Hi and welcome to Revientor Reborn, this is DCS and we are in a F86 Sabre, Today I will speak about the Landing,
we´ll start with a typical landing, this plane weigh now 14500 Lb, extra fuel depleted and 2 missiles, a normal return
to land you have to get around 110 knots, depending how much the plane weigh, do never use the flaps, or landing gear above 180 knots
today keys are, G for the landing gear, with left shift and left control F for flaps, left shift/control B for the airbrake in/out
you have the air brake in the throttle in this upper part
flaps here and landing gear here, also to extend the light it´s here
all of that under 180 knots, also we lock the visor gyros, and the radar and visor system off
go for 2000 feet, looks when the throttle is on the full back there is a tone, that is if you are going to land, you do not have the landing gear out
you will notice that when you are ready to land ,
external light in flash, slow a little.. speedbrake out
when the airbrake is out the nose of the plane is down, the opposite with the flaps,
there is a reference, about 4nm, at 2000 above the airbase, using the visor the airbase in the middle you get you path to land safely
never have the engine under 55% because the slow speed to increase the thrust
I have to keep the latitude, in this base, the coast is around 4,5nm, then we can use that reference, I prefer have already all out, gear, flaps... when reaching that point
Iam trimming up while flaps are getting out, and now with the G the plane looks like loose speed brutally
when flaps down, do not forget move the handle to the center posit
I have to trim more...
because I am flying too slow I will start the descending phase a bit later, this "way" if ro 160 knots aprox.
some trim down, each speed change need a trim adjustment, look the runway almost in the middle of the visor
when you are going fast you must put the airbase over the mid of the visor, if you are slow, put it under the mid of the visor
I have to go some right but it´s ok, and now!!!
when you look the runway have this view, the end of the runway on the top line of the visor
it´s the time to pull up more to make a soft hit with the ground,
also you can set IDLE to touch around 120 , 110 knots
and there slow... I love this brake system you can pull all the way down and the wheels do not driff
you can see some break marks on the runway but its good braking system
this plane do not require a long runway to land, now its time to heavy landing
I forget to tell you to extend external lights, now I hope do not forget it
the heavy landing is like the normal one, but must be softer when you touch the ground
this plane weigh 19717 lb 4 fuel tanks... balbla...
then I need more speed to generate lift
gear down, flaps out, some trim, I am under 2000 feet, flaps locked , 150 knots, I am almost in the reference, but I will keep,
around 3nm, we start doing the same reference maneuver, and the runway in the mid of the visor,
it the same but touching soft... for that in the final phase, we´ll be closer to the ground, now, when in a normal landing you tray to recover, I will continue to be close to the ground and pull up later
now when the runway it´s almost parallel you can pull up, very soft... and look it´s kind of hard touch...
there is no damage, but this landing gear is very easy to break,
and the cokpit gear down indicator indicate the failure
there is no damage,
that was the heavy landing, the parking brake never works as expected, lol,
in theory you brake use the handle release the brakes and release the handle and that all, but you can see that many times the handle do not keep the out position
I hope you liked the tutorial, there is no need for a long runway also in this landing, the half of the runway, and the normal landing only 1/3 of runway
subscribe give a feedback and bye happy, bye bye
