3 Year Anniversary Special: Origin of LowSpecGamer (+VidCon announcement!) - Duration: 6:04.March 2015.
After moving to a different continent and finishing university I had spent some time
trying to find a job
in the exciting world of tech startups.
Initially fascinated by what I saw as the best way to make use of a creative personality.
That did not work, as I was quickly disillusioned with how little creativity was actually involved
in Startup culture, and how it seemed more like a race to create a service
that could be sold to a bigger tech company than I desire to create something.
I wanted to do something that I was genuinely passionate about.
One of my mentors in the startup world once told me that people should not be creating
products, but rather building communities.
With that piece of life-changing advice,
I turned my attention to YouTube.
Like many people watching YouTube,
consuming content had been one of my daily activities while I finished University.
I was fascinated by tech channels that focused on small interesting topics.
You see, an idea had been bouncing on my head since before I switched continents.
This guy was my one and only PC for a really long time.
Through significant effort, I bought it in 2012 and back then it was a pretty decent
small form laptop.
But by the time I had moved it was having trouble playing most of the games that were
coming out and I was finding more and more drastic ways of getting it to work.
Because I was a student,
money was precious and there was no way I could get a better PC.
This was my one gateway into gaming.
And because of this, I was frustrated of how most of the bigger PC tech channels tend to
be focused on expensive hardware and high graphics.
I felt I could not call myself PC gamer because I did not own any of these things.
Why was it so hard to find gaming-focused PC channels with a focus on older hardware
and low settings?
So, these two things came together and I decided to stop waiting for such a channel to show
up, and to build my own.
Through a combination of begging and pitty, I convinced one of my best friend, a fantastic
designer to create me a logo,
I used some savings on a capture card and I spent weeks
working on a video on Arkham Origins which I uploaded on 30 of April 2015.
The video was terrible, but the idea was there.
I asked some people in a small subreddit I like what they thought about my idea... and
some people liked it.
So I continued.
On around June 2015 I video I made on the Witcher 3 went viral thanks to an article
in Kotaku.
I shot to 10 thousand subscribers in an instant in what was one of the most intense weekends
of my life.
I thought that was it, my one chance, my one opportunity to make it on YouTube.
And then, when the video was on its peak my channel received a copyright DCMA strikes on
6 of my videos.
This is not content ID, this was done manually and has much stronger consequences.
It was never clear what happened.
The DCMAs were signed by another YouTube user, who seemed to wanted to stop my channel from
growing.
But when I talked to this person he denied being involved and I never could confirm what was
the truth.
I received two strikes in one day, and with my young channel in the border of elimination,
I stopped making videos.
3 gruelling depressing weeks happened before the strikes where revised and all the momentum
from the viral video was gone.
I genuinely feared back then that I had missed my one chance but I decided to continue going,
for one very simple reason.
Since then I have grown, diversified, build PCs, developed a fascination for handheld
PCs,
created a subreddit, had viewers create a discord without my initial involvement,
I have had several videos reaching a million views,
been interviewed in podcasts and websites and attended conventions and gave a talk two
panels and a talk at vidcon Europe and...
Look.
There have been hard times.
There have been times, more than I am willing to admit, where I have thought I was not going
anywhere with this thing.
But I continued, and I did so in part because I have found on this channel a topic that
I am passionate about and engages my creativity,
but also because of you.
Because of the passion, you have shown.
The emails thanking me for help.
The trashtops you are building and send me pictures of, the support you provide for this
very weird and different view at PC gaming.
Today marks 3 years since I uploaded my first video back when this whole thing started and I still
feel there is so much work to be done, so many angles to explore , so many experiments to do.
Not matter if you started watching recently or if you have been around from the start.
Thank you for 3 years of LowSpecGamer.
I really do think the growing number of smaller communities and niche focused channels are
the most interesting things happening on YouTube right now, and I hope for the opportunity to talk
more about that and share my experience in YouTube in hopes of getting more people to
create interesting content.
In fact, I have the honour of being a featured creator on VidCon us this year.
where I will be talking about just that, how to succeed as Niche channel.
If you are the kind of persons that go to VidCon, the link and discount code for tickets
are in the description and hey if you are going
send me a tweet or a message on Discord or something.
or just follow me on twitter and if you see me going to any conference that you are also going to send me a tweet. I read everything.
Where will the next year take us?
Let's find out together.

REFORMA URGENTE - Duration: 2:30.Starts now another episode of "Reform me ASAP".
Call us and we'll go to you.
We got a letter
from a crew that is desperate for this renovation.
They are behind this door
and have no idea they've been selected by us.
They are in for a treat!
Come with us.
This is "Reform me ASAP".
Surprise!
I'm sorry, guys. Our mistake.
No, It was not a mistake!
Are you from "Reform me ASAP"?
Yeah, I am.
Right. I sent you the letter.
-It was me. -Oh...
-Good then! -Nice to see you here!
What is in need of a reform?
The Social Security.
What?
Don't you do urgent fix-ups?
We need a Social Security Reform. The pyramid is upside down.
Fewer people are getting born and society is getting old.
It doesn't add up.
But you can't take money from the military, okay?
Or from the judicial system. God, no!
Don't mess with anyone that can take us down.
-You know? -Exactly!
Well, I don't know anything about that subject.
I don't know what to do.
Me neither. I'm a farmer.
I'm a retired cop.
I'm a smuggler.
Right, right. But I'm just a TV show host.
But isn't your show called "Reform me ASAP"?
Is there any reform more important than this?
Well, there's the tax reform.
-Oh, shoot... -Do you know anything about taxes?
-Those guys... -No, no.
No.
What about the prison system?
-No. -No?
What about education?
I don't have the knowledge but...
But I do have here a wonderful crew
of contractors, engineers, and architects.
Well...
Do you guys want to renovate this building in any way?
Not this building, no.
But there's a triplex that hasn't been used in a year.
It could use some painting job.
This is "Reform me ASAP". Who is our next victim?
-Surpri... -Oh, thank God you're here!
We need a new spelling reform.
The tilde on top of the N on Spanish words.
How about substituting PH for F?
We're back with "Reform me ASAP".
On today's...
We're unsatisfied with the Catholic Church.
We're want a Protestant Reformation.
Fuck it! I give up. I give up.

How to Make Authentic Cacio e Pepe | The Stay At Home Chef - Duration: 2:50.Today on The Stay At Home Chef I'm showing you how to make
Authentic Cacio e Pepe
I just got back from a trip to Italy and I wanted to share with you
some of the authentic Italian pasta dishes that I came across in my travels
Today I'm showing you how to make a Cacio e Pepe which is a very simple
pasta dish with just a few ingredients and it's all about the technique so I'm
going to walk you through every single step. To start out you'll need to bring a
large pot of water to a boil on the stove. As the water is coming to a boil
you'll want to salt it with 1 tablespoon of salt. We're gonna use some of the
water that we cook the pasta in later so it's important to season it with the
right amount of salt. Next we're gonna cook our pasta and for this you'll need
tonarrelli pasta which is a thick long round pasta but it can be a little bit
hard to find in the United States. If you can't find tanarelli you can use just a
thick spaghetti noodle. You'll want to cook your pasta for the indicated time
on the package directions. You'll want to cook up an entire pound of pasta and I
like to use tongs and give it an occasional stir to make sure the pasta
doesn't stick together. Just before the pasta is finished cooking you'll want to
reserve about 1 cup of that pasta water. As the pasta cooks the water gets all
starchy and flavorful and this is exactly what we need to make our sauce
so you want to make sure you reserve some and set it aside. Then we're gonna
use some tongs and instead of draining the pasta in a colander you're gonna
remove it directly from the pot and place it into a large mixing bowl. Then
we need to work quickly on this next part so watch closely. You'll need
1 1/2 cups of grated pecorino Romano cheese. Sprinkle that over your
pasta. Add in about 2 tablespoons of freshly cracked pepper and then start
adding in -- I'll say about a quarter cup-- of that reserved pasta water and mix
this together quickly. The heat from the pasta will melt the cheese and form a
little sauce with the pasta water. Add a little bit more water slowly as you stir
I like to add the entire cup so that you get a real sauce and you don't have a
dry pasta. The trick on this is to work quickly so that your cheese
doesn't clump up into one giant melted cheese ball. You should end up with a
nice cheesy peppery pasta. Serve this up immediately while it's still hot and top
it off with a little bit more of that grated pecorino Romano cheese.
Thanks for watching! You can find the full written recipe in the video description. Bee sure
to subscribe, like, and follow and check out the rest of my videos where you can

Alright alright, first of all I didn't actually break my arm. It did hurt a lot
and I guess I'm slightly double-jointed but my arm doesn't normally bend that way
so it was actually a real surprise when we watched the footage and saw just
how far it bent backwards. I'm pretty lucky that I didn't actually get hurt
but when we saw that footage I just had to do the mortal combat edit with a zoom
in and the x-ray because I thought that was hilarious. I hope you guys enjoyed it too!
Anyways that was just a small taste of the destruction we're gonna be doing
with Captain America's new shields, if you guys haven't watched that build video
yet it's right there and you should totally check it out. In the meantime
make sure you subscribe with notifications turned on because the big test video

Beach Formal & Beach Wedding Dress Code - What To Wear & What To Avoid - Gentleman's Gazette - Duration: 10:18.Welcome back to the Gentleman's Gazette!
Today's video is about the beach wedding or the beach formal dress code for men.
There are very few reasons to dress formally at a beach except for a wedding.
So let's assume you've traveled very far you got to your resort and you assume you can
buy your attire there, that's not the case.
Usually you'll find shorts and flip-flops not something that would be appropriate for
a wedding.
So plan ahead and bring the right stuff because a business suit or regular tuxedo is simply
over the top.
So first of all what is Beach formal or Beach wedding?
It's typically used for beach weddings and it's comprised of the most formal things you
can wear at the beach without looking totally out of place.
It's quite similar to resort attire in the sense that it has lots of lighter colors,
open weaves, springy or summery colors that are well suited for a tropical climate.
However before we dive in in what Beach formal and Beach wedding specifically means - including
all the different colors and options you have.
Let's talk about what not to wear.
First, never wear any sandals with a suit.
It just doesn't go together.
If you wear long pants, you could just take off your shoes, take off your socks and roll
up the hems.
That way it works with the beach wedding theme.
Because it's warmer outside, some may want to skip the jacket and go maybe with a vest
and matching pants instead.
I think it's an awkward look and if you're really fair it's not really much cooler than
if you were a lightweight open weave jacket.
Also don't wear a suit jacket or a blazer with shorts.
That's maybe a look that is originally from Bermuda and they wear it with over the calf
socks.
You show up like at a beach wedding it just looks awkward and it draws too much attention
to yourself which is not the point.
You want to have the bride and the groom be the center of that day.
Avoid bringing short-sleeved shirts because either you go a little more casual and have
a polo shirt with short sleeves or you take a long-sleeve shirt and if it's quite warm
you can simply roll up your shirt sleeves.
It will always look better than a short sleeved shirt.
Short-sleeved shirts are particularly bad when worn with a jacket or a sport coat.
One thing I've seen recently at the beach wedding that was quite awkward was a suit
with a shirt that was untucked.
Someone tried to be more casual and relaxed but it just looks weird.
I know Justin Timberlake wore it at the Super Bowl halftime show but it was a camel suit
with a bandana and overall it had nothing to do with classic style.
Another thing to avoid is a monochromatic look.
By that I mean a pants or a jacket or shirt and even a tie all matching in the same color.
It lacks contrast and overall monochromatic outfits are never flattering.
Likewise, you should skip bold or any whimsical patterns because huge Paisley's or Hawaiian shirt style suit
jackets or pants are simply not appropriate.
Some people like to wear suspenders but if you do so I suggest to work at least a vest
or a jacket.
If you just have it on top of a shirt it looks weird.
Likewise it's a beach wedding so you shouldn't bring any kind of formal accessories such
as black shoes or black belts.
It provides too much of a contrast to your lighter colored pants and it's overall out of
place.
So what should you wear?
First of all, if you think you don't have anything in your current closet it's better
to buy something than to rent something because you can always wear it whenever you travel
into warmer climates.
If you are part of the wedding party you simply don't have a choice.
Simply go along with what the bride and groom have planned for you.
It's their day and you just have to accept it and go with the flow.
So what are the items you should invest in?
First of all, a pair of more casual closed-toed shoes.
If you're often in warmer climates I suggest thinking about a perforated leather shoe because
it's something that keeps you cooler and it's definitely more casual than a regular leather
shoe.
At the same time it's still classically stylish.
If you like it bolder, you may be able to pull off a spectator shoe but always keep
in mind you never want to overshadow the bride and groom because it's their day.
If you want to invest in something that you can wear at home, I suggest to go with a loafer
either a penny loafer maybe a tassel loafer in a light tan color because it's versatile
and you can just wear it at the beach or at a beach wedding but also to the office or
casual Fridays.
Other colors that work well are tan and even white buckskin shoes because in the tropics
or the beach wedding it's an appropriate look.
If your pants have belt loops you want a belt such as the ones you can see here.
Just make sure it picks up some colors in your outfit.
Definitely don't show up in shorts unless the bride and groom have specifically asked
you to do so.
When it comes to shirts, cotton or linen are king!
Linen breathes a little more heavily but in any case you want something with an open weave
so you can really feel the breeze at the sea.
You may be tempted to go with silk because it is often very lightweight and has a nice
touch but it is in fact quite insulating and so I suggest not to wear it.
Skip the French cuffs and cufflinks rather go for buttoned barrel cuffs because it's just
one layer of fabric and if you're really overheating you can even unbutton the shirt button on
your cuff.
Because even a beach wedding is more formal than regular outings at the beach it's okay
to wear a suit.
If you do so, go with something lighter colored maybe a seersucker suit or a lighter suit
maybe in khaki or tan or you can go with a combination of let's say seersucker pants
and a lighter jacket like just the one I'm wearing here right now.
Lighter colors have the advantage because they reflect the sunlight and so you stay
cooler.
Definitely skip navy or gray colors because they're simply out of place at the beach.
Fun colors such as lighter greens maybe petrol are perfectly appropriate.
In terms of fabric choice, you can go with wool especially if it's an open weave like
a tropical fabric.
You can also go with cotton, linen or blends thereof.
Make sure to stay clear of polyester or nylon because those fibers will just make you sweat.
Likewise your jacket should be made of a lighter material but what's even more important
is that it has an open weave and a sewn canvas.
If it's glued which is something you usually find on less expensive suits it's more insulating
and you'll stay hot at the beach.
To learn more about the differences of suit construction, please check out this video.
And differences between $100 and $1,000 suits can be found here.
Definitely opt for more casual details in your jackets which means notch lapels or patch
pockets rather than peak lapels and jetted pockets.
In terms of accessories, it's okay to go without neck wear because it is warm.
However it's a wedding after all and you want to put your best foot forward.
I suggest to either go with a knit tie because it has an open weave or maybe a bow tie because
it's lighter in weight.
You can also have bolder colors or summery colors and you can look for fabrics like this
shantung silk here which is more knobby and more casual than a traditional wedding tie
or an office tie.
For a full selection of different knit ties, bow ties and ties you can wear to a beach
wedding, please check out our shop here.
Even if you decide against neck wear I always suggest you go with a pocket square because
it quickly elevates your outfit in just very simple steps.
We even have instructions on how to fold them here.
Of course you can also find a wide selection of pocket squares here.
On top of that, a little boutonniere in your buttonhole can be a nice addition.
However sometimes that's reserved just for the wedding party so when in doubt I'd rather
skip the boutonniere and normally go with a pocket square.
So you go with shoes do you need to wear socks?
Basically I always like to have over the calf socks that will take off.
If that's too much for you maybe go with pair of no-show socks so that way you have that
beach look but you still have shoes on and you're not sweating or you don't get blisters
inside your shoes.
In today's video I'm wearing a typical outfit that I would wear if the dress code asks for
beach formal or beach wedding.
It consists of an off-white or cream-colored jacket.
It's single breasted so it keeps me cool.
It reflects the sunlight.
I wear it with a light colored, light blue shirt with an open weave so I stay cool.
I combine it with a pair of seersuckers which are very lightweight and perfect for summer.
And the shirt ties together the jacket and the pants quite well.
I wear it with tan woven leather wingtips which are more casual.
I'm wearing it with a matching leather belt and my pocket square picks up the brown tones
of the shoes and the belts as well as the blue of the shirt and the seersucker pants.
My bowtie on the other hand is a little bolder.
It's a green Shantung silk stripe tie with a dark purple stripe.
And, I combined it with a pair of dark green socks so everything is harmonious.
At a regular wedding, I would never wear a white or off-white jacket but because it's at
the beach it's perfectly fine.
For the alternative outfit, I simply swapped a green jacket for the green fresco one.
Fresco is a nice wool fabric with an open weave so you really feel that breeze.
I also exchanged the bow tie for a knit tie in a mottled orange tone which is very summery
and perfect for a beach wedding.
I also swapped the shoes and socks for a pair of tassel loafers in green so it goes with
the entire outfit.
Of course at the beach it's bright and warm so a Panama hat may be exactly the right thing
to bring.
If it's still to bright bring a pair of sunglasses and combine it together.
If you don't like the hat you can also just go with sunglasses, no problem!
Both sunglasses and Panama hats are always good stylish things to bring along with you
for a beach wedding.

How Cars Got Safe | WheelHouse | Donut Media - Duration: 8:15.(upbeat music)
- Most new cars are already really safe from the factory.
Things like modern computers, combined with decades
of car design experience have made modern cars
safer than ever before.
But experience doesn't come without making mistakes.
And computers haven't always existed.
Were cars death boxes of metal in the early years?
Well...
(car screeching)
Yeah.
So how'd we go from unsurvivable death traps
to the cars we know today?
When the first automobiles arrived in the 1880s,
inventors like Karl Benz weren't concerned
about the safety of their creations.
Instead, these early vehicles focused on more
important things, like running around without falling apart.
And getting out of the poop stream of a horse.
(retching)
Just take a look at the Benz Patent-Motorwagen,
a very early motorized vehicle.
This thing is basically a bench on wheels,
with an engine strapped on for kicks.
By the early 1900s, more and more of the well-to-do
were purchasing cars to replace their horse and carriage.
Out of self-preservation, these early cars
had some concessions to safety, like brakes and lights.
But the brakes was just a stick with some wood
that pushed against your wheel and the lights
were less powerful than the one on your phone.
For the most part though, safety was left
in the hands of the automakers alone.
Some speed limits were imposed, but those were more or less
to look out for the people not in cars.
With few developed roads and rudimentary technology,
these early cars didn't often travel at high speeds anyway.
As the technology matured and companies like Ford
started to introduce more efficient construction methods,
more people could actually afford to buy cars.
This increase in drivers forced governments
to start building infrastructure, such as paved roads,
which did improve safety for drivers,
but automakers and safety equipment
were completely unregulated.
(musical horns blaring)
- [Announcer] May of 1945 saw the lights go on again.
- The second World War proved to be a reset button
for the car industry.
With no cars produced for almost five years,
automakers had to fill empty dealer lots
for the returning G.I.'s, anxious to spend their pay.
In designing these new models, developments from the war,
such as improved manufacturing and materials,
could be applied to the cars being built.
These improved materials made the car stronger and safer.
But for the most part, automakers returned to building
along the same formula as before,
with safety as an afterthought.
It wasn't long ago until the returning G.I.'s
began having families and wanted to protect those families.
This led many automakers to begin offering
optional safety equipment on their models.
Ford introduced optional lap belts, and Volvo introduced
the first three-point seat belt in 1959.
After seat belt legislation was introduced in the U.S.,
the ability to survive a crash uninjured increased by 40%,
and mild injuries decreased by 35%.
That's a big deal.
With seat belts, manufacturers figured they had done enough.
But a guy named Ralph Nader published a scathing report
in 1965 on the lack of safety, titled, Unsafe At Any Speed.
This was the book that killed the Corvair.
For a number of reasons, the Corvair had particularly
horrible safety statistics.
Some of this had to do with a unique design
that required underinflated tires for proper handling.
But the rest of the safety issues were just because
it was a car and cars weren't safe.
Nader's book took a deep dive into every aspect
of design that made the car unsafe.
What made the book revelatory, however,
(gentle music)
was the fact that Nader exposed the fact that
Chevy knew the car was unsafe and didn't make it safer
because making it safer would cost them money.
People didn't like the idea that companies
placed more value on profits than human life,
and soon, public demand forced government regulations,
regarding safety to be implemented in America.
Two short years after Unsafe At Any Speed,
the U.S. government formed
the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration,
and introduced the first
Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard.
These new requirements on automakers
selling cars in the U.S. coincided
with OPEC's 1973 oil embargo.
While it may seem that these two
would not influence one another,
the timing of these two events proved to have some
not great effects on the auto industry.
All that safety equipment, which weighed a ton,
combined with the miserly fuel-sipping engines
proved to create an entire decade of slow,
lethargic, 1970s American metal,
wearing terrible low-impact bumpers.
This period of malaise, which is what it's now called,
finally came to an end, thanks to the biggest thing
to happen to cars since cars.
(upbeat music)
By the 1980s, automakers had access to the levels
of computing power that would allow them
to digitally design a car and model its crash behavior
without having to actually build and crash an entire car.
Computer-aided design or CAD led to the development
of new ways to meet government regulations
on passenger vehicle safety.
The most impactful of these was the widespread adoption
of crumple zones.
Car companies build a super strong center cell
around the passenger compartment,
while designing the front and rear sections
to manage as much impact as possible.
This is still largely how we design
and build our cars today.
After a crash, cars can be absolutely mangled,
but the people who walk away
can survive relatively unharmed.
To prove that crumple zones worked, automakers started using
crash test dummies borrowed from the aerospace industry.
These dummies measured the force of impacts,
and while they showed that the center section
in the new construction method was sufficiently strong,
the restraints on the occupants were not.
This led to the introduction of passive restraints.
Or airbags.
Because a seat belt is always holding you,
and will be used no matter what in a crash,
it is considered active,
while the airbag is considered passive,
because it deploys only during a crash
and may not ever be used.
The design and testing methods pioneered in the 1980s
led to an exponential improvement in car safety,
that may not have been possible without computers.
In the 1990s and the early 21st century,
computers would continue to provide
the main increase in automotive safety.
But now, it's because the computers
are fitting inside the cars.
- [Narrator] A shadowy flight into the dangerous.
- In the beginning, computer-controlled driver aids
mainly consisted of anti-slip traction control systems.
They were primitive compared to modern technology.
But technology quickly increased
and cars today are safer than ever.
Systems like Tesla's Autopilot
and Cadillac's Super Cruise are hinting at the future.
Allowing the car to guide itself
using onboard sensors and computers
for short distances and times under certain conditions.
And the best part is that if your car kills you
in autopilot, you weren't paying attention,
so you died peacefully without any fear of imminent death
that wakes me every evening
in a cold sweat from my nightmares.
As these technologies increase, less and less
human intervention will be required.
This will not only make for a more relaxed
driving experience, but will also remove
the most unpredictable aspect of cars on the road,
humans.
- He ran me over, I jumped on the hood,
call the police for me!
- [Female] Okay!

2Minutes2Virtue: Don't Get Cut Off From Christ - Duration: 2:20.Hello I'm Father Michael Isenberg
the Assistant Vocation Director
for the Diocese of Arlington
When I was a boy we had a new boy
moving to the neighborhood
and he wanted to be part of our group of boys
And we were a little nervous
We didn't know who this kid was
and so we wanted to make sure that he really wanted to be part of our group
So we had a couple challenges that we gave him
The first one is had to go to his house and get that box of fruit roll-ups that we all wanted
The second one is he had to go borrow a canoe from the neighbor
so we could have a fun time on the lake
Sure enough he did all these things for us
You know we might not have been the most saintly of kids but we wanted to
make sure that this guy wanted really to be part of our group
You know today we have Saul
also known as Saint Paul
And he's had his conversion and he's now in Jerusalem with the Christian people
with the disciples
But they're a little bit nervous of him
They're keeping their distance
they're giving him some freedom to go about
But they're watching him
And he gets into an argument in a discussion with the Hellenists
and in that discussion they want to kill him
and so now these disciples are looking at him a little
bit differently
and they begin to welcome him into their group
They actually send him off to Tarsus
to be away from all the things that are going on there
to study more
And you know our Gospel today is about the 'vine and the branches'
St. Paul, his branch has been grafted on to that vine of Jesus
and it's beginning to flourish
and it's going to continue to flourish
many, many other branches are going to be grafted onto that for many years
He's one of the greatest evangelizers
the Church ever had
You know it's a challenge for us
because in our baptism we all become branches on that vine of Jesus
But sometimes we are small branches
We haven't really grown into the fullness
that we should have
We haven't flourished the way we should
You know your challenge this week
is to say, 'What is it that I haven't given fully to Our Lord yet?'
'What is it that's holding me back from flourishing the way that He wants?'
And don't be afraid to give

John Mayer is the World's Best-Dressed Rockstar: Here are 10 of Our Favorite Outfits - Duration: 6:12.He's the bluesy rockstar known best for
his mom-friendly fanbase and Grammy-winning
hits like "Your Body is a Wonderland."
But over the past five years, John Mayer has become
a bonafide messiah on the streetwear scene too.
Famed for his huge collection of visvim...
rumor has it he owns more than the brand's founder
Hiroki Nakamura does...
He's shaken up the rigid rock world with his hype-friendly,
colorful fits, and an encyclopaedic knowledge of
Asia's streetwear scene.
The 40-year-old singer-songwriter and guitarist
has even spoken about his love for jumping
on sneaker drops in the past.
He once told Nike they make him more excited
than "going to a Mercedes dealership."
Hell, if you've got the cash to spend on
a new Benz, why wouldn't you spend it on
some Supreme too?
So from his on-stage outfits to his fashion-friendly
Instagram feed, these are
10 of John Mayer's finest style moments...
We all know John is one of visvim's biggest fans,
and he certainly proved it with this
'fit pic he posted on Instagram earlier this year.
From his cargo pants to his suede wakanabi boots,
John's dressed head to toe in Nakamura's
storied streetwear brand.
But it's the patterned FW18 kimono that
EVERYBODY's vying for.
Our tip for pulling it off?
Layer it over simple pieces, just like Mayer does.
In this paparazzi shot, John proves he's
in the know by wearing one standout piece:
A pink box-fit hoodie with oversized laces
for drawstrings by Japanese cult brand
KAPITAL.
He complements it with a pair of crisp black
trousers and some OFF-WHITE x Nike Air Max
90 kicks, gifted to the rockstar by Virgil himself.
Here Mayer shows us how to look slick while
keeping comfortable on a long-haul flight.
In this look spotted after touching down in
Rio de Janeiro, John layers a two-piece floral
get-up from KAPITAL over a simple grey tee.
His bold red sliders are yet another visvim cop.
Crazily on trend for Spring/Summer 2018,
this is a perfect look for a streetwear fan heading
someplace sunny.
Anybody who's kept an eye on Demna at Balenciaga
knows that track jackets in retro colorways
are in for Spring/Summer '18.
While in Rio, John was spotted rocking this
eye-catching, vintage jacket and short 'fit...
the kind you could find at your own local vintage store.
Making it more luxurious, he paired it with a
Louis Vuitton backpack and some
ACRONYM x Nike Air Prestos.
This is a lot of color to pull of if you're
not a man like Mayer, so streetwear fans...
wear it wisely.
He might be a streetwear obsessive, but John Mayer
rarely shows off luxury sport looks.
This one here is the exception.
Appropriately for a Valentine's Day Instagram post,
John flexed this millennial pink outfit
from the Italian brand Stone Island,
complete with technical sweatpants and
zip-through hoodie.
We know real men wear pink, but John stops short
of looking like a candy wrapper by wearing
adidas's Superstar silhouette, made in collaboration
with another of his favorite brands...
BAPE.
We've never felt more broke than when
John Mayer turned his $500 tee from the Supreme
x Louis Vuitton collab into an art project.
He wore the tee on stage in Phoenix last summer,
flexing the '70s pastel dye job with some
cargo pants from Nike's outdoor-friendly
ACG brand, and some mountaineering-style sneakers
from Louis Vuitton.
Either way, it seems like he's been spending
a little too much time with Online Ceramics,
the DIY T-shirt brand that Mayer collaborated
with on some crazy tie-dye merch for his band
Dead & Co last year.
If it weren't for the hyped brands John Mayer
so often wears, he could easily get
away with dressing like every other dude his age.
But on stage he makes the T-shirt and
blue jeans cool again.
At a Denver stop on his recent tour,
he paired a basic look with some mountain boots
from YEEZY Season 4 in the classic camel colorway.
If that wasn't cool enough, after the show
he handed them over to illustrator Matt McCormick,
who transformed them into a sick, one-off
work of art that we all want to get our hands on.
If you needed more evidence that John can
do low key, check out this look.
His nuanced, mom-friendly take on the Ralph Lauren
Polo Bear trend is simple: Just a vintage
sweater with some distressed denim, courtesy of
WTAPS.
But look closer.
John is casually flexing the ice on his wrist...
an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch in platinum,
costing a cool $280,000.
Even when this Grammy star is off duty,
you can still spot him wearing some of the best
outfits on Instagram.
On Christmas, Mayer headed back home to Montana
for vacation but came prepped with
some snow-friendly looks.
Here, he layers a multi-colored shearling-trim
jacket from KAPITAL over a long-sleeve tee,
bearing a quote from none other than Bob Marley.
Clearly it's one of his favorites,
as he's been spotted in it before.
Low-key and loose grey slacks finish
off this hype-friendly look.
Like most of us, John's love of streetwear
started with his sneaker collection.
While he's branched out, he still loves
a classic pair of Nike Air Max.
He recently launched his own unofficial collection,
inspired by his favorite show, 'Rick & Morty.'
The latest colorway, called "Pickle Rick,"
pairs a forest green base, with a deep red
tick and fluorescent accents,
and can be bought through NIKEiD.
If you want to cop the whole 'fit, his cuffed
camo sweatpants are from WTAPS.
But you might have some trouble getting your
hands on that jacket...
It's a vintage noragi, and knowing John's
love for starting trends rather than following
them, don't be surprised if it's a rare one of a kind.
Instead, if you want to jump on John's favorite brand,
visvim always have a few in their roster.

It was another busy morning over in Building B
at the hot new startup, Bumble's Widget Factory.
But wherever you looked something was amiss!
There were so many parts, but none of them fit.
"Fidget spinner or a dish?" the workers didn't know.
It felt like they worked in such lonely silos.
As time whittled by, work slowed to a crawl,
surely this wasn't the best way to do it all.
The frustration grew and patience wore thin,
but then some papers from R&D blew in.
Lo and behold all of the puzzle pieces fit,
those siloed work structures had made a muck out of it.
Now working with perspective productivity grew,
from an open workplace bloomed a more efficient crew.
And all of the world was filled with delight
when Bumble's Widget Factory became Bumble's Awesome Bikes.
So what was their secret sauce of success? Trello's new home, that's what cleared up the mess.

The Untold Truth Of Tyler Perry's Madea - Duration: 4:32.Tyler Perry's Mabel Simmons, a.k.a. Madea, is one of the most memorable characters in
movies today.
Perry has featured this gun-toting granny in a slew of films since Madea's cinematic
debut in 2005's Diary of a Mad Black Woman, but there still may be a lot you don't know
about her.
Let's dive right into the fabulous world of Madea — and the man who created her.
Oprah's influence
Perry has been open about his extremely rough childhood living with a physically and mentally
abusive father.
As a young adult, Perry heard Oprah Winfrey say that writing about one's traumas could
be cathartic, and he ended up doing just that.
According to CinemaBlend, he worked on writing his first play, which focused on childhood
abuse, for six years and even lived in his car for periods of time before it finally
became a hit in 1998.
The birth of Madea
When Perry started out as a playwright in the mid-'90s, he wrote plays that had music
and melodrama, but no Madea.
She showed up in his third play, I Can Do Bad All by Myself.
Perry told Winfrey in an interview that originally, Madea was only supposed to be in the play
for five minutes, but when the lead actress didn't show up, Perry expanded the character.
He explained,
"Five minutes before the show, I put on the costume and stood at the mirror for the first
time.
I'm saying, damn, are you really going to do this?
Then the show started and I had no choice — they pushed me out onstage."
Madea was a little different in the very first performances, mainly seated in one spot.
But according to Perry, when he finally stood up and moved around the stage, the audience
laughed and gave him a standing ovation.
"Hallelujah!"
Madea's roots
The roots of the tall, sassy ex-stripper grandma came from Perry's abusive childhood.
He shared with Essence that his mother would take him to beauty parlors to keep him away
from his father's wrath, so he saw adult women in a way that many children don't.
He explained,
"The nurturing part of Madea comes from my mother, who would open the doors of our home
to you no matter who you were.
[...] My aunt inspired the pistol-packing, the wig and the voice."
Eddie Murphy's film Nutty Professor 2: The Klumps also influenced Perry.
Just like Murphy, Perry would go on to play multiple roles in the Madea films.
Perry told Winfrey,
"I have to thank Eddie Murphy, 'cause after I saw him do the Klumps, I said, 'I'm going
to try my hand at a female character.'
[...] I need to write him a check.
Say thank you."
Stage versus screen
Most Madea movies are based on one of Perry's touring plays, but there are differences between
the stage and screen versions.
Not only do the plays have a musical aspect the films don't, but the Madea in the theater
was even more outrageous, especially in the early days, with more gun use and pot smoking.
He eventually toned down the character a little because of children watching.
He told Creative Loafing,
"I realized how many children were paying attention, so I wanted to her to be a little
more responsible.
[...] But for the most part, she's pretty much stayed true to the same old pain in the
ass."
A Chris Rock joke
Most Madea movies come from Perry's imagination, but one of them was Chris Rock's idea.
According to Variety, Perry had wanted to move onto other projects outside of Madea,
but then he saw a gag in the 2015 film Top Five in which Chris Rock's character is losing
out at the box office to the fictional Boo!
A Madea Halloween.
Perry and Lionsgate decided to make a real movie with that very theme and title, and
it was a huge hit in 2016.
(the universal reaction to clowns)
Big breaks
Some Hollywood stars have gotten their big break by being in a Madea movie.
Shemar Moore was relatively unknown when he was cast in Diary of a Mad Black Woman.
Shortly after, he landed the series Criminal Minds, where he stayed for over a decade.
Sofia Vergara appeared in Meet the Browns and Madea Goes to Jail shortly before she
started her longtime run on ABC's Modern Family.
And Taraji P. Henson credits Perry, who cast her in I Can Do Bad All by Myself with helping
her to ask for more money in Hollywood.
In her 2016 memoir, Around the Way Girl, she wrote,
"I was grateful for the work, but even more, I'm grateful to Tyler for putting me on the
road to being paid my worth."
Backlash
According to People magazine, Spike Lee, as well as others, have criticized the character
for buffoonery — and for portraying the black community in a bad light.
Perry told CNN that those critics miss the point of the themes in the Madea films, saying,
"They miss the messages of empowerment.
[...] It's broad, it's over the top.
Great.
Fine.
I get it.
But how can you miss the message of forgiveness?
How can you miss the messages of empowerment?"
"Do you see the millions of people that are coming to see this?
Why the hell would I be worried about a Spike Lee or anybody else, they can go straight
to hell."

Cold Case with Joe Hartzler - Duration: 3:00.(Law and Order chunk-chunk)
- Damn.
With no new leads and the girl still missing,
looks like it's another cold case.
- Did someone say...
cold case?
- Hey, all right Tom!
- Heads up, Bruce!
- Just what we needed.
Coolest cop award goes to Tom.
- Aw, c'mon.
- [Kelly] Nice.
- [Voiceover] It was perfect, but,
could I ever feel that way again?
(Law and Order chunk-chunk)
- Hey Kelly, how'd the perp in that bust
on 5th and Broad wind up?
- 10 years.
- Hey, Kelly, how about that missing girl?
- Still a cold case Tom, same as yesterday.
- Somebody say cold case?
- Sure why not?
- Heads up, Bruce!
Woo!
Lieutenant!
- No.
- Okay.
- [Voiceover] The moment just didn't feel as good
as that first time, and it never would again,
even though I tried, over and over.
- Cold case?
Heads up, Bruce.
(Law and Order chunk-chunk)
- [Voiceover] Then things got worse.
The force actually started solving the cold cases.
- Got 'em.
Man, I can't believe we solved all those cold cases.
- Aw, c'mon Lieutenant, it was a piece of cake.
- Hey, did somebody say piece of cake?
- (laughs)
- Aw, that's a really solid joke Bruce.
- [Voiceover] I did the only thing left.
I had to create the cold cases.
- Dammit.
Three more cold cases.
- Did someone say cold case?
- Not now, Tom.
- Heads up, Bruce.
(splat)
- Bruce was murdered.
Don't you remember?
He's one of the cold cases, you asshole.
- Did somebody say cold case?
- Tom!
You used to be cool.
- Now, I hate you.
(Law and Order chunk chunk)
- Who else we got?
- Investigating the murder of a teenage male.
Six foot three inches.
- Sounds like a real tall boy.
- [Kelly] (laughing) And he's holding a tall boy.
- Yeah. (laughing)
He's holding a tall boy.
- Tom.
- It's a tall boy, he's got a tall boy.
- Tom's back! Tom, Tom! - Tall boy beer!
- Tom! Tom! Tom! Tom! Tom! Tom!
- [Voiceover] There I was, back on top of the world.
(cymbal crash)
(squeak)

Is this the Most Functional Stealth Camper Van Conversion? - Updates to Tylers Ford E350. - Duration: 6:06.(light jazzy music)
- Hey again, everybody.
Tyler here with my Ford E350.
You may remember me from Forrest's last video
where we did a big tour of my van.
And we wanted to do just a quick update
addressing a lot of the questions that were
brought up in that video and introduce you to
my new little buddy Casper.
We're gonna go with addressing the shower question first,
because that was huge.
Everyone was asking about how I do it
without getting everything wet.
We didn't set it up right the first time
so we're gonna do it.
So the shower tank is right here.
Normally it doesn't sit right there.
It hooks up right here.
Shower curtain comes out from where
the toilet is now residing.
This guy.
(light music)
And there you have your shower curtain,
and you just put a plastic tote there
to catch all the water,
and pour it in my gray water collection.
Goes open here.
Hello.
(light music)
This has been modified from the shelf
that rolled down, or that folded down, sorry.
And then I've just made it into a net up here
to hold everything.
Sleeping bags, extra clothes, keyboard still in here,
and lots of just backpacking equipment and stuff.
But it's really upped the storage quite a bit.
Made it less of a hassle with this swinging
thing all the time.
Guitar has moved down here to a stand.
It used to be hanging beside the bed
but I found that I would bang into it
with my elbow all the time.
It just got to be kinda cumbersome and annoying
and would de-tune by whacking against the wall,
which I found to be really irritating.
And my laptop kept sliding around.
So I made this little bookshelf
to kinda store things, and books,
and my little drawing tablet.
One of the biggest things, the biggest change,
is this little guy.
Casper?
Oh, he's not in there.
Uh, in his kennel, I took the door off of a
standard kennel and made some custom hardware.
So he has a little place to live.
It's insulated with reflectics.
And lined with fleece so the walls are really soft,
and it keeps cool in there in the summer.
And it kept him really warm during the
winter months for sure.
And the trash can has now been converted
to Casper's food.
This is a great place to put it where he can't get at it.
I've added another water jug underneath,
another 25 liters.
And I've since gone with a single burner stove
instead of the dual burner,
which is a lot easier to deal with.
Unscrewing and screwing-in the propane
was just getting to be a hassle.
Great new location for the toilet.
That stops it from coming out.
And I've also, for the cleanliness and stuff I installed
a 12-volt shop vac.
It can reach like every corner of the van.
(vacuum humming)
Back here if you need to, the counter, the dog.
(laughing)
Yeah, that's been really helpful.
In regards to the rainwater,
I've had a lot of questions of if I'm drinking it,
or storing it, or giving it to friends, etc., etc.
And that's not the case.
It was just a gimmicky thing that I installed
because I saw that the rainwater collected there.
And if it does get collected, it just gets used
on my mountain bike or to clean mud off my tires.
And we've moved the water tank that was way up here
down here facing out the back to wash my bike.
So this is the fill port where you fill it up.
And we'll go out back and check that out.
(equipment rumbling)
Yeah, initially I had it, I had the larger tank
as the shower tank.
But I found that showering with cold water
got really irritating.
So I switched to the smaller tank 'cause it was
a lot easier to put hot water in the smaller tank
and I only ended up needing that much water.
I end up using this and the shower more
now they've been switched.
And I have much more storage space
because this entire tank came down here
instead of being where my clothes and stuff used to be.
