It appears that Democratic leaders in Congress were left off the guest list for President
Donald Trump's first state dinner at the White House on Tuesday.
Only one Democratic politician was invited, and he was not a member of Congress.
Now, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are furious.
On Tuesday evening in Washington, DC, fifteen months into the Trump administration, First
Lady Melania Trump threw her first state dinner in honor of French President Emmanuel Macron
and his wife Brigitte.
It was a meticulously planned affair with a menu meant to pay tribute to American culinary
traditions with "nuances of French influences."
The intricate meal was served on both the Clinton and George W. Bush china, which features
a green color palette that complemented the green flowers featured in the dining room.
There were more than 1,200 branches of cherry blossom, all homegrown in the United States,
and more than 2,500 stems of white sweet peas.
The Kennedy Center's Washington National Opera performed.
And only one Democrat was invited.
On Monday, representatives for the top four Democratic leaders in Congress Senate Minority
Leader Chuck Schumer, Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi
and House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer told CNN, that their offices did not receive an invitation
to the state dinner with the French president.
CNN then reached out to the White House for confirmation that no congressional Democrats
had been invited to dine with the French president, but they did not receive a response.
On Tuesday, though, as attendees began to arrive at the White House, the Clinton News
Network got its answer.
It was true the Trumps had left every single congressional Democrat off the guest list.
They had, however, invited one member of the opposing party: Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards.
According to Daily Mail, it is custom to invite Louisiana politicians to state dinners with
France because of the state's Cajun-French roots, and so the governor and his wife Donna
were in attendance.
According to WGNO, while it's not common for presidents to invite large swaths of members
of the opposing party to state dinners, past presidents have invited a few prominent names
because of their work on issues related to the guest of honor, or because the White House
was courting them to support an agenda item.
In February 2014, then-President Barack Obama hosted then-French President Francois Hollande
for a state dinner, and invited a few members of the opposing party, including Republican
Rep. Eric Cantor, who was the House Majority Leader at the time.
Republican Reps. Paul Ryan, Harold Rogers of Kentucky, and Ed Royce of California also
attended, along with Republican Gov. Bill Haslam of Tennessee.
The choice to shun top Democrats like Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, at Tuesday night's
opulent state dinner speaks volumes about the priorities of the Trump administration.
Donald and Melania Trump care about tradition.
This is why Gov. John Bel Edwards was invited.
However, the president and his lovely wife surely felt they could do without the drama
other Democrats would have brought to the evening.
After all, we have seen the way Pelosi and her ilk have acted when they are invited to
attend a highly-publicized government function.
Just look at the stunt she pulled during President Trump's State of the Union address.
She and her buddy Chuck certainly were not missed on Tuesday.

Have You Tried This Brusho Technique? - Duration: 8:47.
Hi everyone! It's Lisa with inkandinspirations.com. Thanks for joining me
today. in this video, I just wanted to show you
another Brusho technique that I enjoy doing. I'm using the
Waterfront stamp set and I'm going to be making this scene right here. It's a
little different than I've used Brusho before and I think it's fun and
different and has a very artsy look so I encourage you to get it give it a try!
Now, I will tell you the Brusho does stain your stamps but it doesn't affect
how they work! They still work just fine! Here I have this little mountain
stamp that can be a number of things. I'm going to use a Stampin spritzer and
some of the Moss green and Prussian blue Brusho. I have a little bit of scratch
paper here for my work surface to protect it a bit. I'm just going
to sprinkle a little bit directly onto the stamp and remember a little bit of
Brusho goes a long way. Alright, so there's a little bit of the
Prussian blue and then I'm going to take my Stampin spritzer and hold it a little
high up, not too too close, and give it a spritz. I have a piece of
watercolor paper and that's cut at 4 x 5 1/4" and I'm just going
to give it a stamp right here I'm going press it down and let it move around a
little bit.The thing with this it's like any artsy kind of project or
technique you're working on... no two will be the same. I know that I still
have a little bit a Brusho there on that and so I'm going to spritz it again.
This time I got a little bit closer you can see the ink pooling up and I'm
going to go back over that original one because I want it a
little darker. So that's super pretty ...I love that and so I think I'm
going to give it a go again just right here and kind of change my scene up a little
bit. Now I'm going to take this line stamp and it's going to be the water so
I'm going to put a little Prussian blue. The thing with this
is that it's so much fun you can just play around with the colors and the
mixtures. Okay and then I'm just going put a little bit of yellow just see what
that does. Take and move my
watercolor paper out of the way so I don't get any of this spritzing on there. Let's see
what happens now can I come up here I'm going stamp again and
this time I think I'm going use a little blue without the yellow. You can see
it's just fun to play with and get different looks. I mean I think
this is a really artsy look. Now I'm going to get
this again. This time I'm going to put a little bit of just the green. I'm going
go back over what I previously stamped and you just keep repeating the process
until you get the look that you want. I'm going to end up making a mess here if
I'm not carefu!l Let's try this again.
I like that so now I'm going to stamp again here. I have
a little white spot there but that's okay I think I'm going to leave it. Now I'm
going to do the trees. Notice that I'm not cleaning these yet
because I can use some of that ink later if I want to fill in. So let me move that
aside and this time I'm going to use the moss green and a little bit of the
yellow. Let me give this a spritz
and let's see what we have now for our trees. I'm overlapping the
mountains a little bit. That's kind of different. This time I'm going to use
just the moss green because I want a little bit more green on it. I'm going to
spritz, bring it back and go over that same area.I like that!
So now to if you want to add to it and move it (the color) around a little bit you can
do that. I'm going take a little bit of this ink and the Brusho and water
mixture here and I'll fill that in just a little bit. I have a little bit
more blue than I wanted but that's okay.
It looks like it has a blue dot so I'm
going put a little green wirh my brush right there and use this as a palette
Can I get some green? There we go... all right! (It's like I hate to waste that
beautiful color.) So now let me work this out a little bit. I'm cleaning off
my aqua painter so now I'm going to take this and I'm just going to come
down a little bit here and make a little bit more water. I'm just pulling that
inked up Brusho already down here a little bit. This is the opposite
side that I did on my first card. I'm pretty happy with that
and now to add some fun! You can already see I have a yellow dot there but that's
okay because I'm just going to pick up a little bit of this water and Brusho
mixture. I just want a few specks on my card base , I mean my watercolor
paper. I'm going to let that dry and then I will finish the card.
This is what I was trying to achieve and you can see my trees are a little
different (let me move this out of the way) and I'm going to move my scratch
paper out of the way. You can see there are two different looks but just
fun and artsy. I can add ... bring some more of this down if I want to but
I think I'm going leave it alone. I hope you'll give that a try. Brusho
is an excellent medium for coloring.. don't be afraid of it! Give it a try! It's
a great watercolor medium and just for adding color in lots and lots of ways.

and to spread this message to our entire university community

It's hard to remember, huh?
One that I've talked about recently was Rock in Rio 91.
I was part of the audience and I saw Megadeth.

It's a show I've talked about a lot recently because I joined Megadeth.
So I really remember this show.
Not only because I saw Megadeth's fantastic formation. I'm a fan of Marty Friedman.
But also because... there was Judas Priest
there was Gun's N' Roses as well,
there was Queensryche,
there was Sepultura too,
there was Lobão, who got booed. It was a historical scene at the time.
[Listen up. I know there are people enjoying it. But we're not clowns!]
I was enjoying the show. I like Lobão.
These were unforgettable shows and I keep remembering them more and more.
I remember Kiko with 19 or 18 years old
Sepultura was already there as a reference for being onstage.
So I had this urge to be on a huge stage, in Rock In Rio
or something like that, because I wanted to be there.
Another show here, at Sesc, an important show
that didn't happen at this Sesc, but at Sesc on Paulista Avenue
was Egberto Gismonti.
I'm a huge fan of Egberto Gismonti.
Not this particular show, but the amount of shows.
Kiko watching the amazing Brazilian musicians we have here.
And I went to some of his shows in Sescs, more than once.
I came here a few years ago, Naná Vasconcelos was playing.
Looking back at me as a kid... like, starting to play the guitar.
There were some events. I think it was at Aclimação Park. And there were other shows as well.
There were some events called Rock Square.
I went there as a kid...13, 14 years old
in the park. It was for free and there was no trouble. It was in the afternoon, so it was cool.
I went there to listen to some heavy metal bands such as Korzus,
Vírus,
Salário Mínimo,
Centúrias.
These were the bands at the time.
I tried to think of some important shows.
I believe they were very important because they created the urge in me to be a guitarist,
to do some shows, to be on tour and everything.
Seeing them playing, it was amazing.
I had no idea how to play, no idea of how to plug in my guitar,
but I was already enjoying this world.

People are becoming so clever and honestly you know this epic creations in Minecraft
The limits of this game are sky high and beyond to a galaxy far far away.

One of my other favorite builds even though it's not super impressive it just spells
out 3 letters but the reaction for it became almost legendary.

Imagine playing Fortnite and a Fan knows your in the game and spells out your name.
It would be such a cool feeling.
Obviously Dr Disrespect had a stream sniper in the game.

My next favorite build I've seen was someone who built the Clout house for scale in the
game.
Which was pretty epic.
The clout house is famous for the residents inside which include RiceGum Faze Banks and
Alissa Violet plus others.

Okay guys, so I picked up both color palettes
I was way more drawn to this one not a basic peach
But I feel like I always I just did the natascha to know in a review
And it was like the same color palette, so I was like step away from the peaches and the Blues
So that's why I also picked up this one comfort zone, which has a lot more greens and kind of
neutral tones
Which I do not gravitate towards greens at all when I pick out eyeshadows, so this one did not really speak to me
But again I wanted some versatility and I wanted to
Play with colors from both of these palettes
So the nice thing is they do give you labels so they tell you which colors are your transition shades which is kind of nice
If you're just starting out makeup um
So we're really just going to
Kind of dive right it means to grab. Let's see the transition shade from the lighter transition shade
From the comfort zone palette now
So I'm just taking this color right through the crease I think I'm going to do some sort of halo eye today because I don't
Feel like I've done that in a little while
There's nothing really outwardly wrong with this shade I mean, it's
Applying the color it's blending decently
It's kind of hard to mess up a warm brown shade to be honest
Okay, so after that I'm going to grab the transition shade the darker transition shade from the peach palette. It's more of like a
Kind of terracotta shade and I'm basically just gonna do
The exact same thing I'm gonna do a kind of a rounded motion and just buff that right into my crease
Definitely a lot of pigmentation on this shade
More than I kind of anticipated, I probably wouldn't have gotten quite so much on the brush
But it's blending
Decently so far so good nothing too crazy
Alright, so I'm gonna take a little bit more of a tapered brush
This one is buy more feet, and I'm gonna go in with the darkest transition shade on the comfort-zone pallets
And I'm just going to kind of nestle that color right into
my socket
You want to keep that original brush handy because
These colors are a little bit more difficult to blend the darker ones
You
I'm not like blown away by the quality, but it's serving its purpose. It's doing a fine job
Not the easiest to blend I've ever used not the most pigmented, but you know for five dollars. I am NOT heating it
I'm gonna take this darkest like chocolate brown shade from the peach palette and
I'm going to go ahead and
Pack that on the inner and outer corners of my eye to start setting the stage for that halo. Eye
So that color has pretty decent pigmentation and packing power
Let's see how it blends
Sometimes, I like to just get a touch of a transition shade on my brush to help the blend
All right now I'm gonna take that seat in color and just pack up on the inner corner of the eye
Again good pigmentation
Decent blend ability
Nothing wrong with that color
Okay, yeah, not so bad. I'm I'm not hating how these colors are kind of blending together
So I'm gonna take a slightly more tapered at blending brush. This is the Kylie cosmetics one
I think oh, no this is Real Techniques
And I'm going to grab the kind of mustardy brown shade from the future palette, and I'm just going to kind of buff
Very very gently along the edges of what we've done so far I
Just kind of want everything to really have a nice gradient. I actually really like this color I
Kind of love these like mustardy
Warm brown shades and this one has some nice pigmentation, and I just like how it kind of warms up the whole look
Okay
So far so good. Okay, now. What should we do for the center of the aisle if that is the question?
We have a purple shade that could be pretty
Maybe we'll do that in light of spring. I'm gonna take this duochrome purple from the peach palette with my finger
This is typically my favorite way to apply ooh
got some fallout there I
Have a lot of fallout from using my finger, I must have taken too much on my finger, but definitely be careful of that
Just brush it away that happens
That is definitely a pretty color, it's not nearly as bright
On the lid is it looks in the pan on the pan. It looks almost like a lilac color and on the lid
It's much more of a I
Don't almost like a burgundy. I kind of want to take this on a brush and see how it applies with a brush
Okay, maybe don't take the tiniest brush that you freakin own
So I definitely prefer it with my finger. Just gives me more pigmentation
Didn't really give me the pop I was looking for
So maybe we can add a little bit something else to that. I mean it's a pretty shade. It's just not
It's not super eye-catching
So I'm going to take a little bit of a pencil brush
I feel like I need to dip more into the neutral palette, so I'm gonna take the lightest shade
From the neutral palette you get a lot of kick up on your brush so be aware of that, and I'm just going to
Tap that in the center of the lid okay that did almost nothing, so let's try wetting the brush
Definitely better wetting the brush
I don't know if it's just cuz it's over that other shade, but that color is not
Really not packing much of a punch at all so as of now
I'm not as impressed with these shimmers
Which is usually the opposite usually it's the mats in drugstore palettes that I have trouble with so
That's kind of interesting the shimmer just haven't really
Impressed me that much
I'm going to take the lightest shade from the peach palette and see if I can hit the inner corners of my eyes
Again the brush is still a little bit wet which helps
So with that little bit of a wet brush, it's some pigment again. Just not
As much as I want
So we're going to jump to the lower lashline, and I'm just going to kind of mix
Some of the transition shades that we've used thus far and hit my inner and outer lower lash line
To be honest I don't typically have a problem
With mattes on my lower lash line just because it's such a small concentrated area
And I'm really not hating the way, this look is coming out, I just sort of have
Some mixed feelings about some of the shades all right, so I really want to use one of these greens
Just because I really never use greens, so I'm gonna take my pencil brush again
And in this brightest green in the neutral palette, and this is a dry brush at this point, so we're gonna. See how it works
Okay, so in a concentrated area
It's pretty good
It's not the most eye-catching color in the world, but it does the job okay?
So I'm gonna take the light shade from the trip from the uh
What's it called comfort zone palette
It's actually a nice highlighting color. It's not as eye-catching for the lid, but under the brow. It's pretty nice actually
It's just a very subtle all right
Maybe I'll try a different color in the center of the lid just to finish off. I wonder if this gold would be any good
to try the gold from the peach palette
Well that's a little better
Yeah, I feel like that
Definitely draws some attention to the center of the lid alright guys so that is the finished look
Let me pop on some lashes and mascara, and I'll give you my final thoughts on these palettes
Okay guys so final thoughts um
That's kind of my feeling it's a five dollar foundation pallet sir not Foundation
It's a five dollar eyeshadow pallet, so honestly how picky can you really be where the shadows of mind-blowing?
No the mats were decently pigmented. They blended. Okay. I was definitely underwhelmed by the shimmer shades
I kind of wanted a little more bang for my buck, but again who am I to judge?
I literally spent $5.00 on it so it's like yeah. It's good. It's great for $5.00. Is it a
great foundation palette no but I
Mean is it terrible for $5.00 absolutely not
I got a really really pretty look out of it that I actually really like so

Why Did Desiigner FALL OFF? (On Then Gone) - Duration: 9:19.
Hey guys, CDTVProductions here, and welcome to another episode of On then Gone, where
we look at rappers that have fallen off.
Today we will be looking at Desiigner, talking about his rise, his fall, answering why this
happened and in the end asking if he can make a comeback.
Now people say it is debatable that Desiigner has fallen off, but I personally think he
has, and I'm gonna explain why in this video.
So, this is CDTVProductions, you can follow me on Instagram under that name, and today
we will be looking at the rise and the fall of Desiigner.
The Come Up:
I think Desiigner's rise could be referred to as meteoric.
We all know what he came up from, it was of course the song Panda, released on December
15th, 2015.
This song was obviously gonna be a hit, it was so understandable.
It had thought provoking lyrics.
And was made by a guy who has no problem staying still and looking normal.
A deadly recipe for a banger right there.
And obviously it worked, as the song went 5 times platinum and was sampled by Kanye
West on The Life Of Pablo.
It also of course landed him a spot on Kanye's GOOD Music label, so things were looking insanely
promising for Desiigner.
He basically managed to blow up off of a single song.
So obviously, just a couple months later, he announced his album would be titled Life
Of Desiigner, clearly planning to drop it during his peak.
But we'll talk about that later.
His accolades increased further when in June 2016, Desiigner was revealed as one of the
ten XXL Freshmen of that year, and to this date has the most viewed 2016 Freshman freestyle,
sitting at 12 million views.
In the same month he made the Freshman list, he released his mixtape titled New English,
which had a good enough commercial performance, but didn't receive much in the way of critical
acclaim.
He would then have another successful single release in July of 2016 with Tiimmy Turner.
Whilst this wasn't the phenomenon that Panda was, it still peaked at number 34 on the Billboard
charts and has went platinum.
So in the span of less than a year, Desiigner has achieved 2 platinum singles, joined a
major label and worked with Kanye.
Surprisingly even with all this in his favour, the decline would start pretty fast after
that.
The Fall Down:
2016 was a great year for the twitchy man, but 2017 held nowhere near the same success.
For almost 7 months after Tiimmy Turner, Desiigner released nothing.
Then in February of 2017, he would come out with song named Outlet, but clearly the considerable
hype surrounding his name had cooled off, because this song did not hit the Billboard
100.
And this would be a theme for Desiigner, because every single other track he dropped in 2017,
those being Holy Ghost, Thank God I Got It, Up and Liife didn't even chart anywhere.
Not in the US, UK, Australia, France, Canada, basically nowhere.
Hell, I didn't even know he dropped songs called Thank God I Got It and Up, and I slightly
enjoy Desiigner's music to an extent.
The biggest thing he did in 2017 was feature on a song called Mic Drop Remix, which to
his credit did go gold, but as for solo success, there really wasn't much to be seen for
Desiigner in this year.
So, I know what you're thinking.
What about 2018?
Well so far this year, Desiigner is pretty much nowhere to be found.
He has not dropped a solo song this year so far, and his only notable feature was on the
Diplo song Suicidal, where ironically the phrase "I Fall Off" was mentioned numerous
times.
Desiigner has went from being played on radio stations worldwide, to basically being a non
factor.
I don't know about you guys, but I'd call that a fall off.
What Happened?:
So why did this happen?
I think one of the main reasons is that Desiigner didn't really capitalise on his success
fast enough.
You remember the album I mentioned earlier, Life Of Desiigner, which was announced in
June 2016?
It still has not dropped.
If he managed to drop that a few months after making the Freshman cover, it could've been
huge, as Desiigner's name was still quite hot at that point.
Now to his credit, he did drop the New English mixtape in July, a month after the Freshman
list, but I think dropping that mixtape instead of a full fledged album didn't help.
Because New English honestly wasn't that great, and I was kinda excited for it.
But it mostly just sounded unfinished, there was nothing as catchy as Panda on there, and
some of them were basically just snippets of songs.
Now obviously, albums take time to make, and maybe Desiigner is a perfectionist, so this
fall off isn't necessarily his fault.
Perhaps he just blew up too fast and wasn't able to get an album that he was happy with
ready in time to drop it at his peak.
It seems like Desiigner had all the necessary tools to succeed business wise, but as of
now, he just hasn't utilised those tools.
So I guess the last question we have to answer is, will he ever make a comeback?
The Comeback?:
Now here's where things start looking decent for Desiigner, because honestly, I feel like
he does have a chance for a comeback, he just needs to handle it correctly.
One wrong move at this point, and people might completely lose interest in him.
If he drops his album, that shit better be close to flawless, because it's dropping
almost 2 years after it's announced date.
Now Desiigner has stated that he will be dropping 2 albums in 2018, those most likely being
Life Of Desiigner and New English 2, so there is the possibility of his comeback happening
this year.

Homemade Lady Fingers/Sponge Fingers
Egg whites
Beat on high
When they start foaming add salt
When they reach soft peaks
slowly add the sugar
and continue beating until stiff and glossy
Add egg yolks
Beat for 5 seconds just to break the yolks
Remove the bowl from the stand mixer
Add some flour and fold gently
Repeat until there's no more flour left
Do not over mix the batter
Transfer the mixture to a pipping bag and cut a half inch tip
Pipe the batter into lines about 4 inches long keeping some distance between them
over ungreased parchment paper
Dust generously with icing sugar
Wait 1 minute and dust again
Cook in a preheated oven at 360º F for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly golden
