Hurricane Harvey was the worst hurricane Texas has seen in over 50 years and Houston was
one of the hardest hit areas with massive flooding as a result.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R), warned Houston residents that regardless of an official evacuation
order, "you need to strongly consider evacuating."
Yet, according to The Weather Channel, Houston's Mayor Sylvester Turner (D), called for everyone
to stay put, resulting in six deaths and trapping 7 million people in their homes.
Hurricane Harvey has unleashed massive flooding in Houston.
Some areas are estimated to have fifty inches of rain and the US Army Corps of Engineers
is struggling to relieve the pressure on local dams that could see levees break, a terrifying
recreation of what happened in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina.
According to The Washington Post on Friday, when the hurricane was predicted to make landfall
over the weekend, Governor Abbott encouraged citizens of the Houston area to pack up and
leave.
"Even if an evacuation order hasn't been issued by your local official, if you're
in an area between Corpus Christi and Houston, you need to strongly consider evacuating.
What you don't know, and what nobody else knows right now, is the magnitude of flooding
that will be coming," he said.
City officials in Houston quickly rejected the warning, telling residents to stay put.
Mayor Turner made this statement shortly after Abbott's warning: "There are a number
of people who are in Hurricane Harvey's direct path, and evacuation orders have been
given to them.
But for the Houston area… this is a rainmaker for us.
There's no need for people to be thinking about putting themselves in greater danger."
Francisco Sanchez, Emergency Management Spokesperson for Harris County quickly sided with the mayor
on twitter: "Local officials know best.
Houston has no evacuation order.
In Harris County: very limited to select communities.
LOCAL LEADERS KNOW BEST."
Now that the floods have ravaged the city, Abbott has stated that more than 250 highways
in Texas are closed, making evacuation from Houston incredibly difficult as the storms
are expected to continue this week.
Despite the danger to citizens trapped inside their homes and shelters, Turner defends his
decision.
"You can't put 6.5 million people on the roads," he said, referring to the decision
not to evacuate shortly before the hurricane hit.
Kathleen Blanco, former Louisiana governor who was in office when Hurricane Katrina hit
New Orleans, says the city officials of Houston should have taken the threat more seriously
and were completely unprepared for the areas they did decide to evacuate.
She criticized them, in particular, for their lack of action in those areas predicted to
have the worst flooding before the hurricane and have now received the worst of the flooding.
"It's not apparent to us watching that they developed a sensible evacuation formula,"
Blanco said.
"You have to allow people in the southernmost regions to get out the quickest.
You can't tell everyone to leave at the same time or you end up with gridlock, especially
in a big urban center."
Texas state officials including the governor, and federal officials including President
Trump, urged Houstonians to evacuate in preparation for Hurricane Harvey's landfall, yet the
mayor of Houston told residents to "stay put."
Was the mayor attempting to create a political crisis by misleading Houstonians?
The National Weather Service has warned of "additional catastrophic, unprecedented
and life threatening flooding" for the rest of this week and standing flash-flood emergency
broadcasts are in place for the entire southeast Texas area.
Our prayers go out to those still stranded and affected by the flooding.
Hopefully, city officials will acknowledge their mistakes to this point and cooperate
with state and federal authorities so this disaster can be minimized.

sucks but did they give me like two or three kills so I was happy about that

basically today we're gonna be talking about the second weekend of the world
war 2 beta now I want you guys in the comments down below to tell me what you
think about the beta honestly I really really enjoyed myself playing it now
that could be because this is a new code duty something that we haven't seen yet
or is it because we're back on boots on the ground and it's a new Call of Duty
for that or I really don't know it's just it was really really fun to play

they put a lot of time into this game I don't know but I enjoyed it a lot way
more than I did the infinite warfare beta way more than I probably did even
the black ops 3 beta a little bit I don't know they're both kind of equal

than the black ops 3 beta I can't lie only part of that I don't like is that
this game is super super hard it's so hard to get on

then they stopped now it was kind of weird I know they were gonna put any
more because there's no way 25 is such a weird number to stop at it's not an even
number in my opinion but it's just it's just weird you know stop a something
like that for a beta that's gonna go on for two weeks so obviously they're gonna
make it more and they're gonna raise it up to 40 which is a lot lot more I'm not
gonna lie I was expecting 35 but 40 is a lot so yeah tell me what you guys think
about that tell me if you guys think that's a good thing or bad thing I don't
know I don't want him to expose everything they have for the game yet I
was hoping at least like maybe you know maybe 35 yeah I thought that was gonna
be the max for the beta on the second week but taking it to 40 which is really
really good guys are not gonna like this it gets me more excited because think
about it more new killstreaks new weapons more and more new division
training or perks basically and I already got all my provisions leveled up
so I'm gonna be going in with the classes best believe that and yeah
there's a whole lot of stuff coming also I really wanted to get into that chopper
gunner that I was talking about if you guys don't know there's a chopper gunner
in this game but they didn't show it to us here they let us play with it yet the
only really big kill tree we got to play with as a paratroopers but yeah guys so

guys looking forward to what new thing are you looking forward to unlock in my
opinion I want to see this Thompson being back in that game I want to see
them let us unlock the Thompson and play with it because I know it's in there
I've seen gameplay from I think it was like III or something like that and I
really really want to play with it because it's just it
Thompson and I like that shit goes in but yeah guys so uh again I want to see
what you guys are interested in that's what I'm mainly hard for it's a Thompson

also just want to see you know mainly fishing the internet connection of bugs
and all that type of stuff I want to see that as well and yeah I also want to see
them buff the paratroopers a little bit more cuz I might use it I might use like
three high score six in one game on Dom and see if I could go in with them but
yeah guys that's basically I just wanted to tell you guys that these are the new
things coming to world war two next week for sure for sure the only legitimate
thing we have is the forty level cap but that's it we don't know if anything else
is coming but we do know that there are a lot of scorsees in the game and a lot
of weapons that we've seen from e3 that are probably gonna be in the beta next

hey it's Abby and today I'm going to be talking about our organized junk drawers
in our last house we had a little desk in our kitchen that held all the things
we needed like pens, pencils, all the boys items that they needed for school and
when we moved into this house we didn't have anything like that so last year all
during the school year whenever we needed something we were running up to
my office to get it or running down to Donnie's tools to get it and so before
school started this year I wanted to make sure I put together the drawers
that had everything we needed in it so we wouldn't be running all over the

so I recently rearranged our kitchen a little bit and that gave me these two
drawers free to turn into our junk drawers and I love this project because
it's simple just about anybody can do it so I will walk you through the process I
went through to get these drawers neat and organized so the first thing I did
is sat down and I made a list of everything that we might want to keep
inside these drawers I had to know what I was working with and what kind of
space I had the next thing I did was measure the drawers so that I could
figure out what types of inserts or organizers that I could put inside let's
take a look at what I came up with
as you can see I put a drawer liner in the drawer just to make it a little
prettier and then I found these acrylic organizers these are actually from
Target and they were in the makeup section but I love them because they had
all different sections of different shapes and sizes where I could organize
my items but you could use organizers from just about anywhere you could cut
the bottoms off of cereal boxes and use those to organize you could go to the
dollar store and get little organizers whatever will fit the dimensions of your
drawers will work for organizing your stuff
once I had gathered up all of my different items and decided where they
were going to go inside my organizers I also made some labels for the bottoms of
the acrylic organizer so everybody in the house knows where everything goes
and they can put it back in the right spot
so the contents of your drawers might look a lot different from ours but here
are the things that we decided on that would be helpful to have in a central
location in our house so we always have access to them this drawer has a folder
with all of our boys school information in it anything that we might need to
access quickly goes in here so we can reach it then there is this organizer
with a couple of different items we have a multi-tool so we can use these
different screwdrivers if we're doing little projects around the house it's
also a flashlight so we can grab that quickly if we need it we have scissors
and whiteout so just some basic office supplies also rubber bands post-its and
tape this other drawer has more of our supplies we are always measuring things
I'm moving things around the house we always need measuring tape and we're
running down to Donnie's office or up to my office to get them and so we have a
measuring tape right here we'll always have it when we need it now
a stapler as well as stamps I feel like we are always out of stamps so I bought a
big roll we're keeping it in here we'll always have stamps when we need them
another thing that was kind of a thorn in my side were Box Tops we collect box
tops for our school but I didn't have anywhere, a designated place where I
could put them so I was always losing them or I could never find them when it
was time to turn them in so we have a spot just for them we can cut them out
put them in there and then time to send them into school we just
gather them up and send them in I also want to make sure we had a couple of
different types of writing utensils we use sharpies a lot to label the boys
items their sweatshirts or even you know their little pencil boxes or anything
that we're sending into school and needs to have their name on it so we have
sharpies for that we have pencils so the boys can grab them quickly for homework
and then pens for filling out checks or paperwork or any information that we
need a pen for that and then finally the last thing that we kept in our little
organizers were batteries of the most common types that we use in the items that
we have in this area of the house so we don't have to run around the house
looking for them anymore they're all right here and we can keep those stocked
and easily see when we're running low and need to get more so this system is
super simple like I said anybody can do it
but it will be a huge help this year during the school year to have all of
these things on hand easily where we can reach them often times with a junk drawer
you think of drawers that are overflowing and really cluttered and
stuffs falling out so it's really important to me to make sure that these
drawers were pretty they weren't jam-packed and full of
stuff so we could easily see everything that's in here
they look nice when we open it and it's easy to get to all of our items. Let me

That's according to Kaveh Solhekol who was giving a transfer update on Sky Sports News. Sanches is not happy with his lack of playing time at the Allianz Arena and could move before Thursday's transfer deadline.
Chelsea are also interested in the 20-year-old Portugal international. Solhekol said on Sky Sports: "Some exciting news for Liverpool supporters reaching us from our colleagues at Sky in Italy.
"They're reporting Liverpool are favourites to sign Renato Sanches on loan from Bayern Munich.
"The Portugal midfielder wants more game time and he's frustrated in Germany after moving to Bayern for £27m in May last year. "Chelsea and Monaco are some of the other clubs who are interested.
"Sanches' agent Jorge Mendes was at the Monaco game last night but he's also involved in the Mbappe deal. "Sanches meanwhile didn't play for Bayern on Saturday and they say he'd asked for time off to think about some offers.".
Philippe Coutinho has been linked with a move away from Liverpool to Barcelona in recent weeks. And news has also emerged the Reds have tabled a bid for Arsenal target Thomas Lemar as they look to strengthen their squad even further.
