Hi everybody! You join me in the brand new Jaguar F-Pace!
Jaguar Land Rover VR dealership, here in Bari
gave us the opportunity to come and film it!
I'm in this particular F-Pace because this is the Touch Pro version
It has a central 10'' touch screen
and a 12.3'' driver display
Classic Jaguar steering wheel:
automatic gearbox paddles, buttons for cruise control, speed limiter
and on the other side buttons for the infotainment, music and phone
Let's turn on these screens
The driver's one has come to life
All the infos about speed, fuel consumption
and all the indicators
In the middle here's the automatic gearbox rotor
here there are buttons for sports settings or eco ones
Another one to turn the ESP off
Let's turn on this screen
Ok, this too came to life
Here's this beautiful panoramic roof
leather interiors
Here's the A/C zone
with these nice LEDs
Now the screen is on
It has a very intuitive touch screen, it gives an incredible feedback
let's take a look at the maps
Full of details
it has a nice feedback, too
this touchscreen is better than the ones on many smartphones
We are in Bari
there's the sea
There are many other controls:
phone, A/C, on/off
let's turn it off because it distracts me
the music, you can insert SD cards in the car, and the car itself has a 10gb hard disk
Beside the living room features
it has the personal computers' ones
Seats are very comfortable
let's give another look at the leather interiors
and I open the door
to let you see the Meridian sound system
We are driving the Jaguar F-Pace
Which exact model is this? Which engine?
This is an F-Pace R-Sport
2.0, turbo diesel, 180hp, automatic gearbox, AWD
All wheel drive, I see the paddles behind the wheel: how many speed has this gearbox?
This is an 8-speed ZF gearbox
Back in the showroom we had the chance to explore its infotainment, this has the Touch Pro
Exactly, the Touch Pro has two displays, a 10'' one in the middle
and a 12.3'' one behind the wheel
from which we can see the map on full screen
and when you select the dynamic driving mode
the rev counter appears in the middle of the screen
to let you focus on a more sports driving
How about the performances of this F-Pace?
Excellent road holding
its 80% aluminum monocoque chassis
gives a perfect weight distrubution: 50% on the front axle
50% on the back axle
Intelligent AWD system by Jaguar Land Rover
It gives more power to the rear wheels
distributing the torque in just 165 milliseconds to the best gripping wheels
Blocking the sliding wheels, giving power to the gripping ones
Driving sensations are...
Excellent! Having an aluminum chassis it has zero torsion
so you feel like driving on a rail road
Also from the passenger seats it feels like a well settled car
Enzo how do you feel in the back seats?
Very comfortable!
Ok we inverted our positions, now I'm the one who drives
Right now I'm enjoying very much the paddles behind the wheel
I'm driving on Bari's bumpy roads
and let me say:
the driving comfort is excellent
The car drives very well, the 8-speed automatic gearbox is really fast
now let's make a turn
We are at a red light, we settled the navi system
so I see in front of me a full screen map on the 12.3'' screen
I find it very useful, because in today's cars, technologic and full of gizmos
the driver is very often distracted
This map in front of the driver, though, allows the driver to be 100% focused on the driving
I can keep my eyes on the road
slightly move them towards the map
while driving in total safety
I saw before in the showroom, this button with the checkered flag, for the driving modes
Yes: Dynamic, Comfort, Eco and Snow/Winter
You can move among these modes with these indicators
here's the ASPC, All Surface Progress Control
it works along with the cruise control, from 3 to 30 kph
the car accelerates by itself, distributing in a better way the traction to the wheels
for example, on a frozen road
You don't have to accelerate, the car does it by itself
How is this system called?
ASPC, All Surface Progress Control
A progressive control for all kind of surfaces
Now we are in dynamic mode
with a sports gearbox setting
I admit it:
the driving comfort and the road holding, especially on these bumpy roads
makes you feel so comfortable!
This huge touch screen
of course Roberto is dealing with it so I don't get distracted
is comfortable to use, too!
You can find all the settings of the car
the engine, the steering wheel, the gearbox, the suspensions too, I suppose
Exactly, you can modify the single driving settings
to let the engine, the gearbox and the steering wheel react in a more dynamic way
It has adaptive suspensions, you can change them between Comfort and Dynamic modes
Based on infinite calculations, the car becomes stiffer, depending on surface
our driving mode and speed
Now let's head back to the showroom
