Competing at the Olympic Games requires an absolute sacrifice.
For women, that sacrifice is even bigger.
I sacrificed everything for 12 straight years.

The story of "The Caribbean Girls" is, without a doubt,
one of the most compelling in Cuban Olympic history.
In 1978, at the World Championship,
playing against Japan,
the so-called "Oriental Witches"
were defeated by the Cuban team
which became known as "The Caribbean Girls".
That victory became such a sensation that Cuba's
revolutionary leader, Fidel Castro,
gave the team full governmental support.
Thanks to our political system, which is our main sponsor,
allowed us to focus on achieving our goal.
"The Caribbean Girls" became more than a team -
a legend was being forged,
a symbol that went beyond volleyball.
We won our first Games in Barcelona '92.
Cuba hadn't participated in Los Angeles '84 and Seoul '88,
so our generation was really eager to win medals
and we did everything we could to win.
Our motivation for winning was our country.
Cubans love sports,
and our victories brought joy to our people.
Our commitment, other than to our families and our country,
was to the leader of the Revolution.
He always fought for us, to make us better.
He would ask what our goal was and we would reply "winning",
because we represent the Cuban people.
Some people might not understand it,
but those living in Cuba in those difficult years
can understand it very well.
The people needed some sort of joy -
that was our motivation at that time.
They needed it.
In Atlanta, the team was more mature -
there were some changes but we had a strong foundation.
There was a hair salon inside the Olympic village.
We all wanted to look good for the cameras
because the Games were televised.
We wanted to have good hair.
We became distracted,
and we lost our focus.
Our coach got really angry.
He said that wasn't normal
and that he'd lost hope that we'd win gold.
That made us worry.
The Brazilians had prepared very well.
They knew our weaknesses,
and were there to win the gold medal.
It is well known what went down.
That match became more important than the final.
20 years later, people still talk about it.
It was a very tough match because they were so close.
In the end we won
and went on to play the final against China.
Imagine, both teams wanted the medal,
the Brazilians weren't happy, a fight broke out.
But in the end, we won a spectacular match,
a beautiful and tightly contested match.
After the game against Brazil, we were very excited.
Our coach became worried.
The Olympic Games were not over yet,
we still have to play against China
which is as good as Brazil and could beat us.
When you sacrifice so much
and achieve as much as we did,
it tastes like glory.
It's worth all the sacrifices as a teenager and as a woman.
I'd do it again.
Some people think that athletes' lives are easy,
but they aren't.
I didn't have the chance to become a mother,
but I've achieved other things,
which would've been difficult to accomplish if I had chosen
to become a mother, because I would've lost valuable time.
You owe yourself to the team.
Getting pregnant was a big responsibility.
You can't damage the team. All of that must be sacrificed.
The sport goes first.
"The Caribbean Girls" represented
women of the third world in developing countries
as well as Cuban women.
Simple women, of very humble origins, almost all were black.
We represent the strength of Cuban women.
We were the face of Cuba abroad.
We were the ambassadors of Cuba.
They are a symbol for Cuba.
They brought international prestige to Cuban sports
and to Cuban women.
We became role models as women and as a team.
My team was known to have strong women.
We played aggressively.
We were very temperamental, moody, nobody liked to lose.
Those two things combined were explosive.
Cuban women have always been aggressive and feisty.
That aggressiveness was necessary because there were
great teams that pushed us to the limit on every game,
so we had to be aggressive.
When they looked at my face, without me saying a word,
they'd realise they couldn't beat me.
I try to teach my athletes that same aggressiveness,
the perseverance and fighting spirit
that we had on the court.
The aggressiveness in the jump, the power of the attack...
Those were concepts shared by all of us
and we try to pass that on to the new generations.
Eugenio George, our coach, was like a father to us.
He trained us to play hard
but also taught us to be feminine.
We played like men, but after the game we were ourselves.
Feminine, modest, fragile, delicate, with many virtues.
Despite the toughness of training,
you have to preserve your essence as a woman.
He taught us how to project our femininity,
how to wear make-up, how to dress, even how to walk.
He made us read so we could express ourselves better.
He wanted us to dress up and be elegant,
so we'd go around turning heads.
He wanted people to notice the Cuban team.
We owe so much to that great man, because he made us
what we are, what we were.
Our coach used to say
that we defended our country in the trenches of sport.
By defending our colours,
respecting each other,
looking after yourself, as a human being, as a woman.
We are like family -
that's what Eugenio taught us.
Every now and then we all get together,
we are always connected.
We always find a way to gather "The Caribbean Girls"
from the first to the last.

Should Trump Throw Him in Jail?
The Iranian nuclear deal withdrawal has been causing problems all throughout the nation
and the international arena.
While most Americans are happy we are leaving this disaster of an agreement some of our
allies have maintained they will remain in the agreement.
And it does not help that former Secretary of State John Kerry tried interfering by meeting
with Iranian officials just days before the withdrawal was announced.
The Conservative Post reported,
"Imagine if a former Bush Admin official had done something like this during Obama's
presidency?
It has now been confirmed that former Secretary of State John Kerry went behind the Trump
Administration's back and negotiated over the Obama-brokered Iran nuclear deal just
last month.
President Trump was expected to pull America out of the Iran deal, which he called one
of the worst he'd ever seen, as his own self-imposed deadline of May 12 approached.
Kerry, one of the chief architects behind the deal, naturally sees this as an assault
on his legacy.
What he apparently fails to understand is that he's no longer secretary of state,
and to negotiate on behalf of the United States as though he were is tantamount to treason,
or, at the very least, criminal misrepresentation.
After all, I, as a private citizen, can't just hop over to Canada and start negotiating
with their government on behalf of the White House.
It should go without saying that the Iranians miss Barack Obama and John Kerry, and so had
no problem skirting the Trump Administration on this matter.
"We don't see the US just as Mr. Trump; the United States is not just the current
ruling administration and there are many figures who have different views on international
and regional issues," said Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi."
This is nothing less than shadow diplomacy.
John Kerry was caught through photographic evidence meeting with Iranian diplomats to
try and save the former Administrations disastrous deal.
He met with Foreign Minister Javad Zarif in New York City as well as French President
Emmanuel Macron and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
These meetings took place after Israeli Prime Minister announced to the United States that
Iran was revealed to be not abiding by the terms of the nuclear deal.
The Blaze reported,
"Jason Osborne, who is a former senior adviser to President Donald Trump's campaign, tweeted
a photo of Kerry leaving a meeting at a fancy restaurant in Paris on Saturday.
According to Osborne, whose friend was apparently sitting next to Kerry, the former secretary
of state was meeting with three Iranians.
The Iranians reportedly had a security detail and left the restaurant in diplomatic vehicles.
At the end of his tweet, Osborne questioned if Kerry is "FARA registered," a reference
to the Foreign Agents Registration Act.
FARA requires U.S. residents and businesses working in the interest of foreign powers
to register with the federal government as "foreign agents."
The answer to Osborne's question is unknown, and it's unclear if Kerry would need to
register given he is a former secretary of state.
It's also not clear what Kerry was discussing with the Iranians.
After all, Trump ended the Iranian nuclear deal this week.
Still, there were questions last week over whether Kerry violated the Logan Act — an
18th century law that prohibits U.S. citizens from engaging in discussions with foreign
governments "with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government"
or "to defeat the measures of the United States" — when he met with the diplomats.
Others have amounted Kerry's actions to "collusion," a charge Democrats routinely
levy at Trump."
The nuclear deal was flawed in a multitude of different ways.
It did not explicitly prohibit Iran from building nuclear weapons, despite the fact that they
are the world's leading state sponsor of terror.
Instead, it allowed them to continue to maintain their current nuclear infrastructure.
Moreover, it did not cut them off by the purse strings.
What it did was ease economic sanctions and allow them to maintain the funds they needed
to continue their ballistic missile program.
Whether John Kerry is charged with any crime or not what he did was very shady and gives
off the appearance of collusion and illegal activity.
The Obama administration is no longer in power and those who belonged to the administration
need to accept it.
Their time has come, it has passed, and it is over.
Move on.
Because what they are doing is not in the best interests of the United States

It's a small village of about 1600 inhabitants
Located in the west coast of Australia
At approximatly 200 Km north from Perth
in which it happened and there are currently many things and it's what we're going to talk about today

The 21th March 1999 the tropical cyclone
hit the village which has created important floods
and the evacuation of 1000 people
After this story
Moora rebuilds itself stronger because he becomes the most important village between perth and grealdton
because he owns banks, shops, a pharmacy, a dentist, an hospital and schools
it's been a few weeks now that dozens of signs Save Moora College are born every day
because the college is going to closed at the end of the school year ..
You have to know that the college does not belong to the government
but to private owners
and the problem is here because they decided to move to another Australian state
and it's why the should sell the college
and that's where the problems start
because to run the moora college you have to pay 313.000$ / year
and the renovation bill would be about less than 500.000$
but .. what think the government about that ?
The government said that he can't buy the college arguing that the cost of reparations and renovations
would rise to 8.700.000$
and it does not stop there because the government refuses to allow an appraiser to access the property to do an independent review
would the government try to hide behind a large sum of money in order to get rid of their responsibility?
unfortunately only time will tell us
this seemingly insignificant decision to close the college will have a lasting impact on the 27 regional families that depend on it
but also on education, housing, local government and the attraction of qualified people on farms and businesses
the quality and limited choice of education means that men are left alone on farm
while women and children are forced to relocate because they place a lot of importance on the future of their children

Hall Elevens I do try to take out that Eagle artillery if at all possible
because it does do a lot of damage and as you can see it's this

STRANGEST animals you did not know Existed! - Duration: 10:12.
Animals are pretty amazing.
Their antics, beauty, ferociousness all make us marvel at the wonder of nature.
But then there are a few animals who are simply so different that they make us think if God
was playing a practical joke!
Lets take a look at some of the weirdest animals.
22.
Axolotl.
Considering that they look straight out of a comic book designed by a stoned artist,
there are also other weird things that the axolotl is known for.
Its common name, the Mexican walking fish might give you a clue!
They are actually small salamanders found near Mexico city but considering that it is
an endangered species, you might spot many of them.
The axolotl can even regrow its limbs, has lidless eyes and comes in white and black colours!

Yeti Crab.
Crabs are generally associated with their red claws.
But the kiwa hirsute, or the yeti crab, was discovered in 2005 and they actually have
fur on their legs and claws!
And although it might not be related to their fur, but they are almost blind.
And the hair is not all for show either.
It contains filamentous bacteria which helps remove the poisonous minerals from the waters
where it lives!

Anglerfish.
These fish are ugly, to say the least.
But they are also very smart.
They have a small protrusion in the head which they wiggle about to attract other fish which
think of them as bait.
And then the hunter becomes the prey as the anglerfish proceed to kill those fish!
Also they are kind of bi-sexual in nature.
When observed, it seemed as if the anglerfish had parasites attached to them but further
inspection revealed that the parasites were in fact remains of male ceratoids!

Pangolin.
Anteaters and armadillos are both fascinating creatures.
Imagine if they ever had a baby together!
That would look like the pangolin.
It is an oddly shaped mammal with a protective keratin shell and is the only mammal known
to have one!
Which is what unfortunately makes it a very rare and unique catch for traffickers and
sadly, the pangolin is today a threatened species.

Frill neck Lizard.
When you think of dinosaurs, lizards are actually the one animal which come pretty close to
them.
And it seems evolution obviously forgot a few things when it was working on the frill
neck lizard.
Also known as the frilled dragon, this lizard has a large amount of extra skin around its
head which are supported by long spines of cartilage.
And when the lizard is threatened, this skin flares out and makes the lizard look pretty
dangerous.
And not just that, when it is running at full speed, it runs on 2 legs which makes it look
even more alarming!

Dumbo Octopus.
Perhaps these octopus were inspired the Disney flying elephant as they have ear like fins
protruding from their heads.
It kind of makes it look cute but they are not easy to spot.
They are extremely rare and found mostly at extreme depths in open ocean, unlike other
octopus.
Their skin is transparent, but they can make it flush at will and that adds to their intrigue
factor!

Angora Rabbit.
Looking at these rabbits, you would really wonder if there was extra fur lying around
which they decided to put on!
The angora rabbits have very long and soft hair, and were very popular pets among the
French royalty in the mid 1700s.
And as they really have very good hair, they are also reared in some places to make wool!

Tasmanian Tiger.
Is it a dog?
Is it a tiger?
Take your guess!
Or well, you might not be able to as the Tasmanian tiger became extinct in the 20th century.
These animals belonged to the Australian continent although they had been extinct from everywhere
except the Tasmanian island even before Europeans came into Australia.
Since then, the gradually decreasing habitat and hunts have made them extinct!

Platypus.
Of all the creatures in the world, perhaps no one will be able to match the weirdness
of the platypus.
It is technically a mammal but lays eggs and stays mostly in the water!
Not to mention that they have the bill of a duck on their face.
Which is the reason why scientists think it is an important link in evolution and why
it has appeared as a mascot for Australia on many occasions!

Narwhal.
When you think of whales, you generally do not associate them with tusks.
That is until you meet the narwhal, which is a type of white whale.
They are instantly recognizable because of their long and heavy tusks which can be up
to 10 feet long and 22 pounds heavy!
Since its natural habitat is in the Arctic sea, scientists believe that the purpose of
the tusk was to break the ice but turns out that is not the only purpose.
The males with the longer tusks get to mate more often!
Guess size does matter!

Leafy Sea Dragon.
If you see a drifting sea weed, you might want to think twice about picking it up because
you could end up with a leafy sea dragon in your hand!
It has green, orange and golden hues on its body and is covered with leaf like appendages
which actually serve as a good camouflage!
They have no teeth or stomach and feed exclusively on mysidopsis shrimp and the good news is
that the Australian government has actually given them a protected status since 1982!

Glowing Sea Turtles.
Shiny and glowy things are always amazing to look at.
And while there are some animals which are known to produce a glow from time to time,
a recent discovery revealed a fascinating new turtle.
It was the first glowing reptile ever found and biologists think that the bioluminescence
is a way for them to communicate with each other!

Glass Frog.
Many of us might have spent time dissecting a frog to see what its inside looks like!
Which might be what prompted the Diane's bare hearted glass frog to evolve.
These frogs are a recent discovery and the most startling fact about them is that their
underside is translucent, so you can pretty much see all of its organs with the naked
eye!
Although you will have to have a 20-20 vision, because these guys are just about an inch
long!

Sunfish.
When you go fishing, you probably hope to get a nice big catch!
But you might just have a little more on your hands than you want if you happen to catch
the sun fish!
They are the heaviest bony fish in the world and can weigh around 2 tons!
Try reeling that in!
The fish is found mostly in temperate and tropical waters around the world and true
to their love for fish, the Japs, Koreans and Taiwanese consider the sun fish a delicacy!

Saiga Antelope.
Found mainly in Russia, Kazakhastan and Uzbekistan, you might be forgiven for thinking that this
antelope has a major disease.
The Saiga antelopes have a large and flexible nose which kind of looks like a snail is sitting
on their face!
But this giant nose helps them filter out dust and regulate temperatures as well!
Unfortunately, over 120,000 saiga antelopes were found dead recently because of an epizootic
illness.

Gharial.
Looking at this creature, it might look like someone was trying to make a crocodile and
forgot what it was supposed to look like when it came to the head.
The gharial is a large reptile that has a long and thin snout, but don't think that
that makes it any less dangerous.
There are 110 teeth in that snout and it is estimated that only 235 of these creatures
are alive today, and all of them in the Indian waterways!

Red Lipped Batfish.
If you ever want to see what an angry fish looks like, just do a search for the red lipped
batfish.
They are found mostly in the Galapagos islands and they look like a child painted a lip on
them.
No wonder they look so angry!
And that's not the only thing weird about it.
They also have a horn and are usually found walking on the ocean floor rather than swimming!
Guess if you got it, you should flaunt it!
5.
The Bush Viper.
If you happen to find yourself face to face with the bush viper, you would be easily forgiven
for thinking you are having some sort of alien dream.
These snakes are found in the trees of Western and central Africa's rainforests and they
can actually change the colour of their scales to match the surroundings and become very
hard to spot.
Thankfully, they live very far away from human settlements usually which is actually a very
good thing because their poison is very dangerous and fatal to humans with no known antidote!

Aye Aye.
Gross and disgusting will be the first words that will come into anyone's minds as they
look at the aye aye.
These animals are found mainly in Madagascar and they are primates, which means that they
are closely related to us!
The tail of the aye aye is longer than its body and they have large eyes and ears and
are found on the top of trees, and never really want to come down from them!
They are also pretty sensitive to sound and use echolocation along with tapping trees
with their fingers to figure out where insects are by sound!

Streaked Tenrec.
So what would you get if a porcupine ran into a crazy hair designer?
The streaked tenrec!
These little creatures are found in Madagascar and are actually mammals covered in spines.
Except that the spines are yellow which kind of makes its very intriguing!
Oh, and they also make insect like chirping sounds for some reason!

Okapi.
So if you were making a zebra and kind of got tired mid way through the stripes, you
would get an okapi!
Although they make look like a cross between a zebra and a horse, the okapi are actually
related to giraffes and are found in the Congo region.
In fact, so weird is the okapi that it was thought to be a myth until it was discovered
by scientists in 1900! Okapis are known to prefer solitude and they communicate by making
sounds we can't hear.
Which is a good thing, considering that they are on the verge of extinction!

Put in parts of different animals like the kangaroo's tail, pig's face and rabbit's
ear, and you get an aardvark!
Found mainly in sub-saharan Africa, the aardvark are nomadic, following ants and termites,
making holes for homes along the way which get turned into nests for porcupines and warthogs,
once they abandon it!

Instead of assisting their royal grandmother with her duties, Princess Eugenie and Princess
Beatrice have carved out more normal careers for themselves in their respective industries.
According to a 2016 Harper's Bazaar profile, Princess Eugenie works as an associate director
at a London-based contemporary-art gallery.
Beatrice, is a career girl, as well.
"Beatrice York" is the Vice President of Partnerships and Strategy for Afiniti, an artificial intelligence
firm which makes software for call centers.
Royal graffiti
You've probably never thought you'd see the words "royal" and "graffiti" together, but
here we are — and for a good cause, to boot!
In 2016, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, along with their mother, Sarah "Fergie" Ferguson,
teamed up with contemporary British artist, Teddy M, to create "Royal Love" — the first
piece of "royal graffiti."
The collaboration was an effort to benefit the U.K. charity Children in Crisis, an organization
which aims to make improvements in education for some of the world's most impoverished
children.
Beatrice the triathlete
Princess Beatrice wants you to know that she isn't just your run-of-the-mill princess,
thank you very much.
She told The Telegraph in 2005 interview,
"I don't see myself as a stereotypical princess, so people often expect one thing when they
first meet me and I give them another."
So what all does not being a stereotypical princess entail?
Well, for one thing, don't expect to find Princess Beatrice patiently waiting for her
Prince Charming to come to her rescue.
Instead, you can find this princess outside — climbing and conquering mountains for
charity.
Princess Beatrice climbed the highest peak of the Alps in 2012 as a part of a fundraising
project for The Big Change — a charity she, along with six of her friends, founded.
Four years later in 2016, Princess Beatrice conquered another mountain for the charity,
hiking up Mount Etna in Sicily after swimming two miles, biking more than 80 miles, and
running a half marathon.
Nicely done, Princess!
