campeón del Tour de Francia en 2014 y vencedor de la Vuelta a España en 2010 le daría mucha más relevancia de la que ya tiene.

Today's video - Self Publishing Cost. So if you want to connect with readers and

sell more books, make sure to subscribe and get new content to your inbox every

Tuesday. But in this video, I'm going to be sharing how to go about calculating

self-publishing costs, so that you can start on your budget early! I was

recently a part of a workshop panel and this question kept coming up over and

over again... how much does it really cost to self publish a book? So in this video,

I'm going to be giving you an idea of some of the things that you have to

factor in as far as cost. No one can tell you exactly how much it's going to cost

in order for you to self publish your book, because there's so many different

factors that goes into it. Such as... who you choose for an editor your graphic

designer, the length of your book, and there's just so many different things

that go into the cost. But in this video I plan to share with you all of the

different expenses that you will or possibly incur as a result of

self-publishing so that you can begin your budget.

Depending on your preference and final vision for your book, you'll either need

to purchase stock photos for your book cover or hire a professional

photographer to shoot the cover for your book. You will also need to hire a

graphic designer to design your book cover. Aside from your book cover editing

your book is one of those areas where you don't want to skimp, so you want to

find an editor that is qualified to do the work and also be mindful not to

choose editors based on price. As the self-published author its also going to

be your responsibility to copyright your book. So that's also another cost that

you want to include in your budget. And an ISBN so an ISBN is a nine digit number

that identifies your book. So why you definitely can typeset your book in

softwares like Microsoft Word, there are people that will provide the service for

you so you also may need to include this in your budget. Whether you choose to

hire someone to create your website or use a free platform such as WordPress or

Blogger there are still costs associated. Such as domain registration, as well as

hosting. Depending on the company that you choose to go with there are going to

be some costs associated with proof copies and setup costs and also your

initial first-run. So you have to make a decision on how many books you want to initially

start with, so that if you go to a book signing or you're just selling books from

your website, you're gonna have to purchase those books (at cost) and then

sell them to your customer. So miscellaneous items that you're probably

not including in your budget... So you definitely want to include them as well

such as book release parties, shipping and packaging materials, table dressing,

book stands, and things of that nature. So you definitely want to include those in

your budget as well. Now the things that I'm going to talk about next are

entirely optional, but some authors choose to purchase advertising for

social media and magazines and radio. As well as hiring marketing and PR firms to

assist with your book projects. If you decide to go with promotional items such

as posters and business cards and flyers all of those items are going to have

in the car next to me and I don't want to seem awkward but um I have to go find

my cookies but I don't know where they are in this store my mom kind of told me

but like I don't go to these stores so I really know anything so yeah

I got my cookies I was a little nervous because I didn't find them at first but I just

kept walking and then I found them so yay

they weren't where my mom said they would be so I was like oh I was near all the other

I was near all the other like pillsbury stuff so it was like they don't have

them but I looked online and they did so I was confused they were just in different

spot so now I'm gonna go home and I'm gonna put them in the oven now I'm back

from the store and I got the cookies right here yeah I'm gonna make them

this oven scares me like actually

I don't understand how it works it's not normal, it's really not and I don't want to blow up

the house so we will wait for my mom to do it

so now I'm just gonna wait for them to cook so it's gonna be like 10 minutes yeah

Giving Voice to a Foxtrot from Auschwitz-Birkenau - Duration: 5:45.

>>I've been working in archives, researching musical manuscripts for about 40 years.

And I heard that there were musical manuscripts in the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, so

naturally I was very curious what they might be like.

It had to be the extreme irony attracted me specifically to this foxtrot,

Die schönste Zeit des Lebens, which is The Most Beautiful Time of Life.

It's based on a song by a very popular German film composer, Franz Grothe.

It has a text and it's about falling in love in the month of May.

[Music continues]

>>In Auschwitz-Birkenau, the purpose of the orchestras was actually to bring the workers

back into camp and have them leave, so they played mostly in the morning and the evening.

Musically, the best music to get people to walk are marches.

[Music, Alte Kameraden]

>>Another function of the Auschwitz orchestra was to play a concert in front of the commandant's

villa, in front of Höss' villa on Sunday.

And this was for the SS personnel.

It was about a 3-hour concert that was broken up into stages, and at one point they had

a dance band, so that soldiers could dance.

Given the instrumentation of this foxtrot, I think that's probably what it was used for.

It's for 14 players, so it's scaled down.

9 violins.

A viola.

A trombone.

2 clarinets.

And a tuba.

I contacted Oriol Sans with the Contemporary Directions Ensemble.

And he was immediately very enthusiastic about the idea, not only of presenting it in a concert,

but also of the process of recording it.

>>And it's really wonderful that at a place like University of Michigan that we have

the capacity to do something like this.

To not only find the performers but also be able to go into a recording studio and have

a recording that will be used by the archives at Auschwitz-Birkenau.

>>This recording is really highly significant.

We're bringing this thing to life.

We're hearing exactly - well, as close as possible,

how it sounded in Auschwitz I in 1943.

This foxtrot, Die schönste Zeit des Lebens, it's written out by hand

by three different prisoners.

Two of them signed their prisoner numbers at the end, so you can research exactly who

these men were.

And they have very small numbers like 5665 or 5131.

And that's because they were Polish political prisoners who were arrested and brought to

Auschwitz I, the main camp, very early.

And one of those who was a copyist is Antoni Gargul.

His number's 5665, and he was a violist.

But he was also a Polish soldier.

5131 is Maksymilian Piłat.

He was a professional musician and he had a conservatory degree and he was a bassoonist.

The third arranger, who has a very different handwriting, that I've become quite attached

to I must say – we're not sure who he is.

I've been trying to research possible prisoners and trying to get a sampling of their handwriting.

So I've been working with Joshua DeVries.

What he's been doing is taking these scans of the musical manuscripts and transcribing

them into printed notation.

>>As a music theorist, there have been some interesting moments in creating this foxtrot.

There were some wrong notes that had come up in the originals.

I think that's because there wasn't an original score,

that the copyists were just creating parts.

And when you can't visualize something or see something completely vertically, often

wrong notes in the harmonies are going to happen.

So it was one of my jobs to go through and try and figure out

what some of the right notes were.

The way that the music modulated to different keys that brought in new verses and new choruses,

it was the transitions that were really interesting.

The verses and the choruses in these songs, everyone knew, but the 2-measure bits in between

them allowed them to bring in just a little bit of their own touch at times.

Thinking back, I would think that that kind of gave them a little bit of escape and

let them kind of remember their time before the camp.

Because these were truly wonderful and talented musicians whose lives or careers were often

cut short or at least delayed by their time in these camps.

outside or actually no it is cold outside so something like this is great

for the winter I'm sure. all right so the next thing I have in here is the L'Oreal

Paris pure clay mask detox and Brighten 3 pure plays and charcoal. Results in 10 minutes. the next thing

is a Garnier Fructis a smoothing treat one minute hair mask

avocado extract so I have a lot of hair so sometimes these little packages they

send aren't enough for me.

but, i guess it's enough for me to put on my hair and see how it works. one last thing they have the hello fresh, cook up a fresh start

subscription services or food delivery recipe deliveries but it sounds pretty good.
