Youtube daily report Jun 1 2018

Look how fortunate we are, Serce showed up all by herself.

She came as a godsend.

Is sister Serce here? Where is she?

For God's sake...

Why are you sneaking behind me? I've lost my mind!

When did she come?

What is it to you?

She came in when she did.

Right... you didn't get to greet her for weeks!

You're dying of your curiosity, right?

She went to Mrs. Macide.

At the pergola.

Come on, go.

Kiss her hand, meet with her.

You're already too late for it.

She literally ran for her.

Girl, slow down!

- There you go, Mrs. Macide. - Thanks, dear. Thank you.

- Do you need anything else? - No, honey, thank you.

How are you, by the way? Did you settle in here?

Yes, I did.

If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask.

May God make you smile, all the time.

Have great days under this roof.

Amen. Thank you very much.

I'll never forget this kindness of yours. May God be pleased with you.

Don't mention.

May God be pleased with us all.

I'll go inside, if you excuse me. There are things to do.

Sure thing, go ahead.

I'll tell that I had the soup as I was sick.

And I'll thank you, that you made the soup the way my mom used to do.

Mom!

You'll NEVER Take Vitamins Again After Hearing THIS - Duration: 2:55.

We all need our vitamins and minerals.

There are 13 main ones and you'll actually die without them.

Many of us take multivitamins and supplements because we think it will somehow benefit our

health in the long run.

But after hearing what I'm about to tell you, you'll probably never take another

multivitamin again.

Welcome back to IO I'm Charlotte Dobre.

We all had a mother that forced us to swallow or chew a vitamin every morning.

I had those flinstone vitamins, which low key tasted like candy so I tolerated them.

I also didn't eat my veggies as often as I should have so I took multivitamins as a

way to escape eating a salad.

In the united states, 68 percent of adults take supplements, and 84 percent of Americans

believe that taking supplements is effective.

But multivitamins are expensive.

Sometimes they can cost $20 or more for a single jar.

That's if you're only taking one type.

But guess what.

According to a 5 year study, Vitamin and Mineral supplements make absolutely no difference

to your health.

Before you go and say, what the hell IO this is fake news, cuz I know some of you like

to do that before you actually look up the story, this study has been published in the

journal of the American college of cardiology.

And frankly, this isn't even a new idea.

To anyone who's studied vitamins, the results of the recent study is not even surprising.

According to the lead author of the study, Dr. David Jenkins, there is no harm in taking

supplements like vitamin d, multivitamins, calcium or vitamin c.

But there is also no apparent advantage either.

Furthermore, They do absolutely nothing to prevent heart attacks, cardiovascular disease,

or death.

The only supplements that seem to have some positive effects is folic acid, which may

be linked to having fewer strokes and less overall cardiovascular disease.

Obviously there are some exceptions.

If you do have a specific deficiency, and if a doctor tells you to take supplements,

do it.

But the best thing to do to get the vitamins and minerals you need is to eat a healthy

diet.

Once again, there is no shortcut around eating healthy.

Moral of the story: take that money you would spend on supplements, and instead regularly

stock up on veggies, fruits and nuts.

Stop spending money on pills unless you have to.

3 Ways to Enable Alexa Skills - Duration: 3:07.

Hi! I'm Zoe from Technicool,

and today I'm gonna show y'all how to enable an Alexa skill.

There are three ways that you can enable skills.

Through the Amazon Alexa app,

through Alexa herself, and through Amazon the website

The first method I'm gonna show y'all is through the Amazon Alexa app

So you're just gonna open the app and you're gonna click the three lines over here and go to skills

so when you click that it brings you to this menu where it shows

you different Alexa skills, the latest skills, or game skills, or top skills.

You can either look at the categories and search through there.

Or, you can search for a specific skill.

Today I'm going to demonstrate with our own skill called Spin the Wheel.

And you can learn more about that

in our last video or on our website Technicool.com .

And so this is our skill

which is the second one. Just a blue thing and it says "by Technicool"

and you're gonna see this big blue rectangle it says "Enable" and you just click enable,

and then you wait for it to enable.

and then it's enabled and it's ready to use.

Zoe: Alexa, ask Spin the Wheel to create dinner.

Alexa: what item do you want to add to dinner?

Zoe: and there you go that's how you enable a skill through the Amazon Alex app.

The next method is to enable a skill through Alexa herself.

Zoe: Alexa, enable "Flatter me"

Alexa: That thing you don't like about yourself is what makes you so interesting.

Z: Alexa, enable "The I'm poor Skill".

Alexa: Here's a skill "the I'm poor skill" created by cooliotonyio.

A: maybe you should stop trying to be poor.

Z: And there you go, that's how you enable skills through Alexa herself.

Now the last method is through the Amazon website.

Be sure you're signed into the same account that all your Alexa's are set up to.

So what you're gonna do is you're gonna go to this little thing in the corner,

click Alexa skills, then you're gonna

type in the skill that you want. So we're gonna do Spin the Wheel.

Like I said before, you can find out more information on this from our last video and also on our website.

Then you're gonna want to click the skill that you want and

obviously y'all want our Spin the Wheel because it's awesome and amazing and y'all should get it.

Then you're gonna click this yellow rectangle over here that says "Enable"

And then it's enabled!

Wow look at that it's so easy.

(In the distance) wOw.

Now let's try it out

Zoe: Alexa, ask Spin the Wheel to create dinner.

Alexa: What item do you want to add to dinner?

Z: And there you go.

those are all the ways that you can enable an Alexa skill.

I hope you guys found this video helpful and if y'all did be sure to hit that "like" button!

Be sure to check out our last video and don't forget to subscribe to see more content like this.

Also, if you want more information about other things that we've reviewed,

or that we have instructions on be sure to visit our website:

Technicool.com . it'll be linked in the description below as well as our skill!

which is downloadable for everybody who has an echo dot...

(laugh)

Anyways, that's all for now!

Bye.

First Look: Savage 110 Scout in .308 Win - What's in the Box? - Duration: 21:32.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, welcome to The Social Regressive. I'm

Kyle Broderick, and I'll be your tour guide through this unboxing video. I

don't like to do these on my channel for the most part because I think they're

tedious and pointless. What's in the box is much less important than how it works,

so if I'm going to test a rifle I'm gonna get outside and I'm gonna shoot it

in practical scenarios that kind of match what the rifle is set up for and

this rifle is a little bit different. What's in this box or not in this box is

going to be very important to me and probably very important to you. The

Patrons of the Destructive Arts out on Patreon, they selected this rifle in a

poll - we put a poll out there and on Facebook and people could determine what

from the Savage catalog they wanted me to review next. I had a handful of items

that I wanted to check out and they picked this. This is the Savage 110 Scout.

The new 110 line includes both short action and long action rifles and it's

just kind of a whole revamp of a lot of the standard rifles that we've come to

love from Savage over the years they've kind of combined them all into this one

kind of designation and then they just put a word after it like varmint

you know brush hunter predator and in this case scout they picked the one 10

Scout to test out and this I think is going to be a really interesting one

because it deviates a lot from a lot of the videos that I have been doing here

in the recent past I've been doing a lot of precision shooting a lot of long

range prone shooting and this is built not to be shot from the pro and it's

built to be shot off hand that's what this really is designed for the Scout

model rifle as kind of put together as conceived by Jeff Cooper is supposed to

be a short lightweight rifle that's chambered in a pretty hard-hitting

caliber like 308 in the case of the the savage 110 Scout you get the choice of

223, 308, 338 Federal, and 450 Bushmaster so you get one that's more of you know

kind of plinking and a little bit faster but then you kind of get into what Jeff

Cooper was more about which is the the heavier hitting sort of thing.

These rifles are intended to be shot at kind of closer ranges say about zero

yards out to about 400, 450; that's how he figured it and they were designed to be

handy easy to stow, easy to carry, sling over your shoulder, put in a truck.

They're meant to be quick to hand quick to point and just kind of easy to use

all around but what Savage has done is they've taken that formula and they have

there are a couple of companies that have put out scout rifles and Savage has

had a scout rifle in the past I think it might have been a 111 or something but

now this is in their new form factor in their new stock and what this stock is

it's called the Accu-Fit stock so what we have is - well it's kind of a

combination of the two. The old Accustock had an aluminum bedding block

running through here and up into the forearm to make sure that even though it

was a plastic lightweight stock that it was very stiff that it wouldn't flex

when it was placed on a bipod or run off a sling that you could count on this and

no matter what style of shooting you were going to employ it but what they've

done now is they've added the Accufit system so with this you can remove this

spacer right back here and you can swap it out or stack the or stack these

things and you can get different lengths of pull to fit your individual

dimensions and they also have different cheek risers right here that you can

also remove and swap out while you're doing that so you can make this fit you

and how your cheek works and how you look through the scope to make it fit

perfectly and do it in an inexpensive way instead of making this a really

expensive rifle with all kinds of movable parts they just made some

plastic parts you can swap out and pop in really great idea

and that's the part that I'm really curious about in this box I want to see

what they've actually included did they include some of the cheek risers that

they include some of the butt pad spacers we're about to find out but

first I want to take a good look at the rifle

and before we actually do that I do want to point out a couple of things about

just the overall shape of this you'll see that we have a forward mounted

optics rail this is part of Jeff's Cooper's design he wanted to use not a

regular rifle scope where that you know it's typically sitting way back here and

is pretty close to your eye he wanted to have a big field of view to be able to

see everything out around him to see be able to see the environment and then

have a relatively small view through the scope using basically a pistol scope up

front and then I mentioned iron sights I think we have a peep sight at the back

and then kind of a bladed protected front sight right up here so this does

pretty well fit his concept for that rifle before we take a close look at

this I just wanted to point out the shirt that I'm wearing thank you the

hide for sending this to me go check out his channel guys just look it up on

YouTube go look up the hide channel and you'll find him he has a really neat

there's the back of it he has a really neat setup he reviews rifles mostly he's

done some other firearms but he has a cool setup in his back yard where he can

you know test the precision of a rifle at a hundred yards if he needs to but he

can also do some running gun things he has just a neat little course set up in

his backyard that I totally want to crash sometime it looks like a lot of

fun alright let's delve into the rifle where should we start the muzzle end or

the butt end now let's take a look at the buttstock since this is kind of the

crux of the whole thing this is where you get the fun parts to swap out the

recoil pad back here is very thick and it has some nice squish to it it's not

as squishy as some of their older models and it's nicely rounded at the edge here

so this should not hang up on clothing quite as much this should be pretty easy

to get into the shoulders take a fast shot and yeah it's gonna absorb recoil

from that 450 Bushmaster the 338 federal or the 308 that we have here installed

is one of the spacers already in place up top this is one of the comb height

pieces and we'll see what other pieces are available I'm guessing that this is

the shortest one moving forward and take a look at some

of the the shapes that we have going through here you get a lot of nice

straight lines that are radiused with you know pretty much sections of a

circle it's all very clean and crisp looking moving into the handguard you

get a couple of rubber inserts and you get these slashes cut in oh and now that

we're looking at the underside there's a new savage logo right there and the

quick detach or the other swivel stud at the back like you normally get just

feeling the grip off hand it feels quite nice it feels very much like their older

model nothing really revolutionary going on here but I think these little rubber

grips should do a good job of keeping the rifle in your hand moving forward we

have a metal trigger guard and this has a little bit of a different shape I like

it it should be plenty of room right here for gloved hands or however big

your hands are gonna be I think it should fit pretty well on this trigger

guard and then of course you have the active trigger up front moving further

forward you have this this mag well right here

I was thinking originally this is the accurate mag bottom metal but no this is

something a little bit slimmer this has it sticks down a little bit not quite as

far on this rifle is the accurate mag model and I can kind of see why they did

that why they went with this one this might be CDI or Pacific and some of the

middle actually extends up into the rifle as you can see there this one

doesn't sit entirely flush down here it actually pushes up I'll have to put an

annotation to which bottom metal this is but yeah I can see why they went this

route it doesn't really include anything that's going to snag on clothing or on

straps or anything like that for a rifle that needs to be handy and needs to be

really quick to the shoulder looking around to the top safety as usual and

the action up here take a look at this this is not the old model 10 action with

its open top or the 12 or 16 or whatever this is more their target style action

so this one has that full top strap across the top and that's

probably going to lend itself to even improved accuracy with these rifles that

have it over the open top I know that I've never had any issues with the open

top doing anything but any extra bit of rigidity through here is probably a good

thing up top we have the peep sight at the rear this looks quite nice nicely

machined and it is adjustable for both windage and elevation moving forward

here is the the big deal that separates the scout from all the other ranch

rifles and other just little shorty rifles and that's where the scope is

going to be placed this is mounted out basically over the barrel well out in

front of the action that way you can mount what essentially amounts to a

pistol scope out front this is pretty long so you can mount things as far back

or as far forward as you need and the scope that we're going to be working

with it first this is a Simmons Gold Medal and these are a little bit rare

nowadays these were made back in the older days of Simmons these are quite

well known as being excellent scopes I don't know if you can read this but this

one is made in Japan quite a nice pistol scope this one does not have any tricks

in the reticle it's just a simple one and a half to four and the magnification

on a Scout scope needs to be low that was the original plan something in the

range of 2 power 3 power 4 power something like that so you can easily

get on targets at a variety of ranges but mostly a little bit closer in so

yeah we're gonna put this on top and then later we're going to be featuring

another scope on top of here and I'll release what that is a little bit later

I'm working with a vendor to be able to demonstrate a really neat scope that I

think will go very well with this now further forward the handguard this again

is much like the older AK you stock it does have the the metal kind of chassis

insert here inside the stock and it is a little bit on the thinner side but then

it has enough bulk that you're probably not

you know be worried about getting your fingers around to the barrel and burning

them and that barrel I should mention is actually probably the biggest deviation

that this rifle makes from the Scout formula as Jeff Cooper described it this

actually has quite a bit of bulk to it this is a pretty hefty barrel it has a

very fast taper it goes from you know a very thick section back here down to the

muzzle which is still just a little bit larger I think than your average sporter

Waite barrel but it doesn't taper down quickly and get down to a pencil barrel

or anything and that's probably what Jeff Cooper would have wanted if you

look at his styrsky that he did a lot of shooting with and was kind of his

favorite rifle the one that he helped design it had a very thin kind of pencil

barrel it wasn't really designed for ultimate precision it was designed to be

quick and whippy and to really get on target quickly and in my opinion that

rifle is just so ugly partially because of how thin that barrel is and how huge

the forearm is but hey you know beauty is as Beauty does we're gonna see how

this performs I suspect that when Savage was taking a look at this they kind of

looked at that thin barrel like yeah we do precision rifles will make this

little heavier so I'm expecting that this will actually shoot quite well

possibly better than Jeff Cooper's original design we'll see about that

it kind of sounds anathema to say that so the the sight up front this is a kind

of an AR style it's it's not fully shrouded it just has these ears on the

side for protection and then kind of a thick front blade out here and I think

this should work very well for shooting at the size of targets that are expected

for a scout rifle this is designed as kind of a law-enforcement rifle it would

also be good against certain types of game good stuff there front we have a

muzzle break and this looks like it's going to be very effective it

as to quite large ports even though it isn't all that much larger than the

actual diameter of the barrel so I think that you know despite its its lack of

diameter it still looks like it's going to be very effective I've tried out a

couple of muzzle brakes in this design on a couple of different rifles and they

functioned very well so I expect that this one should take up the recoil a lot

now bear in mind that with a muzzle brake like this as close to your ears

it's going to be with this short barrel that this is going to blow your ears out

if you take a shot without any kind of hearing protection we will be shooting

suppressed with this and we'll be doing some some hearing safe stuff we will

actually test out this muzzle break we'll see how effective it is let's

check out the parts and accessories okay the bolt this has an interesting looking

bolt handle that looks like it should be really functional well we'll give this a

good feel on the actual rifle magazine oh good

this is a Magpul 10-round P mag this is one of the accuracy international

pattern not the sr-25 so this is going to be that single stack and this is the

one that I raved about on the model 10 GRS I love the way that this thing fed

that was easily the slickest I think rifle that I've ever felt at least it's

the slickest Savage it ran very very smoothly and a lot of that I think came

down to the magazine now let's see what parts we get ok so we get a little kind

of guide to the AK you fit system right here ok and it looks like it came with

quite a few parts then let's just find out what's in here

so it looks like yeah this does come with the the cheek risers and extra

spacers for the buttstock let's see we have oh wow

yeah crikey it looks like you can get whatever but space you want my gosh if

you stack this up with the one that's actually in the rifle you can probably

get this thing it now it says you might have to use special screws in order to

get a length of pole that's out to 16 inches or so if you're a really tall guy

now I need fourteen and a half that's my fourteen and a half inch length of pull

so I'll easily be able to get that with probably just one of these spacers the

official stats we only pull up the sheet for the 1:10 Scout indicate that the

overall length is going to be somewhere between thirty seven and a half and

thirty eight and a half inches based on what kind of space are you put in yeah I

think you're gonna be able to get more than that if you swap those screws but

yeah I should be able to get that fourteen and a half inch length of pull

no problem and I'm guessing that the shortest length of pole is gonna be

about thirteen inches we'll find out in the final review so now let's see what

other parts we have

alright there's kind of a whale sized cheek riser and this one is slightly

taller wow they included a lot of stuff in here way to go Savage I like that you

don't have to go out and buy other parts alright let's see if we can figure out

the the height hierarchy okay that one is shorter even shorter and then you

have the one that's actually attached to the rifle which is kind of flush it

doesn't have this bump right here at all and it seems to just go straight back

into the rifle so nice you get five different choices of cheek riser and

that's just right in the box that is great value for money what a great idea

so yeah there are the instructions there's the survey card and then back in

here we're gonna have the standard manual the lock and the Accu trigger

adjustment tool it's probably gonna be automatically adjusted down to its

lowest setting we'll find out about that when we test this rifle out putting it

all together let's just give this a feel see what it's like alright magazines

slots in pretty easily and it removes easily I thought that this this lever

for releasing the magazine was a little goofy that it you know it actually kind

of flopped all the way open to touch the trigger guard but I can see how that's

actually a design feature with a rifle like this where you don't want any

obstructions you don't want any bits popping out to you know a knock against

obstructions or whatever you don't want it to catch on straps so actually that's

pretty cool this magazine rattles around a little bit in the magwell

and it might be different when there is actually ammo in there but you know what

I'm gonna test something real quick I just happen to have an accurate mag

bottom metal and an accurate mag magazine okay I think this one's gonna

work really well this fits nicely that was one of the issues that we ran across

with the the savage evolution where it didn't fit every kind of magazine

exactly the same and this bottom metal actually didn't feed the or didn't fit

the MDT magazines at all but I think this one has a little bit more relief

than some of the others and it should be able to fit all the mags so we're gonna

try all of them and see how they go we got the the PMAG got this steel accurate

mag yeah we're gonna do some tests with this we're gonna I think be able to

shoot at some hogs with this and we'll be able to do some kind of practical

tests out on the range where we're shooting at targets out to the distances

where this is designed to shoot this is supposed to be anywhere from you know

really close all the way out to about 450 yards or so I think is what the the

concept calls for and it's you know of course it's meant for kind of larger

targets in general and we're gonna see how this does and all that so make sure

you subscribe to the social regressive we're going to test this a whole lot if

you've seen any of our videos in the past you know that we overdo it right

we're gonna test this rifle into a Bolivian we're gonna try it at all kinds

of ranges and most of it is going to be offhand because that's what this rifle

is designed for I probably won't ever put a bipod on it unless it's time to

sight in or test some hand loads in it and speaking of hand loads we're gonna

be doing some subsonics with this rifle the threaded muzzle we're going to

remove this muzzle break at some point we'll put on a suppressor we'll shoot

some subsonics through it and we're gonna see what kind of damage it can do

and we're gonna listen to the sound and hear what a big ol 208 grain Hornady a

mac sounds like going by a microphone yeah good stuff coming make sure you

They shout things. They make you feel different.

It's fantastic.

Falling too fast to prepare for this Tripping in the world could be dangerous

Everybody circling, it's vulturous Negative, nepotist

Everybody waiting for the fall of man Everybody praying for the end of times

Everybody hoping they could be the one I was born to run, I was born for this

Whip, whip Run me like a racehorse

Pull me like a ripcord Break me down and build me up

I wanna be the slip, slip Word upon your lip, lip

Letter that you rip, rip Break me down and build me up

Whatever it takes 'Cause I love the adrenaline in my veins

I do whatever it takes 'Cause I love how it feels when I break the chains

Whatever it takes

You take me to the top I'm ready for Whatever it takes

'Cause I love the adrenaline in my veins I do what it takes

Always had a fear of being typical Looking at my body feeling miserable

Always hanging on to the visual I wanna be invisible

Looking at my years like a martyrdom Everybody needs to be a part of 'em

Never be enough, I'm the prodigal son I was born to run, I was born for this

Whip, whip Run me like a racehorse

Pull me like a ripcord Break me down and build me up

I wanna be the slip, slip Word upon your lip, lip

Letter that you rip, rip Break me down and build me up

Whatever it takes 'Cause I love the adrenaline in my veins

I do whatever it takes 'Cause I love how it feels when I break the chains

Whatever it takes

You take me to the top, I'm ready for Whatever it takes

'Cause I love the adrenaline in my veins I do what it takes

Hypocritical, egotistical Don't wanna be the parenthetical, hypothetical

Working onto something that I'm proud of, out of the box

An epoxy to the world and the vision we've lost

I'm an apostrophe I'm just a symbol to remind you that there's

more to see I'm just a product of the system, a catastrophe

And yet a masterpiece, and yet I'm half-diseased And when I am deceased

At least I go down to the grave and die happily Leave the body and my soul to be a part of

thee I do what it takes

Whatever it takes 'Cause I love the adrenaline in my veins

I do whatever it takes 'Cause I love how it feels when I break the chains

Whatever it takes

You take me to the top, I'm ready for Whatever it takes

'Cause I love the adrenaline in my veins I do what it takes

Government Says They Aren't Responsible For Nearly 1,500 Missing Immigrant Children - Duration: 7:43.

A new report found that the United States has lost track of nearly 1,500 migrant children.

It's creating this massive humanitarian crisis in this country.

We don't know where 1,500 kids that were brought into the United States, unaccompanied minors,

supposedly given to homes to be taken care of, we don't know where 1,500 kids are.

I mean, that's insane.

That's the only word to describe it.

This is something that you would hear about if it was over in Iraq ...

A banana republic [crosstalk 00:00:35].

You know, perhaps somewhere, anywhere the third world, you [inaudible 00:00:41], "Oh,

they lost 1,500 kids, oh that's so sad.

Oh, let me change the channel here."

This is the United States, the federal government in charge of these children.

They're supposed to make sure we send them to family, we send them to friends, we send

them to legitimate foster families.

Instead, they just lost them.

They sent them off, they don't know where.

Some of them we do know have gone to human traffickers and the slave trade, actually.

The rest, we're not too sure.

Maybe they're down the street, I don't know.

The government also says, "You know what?

We're not legally responsible ..."

HHS.

Yeah, to go find these kids or keep track of them.

We got a lot going on.

Let's talk about that just a second.

First of all, you've got an organization that's put together just, it's called the ORR and

it has to do with placement of these kids.

Okay?

Now, the question becomes, how much input does the HHS have over the ORR?

You got a bunch of pinhead, you know, a bunch of bureaucrats that don't have a clue who's

taking care of what.

The ORR, the very people who place these kids, supposed to place them in homes said, "Well,

we lost track of 1,500 kids."

The HHS says, "Well, it's not our responsibility.

We're not responsible for this."

The ORR says, "Well, we're not responsible."

I mean, this is actually the argument going on with these pinhead bureaucrats right now.

It's like a bunch of children and they're sitting there saying, "Well, you touched them

last, it's your responsibility."

This is 20% of the migrant children who came into this country in 2017, 20% that they don't

know about.

Part of the issue is that the Republicans in control, one of the first things they always

do is they cut budgets.

They cut departments, they fire staff because they want to shrink the government.

Well, now we've fired people, we've cut the budgets so they can't properly do their jobs.

Instead of having this Office of Refugee Resettlement keeping track of them or HHS or hell, even

ICE at this point, everybody says, "Not my responsibility.

I rounded them up like I was supposed to.

I put them on the bus."

They could be in the slave trade, for all we know.

Right.

Interesting thing, sometimes I read these stories, I mean, I get these emails, "Pap,

why are you smiling and laughing during the very serious story?"

This is a serious story.

It is.

I have to.

Some of these stories are so ridiculous, when I look at them, my mind is thinking, "How

have we gotten here?"

That's why it's almost a laughable situation that we've become this third world banana

republic, and nobody will admit it.

This is a great example.

Exactly.

It's one of the things you never thought.

I mean, five years ago if you would have gone back in time and hand me this headline I would

have said, "Oh, this is from The Onion, of course, obviously."

No, this is what's happening.

It happened 2017, 1,500 kids somewhere out there in this country, maybe.

Yeah.

The opioid epidemic has gotten so bad in this country that shellfish, mussels from the waterways

are now testing positive for opioids, which means you might be ingesting these addictive

medications without even knowing it.

This story, this is where somebody set out, they had a suspicion that up around Elliott

Bay, around Oregon, that area through there, that the level of opioids in the water, somebody

was reporting they had taken some casual tests, so they went out and did some really spectacular

testing.

They actually tested, I don't remember exactly how many sites.

It was maybe 18 sites, eight or 18 sites, something.

Is it eight?

18.

18 sites.

They came out in three of the locations that were very close to Bremerton and Elliott Bay,

they came back and said that the Oxycontin levels were so high that they actually pose

a danger.

Now, first of all, can you imagine ... What we see in the opioid in litigation is that

there are pockets around the country where the manufacturers and distributors like McKesson

have pumped in so many pills, knowing that ... There's areas where every man, woman,

and child had access to 500 pills, man, woman, and child in areas.

This is one of those areas.

Now, what they would do is they would go to areas where there's big despair, economic

problems, job loss, economic issues that cause personal despair.

This is one of those areas.

All of a sudden, they find out, well, the level is so high they were finding oxycodone

in the shellfish.

What people need to understand here is this comes from human waste.

I know everything we flush, it goes to wastewater treatment facilities, but that's to remove

the bacteria and anything like that, and then it does, most of the case it either gets dumped

into the environment or dumped into the waterways.

When people are on opioids and there's so many in this area that this wastewater, after

being treated and dumped into Elliott Bay or nearby waterways where it goes in there,

the shellfish, the mussels, probably oysters and everything else in there, they're now

all doped up on opioids.

Yeah, and the industry is saying, "Well, we did what we were supposed to do.

We gave it to the water treatment plant."

The industry knew what they were doing.

The industry understands, for example, this next story.

This is a great story.

Pharmaceutical makers are sending so much drug-spiked water around the country, here's

what happens.

Pharmaceutical company doesn't want to pay to treat their own waste, so they give it

to the taxpayers to have to treat at the public wastewater treatment.

Well, here's the problem.

The wastewater treatment is not equipped to remove all of these drugs that these pharmaceutical

companies put in there, and so the companies know that, and the level of things like anti-fungal

drugs, anti-histamines, diabetes drugs, anti-seizure drugs are off the chart.

Muscle relaxers, blood pressure drugs, and people don't understand, these are being found

not just in the waterways, it's in the sea life.

The fish that you eat may be filled with antidepressants.

You're taking these medications and you don't know about it.

That has horrible consequences for the public.

Of course it does.

What I love about it is the industry saying, "Well, isn't that their job, the water treatment

plant?"

Well, they know it's not their job and the industry understands they're not equipped

to treat it.

Let's pass it onto taxpayers again.

Let's let taxpayers and consumers worry about our profits, that's what's happening here.

Little things I ❤ about... Alien - Duration: 6:36.

Hey, I'm Andy Kelly and these are little things I love about Alien.

I love how the Nostromo and the refinery it's towing along behind it seems to go on forever

in this shot, giving you a sense of just how massive it is.

I love these slow, lingering shots of the empty ship.

There's something wonderfully eerie about the absence of life.

I love how the silence is suddenly broken when the ship picks up the distress beacon.

I love the reflections of the computer monitors in the emergency helmets, which seem to be

silently watching over the bridge in the crew's absence.

I love the air rushing out of the hypersleep chamber when the doors open, as if we're an

archaeologist uncovering some long-sealed Egyptian tomb.

I love how blindingly white and sterile this room is compared to the rest of the ship.

I love this shot of Dallas entering the cosy, womb-like chamber of MOTHER, the ship's supercomputer.

I love everything about the bridge set.

The personal items scattered around the computer consoles.

The worn chairs hastily repaired with duct tape.

That low, claustrophobic ceiling.

"That's not our system."

It feels grimy and close and real.

"What the hell are you talking about?"

"That's not our system."

"I know that."

I love how silent and ominous the Zeta Reticuli system looks as the ship approaches.

I love this creepy little running on the spot thing Ash does.

Our first clue that something isn't quite right with him.

I love those first glimpses of the derelict and how out of place it looks in this barren,

primordial landscape.

"Ash, can you see this?"

"Yes I can."

"I've never seen anything like it."

I love how Ridley Scott used his own kids as stand-ins here to make the already massive

space jockey prop look even bigger.

"What the hell is this?"

I love this incredible matte painting of the dark and cavernous egg chamber, and how small

it makes Kane look.

I love the sudden cut from the violence of the facehugger attack to the eerie silence

of the derelict.

I love the reveal of the facehugger and the way it tightens its grip around Kane's neck

as it senses danger.

I love Ash's unusually curious reaction to Kane choking.

Almost as if he's been waiting for something to happen.

I love Veronica Cartwright's genuinely horrified reaction here as she's sprayed with way

more fake blood than she expected.

"Oh God!"

I love these gently swaying chains and how the sound of them softly

rattling punctuates the scene.

Then this shot of the alien, wreathed in shadow, swaying along with them and waiting to strike.

I love these close-ups of Jones watching curiously as Brett is killed by the alien.

"Brett!"

I love the way the air vent covers open and close like camera apertures, and the grinding,

scraping sound they make.

"Oh God, it's moving right towards you!"

I love the unbearable tension of this scene, how the beeping of the motion tracker grows

more frantic as the alien descends on Dallas.

"Move!

Get out of there!"

I love how coldly matter of fact 'crew expendable' is and Ripley's realisation

of Ash's true intent.

"There is an explanation for this, you know."

I love the contrast of Ripley's bloody nose and the strange, milky fluid leaking from

Ash, confirming our suspicions that he's not what he seems.

I love Ian Holm's twitchy, mechanical movements here and the stony, inhuman expression on

his face.

It's almost as if being forced to break Asimov's first law is causing some kind of conflict

in his programming.

I love the watery distortion of Ash's voice and his disturbing reverence for the alien.

"Perfect organism."

"Its structural perfection is matched only by its hostility."

"You admire it."

"I admire its purity."

I love this shot of the alien rising slowly into frame and how it seems to be studying

or toying with Lambert.

I love the way the alien's tail snakes suggestively between Lambert's legs, which is quietly one

of the most disturbing images in whole film.

I love the use of flashing lights and steam here to make us feel just as panicked and

disorientated as Ripley.

I love this long reverse tracking shot of Ripley making her way to the shuttle, her

face lit by the flamethrower.

I love how the alien hides in plain sight, blending in with these ducts and wires.

"This is Ripley, last survivor of the Nostromo, signing off."

Hilarious New Nickname For Obama ... - Duration: 13:02.

Hilarious New Nickname For Obama Library Instantly Goes Viral – Michelle's Furious

Barack Obama has always been his own worst enemy because he simply cannot control his

ego.

It's too big.

Case in point: Obama's Presidential library in Chicago which has a hilarious new nickname

from Chicago reporter John Kass.

From The Chicago Tribune:

Chicago may not have enough cops to patrol the streets, taxes are going up and residents

are fleeing for safety and jobs.

But you really can't say City Hall ignores the important things.

The Barack Obama Temple of Adoration and Fealty is important.

It's vitally important to Mayor Rahm Emanuel and aldermen seeking re-election, whether

taxpayers like it or not.

The Barack Obama Temple of Adoration and Fealty…

Ouch you know that one hurt Barack Obama.

Kass continues:

Emanuel said the project, most of it privately funded — though it'll be on priceless

free parkland including a killer golf course — will cost around $750 million.

And there will likely be other public costs on top of that $175 million in taxpayer money

for street improvements.

A bargain at any price, no?

It's not a presidential library, as it won't hold the presidential papers.

But as a temple to a political god, it's perfect.

What it really needs is a giant Obama head carved in granite on top, with glowing eyes

to focus beams of social warrior justice where needed in the city of his political birth.

The mayor and aldermen keep calling it a library.

Rahm wants that big hug from big O.

Perhaps someday we may all purchase Obama tchotchkes there — even the poor who'll

be moved out when rents go up.

Presidential golf clubs or a Michelle Obama vegetable peeler for nutritious school lunches

would be nice.

But you know what would really be great?

A snow globe with a tiny Obama and a tiny former CIA boss John Brennan, whispering about

how best to protect the republic.

Too good…

If you agree with John Kass help this go viral and share it everywhere.
