Youtube daily report w Feb 6 2018

This model shows the largest airship of its time -- and perhaps the grandest, the most

luxurious craft ever to fly.

This is the British Airship R.101 built between 1924 and 1930 -- it was Britain's answer

to Germany's Zeppelin.

To give you an idea of its size compare it to this 747 -- one of the largest planes flying

today -- this miniature jet is the same scale as the airship model -- but the airship is

over 500 feet longer.

Now, the engineering of this airship fascinates me so much that . . .

...I wrote a book telling its story.

So, in this video I'll draw on the research for that book and use some of the old magazine

articles, newspaper clippings and . . .

... photos that I've gather over the last decade to

reveal the design choices of the ship's engineers, the daily life of a crew member,

and the opulence of the passenger areas.

But first, let's look at the grand plan for this airship.

It was to fly a regular route from England to India, connecting the countries in five

days -- ten days faster than by sea.

The airship's air rival, the plane, linked London to Karachi, then in India, in sixteen

days--but with frequent stops to refuel.

This airship was one of two built by Britain about a decade after the end of the war, when

they embarked on an ambitious airship building program.

They constructed the airship R.101, but also R.100 -- the "R" stands for "rigid"

-- which were to carry 50 passengers at a cost close to that of first class

in an ocean liner.

One proponent estimated a ticket from Australia to the United Kingdom would cost ten pounds.

The British spend over two million pounds in the 1920s to create commercial airships.

Their competitor was Germany's Graf Zeppelin.

It was forty feet longer, but R.101 had a larger cross section and so held 30 percent

more hydrogen and carried more passengers.

To put these ships in perspective here's the Hindenburg,

built about seven years after R.101.

The British intended R.101 and its sibling ship to be the first of a fleet.

Ultimately the British envisioned an "all-red girdle of air transport" that reached more

than halfway round the globe

-- red was the striking color of Empire territories on official maps.

Now, this map illustrates that vision.

At the bottom, in the legend, it reads: "Possible Imperial Airship Routes."

The British envisioned using airships to link the far-flung corners of their colossal Empire.

It covered a quarter of the world and encompassed a fifth of its population.

R.101 promised British dominance of the air: to rule the skies as British Dreadnoughts

ruled the seas.

They planned an infrastructure of towers centered on the Royal Airship Works: West to Canada

-- Halifax, Ottawa and Quebec.

And then south to Cairo, Karachi -- at the time in India -- Cape Town, Mombasa and Melbourne

in Australia.

This vision might seem grand to us today because we often think of lighter-than-air craft as

a novelty -- a hot-air balloon or the blimps used to cover the Super Bowl -- but these

are mere shadows of the greatest of all lighter-than-air craft . . ..

. . the airship.

Unlike an airship, balloon and blimps are both pressure vessels: their shape is maintained

by the pressure of the lifting gas.

In contrast, in an airship like R.101, it's shape is formed by a metal framework.

The metal skeleton houses the hydrogen-filled balloons, called gas bags, that lift the ship.

These bags are protected by a cloth cover stretched across the framework.

The cloth cover is not, of course, gas-tight, it's purpose, instead, is to keep wind,

rain, and sun from damaging the gas bags.

This structure enables an airship to travel faster and heft a much larger payload than

a blimp or balloon.

To construct such a craft required clever engineering in the 1930s, an era before plastics.

This is best reflected in the ship's fifteen giant gas bags that held over five million

cubic feet of hydrogen -- enough to lift about 170 tons.

To construct these gas bags the engineering staff searched for a material that was

impermeable to hydrogen -- a small molecule that is notoriously difficult to contain -- yet they also needed

a material that was lightweight, flexible, yet durable.

They investigated rubber, and viscose, an early synthetic fabric, coated with latex,

but when crumpled then inflated, each of these materials cracked and leaked.

So they settled for the traditional material used to construct airship gas bags . . .

. . . oxen. More specifically, part of the intestine of an ox.

The outside of an ox's intestine is lined with a fine membrane, called the cecum, which

is thin and flexible, and through which hydrogen seeps only slowly.

The grisly work of fabricating the gas bags

was done by the women of the Royal Airship Works.

In a room reeking of rotting meat, they soaked intestines, scraped away lumps of fat with

blunt knives, soaked the skins overnight, and then scraped again.

And then glued the pieces into larger and larger sheets -- no stitching, unlike for

zeppelins -- until they had enough to wrap about an air-filled form to construct a

gas bag.

To appreciate the magnitude of their task consider how many entrails were needed to

make a bag.

The cecum of an ox is about thirty inches by six inches, a little over a square foot,

yet one of R.101's gas bags when spread flat covers 30,000 square feet -- a square

about 175 feet on a side.

So, inside that yellow circle -- the tiny dash -- is a single cecum.

So, in total they glued together for a typical gas bag some 50 or 60 thousand entrails to

create a double-walled gas bags that held 37,500 cubic feet of hydrogen, yet weighed

a mere 30 pounds.

Flammable hydrogen to fill these bags seems a poor choice for an airship, compared to

inert helium -- in principle helium lifts 93% of the weight hefted by hydrogen.

You would think the lift would drop by only 7%,

which would be a small cost to pay for safety.

Yet, for a commercial airship, hydrogen is the only choice: it allows a lighter and thus

less expensive airship to be built.

Here's why.

Let's look at the lift of R.101 with both hydrogen and helium.

A ship like R.101 carries about five million cubic feet of lifting gas, that's a gross

lift of a little over 177 tons for hydrogen and for helium about 93% of that lift, or

about 165 tons.

But that's for pure hydrogen and pure helium.

In practice the purity is less than 100%, especially for helium and so you lose several

tons, which means helium lifts only about 88% of the amount lifted by hydrogen.

Now, let's calculate the amount of payload available.

The airship's framework weighs about 113 tons.

Next, the essential crew, fuel and so on needed to operate the airship take up another

44 tons.

So, in the case of hydrogen that leaves 13 tons of payload -- lift for passengers, fuel,

freight and so on, the stuff that makes an airship commercial -- while for helium that

net payload is an astonishing minus 7 tons.

That is, the airship could not left a payload, in fact, in this example -- which is typical

-- it could not even lift the crew and fuel.

In addition, helium was tremendously expensive, some seventy times the cost of hydrogen.

Typically helium was captured at gas wells in the United States and shipped to the United

Kingdom, while hydrogen was produced on-site from steam.

The Royal Airship Works used the Lane Process, in which steam was reduced to hydrogen by

passing it over metallic iron at a high temperature.

Once lifted by the hydrogen, the airship flew at an altitude of about 2,000 feet and at

maximum of about sixty miles per hour.

The ship was powered by five heavy-oil engines housed in cars underneath the airship: two

in the front ... two near the middle … and one near the tail.

Each engine was attended by an engineer.

In the rear engine car was Joe Binks.

He's on the right here dressed in his flying suit.

For eight hours at a time Binks kept the engines in repair as he waited for orders from the

control car.

The orders were communicated via a dial labeled standby, slow, half throttle, or full throttle

-- a rotating pointer indicated the proper action, the pointer's rotation was punctuated

by a bell.

Binks worked under harsh conditions.

This illustration from a popular magazine makes it seem roomy, but in reality he couldn't

stand up full height.

This photo of the car being built makes clear how little room Binks had: The man sitting

down shows where Binks could walk, or more often shimmy along the floor, to work on the

engine.

The man in the center stands where the engine will be placed.

In this photo with the engine installed, you can see the narrow space on either side where

Binks worked.

Imagine working within a few inches from this 650 horsepower monster -- it was originally

mounted on a locomotive -- it filled the car with a sound so deafening that Binks filled

his ears with plasticine and cotton to protect his hearing.

Yet as amazing as this is, the most stunning moment of his day was getting to and from

work: As the airship zipped along at 60 plus miles per hour, Joe Binks climbed from the

belly of the ship, down a ladder into the car.

The propeller spun with such force that its prop wash could lift him parallel to the ground,

turning him into a human flag tethered only by his tenuous grip.

Not only did the British develop this novel airship, they also created the necessary infrastructure.

For example, to land this giant ship, the British developed a mooring tower because

they thought ground landing too difficult for an airship of this size, although Germany

always used ground landings for its zeppelins.

The ship approached the tower, dragging a cable, which was then hooked to the tower

cables on the ground.

And then, at the tower's base, steam-powered winches pulled the ship toward the tower.

In fifteen or twenty minutes R.101 latched to an arm extending from the tower.

And then there was a flurry of activity inside the tower head as crew secured the ship.

The mooring tower could withstand a thirty-ton pull at its top.

Each of its four legs was embedded in a piece of concrete about twelve feet square that

extended six feet into the ground.

The tower offered an easy way to supply the airship with water, fuel, and hydrogen.

Huge pumps at the base could lift 5,000 gallons of water per hour and pump fuel at 2,000 gallons

per minute from the 10,000-gallon tank buried in the ground near the tower.

At the tower passengers boarded via a flexible bridge; they had a chill-inducing view of

the ground 170 feet below.

Yet their boarding could be even more thrilling: wheels on the bottom of the bridge allowed

it to revolve around the tower as the ship swung with the wind.

Unlike the Zeppelins that preceded it, R.101 had a novel feature: The passenger rode inside

the body of the ship, not in a car hung from the ship.

They built in an elegant dining room.

The cutlery and tableware were blazoned with the Royal Airship Works crest.

As passengers dined, the airship's steward stood against a wall with his back straight

and his chin raised -- his appearance was "spick and span," said a crew member.

He planned and organized the meals: his goal was seven-course meals comparable to those

of the best London hotels.

A large, brightly lit lounge the size of a tennis court spanned the width of the airship.

Its polished wood floor gleamed in the sunlight that spilled through giant windows

port and starboard.

On this floor the airship's designers planned for passengers to fox trot all night as the

airship flew to India.

At the end of each lounge were the ships' masterstroke . . . the promenade decks . As

passengers relaxed there they enjoyed a stunning panoramic view of the ground through large

glass windows tilted at forty-five degrees.

Beyond the passengers quarters R.101 had an unusual feature for an airship . . .

. . . :a smoking room . . .

. . . even though the ship carried over five million cubic feet of flammable hydrogen.

On these delicate gas bags rested many hopes and dreams,

yet the ship was not up to the task.

The Royal Airship's technical staff concluded, after studying data from R.101's test flights

over the United Kingdom, that the ship didn't have the lift to fly to India:

it was too heavy.

Partly this was because R.101 deviated from the time-tested principles used in zeppelins.

An airship framework of that era was composed of a series of rings.

Zeppelin engineers built strong yet light frameworks from thin, flexible circular rings,

which were then stiffened by radial wires drawn taut -- the wires functioned like the

spokes of a bicycle wheel.

In R.101 the wires were eliminated, and the rings were made much thicker.

This resulted in a heavier framework.

This decreased the amount of lift available for fuel so much so that on R.101's

return trip from India, the technical staff calculated that the ship would not be able

to complete the first leg of the 2,800-mile journey from Karachi to Ismailia.

R.101's fuel, they estimated, would run out over the desert in Saudi Arabia; the ship

would float with its engines stalled 500 miles or so from the mooring tower in Egypt.

To ensure that such a failure would not occur, the technical staff devised an audacious plan.

In this photo you can see the results of that plan.

At the top is the airship in late June and at the bottom six weeks later: the ship has

been lengthened from 735 to 777 feet.

The technical staff split the ship in two, inserted a section of framework and added

a gas bags to gain enough lift to carry fuel.

A short time after R.101 was split in two and lengthened it departed the Royal Airship

Works for India.

The airship departed the mooring tower on October 4th a few minutes after 6:30 p.m.

Greenwich mean time.

On board were 54 people: Forty-eight crew or members of the Royal Airship Works, and

the rest observers and dignitaries, including Britain's Secretary of State for Air.

The purpose of this flight was to demonstrate R.101's ability to travel to India, but

as it travelled across England, over the Channel and into France, the ship encountered bruising

winds and pelting rain.

Winds so fierce that often it travelled at a ground speed of only thirty miles per hour.

At a few minutes past two in the morning about 40 miles (64 kilometers) north of Paris, R.101

chopped through the turbulent air at an altitude of 1,200 feet, just below a layer of clouds.

The cover on top of the airship split open, the ship pitched down, the ship's crew used

the elevators to restore the ship to horizontal.

It was now 500 feet above the ground.

The control car signaled for the engine power to be cut and R.101 dove nose first to the

ground, then slide into a grove of hazel and oak trees.

It burst into flames as navigational flares ignited the hydrogen.

The imposing R.101, the great machine to connect the vast geographic sweep of the British Empire,

was now a tangle of debris on the ground.

Only the rudder at the stern still stood tall.

Rags and strips of fabric hung from it and fluttered in the wind, the center section

rocking on its hinges, swinging aimlessly.

Sixty feet in the air, at the tip of the stern, almost untouched by any flames, the ship's

RAF Ensign flapped in the wind -- the Union Jack on the flag was partly burned, but the

RAF roundel was intact.

Long gone from most of the framework were the delicate gas bags and plasticized cloth

cover -- both vaporized by the raging fire.

The polished metal exterior of a crushed engine car glistened in the flames.

The collision with the ground rotated the car 180 degrees,

its propeller now facing the wrong way.

From this debris, a charred crew member rose, but then fell back into the flames.

Inside an engineer, his body carbonized, still clutching a wrench in his hand.

The ground was littered with everyday articles: suitcases, fur-lined boots, charred shaving

brushes, a tin of cigarettes, and a ticking watch.

The stores were strewn on the ground: a few loaves of bread, and a still-labeled tin of

plums, its juice leaking from the can.

After a few moments the only sound was the hiss of rain evaporating as it struck the

smoldering wreckage.

One of the few survivors -- only six of the fifty-four survived -- was Joe Binks from

the rear engine car.

The rest were buried in a communal grave near the Royal Airship Works in the United Kingdom.

Each coffin was adorned with a small label fabricated from the metal of R.101's framework.

Fourteen of the plates bore names, but the others were never identified in the wreckage.

Their coffins read: "To the memory of the unknown airman who died on October 5th."

There's a little bit more to the story: in a sense the airship flew again.

The wreckage of R.101 was hacked to pieces using blow torches, chisels and metal saws.

The compacted eighty-ton framework was transported to Sheffield, where it was melted to scrap,

and then sold to the Zeppelin Company.

They used it to create the zeppelin LZ 129, an airship better known as . . .

the Hindenburg.

Virat Kohli is someone who will go for a win come what may, says R Ashwin - Duration: 5:22.

Virat Kohli is someone who will go for a win come what may, says R Ashwin

India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwindescribed Virat Kohli as a captain with a fierce winning mentality and said that his positive body language always rubbed on the other players.

Talking to reporters after Tamil Nadu's opening match against Gujarat in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Ashwin went on to say that Kohli is now on-par with the some of the greatest captains in the game.

"He (Kohli) is someone who will go for a win come what may. He does not have a negative bone in his body, he always talks about a win, never about saving situations, we're always moving ahead.

It is good because the players know what is required from them. It gives an amazing amount of intensity to the team," Ashwin told reporters after the Group 'C' match.

"This is his first series overseas as a full-time captain. I am sure all the best captains in the past too have a set of home games.

He (Kohli) is already on par with most of the greatest captains that have played the game. It is best that we give credit to him," he said.

On the recently concluded Test series in South Africa, of which he was a part of, Ashwin said that he had achieved what he wanted to, though he would have liked to have got a few more wickets.

"On a personal account, I would say I batted beautifully through the first two Test matches. If I had just held myself when the second new ball was taken I could have made a massive difference.

I felt a little disappointment for that. But in general that was my role in the game, I had to counter-attack and I felt that way.

"As an individual who went into that series, whatever I wanted to achieve I did achieve. Probably a few wickets lesser than I would have ideally liked. A few dropped catches, which is part of the game," he added.

He also felt that the series was closely fought despite the result going 2-1 in favour of South Africa.

"I feel the series was very very close and it was on the line. In fact, even at Cape Town and Centurion till the last ball was bowled we probably were in the game.

Probably, Centurion a little bit earlier. I thought we played really good cricket," Ashwin said. "On both the occasions, if we had won the toss it would have made a massive difference. As a team we really played well in South Africa.

It gives us a lot of impetus going into the England series," he added. Ashwin hailed the manner in which the team played in the final Test at Johannesburg and said India deserved to win.

The off-spinner, however, refused to comment on the pitch controversy in Johannesburg, saying he was not part of the game.

Ashwin, who has been picked by Kings XI Punjab in the recent IPL players auctions, said he would miss playing for Chennai Super Kings (CSK), adding that he looked forward to play again at the M A Chidambaram stadium where he took his first steps to success.

"Obviously I was a tad disappointed. I have been here for the past 10 years. Literally, I own that space at Chepauk. The cheer that I got every time I came on to bowl, I will miss that.

The auction is very unpredictable and probably if you saw this auction, people were not going all guns blazing. I am a bit disappointed that I will not be turning up for CSK.".

On the prospect of turning out for Kings XI Punjab against CSK at the Chepauk, he said, "It will feel lovely. I will again get a chance to showcase my skills in front of my home crowd.

That is all that matters to me. It is a ground that has great memories. It has been part of my meteoric rise.

"It gave me a lot of momentum going into my international career. Coming back there and play against CSK, it may probably motivate me more. Let's see how it goes," Ashwin signed off.

Everybody did ask for this video! and also since the cat did attack Seba

Seba's travel time is arrived!

today we will see our ringlet king travel through Hokkaido

more specifically in Sapporo

where he slept in a fantastic hotel

and where he tasted specialities

and he stopped in a fish market, without breathing^^

he will bring us in the republic of ramen

and as last thing he will eat a good ice cream

made by fresh milk - not from him,

but from the Hokkaido cows

let's say that you can't watch this video on an empty stomach.

Good morning! I'm going to have breakfast

do you like the pajama that they gave me at the Grand hotel? let me know in the comments

this is like the buffet and you can find everything!

a lot of fresh fish!

there is also a bakery

only breakfast here cost like 40€

but if you sleep in the hotel it can cost less

and here they do crepes, I think

now I'm also going to choose something to eat

it's so cool, you can boil your Udon and also cook the Nabe

well, since we're in Hokkaido, I'm going to take some fish!

so, this is todays breakfast

this is the milk that won a prize, because Hokkaido is also famous for the milk

so, before we had like a more occidental breakfast

and now we eat a typical japanese breakfast

Wow, we have here a fantastic Munich christmas market!

they are also here in Japan

I need to say that the houses are cool! what do you think?

will they sell a Vin brulè (typical hot wine drink)

they are closed, but we will certainly return to the Munic christmas market

I'm like uploading a video on the Katsu channel

you should subscribe

we arrived at --

well, this area is famous for the fish market, where they sell especially crabs

let's see how it is!

we are going to this famous fish market

look the crabs are calling me for being eaten!

50€ for that crab there

fruit, let's see strawberries cost 8€

ok, but look at these strawberries!

I'm showing you also the thinkgs from another perspective...just look at the Ikura

we are at the Nijo market

and it's fantastic here!

everything looks delicious and it's not so expensive

and then we have the -- they cost a bit, but are made with fresh fish!

we have a lot of choices!

look how beautiful!

everything here on this is fake

I don't know why they do fake food? but it looks inviting!

well, but the smell here^^

I like more cooked fish, but I also like Sushi

so, if you come to Sapporo in Hokkaido, don't miss the fish market

this one cost around 27€

but can you see how big they are?

look!

this is the sea urchin

it's really good

this one cost 30€

wow, that's a big one that cost around 10.000€! ^_^

here we have a lot of clams

this place is fantastic!

octopus!

this one is huge

they cost like 2€ each piece

I hope that you can understand that I'm having fun right now, during this video

this is like the biggest crab!

if you buy a bigcrab, they will take a picture!

look at all these happy faces! I think that crab is very good, although it's a bit expensive

good, I hope you enjoyed this small tour

and now we're going to eat some fresh fish

here they have all kind of Udon

this one is completely filled with crab

and this one with the sea urchin

I think this one is enough for me, I'm not that hungry

so, this one is Hokkaido

we are here in Sapporo

another famous place is Otaru

this island is very big, it's in 21st place

ant it has a extension of 78 thousand square meters, if you erase the lakes

the places where you catch the crabs, is here in the north in Wakkanai

and in Neburo

and these Melons come from Yubari, they are very expensive

I don't know which one I should take! the sea urchin one?

here we have some fresh fish, directly from the fish market

I took Nabe, look at this fantastic aspect!

Now we're entering here. It's the first time that I enter in Seicomart

it's like 7eleven, but in Hokkaido version

I want to see what they sell herer, they said that it's less expensive here

oh, it cost really less than the 7eleven!

and they are cooked here, so look how good

Onigiri look really like the homemade ones

see! they cook everything here!

so, it's like 1000 times better than 7eleven

Seico mart is nice!

If you are in Hokkaido and you don't know what to buy for luch, I recommend to go to Seicomart

and here we have the television tower of Hokkaido

it's not that high, but at night it's illuminated and it's beautiful

maybe we're going up later!

I have coffee!

you know that we have geraniums (flowers)

and I just discovered that in Japan they have the Marimo

I didn't knew what they were, but I was here in this shop looking some random stuff

and I found like the Marimo

it's basically this thing here!

and you also need to feed this Marimo

I don't know if I should define them animals,

they are like plants, but they grow, when you feed them

you can buy them also in small size

and when you continue to feed them, they grow

you can find these animals/plants in the lakes here in Hokkaido

did you ever heard of these Marimo?

there are also some fake ones,

they seem like the ones that they use for the taiwan bubble tea

I don't know why these little girls are eaten by these shells^^

then we have some animals that sleep,

and the Kan-cho, I need to do a video about them!

because it's fantastic!

I'm going to buy one!

which one will come out? I hope the high school girl!

I took like a gift for my friend

look how nice this Kan-cho action figure is!

Wikipedia recommends to go up on the tower

so we decided to go on the clock tower

I need to say that my friend is from Hokkaido

my friend Konan,

he said that this building is the most disappointing one!

but I'm really hopefull, and I think it would be great!

so, and here we have the clock tower!

(Seba is taking pictures)

this is the clock tower!

we decided not to spend 1,50€ to go inside, because it's already that beautiful from the outside!

because, my friend from Hokkaido said it's not that good

my advice is that you can also avoid to go inside, but you're free to do anything

those people didn't go in neither

I don't know, historically this place is very famous

I didn't found any informations on Wikipedia, about this place

maybe, I will do a research... this place is not very welcoming in my opinion^^

in Hokkaido we have the famous Risotteria!!

it looks more Japanese rice, not italian Risotto

I've showed you the clock tower, the television tower

and now we're going to another famous monument

it's the ex govenor house

we're going inside, to see the office, the different rooms,

it's like a museum

if you come here in summer, there will be a lot of flowers, but let's go in!

If you're from Sapporo you can enter for free

it should be interesting, it's the first time that I enter

at night everything is illuminated

It feels a bit like London, I don't know if you've seen my picture on Instagram where I'm at the train station

the Hogwarts mood one

it feels like Hogwarts

here somebody gets married

I have the feeling that I'm playing at Cluedo

(he explains how to play Cluedo)

here we have a typical japanese doll (I think it's russian)^^

I think this is the meeting room

this is the place, where the emperor did sit, I can take pictures and videos, but I can't touch anything

cool, it has a University feeling!

like Cambridge

I don't know the meaning of this

she is Francesca

ah maybe this anime was set in Hokkaido

she is also on Instagram and she went to different places of Sapporo

if somebody knows this anime, leave a comment

nice, this is the model of the whole emperor house

it looks bigger, than I thought

here we have some famous people

the water from Hokkaido, the same as the one in the Hotel

there are a lot of nice things

here we have the museum

it shows us the different places

historically Hokkaido was disputed between Russia and Japan

and they putted these stones, to outline the border, between Russia and Japan

I'm in Hogwarts! one pan

old pots

Sapporo is here!

the whole Hokkaido is a prefecture

a really huge fossil

we arrived at Esta!

we are not walking outside, because it's too cold!

and now we're going at the tenth floor to see the republic of ramen

where is it?

someone did offer me this coffee

look! it's full of food!

the buddha

you can buy a lot of chicken

Esta has everything! all kind of Onigiri

Unagi in Yakitori style

they have all kinds of Yakitori!

I need to do a video about the Obento

all kind of sandwiches!

they look delicious!

the Dango

OMG look at those Tayaki!

they are warm

here they prepare them!

this is the most famous Oniyagi

it's called -- white lover

these are famous cookies!

at Esta there is a lot of stuff!

the sweets! you get fat only by looking at them!

aren't these cakes beautiful?

also if my mum gets mad if I'm saying this - the cakes here in Japan are much higher quality than the ones in Italy

cos in italy we prefer home-made taste

but western sweets in Japan are more French Style

what? this says "warm me up"

how cute

we are at QU, looking for a pajama

we are about to try Hokkaido famous icecream

it cost around 3 usd

here we go

this is made with the same milk I've show you this morning, and it's so creamy

and now let's go to Ramen Republic

here we are

here they have all different types of ramen

so many different ramsn!!!

this one is Miso Ramen

you can take lot's of omiyage from here

ohh I love those potetoes, I've seen them in LA too, but they are actually from Hokkaido

this water is so good

omg, do you remember the clock tower? here with Attack of Titan's fusion!

ohhhh so cute! A marimo

they are so cute

and here Kurione, is a fish that look like a demon

we had end up choosing this Melon

this is BBQ ramen, another miso

this is Chasyu

anyway we had eaten it yesterday

different parts of Hokkaido have different special ramen

but my favorite is miso

what a cute relaxing area ^_^

it was so sweet to visit, but tonight I want to eat Hokkaido's famous soup curry (since we had ramen yesterday in the first part of the video)

Rakkyo is a very famous soup curry restaurant

I'm going for chicken, my friend is having pork, is it going to be good? let's find out

the waiter told me that his favorite food is tiramisu

it smells soo good, can't wait to try it

omg, so good with Hokkaido potetoes

I love okura

(on our way back) omg now cakes are cheap, let's get some

and here night time Sapporo TV tower

let's climbing

now let's see what cakes we had good at Fruitscake Factory

it looks a little like the Cheese Factory chain stores in the USA

yummm

fruits and pumpkin

eating this and going to sleep, see you tomorrow morning

(day after) good morning, now we can choose between 2 restaurants where we are going to eat

mmm this one looks good, but let's check it out the other one too

Britain's Giant Airship: R.101 - Duration: 16:58.

Cheap and Easy Valentine's Day Crafts for Kids | Part 2 - Duration: 1:56.

Are you guys looking for Valentine's Day crafts for kids? I know I am so I have

found three excellent ones this year. I found these ideas on Pinterest and I

thought they were super cute. I wanted to share them with you. So let's

get into this video. The first thing you are going to need is a paper plate and some

scissors for the heart headband. All you do is you cut the paper plate into a

heart and place it on your child's head. How easy is that? They can color it.

They can write their name on it. But they have a super easy Valentine's Day craft.

Beaded name hearts. You're going to need pipe cleaners and pony beads. I will post

a link to all the supplies I have used in the description box down below. If

you'd like a complete list of supplies I use it will be there. You're going to

twist your pipe cleaner into a heart and thread the pony beads onto the heart. You

can even do the ones that have the letters and put your child's name in

letters on the heart. Super simple and easy. Number three: hand cards. You're

going to take a piece of construction paper and you're going to fold it in half.

Then you will place your child's hand on the construction paper, trace

around the hand, cut out the hand, and then when you open it up you'll have a

hand card. Then you can just write a cute little message on the inside of the

card. It could be for teachers or it could be for students in the class as

Valentines. whatever you like. Super simple. Super easy.

I found all three of these Valentine's Day crafts ideas on Pinterest and if I

could find the website where it came from that website will be linked in the

description box down below. So make sure to check out the websites. If you liked

these super simple valentine's day crafts ideas then make sure to share

this video with a friend. Don't forget to check out the second video that I made

last year and you can find that in description box down below with some

more easy simple ideas for Valentine's Day crafts. I post new content every

Don't Trust Juniper - Duration: 3:35.

Juniper Woods is portrayed as a shy, gentle, and kind person.

She was a sickly child and she wears sunflowers on her head to help with her coughing.

She coughs when she's nervous and she's so fragile and delicate, that she coughs quite a bit.

She's always there to help out her friends and she does well in school.

She's even on the student council.

Doesn't she seem a bit too perfect and gentle?

In Dual Destinies some pretty horrible things happened to Apollo.

Juniper's reactions seem a little off. She's known of Apollo for less than two

months while Athena has worked alongside Apollo for eight.

it would make absolute sense that Athena would be more

distraught upon finding Apollo seemingly dead than Juniper.

This doesn't really happen. Athena gasps and screams while Juniper

falls to her knees. That's a bit of a grey area,

but how about when they see Apollo collapse?

Both scream "Apollo," however Juniper is shown to be more

worried because of the use of more O's. Yes, this sounds nitpicky but the

information still stands. I would think Athena would be more distraught at her

best friend collapsing than Juniper no matter how sweet, kind, and gentle she seems.

We all love references but this one doesn't work.

Juniper supposedly designs the costume for her performance with the Gavinners.

This costume is exactly the same as the one Lamirior wore wore when she performed

the same song with the same band. Juniper acted as though she designed it

all by herself. This is not a reference.

Why would Juniper do this?

Maybe to get the attention of a certain lawyer with a love of astronomy and Lamirior's music.

Better trademark your costumes, Juniper's stolen before.

Wait.

Unless Juniper's head is filled with soil, those sunflowers are dying.

Well, sunflowers could keep their scent even if they're dying.

To that I say objection! Sunflowers don't have a scent

they attract insects with their bright yellow color, not their smell.

The faint sunflower scent is just the soil or the air, not the actual flower.

Like I said, Juniper does not keep the plants in soil, so what's calming her down?

You can come to your own conclusion on that one.

On top of it all Juniper is an extremely underdeveloped character.

She wants to be a judge and she's gentle. What else?

Her personality is almost entirely built on the fact that she's Athena's delicate friend.

We've also found out that her tell is coughing. The problem is she

coughs all the time from being nervous. How do you tell the difference from a

nervous cough and a tell? She could hide things without anyone suspecting her at all.

Apollo's bracelet may react, but he'll write it off because he'll think

she's just nervous. Even if Athena heard discord in Juniper's

voice, it wouldn't be hard to believe that Athena would doubt her hearing or

think there was a misunderstanding of some sort. She's known Juniper since they

were in school. Junie would never do anything wrong.

Sure, Athena has heard discord in Juniper's voice and acted on it.

However, if the stakes were higher, Athena would definitely start doubting what she hears.

Scuttlebutt was right to be suspicious. So instead of falling for

Juniper's façade. Review the facts. Honestly she's in the perfect position

to be the surprising twist culprit in a turnabout to come.

And who knows? Was she really innocent all those times we defended her?

Celebs You'd Never Guess Are Total Nerds - Duration: 6:08.

When it comes to super famous people, fans probably assume they're way too cool and busy

to get wrapped up in dorky things like everyone else.

But that couldn't be further from the truth in the case of these mega celebrities, who

are just as nerdy as anyone, if not more so -- and darn proud of it, too.

Rosario Dawson

She might've earned a lot of street cred by kicking so much tail on-screen over the years,

but Rosario Dawson has gotten some serious points for her geekdom as well.

The actress has made no secret of her love of Star Trek and can even spout off a few

words of Klingon on cue as well.

"Qapla means success."

"Qapla means success?"

"Qapla, yeah."

"Any other words you know?"

"P'tach, but that's only for the people out there who speak it and they know what I said."

Like any good Trekkie, Dawson knows that some installments are better than others, and she's

fully versed on what makes the series as a whole so great.

"Some of the films are great, some of the films are not great, but you get into it,

the world has always been remarkable…

Imagine a world in the future where we didn't have money and it was really about excellence

and exploration."

Here's hoping she'll someday get the chance to jump from the Marvel TV universe scene

to the Starship Enterprise.

Want to get nerdier than that?

Dawson also co-wrote the comic Occult Crimes Taskforce.

Tom Hanks

Being the Everyman of Hollywood, it makes sense that Tom Hanks has a geeky hobby like

most of us do.

But his is pretty hard to guess: Tom Hanks is ridiculously into typewriters.

"Beautiful knobs."

Hanks reportedly owns over 250 old typewriters …

"And I would say that 90 percent of them are in perfect working order."

He adores how they're little more than ink and paper, and you can't hack them, nor can

the Cloud glitch and erase all your data.

"You're typing on something that works exactly the same as it did in 1938."

Hanks loves the machines so much that he wrote a whole book about them.

Uncommon Type is a collection of 17 short stories, all of which are linked by typewriters

and typing.

Want to get nerdier?

Hanks also co-developed an app called Hanx Writer… which turns your iPad into a typewriter.

Dave Bautista

WWE Champion-turned-Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista looks like he has just

two central hobbies: working out and flexing.

But his geeky side-hobby might just be cuter than baby Groot.

The muscle man likes to collect vintage lunch boxes in his spare time.

"This is actually the lunch box I started by collection with.

It's a 1982 E.T. original, tags, everything."

Like any collector, Bautista has one piece that's the most prized of his entire collection,

as he explained to IGN in 2005:

"My favorite is the 1967 Green Hornet lunch box … because Bruce Lee is on it."

But he's also regularly geeked out about other additions, like a 1954 Superman lunchbox he

found after a lot of effort tracking one down.

One of his more recent grabs was a 2014 Drax lunchbox, featuring that familiar phrase:

"Finger to the throat means death."

Director James Gunn custom-made that lunchbox just for him because as a fellow nerd, he

definitely gets it -- even if Bautista tries to play down his obsession.

"Is the reason you collect lunch boxes because you like lunch so much you need a lot of boxes

to put all of it in?"

"I'm always hungry, and yeah I need to have food close by."

Natalie Portman

She isn't just a world-renowned actress; Natalie Portman is also one of the smartest people

in Hollywood.

Though she got her start in show business at a very young age, Portman took a break

from acting to pursue a degree in psychology at Harvard University.

While some might've found it risky for her to step back from the spotlight when her career

was still on fire, she told the New York Post in 2002:

"I don't care if [college] ruins my career.

I'd rather be smart than a movie star."

During the course of her studies, she participated in several advanced research studies and she's

since found a way to couple her academic and career interests by delivering lectures about

the messages of her movies to university students on occasion.

"God, you go to Harvard, and everyone gives you a hard time for the rest of your life."

Stephen Colbert

He might seem like a cavalier late night host whose cool factor has propelled him to become

the reigning king of late night, but there's one subject that makes Stephen Colbert geek

out harder than anyone on this planet or Middle-earth, and that's Lord of the Rings.

Colbert's fascination with J.R.R.

Tolkien's fantasy books is so intense, in fact, that even Peter Jackson, who directed

the films based on his works, said he'd never met a bigger Tolkien geek in his life than

Colbert.

The funnyman has spent his life devouring every book of the saga.

"Not just The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.

I'm talkin' Farmer Giles of Ham, Smith of Wootton Major, Leaf by Niggle."

He might be able to spout off information about the current state of political affairs

like an old Washington pro, but that's nothing compared to when he gets going about the fantasy

realm.

"Gandalf is an a Maiar who has been in Arda since Ilúvatar cried 'Eä.'"

So, imagine how excited he must have been when worlds collided and he earned a cameo

spot in the second Hobbit movie.

And perhaps his nerdiest moment came when he took scientists to task for naming a new

species of spider after Smeagol, instead of his evil alter-ego Gollum.

"Smeagol wasn't a scary creature that lived in a cave…

You should've named the spider Gollum!"

If that wasn't geeky enough, he took his criticism of the name choice even further by suggesting:

"You want to name a spider after a Lord of the Rings character?

Why not choose the character that's a spider, Shelob?"

Lesson learned.

Before anyone does anything even remotely related to Lord of the Rings ever again, they

need to run it by this guy first.

Work can help you achieve your dreams [Morning Motivation] - Duration: 3:01.

Morning Motivation

I believe that good things come to those who work. -Wilt Chamberlain

Welcome back, Rebels!

For those of you that don't know me,

my name is Tony

And I have a dream of one day becoming a hero like the ones you see in TV and movies

and this video is all about motivating you so you can go after your dreams

whatever they might be if you find that kind of thing is interesting,

you probably want to click on subscribe because I have a lot more where this came from

I think today we're going to talk about something

that gets discounted a lot

and that is work

everybody wants something free these days and I'm not just talking monetarily

I'm talking about socially and culturally It just seems to me that the vast majority

of people aren't willing to work to achieve greatness

and that just makes me sad

there are a lot of people out there that could do great things

but they don't

if their dream doesn't come easily to them then

they don't want it anymore

if they don't make it on the first try then

they just quit

and instead of going after their dream

they put in work

hard work

achieving someone else's dream

making someone else rich and achieving someone else's goals

the very thought of that depresses me

now don't get me wrong I have put in my time doing that

because I was scared

Hell, to be honest, I'm still scared

but I'm doing it

I'm putting in the work to go after my dreams

and for you too to help you go after your dreams

and you know what? that means you owe me

yeah, you owe me

I'm putting in work so you can achieve your dreams

I'm motivating you so you can go after your dreams

so you owe me equal work

actually scratch that you don't owe me equal work

but you owe me some work if you're not going after your dreams

if you're not putting in the work that you know you need to do

then you owe me

and this is the kind of debt you won't get

away from by declaring bankruptcy

and let's be clear it's a debt I don't want to collect

it's a debt I want you to collect on

when you put in the work when you put in the effort

and go after your dreams

you are the one that is going to reap the benefits of that

Not me

Not anybody else

You!

and that is what I want for you

I want you to be happy living your greatest triumph

I want you to be getting the most out of life

and I know it is possible but not if you don't put in the work

positive thoughts, affirmations, and motivational videos like this one

only get you so far

Scientifically speaking everything on this

planet responds to work in one way or another

Why wouldn't the same hold true for your dreams?

put in the work

do the work

live your dream

Don't owe me

Colouring on Adhesive Sheets - The Gildied "Flakes" Age - Duration: 14:09.

Hi, my name is Barbara Gray from clarity stamp here in the UK and welcome to

YouTube Tuesday. Today, I thought we'd play with some double-sided tape now I

did do a YouTube a while ago and if I just show you this you'll see on this

particular occasion, if we flip to the back you'll see it stamped on the front

and I used gilding flakes are fantastic with double-sided adhesive so

you'll see here all I did was scribe out and punch a hole and that's the way we

created the landscape in the background on the on the double sided adhesive this

is really nice. So I thought today we'd try something different which again

we're going to be stamping but we're going to be colouring in. So you can see

here we're going to be actually colouring in on the adhesive. So let's

have a look at what we need and what we're going to do. The first thing we

need is a permanent ink pad, now I'm going to suggest here that we use a

black archival or a radiance that will work really well, we're going to use

gilding flakes now. I've got silvery moon and large gold here because of course it

can be plain because I'm going to be applying colour. Then we've also got a

selection of alcohol pens. I'm using pro markers, Copics will work beautifully

there are Spectrum Noir, there are so many different alcohol pens on the

market I use pro markers. So the first thing we're going to do is oh and I'll

probably need a good pair of tweezers to to pick up the gilding flakes. So I

should take a sheet of double-sided adhesive and I'm going to cut it in half

because I want to stamp on it with my beautiful Rene Macintosh stamp. You'll

see this is just a fantastic stamp and and more will be revealed. There is a

whole collection of these I'm going to use the Rose one here this is Art

Nouveau this was designed by our Jim in the office and you'll see here I only

need half a piece don't I so I'm going to cut it in half and I'm going to use

one of our rulers and the glass mat. I'm going to stand to do this one of the

great things about this ruler I've got the Groovi grip on

it I'll do another video showing you the merits of the groovi grip on our ruler

but for now just rest assured that as soon as you apply pressure it doesn't

move okay so I'm just going to cut that in half and there's no sliding around

alright we'll go again so I'm just going to cut that in half and then we're ready

to go I'm going to use a mat underneath to stamp on as well the first thing I'm

going to do for example is make sure that my stamp fits beautifully and then

I'm gonna peel off the clarity wax paper

*small thump and bang*

that's the ghost in the corner, Behave! and then

I'm just going to ink up my stamp so I'm going to use a radiance blackout stamp

it's really good for this particular job it's a permanent ink pad like archival

and I'm just gonna take the ink pad to the stamp and then gently lower

the inky stamp down onto the adhesive so just hover with the handle until you're

happy with the position and then press in the center and you're sticking

directly your stamping directly onto the sticky side so you can see that. So we do

that and then when we've got that and we know that that's going to be a good

impression then we'll just peel this off and it's absolutely perfect look at that

it doesn't get better than that guys. Okay and then I've also got the words

best wishes that I'm going to put in here. Now this is a little bit more

challenging but I reckon we'll give it a go. So this time what I want to do is ink

up the stamp there is a tendency on adhesive sheets to slide when you're

stamping not so much with huge stuff but with a small stamp

like this it's more likely that I'll slide so I'm going to blot it first and

what I'll find is that will give me more traction on the double-sided sheet then

I'm going to hover over the top excuse my head here when I do this and then

I'm just going to pop my words into there and then I'll press gently there

and that should sit in there beautifully there you go

that's perfect. So you can see now let me just leave that like that because it's

sticky that works really well doesn't it so the next thing I want to do the ink

is on this side so what I need now is a piece that let me put the lid on the ink

otherwise I know what's going to happen before it's even occurred and what I'm

going to do now is take a piece of acetate because I'm going to protect

this so to do this let's have a look we just want to set this down on here my

suggestion would be that you drop it down we can always trim it back

afterwards we'll just drop it into the center like that and then let it roll

out and then if you like if you've got a brayer handy another use for a brayer

just roll over there and you can hear the air bubbles squishing out so now our

ink is protected isn't it so when I turn that over I'm actually going to leave

this on there so I can I come work I've got something to hold on to I can always

cut it off afterwards if I want to use it so the next thing I want to do is

peel this off like so right and now this is sticky isn't it let's take a piece of

coffee paper so we can see what we're doing because now we're going to start

coloring in I think I should sit for this one and I'm going to use my my pro

markers so let's let's play it stay safe and start with a lighter pink yeah this

one's called antique pink so I'm happy to hold that because then I don't have

to hold the the adhesive and then what I'm going to do

I'm going to apply color directly like this to the back of the adhesive and I'm

simply going to color in my rose and is this going to affect the stickiness

actually no it's not so you can see let me just show you just add a little bit

of color and round you go let me take another color and then I'm going to

leave you to go and put the kettle on while I color in but for example if I

want to do a leaf I can take my greens and I just it's so easy to do this

really is not challenging if I... I'm going to do pink on there if I wanted to do the

border I can run my green along there it doesn't hurt the pen at all it

runs it's like silk there you go so you're going to put the kettle on and

I'll just finish doing this. I take mine strong with milk tea please thank

you very much

okay so we've added a little bit of colour that didn't take two minutes

really and you can see from the front provided we don't drop it down you can

see that we've got some nice random and I like it because it's a little bit

gritty it's a little bit distressed so what we're going to do now is provided

that that's dry it will give it a couple of minutes to dry and then what we'll do

is we'll add the gilding flakes over the top so I think I'll take my black

mat out and I'll just start adding some gilding flakes and you'll see I've got

some gold and silver in there and I'm just going to just add it lightly

a little bit of silver here and a little bit of gold there is random now I'm not

too concerned about exactly where it's going to be in the in the other one I'm

doing this I'll tell you in the other video what I did was I was very careful

to cut out certain pieces of the of the tape at the back and what that did was

it just exposed certain areas so in other words if you just sorry to

interupt what I'm doing here but you can see I just put only gold in that area

only gold in the moon but on this one I'm just going for it I'm just putting

everything down just be mindful of the fact that the adhesive is adhesive that

is what it is it is sticky and we're just going to gently tap or try not to

blow too hard there we go don't sneeze when you're doing this or you will

experience something you could experience in no other way right let's

just add this at now and then we'll just smooth it over tap it out if you there

we go it will catch as you go just it sticks because it's sticky just tap that

round how's your tea cold already okay right so we'll just do this and

then once we've got enough down there we know that we've covered up all the

adhesive I reckon we're going to use to gently we're going to start removing the

excess gilding flakes so let's just do this and what we've done is we've

covered and you'll see that the ink isn't really affecting it at all all

right there'll be a couple of little areas where it doesn't stick where I've

over egged it but do you know what this is art right we just put that to one

side and what we're going to do is just funnel our corr it does get doesn't it, just

funnel that back in there waste not want not just pop the lid on

there and then what we're going to do is just polish the back so just polish the

back I don't bother saving this this is like the dregs isn't it I'm not gonna

pop that back in there because I think that's a waste there we go okay and when we

turn it over we just get rid of this excess here all right okay I'll sort

that out later but when we turn it over just get rid of the excess you'll see

now if I mount this on a piece of black for example or put it on a black card

you can see how that comes to life let me just grab a piece of black card I

know I've got some in there there we go

Didn't want to use when matt use the matte regretting it now okay but you can

see now how it sits on there perfectly

Make sure that you clean it well before you put it on the black card can we

rewind that guys thank you very much

*Audio scratch and sped up talking*

right well you know what they say you're supposed to get messy if you're getting

arty so here we go we're getting messy right now we've got that so we've got

our flat card we're going to mount that on there and again if I may just show

you I'm gonna take my my cutting mat let's just the job is worth doing it's

worth doing properly let's take our ruler our perga ruler and let's take our

craft mat and again because it doesn't slide and it's got a steel inlay these

Pergamano rulers are pretty cold as well and then you can just cut right back to

the edge there we go and we're going to lose that piece of

acetate I think that was it actually oh no there's another bit on there as well

okay and that's all we've got to do just trim that back like so hold it tight and

then you'll get a nice crisp edge as well actually I probably want to do all

four but for the day that will do you get the picture you get the picture and

you see how you can now colour in specific stamps on double sided tape so

I think that's that's very cool and don't forget to check back on that one

as well and I hope you enjoyed that if you like what you see here then follow

our YouTube and subscribe or leave a comment and if you'd like to see any

special offers and head on over to our website www.claritystamp.com thanks very much for

joining me I'll see you next Tuesday bye bye now

Sketchy Tattoo Shop Story - violence under infleunce - Duration: 3:07.

I have a story. Shoot. About that fighting stuff there were these two like shop was

full of people everybody was working busy day

great for a shop and lots of fun some guys come in the shop it was like two

people you can obviously tell that they were high on something like I think it

was like cocaine or something like they were on fire they were. On fire. Yeah and

then they wanted to get tattoo done they want a tattoo on hand that stuff is

illegal in Denmark so you can't do it yeah yeah yeah and we followed the rules so

we had to say no to them but he wanted a consultation and talk about it so that

was fine we told him to go behind counter so he could wait and then

somebody would come and then he was being obnoxious and like kind of violent

and he was talking to a girl working there she was a blonde girl sitting

working on her thing he was almost standing on top of client on the bed and

the same like hey can't this hot girl tattoo me right now man that would be

fucking sweet and stuff like the boss that I want to play said like no no you

have to chill and calm down and go behind the counter and wait a bit and

he's like chill man I can get your shop closed in five minutes if I wanted to

and like what the fuck you talking about so he was like stopping his tattoo to go

confront the guy in the front and when he tried to like show him the way the

guy got super violent and he started to want to fight with the boss you know so

just in the middle of nothing they had like this big argument and fight in the

middle of room and we had to like throw the guy out so police came and like it

was so crazy and I'm in the end police check the guy is seen if he had anything

on him he had some weed I think and he wanted to swallow it so they couldn't

take it for evidence or whatever but then he almost choked on it so he was

standing there like super high and wasted and the almost choking on a big thing of

weed you know so they the police has to like slap him on the back make sure he

didn't die this such a stupid day to be that guy you know. And what how did it

end? So guy got in trouble. He like picked up by the police and driven

to the station and you know probably had to. And shop was still working.

Shop was fine nothing happened to that place but it was just a weird way to to

react you know to be person. Yeah, well was a good drug maybe. It must have been

something because he was flying let me tell you

BREAKING Obama Under PRESSURE After Senator Drops "DEEP STATE" Bombshell…

IT'S HAPPENING

According to one Senator, president Donald Trump was forced to speak negatively about

Russia by the deep state.

Trump's brief mention of Russia in his State of the Union address means he doesn't want

a confrontation, but he also wants to "placate the hawks," said Senator Richard Black from

Virginia.

Senator Black said he believes that Russia as well as China receiving only one mention

in the 90-minute address is not a coincidence.

Black argued that president "Trump was forced to refer to China and Russia in negative terms,

but he moved on quickly."

Most of the mainstream media immediately jumped to accuse Trump of being too soft on Moscow

in comparison to his predecessor, Barack Obama, who went on a sanctions crusade against Russia

late in his term.

Black said that while Trump may not give up on his intention to improve relations with

Moscow, it was impossible to make any forward progress thanks to a "deep state" that

"conspired to drive a wedge between us."

According to RT, by initiating a probe into "concocted allegations of Russia collusion"between

Moscow and the Trump campaign team, led by special councilor Robert Muller, "they blocked

President Trump from moving closer to Russia, as he wanted to do," Black argued.

"I do not believe he personally wants to raise tensions with either Russia or China,"

the senator said, adding that the decision by the White House to hold off on sanctions

against Russia under the Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act [CAATSA]

have "angered the War Hawks."

This decision has also upset the mainstream media (the US's propaganda arm as well.)

According to Black, Trump succumbed to pressure from the war hawks in the deep state too.

This was evident when he announced the US would be beefing up the US military presence

in Afghanistan in August.

"Trump was reportedly angered by his staff's recommendation to expand the war by sending

4,000 additional troops.

But the war hawks prevailed and we continue to waste men and treasure on that ill-fated

venture," Black said.

Contrary to US leader's assurance that "in the end, we will win" in a protracted Afghan

war, the Senator said he believes that "over time, the US is unlikely to experience any

greater success" than the British Empire and the Soviet Union, which were both stuck

in Afghanistan for years.

The deep state's propaganda arm, the mainstream media, assures the public that there is no

"deep state" and it's all just a conspiracy theory.
