BREAKING: Many DEAD, At Least 30 Victims So Far In Horrific Manhattan Attack – Here's
What We Know.
It's not even Halloween night but the horror has already begun to unfold in Manhattan,
New York this afternoon, leaving multiple people dead so far and at least 30 injured
just a few blocks from the World Trade Center.
One person is now in custody and information is starting to look like a potential terror
attack.
Witnesses are revealing that they saw and it's getting worse by the second as eyewitness
accounts continue to come out.
New York Daily News reports:
A number of people were shot near Stuyvesant High School Tuesday afternoon, police said,
and one person was taken into custody.
Police were investigating reports of up to four people shot dead.
Witness Frank Brito, 45, told the Daily News he saw two trucks crash into each other and
then a heavy set man get out of one in a blue tracksuit and chase someone, firing five or
six times.
Reports of an active shooter came in about 3 p.m.
"Oh my god I just heard gun shots and ran with my dog," pop singer Josh Groban tweeted.
"Downtown.
F—."
"I work on chambers street," el_dorado91 tweeted.
"Shots came from Chambers and West Street.
Someone who was eyewitness said cab driver fired shots."
The Daily Mail explains more as witnesses express the horror they saw on Twitter:
At least one officer has been shot and is expected to make a recovery.
The details of other injuries are not known.
Singer Josh Groban also tweeted after hearing 'gun shots' while out walking his dog.
"Oh my god I just heard gun shots and ran with my dog.
Downtown.
F***," he said.
Simultaneous reports of the same incident suggested that a truck drove into the bicycle
lane and mowed down cyclists and pedestrians.
Others ran for their lives as they watched the truck plow into pedestrians after veering
off the road.
"I saw the car crash so I ran up the bridge," a witness at the scene told PIX11's Myles
Miller.
"When I ran up the bridge, I saw this dude with two guns.
The guy with the two guns, for some reason, was running around.
He was getting chased.
And then all of the sudden, four shots went off and we all just started running."
"A car just ran over 2 people and then crashed into a school bus, one person on scene tweeted.
I see two dead bodies and Citibikes on the floor destroyed."
The NYPD could not give further detail immediately on Tuesday afternoon.
Shocking video footage from the scene showed cyclists lying on the ground with their bikes
smashed in to pieces around them.
By-passers were seen tending to them as they awaited medical attention.
Within minutes of the first reports, there was an enormous police and fire service presence
at the site.
Initial reports say the deadly driver was a Muslim cab driver although that has yet
to be confirmed.
For now, one person is in custody after what appears to be a deliberate attack.
The motive has yet to be known and we will continue to update on this attack as more
information unfolds.
This is now the second deliberate attack today on a crowd of people, which can't be ironic
given the Halloween holiday.
The first took place last night when gunmen opened fire in a London nightclub.
Halloween poses a particularly terrifying threat for attack as it's easy for assailants
to disguise themselves and get away with mass murder in a crowd.
That's what a group of shooters just did overnight, dressed in clown and ghost masks,
when armed with machine guns they went into a packed club in London, England where a rave
was underway.
Horrifying footage caught what happened next when they opened fire on everyone inside and
showered the crowd with bullets.
Then something really strange happened.
Express in the U.K. reports:
Gunmen dressed in Halloween masks opened fire on revelers at an illegal rave in London last
night.
Horrifying footage shows vile thugs dressed in clowns and ghost masks using automatic
weapons to unleash a shower of bullets on clubbers leaving a man and woman seriously
injured.
The video also shows the shock moment a man returns fire with a handgun.
A 41-year-old man was shot in the leg, and a woman in her twenties in the chest, at the
Money Move party in Leyton, East London, during the fracas.
Police have confirmed the man is in a stable condition, and the female victim did not suffer
life-threading injuries.
It's strange but incredible that with that many people in close contact that everyone
was relatively spared inside, save for the two that were injured – but not a single
death.
Even the injuries were not as detrimental as they could have been but that doesn't
make the attack any less frightening.
The report explains more as well as some alarming discoveries of the incident.
A nearby business owner told the Sun: "It looked like it was a gangland execution gone
wrong".
One clubber said they saw "at least four guns" being used during the horror attack.
They said around 100 people trapped inside as the gunmen had blocked off the road with
a car, stopping party goers from fleeing.
Video of the aftermath of the attack shows a woman using a belt as a tourniquet on a
wounded man.
"Officers, including firearms officers, attended the scene and discovered a 41-year-old
man with a gunshot wound to his left leg."He has been conveyed to an east London hospital
by London Ambulance Service where his condition is described as stable."Officers were then
made aware of a female, believed to be in her 20s, who had self-presented at another
east London hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Her condition is described as not life-threatening or life-changing."A crime scene was put
in place and an investigation has been launched by Trident officers."The venue, on an industrial
estate, is reportedly used as an African church but is often hired out for raves.The shooters
have not been identified, however, London has become a hotbed of hate for Islamic terror
after the U.K. has allowed Muslim refugees into their country in droves.
Much of Europe is unrecognizable as it now looks like the Middle East.
London has become a target for repeat terror attacks and it's been reported that the
Islamic State was particularly impressed by what Vegas shooter Paddock pulled off and
wasn't shy about their plans to replicate his mode of operation.
This only increased the terror warning to avoid massive open-air gatherings.Despite
the fact that this similar attack didn't take place on our soil, there's no stopping
it from occurring here.
It's probably not "if" it will happen here, but "when."
The FBI concealing crucial information on this and refusing to speak on the massacre
moving forward dismantles citizens' faith in the system and that we're protected.
One has to wonder what they are hiding and why and it's a pretty concerning thing that
copycat attacks are already taking place and this London one was probably just a trial
one for what's coming to America.

How to convert text to uppercase from the shell?
Well, that seems a pretty basic question, isn't it?
But like always when talking about the shell, there are are many different answers
to that question.
A good occasion for you to discover some standard Unix tools you may have missed -- or to practice
a little bit with the Bash...
The canonical tool to convert characters from a file is the `tr` command.
Strictly speaking, `tr`, like most other commands I will use today, is a FILTER.
Simply said, you will need an input redirections to feed data into that command from a file,
and an output redirection to capture its result.
That command explicitly replaced any letter in the a to z range by its uppercase equivalent.
If you prefer, you may use a standard character class name instead of an explicit range
it does not change anything HERE
Another tool you could use is `dd`
`dd` has the reputation of being a dangerous tool since it can be used to wipe out entire
disks in just one command.
But at its core, it is just a very fast tool to copy data from a file-like object
to another one.
While copying data, `dd` can also apply some simple transformations to them.
Like converting the characters case:
For the sake of completeness, I cannot avoid mentioning here the standard sed YANK command.
But it is just awful to use since it does not support character classes:
So, do we have working solutions?
Well, apparently, yes...
Unfortunately, all of these solutions suffer from the same issue: they will not properly
handle accented letters and other diacritical marks:
To see the problem, let's replay those commands, but this time on a text written in French:
Obviously, that was not the result I expected.
So, let's see now if AWK is better suited to handle internationalization issues:
Great!
This time it really works.
But why?
Well, in fact, there are two requirements for a tool to properly handle accented
letters: - First, it must understand the character
ENCODING used to store the text data.
Specifically, in my case, it should understand UTF-8.
Which appends to be a variable length encoding.
Because it was unable to deal properly with multi-byte characters, the GNU version of
tr I used above failed in converting accentuated letters.
And `dd` suffered from the same limitation since, by design, it works at the byte level.
- second, to properly handle case conversion, at tool must HONOR what is considered as a
lower case character and how to match it with its corresponding upper case character
IN A GIVEN LANGUAGE.
To do that, a compliant tool must examine the value the LC_CTYPE locale setting.
But, let's see how the behavior of awk will change if I temporarily switch the `C` locale:
Suddenly, AWK is no longer aware of accentuated letters.
Because the C locale only defines conversion rules for the characters in the US-ASCII range.
So, is there other locale-aware ways of converting characters to upper cases?
You probably remember I already explained
the standard sed YANK command was not the best tool for the job.
But the popular GNU implementation of sed has a nonstandard substitution modifier that
WILL work:
That GNU extension to sed is strongly inspired by its Perl counterpart:
Finally, for relatively small texts, you can directly use the Bash to convert character
case while getting the content of a variable
Or if you prefer, you can declare a variable to AUTOMATICALLY convert its content to uppercase
So, starting from an apparently simple question, we've seen several different solutions.
Some of them being better than others at handling internationalization issues.
But maybe you could find other ways to convert from lower case to upper case letters.

you are adopting the dog you are changing the world that's the big
picture you don't need to be a hero the dog doesn't care about any of those at
least for the first year a dog that your adopt doesn't care about any of those all
it cares is am I being taken cared of am i being fed am I being loved am I being
treated properly am i being trained questions like that are the most
important questions that a dog asks when you decide to adopt a rescue dog you
have to understand that for a year you need to be physically emotionally and
mentally be available for that dog that you're gonna adopt you can't rely on
others to take care of the dog that you're gonna adopt the dog that you're
choosing to come and live with you and become part of your life
needs you need to make a connection with someone or a family and needs to be
connected to you that dog who you're adopting needs a lot of emotional
physical and mental support from you you have to remember the previous owners
they gave up on this dog that dog has been separated from the original owners
then has been living in the shelter which is a horrible place to be maybe
this dog was adopted by a couple of other families and then given up and
brought back and now eventually you have selected this dog and you've brought
this dog to your home if you don't do what you're supposed to do and if you're
not going to be there for that dog for at least a year that dog is gonna have
emotional and mental traumas so here's a breakdown of reality and what you need
to provide when you bring a dog home you probably need to walk your dog two or
three times a day every day 365 days a year
for about half an hour to 45 minutes that's a lot of walk
you need to provide those kind of exercises for that dog at least for the
first year you need to be attending training classes you may have to hire a
dog trainer to help you with training and addressing behavioral issues which
there would be additional cost there need to be spending money on your dog's
vet visits they're not cheap every visit is about $100 more or less need to spend
on a good healthy balanced diet for your dog you need to be spending money on
bedding accessories various stuff that your dog is gonna need toys treats
additional traveling expenses with your dog and finally your dog is going to
need a lot of love and affection although you are adopting your dog and
had horrible past you can share affection at the wrong time and the
wrong place if so it won't cause your dog to develop bad behavioral issues
that's a breakdown of what the reality would be when you adopt a dog so ask
yourself are you ready to have a dog in your life on my next video I'm gonna
talk about how to select a dog that is ideal for you and your family and much

Mixing Electric Guitars in Hip Hop Beats - Duration: 21:42.
hey what's going on out there I'm Sean Divine hope you all are doing well
today I have a new tutorial and we're gonna talk about mixing guitars in
hip-hop or urban genres so a really fun thing to mix I think it has a lot of
similarities to vocals in terms of some of the processing but you can actually
get even crazier in terms of the creative things that you can do with
guitars obviously amplifying and distorting a lot of fun so let's go
ahead and dive in let me let you hear the guitars right now just dry this
is a track that I produced with Jurd Beats who he played these guitars in the
track and he sent them to me dry and I'm gonna show you how I mixed them for this
track which is "Not Just a Number" but let me just play back what we have here dry
so just some nice clean strums they're nice chords so real
quickly let's talk about how these are recorded you're gonna notice that they
are in pairs now these are the same guitar line but they're recorded in two
separate takes now the reason why I get Jurd to do this is it gives me a lot
more flexibility creatively in the mixing process so a couple of reasons
for this would be to have some freedom in terms of stereo width if we want to
do some wide panning with the takes or if we wanted to do some parallel
processing all right so let's dive into mixing these first clean guitars for the
verse and what I'm gonna do is I'm just gonna mix one of them for now and then
I'm gonna copy what we do on this channel to the other and then we can
work on panning the reason why I do this guitar rig which is the guitar processor
I'm going to use has kind of a different way of processing stereo so anyways
let's go ahead and put the the first effect on the chain here which is going
to be Guitar Rig I also use waves GTR as well as a lot of the stock plugins in
logic so whatever you want to use for amplifying and processing your guitars
it's up to you but this is a good choice so we're gonna go ahead and jump into
our components and before I add anything I do want to point out that I am using
the gate up here so we're gonna just go ahead and bring this up here and just
get rid of any kind of unwanted noise guitars when you tend to do a DI or
you're doing amplification even outside and then DI and you tend to get some
noise so we want to go ahead and gate that out
so the first thing I'm going to add is just a compressor just to kind of keep the signal in check I'm going to leave it pretty much where it is right
now turn the sustain down a little bit
now let's go ahead and add our amplifier I'm gonna select this lead 800 and we're
just gonna give it just a bit of bite this one's not gonna be really distorted
or anything we're just more kind of giving this a little bit of sizzle so
I'm going to turn the other preamp and the master down
so let's go down to the matched cabinet I'm gonna select a different one let's -
maybe
so pretty top-heavy kind of toned but that overall is what I'm looking for in
terms of the amplifier now the other thing that I really like to do with
clean guitar is to give them some width give them a little bit of texture is to
do a chorus so I'm going to go ahead and go down here and select the the chorus
flanger module here and we're going to turn the intensity and the width down
so just something nice and subtle there yeah that sounds about right in terms of
the tone I think I'm gonna need to adjust our volume and give us a little
bit more gain

okay so I'm gonna go ahead now and do some EQ I guitars you know it's similar
to vocals we tend to have some low build up that we don't want and then guitars
just tend to be really mid frequency heavy and they can suck out a lot of
space in your mix if you're not careful so we're gonna go in and just remove
some of that I'm gonna roll off a little bit more intensely on the lows as well
than we would a vocal usually I'm more rolling off below like 200 you don't
want to get too much into there because then you start to get the the presence
or the excuse me the impact of some of the low mids in the guitar so let's just
go about right there
so I'm taking out some 1k 2k and then I'm trying to just bring out any kind of
high-end sizzle we can get out of 5K to 10K even though it doesn't look
like there's really that much there it will just give us a little bit of a
boost and then beyond that I think we'll probably want to add some reverb so for
that let's just use a stock reverb out of logic so let's go just go here and
let's try maybe
silver verb sure it's pretty nice actually that's just a stock plug-in so
now what I'm going to do is I'm just gonna drag this stuff over and here's
where we're gonna do some of our stereo processing and I'm gonna pan these I'm
gonna say maybe like 30 and 30 let's try that turn this one up a little bit this
is a little quieter nice
so now let's do one more thing let me just put a delay on just one of these
and this is gonna give us a nice little effect I'm just gonna put a really quick
delay we'll leave this pretty much as is I'm going to turn this down a little bit
and we'll solo it
yes that's pretty much it on the clean guitars now let's go ahead and move into
getting a little crunchy a little more dirty on the distorted guitars let me
play back the distorted guitars just as they were sent to me
so as you can hear they're not processed yet no amplification no distortion or
anything so we're gonna do a similar kind of process to what we did with the
clean guitars we're gonna get more gritty in terms of the tone we're going
for with these so again I'm just going to process them one at a time for now so
let's go ahead and go down here to this first one and we're going to again put
our guitar rig on here and I'm adjust the gate the same way we did with the
clean
and let's go over to our components let's go to amplifier and where's the
one I'm looking for actually it's gonna be a distortion it
is this screamer so this is a pretty aggressive kind of sound but actually I
think it replicates the tube screamer which was a guitar pedal from I believe
was Ibanez and I think they still make them but it just has a really cool sound
to it
boom instant grunge rock
so I just turned the tone and the drive down just a little bit so now we're
going to send that to our amplifier and we're gonna use this jump this is a cool
amplifier cabinet set here
so I just turned our treble on our presence up I want these to be really
crunchy and wide
so now I'm going to use this control room on this cabinet and let's go ahead
and switch the cabinet model to vintage 4 by 12 V 2 and I'm going to turn down
some of the other mics here I just want to use the 57 let's say the 421 and that
funny yeah that should be good try that
so I just panned the 421mic and then the 20
so using the control room cabinet here it just gave us a little bit darker tone
a little bit less digital
not so in-your-face so we just brought that back and that's
going to just help in terms of the mix and I'm thinking about mixing vocals
over this so just things like that to consider there
so finally let's add a delay and let's try something in the Guitar Rig he's got
this cool psych delay so we'll put that in here
and I'm gonna keep the time about where it is
something subtle just fast just to give it a little bit of wit there so then
let's uh let's hear what just that one sounds like in our mix
all right so I'm going to do the same thing here I'm going to just copy our
settings over here to this duplicate and I'm going to wide pan these because I
want these to be really big really gritty and then we'll mix these in
finally with this one going back to why I process them in pairs and kind of duel
my separate channels like this I'm gonna change the amp sound just a little bit
so that this is gonna again just kind of differentiate things and give us an even
wider bigger sound for the guitars
so for this one I turned the psych delay off gave us a little bit more direct
sound with our cabinets and then we've had a little bit more trouble in
presence again just to give us some contrast
so I just matched the level on that brought the fader down a little bit
alright so the last thing I want to show you with mixing guitars for your hip-hop
beats is we have this last hook which is kind of the climax if you will in this
track and there's a couple of other distorted crunchy guitars going on that
are that are added and then there's now an octave lead and so we need to try to
differentiate that and there's just a lot fill in the frequency space here
with the guitars so let me just play that back without the octave right now
so now we have then octave which is just a higher octave
and we need to figure out how to get that sitting on top of all the other
guitars so the beauty of mixing that's exactly what we're gonna do so let's go
ahead and load up Guitar Rig on this channel and let's build something custom
for this octave lead that's gonna help it really stand out so first thing I
want to do is just go ahead and let's once again use our trusty tube screamer
but for this we're gonna turn it up a little bit
and then let's try a really heavy ampere let's try maybe the grad of fire
I like that modern that's pretty cool and let me go back and do our control
room here
that sounds pretty cool
so now I'm gonna add let's do a reverb and so we'll select spring reverb I'm
gonna take that and get rid of it
a pretty big space there
so I just panned it just slightly +5 here so let's just hear all of our
guitars now with that octave on it
alright y'all so that is a quick look into mixing guitars for hip hop beats

that you can get really creative you can use all kinds of different effects and
modules to give you the tone you're looking for and the beauty of using DI
and having all these great plugins these days is the options are absolutely

How to Make The Best Turkey Gravy From Scratch ~ Easy Recipe for Making Homemade Gravy - Duration: 5:10.
What is the most enjoyed and the most feared food to make at the holiday table?
Turkey Gravy! I'm Tess and I'll show you how to make the best and most flavorful
turkey gravy... two ways. Welcome to my Thanksgiving video recipe series. (intro music)
A good and flavorful gravy starts with a good meat stock or broth.
I saved the turkey neck bone, trimmings and giblets and I'm placing them in my
slow cooker along with some vegetables. My turkey is brining overnight and I'm
running my slow cooker to make some broth at the same time. I'm starting by
adding four cups of chicken broth to the slow cooker and in goes my turkey bones,
trimmings and giblets. And just a reminder that you'll be able to find
this recipe, the list of ingredients and much more in the show more section below.
I've included links to where you can purchase online some of the ingredients
and equipment that I use in this video recipe. If you have a chance please check
it out. Now I'm putting in the vegetables or the
aromatics and I'm using a mixture of onions, carrots and celery. No need to
skin the onion and I'm also using the tops of the celery as they add a lot of flavor.
A little salt and black pepper. I'm not adding much salt as I like to
add the salt when I'm cooking with the broth. I'm filling the crock pot with
water, cooking on low for eight hours or on high for four hours.
This is one way to make a flavorful broth for the gravy. A couple video
recipes of my Thanksgiving series was how to brine a turkey and how to roast a
turkey. If you haven't already seen those video recipes please take a moment to
watch.
This is the bottom of my roaster after I took out the turkey. There is lots of
flavor in that broth. You can see I had some aromatics with the turkey roasting
on top. I'm going to take out all the veggies and strain the broth. This will
also make a nice broth for our flavorful and delicious gravy. If you have a grease
separator this broth is ready to make the gravy. I'm not ready to make the
gravy so I refrigerated the broth. You can see the fat floated to the top and
it's skimmed off easily. The rich turkey broth has become jelly-like and
it looks good. I'm saving the turkey fat to show you one way to make the turkey gravy.
There are two ways you can make a gravy. You can make a slurry to thicken
the gravy, OR you can make a roux. The first way I'm showing you is a
slurry method. Each recipe calls for four cups of turkey broth so if you don't
have enough you can add water or some chicken or vegetable broth. You gotta
have lots of gravy at the table! In a bowl I'm adding one cup of cold water
and a quarter cup of all-purpose flour. Giving that a good mix. You can use
cornstarch for this slurry but I prefer the flour. Bringing my broth up to a boil,
giving my slurry a good mix and pouring in. Stirring and you will already start
to see the gravy thicken. Bringing up to a boil and turning down to a low simmer.
I'm going to let this simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes. The liquid will reduce
a little concentrating all those wonderful flavors and the gravy will thicken.
Remember to taste for seasonings along the way. After the gravy is done,
removing from the heat and letting it rest for 15 minutes before serving.
The second way of making gravy is with a roux. My roux I'm using the turkey fat
but you can use butter. I have my heat on medium, in goes my flour, cooking and
stirring for a couple minutes. I'm turning my heat up to high and slowly
adding in my turkey broth. Stirring and you will see the gravy start to thicken.
Once all the broth is in there and the gravy is at a boil I'm turning my heat
to low and simmer in for about 15 minutes.
Check for any seasonings and add salt and pepper to taste. This time I'm going
to add some of the Kitchen Bouquet for a little color. Again the flavor will
concentrate and the gravy will thicken nicely. After done remove from the heat
and let it cool for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
The gravy has a nice rich turkey flavor and is nice and creamy. A great addition
to the Holiday table. I hope you give this easy turkey gravy a try and enjoy.

to uncover property that maybe other people may not you'll be able to find

And also keeping 2 Army Knives is very hard. I don't like Bamboo Spear and Army Knife because they worth nothing in the late game.
If you spend too much time farming two of these weapons, you fall behind as you are unable to farm other items.
Furthermore, Army Knife's item rarity is too low that additional damage from throwing weapon is worthless. I will show this later.
Anyways, you need to have at least a main weapon and body armor, so let's make Progressive Knife and Sheet Metal Armor.
I will try to throw as many weapons as I can.
