Hello, and welcome to another episode of the Trans 101 series! All right today, I'm talking to you about Gatekeeping
This is the 31st video in a row that I posted for a Trans 101
I'm super excited to finish it and to talk to you about this and
This Topic was actually supposed to be how to be a good ally
honestly
and I decided to change it to gatekeeping because why didn't I think about this sooner gatekeeping is so important and so important for
Allies and people who are supporting acquaintances, family, friends, even trans people to understand?
What gatekeeping is and how it keeps up and prevents us from?
Transitioning and being ourselves so how to be a good ally I've made a video in the past
I'll put that link in the description below
It is the video that I will explore later on in a different trans on one one on one series
but for now let's focus on this video and let's talk a little about gatekeeping. So gatekeeping in the trans community is a
huge
Huge issue, all right, and if you don't know what I'm talking about
It is basically the people who have authority over our transitions and our bodies
So the doctors and therapists the surgeons and the social workers anyone really who?
even parents can be gatekeepers where
They have power over you and your transition
So an example that I will give you all right when I was eighteen I knew I was trans
I want the transition it's been a while. I went to a program at the hospital Montreal to transition
I had an interview with a panel of five or so doctors and who assessed me and
Assessed my life, and how I talked about being trans
They then came to the conclusion that because I said that I feel like I am 70% male and the rest
I don't know
I am not trans enough all right, and they told me that I will not be able to transition in this program
And I won't be able to get into this program because I'm not trans enough
These are gatekeepers
All right
These are the people who tell you that you're not trans even if you tell them that you're trans and you're ready to transition
I wanted this, I wanted therapy
I wanted to talk to someone about being trans
and I wanted to eventually go on a hormone these are the people who prevented me from doing that and
It is a big problem because none of them are trans none of them
Know the trans experience and know what it's like to have someone say hey, you're not trans enough
I'm not going to let you transition this happens a lot in this community and can happen if you're in theapy a good therapist
You're having a good time. You're like. You know what I'm ready to start hormones
Can you please give me a letter stating that I have Gender dysphoria?
And that testosterone is the next level in my transition and in order for me to get testosterone well
Some therapists will say no, I don't do that or no. I don't do that because of religious or
Emotional, or personal views or no I don't know enough about that to do it .Some of these surgeons
Actually say on their website and tell you that they are trans friendly
being trans friendly and then saying I'm not going to give you a letter or hormones or surgery is not being trans friendly your
Gatekeeper and that sucks.
I believe it is also a method of gatekeeping the fact that you absolutely need a therapist letter in order to get hormones
There are programs and different places and centers in the world now
especially in America and Canada where you go into the office you talk to a doctor and
You talk about the risks of testosterone and the benefits of testosterone the changes of the testosterone
And you kind of talk about why you want testosterone and then they give you a form you sign it
And then they give you your hormones, and if you sign it, they usually give it to you. This is not gatekeeping
It's fantastic
And it's really great. The issue is that for example in montreal the wait list is two years to get
This type of hormone without a therapist letter very problematic because what are you going to do?
What are you going to do? You have to wait on this list and this is gatekeeping and I know that
It's not anyone's fault that there's a two-year waiting list, but really why is there two-year waiting list? Why is there no?
additional funding from the government of Quebec to fund other
Doctors and other programs that would also offer this so Quebec has a lot of gatekeeping okay, and I know they come back
so that's why I'm using this as an example in the past you needed to have bottom surgery or a
Hysterectomy in order to change your gender marker that is gatekeeping and that is a huge problem
I actually was able to convince the government to change my gender marker to male after only having top surgery
I don't know how I did it
But I managed to do it thankfully the laws change you no longer need any type of surgery to change your gender marker
But that form of gatekeeping
Isolated a lot of trans people because they were not able to either
Go out of the country to their papers weren't changed or applied to jobs
Or do anything because their even go to the doctor because they'd rather
Deal with the illness that they have and some people do decide to just deal with it and some die
because they don't want to deal with the humiliation, and the
attitude, and the discrimination, that they will and my face it will
might and will face at the hospital or clinic because they're you know gender marker said female or male and they don't present that way and
Everything is just confusing. Now the other issue with gatekeeping in Quebec that is happening right now
is that trans migrants who come here and are either refugees or
immigrated here are not able to change their name or gender marker you have to be a citizen of or a
Resident of Quebec in order to do that every other province in Canada lets you do it except Quebec
And this is like a running joke if you're from Quebec or like even from Canada and you notice what's going on here
All the contests that I've ever seen in my entire life especially when I was younger is like
Oh my God that looks so cool
I'm going to enter it's like LA-LA-LA-LA
And then the last little line of the rule except Quebec which literally applies to these trans rights.
Except Quebec, Quebec has this rule that you are not able to do that, and that is just a huge form of gatekeeping. Now
gatekeeping can also take form in little things where your parents?
Refuse to let you transition
and they're like I'm going to pay for your education if you don't transition. That is abusive and manipulative and some people choose to
completely you know disassociate themselves and
And go away from their parents, and you know transition themselves and other people
Have such a tie with their parents
And they feel guilty that they will stay and they will get their education paid for and not transition.
And that is gatekeeping. Your parents your own blood is gatekeeping you and that is just so
problematic and so hard to deal with. Anyway these are just examples of
Gatekeeping not the best video to end this series with I know kind of sad.
But I think that I want to open up this discussion to talk about what can we do to,
To not be so gatekept? Because this is our life. This is not their life, right?
We know what we want for our own bodies. Yeah, we should go to therapy. We should like talk about our life
It shouldn't have to be mandatory
We should be able to choose
That we want therapy and the reason ,why we want therapy, and the reason why we want hormones is and the reason why we want
Surgery we know it inside if you know that you're ready you know that you're ready
you should be able to go and get it another form of gatekeeping by the way is money, because transition is really expensive and
Another issue of gatekeeping is race and ethnicity. We can't I cannot talk about it yet, and white I'm privileged
I'm able to afford transitioning because I was able to
You know put on my credit card and raise money, but that's me all right. There's also the issue of race and ethnicity
Within this community and the gatekeeping that could also happen there within their families and within the medical providers and stuff like that
where it can even be worse than the things that I have experienced, and that is horrible
and it's it's
It's something that is not talked about enough in this community and as somebody who has you know all this privilege
I want to make sure to talk about the voices that aren't heard enough in this community so talking about race and ethnicities and different
Minorities in this community is super super important, and I don't know the experience. I can't talk about this experience
I'm not every trans person. I am not black obviously I can talk about the experiences of like a black trans man
I can't do that
But I can say that I have seen some really horrible things happen in this community regarding gatekeeping to people who are
people of color in this community
and it's just
The trans people of colour and it's just absolutely horrible and something needs to be done
And we need to do something, and I mean I did give the example of trans immigrants in Quebec
And that is a huge issue of trans people of color being denied a service that everyone else
everyone else
Gets access to so that's a huge problem, and that needs to be talked about as well
Oh, and of course you can't not about people who are not able body. You can't you can't we have to talk about that because
It that's just that's just it's a huge issue as well and people aren't taken seriously
And it's just so sad especially with people with learning disabilities
There's a big big stigma with you know. We don't believe you because you're not your you know you're not trans
You don't really know what's going on listen to people and they know what they're talking about, and yeah, there are some
Medical conditions that can happen where somebody like oh, I think I'm trans the next day
They're not trans and that can happen yes, but someone is so sure and of telling you. I want to transition
Listen to them that's all that matters. That's all for this video. Thank you so much for joining me
I hope you enjoyed the videos in this series and
Playlist if you have any questions any suggestions on other types of Trans 101 videos that can make please let me know
I look forward to hearing from you and
Yeah, let's talk about all the things that I talked about in this video in the description super important to talk about especially this. Have
A great day have a great week, and thank you so much for joining me how great day again. I love you. Okay, whatever bye!

Look out, Porsche! Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster spotted
Speaking at the world debut of the GT R on the eve of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the chairman of Mercedes-AMG – Tobias Moers – told CAR a GT roadster was on the cards.
He wasnt joking: our latest spyshots are proof that the soft-top Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster is under development. Our spy photographers have captured it being benchmarked against Mercs perennial sports car nemesis - the Porsche 911.
We'd wager that there's no folding hard-top at play here, either – just a good old canvas roof. That said, it could be a cunning disguise tacked on to put us off the scent of a folding metal roof.
Both regular 456bhp GT and 503bhp GT S versions of the roadster are expected – and it could go on to become a big seller, as many warmer markets lap up the alfresco thrills promised by convertibles of this ilk.
Find out for real at the Paris motor show in September 2016, where were expecting the roofless GT to be revealed. What other AMG GT models are in the works?.
With the AMG GT, GT S, and now the R already in production, Mercedes-Benz has previously suggested that a further two derivatives are in the pipeline.
One will almost certainly come in the form of the AMG GT Black Series, likely boasting more power than the GT R and arriving nearer the end of the car's production lifecycle.
Moers confirmed that any Black Series model would come after the launch of the convertible AMG GT, which is expected in the next 12 months.
CAR understands that the GT cabrio will be available in GT or GT S form, keeping the more focused GT R as a fixed-roof only edition. A GT4 racer, too?.
Moers let slip AMG was working on a GT4 racer. It would be a track-only car and bridge the gap between the AMG GT R and GT3, competing in the GT4 race series.
It's unclear which roadgoing Mercedes-Benz this would be derived from, although expect it to be based on one of the brand's existing range as opposed to a brand new model.

#11 Viagem a pé no Alentejo (Ep.5) Barragem de Alqueva - Duration: 6:34.
This is made here at home
the red wine as well
without the wine, all the singers, here...
wine helps, it helps to uninhibit yourself
when you drink you need to...
...you should eat something, too, because if you drink without eating
there's a big danger, than, we could start singing a song
the real agricultural reform
happened 6 or 7 years ago
when Alqueva got filled with water
Day #27
there's an irrigation system that starts from here
that allows...
to reach thousands of hectares
and that turned these dry lands into watered lands
those boats over there
are home-boats, which allows the turism
in the reservoir
could you take a picture, please?
what people don't usually know
is that when they turn on a tap
of water in Cuba
the water starts coming from here
this is the elevation station of Álamos
the ground here dosn't allow to be cultivated
so, the water is pumped from Alqueva
towards lands that are far from here
this is the Álamos' reservoir
it's the first step in the distribution system of the water
for agricultural porpouses, from Alqueva
far from Alqueva is where you have the watered area
all around Cuba
around Ferreira
Beja
and the area of Moura and Serpa
every time they told about the Dam of Alqueva, didn't believe it could be possible
today that's a big resource we have in Alentejo
the water come to give life to Alentejo, now
otherwise, if it would not rain...
it would all de over
and the dam give life back to the fields
these olive groves exists due to the dam of Alqueva
the channel take water from a, higher place over there
and this water goes to the reservoir nearby, the dam of Albergaria dos Fusos
that's a dam that has been built before Alqueva's
they always tried to make us believe
that the ground of Alentejo is only useful to grow wheat
this was the barn of the whole Nation, but it's no more a barn
what we have now are a lot of olive trees
the Spaniards finished their percentage of land for olive groves
and they bought lands in Alentejo
planting a lot of olive trees, which are mostly spanish
we are now at the dam of Albergaria dos Fusos
which is the dam that gives water to the town of Cuba
it gives water to Cuba, Alvito and Vidigueira
the water you drink from the taps of Cuba comes from here
it doesn't rain since May
that's normal
since May... but it's normal, it's not strange
it's 3 months it doesn't rain
here we can see
the 2 Alentejos
the traditional one
and the modern one
this side of the road we have the traditional one
in this case we have holm oaks
they could also be cork oaks
there's no water here
so that...
...here's where you have a dry agriculture
good for the animals
or for cereals
and this way
we have a modern Alentejo
not wineyards in this case
but olive groves
the Alentejo of the olive cultivation
there's the old and the new, there's Cuba over there
you can see the silos, too
that's them
and this means that this is an area of grain production
this path of the dam has been made with the help of...
"Nova Cuba"
it's a driving school
that offered us...
I'm not from here
so you could not be trusted
you even sing in the Alentejan choir
I've seen you... - I only play with it
...sometimes in a lip-synch playback
we have an important place, here, for Cuba
because here's where our friend Simone is accomodated
Lula lodging
"Located in the south of the Tejo"
"The dam of Alqueva"

As a form of support for me in making the next tutorial
hi,friends
Meet me again on this simple channel
I will share the trick how to hide the apps that you think are confidential ...
To avoid being seen on the Samsung Android screen
Why only on Android Samsung?
Because on Android Samsung has a built-in feature that can be used to hide applications from the Android screen
If you want to know how, watch this video
First enable first feature secure folder
To enable it from quick access
Or from the Android settings menu
Search lock screen and security
Click the secure folder
Create a password for the secure folder
Click show secure folder
Then the secure folder app will show up on your Android screen
For the identification of key types and notifications of secure folder apps, set as you see fit
If the secure folder already appears on the android screen, just open it
Enter the password
Click add
Select the app to hide from the Android screen
For example I will hide the Hooq and Paypal apps
Then click add in the top right corner
And uninstall this app from the Android screen menu
And I have to open those two apps from the secure folder...
Because these two apps do not show up again on my Android screen
If the Android app you want to hide does not exist in the add menu
Then you have to install it from here
Click download from Playstore
Enter your Gmail email and password
Click next
Next, select and install the app you want to hide in the secure folder
For additional information
First, if you want to hide social media applications
Such as WhatsApp, BBM, Facebook, Instagram to a secure folder...
And remove social media apps from the Android screen
You are required to login again
Make sure you remember your social media account username and password
The second, in addition to hide the Android app ...
This secure folder can hide photos, videos and even any files, from the Android gallery
How, open the Android gallery
Select the photo or video you want to hide
Click on point 3 in the top right corner
Click move to secure folder
Enter the password
Then the photos in your Android gallery will be stored in a secure folder
If you want to return the photo to the Android gallery on the main screen
Click the top right corner
And click remove from secure folder
The third, usually the feature of this secure folder is in Samsung which is produced in 2017
Because Samsung has not released this app for all Android
Like that tips from me this time, hopefully can be useful
If you like this video do not forget to click likes, leave comments and share to your social media
Thank you for watching and see you again

Trans 101: Ep 31- Gatekeeping [CC] - Duration: 9:45.
Hello, and welcome to another episode of the Trans 101 series! All right today, I'm talking to you about Gatekeeping
This is the 31st video in a row that I posted for a Trans 101

Netzmodernisierung T-Mobile Austria - Duration: 2:43.
In our "Deutsche Telekom by Night" series,
we take a look at how our colleagues are
ensuring the best connections –
even between dusk and dawn.
Today, we are reporting from St. Pölten
in the picturesque region of Lower Austria.
Shortly after midnight, when most of the locals are already
enjoying a good night's sleep,
our colleagues are still toiling away in the Klangturm,
the 77-meter-high tower you can see behind me.
Deutsche Telekom's Austrian subsidiary, T-Mobile Austria,
is busy upgrading the tower's entire network systems,
replacing the old 3G system with new 3G technology from Huawei.
Its goal is to create what is known as a single radio access network –
or single RAN for short.
Instead of dedicated network components for each technology,
the tower will have a single hardware unit that can process
all three mobile communications standards.
T-Mobile Austria is investing over 100 million euros every year
in network build-out and is currently in the process of
replacing its entire network technology.
The pilot project in St. Pölten marks the start of a wide-scale
program to upgrade every one of our
mobile communications sites in Austria,
enabling us to build out and enhance our
LTE network with a corresponding software configuration.
A crane has been installed to help our technicians reach
all of the Klangturm's network components.
For safety reasons, however, we and our camera
unfortunately have to stay down here.
The technicians, too, do as much preparation
as possible at ground level before ascending
the tower to complete their work there.
By upgrading the network and putting in
place a single RAN, we are readying our
network for the future – and enabling our
customers to reap the benefits.
The new technology will grant us even more
flexible features and parameters for planning and
give our colleagues from Operations even
greater freedom with the network.
After replacing the hardware,
the technicians will descend to the
basement of the tower,
where cables have to be hooked up
and new configuration software installed.
During the changeover to a single RAN,
there will be a brief interruption to the power supply,
generally lasting no more than a few minutes.
The changeover will be carried out at night
so as to ensure it goes unnoticed by
the customers: after midnight,
far fewer customers use their phones and surf the net than during the day.
During the changeover, smartphones will automatically
connect to the network via 2G or LTE.
Tonight in St. Pölten, there will a total of three changeovers,
whereas after the pilot phase there will be as many as ten every night.
T-Mobile Austria plans to have converted all its mobile communications
sites to single RAN technology by 2019.
The company is making its network future-proof and
doing it all under cover of darkness – 62 when others are sound asleep.

Gov't to focus on tackling low birth rate and closing income gap - Duration: 2:39.
The series of policy briefings with the President and government agencies came to an end today.
The welfare, labor and gender equality ministries laid out their goals for the next few years.
Park Ji-won shares with us what was discussed in that final session.
During Thursday's policy briefing session, President Moon emphasized that the three ministries
-- of welfare, labor and gender equality -- are key to realizing his administration's main
goal of achieving economic growth... that is inclusive and led by rising incomes.
"A budget spent on tackling the low birth rate and closing gaps in employment is a budget
for welfare as well as for growth.
I urge the related ministries to give the public tangible results showing that the government's
efforts to secure the social safety net and to increase disposable income will lead to
inclusive and income-led growth."
( , . .)
The welfare ministry, to tackle the nation's low birth rate, plans to give families an
allowance of about 90 dollars a month for each child under the age of five... and raise
the rate at which families use public childcare to 40 percent.
The birth rate stood at 1-point-zero-three this year,... the lowest level ever,... which
was a further drop from last year's 1-point-one-seven.
As for employment, the ministry will focus on creating quality jobs in the medical industry.
(Korean) "The ministry plans to create 100-thousand
new jobs in the healthcare industry,... which will improve the nation's healthcare services.
New jobs in the healthcare and medical industry are known to lead to more employment in other
industries too."
The labor ministry's main goal is to reduce irregular or contract employment by encouraging
employers to make them permanent and full-time.
It also wants to reduce working hours.
(Korean) "The ministry acknowledges that the nation's
high suicide rate and low happiness levels, as well as its low productivity, are all influenced
by long working hours.
Therefore ministry will push to revise the nation's labor standards act... to limit legal
working hours to 52 hours per week."
The gender equality and family ministry also plans to actively help women re-enter the
job market after they start families... and to achieve greater equality in pay and working
conditions.
The ministry also aims to push for new laws to prevent gender-based violence,... and to
increase support for the victims of gender-related crimes.

Alright, I'm gonna just look you in the eye,
I'm gonna drain this.
And probably--
- Just don't hurt me in the face.
- I'm not. (laughing)
- Oh! - Oh my god!
- Oh no, it says let your opponent shave off all your hair.
I cut my hair in November, and I'm not starting over.
Darn it.
Ugh.
Okay, you can't make this one 'cause I'm not
gonna let you. - Yeah, I'm
gonna go for that one right by your left hip.
- Oh, okay.
(laughing)
Oh my god.
Take a shot of fish sauce.
Oh my god. - I'm getting
nervous for you.
- Oh geeze.
That's worse than I thought, so help.
- See, I can smell it from here.
- Whoa.
But it's down.
(snickering)
Oh my gosh.
- It was the shimmy.

And there's a, what are you doing?
There's a Fleshlight here.

- Let your opponent throw a pie in your face.
Come and pie me, let's go. - Oh yeah!
- Do you guys have a towel by chance after?
(laughing)
- Oh.
Oh.
Oh, same one. - Same cup, see.
- Ah, I gotta drink it. - I guess you
have to drink it.
Let your opponent cut off your shirt.
So since you pied me and it's everywhere,
cut my shirt off.
- Hell yes.
Do we need to have scissors.

(laughing)
Oh, crap.
Bow.
Oh. - Oh.

There's a text message.
- It's a girl snapchatting me,
it's probably a nude. (laughing)
She's been sending me nudes lately.
- Excuse me?
- Oh, you're trying to distract me.
Well I don't send anything back,
so she can send 'em all she wants.
Oh no.
Fake an orgasm for one dramatic minute.
Well I fake them all the time so,
I mean this is just more practice for me.
- That's cold.
(moaning)
- Oh my god!
(screaming)
- That's great. - Ah, that hurt Charlie.
Oh what's the safe word, oh, oh, oh, yeah!
Oh the safe word, what is it, I forgot.
(moaning)
Yes, yes, yes I'm cumming, I'm cumming, I'm cumming.
(screaming)
I don't know.
- You seem rather frank.
What does it sound like when you actually get off?
- I don't know, I don't remember.
(yelling)
- Fuck! - Arriba.
- Let the other team undress you down to your underwear.
Um.
- Alright, oh there we go.
- Hide and peek,
that's right. - Oh wait.
There we go.
- [Rob] Yup.
- This is mine, yeah!
Are you feeling cold at all, you know?
(laughing)
- Just go, just go on.
- Oh, crap.
Okay, which one I'm gonna drink?
Oh. - That one.
- Let your opponent do your makeup.
They have to make it as ugly as possible.
- Um, okay, fuck it.
- My father was a drinker.
And a fiend.
Yup, yup, looks nice.
- Oh my god.
- We're doing it.
Cool.
That lip gloss is unreal.
- My lip gloss is cool.
I might just do this though.
- It's gonna go right off your butt.
(whirring)
I'm just gonna aim right for your tush.
(laughing)
Oh my god!
Did you see that?
- Oh, oh, oh.
Oh, fuck. - Shizam.
- Call an ex and say you still love them.
(phone ringing)
Don't answer the phone.
- How many years were you
guys together? - We were
on and off for like two and a half years.
So, it wasn't - So it was a pretty--
- a good relationship.
- [Answering Machine] Please leave your message
- Ah! - For.
- Hi, uh, it's Ella.
Um, I was just calling to say like
you know I'm still in love with you and
I was just thinking like we should get back together.
You know, just call me later.
Bye.
(laughing)
- Oh.
- What is it?
- Talk dirty to your opponent, it must be really dirty.
- Ah, you wanna talk dirty to me?
- No, I'm gonna drink this one.
- [Ella] You know, I'm saying.
- Is it good?
- Alright, that doesn't--
- Oh yeah, drink it.
- That doesn't,
in your mouth. - Come on.
- You're so far behind, I will drink this.
- Yes, thank you.
- Too long, oh no, oh no.
No. - Whew!
Hello.
Your poking. - I'm gonna kiss you.

Trans 101: Ep 31- Gatekeeping [CC] - Duration: 9:45.
Hello, and welcome to another episode of the Trans 101 series! All right today, I'm talking to you about Gatekeeping
This is the 31st video in a row that I posted for a Trans 101

Favorite social media platform is 100% Instagram.
It would be Jimmy Falon, Justin Timberlake and of course Mr. Bob Parsons.
Honestly, neither.
I don't like to be put into a box of either a golfer or a model.
I am a golfer. I am a model. I like to be an influencer so that I can be everything
that I want to be.
I always have to have like at least 15 golf balls, cause I have this fear that I will
just lose all of my golf balls and then I'll have to withdraw from a tournament and then
I always have to have a quarter to mark my ball with.
One word just doesn't do it justice.
Progressive, innovative and just simply amazing.
I don't know if that counts but I'm going with it.

my math main system DC a blur debits Credit acid drugs offense liability
equity revenue I'm fired up today's gonna be a good one I think every video
I'll try to get better and this is the best video I've ever made coming up
right now I think it's like 150th video let's go this happens to be the best
place in the world over here if you just hit this card and all your dreams will
come true I'm a I guarantee that a personal promise all your dreams will
come true yeah yeah what is this this is this is my classic series but this is a
sub classic series of the main classic series this is number 76 this is service
revenue more importantly than being accounting for beginners number 76 this
is a road to 100 and we started on 73 73 74 75 76 in our own little business
would you think and we're selling widgets
we're selling widgets and that's what we're doing for our business and we're
running through road 173 through 100 is just our business and if you would like
to if you would if you like this if you like the series please give it a like it
really helps really really really helps my videos out now if you have any ideas
for videos please leave in the comment down below I mean like if you want you
if you want us to not have any money I don't know why you would want us to not
have any money to have an office dispenses but if you want to make us
have like a really high service month or something sort of swimming in the money
so we can so we can freakin do stuff anyways let's get into this one I'm
pumped up a bit listen to music Oh more and I think I found one thing up on my
schedule I don't know whoa 76 service revenue so
we get some service revenue so what's going on here widget incorporate
makes two thousand dollars from widget repairs all right widget widget
incorporated and that's us that's where our widget incorporated had and we are
shareholders I'm Tom on the books of shoulders but you guys are on our show
we're gonna do a journal entry we're going to do a journal entry and then you
know if you've been watching the I started from 73 if you know we're going
to adjourn on sugar going to chart of accounts we're going to general ledger
we're gonna do income statement and balance sheet let's go to a journal
entry for this is there cash is there cash yeah we're actually getting cash in
this so we love this this should be our favorite journal entry so we should know
this one inside now because this should be our journal this is my favorite
journal entry debit cash a credit service revenue that is my favorite
journal entry so I don't know like tell me your favorite journal entry if this
is not your favorite journal entry is this fun or what you know people say
accountants don't have any imagination I had to imagine making a hundred a
hundred video series and I'm going to a thousand so you've got to have
imagination I'm doing this business here I'm having imagination anyways what's up
with the journal and you get we're getting cash so if we're getting cat or
we're getting we're getting cash and we're gonna put it into our checking
account so mmm I mean I guess in real life you would look in your bank
statement or your bank would have two thousand dollars coming into it so you
would know that it's revenue so sometimes you wanna know you know is
this revenue is this an expense or just trying to think logically and do the
best you can and everything will be fine and practice practice practice we move
on that I gotta move on out of this board what the floor
something's something right see if I'm feeling good or everything so I'm always
tries to deflect me out but it ain't gonna happen
ain't gonna happen let go come on please
so yes we're getting money we're getting cash and $2,000 we're getting $2,000 so
that would so cash checking account whatever is an ass
and we're getting it so it's coming into the business so it's going up so let's
go over to our GC and lurch our where's the assets going up assets going up
debit so there's our debit I can account two thousand dollars which is an asset
what's our credit what's our credit well why did we get
the two thousand dollars because we we serve it we did weighted repairs who
serviced widgets and that's our main thing we service them we might sell them
later I don't know but we just service them now we don't have the all the
equipment and all the inventory and whatnot we got we got money for doing
stuff for an ordinary course of business that's a revenue a revenue accounts
going up so that's gonna be our credit it's either a debit or credit so there's
our there's our credit widget service mm revenue so our journal entry is four
which is incorporated makes $2,000 for widget repair our journal entry is debit
$2,000 checking account which happens to be an asset credit widget service $2,000
which happens to be a revenue all right Becky and Becky and now we go to our
chart of accounts what did we what did we add in our journal and what do we
have in our journal journal entry we're checking account we already had that in
our chart of accounts and we also had revenue widget services which we did not
have in our chart of accounts so we added so we just added it in we added in
a widget service under revenue is our first revenue so here's our chart of
accounts currently we have a checking account we have a truck which is a fixed
asset we have liabilities we have a loan from shareholder that's only liability
our only revenues widget service are only expenses rent but as you can see
every time we do a journal entry and we do not have an account for that journal
entry on our chart of accounts we just simply add it it's just it's easy like
that we just add it inside every count in our chart of accounts is the activity
that happened so let's start with our widget service with the activity because
there was only one transaction on for 30 15 oh that's when we did our journal
entry this time for 30 15 is our fourth one that's April so it all happened was
it increased by $2,000 or just service on fourth
fifteen our general ledger for weighted service now the fun one I think of
course is our checking account and I've tried to maybe it'll come more if
someone hasn't seen it before or you're watching the series for the first time I
just wanted to be very very evident that most mostly you know keeping the books
for a business or doing this I guess this is keeping the books keeping up on
you know journal entries chart of accounts general ledger balance sheet
income statement it is mostly it was it is night you know if there's a hundred
journal entries or one hundred transactions 9595 or up it's good ninety
five ninety five percent is gonna be from the checking account so what
happened in our what's going on there general ledger checking account this
time at four thirty fifteen we added two thousand dollars and started at 115 with
ten thousand - four thousand - four thousand plus two thousand so it has
four thousand so our checking account has four thousand dollars now so what
happens over here check account four thousand dollars energy in our general
ledger checking account which is serviced two thousand dollars in our
widget service general ledger account now now I'm gonna have super fun if you
thought the checking account was fun alright looks great jump cut back yeah
boy now if I said if you thought that was fun this is a lot of fun this is
like super duper fun now this is the balance sheet and the income statement I
want to say again the reason why because when I started working somewhere I had
the income statement on top of the balance sheet and my like mentor a guy
said no no balance sheet goes on first and I'm like why and he goes just
because it's just is but through the years this is about four years ago or
something three four years ago so now I figured out the reason the balance sheet
goes on top is because the income statement is revenue minus expenses
equals net income so the totality of the income statement in net income flows
over to the balance sheet so we've looking at the balance sheet being on
the financial statements you can see what's out what's going on with assets
equal liabilities plus equity so you can see all that and you can see the
totality of revenue expenses so you can see the whole business and a snapshot
into it in like two seconds with the balance sheet now the income statement
for now is one one fifteen that's when we started our business to four thirty
fifteen that's how it is now so it's the period income statement is a period boom
boom as you can see it's January to April in
2015 the balance sheet is one point in time it's just for right now right today
or the time now because it was probably sometime in May by the time we're doing
these journal entries because you're in accounting you're kind of working behind
right
so balance sheets for thirty fifteen what did what happened this time this
time we we finally made some serve we finally made some revenue so so we got
two thousand minus 4 thousand equals negative two thousand net income see I
think it was we did have we didn't have this so it was negative four thousand
net income was negative four thousand over here but now we made two thousand
dollars so now we have only negative two thousand dollars net income so we made
two thousand we've decreased our our lost by two thousand dollars so that
slides over to here now what's with it what's over there balance Jim for thirty
fifteen a couple things changed over here and are attracted account we went
from having two thousand dollars and we made two we made two thousand dollars we
have four thousand dollars in our checking account and our truck is still
in the books for four thousand dollars so we have a total of eight thousand
dollars in our assets now is that going to equal is that going to equal our
liabilities plus equity the liabilities didn't change the equity did change
because it was negative four thousand dollars but now it's negative two
thousand dollars so our equity is negative two thousand
dollars our liabilities ten that's $8,000 for liabilities and equity
does that match libel assets yes it does well well well that was the oh well well
well well though is that I always look up there that was never 76 so can you
believe we're almost on 76 I'm going to try to do this more often
to where go faster and not talk so much about anything else but the actual
problem at hand and then if I have because my my camera when he goes to 16
minutes and then it shuts off so I'm gonna run it out to 660 I'm gonna
basically I'm going to talk try those times as I can so I can talk at the end
of the video and so you don't have to like skip through the videos because I
talk to my sure that we're getting enough to skip through the Hat find out
where I started I don't know I'm talking a lot right now but just something goes
through my head I finally I think I finally found a good time to film and
just do my life now Express and really until next tax season so what I'm gonna
do I'm gonna be professional about it I'm gonna keep all the negative thoughts
out of my head because I have so many negative thoughts going running through
my head it's really a full-time job like I don't know how many hours I guess
you're awake 16 hours a day I'm trying to fight off the negative voices in my
head like 14 of those day 14 of the 16 hours and I'm awake it's true
it's really hard for me and yeah I try I just I am really trying to do it and I
guess doings doing stuff that I like doing helps me stay in a positive mood
so I like getting here in the morning at 3 o'clock and doing these accounting for
beginners I love it actually anyways I'm bad at time look stay positive don't
hate people be nice uplift people why you gonna remember to be a piece of shit
fucking scumbag hater right like be remembered
uplifting people deuces nothing shaking about my goddamn car keys

Accessibility in the Portal Part 1: Intro to Accessibility - Duration: 2:09.
Welcome to the portal training series at the University of Toronto. Today I will
show you how to leverage portal accessibility features to help you
deliver a more inclusive, accessible course experience to your students.
Why should we make our courses more accessible? Courses that are accessible pose
three primary advantages to students: they enable students to consume course
content easily; that is, they don't have to waste valuable studying time trying
to decipher course materials. Accessibility also improves student
learning and retention overall. It does this by fostering an inclusive and
welcoming learning environment where all can succeed regardless of ability or disability.
Think of it as a best practice: simply put, you want to deliver
course content in a way that is accessible to everyone.
Accessibility then, is something we should be intentional about just like we
need to know where we want to go with your course so we can focus on getting
there and in achieving our course goals, we also need to identify some of the
accessibility challenges students experience so we can address those
challenges and bridge any gaps, helping students achieve their learning goals as well.
It's much easier to design our courses to be accessible from the outset, with intentionality.
However don't be discouraged if your existing course
hasn't yet bridge those gaps. This video will help you identify potential issues
so you can fill in the missing pieces.
We're going to look at five ways in which you can make your portal course more accessible.
1. By adding alternative text for images
2. By crafting meaningful hyperlinks
3. By making judicious use of colour
4. By creating structured pages and documents
And 5. By adding closed captioning for videos.
Let's go to our course and look at how these web accessibility principles can be applied to the course
setup process, primarily using the Portal's built-in features.

Do Not Worry - Duration: 6:13.
Jesus Christ commands us not to worry, not to be concerned about tomorrow
because we cannot change anything by worrying. He says that our Heavenly
Father knows what we need and He will freely give it to us, He will supply in
all our needs because He takes care of the birds of the heavens, He will also
take care of His children. Jesus gives peace beyond all understanding
to those who obey Him, but as it is written: There is no peace for the sinner.
The sinner has a reason to worry even though he is a believer. Jesus said
He will never leave us, He will never forsake us, but He also said that if we
deny Him, He will certainly also deny us. If we make God our refuge, if we live for
the kingdom of God and we obey the commands of Jesus then we can pray with
confidence and we can trust the Lord and know that He will answer our prayer,
that He will take care of us. But if we disobey Him and we live selfishly for
ourselves, if we have no business with God, if we don't care for Jesus Christ
and for His kingdom then we have reason to be worried. It is only when we are in
obedience to Jesus, in Christ, that He gives us peace beyond all understanding,
no matter what our circumstances are, because He is in control. They once came
to Jesus and told Hm about a tower that fell on people, the Tower of Siloam, and
they were killed, and Jesus said to them:"If you do not
repent you will perish likewise." There is no peace for the sinner, no peace for the
person who disobeys Jesus Christ, he has reason to worry not only about his
current situation and what is happening in the world, the uncertainties, the
anxiety that is destroying so many people. It is because of sin, it is
because of not obeying Jesus. They do not have Jesus and therefor they do not have
peace. If we obey Jesus then we have no reason to worry, then we can have
confidence, and His peace will be in us and with us. If we sin and disobey Him
that peace will leave us. Do you want that peace that Jesus gives, that peace
beyond all understanding? Then obey Him obey the gospel of Jesus Christ, live in
obedience to Him. Repent and be baptized in water, obey His commands, live holy and
righteous and Jesus Christ will give His peace in you. He will give his Holy
Spirit in you, He will reveal Himself to you and you will be in peace even though
this whole world is falling to pieces, because God is in control. But He looks
after those who take Him seriously, those who are for Him. If God is for us, who can
be against us, but if we are against God then we are without the protection of
God. Jesus said that He will never leave us He will never forsake us, but if we
deny Him, He will certainly also deny us. If we do not take Him seriously and we
do not obey Him, in our day of trouble, we will call on Him and He will not answer,
because when He called we did not answer, we were not interested in Him.
If we deny Jesus, He will certainly also deny us but if we seek to please Him, if
we live for Him and for His kingdom, then we can rest at ease, we can be at peace,
because He fills us with His peace that passes all understanding, then we need
not worry. Are you worried? Are you concerned about
tomorrow, about the future, about what is happening in the world, about what could
happen? Obey the gospel of Jesus Christ and He will give you peace beyond all
understanding. He will give you peace that you cannot find anywhere else
because He takes care of those who trust Him and who obey Him. May Jesus bless you.
Jesus Christ is alive and hell is real. I am here to introduce you to Jesus
Christ so that you can know Him and follow Him and have eternal life.

U.S. Defense Secretary Mattis says 'diplomatic solutions never run out' with N. Korea - Duration: 1:53.
At the Pentagon, Defense chiefs of South Korea and the United States met just around 48 hours
following North Korea's latest missile launch.
Contrary to President Trump's recent comments, Defense Secretary James Mattis emphasized
there's still time to find a peaceful way to resolve the issues.
Lee Jeong-yeon starts us off.
Arranged weeks ago, but the timing couldn't have been better.
South Korea's Defense Minister Song Young-moo and his U.S. counterpart James Mattis sat
down for talks on Wednesday in Washington.
Their first face-to-face at the Pentagon came just two days after North Korea's latest missile
test over Japan.
When asked prior to the meeting about whether all diplomatic solutions had been exhausted
on North Korea,... Mattis answered with a resounding "No."
(English) "We're never out of diplomatic solutions.
We continue to work together and the minister and I share a responsibility to provide for
the protection of our nations, our populations and our interests."
Contradicting an earlier declaration made by President Trump that "talking is not the
answer" when dealing with North Korea, Mattis emphasized the benefits of economic and diplomatic
pressure over military pressure.
The two defense chiefs also condemned the regime's repeated missile threats and reaffirmed
the strength of their military alliance.
(Korean) "I have no doubt in my mind that these issues
will be resolved through the strength of the ROK-U.S. alliance, as we have done in the
past."
Later in the day, Song met with White House National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster, who
said the U.S. will defend South Korea with every means possible against threats from
North Korea, and that the two countries will work closely together as allies to deal with
all issues related to the regime.
He will also be discussing North Korea issues with Admiral Harry Harris, head of the US
Pacific Command.

Philippe Coutinho depressed and confused about Liverpool not selling him
Philippe Coutinho: Liverpool transfer saga has dragged on all summer.
Coutinho is desperate to join Barca but the Reds won't sell. Liverpool are steadfastly refusing to cash-in to the Spanish giants, and Starsport understand a deal is now likely to be put on hold for a year.
Barcelona have failed with three bids for Coutinho and their reluctance to sell has left the player confused, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.
They say the Brazilian is 'depressed' about the transfer not going through and can't understand why Liverpool will not allow him to leave.
Coutinho submitted a transfer request earlier this summer but it hasn't help achieve his goal of switching clubs. Liverpool are trying to sign Thomas Lemar from Monaco, but any deal for the Frenchman won't free up Coutinho for an exit.
The Brazilian hasn't played for the Reds this season due to complaints of a 'back injury'.
Philippe Coutinho: Liverpool star wants to join Barcelona.
However that problem appears to have cleared up while on international duty. Footage yesterday appeared to show Coutinho fully fit in training, and his friend Dr Michael Simoni let the cat out of the bag earlier this week.
"He's a bit anxious about the possibility of changing club," Simoni said ahead of Brazil's World Cup qualifier against Ecuador on Friday. "Of course we talked about this possible transfer, about the things that are in his heart right now.
His back pains, in my opinion, are explained by this anxiety. Muscular tension normally does that." Philippe Coutinho: Liverpool transfer saga has dragged on all summer Coutinho is desperate to join Barca but the Reds won't sell.
