Youtube daily report Nov 19 2018

Hello, my name is Ron Weich. I'm the Dean of the University of Baltimore School of

Law and I'm speaking to you today to encourage you to participate in

Giving Tuesday. What is Giving Tuesday? Well, it's a

nationwide initiative to encourage charitable donations and philanthropy

after Thanksgiving, after we've eaten all of the turkey and delicious sweet

potatoes that we're gonna eat on Monday. There's Cyber Monday, and lots of people

do their shopping online, but on Tuesday let's think about other people in our

community who need our assistance. And so, on November 27th this year, the Tuesday

after Thanksgiving, we're encouraging everybody to donate to the University of

Baltimore and you can designate the University of Baltimore School of Law as

your intended beneficiary. Now, why should you do that?

Well, I'm speaking to law school alumni and faculty and staff and students, and I

know that you have great loyalty to our fabulous law school. This year,

specifically, we intend to use the money that you donate on Giving Tuesday to the

law school for some very important and wonderful purposes. First of all, we're

gonna support UBSPI, the University of Baltimore's Public Interest auction.

We've been doing this for many years now. You understand this is an auction that's

going to take place in February to help students do public Interest fellowships

next summer, and your donation to the UBSPI fund will enable more students to do

public interest work. This is giving students a chance to learn the law by

being involved with nonprofit organizations throughout the city and

the region. The second function, the second activity that we want to support

this year, is our clinics. The law clinics -- nationally ranked UB law clinics -- which

include so many fabulous activities: the Immigration Law Clinic, Family Law, Low

Income Tax Clinic, the Innocence Project, Clinic, Juvenile Justice, and many, many

other worthwhile activities well beyond the salaries that the professors are

paid. We need funds to support the ancillary activities of the clinics:

translators to take depositions, to truly serve our clients in the way that they

need to be served. We want to have ample funds for that

purpose. So support the UB law clinics by donating to the law school. And finally

this year we're going to put money into our Rose McMunn Fund. Rose was a beloved

member of the staff who helped so many students while she was here, and when she

passed away a couple of years ago we created the fund to honor other staff

members who give of themselves to help students, and we award the Rose McMunn

Prize to a deserving staff member at the end of the year. So please support the UB

School of Law. Every time you do, we're gonna put a bow on Poe. Edgar Allan Poe,

who was not a lawyer or a law school graduate, but he is a statue in front of

our University and we put a bow on Poe for every gift. And of course if the law

school succeeds in getting the most gifts, we're gonna win this year's grand

prize and I'll be very proud of that. And you should be proud, too. Thanks so much

for all you do to support the UB School of Law throughout the year but

especially on Giving Tuesday, November 27th after Thanksgiving. Let's

dig deep to support our law school. Thanks very much.

How Super Mario 3D Land Saved The 3DS - Duration: 12:57.

The 3DS is 7 years old.

Just absorb that thought for a second.

Man, I remember when the first 3DS came out in 2011, I was just entering secondary school!

Now I'm in my second year of college and the thing is still alive and kicking!

Well…depending on whose perspective it's from.

Despite not reaching the extreme levels of sales its predecessor once had, over the past

7 years, the 3DS has still managed to develop what is arguably Nintendo's most impressive

handheld lineup.

From action games and platformers to RPGs and simulators, there was practically no genre

that evaded the 3DS' grasp.

Add to that a robust indie lineup, Virtual Console and social features and you have one

of Nintendo's best handheld systems to date.

And then, there was the 3D effect.

Remember when it was the 3DS's main selling point when it first came out?

Yeah, that was a thing that existed.

When the 3DS was first revealed in 2010, 3D technology was practically

the gimmick of the year.

Many companies tried to capitalize on the 3D hype train that Avatar set in motion during

the previous year by bringing in 3D televisions that are totally the next mainstream thing

because you can finally bring this immersive experience into your own living room!

Well, we all know how that turned out but back then Nintendo was also thinking of having

a slice of the three-dimensional pie.

But did you see those glasses?

They're clunky, uncomfortable and sooooo 2000s.

So the folks over at Nintendo devised a secret weapon: the parallax barrier.

I'm gonna spare you the technical babble but it was pretty much a layer on top of an

LCD that split the image into two, with one for each eye, allowing for a 3D display without

any special glasses.

Because basically, the screen IS the glasses!

I mean it's no hologram or anything, but it was a very convincing effect.

When the 3DS was first revealed as a handheld with glasses-free 3D graphics, people were

definitely intrigued!

If the 3DS was your first experience with glasses-free 3D, it was probably the most

mind-blowing thing ever.

I remember when I was in a game store seeing some guy getting his brand new 3DS set up

so I snuck in, took a look at the AR Games logo spinning on the Home Menu and just went

WHAAAAAAAAA

I got my first 3DS in July 2011 alongside Pilotwings Resort.

I still treasure it deeply, but man has it seen better days

I really need to get your Circle Pad replaced

what even is this.

I was completely fine with flying a plane, shooting faces and fighting virtual dragons

on my 3DS for nearly 4 months, but at that time, there wasn't really much content in

the 3DS's initial library.

I mean, let's take a look at the first-party games Nintendo chose to launch the 3DS with.

yeah that's it

I mean, sure, they're not bad games (Pilotwings especially), but as launch titles they weren't

exactly on the same level as the pick-up-and-play multiplayer appeal of Wii Sports or the grand

scope of Breath of the Wild.

They're more or less just small fun distractions/tech demos of the 3D technology of the 3DS because

that was the main selling point at the time.

Personally I'm fine with having smaller games like these as launch titles, but in

reality, it just didn't entice enough people people to buy a 3DS at launch.

Also, if you've tried some early 3DS games at some point,

the 3D effect was usually really uncomfortable.

Okay, a lot of people find the 3D uncomfortable but 3DS games in 2011 were especially guilty

because the 3D effect was often way too intense.

In Pilotwings, for example, the background extends far into the depths of the screen,

making it harder to focus on different objects.

And you had to keep your head stable while looking at the screen or you would get ghosting

in your images, causing further headaches.

Nowadays, the New 3DS models have head-tracking functions for the 3D effect which makes them

easier to view, but back in 2011, the 3D effect wasn't sitting well with a lot of people.

Anyway, back to the games.

Suffice to say, Nintendo's offerings were barebones, and even on the third-party side

of things, the most well-received game was a port of Super Street Fighter IV.

So, a mediocre launch lineup for a system that cost 250 US dollars at launch.

That will surely turn out just fine.

3DS sales plummeted after its first couple of weeks on the market, and not helping things

was Nintendo's two big releases in the next few months: 3D versions of Star Fox 64 and

The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time.

Fantastic N64 remasters, sure, but that's all they were, N64 games that most people

have probably played before.

And over on the eShop you had

OOH SNAP

URBAN CHAMPION IN 3D BABY

Oh and by the way does anyone remember Freakyforms?

Yeah that was a thing that existed.

Basically, for several months, people looked at the 3DS' price point and lineup and went

'Ehh, I'll wait and see if it's really worth it', which seemed to signify the start

of the well-known death spiral.

No customers due to a lack of games, no developer support due to a lack of customers, and no

games due to a lack of developers.

And late Nintendo president Satoru Iwata was NOT going to let that happen.

The 3DS still had potential, and he knew Nintendo had to crank out quality software FAST.

But first: BOOM.

A gigantic price cut from $250 to $170.

Don't worry early adopters, you guys get GBA games that will never be released on the

3DS ever again.

And then, at E3 that year, bang.

Just great original games one after the other.

Mario Kart 7.

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon.

Kid Icarus Uprising.

Paper Mario Sticker Star!

okay maybe not that one

But spearheading all of this fantastic software was Super Mario 3D Land, the key title that

would finally reverse the 3DS's fate.

At first glance it might seem kinda weird.

The last 3D Mario game at that point was Super Mario Galaxy 2, one of the most critically

acclaimed 3D Mario games to date.

Was it really wise to follow that masterpiece up with a watered-down, point-A-to-point-B

3D platformer?

Well turns out, less is more in this case.

Continuing Iwata's Blue Ocean strategy which attempted to capture casual non-gamers into

gaming, the development team of 3D Land focused on a single keyword when planning the game.

'Reset'.

Sure, you could just put Mario Galaxy on a 3DS and call it a day but Nintendo knew that

this would result in a clash against the 3DS' intended audience.

3D Mario games have gotten bigger and more complex over the years, but it has also become

somewhat overwhelming for casual players.

Say what you what about the New Super Mario Bros. series, but they always sell like hotcakes

because to the majority of players 2D Mario is the type of Mario game they're most familiar with.

For them, dipping their toes into a 3D Mario game after playing 2D games for so long would

probably feel something like--

"Huh, A DVD for beginners?

I know how a Mario game works, I don't need tha—

Woah wait what is this gravity thing oh god it feels so weird

He can spin enemies now?

Oh god how do you jump past these it's so hard

You can do a long jump by what?

Crouch and jump that's not a long jump what is this--

There's MOTION CONTROLS?!

Ah dangit stop falling off the edge all the time

Wait what are these bosses

How do you kill these bosses oh god help me what do I do what do I do what do I do"

So the development team decided to go back to basics and make a 3D Mario game that can

serve as an introduction for casual players to get accustomed to controlling Mario in

a 3D space.

As they said, if Galaxy 2 was like a luxurious imperial feast, then 3D Land is like a hamburger.

A lighter meal that you can just gobble down.

Almost every recognizable aspect of mainline Mario games is back in 3D Land.

Mario stomps on enemies, gets mushrooms and flowers from blocks, and grabs the flagpole

at the end of each level.

As Miyamoto says, it's a 3D Mario game that plays like a 2D Mario game.

Run and jump, get to the goal, simple as that.

No scouring big worlds fulfilling tons of mission objectives for collectibles.

At least for now.

The power-ups help ease the difficulty for new players as well, especially the Tanooki

Suit, with its floating ability making platforming a total breeze, and the Invincibility Leaf

and P-Wing which are pretty self-explanatory.

And if you're a more skilled player, you can utilize advanced moves like the Rolling

Long Jump or combining Wall Jumps with Flutter Kicks to get to hidden areas or blaze through levels.

And the post-game challenges with Cosmic Clones, speedrun challenges and what not?

Mmmm. 's good.

Look at it.

's good

In fact, with its level-based structure and densely packed stages, 3D Land is just a great

game to blast through and replay in general, which totally fits the 3DS' pick-up-and-play nature.

I played it so much that it's fun for me to just hop into a level and get into the

rhythm of where I should go and when.

Even its sequel, 3D World on the Wii U, didn't quite have the same feeling for me, as all

the levels are much more expansive to accommodate multiplayer, which makes playing them alone

feel…empty.

Overall, in terms of game design, Super Mario 3D Land pretty much has something for everyone,

being both accessible to casual players, as well as being fun and rewarding to fully complete

for the pros.

And you can still see this design philosophy in future games.

Even in Mario Odyssey where the collectathon structure returns, jumps are de-emphasized

in favor of throwing your cap on literally everything, and things like easy Power Moons

and Assist Mode are there to help new players get through the main game more easily.

And uh, yeah, I think I'm done here.

That's why 3D Land did so well on the 3DS.

What?

Oh right!

The 3D.

It was in the name of the game and I still forgot about it right.

Super Mario 3D Land is one of the very few 3DS games I know of that utilizes the 3D effect

to a genius degree by integrating it directly into the gameplay.

Nintendo acknowledged that judging distance in a 3D platformer is often a challenge to

some people even with a drop shadow as assistance, so using 3D ended up actually improving the

player experience, rather than being something that the player will turn on, say 'oh it

looks cool', then turn it off again.

But there are even more intricate design choices in the 3D effect beyond just making judging

distances easier.

Remember the issues I mentioned with an intense 3D effect in early 3DS games?

Nintendo was finally aware of those issues and talked about how they tried to make the

3D effect in 3D Land as natural as possible in a 2012 GDC talk.

And it all revolves around a concept known as the reference plane.

To put it simply, the reference plane is the level of 3D depth at the surface of the screen,

of which there would be barely any.

Nothing pops out, nothing pops in, and so images located on the reference plane tend

to be the clearest and mostly free of any ghosting effects from tilting the screen.

So, if most of what the player sees was placed right on the reference plane, they could avoid

extremely intense 3D effects.

The development team actually learned this from Miyamoto showing them gameplay of another title:

which was also in development at the same time.

Miyamoto played the prototypes of Mario Kart 7 and 3D Land and noticed Mario Kart 7 looked

less blurry.

That's because in that game, the player's kart was located on the reference plane, so

it wouldn't get blurry easily even with subtle movements of the player's head.

Also, there were other rules in place to avoid things like platforms or coins randomly popping

out of the screen and disorienting the player's vision.

The camera is usually fixed and cannot be freely rotated, so that other objects wouldn't

get in the camera's way.

The range of the 3D depth effect was also significantly shortened, so that it wouldn't

put as much of a strain on the player's eyes.

You can still see these design decisions in later 3DS games, and it goes to show that

implementing a comfortable use of 3D graphics goes beyond just enabling a 'turn on 3D' option.

Also, major bonus points to the 3D illusion bonus areas, they might be a tad too gimmicky

but they're still pretty awesome.

Anyway, that's what I felt were the ingredients that led to Super Mario 3D Land becoming the

definitive killer app for the 3DS: a casual-friendly approach to 3D Mario with a fantastic implementation

of the 3DS' gimmick.

Nintendo advertised the heck out of the game, placing a huge playground with demo stations

right in the middle of Times Square, even giving out mushroom pizzas and selling the

game early exclusively at the event.

This nostalgia bomb certainly worked as 3D Land became the fastest selling portable Mario

game up to that point after it launched.

And of course, games like Mario Kart, Pokémon and many more continued to push the 3DS towards

old and new players alike, cementing the 3DS as a platform not only defined by its gimmick,

but also its diverse library of games.

So even if you mostly played your 3DS games with the 3D graphics off because they're

uncomfortable or whatever, I think it's good to take some time and appreciate the

work Nintendo put into designing some of their games to take full advantage of 3D, and how

they've refined it over the 3DS' life, practically averting its fate in the process.

While 3D is no longer the primary focus of the 3DS as seen with the slowly dropping support

for it, I still think that the feature has some merit to it, and games like Super Mario

3D Land just go to show that designing specifically for 3D graphics can make them a bit more

than just pretty eye candy.

Wow, this video is finally done.

If you didn't realize, this video was stuck in limbo for like 9 months, so uh,

I'm glad that it's done, thank you for watching,

and especially to my Patreon supporters that you can see on-screen right now.

And as for me, I'm just gonna...leave.

How to Fix Your Car for Pennies - Duration: 5:51.

rev up your engines, today I'm gonna show you how to deal with some of the plastic

stuff on your car now, for years all these plastic clips that hold your car

together, would drive me nuts, cars didn't used to be that way, as you can see here

on my old Celica, things are held together with nuts and bolts, not stupid

little plastic clips, look at nuts and bolts, tried and true, they screw on they

screw off, they last virtually forever and they're really strong, but as far as

the modern manufacturers are concerned, they have a big drawback they cost too

much money to make out of steel and then machine, plastic stuff is so much cheaper

to make and they've been using plastic for a long time, take the 17 year old

Lexus, plastic clips are everywhere, holding different pieces together even

the fender has plastic clips inside, when you take the door apart there's plastic

clips inside it, all inside here to snap it on so it doesn't rattle, open the

trunk, the trunk is full of plastic clips to hold everything if you have to take

the bulbs out to change bulbs, the liner's full of plastic clips and guess what

happens when you take old plastic clips off, they generally break, no matter what

tools you have to take them off when they're old the plastic gets brittle and

it snaps, so you can be as careful as you want with one of these tools, odds are

the stuff is gonna break and really that used to infuriate me, I'm working

on a customer's car I got to take off the plastic parts like on the

undercarriage if I'm changing the oil or replacing the starter, it's bad enough

you got to take all that garbage off and then take the plastic shields off to

work on the car, but then when you putting it back together, most of them

are broken and you're like, oh if they only were to use nuts and bolts, but now

thanks to the help of the Chinese, you can forget all that, no more going to the

auto parts store, trying to find the right fasteners, and then finding that a

box of six costs eight dollars, you don't know

if they're the right size, it's a gigantic pain,

but when you check out the Chinese stuff there's 730 pieces in this box and it's

like $14, so not only do you get tons of them, but they cost like 1/500th of what

it does at the auto parts store, check out my

phone when I scanned one of the things they gave me one of those little

scanners, and in this case you get a hundred pieces of the single one for

$3.99, god nows how they make them that cheap in

China, ship them to the United States and if you're a member of Amazon Prime like me,

the shipping is free to your house for $3.99

you get hundreds of these things, you'll never run out, now in the olden days, my day, my

grandfather's days, we had buckets of bolts, we'd collect them just in case you

needed a particular size one and we had them sitting around for years, a lot of

times they get rusty they stick together and you gotta clean them up, but you can

always clean them with a little wire brush, so here maybe the plastic is

better, plastic never rusts and instead of having messy little coolant

containers for nuts and bolts and old paint cans, you get these nice plastic

containers and you can store them somewhere and they're all organized by

size, hey my wife would get a laugh out of that one, she's always saying, you're

so organized, well I just say, my environment may be messy but my mind is

clean, and judging by the state of my garage with things all over the place

Hey she's probably half right, not still a good idea to have tools to try to take

the plastic fasteners off without breaking them and a lot of these kits

hey they even come with these tools, but the next time you break one of these

fasteners off, you don't have to start swearing at the people who designed them

you've got boxes full of things, you just won't even care, and isn't that the point

of life, kind of go with the flow, I mean for years I'm cursing and swearing at

these idiots that designed these things with all this plastic, well if you can

get these plastic fasteners as cheap as this, hey who cares if the stupid things

break, break them off when you're working on a car and snap in new ones, when they only

cost less than a penny apiece who cares, now of course you still have to order

things beforehand, you're not gonna find these in any local stores, at least I never

have, but the big advantage is they come with little diagrams, not only showing

you which are which, but gives the exact measurements, so once you know which one

you need, you can just go into the little box pull it out and snap it in, they even

tell you what model cars are for, so plan ahead buy a box for your car, boy you'll

thank Scotty and you'll stop swearing like I do when you're working on all

that plastic junk on your car, as it snaps off when you try taking it apart

and since this is a mechanic's Monday I'm giving away a bunch of these stupid

little plastic snaps, to have a chance to win, just place a clean non offensive

comment on the YouTube comments below, and the winner will be chosen randomly by

computer to get plastic fasteners, so you never have to swear at the use of cheap

plastic parts again, so if you never want to miss another one of my new car repair

videos, remember to ring that Bell!

Zwiedzamy Skocznie w Klingenthal! - Duration: 6:08.

As promised, I have the third episode

of the visiting Ski Jumping hills series for you

In total, this is the eleventh episode of this series

After the hills at Hinterzarten and Einsiedeln, it is time

for another object associated mainly with the Summer Grand Prix

Today we will visit the ski jumping hills located in Klingenthal

Hardly anyone realizes that there are three ski jumping hills in this city

However, they are separate complexes and are nearly 10 kilometers apart

At the beginning our destination are of course, the hill

with dimensions of K125 and HS140, where for many years

the final of the summer jumping cycle has taken place

As it turned out, I had a lot of luck coming to that place just that day

because on the hill the Slovenian B representation

which includes among others, Nejc Dezman, Tomaz Naglić,

Ernest Prislic, Jaka Hvala, Jurij Tepes, and also

the 2012 World Ski Jumping Champion Robert Kranjec was training

After the training, I even managed to take a picture with him

Earlier, while the training was still in progress

the aforementioned Robert Kranjec jumped a distance

of about 147 meters, which would be a new hill record

if the jump was given in official competition

You can see this jump right now

You can get to top of Vogtland Arena with a very characteristic train

from which you can observe the ski jumping hill very closely

Unfortunately, just when I was entering the mountain

the jumpers had a short break because of

the need to rehydrate the plastic mattings

The modern structure supporting the inrun

makes a really big impression, just like the whole object

Of all the ski jumping hills I have visited so far

this definitely seemed the most modern and neat

You can take the elevator to get to the top of the in-run

and watch the Slovenians jump from an unusual perspective

You could also enter the room, where during competitions

ski jumpers are waiting for their turn

From that place watching jumps really makes a huge impression

As usual, at this point let's take a look at the history

of the Vogtland Arena in Klingenthal

Just like the ski jumping hills at Einsiedeln, which we visited two days ago

in 2003, building of a large hill in Klingenthal began

while completion of building took place over two years later

Since 2006, except for 2015, the final of the Summer Grand Prix

took place here every year

In the years 2007-2016, with a break only in 2008

there were World Cup competitions

In 2009-2013 there were also competitions

as part of the team tournament FIS Team Tour

while in the years 2013-2015 on this object the World Cup cycle was inaugurated

Since the 2017/18 season, the Klingenthal place

in the World Cup schedule was taken by another

German ski jumping hill, located in Titisee-Neustadt

The official winter recordist of the object is

Michael Uhrmann thanks to his 146.5 meters long jump in 2011

Better than him was Philip Sjoen, who jumped 148 meters in 2014

but his jump ended with a fall and Marius Lindvik, who

during training before the Continental Cup

competition in 2018 jumped 149.5 meters

A summer record of the object belongs to three ski jumpers

In 2007, Gregor Schlierenzauer jumped 143.5 meters here

The jump on exactly the same distance during the

Summer Grand Prix was given by Kamil Stoch

and Maciej Kot, respectively in 2010 and 2016

Further than them jumped, among others, Vegard Haukø Sklett

who during the training for the Summer Continental Cup

jumped 147 meters and Robert Kranjec who jumped 147

during my visit at the ski jump hill

Let's talk again about our sightseeing around the

ski jump hill, it was easy to go to the very threshold

of the ski jump, which is 3 meters and 25 centimeters high

From that place, I recorded, among other things

the Robert Kranjec's take-off in slow motion

which gives us a really interesting effect

This is where our visit on the K125 ski jump ended

but according to what I said at the beginning of the video

there is another Vogtlandschanzen ski jumping complex in Klingenthal

The complex consists of two objects K65 and K85

The history of this complex is much longer than the K125

They were builded in 1933 and have been modernized many times since then

The last renovation took place here in 2013

During my visit around the hills, training of young German

jumpers and female jumpers was taking place there

The jumps are built in a very characteristic way

Two separate run-ups lead to one, common landing

A similar solution is used on the Czech hills in Liberec

An interesting fact is also the T-bar lift, which is

extremely rare on ski jumping hills

Personally, I met this type of lift on the ski jumping hill for the first time in my life

This is where our visit ended

As I mentioned in the last episode of the series

we will see next ski jumping hills next month

Finally, I would like to invite you to visit the

official Skijumping TV store for fans of ski jumping

In the store you can find, among other things, sweatshirts

with printed ski jumping hills, which I have visited so far

Today, of course, the sweatshirt with the print

of the hill in Klingenthal comes to this collection

A link to the store can be found in the description

In the meantime, thank you for watching my video

and I invite you to watch the previous ones

Don't forget to leave a like and please subscribe

to my channel if you are not already doing so

Stay tuned for more videos, bye!

Yoga Poses That Help You Slim Down Fast|HFE♪ - Duration: 10:31.

Yoga Poses That Help You Slim Down Fast

As we continue, we will reveal to you which yoga poses will help you lose that extra weight and that feeling of heaviness   Many people want to know which yoga poses are the best for weight loss once they begin to practice this discipline.

This is because the figure that can be achieved through yoga poses is one of the main things that attract people to participate in it.

When a person is in the lotus position, they are doing more than just meditating and quieting their mind. There is a physical benefit: a more slender, flexible, toned body and, as a result, a healthy body.

It should be noted that, to start practicing yoga you don't have to have a certain body type, or be very skinny. Every kind of person is invited to practice it and everyone is able to exercise their body to improve their health.

How weight loss is achieved through yoga As time goes on and the person makes it a habit to practice yoga many times a week, the body becomes accustomed to the activity. The immediate benefits are: Increases blood circulation Increases energy and vitality Improves sleep quality Psycho-emotional health Stress elimination Improves mood Alleviates tension Relaxation Now, how is weight loss achieved through yoga? Very simple.

Through the muscular exertion that takes place in certain asanas or postures.

When you put a yoga pose into practice, the body positions itself in a certain way and stays there for a short period of time (from seconds to minutes).

By holding this position, the body stays in a tensed position in which the muscles contract.  In other words, the yoga poses for weight loss are almost all of the positions in this discipline.

However, the repetition of some of them can help us to burn a greater amount of fat.

To a greater or lesser extent, the maintenance of this position, for a certain period of time, helps to burn fat, activate the muscles and tone certain areas of the body.

Of course, it all depends on the intensity with which you are doing the exercises.

In this sense, yoga instructors usually increase, little by little, both the complexity and the duration of the poses.

By doing this, the body has the opportunity to become accustomed to the the force and to develop resistance.

Weight loss will be experienced progressively.

It should be noted that this loss may occur immediately (or not) depending on one's personal diet. Yoga, by itself, cannot guarantee weight loss if it is not accompanied by a healthy lifestyle.

The best yoga postures to help you slim down If you don't want to, or you don't have the time, to go to a yoga class, don't worry.

You can do the exercises at home.

You only need 30 minutes a day (and a little tranquility and space).

Remember: what counts is the quality of the exercise, not the space.

The main yoga postures for weight loss are the following: 1.

Cobra position This is one of the most efficient yoga poses for weight loss since it works many different muscles at the same time.

The cobra posture is very easy to carry out. You just have to put yourself face down on a yoga mat and put the palms of your hands next to your shoulders.

Straighten your arms to lift your torso off of the floor.

Face your head forwards.

You can keep your eyes open, focused on a fixed point, or close them. Breathe deeply a few times.

It is important to keep your back straight.

Warrior pose This asana is practiced standing and strengthens your extremities. Put one of your feet forwards and the other behind you.

Bend your front knee slightly.

Support the toes of your back foot.

Elevate your arms over your head and join your palms. Keep your back straight.  3.

Fish pose Fish pose is a yoga basic.

It helps a lot when we have very hunched shoulders (from spending hours in front of the computer) or with neck pain.

Sit on the floor with your legs straight and together.

Put the palms of your hands at your sides (next to your thighs).

Bring your torso forwards 9accompanied by your head) until your elbows touch the floor.

Your back will be a little curved.

Stay in this position a few seconds and slowly return to the initial position so that you do not get dizzy.

Candle pose This one might be a little more complicated but, similar to the fish pose, you will be able to do it.

With this position, you will increase blood flow to the brain, strengthen your legs and you will work your abdominals.

Lay down on your back with your legs together and your arms at your sides.

Lift your legs so that they are perpendicular to the floor.

Bring your legs as far back as possible (the idea is to have your toes touch the floor by going over your head).

Stay in this position for a few seconds. Breathe deeply and slowly return to the initial position.

Tree pose With this asana, you will tone your abs and promote balance.

Stand up with your back straight.

Lift your left foot and support it with your right knee.

Raise your arms over your head and join your palms together.

Hold this position for a few seconds.

Growing position The growing pose helps to improve metabolism and strengthens the muscles in your back and chest.

To do it, you have to lay on your stomach.

Then, put your hands at your sides.

Take your feet in your hands and lift your head up.

Hold this position for a minute or two and then slowly return to the initial position.

I got tired of fighting myself - Duration: 3:49.

- My name is Daniel,

I was in the United States Army,

and I was in there from '96 to 2000.

I was in the airborne infantry with the 82nd Airborne.

Pretty prestige, hardcore, badass job.

Two years into the military,

I came home 'cause of, um...

a best friend had taken his own life.

Six years later,

I buried my brother-in-law for the same thing

through PTSD and mixing alcohol with his medication.

That was, like, an eye-opener for me

because I was doing that same thing.

I was--I was taking meds that were being prescribed,

and I was mixing 'em

with anything and everything I could get my hands on.

Kind of snowballed everything.

It affected my wife, affected my marriage,

affected my relationship with my children.

I had gotten a DUI,

um, with my eight-month-old child in the car.

It led to...

you know, my wife kicking me out multiple times.

I chose sleeping in a VA parking lot,

or, you know, the VA park bench,

then sleeping at home in my bed with my wife and kids.

My two teenage sons

were looking into changing their last name,

is--is how much harm I'd caused.

I was building my hole deeper

and digging it deeper and deeper.

I got tired of being--

I got tired of fighting myself.

I got tired of wondering why.

I got tired of waking up sick to my stomach.

I got tired of stealing from my kids.

I got tired of stealing from my wife.

So I just did not know how-- the first step to take

on how to stop drinking,

to stop harming everybody else around me,

to stop harming the family.

And I found an anger management program

through the VA.

And there's where I met a doctor

and he got me involved with the ABC program,

the Alc-- Addictive Behaviors Clinic

through the Sepulveda VA,

and I put my whole self into it

and, um, it's just been a whole--

I've started a whole different life this past two years.

We went through a kind of marital counseling

where they brought her-- where the doctors--

like, doctor would bring her in and sit with us,

and I was able to kind of tell her,

really for the first time, what was going on.

What was-- why I was upset or angry

or why, uh-- why I acted the way I did

or said the things I did.

I'm very lucky...

uh, that my wife has stayed-- stayed behind me.

I want to give back to her now

for her carrying me for all those times.

It's something I'm excited to do now.

To be a husband, to be a father,

February 2 was my two year sober anniversary,

and my son wanted a picture with me,

just me and him and the cake,

and he put it on all of his social media posts.

That's how, you know-- that's how proud he was of me.

Now we have a six-year-old

who will never experience that side of his father.

You know, I get joy out of

going to drop him off at kindergarten

or small joys out of my son telling me something funny

that happened at school today.

When they come up to me

and just put their arm around me for no reason and

say "I love you, Dad" for no reason,

it's just a total blessing to be a part of their lives now.

I've gotten people coming to me and telling me

that they were seeking their own help now

because they saw that if I could do it,

then they could-- definitely they could do it.

I Am No Small Creator - Duration: 2:16.

what's going on guys no small creative movement was started on YouTube by Cody

Wanner and it's something that means a lot to me and here's why and it's

brought a bunch of new creators together to be able to give each other the amount

of support and confidence that we need to keep going why I love the mindset of

this movement is because when I was first starting out at least for me it

was hard to envision that I could do the type of work that represented myself in

a way that the big youtubers were doing it was something that I was new at

something that I was learning as I was going and I'm still learning but what's

great about the no small creative movement is that it's this community

where people are pushing you constantly and supporting you to be able to say

look everybody starts somewhere but you have to start and you have to keep going

and to be able to have a community of like-minded people that are going

through the same thing and seeing successes as they're creating and being

able to represent themselves it's just an awesome thing ultimately for me being

a creator is about me finding a way to document and celebrate the special

moments and people in my life in hopes that being able to do that will give my

life more meaning on a day to day basis over the past six months I've grown a

ton and a lot of it's been the consistency have gone through these

routines and publishing these videos but it's also been all the things that I've

learned from the community and from others as well as the motivation and the

encouragement that other people provide and when you're trying to do something

new in your life it's critical to have that type of

support system both with your family and communities that you're part of and

that's what makes it no small creative community special to me is that there's

so many people out there that are doing it and supporting each other and it just

makes it better for everybody so I'd like to thank Cody for starting it and

continuing to lead the charge as well as James Mathis for this idea to create

Why Hollywood Won't Cast Alyson Hannigan Anymore - Duration: 4:20.

After How I Met Your Mother went off the air in 2014, Alyson Hannigan seemed to drop off

the face of the Earth, or, at least, our television screens.

So what exactly happened to the star?

While many people were introduced to Alyson Hannigan as American Pie's Michelle, A.K.A.

"Band Camp Girl", she's pretty well known for being a main cast member in two super

popular television shows, Buffy The Vampire Slayer and How I Met Your Mother.

In Buffy, she played the role of Willow Rosenberg, a shy teenage computer geek who grows to become

a confident witch with extraordinary powers.

In How I Met Your Mother, she played Lily Aldrin, an artistic teacher whose relationship

with Marshall Eriksen provides a foil for the perpetually looking-for-love Ted Mosby.

"That's it!

This is Thanksgiving.

Solve this, right now!

And if you have sex again, neither of you gets dessert!"

She was in the spotlight as part of two highly prominent television shows, so it may be hard

to re-sell Hannigan to moviegoers as a movie star rather than as someone who shines best

on TV.

Developed for CBS by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon as a star vehicle for comedian Tom Papa,

More Time with Family got a ton of buzz in early 2014 just as How I Met Your Mother was

wrapping up.

The show was even shot on the old How I Met Your Mother stage, except in front of a live

studio audience.

Ultimately, the network passed on the show, which had to be a pretty massive disappointment

to Hannigan, and to her fans.

Two years later, though, another project started being widely promoted as Hannigan's "first

major role after How I Met Your Mother:" TV Land's adaptation of the popular '90s film

First Wives Club.

This version cast Hannigan alongside Smash star Megan Hilty and Vanessa Lachey, who is

famous for, let's be honest, marrying Jessica Simpson's ex.

Sadly, history repeated itself and TV Land passed on the show, instead moving forward

with an adaptation of Heathers.

This effectively left Hannigan with two small one-off parts on TV shows and a single, forgettable

indie film as her only credits since 2014.

Why spend all that time learning lines and going on auditions when you can make a killing

with real estate?

Hollywood is notoriously fickle, but property is almost always a solid investment, as evidenced

by Hannigan's growing portfolio, which made headlines in December of 2016 after she and

her husband, Alexis Denisof, picked up a new home worth nearly $8 million.

The couple's L.A. pad, whose distinctive architecture was featured in the Anthony Hopkins/Ryan Gosling

movie Fracture, is just part of a list of properties that includes a home in Atlanta

and a rental property in Santa Monica.

Nothing against any of her best-known characters, but it sounds like Hannigan may have found

the role of a lifetime.

Although Alyson Hannigan experienced something of a slowdown on the acting front since her

nine-year run on How I Met Your Mother, she's also had a lot more luck in the TV competition

series department.

In 2016, she was announced as the incoming host for the CW's magician reality show Penn

& Teller: Fool Us, aiding as the title magicians welcome their budding peers to try and trick

them to earn a spot on their live shows.

"Penn and Teller have already been fooled once.

Let's see if this next magician can do it a second time."

For Hannigan, the gig was a good match for her lifestyle; as she said in a statement:

"I am so excited to be hosting a program our whole family can watch together."

As a bonus, she's also gotten to watch her two daughters learn their first magic tricks

from the pros.

The show, which films in Las Vegas, has featured Hannigan as its host since its third season,

and it doesn't show signs of stopping anytime soon; the network renewed the series for a

sixth season in 2018.

The show is far from over for Alyson Hannigan.

Although her post-How I Met Your Mother return to TV may not have panned out the way her

fans had hoped, she hasn't given up on the small screen yet.

In 2018, she was cast in a recurring role for WGN America's second season of Pure, a

Mennonite crime drama in which she'll portray a woman helping her significant other launder

money for a drug cartel.

The role is a far cry from her usual image, so it should allow her to show her audience

a new side.

Hannigan also landed a leading role in the Twitter thread-inspired comedy-horror feature

You Might Be the Killer, based on a viral fictional story about a camp counselor who

may or may not have become a mass murderer.

She was also cast as surgeon-slash-mother Dr. Ann Possible in the Disney Channel's live-action

adaptation of Kim Possible, which means she'll have another family-friendly film that she

can screen with her own children.

While her workload might have slowed down a bit from the old days of dominating TV,

she's still keeping herself quite busy.

"I'm not going anywhere."

Good morning

oh the sun is so bright it's so beautiful after yesterday's rain and

welcome to Romania.

Now first job of the day is to pick a restaurant for my

breakfast and there is so many to choose from I'm in the center square it is

lined all around with places to eat

now which one?

And today we are exploring the beautiful town of Sibiu.

Iit's just over the

mountains which we crossed yesterday

which was fantastic

and is a... I was gonna call

it sleepy, small town, medieval town

absolutely beautiful walking across the

main plaza at the moment

one of the features that you notice here is on the

building's you've got these eyes that are watching you wherever you go to

they're always watching you here

it's actually the little windows in the roof but it

they look like eyes

and it's beautiful I would show you inside the

church but at the moment it's being renovated so instead we're gonna have

a wander round and look at the few of the things around this beautiful and

friendly town in the middle of Romania

and I've been blessed with the sunshine

again after a rainy rainy day yesterday

we've still got some clouds around but

we've got a bit of sun so let's make the most of it and show you around

Now here we are in the main plaza in the town surrounded by old buildings coffee

shops restaurants cafes

again it's another one of these cultures where you

could spend all day sitting at a street cafe enjoying life as it goes by

It's a hot day, mid afternoon,

so you know what that means

not to get run over

but it's time to try

a Romanian ice-cream now after all the delicious ice creams of Italy it's gonna

be a tough act to follow but I'm gonna give it my best so let us try out a

Romanian ice cream or Gelato. Now got a choice

this one here

and then

there's another one here

that has lots of delicious flavors as well

and then

there's another one down there

oh, decisions, decisions

There we go and you know what problem we've got again now don't you ice cream

camera and how to control them all, oh no

I got ice cream all over the camera to.

oh

Do I have anything under control?

Absolutely not.

Do I care? Absolutely not.

How is the ice cream?

Caramel

Well I've got to admit it is good.

As good as the Italian gelato? Well Ihave to say that

does take some beating.

I'm not complaining, I'm gonna enjoy it

Do you want some? Have a lick.

I really should look where l am going. Where am I going?

Oh well, I'm just gonna concentrate on eating my ice-cream for a little bit

enjoying that.

you guys well, you

can have a look around while I do that

Here, here's your ice cream

Now standing

between the big square and the small square

is the imposing Council Tower now

this was built in the 13th century and has been used for so many things through

the years, it's been a storehouse a fire watch tower a prison and even a botany

museum. It's now a great place to get really nice views out over Sibiu. So do

the climb up it's open for most of the day and gives

really great views in all four directions you can see the mechanics of

the bell tower on the way up which is really great and there's really good

explanations of each view and what you can see from each view out of each

window at the top.

So let's go to the top and admire the view.

Impractical Jokers: Inside Jokes - A Vambommled Experience | truTV - Duration: 1:19.

It's a hot one today, right? It's insane.

There you go. It's hot out.

It's hot, I can't do it. I can't do it.

-Joe! -I can't do it. It's hot out.

-I mean, if he's doing it. -...if you want to.

Maybe dip in the water out today.

95 degrees, I'd do it.

I feel like I've wandered into the wrong set.

Okay, Sal. Your word... "vambommled."

I could probably take the train by Coney Island.

I was supposed to go with my roommate,

but everything got vambommled.

Vambommled?

but everything got vambommled.

Vambommled?

Yeah.

It's, uh, when you, uh...

when you can't unsee a family member's genitals.

-Oh, okay. -What?

You ever see a family member's...

[ Laughter ]

You ever see a family member's genitalia?

One time. You can't unsee that. So, what do you call it?

You know what, I unsaw it. I blocked it out.

[ Laughter ]

Sal, I'm getting pretty close to being vambuzzled back here.

-Look at this. -No.

So you sure you never heard of it?

Positive.

-Ohhh! -Oh!

-Nice try, buddy. -No success.

How To Make 10,000 A Month With [ Estate Sales SEO Clients ] Make 10,000 A Month Online EASILY! - Duration: 7:33.

all right. and we are back! we are back! so this is how to make $10,000 a month

with a state sales SEO GUYS. all right so this one is gonna be a very important one

because there's low competition and is literally easy to rank for but the

client will get a huge return source in for all of you that don't know what the

state sales is let's say a celebrity is going bankrupt or something like that

are they going to jail they'll sell all their assets including their home or

pieces of our own their cars whatever's at their house whatever

all right so whatever the total of money is the state sales agent they help them

put together the sale will give a certain percentage of it maybe 35 to 40%

of its own is a million bucks you do the math or it is four million dollars you

do the math so state sales agents can make a crapload of money with this all

right so what you need to consider whether or not is searches for this are

people actually having these estate sales and whether or not you can rank

for it that's what you need to know all right so let me tell you they will cough

up the money berries if you can prove that you can get them results so most

estate sales companies charge you a percentage of the sales grow profits for

instance they might charge you thirty five percent if the state sales gross is

ten grand that means you owe them 35 honey all right so this is on the low

this is on the gun on the low depending on what state of your town it is or

whatever like Los Angeles or something like that is gonna be way way way higher

New York way higher or something like that all right so now that we know that

they can make a crapload of money cause remember when you're trying to become a

good SEO salesperson you want to consider what are they gonna get out of

it before you can think about pitching them if you can think about what they're

gonna get out of it then you can make the Unruh fusible offer their refusal I

always get them mixed up Eirik use longer fusible anyway so let's go see if

our people are actually searching for this what's eating

whatever where you can work in your story so state sales in palmdale 40

searches per month in a small town you can dominate as you can see is not that

much the competition isn't that isn't that good you see what I'm saying the

only reason why this one is ranking is because it has the state sales in the

title and it has more reviews than everybody else you can overthrow them

very easily all right so what do you do so you contact them you tell them look

it's 40 searches per month roughly around here I know that you guys get

like 35% of the state sales I've done the the value the home the property the

average property value in Palmdale so I know the houses are worth a lot blah

blah blah blah so somebody doing a state sale here you might want to do your

research so you can talk a little bit more educated to them and stuff but then

you just basically say look this is a keyword tool that shows how many

searches per month there's 40 searches per month if I can get you right here at

least in one of these spots you'll split their 40 searches per month split it

down the middle so let's say you'll probably get 10 to 15 calls per month

boom so if you close at least one or two out of that they're still worth what

you'll be paying me you see what I'm saying

so it's very simple this is how you can make a ten thousand dollars a month you

just tell them to give me ten grand and you'll put them right here I know how

much you make on the deal sir I put you right here and you'll get all the deals

on the city and even better if you have multiple addresses that we can wrap our

business listeners I'll get you all thready spots then you get all 40 of

these calls boom boom all right so this is how you can do it all right so what

I'm gonna do is give you guys a little bit of help a lot of you guys are new

some of you never had a client before some of you guys have their clients

before and lost them don't know how to keep your retention up some of you get

clients that don't want to pay you that much I have experience in that too also

but now getting current clients is pay me $10,000 a month five

115 sometimes all right but I try to go as high as I can and that's what you

need to do so what I want you to do is this I'm going to give you the entire

SEO agency set up at no cost why why no cost wasn't it for you Dave you just

said something has been it for a person well what's in it for me is more

testimonials I'm coming out with new services new classes in my school I

actually have a school after job trade school if you google real estate school

or real estate classes and st. Louis we're in a snack pack ever job if you

Google San bernandino community colleges I'm in the snack pack for colleges I

know how to position myself as an authority this is why people will pay me

$5,000 a year for tuition because they're used to paying $100,000 a year

for tuition you see what I'm saying so I'm not here to baby you and beg you to

enroll in my school if you want to do that because I'm giving you a crapload

of value then get your credit card stop being a baby or get some kind of payday

loan and get in there so you can be an expert and grow within the next couple

of weeks but if not I'm still gonna help you I'm still gonna help you because I

need testimonials right so what's gonna happen is this check this out you go to

the link in the description and your friend David is going to give you the

entire SEO agency set up I'm going to give you the SEO agency website template

meaning if you don't know how to build websites whatever I set you up with how

to get your own free SEO agency website template so you can immediately start

off looking professional when you're doing your prospecting I'm going to show

you how to get the SEO client meetings on autopilot using paid traffic or free

traffic giving you the ad copy they're targeting the templates all of that

Facebook Google all of that I'm gonna give you a free email Auto responder and

it will have unlimited email sending capacities unlimited list sequences and

everything I'm going to give you the email script to pinch scripts I'm going

to give you all of that and last but not least best of all I'm gonna give you the

exact funnel I used to sign over 37 new SEO clients in less than five weeks

is a world freakin record in our industry so now you know David is real

David shows you David gives you value I don't need your money upfront or any of

that I'm pretty sure after I make you a rich man or woman

you'll spend money with me one day because it won't be too big of a deal

for you all right all right you definitely want to get in the school

after you get a few clients whatever so my thing is you should definitely go on

the link in the description to get all of this stuff for free there's no video

you're gonna see there's gonna give you all of this for free so you might as

well get started link is in the description I'll see you guys and

hopefully I'm doing a review or a testimonial with you guys by next week

you should have your first or third frickin client by the end of next week

if you get in you can put the work in like I said free and the link in the

description go ahead

Captain #60seconds - Less talk and more sports games with friends - Duration: 0:56.

Do you like to play football but can't organize a game with your friends?

I have a solution for you.

Hi! My name is Manuel and am here to talk about Captain.

Captain is an app developed in Portugal to join groups of friends to make sports.

This is a need that I had because I had several groups of friends with whom I practice sports.

Play football, ride a bike.

And agree on all details for the games to happen was very complicated.

My friends would use email, WhatsApp and there was always a lot of noise.

There are always those friends that starts talking about other subjects that are not relevant for the event to happen.

And too many times, instead of doing sports, we would stay at home on the sofa.

Sports are very important for people to exercise but also to create stronger bonds and friendships.

We can always gather for a coffee, but playing a sport together is a different experience.

Please go to captain.pt and try our APP.

3 Truths About C-Section Moms - Duration: 4:52.

3 Truths About C-Section Moms

As a birth photographer, I'm asked to capture some of the most important stories of a family's life. I step into their birthing space and document the small and big moments that unfold.

I tell the story of their son and daughter's entrance into the world. The struggles, the fears, the pain, the joy. These stories are beautiful stories.

But in the birth world, I see a certain type of birth held up as ideal, and in my work I capture many that would fit the standard.

The fictional "first place trophy of childbirth" always seems to go to the un-medicated, vaginal births where mom and partner are active and unhindered by doctors or nurses.

Just last night, I read an amazing birth story where mom, unintentionally, gave birth at home in her bathtub. Her husband caught the baby because no one else was there.

They sat at home on their couch and soaked in all the newborn goodness. It was a great birth story…and I'm sure it will get passed around again and again.

Many of you probably read about the amazing footling breech birth I photographed in February.

Mom was being prepped for an emergency C-section when she felt such a strong urge to push that her daughter came out, feet first, while she was on the operating table.

Again, another amazing birth story that inspired countless women to hold onto their birthing goals.

But lately, I've been thinking about the unsung birth heroes. I've been thinking about the birth stories that don't necessarily receive all the thumbs up and high fives and Facebook shares.

I'm thinking about the cesarean section stories and the brave women who birth their children with such strength and beauty. I want to take a step back and celebrate these three truths about C-section mamas.

C-Section mamas are brave. Being prepped for a C-section is not a walk through the park.

Many times, a mother's partner is not allowed in the OR until after the epidural has been administered and everyone has "taken their place." This means that while doctors and nurses move about, readying the operating room for delivery (maybe talking about their lunch or what movie they saw over the weekend), a strong pregnant mama sits on a cold operating table considering what lies before her – often scared and often feeling very alone.

And in these moments, a C-section mama must hold onto the strong and fierce love she has for her baby. She lets fear wash over her…and then she lets it drift away.

She know that in this moment, this is what is best for her child, even though "what's best" means a major surgery with real wounds and scars.

Even though "what's best" means letting go of a dream or a vision of birth that she's been building up for the last nine months.

If you haven't had a C-section before, I encourage you to let the stark reality of this moment settle in your mind — put yourself in her place, on that table, waiting, possibly fearful…When you do, I think you'll quickly realize how brave C-section mamas are.

C-Section mamas are strong. There aren't many mothers who will say that a C-section was what they had first envisioned when they thought about giving birth.

A C-section is a medical necessity in the best of situations; in the worst cases, it can be due to the outdated practices of a doctor or his/her desire for convenience.

Some C-section mamas have weeks to mentally prepare for a change in their plans, but many only have days, hours, or minutes. Suddenly, everything she envisioned when meeting her child has changed.

Her birth plan has been thrown out the window. Surgery lies before her. She doesn't know how long she'll have to wait after birth before she holds her baby in her arms.

We humans don't tend to do well in situations of sudden change.

And yet C-section mamas find a way to let go of their pride and connect with an inner strength that allows them to enter the OR and give birth to their child.

And then the actual surgery happens. The actual cutting and suturing.

Full recovery often takes months. And while most of us would like to curl up with a bowl of ice cream and a stack of movies after a major surgery, C-section mamas do just the opposite.

They nurture and love and bond with their needy, beautiful babies. Emotionally and physically, these women are so strong.

And this strength isn't just necessary on delivery day; this strength must endure in the weeks and months and years ahead — as their bodies and souls heal, crafting new dreams with their little ones in their arms. C-Section mamas are beautiful.

Becoming a mother leaves all of us with scars. Some of them are emotional; some of them are physical.

C-section mamas often have both. And yet their scars are powerful reminders of the strength and bravery they possessed when bringing their children into the world.

These scars were the door their children passed through as they left one world for the next. I'm captivated by how different each scar is – the texture, the length, the placement. Just as each scar is unique, so is each c-section birth story.

I'm captivated by how these scars change over time – how they fade, how they grow, how they heal.

These scars are beautiful and something worth celebrating.  Instead of covering our C-section mamas with shame, we need to encourage them to show their scars of strength and bravery to the world.

THE GIANT OF METROPOLIS | Gordon Mitchell | Bella Cortez | Full Length Sci-Fi Movie | English | HD - Duration: 1:30:05.

THE GIANT OF METROPOLIS

<i>In 20,000 B.C...</i>

<i>on the continent of Atlantis</i>

<i>now lost beneath the waters</i>

<i>there lived a people who had developed an amazingly advanced</i>

<i>civilization and who ruled all other people on Earth...</i>

<i>Obro, a man born in the east</i>

<i>dared to probe the mystery of the city of death</i>

<i>His gigantic strength and courage</i>

<i>were pitted against Yotar, the evil King</i>

<i>in a struggle to the finish...</i>

<i>...When the scientists of Metropolis attempted to penetrate the secret of death,</i>

<i>nature rebelled, causing universal destruction...</i>

<i>...love alone triumphed...</i>

<i>...and remained the sole source of life...</i>

Hear me my sons

my strength is waning now.

My journey has ended here.

Listen carefully.

I leave to you all, but especially you Obro

the duty of carrying out that mission our people have trusted to me.

On the other side of that mountain lies Metropolis,

the city which has attained

a terrifying civilization.

You are to go

and say to its ruler

and to its people

that they are wrong,

that they should never

use their knowledge of science

to defeat the ends of nature to sow destruction and death

They shouldn't try to change the natural order.

Otherwise nature will have her revenge on them.

They are challenging forces they cannot control.

If they continue

we'll have a tremendous disaster.

Come my friends, let's go on!

Don't move!

You'll have to go on with only your brothers now! We're turning back!

You promised my father that you would follow him and now you'll follow me!

Your father's death has released us from every obligation.

My men are all exhausted.

I'm not going to make them run further risk!

I have no intention of challenging the power of Metropolis! Farewell!

Turn back men!

Yotar, the results of our research

in cosmic action have revealed that

important astral movements are taking place right now.

Consequently, it is advisable to postpone

all of your experiments on your son Elmos for awhile.

Within two months,

the conjunction of the stars

will create favorable physiological conditions.

for the transplanting of a human brain.

None of the other experiments need be postponed in the meantime.

We are expecting the results of these to be positive.

But do your expectations also extend to the case of Egon?

The attempt to restore the body of Egon,

the chief of our people, to life

could not be postponed in any case

even if cosmological conditions should

prove to be unfavorable.

Very well. Above all, I am worried about the experiments on Elmos.

He will be the first youth to have the wide

experience and the accumulated wisdom that heretofore

could be found only in the brain of an elderly man.

There are some men on foot who are entering the valley of Metropolis.

As soon as they are within the radius of action, maneuver them into the magnetic traps.

They are near enough now.

You can set the controls.

Stop!

We have finally managed to arrest and reverse

the disintegration of cell structure.

For two days now Egon

has been in a state of regeneration.

And if our prognostications are scientifically correct, before long

the great miracle will have been performed.

He will be restored to life.

Like all successes of science that have been achieved before

this also is due to the pitiful sacrifice of one of the

humans we've kept under observation. He was one hundred years old.

What does the sacrifice of a man matter

when it serves to further the progress of science?

Nothing.

The people will be grateful to you for restoring to life

one of their valorous leaders.

Yotar, there is a stranger on the frontier of Metropolis who has survived

the whirlwinds of death.

How can that be possible?

It's mysterious.

I have given the order in your name to capture him alive.

Can there be a blood stronger than our own?

Perhaps we are confronting an entirely new force in the world surrounding us.

I want to see him.

As soon as he's captured, have this prodigy brought into the throne room.

Oh father!

You frightened me!

Have you come to take me outside like you've promised me so many times?

No Elmos, you will still have to wait a little while longer. Then you can go outside.

But I don't see why I have to stay here all alone.

Why can't I go visit my mother and my sister?

If you love me father,

tell me why do you keep me

shut up in here always?

Elmos,

you are the sole heir to the throne of Metropolis,

the continent more powerful than any in the world!

Look there! That magnificent city you see is yours!

The whole world is yours!

Now listen to me. I have planned a glorious future for you.

I shall give you eternal youth.

And you will reign over the whole world forever and forever.

A world that I know nothing of and of cities that I have never seen.

What does it matter?

Father, every night when I go to sleep, I dream of someone who is trying to kill me!

I can feel his hands around my throat choking me!

Father, please take me out of here! Please take me away!

Yotar, the stranger has been captured and brought to you.

On your knees when you face the great Yotar, King of Metropolis!

On your knees, he said!

The King of Metropolis!

You use science to murder people!

I've seen an example with what you did to my brothers!

On your knees!

You can force me to bow down, but you're not able

to prevent me from saying

what I have come here to say to you!

My mission is to warn you that you are doomed

by the terrible power you possess.

Now destroy me if you like, Yotar!

Before you die, you will have bodily evidence of my power.

No matter how much you torture me, you will suffer worse!

Someday you will rule a city of the dead!

You will reign over a wasteland!

You're power is based on a criminal use of science!

It will destroy you! You will die miserably!

I will be destroyed?

What can destroy me? Answer me that!

No one is more powerful than I am.

I have enslaved all the people on Earth! I have made them tremble just as you will!

You'll feel your body and your mind disintegrate slowly, day by day,

inexorably.

Take him down into the quartz grotto!

You're a mad man, Yotar!

Now I have achieved my purpose in life!

I have seen with my own eyes, the marvels of your civilization.

And I am sure that you yourself will be the one who destroys

what you have accomplished

with your horrible crimes! Mark my words!

It's necessary that we order the stranger to be put to death at once.

His very presence here in Metropolis possibly could lead the scientists

to entertain doubts as to the noble aims of our -

No.

We have to let him live.

I want to subject him to all our experiments.

Of a physical and scientific nature.

If he is able to undergo these as well,

then at last we will be able

to create the perfect being.

Now leave me, all of you.

Why did you choose to remain behind?

The stranger has told us the terrifying truth.

His entry into Metropolis

has shown that your science can fail sometimes.

And what if it should fail in the case of Elmos...

But I won't permit you to go on with what you're doing!

Elmos,

Our son should be returned to me.

How can you be so cruel?

I know those scientists

will destroy him or else they'll turn him into a monster!

Texen...

you are the queen only because I have

made you the queen.

Mesede,

child of my first wife.

Your mother sacrificed herself because she had faith in me

and in my scientific knowledge.

I forbid you as I did her to oppose my will.

Elmos will be immortal.

He will be the first human being to enjoy youth forever

and will triumph over death.

Now go.

Father, for what reason did you send for me?

Yotar, you are committing a great many errors.

I beg you to stop before it is too late.

These experiments of yours

are only causing death and human suffering.

I continue the work that you first undertook father,

which has given Metropolis its advanced civilization.

No, Yotar.

I created this civilization and you are destroying it.

You took the people's will, but not mine.

My existence is prolonged artificially

because you want to inject my brain cells into Elmos.

It's monstrous of you. You will never succeed my son.

Why not let me die in peace?

You shall stay alive as long as I wish.

Elmos will have perfection.

He will never know childhood,

but he will have a mind superior to any other.

More than to the populace who have always shown me affection,

I am grateful to the King who restored me to life.

All my joy is overclouded with apprehension for Elmos,

but may Heaven give me assistance in my endeavor to serve him.

Stranger.

at last you shall learn there is strength mightier than yours.

A living creature who will crush you and make you see that you are nothing.

The people are subdued.

We can mold them into a superior race according to my plan.

This night, the full moon is our queen.

After the ceremony,

you will be joined together

in a physical union.

Your will and your intellect

will remain unaware.

Mesede !

Get away from me!

Your mind is still as far as ever from reality.

You are in my power.

And I love you!

No.

You desire only to possess my body.

And you want to destroy every vestige of my will.

But I refuse to let you, Yotar.

I loathe you.

I want you.

These are pygmies who rip off their victims' flesh with their teeth!

Defend yourself!

Spare him.

Yotar, the molten core underneath the Earth's crust is rising to the surface.

Many new volcanoes will erupt through the outer layer

and emit vast quantities of heavy vapor into the atmosphere.

This much we can safely predict.

I want to have a look.

If we were to harness this energy,

we could make Metropolis even more powerful.

I'll question the old cave dweller.

He may give an explanation for such a phenomena.

How do you explain this strange phenomenon in the Earth?

Yotar, listen well to me.

In the 200 years of my life

I have never seen the crater as active as it is now.

Days of terror are ahead of us.

All the energy

extracted up to now from the Earth's interior

has put a strain on the shell which contains the force within it.

Don't ask the Earth

to withstand more than it was meant to.

Or the day will not be far away,

when the Earth will exact a horrifying revenge.

No.

The same way science has been able to keep you alive for two centuries.

It will be able to control any force unleashed by the powers of nature.

Stranger.

When you came to Metropolis you spoke of destruction only.

Why?

You predicted my downfall and the loss of my continent as well.

You think you can make me afraid by acting like a messenger of doom?

No, Yotar.

A messenger of hope.

There is still time enough to save Metropolis.

But you are blinded by ambition and cruelty.

You will pay with your life for those words! I will destroy you without mercy!

It is only a ray of light

that presses on you.

You are powerful, stranger.

Stand up under it.

Make a try.

Make another try.

Push harder! Push harder I said!

Now free of the light.

Come here and strike me.

Scalding rays!

Rays that freeze you!

He is still alive.

How can you explain his endurance?

He has been endowed with vitality above the ordinary.

His blood is a rarity and it should not be wasted.

You're right. It is what I need

for Elmos.

He will have a better reaction when the brain is transplanted.

The stranger's blood will be transfused into the body of Elmos.

When is this inhuman deed to be perpetrated?

Yotar has decided.

It will be sometime tomorrow. We must act at once.

There is someone in the corridor.

Go look for a strong and trustworthy man.

I shall provide one of my slaves.

Why did you have me sent for

at this time of night?

Your father is about to commit a terrible crime, Mesede.

I know about it, but there is nothing I can do.

You owe no more obedience to your father, Mesede.

We must both rebel against him.

Even if you are not my daughter, our common sorrow draws us together.

Yotar is obsessed by his insane plan.

Why, your own mother died as a result of the experiments the scientists

performed on her.

Yet she was willing to die for Yotar.

My father's the greatest of kings. And is superior to all in strength of character.

He's more intelligent than we.

Neither you, nor I should question the slightest word he says.

His plans will lead to destruction only and the extermination of the people.

Destiny has brought Metropolis a stranger of a race superior to ours.

Yotar for the first time in his life is afraid of a human being.

He is the man who can save Metropolis

And my son Elmos.

We must set this man free.

And you will have to help me, Mesede.

No, it's impossible.

Yotar is my own father.

Even if he wanted to sacrifice me, I can't imagine opposing my father.

I am all alone.

I've never had anyone else to love.

I'm setting you free and Yotar will begin to panic when he learns you're at large.

And this will inevitably cause

him to make some false move.

Have him taken to the secret cave of the Giants instantly.

Go back to your post now.

And no matter what happens don't you breathe a word of this to anyone.

King Yotar, your orders have been carried out precisely.

Metropolis is now covered by magnetic search rays.

That stranger must not be allowed to escape.

And he must be captured alive, too!

Where can he be hiding?

He couldn't have escaped without help.

Someone here is betraying us.

This is the sentinel responsible for the escape.

He knows what the punishment is.

There's no need of you.

Take him away.

Don't be afraid.

You are safe here.

Who are you?

I am one of the few men surviving in Metropolis

who are still in possession of their own free will.

Why don't you rebel?

Because my physical existence is artificial.

No stranger, you are the one and only man able

to restore the rights and liberty to our people

because Yotar is afraid of your great strength.

Is this the reason you wanted to free me?

What can I do anymore than the rest of you?

With the scientific power Yotar has

he can prevent me from taking any action.

I will arrange it so his powers can not harm you.

You will have to do away with all the men who guard Yotar.

The only ones in Metropolis

capable of any fighting.

No, that's impossible, there are too many of them.

Without the protection of his personal bodyguard,

I am certain that Yotar will see that he must surrender.

You can take them by surprise one by one on the open streets.

No one but they are permitted to walk about the streets at night.

I will point out all the secret passages, too.

No, I did not come here to kill anyone.

You have no choice. Your own life is at stake as well.

I shall return tomorrow night.

Have you unearthed any clue yet as to the whereabouts of the stranger?

No Yotar. In spite of all our searching we have found nothing yet.

He must have had very powerful accomplices.

I can't explain it any other way.

From here you can get away safely.

The passage I've led you through is known to no one but myself.

Why have you never shown it to the people of Metropolis?

because the artificial existence imposed on them by Yotar

have deprived the whole of our people of any free will of their own.

They are in no condition to resist or even to react to their situation.

Before we can save them, we must destroy the ruthless creatures that keep them in slavery.

I think the time is propitious for you to begin your mission as a terrorist.

What have you called me here for?

The signs of the heavens

are adverse to you.

Don't try the experiment on your innocent son, Elmos.

I have been told the stranger has succeeded in making

his escape.

He will cause a great upheaval in Metropolis, Yotar.

He has the force that comes from nature.

The stranger will be killed, I tell you.

And so will all the traitors around us.

No one can oppose my will.

What are they doing?

They are having a state burial for two laboratory specimens they sacrificed.

Let's go.

One of the queen's slaves.

He was caught while he was with the stranger.

He let himself be killed so he could get away.

Even if she's in anguish over Elmos, the queen would never dream of turning traitor.

Texen...

Texen.

Texen!

Texen!

Shouting, losing your head with fear.

Trembling

For the first time in my life, I see you trembling Yotar.

Where have you hidden the stranger?

Speak!

Look for him.

Where is the stranger? Answer me, you traitor!

He is everywhere around you and to you he is invisible.

But when you see him face to face, it will be your final day!

You thought your treachery would mean my death, but I'll kill you!

You won't have the satisfaction of killing me!

For all the evil you've done to me and to my poor little son Elmos,

for all the suffering you brought on the people

I put a dying curse on you, Yotar!

I put my dying curse on you!

The poison

was swift. She's dead.

Bring her back!

Don't be afraid.

No one will find you here.

Why were you running away?

Because...

Because Texen...

What has happened to Texen?

Yotar has driven her to suicide.

I will avenge her death.

I'm afraid!

I'm so afraid!

He wants me to die! He'll kill me!

Please help me!

This situation has never been recorded before

And is of such importance we must tell the king at once

And it will not be easy to tell him.

Speak up!

Why are you afraid to talk?

Why doesn't one of you speak up?

Yotar, unforeseen developments in the orbiting of the planets

have upset in a most serious manner

the normal equilibrium of the forces interplanetary scale.

As a consequence, the entire solar system will be drastically changed.

Among the effects

of these terrifying changes

The axis of the Earth will shift 90 degrees in another direction.

The Earth will be shaken by a series of violent earthquakes.

The oceans will overflow their shores submerging whole continents.

Metropolis, basing its existence and its great power

on the energy extracted from the very center of the Earth itself

is condemned to disappear

The blazing furnace over which we have built our city will be fatal

Metropolis can not possibly be destroyed!

You must discover some way of preventing this catastrophe from affecting the continent we live on.

Yotar, it would be better to emigrate from here to higher ground.

No!

But we could always construct a new and better Metropolis.

You must be out of your mind!

The stranger is responsible for all of you doubting yourselves.

You haven't any more faith in the power we can wield with our science.

We must know enough to save Metropolis.

And I order you to save her!

Now listen carefully.

The stranger is sure to make an attempt to commit another of his repeated acts of terrorism.

This door is the only way into the palace.

Yotar wants him taken alive.

Follow me.

The guard has been heavily reinforced.

Now, I will show you the way into the hall of arts and sciences.

Kill the guards without mercy

They're all monsters.

Afterwards, you can make your way back to the hiding place through the secret passage.

These continual acts of terrorism which the stranger is committing must be brought to an end.

The fact that my daughter Mesede is with him should have no influence on the action you take.

And it is the capture of the pair of them that I am now ordering!

Tarakai!

Every night you risk your life and it's all for no purpose.

Your struggle is in vain.

There's no force in the world able to overthrow

the law of Yotar.

Leave me alone.

Even after running away. You're under the influence of your father.

No, I don't feel it when you're here.

When you're away...

Whenever you go out and leave me all alone

you can't imagine how I have to struggle against the desire to leave.

Because your heart is empty.

Elmos and the people are suffering.

But that has no affect on your selfishness!

You're worthy of your father, your soul is dead!

Oh no, don't say such a thing! It isn't true!

That's what I wanted to hear.

Your despair proves that you're still alive.

That you can still look forward to tomorrow.

Tomorrow...

How do you think I could have any idea, the meaning of this word.

For in my position, I was unaware of the future

I only wanted to conform.

But now I want to live.

I love you, Mesede.

You're made like I am.

Show me what it is to live, Obro.

Will you tell something else of the land where you live?

There's nothing else to tell you.

You know all about it.

That doesn't matter.

It gives me a wonderful feeling to hear you describe it.

You can't imagine how wonderful life is in my land.

The men are proud and free.

The respect each other and help each other.

And women and children?

When a woman and man are in love with each other

no one forbids them to share their lives.

When a child is born of their love, it grows up happy

and carefree.

Is this true? Even if your king doesn't want it?

Our king has no power over these things.

We obey the law of another.

A superior being. His is the only law that governs two people in love.

Please take me away, Obro.

Please take me to live with your people.

Help me learn all there is to know in that marvelous world.

I will, Mesede. I promise you.

You have asked the scientists of Metropolis

to provide the ultimate proof of your power.

We are prepared.

We will begin as soon as you give us the order.

This is the moment I have waited for.

Now I must decide.

Life or death for my son.

The perfect physical condition

which Elmos enjoys will permit us to perform this great experiment.

Are you sure we'll succeed?

Only the force of inscrutable fate

is powerful enough to overthrow the inflexible laws of science

Then leave me alone with Elmos.

It's best that I have a talk with him first.

Oh father!

Come along with me, Elmos.

Where are you taking me?

Outside of here.

Once and for all.

At last father, I can go see my mother and my sister

And I can go see grandfather and have him tell me some of his fables.

We are witnessing a memorable day for Metropolis.

Go in peace to the world of shades, venerable father of Yotar

You death will mean the joy of eternal youth

for Elmos, our future king.

Go with them, Elmos.

Aren't you coming, too father?

I will come later. I want you to go first.

Don't be long, I'll be waiting for you.

No! No!

Father! Father!

I don't want to!

Don't let them do it!

I don't want to!

Don't let them hurt me!

Father, what are the men going to do?

Mother...

Mother!

How much time will the operation take?

That depends on many circumstances.

We begin the operation with a treatment of energy from radiation

which highly accelerates the reproductive rhythm of living cell structure.

Inform the people of this great event.

It's miraculous.

If Egon had never taken you through the secret passage that leads here,

I would never have been able to see such as sky as this

and all these flowers.

It's beautiful.

There's no one in Metropolis who has ever seen the sky when it was blue.

It's the fault of our scientists. Whatever they do, the atmosphere is strangely discolored.

None of the achievements of the scientists of Metropolis is of use

There isn't a single thing they do that is for the good of humanity.

Let's not think about it. Look around!

It's magnificent.

I love you, Obro. Stay with me forever.

Why, that's the signal.

They sound it when something terribly important has happened.

Look at the lights.

The phenomena foreseen by the astronomers is taking place.

This is probably due to an increase in subterranean temperature inside the volcano.

The earth is exuding heavy vapors.

Soon we'll have the first of the earthquakes.

We must hurry.

What do you want, Egon ?

I'm worried about Elmos' safety.

Why do you want to risk the life of your own son?

Elmos is not going to die!

Yotar, you are suffering.

I see that even you are human.

And your heart pounds with fear for your son. You are no longer so sure of the power of science

How dare you speak in this manner to your king!

Remember that it was I that brought you back to life, but as I made you live I'll destroy you.

You are unable to frighten me anymore.

It is you who fears the stranger

You searched in vain for the one who helped him get away.

Well, I was the one who did it!

And you shall die again, Egon.

Why do you go on talking about death?

You can kill, Yotar, and destroy

but you are about to see the day when you will realize the enormous power of creation

and vanquishing death is impossible

Order them to increase the energy of radiation.

I wonder where Egon is. He should have returned by now.

Don't worry about him, he'll come.

I can't wait here doing nothing.

He must be in grave danger.

I'm going to help him.

Obro!

Obro, I'm afraid for you.

I'm coming with you.

No, you stay here.

And don't worry.

<i>Yotar...</i>

Father, is that you?

<i>Your reign is coming to an end.</i>

<i>Your star is setting in disgrace and under ruin.</i>

<i>Only the sun will rise again after catastrophe overwhelms the world.</i>

<i>The wrath of nature will punish you for your crimes</i>

Father...

Don't torment your son in this way.

Science has taken your life from you.

But your mind will live on in Elmos.

And you too, shall know immortality.

<i>Yotar.</i>

<i>Yotar!</i>

<i>A mysterious force dominates the universe.</i>

<i>It lies far beyond the scope of any human mind,</i>

<i>it remains impenetrable.</i>

<i>The power of death shall never be vanquished.</i>

Father...

Father!

Don't abandon me!

Yotar.

Yotar !

You are mad!

Mad!

You are speaking to a shadow!

You wanted to make all time come to a halt.

But you are nothing! Nothing!

And yet you want to condemn your whole people to destruction!

No!

Metropolis will never be destroyed, I tell you!

You know that it's the truth.

And your own madness is what prevents you from accepting it!

So I have to kill you.

Only with your death

can your people recover their liberty

and safety!. - Guards!

Your guards can't help you now! You're alone now!

Obro !

Don't kill him.

Don't kill him.

Father, save our people.

Arrest them!

Put them in the cell for condemned criminals.

Yotar, listen

hear the voice of experience and the wisdom given to great age

allow your beloved son to live out his childhood like any other boy.

Nothing can replace

the joy of our carefree years.

Suspend the operation. Send for the king.

Yotar.

The experiment had entered the last phase

when the energy of the radiation from nuclear particles lessened in intensity.

As a result, Elmos' heartbeat has become weak.

His life may be in danger.

Elmos...

Father, father...

Father

Father, please take me away from here.

Let me see the sky again.

You can see the sky now, Elmos. Are you happy?

Yes father. It's beautiful.

But why is there so much fire in it? I remember it used to be different.

Why does the sky have to be so red?

Father, let me see it on the side looking toward the sea.

From here you can see more stars.

But I wonder why there's all this fire there.

It was my fault that you were captured. But I couldn't help doing what I did.

I couldn't stand by and let you kill my own father.

Don't say that, Mesede. It's not the fault of anyone.

Just try to be courageous.

Be courageous, because of you, yes.

And it doesn't matter if Yotar puts us both to death.

He won't have enough time.

We'll all be killed in the catastrophe.

It'll happen any minute now.

The course of every life is written in the skies

and we are in the hands of the superior being

who guides the footsteps of man.

Obro, no one has ever spoken to me of the superior being

You were the first to tell me.

But it was he who made me love you and you love me and I am thankful.

Perhaps before we are destroyed Yotar will realize that he was mistaken.

He is not evil. He was just blinded by science.

We must forgive him

<i>Mesede.</i>

<i>I've already forgiven him.</i>

<i>I have only one regret.</i>

<i>That I will never have a child. I wanted so to have a son in your land.</i>

<i>Mesede...</i>

<i>We could have watched him grow up</i>

<i>free and strong, like you</i>

<i>That was my dream...</i>

<i>my only dream.</i>

That's Mesede's voice I hear.

<i>I would have called him Yotar.</i>

Where is she?

Father, please let me see her again.

Yotar, the people are becoming unruly.

The magnetic rays no longer function.

The sea is overflowing every barrier

and will soon reach this level. Save yourself. You still may have enough time.

No.

For me, it no longer matters.

But I want you to save Elmos.

No, no!

Father, don't take me away

Wait.

Save the lives of Mesede and the stranger.

Father, father!

I tried to overthrow the forces of nature!

And nature has humbled me in the dust!

Now nature has defeated me!

- Elmos ! - Mesede.

Yotar has given us orders to lead you to safety in the mountains.

- Elmos ! - Mesede.

Let's go Mesede.

We can make it to the secret passage that Egon showed me.

First Time Home Buyer - 10 Biggest Mistakes to Avoid - Duration: 5:32.

What are the ten of the biggest mistakes to avoid when buying a home? Well that's what

we're talking about today and we're starting right now! Hey everyone welcome

back to my channel, I'm Angela O'Hare a Realtor here in Las Vegas, Nevada

with The O'Hare Team at Urban Nest Realty. To learn more about us visit our website

at theohareteam.com. If this is your first time here, consider

subscribing by clicking that button down below

and even that bell for notification. If you're watching this on Facebook be sure

to click on the link in the description to watch the full video there. Also, stop by

every Monday for a new video on my channel. So, what are the 10 biggest

mistakes to avoid when buying a home? You've been thinking about settling down

and buying a home for a while now and you finally think you're ready. Now it's

time to tour some digs, but before you begin we need to get a game plan. So,

before you hit the trail make sure you're aware of some classic mistakes to

avoid. We promise it will mean happy house hunting from here on out. Number one, Not

Arming Yourself with the Mortgage Pre-Approval. Nothing screams, "I'm not

really serious" like going to look at houses without having a mortgage

pre-approval. That's because a seller will not even

entertain your offer without that. A pre-approval also lets you know exactly

how much you qualify for so that you don't waste your time looking at houses

that you can't even afford. Number two, House Hunting without an Agent. By all

means start out by looking online at those beautiful pictures, the more the

better. It's a vastly useful way to get in the lay of the land. But when it's

time for you to get serious to buy a house, you need to hire professional for

that. A buyer's agent can help you avoid making costly mistakes when it comes

time to making an offer. Number three, Not Knowing What you Want. It's important to

make a wish list before you even begin shopping, because looking at extremely

different types of properties will slow down the process. It's fine to consider

many types of properties at first, to get a sense of what your options are. But

after that you really need to narrow it down

what you're looking for because then spend hours touring open houses and

touring houses that are wasting yours, and your real estate agents time. Number

4, Waiting Too Long to See a House. In this tight market, when a real estate

agent sends you a new listing, you better jump on it and go see it right away!

Otherwise you can kiss that house goodbye, because it's gone the next day.

Number 5, Expecting Perfection. If you're hoping to find the perfect sized house

and the perfect neighborhood, with all the amenities that you want, and a pool,

you can actually dream on! Two out of three isn't bad, it's rare to get

everything you want in any area of life, and home shopping is no different. Focus

on what's most important to you. Number six, Falling in Love with the Home Decor.

So your dazzled as soon as you walk in the door, but is it really the home

that's dazzling you or is it the decor? Make sure you're visioning your stuff in

the home and falling in love with the house itself, not the way the home is

staged. Number seven, Ignoring the Neighborhood. When you touring the home, make

sure you save time to actually tour the neighborhood. You may get buyer's remorse

because your regret the neighborhood that you purchased in. Number eight, Don't

Make Ridiculously Lowball Offers. You obviously want to get a bargain, but by

making such a low offer, you may just lose the house that you fell in love

with. When you overlook market data and you make that lowball offer, it's like

slapping the seller in the face and if you offend the seller they may not even be

willing to make a counteroffer. So bottom line is this, trust your real estate

agent to help you assess the value of the home and make a winning offer. Number

nine, Don't Forget to Budget for Closing Costs. In this market, as the home buyer,

you have the unfortunate pleasure of paying for the closing costs. Your

mortgage lender should be able to give you a rough estimate of your closing
