Six Fags Great Adventure: Explained - Part 2.
As stated previously, the original plans for Great Adventure depicted a large complex.
Unfortunately, this idea was not realized to its entirety.
However, for the 2000 season, Six Flags Great Adventure constructed and opened a separate waterpark.
The area, known as Hurricane Harbor, features various swimming pools and water slides.
The park's era of rapid expansion during the 90s did not end with the new decade.
Only two years after the last large-scale new attraction,
Great Adventure opened Nitro to the public.
Nitro was one of the first B&M hyper coasters
ride-specifically designed to offer large amounts of floater airtime.
Shortly after, the park received yet another large-scale addition,
again from B&M.
Superman - Ultimate Flight: a B&M flying coaster, opened to guests
allowing them to experience the sensation of flight as they navigate the twisted circuit.
The ride was one of the first to feature the famous pretzel loop,
found exclusively on flying coasters.
The following years saw the construction and debut of arguably the park's two most iconic attractions:
Kingda Ka and El Toro.
Kingda Ka opened to the public in 2005
as the world's tallest roller coaster.
The ride is an Intamin accelerator,
meaning it launches riders to the top speed of 260 kilometers per hour,
before causing them to climb and crest the 139 meter high structure.
To this day, the ride remains the tallest and one of the fastest in the world.
El Toro on the other hand, debuted in 2006, on the former site of Viper.
The ride is a wooden prefabricated roller coaster, also produced by Intamin.
El Toro is highly rated as one of the world's best wooden roller coasters
due to its incredible amounts of airtime and intense layout.
Compared to Kingda Ka, El toro looks like a small ride.
However, in reality, the wooden coaster is one of the tallest of its kind, measuring 55 meters high.
It was also the steepest wooden roller coaster at the time of its opening
with a maximum verticle angle of 76 degrees.
The two back-to-back large editions of the park marked the end of its rapid thrill coaster growth.
Between the period of 1993 and 2006,
Great Adventure gained a new thrill coaster at least every two years.
This resulted in the addition of eight new thrill based roller coasters,
six of which still operate today.
Between 2006 and 2017,
only three new roller coasters have been installed at the park.
The first being Dark Knight: a Mack Rides Wild Mouse.
This family coaster has been fully enclosed, meaning the ride takes place in the dark.
Various pieces of theming, such as Batman related graphics, can be found throughout the layout.
The second roller coaster constructed within the 11-year period
opened in 2011, under the name of Green Lantern.
The ride is a B&M stand up coaster, formerly located at Kentucky Kingdom.
The final and newest roller coaster addition at Six Flags Great Adventure was the Joker,
an S&S free spin.
The Joker is a 4D roller coaster, meaning the seats of the cars spin vertically as the trains navigate the track.
As stated earlier, Great Adventure has always been home to a large safari park.
However, the way the guests experience the safari has changed drastically over time.
Initially, visitors of the park would drive their own car through the various Safari sections.
This changed in 2012 when the safari park underwent a substantial redesign.
The experience reopened in 2013 with open-air safari vehicles which take guests around the park.
As a result, visitors get much more interaction with the animals living inside the safari.
In recent years, Six Flags Great Adventure have constructed a range of different ride experiences.
In 2014, the park opened Zumajaro: Drop of Doom.
The ride is a huge drop tower which takes place on the structure of Kingda Ka.
This allows for a drop height of 126 meters.
As a result, Zumajaro is currently the world's tallest and fastest drop tower.
A single year later, Great Adventure installed El Diablo: a Larson Superloop.
This was followed by the new for 2017 addition:
Justice League: Battle for Metropolis.
Justice League is a 4D interactive dark ride,
allowing visitors to take part in a superhero adventure.
Towards the end of the operating season,
Six Flags Great Adventure currently hosts two events.
The first, Fright Fest, occurs around Halloween
allowing guests to ride attractions in the dark as well as experience haunted mazes
and interact with a variety of spooky actors.
While the second, Holiday in the Park, occurs around December.
This event allows visitors to taste a mixture of festive foods
as well as watch a stunning light show, and even ride some of the park's roller coasters.
Today, Six Flags Great Adventure is considered one of the greatest parks in the world for thrill seekers.
It currently houses more roller coasters constructed by B&M than any other,
making it a must visit destination for fans of the company.
Because of the wide variety of attractions, Great Adventure is enjoyed by all members of the family,
helping it to be considered one of the best Six Flags parks in the chain.

We can't believe what we found UNDER the city center! - Urbex Lost Places Markthalle Leipzig Germany - Duration: 12:56.
In today's episode, we are exploring a widely branched network of cellars
located deep under a major city.
This place has been an insiders' tip among the local urbex community for years.
These vaults are the last remaining sections of a historic market hall
which was built in the 19th century and demolished some decades ago.
Only a few meters above this relict of former times
people are going on with their daily routines
having no idea what spectacular views are down here.
In some cases multiple-centimeter-thick and many meters long roots extend across the underground.
Until this day we hadn't set eyes on something like this.
Since this place will be a huge construction site in the near future
and because all the access points were blocked up lately we decided to go with the real name of this abandoned site.
Join our descent into the remains of the old Markthalle Leipzig.
Hidden very well between bushes we found the entrance to the underworld.
This tiny hole was our first challenge.
How in the world is a fully grown man supposed to fit through this?
Well, somehow we managed.
The second challenge was the bad air down there which made it hard to breathe.
There were probably many different kinds of fungal spores, too.
So we decided to play it safe and use our respiratory masks.
"We're right at the street. We can hear folks when they're passing by."
"It says Exit 1. This is apparently the other entrance."
"Yep."
Quickly, we realized that the whole site was in a very bad condition.
This, however, was to be expected but the third big challenge for us.
From time to time, we heard noises from the surface.
In these instances, the silence of the underground was broken by the muffled boom of the tramways or a howling siren.
The market hall was built between the years 1889 and 1891 in the center of the Eastern German town Leipzig.
At the same time, the bustle started in here, it was the end of the local open-air market places.
Around the year 1900 this picture was taken which shows the 7.500 square meter building.
This view of the big atrium shows over 600 different market stalls which all could be provided in the ground floor.
The photo dates back to 1917.
From meat and vegetables to baked goods and wood products nearly everything was traded here.
It is said that there were rooms for a restaurant and even for vets.
There was a water reservoir inside a big tower, acting as motor for six hydraulic load lifts in total.
These elevators could reach several floors and they were mainly used for the transport of the cooled goods from the underground depot to the market area.
Already at that time people were wondering how spacious the basement vaults must be.
Next to the refrigeration system steam boilers and machines were working down here.
The structure of an old hoist is the last remnant of the historic market hall above the surface.
„Old people!"
"This is team Blue, I repeat: This is team Blue!"
"We are surrounded, there are old people on the other side too! Pensioners, they're everywhere!"
"The demographic change gets us all!"
When you are examining the neglected area on the surface carefully
you will find quite a lot of access points which were sealed up.
In the underground, there are many entrances which were filled up with earth, too.
Particularly impressive is the enormous root system in the underground.
Roots of trees which were only a few meters above our heads were breaking through the ceiling everywhere.
Over all these years some of them reached unbelievable proportions.
"Take a look at this giant root underneath you."
"That's sick to see how it's growing in here."
"It looks like it was painted on the wall. It's so dainty..."
"Over there is a much bigger root."
"It's coming from the street, breaking through the bricks and growed all the way down."
An exciting fact is that you can find objects from different ages down here too.
There are fresh tracks of other explorers
but also things from a very long time ago and stuff from between these periods.
Deep inside the tunnels it was pitch-black.
So we needed lamps that can provide plenty of power.
We were glad that we were kindly equipped by Capulux – The Urbex Store.
Capulux is one of the first online shops which focuses on urban explorers only
beginners, but also advanced adventurers.
Here you can find reliable equipment which has been tested in practice.
But enough with this commercial break for now, let's continue with the history lesson.
Air raids in World War II hit the building and the surroundings hard.
However, immediately after the war the market opened again as you can see on this picture from 1950.
At this time, the hall still lied partly in ruins.
That's the reason the market hall was considered as blight in times of the former German Democratic Republic
and so it was completely torn down in 1959.
Only the underground parts remained and were used from time to time.
Something new was supposed to be created here but nothing happened for decades.
The whole site fallowed.
Until today, around 60 years later.
Recently, there were a lot of debates about possible development plans.
There even was talk of a big freedom monument.
Surprisingly the debates finally achieved a breakthrough only a few months ago.
In June 2017, the city decided on a master plan
which provides that there will be a totally new market hall in the near future.
Living quarters and offices are planned as well.
While there was a lot of talk about what should happen with the surface of the site
we were always interested in what's beneath it.
So we were really glad when we finally made the descent into this underworld.
In addition to one or the other rat we discovered a beautiful type of decay that was completely new to us.
Giant roots in the dark underground and marks of bygone times made these vaults to an unreal place.
Although the cellars presumably are going to belong to the past
we will never forget all these unique views.
We hope you liked today's history lesson.
This exploration of the underground was a really special experience.

SKATEPARK RULES | DON'T SNAKE !!! - Duration: 3:30.
hello everyone Benji here it's time to explain all the
things you should and should not do in a skatepark rule number one pay attention
When it's your first time in a skatepark and you don't have a lot of experience
sit on the side of the skatepark to just see what's going on. Where are the
peoples riding where are they going it's really
important like you're crossing the street that's super dangerous always
look on both sides see what's going on be aware of what's going on
I'm addressing this message specifically to the parents I would not recommend for a
kid under six years old to come to a skatepark it's a very dangerous place
they can get a hit they can hit other people the skatepark is not a playground
be responsible please
If you're waiting for you turn on the side of a bowl or
quarter pipe never wait on the coping because it can be dangerous if someone
comes to do a grind or stall it can hit you so always wait between 60
centimetres and one metre away from the coping always look right, left and far in front
of you when it's your turn when no one is in the bowl then you can drop
Most of the time in the skatepark you have lines lines are the trajectories that the
people take to ride most of the time it's parallel they always go back and forth in one direction
Never ever zigzag through these lines
It happens sometimes that you have to cross the skatepark
look right left far in front of you because the danger can come from
anywhere but you know the lines guys so be aware when you cross make sure no one is riding
If you have a bowl in your skate park
don't forget only one person at the time in the bowl there are corners in the
bowl it's possible that you don't see someone coming from the corner so always
one person at a time
now something I see way too much in the skate parks. People or kids sitting on the spots
a skate park is not a chilling place
if you want to sit down sit down on the side of the skate park you have benches
you have grass or whatever never on the spot because people ride this spots and
they're not going to warn you that they're coming they're just going to come
If you want to chill, always on the side of the skate parks
Don't drop ina bowl if you can't get out by yourself because you're going to
annoy everyone there and it also can be dangerous for you and the others
And finally guys, especially to the scooter riders, don't snake. Don't cut the
lines of the others it's not respectful it's dangerous so
please pay attention thank you so much for listening to me
I hope this video helps don't forget guys it's really important to spread the
word so feel free to share this video if I forgot to say some rules please write
it in the comments so everyone can see it
don't get angry because it's not helping at all just explain the situation to the
kid and parents that are annoying you and this will help a lot to make the skateparks a
better place see you guys bye bye

Pat Robertson Interview with Sid Roth on It's Supernatural! - Duration: 28:31.
Is there a supernatural dimension,
a world beyond the one we know?
Is there life after death?
Do angels exist?
Can our dreams contain messages from Heaven?
Can we tap into ancient secrets of the supernatural?
Are healing miracles real?
Sid Roth has spent over 35 years researching the strange world of
the supernatural.
Join Sid for this edition of It's Supernatural!
[Applause]
Sid: Hello.
Sid Roth here.
Welcome to my world where it's naturally supernatural.
My guest had a revelation of the Secret Kingdom and from this
understanding he developed the first Christian television
network in America, a television show that has over a million
viewers daily, a major university,
a law school, all from the Secret Kingdom,
and he says these secrets work the same for everyone.
Anyone want to know these secrets?
[Applause]
You know, Pat, we go back a long time.
Pat Robertson: We sure do.
Sid: And for those that don't recognize him,
shame on you.
This is Dr. Pat Robertson.
And I was reminiscing a little with Pat just before
we went on the air.
I said, "Pat, do you remember the first time we met?"
And by the way, I don't know if anyone has done this lately,
but I'm going to do it.
How old are you?
Pat Robertson: Oh you're not supposed to ask women that.
Sid: I'm not asking a woman.
Pat Robertson: In about two weeks from now I'll be 87.
Sid: Eighty-seven.
[Applause]
Okay.
Now we go back to the early years of 700 Club.
Pat Robertson: Yes.
Sid: And I was, I talked, I was a brand new Jewish believer in
the Messiah and I talked to a nice Jewish reporter that did
not know the Messiah, and I would tell him things,
and I would say, "But this is off the record.
It would really upset my family if this was in print."
Well everything I said that had to be off the record
was in the article.
And that's the bad news.
Oy vey, it was much worse.
But this was a major newspaper
in the Washington, D.C. area carried
it and Kathryn Kuhlman's ministry got a hold of
it, and Pat Robertson's ministry got a hold of it.
And do you remember the title?
"White Collar Jesus Freaks".
Pat Robertson: "White Collar Jesus Freaks".
Sid: Forget Jesus freaks.
There are a lot of things many people know about you.
Many people know that you ran for President of
the United States.
What most people don't know is that your dad,
he was a U.S. congressman, a U.S. senator.
Pat Robertson: That's right.
Sid: You are related to two U.S. presidents.
You have relatives that signed the Declaration of Independence.
You're even related to Winston Churchill.
Pat Robertson: Can you believe that?
Sid: I mean, what a, you graduated Yale Law School,
founded CBN, Regent University, 700 Club.
You were tired.
Pat Robertson: Yes.
Sid: And you wanted to retire.
Why didn't you?
Pat Robertson: When I hit 80 I had been doing
a daily talk show forever.
I've done more television telethons than
anybody in history.
Sid: You have my condolences.
Pat Robertson: Yeah, baby.
And I was running a university and I had all these
responsibilities, and I was exhausted.
And I was 80 years old and I said I need to pack it in.
And so I told our board, I said, "I'm going off television."
I told the university where I was involved,
I said, "I'm resigning.
It's been fun."
Well the president of the university resigned,
the board put me in as an interim president and all of a
sudden something supernatural happened,
and it really was supernatural.
There was an anointing of the Holy Spirit that came on me and
all of a sudden I had a new life.
I had a whole new, I was rejuvenated,
unbelievable.
And I took over this university which was kind of failing.
We just crossed, two days ago,
10,000 students.
[Applause]
Sid: But that begs the question.
Pat Robertson: What's that?
Sid: God sabotaged your retirement.
Why?
Pat Robertson: He did.
Sid: Now why did he sabotage it?
Pat Robertson: Well I think there was some more
for me to do.
Sid: I do, too.
Pat Robertson: But I wanted out.
I wanted out, but on television we have seen
an explosion of anointing.
We have seen the explosion of miracles,
an explosion of salvations and of course this university is
flourishing like you couldn't believe.
The American Center for Law and Justice,
which I founded, has got a very key role to play in America.
I mean, we are suing the ACLU in case after case,
after case.
Sid: That is wonderful.
That's music to my ears.
But I want to take you back.
You're in seminary and you hear about something called the
baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Pat Robertson: Yes.
Sid: Speaking in tongues, supernatural language and you
want it.
So these were the days that you didn't know it could be instant.
For two years he's seeking and seeking,
and seeking, and seeking, and nothing is happening.
But then he had a tragedy.
His son, he had an illness.
He was afraid he was going to be brain dead.
It looked like a tragedy of tragedies.
What happened?
Pat Robertson: Well this son was,
had this runaway fever.
He was starting convulsions and I thought,
you know, he will be permanently brain dead,
which is serious.
So I was on my knees.
He's on the sofa in the living room.
I've got my hands on him and I'm crying out to God,
and I said, "God, please, please,
please heal my boy."
And the Lord spoke to me.
He said, "I love him a thousand times more than you do and
you're such an imperfect father.
Don't you know that I love him more than you?"
And I said, "Yes, God, I'm a terrible father and you are a
loving father."
And Sid, I literally lifted him up in prayer.
I mean, literally lifted him up into the loving arms of God.
And the minute I did that the power of God came on that boy,
bang, the fever broke, and the next day he was completely well.
[Applause]
Sid: You got a pleasant surprise,
that thing you were after for two years.
Pat Robertson: I wanted to begin praising God.
I was so thrilled.
And I began to say, "O God, you are wonderful,
O God, I want to thank you."
And the next thing I know there was this African dialect coming
out of my voice and I began to praise God.
And my wife was in the living room and she was sitting down,
and she said to me, "How long has this been going on?"
Just then the angels happened.
Sid: I can picture that.
But I have to tell you, the thing that stuck with me like
oatmeal when you eat it in the morning.
Pat Robertson: Okay.
Sid: Was your life story.
And one day you're reading a scripture.
It's Luke 12:33.
I wish I could have observed this happening.
Pat Robertson: Well we were living
in Queens, New York.
I was in seminary.
I left law school.
I was in seminary.
And my wife was in her family in Ohio and I was there by myself
at a time of fasting and prayer to seek God's direction.
And as I was praying, God said, "I want you to read Luke 12:33."
So I opened the Bible and it said,
"Sell your possessions and give to the poor,
and come follow me."
And I said, "Oh, okay, God, okay.
Okay God."
Sid: Did you say "Oh" or did you say yes?
Pat Robertson: I said, "Okay, God,
I'll do it."
Sid: What did your wife say about this?
Pat Robertson: Well she didn't say anything.
She didn't know.
Sid: That's what I meant.
I told you, it gets better or worse.
Pat Robertson: I contacted her and I said,
"Dear, God is dealing with me over Luke 12:33.
What do you think?"
And she says, "Well honey, you do whatever the Lord shows you."
We had some old early American-type furniture.
So I put an ad in the newspaper and I said,
"For Sale: Early American Furniture."
So my apartment was besieged with buyers,
sold out everything that was there.
Well later on I moved to an interracial commune in
Bedford-Stuyvesant in Brooklyn and the telephone in our
apartment was disconnected.
My wife called and wound up in Brooklyn.
She said, "What are you doing in Brooklyn?"
I said, "Well I've sold our furniture and I've moved into
this commune."
She said, "You've what?"
And I said, "Well I told you the Lord was dealing with me
in Luke 12:33."
She said, "Well I didn't read that stuff."
I said, "Next time you'd better read it."
Sid: Listen to this.
He's has got $70 to his name.
God tells him to move back home and buy a television station.
Pat Robertson: That's right.
Sid: Seventy dollars.
We'll talk about it when we come back.
[Applause]
We'll be right back to It's Supernatural!
We now return to It's Supernatural!
[Applause]
Sid: God gives Pat a word to return to his home.
Pat Robertson: The Lord gave me, the only word it was to,
"Go to your home and tell what great things the Lord has done
for you."
I traveled down there and when I got there a man said,
"We have this little church.
Would you like to come and preach for a Sunday service?"
And I said, "Okay, I'll do that."
And when I got done preaching he said,
"Look, we'd like to buy time on the radio station to put you on
the air for a week."
"Okay," had never been on radio before,
"I'll do that."
And I was, the next day, Monday, I was on the way
to the radio station.
I stopped at the post office and here was a man that I hadn't
seen for 17 years.
I had gone to grade school with him.
His name was George Lauderdale.
And I said, "What have you done?"
He said, "I just had a dream that I should come from Norfolk
237 miles to Lexington because God said,
'You're not finished and there's something I want you to do.'"
And I said, "What are you doing?
I'm getting ready to go to the radio station,
would you like to go?"
And he said, "Sure."
So he got in the car with me.
He said, "Look, there's a TV station.
Would you like to claim it for the Lord?"
Well I didn't even own a TV set.
Sid: So you really knew a lot about TV.
Pat Robertson: Oh man, I was a pro,
honestly.
And I said, "George, I can't run television."
He said, "Oh yeah you can, it's easy.
You just go ahead and turn the cameras on
and put the lights on.
Everything is easy."
I said, "Are you sure?"
"Oh yeah, it won't be any problem."
So I said okay.
I went down to the football field where I had played a
little bit football as a sophomore in high school and I
was walking there, and God spoke to me,
and he gave me a number on so many thousand dollars.
And I got an appointment with General Sarnoff who was the head
of RCA Giant Corporation and I went down to his office,
and I said, "I'm a buyer."
And he said, "You don't sound like much of a buyer to me."
So I said, "Well I want to buy this station."
He said, "How much will you give for it?"
I said, "I'll give you $37,000", which is what the Lord told me.
The good news is we went on the air on that station and we had
one TV camera that had caught fire.
We had an old rotten out curtain.
The curtain, dry rot, I had taken a couple of pieces of
cardboard and put them together to make a cross,
and we had a cross on the thing up there behind me.
And we put this one camera on the air and one kilowatt
transmitter, and we went on the air.
And we didn't have a monitor, so in order to see if we were on
the air I had to run down to the street to this convenient to
look in the TV to see if we were broadcasting.
Sid: Tell me, just the last calendar year,
how many people received the Messiah through your television?
Pat Robertson: About 85 million.
Sid: Did you get that?
This is last year, 85 million.
Now you told me before we went on the air you have so many
miracles happening there.
Pat Robertson: Yes.
Sid: That you can't verify every one anymore,
but you still do, a lot of them.
Pat Robertson: We've received over 100 million prayer
requests, 100 million, and of those I would say that about
1,250,000 Americans.
[Applause]
Sid: I see you on the air all the time having
words of knowledge.
Have the words of knowledge increased recently?
Pat Robertson: Oh there's been an explosion.
The anointing of the Lord is so strong.
It opens your mind to believe for the supernatural miracles.
Sid: Can we believe, when we come back,
that the words of knowledge will be activated in you and in me,
and people all over the world will be healed?
And I want you to tell me some of the secrets of the Secret
Kingdom that he says he even operates under today,
which anyone can follow and anyone get supernatural results.
Be right back.
[Applause]
We'll be right back to It's Supernatural!
We now return to It's Supernatural!
[Applause]
Sid: You know Pat, you graduated law school.
Pat Robertson: Right.
Sid: But I think that background had something to do with you
holding on to the laws of the Secret Kingdom.
How did that start?
Pat Robertson: Well I was trying to find out how the world works.
I mean, how does politics work?
How does our government work?
The Lord, "Tell me, show me."
And I prayed for five years to find out the secrets.
And all of a sudden, God opened to me a revelation and the
revelation was very simple, that Jesus Christ is God and if he's
God then any time he spoke without specific reference to
the time or place, or recipient, he was giving a law that was
equal to the law of gravity or any of the other physical laws
of the universe.
And so I said, if that's the case then let me go through the
Bible and see if he will show me some of the principles that
govern the universe that these immutable laws that are equal to
the law of gravity.
He showed me, and I wrote "The Secret Kingdom" without the
visible, but the invisible.
But he has laws.
I'll give you the primary law of human growth and development.
It's called of use.
And he gave it to us.
He says, you know, he gave the Parable of the Talents,
the man that had no talents, he lost it,
"And he that uses what is given to him will get more."
And it's a simple law.
For example, if I've got this teacup here and I hold it up,
I can lift that up, if I take my hand and bind it to my chest for
a year I won't be able to lift that teacup.
I will lose everything I have.
Sid: All the muscles will atrophy.
Pat Robertson: Go.
But if I work this thing, and I have done it at a gym,
I've worked my legs to the point where I was easily leg-pressing
a thousand pounds, 30 reps.
Sid: My goodness, you're embarrassing me.
Pat Robertson: I mean, you live up to these things because it's
the law.
It's the same thing with money.
You know, the compound interest of Rothschild said it was the
eighth wonder of the world.
Money will compound.
Wealth will compound.
Goodness will compound.
Souls will compound.
Whatever you're doing, that is the law of human
growth and development.
So that is one.
There's another one, the law of reciprocity,
"It will be given unto you."
For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
It applies to everybody in every walk of life.
And it's so thrilling to think that God laid that
blueprint for us.
And if we follow these laws, Sid,
we have success.
It's in the Bible.
These secrets are in the Bible and we as Christians can change
the world.
That's what's so wonderful about it.
Sid: Now you had, I agree.
Now you had so much favor in your life.
Did you find laws of favor?
Pat Robertson: Well I asked for favor.
There are three things that I asked for.
I asked for the wisdom, I asked for the anointing and I asked
for favor.
And the favor of God is wonderful.
You have that favor everywhere you go,
good things happen.
And when you ask for the anointing you get all kinds of
miracles.
Sid: Speaking of miracles, what if we were to pray right now.
I see you do it on TV.
I want to do it with him.
Is that okay?
You grab hold.
Pat Robertson: Can they all join hands together?
Will you all reach a hand.
Sid: In the studio and at home.
Pat Robertson: I've seen scripture in the 700 Club,
is Matthew 18:19, "Where two of you agree on Earth is touching
anything that I ask you to be done for me by my Father in
Heaven."
So I'm agreeing with you, my brother,
for people in this audience right now.
Somebody has a bowel obstruction.
You're afraid of cancer.
Right now that obstruction is leaving and there will be no
cancer.
God is cleaning up that tract, that large intestine.
You are completely healed.
There's a mother who's got a little baby who is very sick
right now.
Her name is Alisha and the Lord is healing that child,
Alisha.
You can praise God for that baby is going to be completely well.
Just praise God for the answer, Sid.
Thank you, Lord.
Thank you.
There's a neck muscle that has been twisted.
Reach out and touch your leg right at this moment.
That muscle will, that's been popped out will go out,
all that terrible pain will go away even as we speak in the
name of Jesus.
Unceasing, oh you're so afraid.
You're afraid of snakes.
You're afraid of falling.
You're afraid of life.
We rebuke the spirit of fear.
In the name of Jesus, come out of them.
And may perfect love cast out fear,
for fear is torment.
We just ask for perfect love to fill these people's lives.
Yes.
Sid: And I feel as though if you look in the camera and your gift
of word of knowledge is increasing to a point beyond
what I've seen before.
I believe you could pray for that to be stirred up and
imparted to everyone that is listening and watching us now.
Pat Robertson: Let's do it.
Father, in Jesus's name, we believe now for everybody in
this audience, may the anointing of the Holy Spirit come upon
them.
Lord, bless them, sincere hearts who are seeking you,
give them the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Let them have the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
In the name of Jesus, touch.
Amen.
Sid: Amen.
And I wish we had time to go into the laws of miracles.
Pat Robertson: Yes.
Sid: But we have time to tell you this.
Jesus is coming back soon.
Get right with him.
Make him your Lord.
Ask him to forgive you of your sins and have fun.
Pat Robertson: Amen.
[Applause]
Sid: Next week on It's Supernatural!

Frustration in Anglesey - Landscape Photography Vlog - Duration: 11:08.
ah.....what a day!!!!
That weather isn't looking very good today I've got a big trip planned to
North Wales I'm setting off now I'm hoping that weather
is going to improve so we can capture some beautiful landscape photography over the next couple of days.
I've got a long journey ahead of me....so come with me.
okay so I've arrived and I've come to Anglesey in North Wales and I'm just
walking over to Llanddwyn Island - I think that's how you say it - where there
is a lighthouse it's a little island with lots of seascapes so I have a
little explore around for few hours until sunset time and try and find some really
nice compositions it's not somewhere I've really been before but
i'm looking forward to it. It looks spectacular on the pictures I have seen so I'll see
what I can make of it.
okay so I've had good explore of this absolutely incredible
island you saw that lighthouse there that is going to form part of the
composition for my final shot of the day I've seen a couple of really really nice
compositions but now I am set up for the first shot of the day and it really
it's not something or the type of shot I would normally take but I want to tell
the story of this island a little bit and I think this shot does that. In the
foreground I have this cannon and then if you can see just above the camera there
you have that small lighthouse that's not the one I went up it's a smaller one
you have that in the composition as well and I wanted just to get the Snowden
mountain range in a shot as well because it isn't gonna feature in my last couple
of shots today very much so I wanted to get that in there. Now this shot is a
really good example of using the rule of thirds so if you imagine the
cross-section of the rule of thirds I have the cannon in the bottom left cross
of the rule of thirds I then have the lighthouse in the top right of the rule
of thirds and then I've got the horizon line going right across that top third
line as well so it is a nice composition it's gonna tell the story of the day
really well and now have some of that golden afternoon light shining down on
the cannon and on that small lighthouse so it should make a really nice shot
just to get the day going for me and get the story going of this island as well
weather-wise it is looking pretty good at the moment the clouds are starting to
clear up a little bit regardless it's absolutely stunning here and I can't
wait for sunset time
it's exceptionally windy today as well and my cap has nearly blown off several
times I've had some stick about my cap recently in the comments someone called
me middle-aged I hope I'm not and also said it should be wearing the cap
backwards it is purely a practical thing this cap I wear the cap because I'm going
a little bit on top these days when it's windy and I get sweaty I like to cover
that up. And I wear it backwards because you can't look through a viewfinder with
the cap of going forwards most of the time when I'm not filming
myself, I do wear the cap forwards.... harsh comments though.... middle-aged!!
I'm starting to get a little bit worried about the cloud situation since I've had
my lunch or dinner is clouded over really badly and I'm not sure it's gonna
come back I really hope it does I've come a long way to get here
right I'm set up for the second shot of the day and I'm very very pleased with
the composition you've got the lighthouse in the
background camera is set up down there and the way the composition is working
is I have the rocks just here leading you up into the lighthouse at that side
which is sat nicely on that rule of thirds intersection and then down at
this side you've got the sea leading you up at the other side that cloud is
covering the Sun though so the light just isn't right at the moment this shot is
not going to work without the light there so I need that to come out and just
like this scene up. Light the lighthouse up and get some of that golden light on
the rocks down here so it's just gonna be a bit of a waiting game I think it is
gonna happen as the Sun starts to dip below the cloud out to sea there but I really
need it to work it's exceptionally windy as well it's the wind that makes it
difficult at times like this but I'm staying positive because as soon as that
Sun comes out I'm going to capture this shot so let's
just wait and see
this is very frustrating the sun just doesn't seem to be able to get through
those clouds. There is a tiny amount of light coming down onto these rocks but
it's just not quite what I want
Right I'm now pretty convinced that I'm not going to get the light that I wanted I
think what's happening is that it's just so windy it's blowing salty moisture
into the air straight off the sea and into the air which is just sort of then
the sunlight is having to push through that and it's just diffusing it too much
very frustrating it's also just covering the front of the lens I think you can't
actually feel it in the air after a little while you sort of feel this
stickiness on your hands I think it's the salty moisture in the air a bit
disappointing there is now a bank of cloud that the Sun is about to go behind
so
What a day!!
So I'm back at my hotel now I just in the end I went a little bit to
pieces there. The day didn't actually start very well either I flashed a speed
camera this morning on the motorway when it went down to 50mph for such a brief
moment with a sort of hidden camera behind a tree so that
didn't start out well. I then just got the location and it just seemed to be going
so right and everything was in place and then just the light just was not there
on that rock and that lighthouse and it just sort of overwhelmed me with
disappointment. I don't know why because that doesn't normally happen to
me but it did today and then I went to get another shot that
I'd had planned with some of the rocks and some of the sea but I hadn't really
taken into account that the tide was coming in which it did and it totally
changed and removed the composition I had because the water came over the
rocks and they just virtually disappeared under the water so just.... a day
to forget really I mean it was good being out and about but I was just so
disappointed about that shot I think when I actually look at it it's gonna be
a good shot anyway so really I shouldn't be down and disappointed but I am that's
just the way I'm feeling tonight then when I was driving home or back to this
hotel the hotel rang me and said they'd given my room away so I was on the verge
of a touch of anger and upset but thankfully we talked it over and they have given me
my room so I'm going to go and get a little bit of food I'm going to try and
put today behind me a little bit, edit the picture, I think it will be good
anyway then tomorrow is a new day a new start
and I'm heading over to Snowdonia I've got big walk a few shots I'd like to get
so that will be on a video next week... it's tomorrow for me but I hope you've
enjoyed the video anyway.... you've seen all sides of what goes on for me, the good,
the bad, I've had a good run recently today was a bit disappointing. Please
leave a comment down below and let me know what you think
do you like the shot? or not? Do you think it would have been even better
with some of that light on? I'd love to hear from you. Give me your thoughts
generally and I'll see you on another one very soon make sure you check out my
workshops which are online as well. Head over to firstmanphotography.com/workshops slash
The first one goes out on September 18th. I'd love you to come
along and I'll see you on another video very soon I'm Adam this is first man
photography a very tired and very disappointed first man photography in
Wales.....
Out!!!!

Trump Has No One Left – Rabbis, CEOs, Scientists, And Independents Abandon The President - Duration: 4:58.
I want to start by asking a rhetorical question here.
Does Donald Trump have any friends left?
Of course, the answer is, he's got a few, but certainly not as many as he once had,
and to be honest, not even as many as he had two weeks ago.
This past week, a group of rabbis in the United States, who hold an annual call with the president,
regardless of who that president is, decided that this year they were going to cancel the
call.
They did that because of Donald Trump's disgusting response to the violence that took place two
weeks ago in Charlottesville.
Furthermore, members of Donald Trump's infrastructure council resigned earlier this week, again
in response to his response to the attacks in Charlottesville, as well as I think a little
bit had to do with the things that he said during his rally in Phoenix.
Scientists this week abandoned the White House again.
They resigned their posts because they couldn't take the administration's constant assault
on climate change, something we've seen a lot of from the scientific community since
Donald Trump took office.
We have Catholic nuns out there calling out republicans.
Independents are starting to abandon Trump, and that is the group that he needed in order
to win, because luckily there aren't enough white supremacists in this country to solely
pick the president.
Without those independents, there's no possible way Donald Trump could win reelection.
Polls show that a majority of Americans are ready to begin impeachment proceedings.
Republicans in congress aren't willing to say that Donald Trump will be their nominee
in 2020.
John Kasich polls better than Donald Trump in head-to-head polls of republican primary
for 2020.
Bernie Sanders beats Donald Trump in a head-to-head match for president in 2020.
Do you see where I'm going with this.
There is no one left to defend Donald Trump, unless of course you count the folks at Fox
News, but that's not enough to sway voters anymore, because earlier this week, MSNBC
became the most watched cable network in the United States for the first time ever.
There's nobody left.
The White House has stopped sending out their goon squad to TV shows, because even they
can't come up with a cogent response on how to deal with the president's actions.
People are resigning from this administration left and right.
Donald Trump is alienating everyone.
A lot of it recently has to do with his response to Charlottesville, but this was happening
even before that, and it's only gotten worse since then.
Donald Trump's list of allies is dwindling, and pretty soon it's going to be down to zero.
We might even see a day when Kellyanne Conway herself has to say, "You know what?
Enough's enough.
I can't physically do this anymore."
It's only a matter of time.
The reason this is important is because when we have such an incompetent, insecure, narcissistic
president at the helm, the 25th amendment starts looking look a real possibility, if
congress decides to invoke that, if Mike Pence decides to invoke that.
And if Donald Trump continues to alienate all of his allies in this country, especially
those in congress, it's going to be very easy to remove him from office.
Trust me, I want that more than anyone, but I'm just talking about from Donald Trump's
own perspective, not a real smart move.
You're proving that you're really not a smart guy.
You should start embracing your friendships.
Maybe tone down the rhetoric a little bit.
Maybe stay off Twitter for a couple days, because the more the public sees you, the
more they get to know you, the more they read your tweets, the less they like you.
CEOs have abandoned you.
Rabbis have abandoned you.
Catholics are abandoning you.
Millionaires and billionaire donors of the republican party has abandoned you.
Independents have abandoned you, and about 20 to 30% of the republican party has abandoned
you.
Maybe it's time you stop calling that fake news, and understand that you are actually
the problem.

A tree crashing down on him couldn't stop this Very Important Patient - Duration: 2:24.
We were on a catwalk on the side of the hiking trail...
...and I just heard a crack.
And I remember looking up, and then...
...trees and stones and dirt
that came over the top of a cliff,
and it took the side of the catwalk off,
with Kolt being in the middle of that.
...and then I remember Kolt kind of hanging over the
edge of the trail.
I saw my son, um,
what I perceived to be dead.
A young boy is fighting for his life in hospital
after a tree fell on him in Johnston Canyon..
Well, I want to say thanks.
I don't think I'd be sitting here right now if it wasn't for STARS.
Us, as far as our family's concerned, we'll always be indebted to STARS.
We did some wonderful work that day, but the chain of survival,
and the impact that many people that touches a young fellow like this life,
pretty amazing to be a part of everyday.
This day, meeting these people, is...
is really, really something we needed to do,
and we appreciate STARS.
We're always grateful. Always.
It's an amazing service.
It saves people's lives.
We will forever support STARS,
talk about STARS...
Pretty important service.

MICHAELS CANADA HAUL x2! July 2017 - Duration: 12:48.
Hey guys, welcome back... um...
I might've gone shopping today... didn't I just say I was gonna do a no-spend?
Yeah, I said I was gonna do a no-spend this month... um... that didn't really happen...
I have an excuse!
I have an excuse, I swear, it's not-- maybe not a great one, but [laughs]...
I had to go to the plaza that this Michaels was in to hit up another store, and I HAD
to go to that store, I didn't WANT to go to that store, so I'm like, "Okay, I will go,
and I will go to Michaels as like, a reward, for going to this other store that I don't
want to make the trip out to go to, so...
I did that, and I tried to be good...
I don't know if I succeeded, but I tried!
I kinda got sucked in [laughs], because there was not one but TWO coupons available today.
Because I went first thing in the morning, to check out their clearance and stuff, which
was what I was going to look at, cuz for those who don't know: If you buy stuff at Michaels?
You should try very hard not to pay full price if you can.
So that was what my goal was.
And because I went there first thing in the morning, I went there when they opened at
9:00, there was actually a coupon available-- there was the full day coupon, that was 40%
off any one item, but there was also a coupon that was 50% off any one item, but that was
only valid between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
So I was able to use coupons to get two full-price items.
I used the 50% one quite wisely; in hindsight I probably should have got something different
for the 40%, but...
I was trying to stay within a budget, so [laughs]...
I will show you what I picked up...
So this here is what I am absolutely most excited about, this is what I used the 50%
coupon on... this is like a Tim Holtz-- Tim Holtz Distress Ink like, starter kit.
It comes with 3 inks, the mini ink blending tool - well, 3 mini inks - the mini ink blending
tool with 3 blending foams, a mini mister, 8 manila tags, and a technique booklet.
You can kinda see the contents there... the ink colours, you can see it on the front, are, um...
Vintage Photo, Antique Linen and Walnut Stain.
I decided to pick this up because I have been watching a lot of videos of junk journalling,
where people are using the distress inks, and they look SO COOL!
And I really wanted to try it, but it's kind of expensive, especially to get started, when
you don't know what you're doing... and so I was kinda on and off about getting it, and
I actually had chosen a number of other things to use the coupon on... and then I ended up
in the aisle where most of the Tim Holtz stuff is, and I saw this starter kit, and like I
said I've been considering giving it a try, it's a 50% off coupon, so... regular $29.99,
I got it for $15.00, I'm very very excited to play with it.
This was definitely my smartest purchase of the day...
I don't know about other things, but this was the smartest purchase of the day! [laughs]
This little box was what I ended up using the 40% coupon on.
That wasn't my original plan; just the way that things worked out as far as going,
"Okay, what can I afford in my budget and what I can't?"
And actually this was kind of an impulse grab, because it was in the shelving that's on the
way into the checkout line.
It's just this box with a bit of a magnetic closure, it's got this like, old-school computer
(???) on it...
I can't get it open... there we go.
And then it's just got these film roll pictures inside.
It's just so cute, and I've been looking for a little box to put some of my crafty stuff
that doesn't really fit in my other storage, so I figure I will use this most likely, that's
kind of why I bought it.
In hindsight, probably wasn't the smartest purchase for the 40% off coupon, cuz it was
only $10 to begin with!
And now remember that thing I literally just said about, "Try very hard not to buy things
full price at Michaels"?
Yeah, I broke my own rule with all of these; all of these were $7.49 each.
Originally I was going to use one of the 40% coupons on one of these, and then I saw the box, and... yeah.
I was weak today! What can I say? I was weak.
But actually, one of the reasons I had gone to Michaels was because the ad for this week
was talking about the Hot Buy scrapbook pads?
They're like $10 for I think 48 sheets?
And one of them had this French Bulldog, and I love this pattern!
I bought some planner stickers the first time I went to Michaels, with this little guy on
it because the washi tape with this little guy on it comes in a tube of tape that I am
not interested in, so I didn't want to spend the $29.99, I think it was for that tube,
just for a washi with this on it.
So I bought a couple of little planner stickers.
And then I ended up finding someone on Etsy who sells the rolls of tape separately, and
she had this tape, so I ordered one of those, so I have that now.
But I went to get the scrapbook paper, because I'm like, I'm in love with this print... but
as much as I loved the handful of prints in that stack that had this bulldog in them,
none of the other prints really did it for me; there was like one or two... and there
was a bunch of papers I wouldn't have used.
So then I was like, "Well maybe I can find something" - heh - "something with the bulldog
on it that I can get instead, because I came here for the bulldog, I love the bulldog..."
So originally I did just grab these magnets, because I was like, "Well hey, this is something
I could use all the time, and, you know, I could look at the little bulldog all the time!"
And then I saw these stickers... and I basically couldn't decide between either of them, so
I stupidly picked up both... stupidly from a financial perspective; I mean, I will enjoy these!
These might be hard to see cuz they're clear and they're gold foil, but they're kind of like "adulting" stickers.
Like there's, "I Totally Adulted", "I Didn't Quit", "I Got Up Before Noon", "I Cleaned The House",
"Made It On Time"... "I Didn't Do A Thing", "Not Today", "I Cooked", "I Wore Pants" [laughs]... and of course, it's
got the little Frenchie on it.
I thought they were really cute, so I was just going to grab this and the magnets, and
then I saw these ones... and I'm sorry, but look how freaking cute that outline is...
that is SO freaking cute.
And then I just liked the one with the wine bottle, and they're just really really cute.
And basically, I could not make up my mind between the two sets of stickers and the magnets--
er, the magnetic bookmarks... [sighs] so I bought all three.
And I really probably shouldn't have, but whatcha gonna do?
[music]
Okay, quick handheld update in my bedroom! [laughs] The majority of this video was filmed
on Saturday, this part here is being filmed on Wednesday...
I went back tonight, and I returned those two sets of stickers with the French Bulldogs
that I got for full price.
I realized that, as adorable as they are, as much as I love them, I'm not going to use them.
If anybody has, like, a spare sheet of each of those they wanna swap with me or something,
let me know, cuz they are adorable, but I really don't need that many of them, and for seven
and a half bucks a pop, it's a little bit pricey for something I don't really need.
So I took them back, I returned them, and I picked a few things up in exchange.
I did get some money back, I got about $5.00 back, but these items here were in the clearance bin.
I almost picked up three out of four of these when I was there on Saturday; this pack of
note cards, these wooden icons and these wooden icons, because I thought the whale ones were really
really cute, and so were the seahorses.
The whale ones in particular, though, I love.
And I couldn't find these matching note cards when I was there on Saturday, but then I guess
because the clearance bin had been picked over a little bit between Saturday and today,
I was able to find the matching cards.
These were all on super clearance, they were all 50 cents each, so that wasn't very expensive
at all.
And actually my plan for this trip was that I was going to just check out the clearance
bins; if these were still here I was going to pick them up.
But I wasn't going to get anything full price, because as far as I understood it, the 40%
coupon I used on Saturday was still in effect today, so I wouldn't be able to pick anything
up with a coupon today.
And just out of curiosity I checked the app this afternoon, and there was suddenly a 50%
off coupon today.
So I did pick up one more thing.
I picked up this Myartc ephemera pack.
I had actually almost picked this up on Saturday, it was what I was going to use the 40% coupon
on, and then I put it back.
So I went back and I did get this, and I got it with the 50% off coupon, so it only cost
me $8.50, it's normally $16.99.
I'm not going to open it up, because again, there's just a ton of stuff... you can see
there's buttons and twine, and there's stickers and cork, and... what does it say here?
"Kit contains: assorted paper, cardstock & fabric, die cuts, pocket tag, envelope, metal, wood,
cork & acetate embellishments and twine".
So I really like the stuff that was in that little tiny kit with the tin that I bought
a couple months ago, so I really wanted to check out this pack of ephemera as well.
And I was really kind of bummed that I hadn't picked it up on Saturday, so between doing
the exchange and having the 50% off coupon, I went ahead and picked that up.
Okay, back to the rest of the original video.
[music]
Okay, so now this is the part where I was actually good and I got stuff on sale! [laughs]
I had seen these-- I think it was these stickers with the popsicles...
CaliG here on YouTube had done a haul from Michaels, and she'd gotten a bunch of stuff
from the clearance baskets.
And I've never found much good in the clearance baskets, so I was kinda bummed that she seemed
to find this good stuff, but then I was like, "Well, I'll go check it out".
So I went and they actually had these stickers.
They're 50 cents each, so I got one of each set, cuz they're cute, and they're 50 cents,
so you can't really pass that up.
These are like, ice cream-themed... it says, "Treat Yourself", "Happiness Is Sweet", "Here's
The Scoop", "Eat More Ice Cream", "More Sprinkles", and "Sweet Ideas".
And there's just this little set of ice cream stickers... and a little set of popsicle stickers...
and they were all originally $1.50.
These I both got on clearance, these are from the Boho collection, which have been on sale
for a while now, they're just like die cut shapes, like feathers and things.
They're something I had looked at before, but again the original price is $6.99, and...
I like them, but not for seven dollars.
But they were on for...
I think at this point the Boho stuff's at 70% off; when I last saw this stuff on sale,
when I got all that washi tape, they were buy one, get one.
But now they're just trying to get rid of stuff, so they're all on 70% off.
So this was like two dollars or something.
And then these wine washi tapes...
I saw these at my very first Michaels trip, and I almost picked them up, but like always,
washi tape here is very expensive: it's regular $8.49.
So I put them back on my first trip.
My second trip, which is when I got all the buy-one get-one stuff, these were in the clearance
section with the Boho stuff, and I thought it was just a mistake, because these aren't
boho - they're just wine washi. Whatever.
But they were in that section again today!
So I went and asked somebody, like, "Are these on sale?
I keep seeing them in the clearance section with the Boho stuff, but it's not Boho".
And then sure enough, they were on for 70% as well, so this was like, two and a half
dollars, I think?
So like, I've been looking at these since my very first Michaels trip as a bullet journaller,
and... you know, I didn't pick them up the first time, the second time they were-- I
wasn't sure if it was on clearance or not, and now it's even more on clearance, which
is great, and it was the only one there, and I'm like, "Okay, this is a sign.
I've seen this every single time I've gone to Michaels, I've wanted to get it every single
time"... so now I have!
And last but not least, I got this pack of Heidi Swapp journalling cards and stickers...
at least I think they're supposed to be journalling cards.
They were from the Instax collection, which I'm under the impression is kind of like a
Project Life-type thing, where you put photos and journalling cards & whatnot?
And this particular collection, which was called "Tropical" - this doesn't look tropical
to me - but they were on sale for, I think it was 40% off?
So this is originally $14.99, and I got it for $8.99, or something like that.
I'll see if I can get it open...
So there's some of the Heidi Swapp stuff - there's too much in here, I can't really go through all of it.
It's cute - there's like cards, stickers, and there's like little photo frames, and
things like that, that I might just use as embellishments or something.
But yeah, it's very cute!
I really do like the Heidi Swapp stuff, I wish it wasn't so expensive.
So I will be adding that to my sticker & ephemera collection.
That's it for this haul!
If you liked, be sure to give me a big thumbs up, and leave me a comment, and please subscribe
if you have not already, and I will see you in the next one!

How to Be a Better Communicator | Truly Social with Tara - Duration: 6:16.
Ah...communication.
We all do it.
In fact, I'm communicating with you RIGHT NOW.
But here's the thing about communication - though it seems to be the simplest thing
in the world, something we're taught when we're young - something that we have deeply ingrained
in our human selves - SO many people seem to struggle with it SO much.
"So.. umm.. you wanna...uh....um..." Peter Parker
"Wanna what?" Mary Jane.
"I don't know" Amazing Spider-man
Whether it's trying to pitch your idea to a potential customer, explain something important
to someone unfamiliar with a concept, or even just getting the word out about what you are
working on, communication can be tricky.
"It's not easy that's for sure and I don't have the best track record" Juno
[Scene from Whiplash]
So, today's theme is all about the ways in which I've observed companies and people
failing miserably at communicating and what to do about it.
Let's roll.
"Autobots roll out!" Transformers
My name is Tara and this is ...Truly Social.
The first and most frequent way I see people and companies failing at communication is
by assuming that people are following along with what you are doing.
You've heard the old saying, "Assume makes an ass out of U and Me," right?
Well, as crass as the saying is, it's true!
The only people who care what you are doing are your competitors and your mom.
For everyone else?
Well, they have a lot of things on their minds.
You need to communicate clearly and effectively.
And no, posting it as a Facebook update doesn't count.
People are still bound to miss it.
"I must have blinked and missed it' Titus, Kimmy Schmidt
I have a video that's all about this subject.
The second most frequent way I see communications fail is when someone treats their audience
like they are idiots.
"I'm smart you're dumb, I'm big you're little I'm right you're wrong and there's nothing
you can do about it" Matilda
Even when the information is dense, or tricky, you need to treat your audience with respect.
Too many messages either talk down or at the recipients.
People aren't generally stupid, they just don't have time to unravel big concepts and
ideas that you've worked for years on. It's YOUR job to make
the message clear and interesting.
The third communication blunder is about not listening.
"You're not even listening to me!"
"No, I heard you. You said a bunch of words, right? Look at this!" Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Yes! You heard that right.
Communication isn't a one-way stream.
It's about listening WAY more than it is about speaking.
By listening, you know what is on people's minds.
By listening, you understand what makes your audience tick.
By listening, you hear feedback and improve your own messaging.
By listening, you know that right now probably not a good time to post that message
because the news is melting down. Again.
[Spongebob yelling and melting down]
So, then how do you become a good communicator?
Number one: Know your audience.
That means listening (like I just said) on a regular basis and understanding what
they are thinking, dreaming, worried about...
It means that you understand their language and rules of engagement.
It also means that you know when to communicate and when to stay silent.
"Alright, zip it" Dr. Evil "You can't even..." Scott
"Zip it!" Dr. Evil, "Z-zih! Zip!" Austin Powers
Sometimes NOT communicating is the best communication course of all.
Number two: Share MORE.
It seems pretty straight forward, but the more you share and the more broadly you share
it, the more likely your audience is to get a glimpse into what you're working on
and, potentially, become interested.
I put out these videos every week and I have close associates and friends who are surprised
that I post them weekly as they only see them now and again.
Number three: Be relevant.
When you DO share, make sure what you share connects to what people care about and understand.
Tie the message back to what they know.
When someone pitches their startup idea, for instance, they will sometimes tie it back
to what the investor would already know.
So: "We're the uber for babysitting." or "It's like Spotify, but for books."
Number four: Make it a story.
Stories are the- trojan horses of the message world.
When you package your message in an interesting story, it will stick.
Even better if you tell a story that really connects with the listener.
Something that they can relate to.
If you can connect their experience with yours, your message will stick even better.
"That's an attention getter" Smokey and the Bandit
And number five: Get out of your echo chamber.
This one seems pretty self-evident, but it can be one of the hardest things to do.
I see people do this all of the time and stay in their comfort zone,
and only talk to people that already understand their message.
Therefore, never evolve.
I make it a regular practice to tell my story or convey my message way
outside of my usual network and comfort zone. This way I can learn how to get
more and more clear.
It's messy at first, and uncomfortable. But after talking to enough people and hearing
what they repeat back to me when they start to understand,
I start to recognize what my most clear message sounds like.
And number six: Stop being so precious.
"My. Precious. AHHH!" Gollum, Lord of the Rings
In order to get an idea across, sometimes you have to drop the complexities of
that message.
Let your message get a foot in the door and, once you are in, THEN layer on the nuances
and subtleties and all of the ways in which it's different.
"Smooth, very smooth stuff, very classy, I'm learning a lot from you right now."
Always Sunny in Philadelphia
There are so many people trying to get their ideas heard and messages across every day
and most of these communications fail.
"What We've got here is a failure to communicate" Cool Hand Luke
Good communicators are few and far between, but it's important to learn from them because
a message or an idea is no good without an audience who understands it.
My name is Tara and this has been ...Truly Social.

recording the work the filming
Morning. Oh super former wife three talking to border Patrol agents trying to report it on Saturday
And maybe also we haven't done anything. I'll talk to them and haven't seen the corner

Want about an issue like no more and don't come and tell me that a lot of people are here illegally
And we're just trying to have a vacation. What is wrong with that?
That's not the point. Is that is that the reason why we're we we got pulled over it?
But there is no reason there is no reason to call board approach
And we're not even we're not even close to the border. Are you kidding me right now?
Hello
New plan is trying to tell me that we been
keeping halt because my husband is here illegally and
We're just trying to have a completion
This is the first time we have gone to the beach
But that is that the reason that we got pulled over
Police no no, no police. Have no right and asking a person's immigration status. No, they don't
That what?
Please police has no right to ask for people's immigration status. You know that right that's illegal
That's unconstitutional. I know my right I
know my right I

This this mister ontiveros had no right of asking my husband if he was here illegally or not
That's unconstitutional. I
Know my rights. Yes, it is
Yes, it is it is unconstitutional
are you who are you are you just telling me are you just telling me that he's going to be flown to jail just because
We can't legally we haven't done anything. We're trying to go to the beach. We're trying to have a vacation family time
No, no this person
Just pull this over because our lighting point was not showing in the front and let me tell you something. It's on the damn dashboard
Okay, game thinking my husband looks like a fucking Mexican is that the reason what we call bowled over
Then why do we get pulled over?
When did you talk to your officer ontiveros? Did you ask him? Why you got one you pull this over?
Well if this gentleman obviously called you for a reason right? I mean, you must have know him
We're not even close to the border. Are you kidding me right now, I?
Know where the u.s. Border patrol is there is no reason to be calling you guys. We're just trying to have a vacation no
An officer is not allowed to ask a person's immigration status. That's unconstitutional. That's against the law
So why did you why did he have to ask my husband to immigration status?
You're not understanding. You're not understanding. That's unconstitutional
What maybe you're not understanding that we're not doing anything? We're not criminals. We're not any we're not doing anything
We're good people we work hard
this guy just pulled us over because my license plate weren't on the front there on the
Dashboard and he's like he has a free was a willingness to have summons for the regression status no
No, he doesn't
Police police are not allowed to do that. That's only ice
That's only ice okay. I know my right
He has life, too. It is a matter if he's undocumented he has right
And they prison she ambushed him are you here illegally how long have you been living here?
He has no right for him to ask me out asking him those questions
No, he doesn't not because he's not he's not ice they should live guys just police off. He's just a police officer
