I've been seeing a man in my backyard for the past two nights - full story - Duration: 14:32.
I've been seeing a man in my backyard for the past two nights
To start I need to give some background: I am a male who lives in relatively nice neighborhood
It's your average small town run of the mill suburbs area with not a lot of people.
I am a college kid who's home on break while my parents have gone away which doesn't
help at all.
I have a two story house I do not have gun nor do I have any real weapons
other than kitchen knives I am not on any medication and I have no record
of schizophrenia or any other mental illnesses I barely have any relationships with my neighbors
most of whom are elderly and the rest I have minimal contact with
I do not have any people in my neighborhood (that I know of) who have reasons to attack
or harm me Now, let's get into what has been happening.
About two nights ago I woke up very late in the night and I went to the bathroom.
Now, my second story bathroom has a window that can see the entirety of my backyard.
Directly behind it is a cul de sac which you can see directly into.
There is a group of trees and pile of rocks and mulch that divides it.
Usually I can see everything in my backroom without turning on my because lights from
my neighbor's house dimly lights the room.
As I am using the toilet I look outside and I notice there is a car parked directly facing
my house in the cul de sac.
Now if you have ever seen a cul de sac before you would know that when you park you always
either park next to the curves of the sac or the sides of the street.
This car was directly facing the curve behind my house.
I thought this was extremely strange considering whoever parked must have been there to visit
someone, but if that were the case then why would they have not parked in one of the driveways?
The people who lived behind me were both elderly so they probably didn't have some big block
party I didn't know about, and even then only an idiot would park like that.
As I stared into the car I could distinguish a figure in the driver's seat, just sitting
there.
Since the lights were not on in my bathroom whoever was in the car probably couldn't
see me through that window.
At this point I was determined to see just who was in there, so I went downstairs, got
my binoculars from my dad's closet, and went back to my bathroom to see who was there.
Take in mind this is 3 in the morning, what person would be in their car just sitting
there in the middle of the winter?
As I go into my bathroom, I look outside to find...nothing.
The car had since left.
I thought it was relief seeing as I probably was just freaking out over nothing and the
person was just leaving whoever they were visiting, but then again, what are the odds
that the moment I notice the car that's the moment that the person leaves?
I finally calmed myself down and went back to sleep.
The next day a mix of boredom and paranoia got the better of me; I decided it was time
for some investigation.
I go to my backyard cul de sac to see if there was any trace of the person who was there
last night.
Nothing.
I go to my neighbors to see if they had anybody over the other night; maybe it would clarify
just why would somebody would be parked there.
I asked both the owners of the 2 houses on the curves the cul de sac, all of whom said
they did not have visitors.
I asked for their numbers and I left.
This is when my paranoia really started to kick in.
This was messed up, I had no clue whether the person was coming back later, and I can't
call the police as they won't respond to a complaint that isn't even valid.
I decide to wait until later to see if the person came back.
I spent that night talking with my college friends about it over video chat, all of whom
thought I was either making it up, or freaking out over nothing.
I sign off and watch netflix until it's pretty late.
The entire time I just kept thinking about looking out my window to check, but since
my friends had told me I was worrying about nothing and also since I am a bit of a coward
I just never checked it.
Finally the clock ticked 3:24 am, the exact time I woke up the night before.
I thought screw it, might as well check to be sure.
This is where I absolutely freaked out, the same exact car was parked, and there was a
man in a black hoodie and a ski mask standing right next to it just staring at my house.
I immediately ran to go get my phone dialed my neighbors, none of which answered.
I ran back to the window, only to see that he was standing in my backyard.
This was no longer a burglary attempt, because if it was he would be looking through my lower
house windows trying to break in.
This had to be some sort of a stalker.
I decided screw this and opened up my window and screamed at the top of my lungs "WHO
ARE YOU?!".
No response.
"I'M GOING TO CALL THE POLICE GET OFF MY PROPERTY!"
I yelled.
Finally the man spoke "HAVE A NICE DAY!" in like that cheery way a cashier at the store
would say when you are leaving.
The man waltzed (and I literally mean waltzed like a happy cartoon character) back to his
car and left.
I called the police department immediately.
They asked me if I had any friends who were trying to play a prank on me, I said no.
Like I said, this town was relatively small and the police did nothing.
They told me that if it happens again to call them immediately.
I am losing it right now, it's currently about 11:00 pm, and god knows he'll be back
tonight.
I am going to be looking out my window all night waiting for him.

Update 12:24 am: I am currently staring outside looking out my window waiting for the man
to come.
I have informed my neighbors about his arrival and they have told me they are also on the
look out.
I feel extremely nervous but at least I have my neighbors helping me out.
I just want this to be over.
Update 1:24 am: Nothing has shown up yet.
Got a call from my mom about a half hour ago.
I haven't told them about of this happening.
I just told her I loved her and hung up the phone.
My friends have been snap chatting me asking me about this.
I said that I'll try to get a picture of him if I can.
If I do I'll upload it so you guys can see.
Update 1:34 am: Neighbors told me they see a car parked up the street from them.
One of my neighbors who's in his mid 40's says he's going to check it out.
My foot is tapping the floor like crazy right now.
Update 1:37 am: False alarm.
Turns out it was just the car of a family who just got home.
This suspense is making me sick.
Update 1:48 am: One of my neighbors says he is going to sleep.
This isn't good.
I just hope the rest of them hold out for me until the rest of the night.
I don't know if I'm going to fall asleep at all.
I've already chugged two cups of coffee and I'm as alert as possible.
Update 2:11 am: I was looking out my window when I heard something in the bushes of my
backyard.
I couldn't tell whether it was the the guy, the wind, or some animal so I shined turned
on the light in my backyard and saw nothing.
I think the paranoia is getting to me.
Update 2:17 am: Alright it's official, I am freaking out.
I heard something crash in my kitchen and I ran down to see what was happening.
Some pan had fallen over from the shelf.
Nothing notable but it scared the absolute daylight out of me.
I went back upstairs to start looking out the window again, at one of the streets right
of my backyard which is about 200 yards away, through the trees I saw a car at a corner
flashing its brights repeatedly and then making a right driving away from the street leading
to my house.
What is going on?!
Is this man taunting me?
Update 2:32 am: Alright.
I am freaked out.
I'm out of here.
I'm bringing my laptop and my wallet and phone with me and staying in my neighbors house.
I'm not staying here another second after reading that man.
Screw that.
Update 2:40 am: I am currently at my neighbor's house staring into my backyard/the cul de
sac.
I walked out my back door and sprinted and rang the door bell as fast as possible.
They saw me and opened the door immediately.
Scariest thing I have ever done I was worried he was gonna pull up any second.
Now I just wait and hope for the best.
Update 2:51 am: Nothing out of the ordinary has happened.
I am dreading what will happen at 3:24 though.
I saw 2 cars pass by my house.
I couldn't tell if they were the same car as the one the stalker was using.
At the same time I cant tell if its was the same car passing by both ways.

Thank god I left the house, because the direction he is going he is definitely coming back around

The moment i even see him outside his car I am calling the police.
Update 3:11 am: My neighbor and I both agreed we are going to leave the house and drive
to the police station as soon as we see him park near my house.
My heart is racing.
I can't believe I had just waiting in my house alone for the past couple hours.
What was I thinking.
Update 3:20 am: Still nothing yet.
Even if he doesn't come I sure as hell am not going back.
I'm not even sure if I'll stay here.
This is the scariest thing that has ever happened to me .
Update 3:25 am: SOMEONE HAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY!!!!!!!

I went to the police station and I have been questioned and they are working on finding

I went to a hotel and got some sleep and I just woke up.

uhm anarchy is like super controversial then again politics are super
controversial because that's kind of how politics work. why am i an anarchist my
main reason is because no matter what governmental system any country has
something always goes wrong and in an ideal world humans would have every
right they need humans would have access to everything they need the classist
system that America is today that you know the world is today would be killed
uh mainly it's because classism and so many other forms of bigotry are so so
rampant in government if you look at it from the perspective that I do, politics
attract power-hungry people. political leaders always have some ulterior motive
and I'm not saying that there aren't some good political leaders out there there
are but one of those is not a person running the country today... so why do I
think that anarchy could work? short answer is I don't um I
don't think any system whatsoever would work which is why I will be into words
anarchy you know generally it's just because I distrust people always I just
don't people that's it. disclaimer I don't give
a fuck what your political opinions are as long as you aren't a Nazi okay
your opinion isn't an opinion it's just pure bigotry and I don't need you here.
now let's start making the patch i've untangled all my string personally I believe that morals
and pure justice should be far more important than any law or any
legislature but you know that is not how government works because no matter who
you are you're going to have different morals than the next person or we think
that's okay, but laws are so often based around the morals of rich white men and
laws are so difficult to change that it just doesn't work you know capitalism
doesn't fucking work and if you think it does honestly look at the gaps the whole
top 1% of people own like 99% of the wealth that shit's not not okay like
there are people on the streets that are dying to make money dying to like doing
anything they can to fucking live and then there's people like Trump that can
do anything they want anything with their money and have no regrets because
they have the damn money to burn even under perfect political conditions I
don't think that politicians you know are competent in situations that they
need to be I know the anarchism seeing this like a you know super intense a
radical view but for me it's literate not because I wouldn't say I'm truly an
anarchist I wouldn't say me truly anything because
I just don't think that humans work of people as a species I don't think
there's any way that we could please everyone in any way that we could
completely eradicate bigotry the way I see is in an in an ideal world and our
kingdom would be the best option now am I going to do my best
to thrive in the um you know capitalist world that America is of course um but
that doesn't mean I have to like it I'm not going to go burn down a church
just yet but there's also the issue for me of
separation of church and state you know I'm not religious I never really have
been I don't mind people that are religious like it's kind man believe
whatever you want but that means it's not being brought into positions of
power literally there are so many things you know that are supposedly in the
foundations of the country like separation of church and state you know
I don't even know how many times about certain the Constitution but it hasn't
been that way it's never been that way you know Trump tweeted we don't pray as
government we pray God in this country the Pledge of Allegiance God written
right in it God and the government shouldn't just it just shouldn't
correlate you know if your beliefs are what impacts your morals you need I
think you need to find your models from within yourself you know you can't look
up to a god and they know five thousand-year-old book and think this is
everything that's right because she left out David we all cut our hair we were
mixed fabrics you know if that's not how we live anymore
to entertain them in my eyes is a society where everybody just respects
how everybody else wants to live it's a society where bigotry doesn't exist
where the state just doesn't have control it's a place where humans have
control of who they are one of the things that strikes me the most is suros

best which governs at all the bad government fucking no
government thought I wasn't an artist there you go English majors the world
the country that I live in the USA um we favor so so much the rich white people
and I am a middle class white people and I do benefit from the design but that we

so so much to live in a world where you know POC were more respected or even
fucking have to be a rich old white straight man to be influential I would
be willing to give up so much I really really really signals that anarchy is
completely ideal and I know that never ever well humans be able to live up to
that I know that I'm not expecting it in any way um I look forward to the day
that we are all intelligent enough to do that but I genuinely don't think that's
gonna happen I really don't I believe that human rights and letting everybody
have an equal opportunity is far more important than fucking capitalism right
I believe that to truly have a society where everybody has an equal chance we
can't have a society that is ruled by anyone even if they are elected I know

creativity and helping others is valued above money or to color your skin in

to be but theoretically Anarchy would create a balance a balance of morality
to create a healthier more stable economic and environmental world not to
mention social order because we all know social order and rest is absolutely
disgusting this is going along slowly but I have like my circle going the
outside of the cross symbol is a circle so I'm just doing that first getting it
open it's really not that tough to come up with your own world like don't kill
people don't break people don't assault people help others and help yourself if
you live by all of those it really wouldn't be that tough to have no
government if you're a decent person you're not going to be a murderer
and of course bow people would still exist that's why we
pure anarchy but I believe me truly an open society in a place where moral
balance out intolerance and you know murder they just wouldn't
be accepted it wouldn't be a part of the world once again I I really don't think
anarchy is something that could happen because I don't think unions are good
enough for that I don't know but I feel like all government is like that like
communism great in theory capitalism decent in theory um monetarism meant in
theory but if you practice any of them it just doesn't work because no matter
what nobody's nobody's happy it's not everyone's happy I guess rich white men

In today's video I will be playing another art game called 90 second portraits.
I heard of this game by watching Dan & Phil's video.
Although it came out in 2014, I thought it could still be fun to try it for myself on
this channel.
It's once again something related to speed... so I already know it's going to be really challenging.
I'm bad under pressure but let's go and read the rules!
"Time is money and you have neither.
In '90 second portraits' you're paying the bills by speed painting portraits of bypassing
customers.
You have 90 seconds to paint the customer and his/her prefered background image.
Your work day ends after 5 customers.
Your task is to paint wathever is inside the red lines (character and background) to the
best of your ability.
When your timer bar depletes, you will be forced to service the next customer.
Alternatively, hitting the 'NEXT' button will finish your current painting.
Check the toolbox under your canvas to change between tools.
To enter the color mixing module, hit the button 'MIX' and then click on the color you
wish to replace.
Click on the tubes to add colors to the mix.
At the end of your work day you will recieve a total score.

Spanish Speakers' where every week I talk about, in some detail, one common
English mistake made by those who speak Spanish as a mother tongue...and this is
the 44th video, so video number 44.
I said it in the first video and I've said it in every video since, and I truly
mean it...actually maybe increasingly so if you've made it up to this point. So I
completely appreciate the fact that you are working to improve your English. It
really is a cool and smart and practical and great thing to do. So, good job. Okay,
in these videos I show you a slide, and on the slide there are two sentences: One
is the correct way that I as a native English speaker would say it, the other
is the wrong way that -- maybe you, maybe not -- as a Spanish speaker would say it.
You need to decide which one is correct. Please do that now. Read the
sentences, listen to me read the sentences, pause the video, think about
your answer and we will talk about the answer in the slide that follows this slide.
If you got this wrong,
or you just took a wild guess and happened to get it correct, you're in good company.
Many people make this mistake. It's the reason it's in these videos in the first
place. Now to get past this mistake you need to study. To start you off
on that studying path, I've given you three sentences you can study from. I
know this is a very simple beginning, but you should memorize these sentences, you
should review them -- really get them into your head -- and you should put into
practice what you've learned through speaking or writing or both...and you
should continue that process until you've mastered it. Again, it's a very
good idea to use the huge number of resources out there -- including my own -- to

healthier as an entrepreneur so one of the things that I do every single week I
try to do really hard is to meal plan I'm not just talking about what
breakfast lunch and dinner I'm also talking about snacks because as we sit
at our desks and we work away and we don't really think about how hungry we
are when we do take a minute we're starving and we're ready to ravage
anything that we can find whether that be chips popcorn ice cream whatever is
available so I will plan out two snacks every single day whether this be
chickpea muffins yes chickpea muffins and they are good or trail mix with like
almonds and goji berries and chocolate in them I always have two snacks plan so
that I'm not over eating at dinner or at lunch and I'm not eating unhealthy
snacks the next tip I have for you is setting time to exercise I used to be a
morning exerciser but after having two kids mornings just aren't for me so I
tend to work out right before lunch because I fall into that afternoon wall
right before lunch so by exercising before lunch it gives me that boost of
energy and it's kind of where I can find time to actually exercise now when it
comes to exercising I know you might be thinking I got to go to a gym I don't
have a treadmill I don't have weights no worries what's great about YouTube is
there are free workout routines on YouTube so some of the best workout
routines that I do without any exercises are hit workouts high-intensity interval
training workouts some great channels to check out our tone it up and Blogilates
they do a a lot of workout videos where you use
your own bodyweight to work out this way you can sneak in a quick 15 minute
workout and not have to worry about driving to the gym or dropping off your
kids are pulling yourself away from your computer because you can just pop in the

minutes another tip I have for you is to set a timer on your phone to get up
every 15 minutes I know I can get sucked in the video editing and before I know
it I've just wasted three hours and I haven't even moved by setting this timer
not only can you get up and stretch but you can start to add in quick exercises
like squats or push-ups or lunges so not only are you getting those juices
flowing into your body again but you're working out your toning your arms your
toning your butt so why not just set your alarm and do a quick like five
minutes of squats and push-ups to not only get your energy up but to also tone

I'm gonna be a freshman this upcoming fall - which is basically in a month and I'm really sad... I've been through, like
sort of a lot in middle school
so I want to share some of my advice for you guys because I want to help you guys thrive
throughout middle school 'cause
yeah! and, yes, I have my notepad again ;) It's back! Tip número uno. Don't worry about
your grades too much, okay? You're only in middle school, like
Who cares about your grades?
Nobody. Not colleges
like maybe your parents? but like it doesn't matter whether you get like a B instead of an A in science or anything
'cause you're only in middle school; nobody cares
I mean, it's good if you get a 4.0 gpa
but
it's unnecessary
nobody cares
except for, like, honor society? idk
My second piece of advice is
even though you shouldn't care too much about your grades, you should still work hard, study hard
you know, don't slack off because in middle school you get to prepare for a high school and
you get to figure out like what study methods work best for you, and
it's like a trial
process in middle school
For example like me personally in middle school like I tried out a few different methods
of studying like I tried out like
notes, I tried out, like, reading the entire chapter, I tried out, like, flashcards and
etc, but what worked best for me is
flashcards 'cause I'm good at memorizing because I'm asian
so flashcards work best for me
I still do like use notes and like I still like read the chapter - the entire
chapter - if I have time before a test
but I mostly just use flashcards 'cause
that's what works best for me! So you should find out what works best for you
yea! okay tip number three. Get into a good mindset
So basically start thinking - well, you don't have to do this until you're like in seventh grade
or eighth grade. Like, sixth graders, don't worry about
this, okay? Get into a good mindset. Just start thinking about your future.
In seventh grade, I started thinking about health and, like, I wanted to live a healthy lifestyle.
I watched like a bunch of health videos on YouTube and
I
started chasing like a crap ton of water and
eating more vegetables.
Guess what?
Vegetables are delicious! Just get your taste buds used to them, and then
yeah. i like vegetables c:
I used to like
McDonald's... don't judge me but now
I don't remember the last time I ate McDonald's. My family and I still eat like at
a fast-food restaurant if we like need something quick and easy... and cheap
but, like, mostly we just don't eat junk food
except for, like, chips

chips are good. And ice cream! Ice cream is really good, too!
Also, the mindset doesn't have to be about, like, health, obviously. Just start thinking about college
I started thinking about college this year. It's probably still too early to think about college, but like...
I am an overachiever

right now I'm just thinking about, like, what I want to major in? How am I going to
plan out my
my courses in high school
to do what I want? What extracurriculars am I going to sign up for in order to have fun and
look good
on a college application

yeah. Just plan out your life because
you and I both want to have a successful future. You don't want to be homeless and out on the streets
So don't be like that lazy person who doesn't care about anything and watches anime all day

whatever just get closer to them because

honestly, what makes school fun, like, without friends, school would be

Number seven! In middle school, take the time to
explore what you like. Find what
clothing style suits you
Find what sport you're good at
Find what your hobbies and your passions are and
Try out new things! For example, in sixth grade and seventh grade, I didn't really do anything
I just went to school, went home, watched YouTube, and then went to bed
... and played violin and then in eighth grade, I joined green team, I joined honor society
I joined WEN
which is the thing where you help sixth graders get used to middle school. It was fun!
Like, my grades didn't go down because I started focusing on extracurriculars more.
My grades went up, actually... so these clubs
and activities and whatever you find out that you like to do... it's fun
and it will follow you throughout life . Throughout high school, if you decide to keep doing it in high school
maybe even college
who knows? so just find out what you're good at, find out what you like, find out
Find yourself as a person!
Number eight.
Don't worry too much about looks. You're only in middle school.
Everybody's ugly in middle school. except for some people
But I'm ugly, so if you're ugly, don't worry
I'm here too B) You don't have to wear tons of makeup and stuff. Don't ruin your face. You don't need foundation
unless you have like a lot of acne. if you have a little bit of acne like me
you don't need makeup. you're good. be natural! some of my friends have like more acne than I do
but they still don't wear makeup. they don't need makeup. they slay without makeup.

unless you really want to wear makeup. then you do you. but honestly it's unnecessary
It's not worth it to wake up at 5:00 a.m.
in the morning to do makeup for half an hour and then eat breakfast and then go to your

Enjoy middle school while it lasts. I mean, you don't have to worry about anything until high school, basically. You don't have to worry about
your looks, you don't have to worry about like romantic interest, you don't have to worry about your grades too much
just. just enjoy it, ok? as i've said before, i'm going
into high school next year and i'm planning to do lots of extracurriculars and i'm planning to take
advanced classes
and it's gonna be so fun! dies Just relax in middle school
have fun! spend time with your friends and family while you still have the time to do that...
and cherish those moments!
even if they're embarrassing moments. because embarrassing moments honestly are what makes the best memories.

Adding on to my previous
piece of advice, a really good way to
treasure those moments that you spend with your family and friends is to keep a journal or a diary
what's the difference? idk you don't have to write like
a page-long entry every single day like just a few sentences
every day of like what you did like during your day and like
what was really fun or amusing? what made you smile? what made you happy during
like your day
because you can look back at that like a year later
and you're going to see that - those sentences that you wrote every day
you're gonna smile, because oh
that was that was those are the good times
Every year at the end of every year
I started doing this in seventh grade um which is only like two years ago... whatever
I started like writing a
page-long letter to myself at the end of every year! well
my seventh grade language arts teacher
made us like do it at the beginning of the year and then we read that letter at the end of the year
and I was like oh mah gahd that is so cool. so at the end of seventh grade
I went home and I wrote a letter for my eighth grade self. I was like, hey!
Dear eighth grade Kathie, it's the end of the eighth
grade! you're gonna be so old!

and I wrote a page-and-a-half-long entry in my journal every single day for seven days straight
it was fun. so I write it down like every night like what did I do today?
and then when I came home, when I came back, I just typed it up
onto my laptop, so if I lose my journal, I still have my laptop or if I lose my laptop, I still have my journal
so it's not easy to lose those
memories.
Number eleven! Use your technology
wisely. Social media is great like it helps me stay in contact with my friends
It definitely helped me like become closer to my friends
But watch what you stay on the internet, ok? Number twelve!

these days hate their parents and stuff, but like I've always tried to show as much
appreciation and love and...
love... as I could to my parents because they've done so much for me and my sibling
and like they've worked so hard. I just like to, you know, show them that I really
appreciate what they've done and that I love them. and you should do that too, you know? Parents might be
embarrassing or strict sometimes
but they really just want the best for you.
unless they're actually mean parents... then you should like

Even teachers! They might seem like they hate you and stuff
but they choose to spend time around you guys for a reason. they love kids and they love teaching

Number fourteen! Stop worrying about what other people think. I've struggled with this
a lot in the past. and I still do! I think everybody struggles with this. but like honestly
why would you care about what other people think? you won't even know your current?
classmates in ten years. like you might not even remember them, so
don't worry about what other people think. I've said this like four times
but really. do whatever the hell you want. and have fun.

Surround yourself with people who will help better you as a person.
Spend time with people who appreciate you for who you are.

HOME OUTFITTERS HAUL! July 2017 - Duration: 4:03.
Hey guys, welcome back!
This is gonna be a little bit of a different haul.
I went to Home Outfitters, which I think is a Canadian store?
I'm not sure... it's a home goods store.
I went into this plaza and the Home Outfitters there had big signs up that they were closing
that store and they were like, liquidating everything that they had.
So I popped in to see what I could find, and I managed to grab a few things, so I thought
I would share those with you!
So everything in the store was like 20%-60% off... these I believe were... either 20%
or 30% off, they're dryer balls.
I've been wanting to try them, cuz supposedly they're good for your clothes, they save you
money as far as buying dryer sheets...
I've never tried them before, and I haven't been able to find them anywhere, so since
I saw them and they were on sale - I think they were like $4.00 after the discount - I
thought I would grab them and see if they worked.
I got two of these Coca-Cola branded dish towels, primarily because I drink a lot of
Coke and I thought they were cute.
The discount was on the lowest ticketed price, so the sticker here - you probably can't see
it from here - original was $9.99, it was on sale for 70% off, so it was $2.96, and
then it was, again, another, I think 30% off on top of that?
Ended up being like $2.00 each, and I realized when I looked at my receipt that she only
rang me up for one; she grabbed both together and only rang up one.
So...
I basically got two for $2.00.
Then I got these ridiculously adorable pillow cases.
I don't know if you can see the hedgehogs on them - they are so insanely cute, oh my god!
They actually had a full sheet set that I REALLY wanted to buy, but being that it's
Martha Stewart, it's of course, expensive... so the lowest ticketed price on it was just
the original price.
On the full sheet set, they were originally $80.00 dollars!
For cotton sheets!
They were on sale for $48.00 - that's the full sheet set, that's not the two pillow
cases!
The two pillow cases were regular $50.00, on sale for $30.00, which is still ridiculous
[laughs], but... they're SO cute, and I was debating...
I really wanted the sheet set, but it's really expensive, and I really shouldn't spend the money.
What I needed was two more pillow cases - I didn't really NEED a sheet set.
And really, I'm a grown-up, and I don't really need a full set of hedgehog-printed sheets...
even though I wanted them.
So I got just hedgehog-printed pillow cases instead!
And then the last thing I got...
... was this!
It's a Samsonite suitcase, it's one of the smaller ones, like carry-on size.
It was regular $275.00, I got it for $110.00, I believe it was 60% off.
I've been wanting a new suitcase; I bought at the Canadian National Exhibition a few
years ago... it's a nice suitcase, but like, one of the handles broke on the first trip
I took with it, so I wanted to get something a little sturdier.
And, I mean, it's a name brand suitcase, it was nearly $300.00 that I got for just over
$100.00.
It's a bit of a big spend, I wasn't planning on spending that much money at this store,
but I mean, when you find a good, name brand suitcase that's on for 60% off, you wanna
pick that up!
So I did that... and then I used it to take all my purchases home [laughs].
It's really light, it's really sturdy, I really like it, and I hope it will serve me well
on the rare occasion that I take a trip!
So that's the end of my Home Outfitters haul, like I said, I just popped in because they
had a clearance sale happening, picked up a few things...

100 grams / 3.5oz walnuts 100 grams / 3.5oz plump dried apricots (to
plump the apricots, leave them to soak in hot water for
15 minutes minutes until plumped up, then drain.
150ml / 5 fl oz spelt milk or any other vegetable milk that you like
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa 1 tablespoon granulated sugar, if you like
it sweeter, add 1 tablespoon more.

Place the crackers and the walnuts in a food processor or a blender and pulse to a bread-crumb
consistency.
Add the apricots and pulse again until finely chopped and well combined.
At this point, the mixture should be slightly wet.
Now add the cocoa powder, sugar and salt, and pulse briefly again until everything is
blended.
Transfer the mixture to a bowl, add the chopped walnuts and mix until evenly distributed.
Set aside.
In a small saucepan over low heat, warm the milk, then remove from heat, add the chopped
chocolate and whisk until the chocolate has melted.
Once chocolate is melted pour it over the crumb mixture, mix everything together until
well combined and mixture comes together into a soft dough.
Using a spatula, scrape the mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the surface evenly.
Leave to set in the fridge until the mixture is firm for about 2-3 hours.
Cut the brownies into squares, sprinkle cocoa powder on top to decorate and your brownies
are ready and waiting for you to enjoy.
This is one of the easiest and most indulgent desserts I've ever made!
