Youtube daily report Nov 5 2018

- Hi, I'm Bailey.

Welcome to ipsy U Beauty 101:

tinted moisturizers, BB creams, CC creams.

What does it all mean?

I'm here to break it down for you.

What kind of coverage it gives,

who it's for, how to apply.

I'm gonna show you how to achieve flawless,

natural-looking skin with these products.

These products are great for every day use,

any skin type, and awesome for when you just need

to put on something and get out the door.

You get a fast application with them

and they're a great alternative to foundations.

So we have our lovely model here, Vanessa.

The first item I'm going to start with

is the Juice Beauty Phyto-pigments illuminating primer.

So this I'm going to apply all over your face.

It's gonna give some illuminocity.

But it's great for all skin types.

It's going to either replace your moisturizer

or wear with your moisturizer.

It's gonna give a really nice, healthy allover glow.

It has Vitamin C and E in it,

so it's gonna hydrate, but also over all it's going to help

even out the skin.

So for foundation, we're going to be using

the BareMinerals Complexion Rescue

Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream.

So this is a tinted moisturizer that has SPF 30 to it.

It's great for all skin types,

but it's mainly going to give you a sheer wash of color.

It's really gonna reduce any redness.

It's buildable so you can build it

from a light to medium coverage.

You can apply it with a foundation brush,

your fingers, or a sponge.

It also has anti-aging benefits to it.

But I think most of all like, it's very versatile,

anyone can use this no matter how good or bad

you are at make up.

And the SPF is really gonna protect you from the sun.

I'm applying the product to the back of my hand,

and I am gonna use my fingers to apply.

You wanna warm up the tinted moisturizer with your fingers.

This is great for when maybe you're in a rush,

you don't want to spend a lot of time doing your makeup.

You just warm it up in between your fingers

and then place it on all over the face

like you would a moisturizer.

I mainly like to start at the center of the face,

'cause that's where we get the most redness.

And then I just lightly blend it outwards.

Tinted moisturizer is great

because it really melts into skin, and it looks like skin,

but it's just adding a little bit of coverage.

If you wanna add more coverage,

let's say maybe you're going out

and you don't necessarily want to use your foundation.

You can use a brush

and just lightly buff the product into the skin.

This will give you a more flawless finish

but also a little bit more coverage as well.

The synthetic bristles don't hold on to a lot of product,

whereas our fingers or a sponge

will really hold onto product, absorb it,

and then you get a sheer wash of color.

So with a brush, you're gonna get more color,

more pigment, and more coverage.

But still a natural finish.

So I'm just using a fluffier brush,

and I wanna set mainly like in the T zone,

'cause that's where we tend to get the most shiny.

Just to tone down any type of shine, keep you matte all day.

If you touch your face, you're not wiping anything off.

So this is a Ciate Wonderwand Mascara.

It has 24 hour long-wear results.

It also is gonna add a lot of volume and curl.

It's smudge-free.

It has an hourglass shaped wand to it,

so it starts really wide

and then it slims down in the middle

and then gets wide again.

(upbeat music)

So we have our beautiful model Sophia here.

So you can apply a BB cream with your fingers

or a brush, it's really up to you

and what kind of coverage you want.

If you want it to be more light, every day,

I would say with your fingers.

The warmth of your finger will really help it

melt into the skin and look more natural.

This is the Purlisse BB Tinted Moist Cream.

It has SPF 30.

It glides on like a tinted moisturizer,

but it also has skin care benefits to it,

anti-aging benefits to it.

You can get anywhere from a light to a medium coverage

depending on how much you put on.

But most of all, any skin type can wear it.

So good for sensitive skin, normal, oily, dry.

You can wear it alone, you can wear it under foundation.

There's so much you can do with this.

I'm starting at the center of the face working outwards.

Center of the face is usually where we want

the most coverage 'cause that's where

we get red hormonally or we break out the most.

I want to put the foundation there

and then blend it outwards.

It has a little bit more coverage to it

than a tinted moisturizer.

And it also has skin care benefits to it.

So this has a very dewy finish to it,

but you could also mattify it by setting

a translucent powder just in the T zone

to tone down the dewiness.

If you like to be dewy, glow all over,

you could skip the powder.

But if you tend to get a little bit more shiny,

just lightly dab with some powder.

This is the BareMinerals

Deluxe Mineral Veil Finishing Powder.

So I'm just going to lightly set the T zone.

So I like to place first,

like press it into the skin,

and then I can go back and sweep.

(bright music)

Lastly, our beautiful model Reem.

So a CC cream is a color corrective cream.

It's really going to help even out the skin tone.

It helps with hyper-pigmentation, acne, dark spots,

brightness, and just the overall taking care of your skin

and protecting it from environmental damage.

It usually has a high SPF to it.

You could apply it with your fingers or a brush.

It's really up to you and what kind of coverage you want.

It's going to give you more coverage than a BB cream,

but it's lighter than a foundation formula.

You can also layer this underneath foundation

if you want a very full coverage,

or you can just strictly wear it alone.

Today I'm gonna use a Juice Beauty Stem Cellular CC cream.

It's a 12-in-one multitasking CC cream.

It's gonna help color correct.

Anti-aging, it's skin-perfecting results, SPF 30.

It has Vitamin C, which is gonna help brighten,

and Vitamin E which is soothing and hydrating to the skin.

And it's certified organic ingredients.

I'm using a brush because I'll get more product pay off.

Your hands or your sponge can absorb a lot of the product.

So this will make sure that we're not wasting any of it.

And I'm really stippling it into the skin.

And then I'm buffing, just to give a nice airbrushed finish.

(bright music)

Thank you for watching this episode of ipsy U.

I hope you have a good day today.

Make good choices.

And I'll see you guys later.

Bye!

Powerful Panel Discussion Tip #172 with Warren Evans: How You Know You've Done a Good Job - Duration: 1:25.

Warren, how do you know that you've done a good job as a panel moderator?

There is only really one question that to me is important and that is whoever is cutting

the check gives you the answer you want to the questions, did you get what you thought

you were going to get when you asked me to do this?

And if they're effusive in the affirmative, then you've done probably as good a job

as can get done.

You and I both know that some go better than others, and so on.

The real thing for me is, is there buzz going on?

Go out in the coffee break and what are people talking about, last night's football game?

Tomorrow's dance entertainment or what just got talked about in the room?

That's the indicator and there are some ways you can set that up.

Why We Never Got To See How I Met Your Dad - Duration: 5:09.

After the long-running hit How I Met Your Mother left the lineup, CBS planned a spinoff,

and even filmed a pilot, but pulled the plug before the show reached the airwaves.

Here's a look at the reasons we still haven't seen How I Met Your Dad.

Though series creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, along with writer Emily Spivey, shot

a pilot for How I Met Your Dad, CBS kicked it back for reshoots.

This didn't sit well with the trio, who said they wouldn't reshoot the pilot unless

CBS gave a commitment to take it to series.

CBS pushed back, refusing to give the show a series order without seeing the reshoots

first.

Much to the dismay of How I Met Your Mother superfans, CBS officially passed on the spinoff

in May 2014, citing "certain creative elements" as the reason why.

When the pilot script for How I Met Your Dad was released by the website TV Writing in

April 2016, the mystery of why the show was never picked up became a bit more clear.

For one, the dialogue was awkward and stilted, featuring lines like: "Break-ups are like

kidnappings.

The first 48 hours are crucial.

You gotta blow up the bridge behind you!

And the only way to do it is by doing it … with a dude."

And "You're a slob, Sally!

Dishes everywhere, dirty laundry.

And you always leave cabinet doors open!

For a while, I thought we had a poltergeist."

Of course, dialogue is almost always worse when you're reading it off the cold pages

of a script, but these lines felt deeply unnatural, and fans of How I Met Your Mother had come

to expect a certain level of quality.

"That's what passes for comedy these days?

Whoa, I'm falling back in my chair!

Whoa!

Hee hee hee hee hee!

Whoa!

I'm really falling back in my chair…"

The awkward, problematic script might have been what led to the exit of Broadway actress

Krysta Rodriguez, who was originally set to play the best friend to Greta Gerwig's lead

character.

However, Rodriguez reportedly left the show just days before production was set to begin.

Though her departure was never fully explained, the talented actress, who originated the role

of Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family musical, could have been a big hit for the series.

She was replaced by Tiya Sircar, best known for her roles in The Good Place and Alex,

Inc.

When Greta Gerwig was cast in How I Met Your Dad's leading role, many people wondered

how the actress' signature quirky humor would fit into the sitcom medium, and fans

were unsure if the indie film star had enough recognition to carry such an anticipated series.

While CBS was reportedly happy with Gerwig's portrayal of the lead, they weren't as pleased

with two of the other members of the five-person cast.

While declining to name names, anonymous sources claimed "two of the main characters" were

a sore spot for network executives, who felt they simply "didn't pop" alongside Gerwig.

And though CBS liked Gerwig, the network may not have been totally satisfied with the lead

character as a whole.

Sally, who was described as a "female Peter Pan who has never grown up and has no idea

of where she's going with her life," might have been too much of a mess for audiences

to fall in love with, which reportedly was a point of concern for CBS.

"Oh, honey."

Networks take a number of things into consideration when deciding whether or not to order a series.

And while quality is a big part of it, it's not the only thing that matters.

How I Met Your Dad, like How I Met Your Mother, was a 20th Century Fox property, meaning that

Fox would make money from an eventual, potentially lucrative, syndication deal if the series

took off, not CBS.

While this wouldn't be the only thing stopping the network from ordering the pilot, it would

definitely put it at a disadvantage against other comedy pilots that the network was developing

in-house, like Matthew Perry's doomed remake of The Odd Couple.

How I Met Your Mother was successful partly because it was different from every other

sitcom on TV.

The series had an original and refreshing format, which made the pilot stand out instantly.

However, How I Met Your Dad didn't benefit from this originality.

The original format was already stale after nine seasons, and the How I Met Your Dad pilot

did nothing to revamp it.

Just as How I Met Your Mother started with Ted talking to his teenage kids about the

first time he met their Aunt Robin, the How I Met Your Dad pilot saw Sally recounting

to her kids the first time she met Frank, who is assumed to be the titular Dad, before

finally ending with the big reveal that he's actually Uncle Frank.

While that worked for the original series, the revamp needed to do something bigger and

bolder in order to set itself apart.

"I kept this story short and to the point and you guys still missed it."

Fans lamenting the loss of another chapter in the How I Met Your Mother saga got an unexpected

surprise in December of 2016, when it was reported that the spinoff, now officially

titled How I Met Your Father, was back on.

Even more encouraging was that the project had fallen into the hands of Isaac Aptaker

and Elizabeth Berger, two members of the writing team behind the NBC dramedy This Is Us.

However, as This Is Us became a bona fide hit, both Aptaker and Berger found themselves

unavailable to proceed with How I Met Your Father.

Fox chairman Dana Walden told Deadline in August 2017 that the studio would be trying

to develop the spinoff with different writers, adding that they would be "starting from

scratch" and not using any elements of the previous How I Met Your Dad.

Whatever comes of the spinoff, one thing's for sure, it has to be legend...Wait for it

"...DARY!

LEGENDARY!"

I Should Be Dead by QuackNate - Duration: 11:28.

I saw your face again last night it was like that time at the park our third

date I think you asked if we could take another lap around the trail I said sure

as long as we could hold hands we sat on a bench for hours watching the stars

light up getting in our first snuggles laughing some of the details were

different but it was a nice dream it made waking up in that basement cell

all the more unbearable I woke up on the floor cold and in pain I haven't slept

in a bed for God has it been years the clothes I was thrown into this hell with

have long since worn to nothing I still cling to the tatters

it might just be in my head but I feel like they provide some warmth not enough

to keep me from shivering uncontrollably but some even if it is just in my head

every little comfort helps Plus every now and then I catch your scent on it

every little comfort there was no way to tell time down there I never knew when

he was coming back my ribs were starting to bruise pretty bad from his last visit

and my lip felt like it was starting to scab I figured I'd been out maybe an

hour a familiar stinging pain radiated from my stomach chest legs arms

everywhere that touched the ground really splinters the wooden chair I'd

been strapped into when I first got here had long since been demolished my right

arm never set right come to think of it there's not an inch of floor not covered

in old splinters now I tried to clean them up once he just brought in fresh

wood and broke it on me grounded up in his impossibly strong hands and threw

new shards of wood all over he says I'm not allowed to stop bleeding

long ago no way to really tell how far back I thought I was going to die for

sure my arm was broken a huge chunk of wood was jammed into my inner thigh

pretty sure my jaw was out of its socket I stopped screaming for him to stop I

knew he wouldn't plus I saw it made him mad I figured he might go ahead and kill

me I thought I was ready right up until his hands clamped around my neck a

flicker of hope danced through my mind I could still be rescued I could still

have a life I hadn't been down there long maybe a

couple months I struggled weak he spat in my face as he screamed asked me if I

thought I was done asked if I thought I was at my limit my face must have shown

I was I was absolutely at my breaking point

I saw his terrifying smile then he told me I wasn't even close he said I'd feel

like I wouldn't be able to take anymore but then I would because I didn't have a

choice he said he hadn't even started and that he wouldn't let me die until he

was finished with me he was right of course I don't even believe in limits

anymore I've been pushed so far past what I thought would kill me so far past

how much I thought I could hurt so many times I was broken utterly broken not

long after that I had even long since abandoned the hope he would grow tired

of me and finally kill me his appetite is bottomless his imagination limitless

he always finds a way to make it hurt more the next day tonight I noticed my

light flickering the ceiling wasn't finished down there so you could see the

wiring for the briefest moment I swear I saw a spark then another

I had an idea one of the arms of the chair was still mostly intact I tried to

stand but pain shot through my right leg dropping me face-first back onto the

cold floor more splinters I pushed myself up with my left arm and pulled

myself over to the wall I was able to stand up pain shot through my leg again

but I was able to push past it compared to him it was nothing I leaned forward

to grab the arm but stumbled and fell something pushed its way into my abdomen

I didn't look but I could feel it was bleeding I cried and screamed and stood

then fell back against the wall chair arm in hand I weakly raised the arm of

the chair towards the wires the ceiling was lower than normal but I was just

missing it I'd have to get closer I took a few deep breaths each one sending hot

pain through my new abdomen wound I knew I could do it if I could survive

everything he'd done to me I could do this I took a step I screamed as my legs

buckled and I was sure I was going to fall but I didn't

I stood there a shaking unsteady mess I took another step every tendon in my

body felt like a thin metal string about to snap but I stood I took one more I

was barely holding on but I was right there right beneath the light I held the

chair arm up wobbling helplessly body wracked with

countless pains threatening to give out at any moment

I thrust up at the wires I could reach them I must have prodded at them a dozen

times before something wrenched free up there two wires and a little arc

snapping between them I smiled for the first time I could really remember and

push them up into the insulation above at first nothing happened then there was

a smell than smoke then flame once it caught I heard myself laugh and I fell

backwards something punctured the small of my back I didn't care I watched as

the fire spread the smoke was worming its way up into the house above

eventually the chill left the room but I couldn't stop shaking a half-hour must

have passed I could hear sirens Hope showed its stupid face again

right as the fire started to creep down the walls I tried to get to the door but

I couldn't even get up I felt a coldness inside my body as it refused to work

simultaneously breaking into a sweat as the flames danced closer smoke was still

venting up into the house but the room was getting unimaginably hot then

something fell on me I instantly knew I was burning I could feel the flames lick

across my stomach and chest charring and curling up flecks of skin

as it went I could smell myself cooking as I heard

the siren settle in front of the house above the flame spread up the front of

my throat down my sides and across my back down my legs into my hair just then

the door exploded open someone was pulling the debris off of me hope

exploded into my mind I was being rescued

after all this I had been found I was too hurt too badly damaged too far gone

to react when I saw his wild eyes locked on to mine he was screaming but I

couldn't hear it he picked up the arm of the chair and brought it down hard on my

stomach I felt it break through the charred skin he brought it down over and

over harder than he ever had before he rained down blows onto my face across my

chest between and onto every part of my legs my arms my hands my feet the pain

was remarkable a new personal best for him and then it was fine I could see him

standing over me taking my pulse shaking me screaming I didn't care I didn't care

that I wasn't being saved didn't care about the life that he had wasted didn't

care what he had taken from me I knew I was moving on I couldn't feel the pain I

didn't want to die didn't want to live I wanted nothing

I saw the edges closing in and for the first time since I had been dragged out

of that Park I was at peace I saw the fireman shuffle in behind him

I saw him fighting them I saw him get shot then stand then get shot again and

stopped moving I knew he was gone that he'd died before me I wasn't happy

I wasn't relieved I felt nothing and it all faded the rest was black no pain

no comfort no noise no silence nothing I was done

then I woke up looking at you the doctor came in and talked to me through my

injuries the treatment the plan I remember everything

all the abuses all the pain all the lost hope the crying in the shame but mostly

I remember the black the release from it all I should still be there I should be

dead I hate you for taking that from me I hate you more than I ever hated him

Facebook Marketing Strategy: Crush 2019 with Facebook Sales Funnels - Duration: 5:43.

- [Russell] Hey everyone who is just tuning in my name is,

Russell Brunson, and today we're going to be talking

about Facebook funnels, everyday I go through a bunch of

questions you guys ask me, about building your company,

and growing your traffic and your sales and your leads.

And all sorts of fun stuff, and today we're talking about

Facebook funnels.

So the question is,

how do sales funnels and Facebook funnels match up?

How should I be using Facebook?

So, that's a good question and the strategy changes often,

and there's a lot of different ways, but imma kind of walk

you guys through the basic principles that we focus on here

at Clickfunnels, as we're growing ours.

So, for me and for our team everything kind of starts at the

offer level, right, so we figure out first off

what is the offer we want to make, okay?

So the offers like imma sell this and you're gonna get this

and then you're gonna get this and we figure out the offer

right?

Then we come back and say okay cool, that's the offer we're

getting, then how do we sell that.

K, which this is usually, primarily, like the story.

What's the story we're gonna use to sell it.

And that's like cool, here's the story

and maybe we're gonna do that story on a webinar

or a video sales letter or a long form sales letter.

Or whatever, but there's some story.

That we're telling here, that's gonna sell that offer.

Right? Pretty simple.

And then the last thing is like what is the hook we're use

to grab them, okay.

And so the hook then for me, comes back here.

Let's say this is Facebook or Youtube or whatever platform

you're selling on, now I can't to kind if caveat real quick.

Every step in this process, there's going to be a hook,

story and offer.

There's a hook, story and offer in Facebook

and there's a hook story and offer in the sales video.

There's a hook story offer in the upselling,

every piece has that, but as an overarching strategy,

if you look at it from a high level.

It's like, the macro before the micro.

The macro is like the ad is like the hook, right.

Then the sales message, the funnel, is the story

and what you're selling is the actual offer.

K, so if you come back to our core framework of

hook, story, offer, k so this is the macro looking down.

Now the micro looking down, again is our hook, story, offer

in each, every single element of this.

But for this question, we're gonna get to the bigger one.

Alright, so the question is,

how do sales funnels and Facebook match up?

So for me its like, these two things are tying together.

Very very similar, right, Facebook is the group of people

So over here there's all these people all of these dream

customers are over here, Facebook, Youtube

or whatever you want to target makes it simple for us,

who are the exact customers who want our products right.

So when I started selling my, the book Dotcom Secrets.

I was like who are the people who would want this book,

and I'm like K its entreprenaurs who are mission driven,

who are whatever right, and I figure out exactly who those

people are, and Facebook gives me the ability to like

find out exactly who those people are so I can target them

perfectly, right.

So I'll put it like a target here like we can find exactly

who we're trying to target, almost perfectly on Facebook, K.

Now, the goal of this Facebook is to set the hook, right.

So people on their feed, and they're scrolling through

their feed as fast as they can.

They're doing it at their desk,

they're doing it in the bathroom,

they're doing it while they're walking,

they're doing it while they're driving, its horrible!

But, that's what we're doing right.

And your job in Facebook, the first step of the funnel is to

stop them, and grab them and hook em right.

So we hook em, get their attention for just long enough

to send them over here, okay.

And so that's kind of the first step, it's like,

it's the prefunnel, everything happening in Facebook is the

prefnnel, right.

And from here, then the message needs to match, okay.

So whatever my, hook and stuff that's gonna be over here

on the sales page has to be similar to over here.

We've done funnels in the past where like our hook

on the Facebook is amazing, then the come over here,

there's a mismatch, and doesn't convert.

No matter how good it is here or here,

if there's disconnect it doesn't work, right.

In fact a lot of times our headline for the ad will be the

exact same line, that's over here, right.

So I want congruency between the first step and the second

step and from there for them to take the offer, okay.

So then the strategy is like how do I, how do I do this?

How do I create the hooks and the ads?

And it obviously is always changing all the time,

but one of my favorite things to do is we never know

what hook is gonna get somebody to listen right?

So, I'm tryna hook them to have them come listen to a story

about why they should buy my offer.

And inside the story there might be four or five or six or

ten different things inside this story that I'm telling

right.

And so inside the story there might be a bunch of

different hooks, and so I'm thinking what're the different

hooks that's gonna grab someone and say how quick I did it,

how much weight I loss, how much money I made,

how much time I took, you're one of my successes stories

of my students.

All these are little hooks, and so I look at Facebook like

a big pond and I'm throwing out these different hooks,

and I'm tryna figure out which ones are gonna work

and which ones won't work.

One of my favorite examples of this was at

Anthony DiClementi, he owns a company

called Biohacking Secrets.

And he had a book that he created, that was a free book

to teach people how to bio hack,

And at first we set the funnel and it worked awesome,

but then we couldn't come and get people to come over,

and we couldn't figure out what hook would actually get the

right people to come like how do we get his dream customers.

So we told Anthony, go do a Facebook Live every single day,

and each day try a different hook.

So one day he did a Facebook Live

that was like hey, Imma show you guys my number one way to

biohack my mitochondria or something weird like that, right.

And he does a Facebook live about that, puts it out there

and guess what, it was a horrible hook and nobody bought

on it, like, nobody came and watched it.

So the net day he tried a different hook,

and he tried a different hook,

and he kept doing different hooks all of them leading

back to the same free book offer he created.

And he kept trying thing after thing,

and after like day 11 or day 12,

he made a video that's called how to biohack your vegetables

and he's basically like, cooking your vegtables in

Kerrygold butter, something really simple

but for some reason that hook, grabbed his dream customers.

And that video ended up getting viewed a million times,

drove tons of people into his funnels,

and made a bunch of money, okay.

So if you look at this from the macro,

it's hook, story, offer in Facebook or the ad platform

we're throwing a whole bunch of different hooks

tryna find out which ones people will grab onto.

And now if we get em, then we pull them back here,

tell them the story and we make them the offer.

And that's basically how Facebook and how our funnels

how they kind of coexist and how they work together.

Is Facebook we're replacing a whole bunch of hooks,

and over here we're actually telling them the story,

to then make them the offer.

And so I hope that helps you guys understand how those two

things, Facebook funnels and sales funnels,

how they work together.

Thank you so much for watching!

BEST SPICES FOR THANKSGIVING ON A BUDGET - NOREEN'S KITCHEN - Duration: 7:52.

Hi everyone, welcome back to the kitchen today you know Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away and I think

we need to start focusing on that so I'm going to cover a

question that I get all the time

what are some of the essential spices you would have on hand for the holidays if you could only afford a certain few

Let's go see how this all comes together

Today we're gonna talk about the top

Spices that you should have in your arsenal for holiday cooking now this is just we're looking at

What you would want to go out and buy if you don't have it to make a great

holiday meal these are what I consider the essential spices for a

Turkey dinner or even a roast beef dinner or duck or anything like that we're not talking about baking or cooking

essentially we're talking about whatever

You're gonna want to put your hands on to make your bird your stuffing your sweet potatoes your green beans your vegetables everything from

that to your desserts and

These are the things that I have come up with for you these are what I consider to be the top holiday cooking

Essential spices we're gonna start off with the very basic of basics salt and pepper

even if you can't afford anything else salt and pepper

Our super budget-friendly and you can mix them together in a little jar and you have them ready for sprinkling on just about anything

What I have done here is created a salt and pepper blend and it's six tablespoons of kosher salt

1. Tablespoon of butchers cut pepper and 1 tablespoon of fine ground pepper now I have those 2 different kinds of pepper on

Hand if you don't feel free to use what you have on hand and just mix them together in a little Bowl

Put them in a jar and you're ready to go sprinkle at well I also have garlic powder and I have onion powder

Because I feel like these things do to these two things go hand in hand and I never make a recipe well I won't say

Never but it's very seldom that I do a recipe of a savory dish where I not using both of them in tandem so

They're like kissing cousins and I think they're both really important so onion powder and garlic powder right up

There with salt and pepper you can also do a house blend seasoning I know Paula Deen does this a lot

Where she will add garlic to the salt and pepper blend and call it house seasoning I mean you really can't go

wrong next up rubbed sage it's definitely essential for making a turkey a roast beef

even a duck it's important to throw it in with your

Stuffing pork is goes really good with sage so those are things I think when you're making or planning a holiday meal sage is really

up

there

Along with thyme and all these things are easily available at your grocery store and you can get them in smaller

Containers if that's what's in your budget thyme goes a long way tiny little container of thyme will last you months

but just make sure you put it in your hand and you kind of scrunch it up

like this

Before you use it because that's gonna help you

Release some of their essential oils before you put in your dish and if you can't afford these two things

Definitely grab yourself some good quality poultry seasoning this is my homemade version

I will leave a link down below to where you can get the recipe for it and you can also find great

Commercial blends bells being one of them there are a couple really great traditional old-time

Brands of poultry seasoning that you can get your hands on that are gonna be great bells comes still in a tiny little

Cardboard box and it has a very festive label on it and they haven't changed it in like

150 years so look for that one I will put a link down below to a shopping list

where you can get all of these things that

I'm sharing today and you can just make an Amazon order and have them available for you to use

When the holiday rolls around our last one right here is pumpkin

Pie spice now you can get pumpkin

pie spice

You can get apple pie spice you can go out and buy cinnamon cloves nutmeg allspice and ginger and you can mix them up yourself

But if you're on a budget

I say grab the pumpkin pie spice because you can use this in pumpkin pie

Apple pie and apple crisp you can throw it in a blueberry pie

You can throw it in a peach cobbler

You can put it in oatmeal cookies you can use this pumpkin

Pie spice in a lot of things now I really feel like it is doing it a disservice by calling it pumpkin

pie spice because it is super versatile is really a sweet baking blend and

I think that that is what is most important right now so if you're on a budget

These seven things you see in front of you I think are going to be your go-to I have a lot of people ask me

what are the things that you would definitely have on your shelf if you only had a little bit of money and

These are those things so I know that coming from the spice Queen herself

looking at seven little jars may not seem like a lot but

When you're just starting out you don't have a lot of money

spices are

Expensive when you get through your whole list and you go down the spice aisle and you find out that a little container of cloves

Is gonna cost you almost ten dollars it makes you want to cry especially if you're on a budget

That's a good idea same spices Rick brings up a really really good point if you live in an area where you have like a

Latin market or if you go to the Latin section of your grocery store for instance in my area

the Piggly Wiggly and the Food Lion our regional chains they have little Latin sections in their store where they have

Spices that are

Very very affordable much more affordable than they are in the spice aisle with the big major name-brand and they come in smaller

Options you can get them in little bags or in little containers and they're usually

Much much more affordable and you will find like whole cinnamon sticks and nutmegs and allspice berries and things like that

but

also

You will find the blends and as well and at very very good prices thank you honey for reminding me of that because

That was a really good thing to remember I'm always going to the Latin section of the grocery store

Because they have great great things there you should see I hear how excited she gets. I do it's really sad

That is my top six or seven spice

Recommendations on a budget for holiday cooking I hope

That this helps you if you didn't know where to start or it helps give you a guideline or a reminder if you've been cooking

for a long time and maybe you just need to refresh what you have on hand

Make THIS change for BETTER, BRIGHTER skin!Vitamin C Superstar Products for Melasma, aging and Acne! - Duration: 13:53.

Hi guys, welcome back to my channel if you're new here welcome

My name is penny and a certified advanced esthetician in Portland Oregon today

I wanted to talk a little bit about vitamin C and more importantly about

Some types of vitamin C that are on the market now that I think would be much more beneficial for our aging skin

we talked a lot about Ella sorbic acid or a servic acid which are the same thing and

We don't talk about other versions that honestly are probably better. So let's get into it vitamin C

What is vitamin C?

It is a potent

Antioxidant that you know works against free radicals in our environment that are from everything oxidative stress

from smoking the environment clearly the Sun all of those things are stressors on our cells and

caused something called oxidation and

vitamin C is one of them many of

Antioxidants and that helped to mitigate that they helped to kind of absorb and negate those oxidative stresses

Okay, guys we're going to take a quick pause from the video I want to show you a little experiment

This is an apple that I just cut up about three and a half hours ago. That's the core and

These three slices were treated with absolutely nothing. They're just plain slices these three

however

I actually put one of each of these vitamin C's just on

One half of that apple slice and if you take a close look and I'm hoping that the camera really can pick it up

these have oxidized greatly they are very Brown and

They'll just continue to get more and more Brown and on these three. You can really see a distinct brightness

Lightness and freshness to the Apple if you get real close

Hoping it will really pick it up

The edges of the Apple look very fresh and still kind of crisp and you can see on the edges here

They're starting to really brown and degrade you can see that here too. But on the side with the vitamin C

They still look pretty good. This one is the Peter Thomas Roth

This one is the hydro peptide and this one is the mad hippy now

look at that core that is oxidation you guys that is exactly what

oxidation is it has caused this Apple to start to brown and degrade and just break down and

Compare that core next to the brightness of the Apple that's been protected with an antioxidant

is literally

Protecting against that oxidation so that is oxidation

I hope that that kind of gives you an idea of what our skin caryn be facing

Day to day in the environment and in the Sun and that's why these products are so good to help protect against that

Back to the video, okay

Vitamin C does so much more than that

you guys it also helps with collagen production and it helps to

inhibit tyrosinase which as you guys know is the big one for me, which means that it's helping to inhibit that

misfire of

melanin that

cascading effect that can cause

Over pigmentation hyperpigmentation melasma that kind of thing it can also help with something called post inflammatory hyperpigmentation

Which is the pigment that is left behind the overabundance of pigment that's left behind after for example

You have a pimple and it leaves behind what looks like a scar for a while

That's just really excess red or brown pigment

Those things are called post inflammatory hyperpigmentation if it's brown post inflammatory erythema

If it's red and vitamin C can help with both of those as well

So the typical vitamin C that we have on the market is called a sorbic acid

it's what everybody looks for or Ellen sorbic acid and typically what you will find as you will find a sorbic acid is

comes in conjunction with a couple other

Vitamins and it's usually vitamin E and it also is often now put with something called furu liqu acid

Froelich acid is a Fida chemical that is found. It's plant derived, but it is thought to be much much much more powerful

Antioxidant than either vitamin E or vitamin C

But when it's put together with vitamin C. It's not - really really boost the efficacy of vitamin C

It's it makes vitamin E and vitamin C much more powerful. So it's a great cocktail to put your seat and your fruit together

Okay, so that's all great, right?

I mean why what could be wrong with any of that?

The downside of a sorbic acid is that it is not stable. It is not stable at all

Not only is it not stable in the product packaging depending on the packaging?

But it's also not as stable actually on your skin

so you kind of are left wondering I think with a lot of these products that claim to have a servic acid you're

wondering how

Efficacious they really even are I mean after you've had it for a month it does it still even work

I mean and that's a legitimate question to have

So because of that, you know, there's that question, but also it can be extremely

Irritating especially as the percentages tick up and unfortunately, it's typically more efficacious to do all of the things I just listed

Usually are best seen at a higher percentage of vitamin

C higher percentage of vitamin C can be very irritating it caused you to be inflamed red even though vitamin C is said to be

anti-inflammatory if you are sensitive or you have rosacea, it can really knock you for a loop and I

Would recommend to other people to use vitamin C with caution

But I didn't want to touch vitamin C because with melasma or pigment problems

The last thing you want to do is also be perpetually red, right?

okay, so enter in

other forms of vitamin C or

Derivatives of vitamin C or precursors to a servic acid and I'm going to talk to you about two of them today

They don't have a lot of those problems that a sorbic acid has. So the first one we're going to talk about

It's called tetrahedral deckle a sorbet. It's a mouthful and sometimes we'll see it referred to as THD a sorbate

This is an oil soluble version of or precursor to vitamin C

So acerbic acid is actually water soluble. It's hydrophilic it loves water

That's great and all except for what that means is it can't penetrate in through our lipid barrier very well

So it typically sits in our upper layers of our skin in our stratum corneum

And that kind of thing does a really good job there

It's not a bad thing that it's there, but a lot of the anti-aging processes that we're trying to you know

Get to their deeper in our skin

They're in our dermis and it's very difficult for L sorbic acid to penetrate because it's water soluble

It cannot get past our lipid barrier

So it sits on our external our outer skin and does all of that really good

Defense against free radicals. It's good for that

It's wonderful, but it is not penetrating in and because it sits on the surface also

and it's irritating it can be even more irritating because it's sitting on the surface of your skin or hexyl deckle a sorbate is

Able to penetrate past that lipid barrier because it is a soluble

Version of or precursor to a sorbic acid now

it does require an

Enzyme in our skin to convert it into a servic acid in order for it to do a lot of the good things

the cool thing is it's able to penetrate in further into your skin and then

The conversion and then does all those wonderful things that a sorbic acid

Can't get to that makes sense

Acerbic acid is also an exfoliant and it definitely does some light exfoliant to your skin, which can be irritating

Tetra hexyl deckle a sorbate is not an exfoliant

It doesn't sit at the same pH and it does not exfoliate your skin. It is not irritating at all

So it penetrates better. It's more efficacious and it's not irritating

And the last thing that THD is is stable

it actually can have a shelf life of over a year and

It is just not as sensitive to oxygen and light I still would recommend

Good packaging opaque packaging and airtight packaging and I still would recommend not leaving it out

You know to sit in the Sun for sure

But it is a much much more stable both in the packaging and on your skin

Now the second one that I wanted to talk to you about is sodium a Sorbo phosphate now. This is a salt precursor to a

Sorbic acid and why that is super cool is number one. It is extremely stable as well

And number two it is not irritating at all

but that salt component of that precursor of a sorbic acid actually helps that

ingredient penetrate our lipid barrier while it's not

oil soluble the salt helps it it's the doorman kind of like I was talking you about a

Few videos back the salt is the doorman to getting that amazing antioxidant through our lipid barrier

To the dermis where we have you know

our anti-aging processes where we can affect collagen where we can do some of those really good things that tyrosinase inhibiting and

Help prevent over production of melanin. Okay. So where are these products?

well

I'm going to tell you about three products that I have found that have these various ingredients and we're going to start with the

Luma Pro C. This is from hydro peptide. Now. This one is one hundred and forty eight dollars

It's very expensive. The first or second ingredient in here is resveratrol and resveratrol is another amazing antioxidant

That's found in the skin of red grapes and just a really really stellar ingredient all by itself

Then this also has the tetra hex old echo a sorbet

My only issue with this one you guys is that they don't list the percentages and while the ingredients do lie in the upper

the very upper portion of the ingredient deck I

Like to know exactly how much of each active is in the products

I will tell you that this is extremely cosmetically elegant and it feels fantastic under makeup

I'm really really enjoying this in the morning and it almost feels a super lightweight moisturizer

now the other one that also has the THD and that I'm most impressed with is the

Potency and this is by Peter Thomas Roth. Now this one actually lists the actives it has 20%

THD a sorbate it has 3% vitamin E and it has 2% for alloc acid, which is really really great

percentages of all three of those actives and

Here's the deal. This one comes in an airtight pump as well and

Obviously, it's an opaque packaging. It is one fluid ounce you really only need about a pump and

This one is $95

the last thing one that I want to talk to you about with these precursors to vitamin C is

Actually by it's actually by mad. Hippy and this one is again. This is the sodium Sorbo phosphate now

This is a very stable precursor to vitamin C

and the reason why I love this so much is this is perfect for during the day you put this on and is

Extremely it just sinks in your skin. I wouldn't go so far as to call it matte, but it's damn close to matte

No gracing us whatsoever. So I think a lot of people would enjoy this very much under the makeup because it almost goes away

It's like it's not even there the other thing about this one. That is so cool

again is that it uses that salt to enter in through the lipid barrier it is so extremely stable and so

non-irritating zero irritation whatsoever

And I think that that's fantastic because you really want a constant dose of these antioxidants

and if they sensitize you you're not likely to do that, you're likely to quit or use it very

infrequently and

Won't get the benefit as you should if you used it every single day the other thing that's pretty cool about this mad

Hippy one is a the price point is really really reasonable

This one is one fluid ounce and it's around thirty dollars depending on where you buy it

I actually picked mine up at Whole Foods, but you can get it different retailers online

What is super cool about this one is it is really good for acne

and the reason why is it helps prevent sebum oxidation like up to 40% and

That is kind of one of those things. That is really

important in the development of acne lesions

So this one could be really beneficial for not only helping to prevent acne. But also helping with that post inflammatory hyperpigmentation

That happens after a pimple goes away and leaves you with that dating pigment

We kind of doing a deep dive into the vitamin C to see how much it can change the pigment in my skin

And so far what I've noticed is an overall brightening of my skin

I'm not gonna say that my melasma it has gone away or anything like that

But I am noticing an overall kind of glutton hoping that this was helpful in some way

I'm definitely going this is the beginning of a series on vitamin C and

Actives we're gonna talk all about what can be mixed with what when you should use whatever

Takeaway from this though. You guys is vitamin C can be used both morning and night and

Really just take into consideration

The other actives that you're using vitamin C penetrates the best at a very low pH so I find it to be fantastic

Used alongside some other acids. You just have to really watch for irritation and contrary to popular belief

Vitamin C is fantastic when it's used with a retinoid Asst so that that'll be another video as well

This is just a stellar stellar

antioxidant, and I hope that you'll incorporate it into your skincare because I think like me you will find it really does your skin some

Good, so I hope you guys found this helpful, and I thank you so much for watching and I'll talk to you again

Very very soon

Pentagon Documents Confirm Trump Is Using Migrant Caravan As Political Tool - Duration: 3:19.

For the last week or so Donald Trump has been trying to use this migrant caravan in Central

America as a political talking point to get Republicans drummed up and excited about the

midterms by saying the Democrats want to allow thousands upon thousands of immigrants into

this country, and they're probably filled with rapists and murderers and gang members,

and possibly even members of ISIS in this caravan.

Well, as it turns out, the Pentagon disagrees with Donald Trump.

Last week, when they announced that they would be sending several thousand armed troops to

the border, anywhere between 5 and 7,000 with an additional 7,000 on standby ready to go

within 24 hours, they also released a document, a document that was actually obtained by Newsweek

that said this caravan poses virtually zero threat to the United States.

This letter was given directly to Donald Trump and Donald Trump chose to ignore it because

he believed that sending troops to the border and talking about the caravan nonstop would

be a good political move for him and the Republican party.

The sad thing is, he's right.

New polls out by NBC and Wall Street Journal this morning actually show that Republicans

are getting more energized based solely on this caravan talking points being put out

by the president.

But again, the Pentagon itself says that these people are not a threat and that few, if any,

are even going to make it to the United States border to seek asylum, which again, is 100%

legal.

No one that is approaching our border right now in this caravan has done anything illegal.

At least nothing that we know of.

In terms of just walking towards our border to seek asylum, that is not illegal.

So what they are doing, the current action itself, isn't illegal.

Whether or not any of them are criminals remains to be seen.

But so far, very little evidence to even suggest that any of them could be, seeing as how most

of them are just frightened women and children.

That is what the Pentagon tried to warn the president.

But instead, he wants this to be a political stunt.

He is using our military, our soldiers, as political pawns in his midterm game.

I'm sure they realize it.

I'm sure they understand it.

The question is, will Republican voters understand that this caravan is not a threat to them?

They're not going to come and take over the country.

They're not going to walk in here the day before the midterms and start voting for Democrats,

which is something else that Republicans have been saying.

These are people trying to escape violence and come to a country that they thought, at

the time, was better.

At this point, I don't even know if we can say that we as a country are better than that.

There was a time when we were.

But as long as we have people like Trump in office, people like these disgusting Republicans

running the Senate and the House, it's hard to say that we're better than anyone.

Motivational Monday 11 - DON'T EVER TELL ME THAT YOU DON4T HAVE THE TIME!!! - Duration: 2:26.

I have a super stuffed nose but that's no excuse because this is a message I

really need all of you and I mean all of you to understand. Almost every single day

whenever i ask my friends like you know what are your dreams what are your ideas

what projects do you have what do you want to do with your life and how you can

get started. They tell me their big plans, their projects, their dream jobs or

dream house and stuff like that cuz I'm like yo what are you waiting on just

go do it go do it right now. I make a plan for them and

everything and you know what they tell me they just say I don't have enough time

and I'm just standing there looking and I'm like you don't have enough time

are you kidding me are you kidding me I mean like here most of the time we go to

school or go to work for eight hours okay so that's eight hours out of your

life okay and then let's just say we sleep the normal time you see eight

house as well that's 16 hours okay now most people are going to say "ah but Franck-Maleek"

probably gonna say that there's eight more hours

what about eating and all that okay sure will take that into count. Eating

taking a shower all that we can put that into two hours and a half okay two

hours and a half so how much time you have left five hours in a half right

what can you do it five hours that's actually going to help you that's the

time that you have most people are just probably watching a movie, watching some

Netflix doing something that's not helping them reach their goals. Probably eating a bag

of patato chips. Doing something that's not gonna help them. I mean let's take a

great example someone who wants to get into shape, someone who wants to hit the gym. and

they're like ah I don't know if I have the time to go to the gym and everything like that

and I'll just ask them are you probably watching a movie or a series on Netflix

and they say yeah: "I watch two episodes every single day" I'd been like so wait

wait each episode is about like 30 minutes right, and they'd be like yeah

So while the body is left for processing

I can do the motor.

very interesting that I brought with

assembly machine?

infrequently client projects go broke

such a bunch of new original parts.

tuning here too much.

I'll start to open the boxes. what do we have here?

there are forged rods of some company SCAT

SCAT for mitsubishi 4G63

H-Beam RODS

for Eclipse , Eagle ... arp 2000 studs.

as far as I know initially here

planned to put the piston from the EVO.

In my opinion this is the right choice.

for a city car of 300,400 horsepower.

but the project owner turned up

forging and now we will put it exactly.

What is this piston?

forged pistons HKS , size 85.5

here we are all numbered 2 3 4 1.

normal forging. Well, here's the crankshaft!

it was possible to put a crankshaft forged, but

crankshaft from evo 7

or evo9.

they are exactly the same as the DSM's oem crankshaft.

the most important thing is his condition.

at a glance it is almost new.

that's what's really new is

certain phobia about the installation

I am for changing at every opportunity

This is a new pump ASIN.

here is the oem tuning part

four-layer cylinder head gasket

This is a moot point - a set

here is the original new sensor

in the build process will have to figure out all this junk.

here is a 4G63 block.

The first thing I do is

I will drown channels under bearing

turning the liner will shut off the oil

I will tell about the shafts a little later,

when it comes to the oil pump.

then we remember the stubs of all these

oil channels and installation

either those tuned parts , it put in place

Well, let's proceed to the assembly of the short block.

first put the piston and then liners.

and the crankshaft and of course the oil nozzles.

although earlier we often removed them from

but first liners. I do not know what the

let's hope they are of decent quality.

that's the difference

Dotonbori by Night - Osaka - 道頓堀 - 4K Ultra HD - Duration: 10:12.

The Dotonbori area in Osaka needs no introduction.

It's one of Japan's most famous tourist destinations thanks to its unique and frankly, gaudy neon.

Dotonbori is one spot you should not miss when traveling in Japan.

The history of this area goes back to 1612 when Yasui Doton, a merchant invested all of his money in an ambitious development project.

Doton's plan was to actually divert and expand the Osaka Umezu river into a new waterway system

that would link the local canal network with the Kizugawa river. While ambitious,

the project was abruptly stopped during the Siege of Osaka (1614 ~ 1615) which also claimed the life of Yasui Doton himself.

It is only years later that one of Doton's cousins decided to complete the whole project in memory of Yasui Doton.

Now to be honest because of its popularity, the Dotonbori main road has become more and more like a tourist trap.

However, if you start wondering around the Dotonbori back alleys

you will discover some amazing places that only locals care about

as well as stumbling on some small temple festivals as we did.

"...DARY!

LEGENDARY!"

NUVEEN: Good Returns - Duration: 5:01.

- When we think of investing,

we usually think of something like this, or this.

Today, the Atlantic Re:think and Nuveen

have brought together experts,

financial advisors,

and investors to talk about a different kind of investment.

Like this eco-friendly vineyard,

or this bridge that connects hundreds of thousands

of passengers a day.

Investments that make money but also do good.

Let's call this film Good Returns:

A Story About Responsible Investing.

- Responsible investing goes by many, many terms.

- SRI.

- Green, values-based.

- Impact investing.

- ESG.

- It's the alphabet soup that we have to deal with. (laughs)

- But for real, what is it?

- It's a way to invest but using your moral compass

and your values.

- When I first heard about responsible investing,

I was definitely skeptical.

- Almost sounds like an oxymoron.

- There are a number of myths

around responsible investing.

- It's for wimps.

- Progressive.

- Millennials.

- People who are not financially savvy.

- Tree-hugging stuff.

- It's for people who don't care about their return.

- Let's just set everyone straight, this is capitalism.

- This is for anyone who wants to make money.

- Responsible investments have the edge in most cases,

especially for the long-term investor.

- There's no better way to be comfortable

with your investment program than if you view it

as an extension of your values.

- If we can ensure that our investments could provide

the same degree of return

and completely align with our causes,

that's something we'd sign up for in a heartbeat.

- It sounds like a unicorn a little bit.

So, I'm a little bit skeptical but also intrigued.

- So, let's dive into it.

- I think we definitely focus on clean water

and water conservation projects.

- Water, why?

- There's not enough of it and it's all in the wrong place.

- Like at the Oasis Vineyard

in Central California where water is well, scarce.

- The vineyard encompasses 1800 acres and is comprised

of 12 different grape varietals.

There are lots of complexities involved in growing grapes.

You're playing chess against Mother Nature

to create something that's magic in a bottle.

When we acquired the Oasis Vineyard,

the water conveyance system had grown antiquate.

The canals and reservoirs were losing thousands

of gallons of water a week at a cost of hundreds

of thousands of dollars.

Something had to be done.

- Like a capital investment to line

the entire irrigation system.

- By lining the canals and reservoirs,

we're saving thousands and thousands of gallons

on a weekly basis.

Our projected return on the investment in lining

is 10 times cost.

- Impressive.

So, it makes sense that in a recent study from Nuveen,

52% of investors would,

returns being equal,

likely put all of their holdings

in a responsible investing portfolio.

92% of millennials feel the same way.

And yet financial advisors

are recommending even fewer responsible investments

than they were a year ago.

That's because investors have

to completely restructure their portfolios, right?

- That's actually incorrect.

- Responsible investment portfolios are built out

of the exact same building blocks

that any financial advisor would use.

- Stocks, bonds.

- Mutual funds, exchange traded funds.

- From a pure sector stand point, it's the same.

- So, if I cared about my city,

I could invest in something like municipal bonds.

Enter this drawbridge, known as Old Lefty.

- I think you might of made that up.

- I did.

- It's most commonly referred to as the Lefty O'Doul Bridge.

- It's architect went on to design

the Golden Gate Bridge after this was finished,

back in 1933.

- We need to replace some of the members

that have corroded and the bridge decks,

both for pedestrians and for vehicles

will be replaced, as well.

- This is clearly an important piece

of infrastructure for the city of San Francisco.

- We have a baseball team which operates just to the north,

a basketball team about to come in and operate to the south.

Lots of business, a key hospital in the area.

I wish I could put a price on how valuable this bridge is

to the local community and to the city itself,

but it's really incalculable.

- Incalculable, huh?

Any way to measure that?

- Everything is built on data and sets of big data.

What we're trying to do is understand how environmental,

social, and governance data points impact the companies

that our clients own in their portfolios.

- I'd love to see updates on those things just

as much as I would love to see updates

on our investment performances.

- Now we can actually dig in,

dive in and figure out is this investment actually having

a positive impact?

- And guess what?

The results are there, the evidence is there,

and the outcomes are absolutely there, as well.

- Outcomes like emissions reductions

through green buildings.

More jobs, more public green space,

and fewer cars on the road.

- This will be the way of the future of investing.

- It's exciting for us, I'm ready to dig in and learn more.

- Our thoughts exactly.
