10 - ScHoolboy Q (2013)
It's pretty crazy when you look at the difference between ScHoolboy's chart performance before
he made the list, and then look at it after he made the list. The 2 albums he dropped
prior to the list, those being Setback and Habits & Contradictions, peaked at number
100 and number 111 respectively on the Billboard 200. Then all of a sudden, Q hits the Freshman
list in 2013, drops a couple popular singles, and boom his next album, Oxymoron peaked at
number 1 on the Billboard charts. And this success has continued all the way to his most
recent release, the Blank Face LP which peaked at number 2. And in my opinion, ScHoolboy
deserves this success, he might just be my next favourite member of TDE next to Kendrick.
9 - Future (2012)
Now he may have completely ruined the cypher he was in for XXL, but Future would go on
to be pretty huge. Before the list he had only released one album, titled Pluto, but
his most prominent albums came afterwards. All you would need to focus on to see this
is his 2013 project DS2, which had insane first week numbers of 344,000 sales. Not to
mention all 3 of his albums after DS2 would become number 1 albums. He also has the huge
song Mask Off under his belt and has featured with almost every big artist. He was somewhat
popular in 2012, but following the list his name has been absolutely everywhere.
8 - YG (2011)
YG had only released 3 mixtapes prior to being featured on this list, although he did have
a relatively big song called Toot It and Boot It, which peaked at number 60 on the Hot 100.
Now it would take him a while to really pick up his momentum after appearing on the list,
but things would start looking up in 2013 when he released the song My N***a, which
was used in an unreal amount of Vines back when that was still alive. This song sold
really well, and YG would continue to have successful singles that year with Who Do You
Love? and Left, Right. He would not only have success with singles though, as both his albums
hit the top 10 of the Billboard 200. Only time will tell if his upcoming album, Stay
Dangerous, will have the same performance.
7 - J Cole (2010)
Like come on, you already know the memes about his success. Platinum with no features, double
platinum with no features, single handedly started and ended World War 3 with no features,
ended world hunger and then ended the world with no features. He's done it all. All
you have to do is look at the amount of discussion occurring around Cole's newest album KOD,
and it's easy to say that he has blown the hell up. He was featured on the list after
only releasing 2 mixtapes, The Come Up and The Warm Up, which were successful mixtapes,
but compare them to where he's at now and they pale in comparison.
6 - Macklemore (2012)
Now a lot of people said I should've included Macklemore in my 10 Rappers Who Fell Off After
XXL list, but if you take a look at the evidence, this really isn't the case. He definitely
did blow up after it, and looking at the stats he is still very much on. Because every album
he has released so far after the list, has been pretty successful. The Heist has sold
over 1.4 million copies in the US, This Unruly Mess I've Made has sold over 600,000, and
his newest solo album Gemini, whilst it was pretty bad in my opinion, still charted at
number 2 selling 51,000 copies in just its first week. And he's still currently making
hit songs, not as many as he used to, but his song Glorious from 2017 has went platinum
and Good Ol' Days with Kesha charted in the top half of the Hot 100. Macklemore exploded
in 2012 and he's still retaining a decent amount of that success to this day.
5 - Lil Uzi Vert (2016)
You might argue that Lil Uzi was pretty successful before making it onto the Freshman list, and
I agree with that, but he shot up in popularity even more after it. He had released Lil Uzi
Vs The World before the list which eventually went gold, but I feel like most of his success
came after it. Songs like Money Longer and You Was Right went double platinum after the
list and on top of that in 2017 he released his biggest song to this date, that being
XO Tour Llif3. There's no denying that this song was absolutely huge, so far its went
6 times platinum and has 200 million views on YouTube. Additionally he had his most successful
project after the list, that being Luv Is Rage 2, which sold 135,000 copies in its first
week. He definitely had a fair amount of success before the list, but I think this proves that
most of it came after.
4 - Big Sean (2010)
It actually surprised me when I look at how early on in his career Big Sean was featured
here. He had only dropped 2 mixtapes at this point, and it really showed XXL was really
focused on actually scooping up emerging talent on their earlier lists. After this list, Sean
pretty much became a big success from the first studio album, and now he has 3 platinum
albums, 1 Gold album, and has one of the most popular mixtapes on Datpiff with Detroit,
which has been downloaded over 2.4 million times. There's a lot you can knock Big Sean
for, sometimes he has lines that are best described as painful, occasionally his monotone
flows sound lazy, but I think he's an artist that is only improving and he's undeniably
made it into the big leagues of hip hop.
3 - Logic (2013)
Logic had already built a pretty strong fan base by 2013 from his first two Young Sinatra
mixtapes, but in the present day he is a worldwide success. Logic really seems to be an artist
that somehow manages to pretty much double his fan base with each new project. Look,
I may have incredibly mixed feelings about his Everybody album (haha get it, "mixed"
feelings), but that doesn't mean I can't recognise the insane amount of success it
has brought him. The album itself went number one in its first week and spawned a gold,
platinum and multi platinum single with Black Spider-Man, Everybody, and the "who can
relate? Whooo!" Song respectively. 4 years after this list, 2 gold albums and one platinum
album later, it's safe to say Logic is at his commercial peak at this point.
2 - Travis Scott (2013)
I mean, this man dropped an album that many would say re-defined modern trap music, some
would call it an instant classic. There are also others that would instantly write off
Travis because of the autotune, but he's one of the people to use it in the most creative
fashion to me. Using multiple different vocal effects, he really makes his voice another
instrument on the song, and it's very easy to see why Travis would achieve fame so quickly.
Both his studio albums have went platinum, and when AstroWorld finally releases, whenever
that may be, it's safe to say it's gonna go platinum very quickly as well. And if you
just have a burning hate for autotune for whatever reason, you should at least try out
Owl Pharoah or even Days Before Rodeo where Travis raps in his regular voice a lot. He's
a very talented guy and whether you like it or not, he is also very influential.
1 - Kendrick Lamar (2011)
There's really not anyone else I could pick for the number 1 spot, hell, most people see
Kendrick as THE number 1 in hip hop music right now. He was featured on the list before
he had even released a studio album, but would go on to release his debut, Section.80 a few
months later. This album was received pretty well, but only sold around 5,000 copies in
its first week, which looks like nothing considering Good Kid Maad City released just a year later
sold 242,000 copies first week. Then To Pimp A Butterfly did 324,000 copies. Then DAMN.
did 603,000 first week. He's only going up, and rapidly so. In the span of 5 years,
Kendrick has had success after success, becoming more and more relevant to the point where
you really start questioning if he can keep 1 upping himself. He has done a fantastic
job, is seen as the greatest of all time by many, and in my opinion, is the biggest XXL
Freshman success story.

today I'm gonna show you how to travel on the subway
First of all a disclaimer:
this is by no means an expert guide on how to travel on the subway
these are just a series of guidelines I've learned through my traveling
but I wanted to show you this because
the subway is a great means of transportation
actually it's one of my favourite ones while travelling because
it's really cheap, it's really fast, and it's really easy to go
you really cannot miss where you're going
I'm gonna show you right now
what to do in order for you to find the nearest subway station
how to get to the one you wanna go
and how to move yourself around
Alright! So, the first step you have to take is
find a map where you can see the nearest subway station to you
so let's assume we are...
let's say we are here at the number 16
so, the nearest metro station it's gonna be "Barberini-Fontana Trevi"
and we're gonna go to the Coliseum
which is down here
and there is a metro station right there
so what we have to do is walk to this station, get in there
and then I'll show you the next
So, the next step is get into the subway station and find THIS map
here you're gonna see every line in the subway, available
now we're gonna find the one
we were in which was Barberini
here it is it's on the orange line
and then we want to go to the Colosseo which is right here is on the blue line
so what we have to do is take it on this direction
and this spot that has three different colors in it
is "Termini station" right here all three lines intersect
so you can change from one line to the other without any problems
so, you ride the subway to Termini
and then you change to the blue line
and get to the Coliseum
All right, now how are you gonna know if you're taking the train in the right direction?
again, when you are at the station you're gonna find a map like this
this is the single line you're gonna take, from the beginning to the end
you're gonna see here that we currently are at termini station
and we said we want to go to the Coliseum
which is down here
this map it's really easy because you
can see in gray the stations that are behind you
and in red the ones that are ahead
not always is like this, so you have to be careful
we want to go to the Coliseum and we are at Termini
so we're gonna try to go in the direction of Laurentina
always look at the bottom
or at the top
if you take the train going to Rebibbia
you're going in the opposite direction, right?
so, we're gonna go to Laurentina
Once you get in the train
you're gonna find the same line map we've been talking about
make sure you keep an eye on it, so you don't get off the train
either too early or too late
and every time you feel the train stopping
look out of the window
you're gonna find there on the wall
the name of the station you're arriving at
if for some reason you find that you're going in the wrong direction
or that you have missed your stop
don't worry! just leave the train on the next station
find out where you are,
and the direction you're supposed to be going
you're going to find line maps on pretty much every platform
after that, follow the exit sign
and start looking for the signs to get on the train in the right direction
when you're riding on the subway
there are two very important rules you should never forget
the first one is: once you get on the platform
you're gonna find these security lines
always make sure you stay behind those lines
until the train has arrived,
completely stopped and
opened the doors
and the second rule is once the doors open
stay on this side for a little while
and allow the passengers to exit the train
before you go in
and last but not least
don't be intimidated by very large metro systems
like this one
it all works the same
remember that as long as you don't cross
the security filter at the exit
you are only paying for a single ride
it doesn't matter how many trains you take
so, hop on the subway and enjoy the ride

range in this movie not only solidifying his place as an action star he also

seriously coming in at number four Jack Ryan from Patriot Games and clear and
present danger now Ford wasn't the first actor to portray Jack Ryan on the big
screen that honor goes to Alec Baldwin in the Hunt for Red October but over the
span of the next two movies based on author Tom Clancy's bestselling novels
Ford took the role to new heights both Patriot Games and clear and present
danger were among some of the first films that raised the bar and what
audiences have come to expect from espionage thrillers as a lowly CIA
analyst similar to his performance in the fugitive Ford shows his incredible
acting range once again these movies have some pretty impressive action
sequences as well as some affords most dramatic performances ever since Ford
walked away from the role of Jack Ryan Ben Affleck Chris Pine and even John
Krasinski have each taken their stabs at the role but it failed to completely
fill the shoes that board left behind now to the number three Harrison Ford
role Rick Deckard from the Blade Runner series when Ford took on this
challenging role back in 1982 we saw a side of the actor that no one had seen
up to that point not only did Ridley Scott's noir style
futuristic thriller set a new standard for the sci-fi genre there was no better
lead for the groundbreaking movie than Harrison Ford then in 2017 Ford reprised
his role for the highly anticipated sequel Blade Runner 2049 but that isn't
the first time that Ford dusted off a role that had been shelved
for more than three decades and that brings us to my number two favorite
Harrison Ford role han Solo it's the role that made Harrison Ford a
household name Han Solo is easily one of the most identifiable and beloved
characters in the entire Star Wars saga Solo was the charming gun-slinging
scoundrel that didn't necessarily always play by the rules his motivations were
always Noble but in the end he seemed to always do it was right in all Fortas
appeared in four Star Wars movies as Han Solo the entire original trilogy and
then he returned to the role after more than 30 years in Star Wars The Force
awakens then in 2018 Lucasfilm passed the keys of the Millennium Falcon to
Alden Ehrenreich who plays a much younger Han in the solo origin movie
solo a Star Wars story he's no Harrison Ford but he does a pretty good Han Solo
and now my number one all-time favorite Harrison Ford character is Indiana Jones
all the way back in 1981 fresh off the heels of the Empire Strikes Back
Harrison Ford on the Fedora satchel and leather whip for the very first time in
Raiders of the Lost Ark and since then dr. Jones has taken us on three of the
greatest cinematic adventures ever made oh and that one other attempt at one
Indiana Jones is not only ford's best role he's also Ford's most relatable
character here you have this swashbuckling treasure hunter who always
seems to be caught up in something that's way over his head he makes
mistakes along the way and even fails occasionally but he always seems to come
out on top as a kid he always made me feel like I could do anything and there
just aren't many heroes like Indiana Jones in the movies today
that's why Indiana Jones is my favorite Harrison Ford character well that's it

There are two groups of children who participate in our Social Circus Program:
one in the morning and another one in the afternoon.
They start with a Socio-Educational Program where they study and do their homework with the help of our staff and volunteers.
This is Doña Nati the local cook who cooks the children's meals.
At the end of the day provide the children who participates in our Social Circus Program
a hot healthy meal to gain all the nutrients they need such as dairy, meat, and vegetables.

Children eating here with us is very important because

food to eat because...
maybe their parents are not at home, they go to work, and there's no one who feed them.
And here we feed them well, it's the better for them
And I hope there will never be lack of food here.
