Welcome to NEETLab - A Free Online Coaching website for students.
We are just 1 week away from the NEET exam.
Many of you would have prepared well and doing your revision now but unfortunately there
are many students who did not get enough time to prepare for the examination.
Many students have asked me whether they can drop out this year and try next year because
they were concentrating on board exams through out this year.
This video is for those students who are thinking of dropping out of NEET 2018 exam.
Why be a dropper when there is possibility for you to become a doctor.
I recommend students to give their best try in this year NEET exam as there are many options
available to become doctor.
Watch this video till the end because I am going to share how you can become doctor at
government prescribed fees even if you get a low NEET score.
First of all, you need to understand that if you are good in biology, there is still
possibility that you can study MBBS under govt quota.
You may not get government quota in government medical colleges but you can get government
quota in private medical colleges or self-financing colleges.
Can you believe that students who scored just 275 in neet exam is studying at Annaporna
Medical College, Salem under BC category.
Eventhough Annaporna medical college is a private college, he is studying medicine at
government prescribed fees of 4 lakhs/annum.
You might have heard tuition fees coming close to one crore for mbbs. how did this candidate
got seat at low tuition fees.
It is because he got medical seat through state counselling under government quota.
Do you know that 50% of many private medical college seats are available under state government
quota.
These 50% medical seats are filled through State Counselling process.
The fees for these government seat in many self-financing college comes at Rs 4 lakhs
/ year.
That means the total tuition fees for MBBS course comes close to 20 lakhs / annum under
govt quota medical seats in private colleges.
For Most Back Class the neet cutoff is just 217 and for SC it is 178.
You can get NEET score of 280 by just answering 70 questions correctly in NEET exam.
If you are SC candidate, then you need to get only 55 questions correct out of the 180
questions.
You can get all these marks from biology subject alone.
Biology is the easiest subject to score marks in NEET.
Nearly 70% of the questions asked in biology are straight forward questions.
If you have memorized the subject well for your board exams, you could get close to 60
questions correct in biology alone.
If you get few questions correct in physics as well as chemistry, then no one can stop
you from becoming a doctor.
Now lets see how to use the next seven days to effectively study/revision for NEET exam
in detail.
On your first day, the first thing you need to do is to solve one previous year NEET question
paper.
By doing this, you would know how you need to study for NEET exam.
If you have already taken any previous neet questions paper, you can skip this step.
As you have studied 12th biology recently and all topics in 12th biology are easy, a
quick revision would be sufficient.
You need time to revise 11th biology.
One of the toughtest topic in 11th biology is plant and animal kingdom as it has too
many families and phylums.
You can leave that topic and study rest of 11th biology topics.
Spend half day to revise 12th biology and one and half day to revise 11th biology.
For Physics, pick 6 easy topics from 12th standard and 3 topics from 11th standard.
Topics which are easy to score in 12th physics are Atoms and Nuclei, Electronic Devices,
Current Electricity, Alternating current, Optics, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation.
For 11th physics, easy topics to score are gravitation, dimension and error analysis,
oscillations and waves.
Spend 1 and half day to study or revise these topics.
For Chemistry, Inorganic chemistry is the easiest to score, Physical chemistry is average
and organic chemistry is little tough.
So revise all topics of Inorganic and Physical Chemistry from 12th standard and pick 2 topics
from inorganic and physical chemistry each from 11th standard.
Spend one and half day to revise these topics in Chemistry.
Spend atleast one hour before going to sleep to summarise what you have learned that day
by looking at the notes prepared during that day.
Come up with 3 page summary.
This summary notes will be used for revision just before going for the NEET examination.
Spent one hour everyday early morning to revise the summary sheet and the revision notes prepared
the previous day.
If you do not have materials to revise, I am planning to publish video containing topicwise
NEET previous year solving videos by experts for all the above mentioned topics.
Please subscribe to this channel so that you will be notified when I publish that video.
To revise all three subjects, you would have taken 5 days.
Use the remaining 2 days to take mock tests and to solve previous year NEET question papers.
If you do this, you can easily get into self-financing private medical college under government quota.
What would you do, if you are qualified in NEET exam but did not get govt quota in self-financing
college?
Don't worry, there are private medical colleges which provide MBBS seats at the govt prescribed
fees.
If you do not know about these options, we can help you to become doctor at government
prescribed tuition fees of 4 lakhs/annum.
