Youtube daily report w Nov 3 2018

Episode 17 of This is My 60.

Kind of lost my mojo in October, with so little keyboard related output,

I made Massdrop look like Foxconn a few weeks before Christmas.

Our fist board is also one of the few submissions I've had to this series.

If you hate Reddit, but want the world to see your keyboard,

check the description for details.

I feel like this Chocolate Tofu and SA Chocolatier are mocking me

since I had to send mine back for being the wrong colour.

The finish of the Tofu has garnered a lot of praise

and if KBDFans can bring the same level of quality to their fulfillment, and keep Gary

out of it,

it'll win them even more fans.

All together now....Why didn't I buy GMK Samurai?

Not only is this a really cool photo, and yet another sweet looking E6V2,

but it might be the most expensive photo we've had.

Not everyone gets the attraction of 60%s and even fewer people are down with high-end artisans,

but this is clearly a treasured collection and the title of the initial post on Reddit

might just be warranted.

If you took a keyboard like this to your office, how would your co-workers react?

Would they throw covetous glances at your blatant display of desktop dominance?

Would they long to warm their hands in the glow of those LEDs?

Would they dream about a near-Tantric session of data entry using your sensual amaratine

masterpiece?

Maybe not, but you probably shouldn't let their filthy phalanges anywhere near it.

The thought of typing on XDA might have you reaching for your OXAZEPAM, and a set themed

after Scrabble seem positively QUIXOTIC.

The owner really wanted to MAXIMIZE the effect with the wooden case, which takes some CHUTZPAH.

This set is fairly unique for for themed sets in that it actually got support from Hasbro.

I'm pretty sure we'll never see Nintendo or Disney backed keysets.

XDA seems to have had a lot of really cool themed sets, I'm just not sure I'd like to

actually type on the profile though.

We've seen Tina in many guises on this series, but she's going plateless this time.

I hear it's totally cool to do that at beaches in Europe.

Don't stare at that Zeal60, it's rude.

A controversial choice of keycap is another interesting part of this build and if you

want to hear this user's thoughts the plateless build,

check out his blog for some great and very detailed analysis.

I love overhead shots like this with some signs of life thrown in.

No mean stuff in the comments, please;

ISO users are people too.

The ever popular 5 degree case with some tasty GMK accents and some minimalistic Muji stationary.

It's a well known fact that stationary and keyboards go together like fried noodles and

bread,

I mean a strawberry and whipped cream sandwich.

Look they go together, OK?

Hopefully I can have a better November than October and if you feel like submitting your

keyboard be sure to read the unbendable rules in the description.

I'll see you next time.

POLÊMICA DA SEMANA - VACINA - Duration: 4:43.

PORTA DOS FUNDOS PRESENTS

WEEKLY CONTROVERSY

Good evening. We now begin a new "Weekly Controversy".

Today's topic are vaccines.

We'll begin by talking to the doctor,

postdoctoral researcher in Epidemiology at USP

and professor at UFRJ Dr. Simone Gomes.

Dr. Simone is in favor of vaccines. Good evening, doctor.

Good evening.

I wasn't aware this topic was controversial at all.

I'm extremely in favor.

Vaccines have proven their effectiveness

over the last hundred years.

They've eradicated diseases such as smallpox, polio, rubella.

The measles vaccine alone

has saved over 17 million lives.

I admit I don't understand why the topic of vaccines

is treated as controversial,

since the scientific community...

Time's up! Thank you, doctor.

But not everyone thinks like Dr. Simone Gomes.

Let's see the other side.

The other side is Carlinhos da Silva Rocha.

He's a gamer and entrepreneur, owns a craft brewery,

and is against vaccines. Good evening, Carlinhos.

Good evening. I'm totally against.

Do vaccines save people?

17 million people have been...

Please. I've never seen.

You know what saves people?

Coconut oil and ginger drops.

But the mainstream media doesn't tell that,

because it'd destroy Big Pharma.

The TV doesn't show that.

Now let me ask you, do you have kids?

I have a kid. My kid just got a vaccine.

The kid cried all week, in pain and feverish.

Is that even worth it? I repeat, is it worth it?

Not to mention the fact that a lot of people use vaccines

to get high.

Happens all the time.

A bunch of junkies getting high and mugging us.

Sometimes I'm leaving a salon after a keratin treatment

to maintain my curls.

Then comes a criminal! I'd rather he'd punch me in the stomach

than touch my curls.

I'm totally against it! I'm an anti-vaxxer!

Rede Globo, who may be watching me now,

or their actors,

is pro-vaccines because of that!

Yeah, I'll say it as it is! I don't care!

Time's up, Carlinhos.

Doctor, you have 10 seconds to argue him.

I don't know where to begin.

Of course you don't, hon!

-You're speechless! -First, you mistake injections

for vaccines.

Please, people, there are no vaccines

laced with drugs. Understand that.

You're thinking about the needle...

-Time's up! -That people put...

Carlinhos.

It's over!

-Carlinhos, your rebuttal. -Thanks for cutting her off!

She's talking on TV, for the Brazilian families,

teaching people to use drugs!

It's the end of times!

Well, I'm against drugs and against vaccines,

and my name is Carlinhos. I sell beer.

As you can see, there are people who are against

and people who support it. It's a controversial issue

dividing the Brazilian public.

And now we head for the tie breaker with Ms. Marlene.

Oh, my! How are you, sir?

Ms. Marlene is a housewife.

-Thank God. -She was undecided at first.

Now, Ms. Marlene.

Vaccines: in favor or against?

Look, I think... I think drugs are just a personal choice thing.

Those who like them, use them, others don't.

A lot of people got clean, thank God.

But I hope my son never uses them.

I raised him. You have kids, you know what it's like.

Those that do use them, well, their parents should deal with it.

Neither here nor there, isn't that right, Ms. Marlene?

Absolutely. That's the absolute truth.

This ends today's show. Next week's controversial topic shall be

global warming.

A hot button issue or a refreshing take? Don't miss it!

You're welcome to come if you'd like.

I'm being perfectly civil.

Please, could someone call a cab?

-I've been perfectly nice! -Yeah.

We just can't accept it.

-You see, she's vaccinated. -Guys, please...

-So she's already... -You know?

We have nothing against it.

I even think... Can I ask you something?

You... I'm just asking something! I'm not a bad guy!

-You've just never been vaccinated. -No, but I just wanna chat!

How To Brine And Smoke A whole Turkey - Smoked Turkey Recipe - BBQ Smoker - Duration: 11:55.

what is up everybody this is Lyle no hippie BBQ and what I'm going to be

doing in this video is we're going to be brining and smoking a turkey and

cooking it on our weber Smokey Mountain now I've done a few other thanksgiving turkey videos

this year I have not injected one yet but I do have other turkey videos where I've

brined and injected thanksgiving turkeys as well and I'm going to leave links to all those

recipes in the iCard above and description below we are going to be

changing up this turkey brine just a little bit the last turkey that I did I brined it

with the buttermilk kind of a brine I kind of liked how that turned out the

one previous to that was more of a traditional brine this brine that I am

using was inspired by somebody at work that said that they like to use apple

cider to brine their turkeys so we're going to be doing a little bit of that

in this video other than that the ingredients for our brine are going to

be pretty standard - the brown sugar or sugar that I might use in my traditional

turkey recipes now one thing about a turkey brine is to not really overthink it a

brine can be as simple as just salt and water or salt water and sugar but get

creative with it the ingredients that I'm going to be

using in this Brian like I said we have our apple cider vinegar and I'm going to

be using a little bit of white grape and peach juice as well we're gonna be using

some black peppercorns some dried thyme salt garlic bay leaves and fresh oregano

and like I said we will be injecting it in tony chachere's injectible marinades

for turkey first thing that we need to do is get our brine in this water I'm

starting off with the half a gallon of water so that I end up with two gallons

total once I add our juice into it now I will have the recipe for this brine that

I'm using in the description below but if you look at my cards above there's

gonna be other turkey recipes that have other brands as well so we have our salt

going in we have our garlic

our whole peppercorns you can add crushed peppercorns or you know whatever

we have our bay leaves are dried thyme and our fresh oregano so the first thing

that I'm going to do is I'm going to get this out I'm going to stir this up get

it on the stove and bring it to a simmer just to bring out all these flavors then

we're going to shut it down and let it cool off so now that our pot

has cooled down what we're going to do is we're going to go ahead and get it in

our brining bag I happen to be using a bucket just because a turkey fits well

in a bucket so go out to Home Depot get you one of those for a couple of bucks

I'm gonna be using some oven bags that were meant for turkeys anywhere between

8 to 24 pounds this isn't what I typically brine with but we're gonna try

it out anyway the bag does seem a lot thinner so hopefully it won't tear it

through the bag so let's go ahead and add our solution that we have in the

oven and now we're going to add our apple cider and our peach

now I'm gonna get the turkey in before I add the next bottle and if you see all

the skin hanging off the bottom of this turkey do not cut that off first wait

wait until your turkey is done brining before you start cutting anything on and

we're going to add our last bottle of apple cider and that is fully covering

the turkey now I'm just gonna lift the turkey up a few times just to make sure

that everything and spin it around just to make sure that everything is mixed up

and this is going to go in our garage you can put it in a refrigerator if you

have something that fits but it's pretty cold out here so I'm gonna throw it in

my garage with some ice on top of it it's gonna have a chance to go for a

minimum of 24 hours and I'll probably have a chance to brine it closer to 30

hours just to bring you guys up to speed when I've done after the turkey is

brined for about 30 hours was a win ahead rinsed it off drained the liquid

out of the brine bag filled it up with water and let the turkey sit in the

water to pull out a little bit of that salt for about 15 minutes now this next

step is optional the turkey should be moist as is but to add a little bit more

flavor I am going to be injecting it with Tony chachere's injectable marinade

I'm going with the regular version just because I hand it on a hand I would

typically go ahead and rock this with they have a jalapeno one as well which

is what I would typically use if I didn't have this

and so they have a lot of different flavors of this and at Walmart I think

this is under $4 so let's go ahead and get this turkey injected so when you buy

these it's going to come with the injector as well

so I'm going to go ahead pour some of this injection into a glass get my

injector put together and start injecting the tricky

Barty brine this turkey it's not going to absorb as much of this injection as

it would without it so if you're not brining you should be able to get about

a full bottle of this into a turkey since we have brined it we might be able

to get a half a bottle to three quarters of the bottle and really all that we're

trying to do is just hit it every eight to a quarter of an inch we're not only

just going to get the breast but we're gonna also come over here and get some

of these legs as well and I think that we are good to go that's about a half of

a bottle and when you're injecting this don't inject it too fast or it's just

gonna start squirting a lot out of these holes to stuff in this turkey I just use

random ingredients that I have around the house so I have some garlic we're

just gonna throw that in skins at all some more slices some apple slices and

this is really not gonna pick up too much of this flavor but you will be able

to get some of that essence we have some oregano and this is going to serve two

purposes it's going to expand the cavity and help it cook evenly so we have that

we have some rosemary and then we're just going to finish it up with the rest

of these apples and oranges all right let me get some more gloves on and we'll

go ahead and season this turkey down let's go ahead and season up this turkey

one thing I really like to use as a binder and gives Turkey a great color is

some peanut oil the seasoning of choice on all my

turkeys would be a seasoning called herb de Provence now this is more for color

and things like that than it is for actual seasoning remember we've brined

this and we've injected it so there's really no reason to add any salt based

seasoning to this so this is going to add some great color to this turkey so

let's go ahead and rub this down and just the thin layer is going to be good

so now that we have it rub down with this oil let's go ahead and hit it with

our seasoning

alright guys that's enough seasoning right there I have a full chimney a

charcoal outside getting lit up we're gonna go ahead and use our weber smokey

mountain and i'm gonna still use this pan on the weber smokey mountain just

makes it easier for us to remove the smoked turkey when it's done getting cooked

let's go outside so let's go ahead and add the charcoal to our weber smokey

mountain i have a full chimney of charcoal this is about 75% lit and i'm

going to add a few generous lux lumps of pecan wood now we're gonna go ahead and

get our turkey on i don't have any water in this water pan right now since we are

starting with the full chimney full of charcoal i am going to shut these

dampers down about halfway on the bottom and i'm going to keep the top vent

completely open we're gonna cook this until we get to an internal temperature

of 170 degrees and i'm going to be plugging in a meat probe in this to

monitor the temperature after we look at it our first time in about 45 minutes

so we are about 45 minutes in on this and I've been running at about 350

degrees at this point I'm going to go ahead and insert my meat probe and we're

gonna go ahead and cook this until we get to 170 degrees internal temperature

I'm liking the way this color is kind of turning out right now so we're not going

to worry about foiling these wing tips or the legs yet but we will check it in

another 45 minutes as I just wanted to check on this turkey we are two hours in

and I'm at a hundred and twenty seven degrees I just wanted to check it to

make sure that my wing tips weren't getting too dark on it or we weren't

getting too dark on our turkey and we're good to go right now we're probably

going to need another thirty minutes on this until we hit a hundred and seventy

degrees rather than bringing you back out here when we hit one hundred and

seventy degrees I'm just going to bring it inside let it rest for about five

minutes and then we'll taste it

all right guys let's get into this turkey now my cook temperature on this

turkey was anywhere between 350 375 somewhere in that neighborhood a little

bit lower than what I normally cook these turkeys at like I'm a fan of the

high temperature you know method as far as Turkey goes

but let's see how this turned out we did brine it we did inject it I do expect

some good flavor out of this and if you see all this shrubbery out here you know

most of it we're gonna be making some homemade turkey stock be on the lookout

for that video it's gonna be all that so can I already see we got some moisture

up in here let's taste it

you can get a little bit of that injection I bet I could bring this out

very moist turkey so again can't go wrong with it

it is a tasty turkey and I do want to thank you guys for stopping my no hippie

German, Us, and Uk employers reaction to artist job application | Artist jobs - Duration: 10:52.

So

Good morning. Today is 3th of

November. 2018.

And,

It's been 63 days.

I count 63 days and I'm looking for a job.

A foreign as an artist

In Europe.

And in the Us. Since,

63 days. So, how does

it work? It goes like,

there are a few website in the internet.

Is like, Stepstone,

and there is website called indeed.

There is another website, I don't remember the name.

There are also local websites.

Where you can. What happened with the light?

So anyway.

You just type in your,

specifications. Is this the right word?

And then you just check, like,

for jobs and then u have,

your Cv your resume

your portfolio and your cover letter.

You send it to them.

And then you start to wait. What happened?

Most of my job

application,

I sendet to Germany because

I born in Germany and I know the

better then the english language.

and

Well to be honest

I sent around 100 job,

applications to companies,

based in the Germany. South, west or what ever.

Only around 35,

responded to my.

But

The reply was like,

Sorry the place is,

is hold already and,

we are sorry. So,

Around %40 they just rejected.

There is zero,

zero communication it is just a mail

sent automatically and saying,

''ihre Bewerbung ist

nicht nutzbar.'' It's like your

application doesn't mend,

to us anything, like that.

Then I started to sent job applications ,

to companies which are based in the Us.

Especially you know mosaic art is

really rising in the Us.

I know that because, this is,

actually a mosaic art and stencil art channel.

And I'm sorry for making, putting

also this videos, for uploading

this job searching journey videos,

on this channel too. But I believe that this is also,

a part of this mosaic. So, the Us,

One company in the Us,

responded to my job application immediately .

Like, after 2 hours.

The main problem was if you are,

not living in that country yet,

then your job application will probably

not excepted.

And they also refused to,

making a skype interview.

I don't know why.

But I have some

ideas about that.

Anyway we will talk about that later on.

So it was amazing, it was a

super cool company and they respond

immediately and I was so excited.

Even that was amazing. I didn't got

the job. I don't have the job but it was amazing.

I sent them my appreciation .

I've said that I was glad

for their reply. And they said,

please let us know when you are

settled is this the right word?

In the country in the Us and come

over to fill up the paper work.

But I can't take the risk. I can't take 3 people,

me wife and little daughter to

go to the Unites states and what

happened if they say ''we are sorry but we have one''.

Anyway, so:

The Us is cool. They are responding.

Somehow they are getting in communication.

They are creating a communication between.

and so the Us people are amazing

so the Us people are amazing in that direction.

They are creating kind of a communication.

Thats cool. The German was like,

acting like dead. You know they was like, no never had your...

We never received any application from you.

This how they acting. But the Us people are

more kind than the German people,

when it comes to looking for job as an

artist.

It's different. And 2 days ago,

I started to sent,

to make a research

in the Uk. And

one of my friend, I don't want to say her name right now. I don't

have any permission for that. She told me that, here

is a company. I don't want to say the name.

And you should talk to them. I sent

them a e-mail. They was actually not looking,

for anyone. So there was no job,

to make an application at that ,

specific company. But I sent them my,

my resume and a piece of my portfolio,

a part of it. They respond immediately.

Like in 1 hour and,

it is always the same problem.

I believe, it is better to,

move first in that foreign country.

Which is foreign now? me or the country

And then starting a job research.

But the point is you can't.

Everyone has an amount of money on his bank for sure.

But it is to risky especially if you have a baby with you.

Another point why to move out?

I'm not fleeing. Is this the right word?

I' not running away from this country right now,

where I'm. It is about,

when you feel that your artistic career is done.

When you are start pushing,

the limits, pushing boundaries? how you call that?

In that specific country.

I'm not talking about the city.

Than. Every artist has does this before.

Does this in the history.

Did this in the history. So they are looking for a country where

they can bring is art one step further.

Somehow. This is why we are

in this position right now.

So the Uk people are ,

quite nice as the,

Us people. And they are also,

responding very quickly. And

I have 3

very you know nice options.

Were I sent my

cv and resume and stuff my portfolio.

And one of them is,

there are looking for someone who is

self employed very a very long time. It is a very huge,

art studio,

art event center, I even don't know how to call it.

They are looking for someone who can organize everything.

You know, for artists and material and stuff.

Thşs is what I'm doing actually for 16 years.

So it is not a big deal.

But it is always a challenge. I know I can handle that.

So I still don't have a responds from them.

But I'M waiting and I'm very excited about.

And another one is,

okay let's keep it secret, I wont talk much right now.

So. German!

Germany is a very cool country. I grew up there.

I was 11 years old when we left Germany.

I know the culture.

I know the german language well but,

They don't give a shit. They don't give a shit.

They just, there are focused on,

education thing. You know.

And they act like everyone who has

graduated from an art school is an artist already.

Sorry Germany, but they are not.

Us? Us is amazing. People are so

warm and you can feel it.

You are almost feel like that you are sitting,

with them in a room and interviewing for the job.

And I always loved to sent,

job applications to companies which

are located in the Us.

The Uk? Uk is also. A bit like,

a bit of a distance. But it is cool.

It is cool. Uk people are also quite warm.

So, I'll continue to sent job applications,

to the Us but mostly,

I will sent my applications to the Uk companies.

Because we are holding the...

I'm eligible to work in Eu-

countries. So the Us could be

a bit difficult. I'll need some special visas.

Which is a lot of official work

If you know what I mean. Okay I just

wanted to give you this update. It's been 63 days.

And I've still nothing.

It is also good to have the this video on this channel.

To show, it is like

Okay we talk about this another time.

Cool

It is 10

10 in the morning.

Here in Izmir we have a nice weather.

The weather is cool. I mean

it is not hot and it is not cold.

So I just wanted to make this recording.

And I'll now search for jobs in the Uk.

Mostly in the Uk.

And in the Us in the same time.

Cuz mosaic art is rising in the Us.

And I believe that Uk must

accelerate his you know.

This field a little bit. We have to push a bit.

Mosaic art in the Uk.

I'm talking like I mean who I'm to talk about like that?

But this what I can see very clearly.

So. Okay.

We see...

We see... Take care. BB

Mission Inspiration Art Journal flip through - Duration: 7:31.

hi welcome to the Shelley Studio and my mission inspiration art journal flip

through so this one I feel is full see it's bulging and so it's done and I've

started a new one the original look was just a magazine like this one travel a

travel brochure basically that I started journaling that's the one my latest one

and the first one in that book so I figured it was time to show this so I

started it at January 2016 and this cover isn't one of the prompts it was

just what I wanted to do so I'm just going to talk about it and flip pages so

this was January 16th the first one I did um but if you don't know what it is

mission inspiration is an art journal group created by Mike Deakin where you

get prompts and you have to follow them in order and then and see if you can

come up with some artwork like I finished piece this was not my favorite

um I like this one though and this one's April 2017 they're not in

order because if you did one page right after the next the magazine you're using

will be yeah the back of the spine will get all distorted as you see it's a

little bit distorted there and the back started to split but um I kind of

flipped back and forth and did it like that and try to keep it all even to try

and avoid that problem so anyway um if you want to join the mission inspiration

group and you're not a member of it already I will put a link in the

description box below so that you can try it out

and this is like two and a half years worth of art journal pages

so there's quite a few mm I will try to link I have a playlist it has mine it

has a few other people's and a few have Mike deacons not very many um two into

the description box or maybe at the end so that you can go to the playlist and

if you see one you want to see how it was created

you can go there and look except for this one this one and the footage is

lost was lost I do do a page similar but not quite like this with other scraps of

the same kind but yeah that that footage was lost some of them they were real

stretches trying it a cohesive sort of story at it and of course you know

that's a December one that's probably the first one so that's probably

December 2016 I did not sign and date them all I needed to at least date them

alright this one's fairly recent I love the crackles on here mmm

yes and I'm getting over a cold sorry I sound funny and like a lot of pages I

kind of painted the backside just to kind of get rid of the magazine but I

didn't there because I don't know if you can see that look at the pattern from

the crackle on the other side and some of the pages I glued together but I got

tired of doing that to make them stronger I just decided me most the time

I was putting something on there collaging or whatever so like this one I

don't think this is a double glued page but I've got like texture paste on there

and it's it's thick and this is an early one yeah February 2016 and that one was

hard I just like what am I gonna get for a focal so um this was before I think

before they had word prompts did they have word prompts in the beginning so I

just put what you're gonna do with that duck and cut out a duck foot mana page

I get carried away with all the different prompts and make backgrounds

and then I'm like I need a focal image why am I sitting on that one I don't

like that one very well that's my sting Punk attempt okay and another one I was

September 2017 I don't care for that one much either and these are real leaves

that was one of the prompts was probably did I use something from nature or I

can't remember and then I love this one but it's hard to go wrong when you're

like collaging pretty images on there you know that's not hard

alright okay and then this one this was a fun one and there's like there's a

secret message in there but it is like glued man you have to destroy the page

to get to that mmm none of a night let's just fund my friends a fan of elephants

is her favorite animal so that one says anything unrelated to elephants is

irrelevant

okay

and I actually like this one too I just love the effect of that paint I think it

was a high-flow paint I'm not positive but I really like the color there and

another Christmas one did I date this one oh yeah this was Christmas 2017 that

makes sense because there's 2016 2017 we haven't had this Christmas yet hmm

excuse my coughing oh no I just haven't gotten around to covering that beige I

think I got tired of painting the back sides now it has a little bit but not

enough to cover it I thought about um this and I just like the image so I'm

not gonna cover it I thought about journaling on the

opposite side but then it would get so big and they'd start to stick together

and this way they don't really stick together and then my last one in this

book and this one was just a couple months ago I think May or June not

positive that I really liked that one I'm at the end he started now he's has

color prompts and word prompts and less I think there were 10 prompts to begin

with now there's like eight prompts so um yeah it's giving it a little variety

like I said I'll put the link in the description box below I hope you liked

seeing my crazy mission inspiration our journal and if you did like it please

hit like feel free to share comment and if you'd like to see more from me please

subscribe thanks for watching

This is My 60 - Small Mechanical Keyboards (#17) - Duration: 2:56.

No mean stuff in the comments, please;

Chipotle Mukbang WITH A BABY! - Duration: 20:42.

[music]

Hello! Welcome back.

Today, what are we doing?

Eating! Mukbang!

and we're talking.

Mikko's gonna help?

Yeah?

Guess he's busy.

Well, anyway...

Today we're going to do a Chipotle mukbang.

I have a bowl. He has some of mine and Jenna has a burrito.

Um, and we had chips too.

And I have salsa, medium salsa.

I'm gonna set a timer for 20 minutes and then we'll be done.

He'll probably be done before that.

So let's set the timer.

Alright, so.. give me the chips.

Ugh... yeah!

The important part.

yeah

So...

I thought maybe...

we could talk about...

let's talk about...

moving house, the process, maybe some...

tips and horrible things.

Do you want to explain a little bit while I get set up with my food?

Ok, perfect.

Well, I'd say back in September,

we were just kind of casually looking for houses.

Nothing too serious, but then

we were just looking at the different areas

and seeing what type of pricing and houses they had.

Looking in different neighborhoods to see what areas we'd like to live in.

Then it just happened after a few houses,

we saw one house we really liked.

Good area, good price and I really like it and it was pretty close to work.

It's kind of in town I guess you'd say.

Jill really liked it. I really like it.

I thought well, it's the right house, so why not go for it.

So we put in an offer,

went through the negotiation process and that was accepted.

So that means we needed to sell our house.

So we put it on to the market

and I would say in about 2 weeks...

About a week and a half-ish. ...about that

we got an offer and accepted it. It was a good offer.

But, I would say the most stressful part is

we have the house we're buying and selling

and all the paperwork that goes with that.

There was a lot of complications with the mortgage process.

Because of me. Yeah

So it's been quite a bit.

Now, pretty much, we've signed all our paperwork.

We're just waiting for someone else to do their part

and try and figure out what our closing date is going to be.

Really I guess we can give you tips about buying and selling a house.

One thing I can say about selling a house, if you're buying and selling,

is if you're selling your house, make sure and do as many renovations as possible before.

Which I know is kind of common sense,

It's so much easier to sell a house if it looks really nice

and there's no issues and that type of thing.

I mean even if you think people would think... if there's some old carpet

or I don't know. There some issue with old cabinets,

you'd think it be okay, but people want everything to look so pristine and nice.

It's just easier if you know ahead of time.

Try to do smaller renovations over time

and it makes it a lot easier to sell.

The one thing for buying a house, I would say is

if you have really any type of job,

but if you're going to be changing your job... like for example.

I was working at at university before

and this past May I decided to quit that job

and do freelance work.

I had worked freelance for a long time, but not as much

because obviously I was working at the university full-time.

So I didn't really need to do much freelance work

and I didn't a lot of my overtime at the university.

I didn't realize that would cause mortgage problems cause they wouldn't count my income

cause it wasn't "stable".

So I would say if you want to purchase a house, make sure

you have at least two years stable income from that job

or quit your job after you buy the house

and then switch your job then.

Just don't do anything at least two years beforehand

if you know what I mean. It's just been really hard for us.

[music]

Be really diligent about getting on people. Be aggressive!

Yeah, be aggressive because

I feel everything's been put off again and again

if I don't get on people.

For example, a recent thing that's happened is

we're still waiting for our closing date.

I've been contacting the lawyer,

seeing if it's getting close to a closing date

because we should have had a quick closing, 30 to 45 days.

It's not happening and she had said...

"No, we still need all of these things."

I was really confused cause I thought

it had already been taken care of.

We went back and forth (emailing) and she called me

and said "you need this and this and this from the buyer",

and "I need these thing from..." us two, like us.

I was like "those have already been taken care of."

Our mortgage person said they already sent a commitment letter.

Said he has sent it last week before I had spoken to her (lawyer).

She said...

...she said, "no I didn't get anything".

Which I thought was weird

I said two or three times on the phone.

Before we ended the call I said "I just want to make sure you need this."

"It's really odd cause I'm sure he had sent it."

She said "Oh, let me look at my email..."

"Oh yes, we already got it last week."

She was on vacation and no one informed her they had gotten it.

That was another delay of at least a couple days.

Again, I want to emphasize, if your buying a house, selling a house, whatever,

make sure you are on top of everything

and you know everything you need to do

and you're telling people and constantly asking people.

everyday, every few days.

Doesn't matter if they think you're annoying or not cause it's really necessary.

Yeah, and also, another thing is

You think it's gonna be a quick closing so we had started packing.

95% of what we have here is packed.

Except for the things we use on a daily basis.

We are really annoyed cause now there's all these boxes lying around and

not much we can do.

Before we had them all piled around

but Jill went ahead and reorganized everything.

So it looks better and more against the wall and stacked up

but it's a little bit more roomy.

But still they're just sitting there and there's nothing we can do.

We were thinking we'd get a closing and it's just not happening.

We're a little bit in limbo right now.

We're supposed to be closing and then hopefully we can move

but right now we're stuck and it's annoying.

Yeah, I was just really disappointed.

Most of the time when you buy a house,

it ends up being a long process.

For example,

we had put in an offer on the house we're buying

and then we got an offer for this house and it was approved.

Then for the buyers for this house

there were a few repairs that needed to be done to the house

for their mortgage to get approved.

So our realtor informed us

it was about 2 weeks ago, saying

"hey they're coming on Sunday to do the repairs."

I said do you know how quick after that closing happens?

She said "oh maybe 2 weeks or something like that."

I said should I be packing? She said yes pack everything you can!

Which is why we packed everything.

I packed as much as I could for a good week.

Day and night, as much as I could.

It was crazy!

Now it's been a few weeks of just nothing.

(Mikko farts)

You I just... I didn't have to... Mikko: (fart) (fart)

You probably won't here that cause I'm gonna cover it,

but he just had a huge fart.

(laughs) Yay!

Yay beans!

Oh thank... oh thank you.

Thank you!

Making some art? Thank you

Oh beautiful!

Anyway....

really I didn't need to pack at that crazy of a speed.

I say once you actually have a closing date,

then go ahead and start packing a bunch.

I mean you can pack a few things here and there over time,

but do not hurry until you actually have a closing date.

Cause it's been crazy sitting in this house and

yeah... that!

Yes... okay.. thank you..

#MomLife, yeah.

He wants to share his food. Oh thanks.

That's a lot.

Well guess I'm gonna have to change my clothes.. oh yeah.

That over there is one of the cats.

So... other than the house...

things going on with us, you'll probably see in a vlog

maybe next week. I'm gonna try and do the weekly vlogs again.

Well, we already went out for Halloween if you want to explain about that.

Today was our first family outing for Halloween kind of.

It was kind of lame, but it was still fun.

It was cold and rainy and we just went around to

a few different stores and places.

Which honestly, he's a baby and doesn't need candy and all that.

That's for us!

Yeah, thanks! Omm.

This little guy.... (Mikko farts).

(laughs)

He just farted again.

I'm gonna have to leave that in just for you guys.

You want to explain about your first Halloween with him?

Well what happened was... well hold on.

Me and a couple co-workers and their kids,

who.. well they're Deaf and hearing parents.

We got together with all the KODA/CODA kids

and went over to a local Wegmans store.

They had a trick or treat for kids.

You could come in and they had little activities set up.

Thought why not bring him.

Jill had to work so I just took him.

She brought him to work and then we went back home

Really quickly got him dressed, fed, and all of that.

Then went out to the store and it was PACKED!

I went in and it was nice because

you went around the store and they had a path you followed.

There was some candy along the way.

They had different games but he was too young to play in any of those

so I skipped a lot of then and just got the candy.

Of course people were like "he's so cute!" So I showed him around.

One nice thing was at the end they had apple cider you could drink.

He seemed interested so I have him a little bit in a cup.

He was actually able to drink cider from the cup.

So he's learning really quickly. That was cool.

Then we went upstairs

and they had all the little CODA kids that got together and were playing around.

He saw his best friend.

We had a really good time.

Did you have fun?

My favorite part is she sent me a picture of him with you know,

all of the little CODA kids.

It's funny because our regular babysitter we have every once and a while,

she had her kids there.... and yes His best friend.

The younger one who's almost 2 now, kind of,

is his best friend.

But the older kid, how old is he?

He's gonna be 4 He's gonna be 4...

and apparently he did not want to wear a costume.

Cause she sent me saying, "oh a cute pumpkin and a candy cane."

I was thinking why did he decide to be a candy cane?

This was before I saw the picture, she had just text me.

Apparently, like I said, he refused to put on a costume,

so his moms tricked him and put him in his "pajamas"

which were stripped like a candy cane. Oh my gosh it was so cute!

He was like "I don't want to!"

But they fooled him. Yeah!

He was just looking around playing with the CODA kids.

Also today he refused to keep part of his costume on.

I don't know if we explained that, but he was suppose to be a pineapple.

However, well... really the way you could recognize it is

is through the hat part cause it has the little green spikes.

But he refused to keep it on. He kept flinging it off.

So pretty much he just had a yellow vest like a chicken or something.

Then when we went out it was really cold so we had to double layer him.

So we put him into this shirt. The one under it is white.

Then we gave him a hat, which we had a different winter hat for him,

but he refused to keep it on.

He kept taking it off. So I gave him my hat which was a stretchy type.

It was black. So he had a black hat an almost looked like a bumblebee.

His costume kind of evolved. Which it worked! Yeah which is fine.

Hello! Mikko

Mikko

He's smearing art on the wall.

Yummy!

Making more art.

I was also thinking about this mukbang... mukbang (trying to pronounce right).

I was thinking about doing it monthly and having different topics.

Like this one is a random one

cause we're just trying to set up a Youtube schedule.

Hopefully we can let you know when we'll be posting more.

I'm thinking Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

But I think we want to do this at least once a month.

Sit down, answer some of your questions.

The next month I think I want to do something related to parenting.

We sign parenting like this.

Which we can explain why we sign parenting that way

instead of the other way in the next mukbang.

If you guys have any questions relating to parenting with us

we will also post on social media soon asking you guys.

But if you guys have any questions related to parents, parenting,

leave it as a comment down below.

I'm gonna collect them all for the next one which will probably be

next month... well this one might actually be at the beginning of November.

I don't know when this is gonna post.

But it should usually be the last week of November.

That's when we'll do our next mukbang.

So let me know what are your questions related to that and... what are you doing?

Yeah, I'm a mess.

Why are you such a mess?

Learn how to eat properly.

I don't know. I'm just a mess. Look at me.

Well, anyway...

Gonna get ready to move house soon and

seems like we're starting over again.

Even though we're not changing our whole life like jobs or anything.

But still, it's gonna be in a different area,

it's gonna be a different way of life I guess.

I don't know. It's just like we're starting over, especially because

for him we're gonna be transitioning him over to

a Montessori method for teaching, parenting, that sort of stuff.

We're gonna be getting rid of his crib soon.

He'll almost be 10 months, so we're gonna get rid of his crib

and getting a floor bed. Which I'll explain all about that

and show you videos and everything.

But that should be interesting. We'll see how that goes and if it works.

So excited!

Um, let me think. What else?

Oh...

she is going to be leaving me for six days soon.

Yeah, business, business, business trip.

Want to explain what you're doing? Much as you can.

I have to go to California for a conference.

I have to do a presentation that was accepted for a pretty big conference.

So I'll be going to California for six days or so.

Saturday to Thursday, so I guess that's six days.

So yeah, it's gonna be a big one.

I'm actually excited and looking forward to that trip.

But I will miss them.

Well I'm assuming we'll have not moved by that time.

Just because...

cause that's what... 2 weeks? Yeah that's about 2 weeks away.

I really really doubt the house closing is gonna happen before that.

Which makes me sad cause I really wanted to move

before it starts snowing and everything.

Which could happen.

Not that I think, but I know we are gonna be using a moving company.

More than willing to pay for that.

Cause the last couple of times we've moved have been horrible.

We can explain all about that soon.

Maybe in an upcoming video story time.

Blocking! Yeah, hello!

Move!

Like I said, we'll explain all about that later.

But I'm telling you, if you're buying a house

and you're moving and you have, you know,

a decent amount of stuff in your house,

or apartment or whatever,

just pay for a moving company.

I'm telling you, it will be worth it.

I mean we haven't actually tried it before,

but I know it's GOING TO be worth it.

It will.

Because we have so many things left

and with stairs and heavy stuff

and it's an all day thing and the two of us are old.

We are old now.

We just can't be moving things like that. We're just too old.

(laughs)

But, yeah.

Well I think that's it.

Mikko's done eating so I think we will end it for today.

Hopefully you enjoyed watching us and mostly him eat the whole time.

and fart

..and fart and make art on me

and you enjoyed the chat. Just remember,

leave a comment to let us know

what questions you have related to parents, parenting,

life.. that sort of category.

Alright thanks so much for watching. See you in the next video. Bye!

Say bye bye!

Bye

Rudimental - Walk Alone (ft. Tom Walker) (Lyrics) - Duration: 3:28.

Showed up at the right time In a broke down limousine

All you had was red lights I went and turned them all to green

I found you in the landslide And pulled you out again

The hardest conversations Are the ones you never had

Well you don't have to say it 'Cause you know I understand

Never been the bravest But if you need a hand

I got two, baby If you're in trouble I got you, baby

Nothing that I wouldn't do, baby And you'll know, you'll know

That I am a rock, I am a stone I'll be your strength, I'll be your home

And you may walk a lonely road But you will never walk, walk, walk alone

You will never walk, walk, walk alone You will never walk, walk, walk alone, oh, woah

I don't have the answers But I can listen for a while

Might not understand it But I can try to make you smile

When you're in a black place And need a shoulder you can cry on

I got two, baby If you're in trouble I got you, baby

Nothing that I wouldn't do, baby And you'll know, you'll know

That I am a rock, I am a stone (Oh, I am a stone)

I'll be your strength, I'll be your home (Oh, I'll be your home)

And you may walk a lonely road

But you will never walk, walk, walk alone You will never walk, walk, walk alone

You will never walk, walk, walk alone, oh, woah

You know, you know I am a rock, I am a stone

I'll be your strength, I'll be your home

And you may walk a lonely road

But you will never walk, walk, walk alone You will never walk, walk, walk alone

You will never walk, walk, walk alone, oh, woah

'Cause I am a rock, I am a stone, oh And I'll be your strength, I'll be your home

And you may walk a lonely road But you will never walk, walk, walk alone

Comment "Music is the answer" if you made it this far!

Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho yelled THIS at players at Bournemouth... they ignored him - Duration: 2:36.

According to BT Sport's sideline reporter Des Kelly, Mourinho yelled at his players after they appeared well off the pace early on

But it didn't seem to sink in as Callum Wilson netted an opener to put Bournemouth 1-0 up

Kelly tweeted: "Jose Mourinho seemed to yell "Wake Up!" on the touchline. It didn't work

Bournemouth catch United cold to take the lead. #BOUMUN 1-0. Live on @btsport now

" Mourinho cut a picture of negativity in the dugout as he sat with his arms crossed in front of his chest as his team misfired

They managed to equalise before half-time through Anthony Martial but the display left Kelly's BT Sport colleague Paul Scholes less than impressed

"Anywhere near the back four, the back four look nervous wrecks," he said at half-time

"Chris has committed himself there and he just couldn't move his feet. What he was thinking I don't know

For the goal, Lewis Cook has done really well to pick out the pass. "Where Lindelof, Smalling and Ashley Young have gone, I don't know

It's a simple tap-in.   "I don't think the problem is going forward. The problem is at the back

"I expect more of the same in the second half. This back four looks nervous and has been really poor

" Fellow pundit Harry Redknapp agreed and said: "The defending was horrendous, they've let people run off them

"They look short of people who want to run back when they lose the ball. They just don't cover

It was a really poor first half."

Dark Secrets The Video Game Industry Tried To Hide - Duration: 8:20.

Video game companies have more to worry about than simply making great games: They have

reputations to protect.

They have annual budgets to meet and shareholders and executives to please.

They have legions of die-hard fans, many of whom have high expectations and unrealistic

demands.

It's a lot to manage.

So, sometimes, with all that pressure on their shoulders, the brains behind your favorite

games do things that are pretty shady.

From scummy treatment of employees that borders on abuse to the painful truth behind chronic

pre-ordering, these are some of the darkest secrets the video game industry has tried

to hide.

Red Dead Ring-demption

What happens when you design the interior of a console around its exterior, instead

of the other way around?

Well, for one thing, it just doesn't work.

Microsoft learned this the hard way.

The issue became known as the Red Ring of Death in honor of the three red lights that'd

appear around your console's power button before it just… stopped working.

Third-party estimates say that the Red Ring of Death hit 54.2% of all Xbox 360 owners,

which was apparently caused by overheating brought on by the Xbox 360's stylish but ultimately

ill-advised design.

Here's the thing, though: as reports of dying consoles began to flood the internet, Microsoft

denied that anything was wrong.

A year and a half later, the company still refused to comment on the issue.

Microsoft eventually changed its tune and instituted a warranty-extension that cost

a staggering one billion dollars, while 2010's Xbox 360 Slim put the Red Ring of Death to

bed permanently.

But the company still hasn't released official statistics on how many Xbox 360s failed.

Say it ain't so, Mario!

Ah, good old Nintendo, home to video gaming's most iconic characters, the source of so many

happy childhood memories, and chronic price-fixer.

Wait, what?

Oh, that's right: underneath Nintendo's bubbly, family-friendly public image lurks a company

that'll do anything to stifle the competition, even if it means violating antitrust laws

in the process.

In a price-fixing scheme, companies that'd normally compete with one another team up

to keep product prices artificially high, reeling in a little bit more money for everyone.

In 1991, the Federal Trade Commission said that Nintendo was breaking the law by making

retailers sell the original Nintendo Entertainment System for $99.95 for a fixed 19-month period.

Nintendo decided to settle rather than fight the charges, and agreed to pay $25 million

in rebates to affected customers as well as another $4.75 million in additional costs.

Sadly, Nintendo didn't learn its lesson, and the company was hit with price-fixing charges

again in 2002.

This time, authorities accused Nintendo of keeping its products, including the Nintendo

64 and the Game Boy Pocket, from crossing national borders, which prevented customers

in certain EU countries from getting the best possible prices.

A roughly $141 million fine followed, although not before Nintendo's European distribution

partner tried to downplay the severity of the crime while working with EU authorities.

The fine was later reduced, thanks to Nintendo's belated cooperation.

Killer crunch

Despite what you might've heard, making video games isn't a glamorous job.

Game developers work hard to deliver functional, fun games by strict deadlines.

That's not easy, and it's no wonder that talented people are leaving the industry in droves.

And yet, even in an industry as taxing as gaming, "crunch" is a special kind of hell.

As games near their release dates, it's standard practice for studios to go into overdrive,

forcing employees to work inordinately long hours in order to see their titles reach completion.

We're talking up to 80-hour work weeks.

Typically, developers aren't paid overtime for the extra work.

Crunch can ruin people's health and decimate their personal relationships.

It sucks, it drives good people away, and it may not even help the games all that much.

After all, when you're that tired, you tend to make lots of mistakes.

All that, and we probably wouldn't even know just how bad it'd be if one developer's pissed-off

wife hadn't come forward.

In 2004, a LiveJournal post by "ea_spouse" shed new light on the video game industry's

abusive tendencies and brought the rigors of crunch into the open.

A decade and a half later, things are still getting better, but there's still a long,

long way to go.

"If you can't get the work done, then the past two years are basically worth nothing.

No pressure."

Stick to the script

Every year, the Electronic Entertainment Expo, or, E3, hits the Los Angeles Convention Center

and gets fans' hearts all a-flutter by showing off the latest, greatest video game trailers,

with a few live demos thrown in for good measure.

That's the idea, anyway.

It turns out that, in reality, a lot of those glossy, hands-on demos that you see during

E3's big press events are totally scripted.

As Kotaku reports, game publishers often put together special E3-exclusive demos that show

what the game should look like, not what it actually does look like.

In extreme cases, "live" demos aren't live at all.

In some cases, people on stage simply hold controllers and pretend to play while pre-recorded

video unfurls on the screen behind them.

That leads to demos that don't always reflect the finished game.

BioShock: Infinite's E3 demo promised a game that's much more open-ended than the final

product, and the less said about Aliens: Colonial Marines, the better.

It's easy to understand why companies do this, of course.

E3 is first and foremost a marketing event, and it's embarrassing when things go wrong.

Still, the practice is misleading… at best.

The best reviews that money can buy

According to market research firm Superdata, online videos about games are a $3.8 billion

industry that reaches over 468 million people annually.

That's a lot of people, and some game companies will do anything to get their attention, including

paying for positive coverage.

Now, there's nothing wrong with sponsored content, as long as it's labeled as such.

But not letting your audience know that you've received money to promote a product?

According to the Federal Trade Commission, that's straight-up illegal.

That's why fans got into such a tizzy when they learned that Machinima, a popular gaming

media company, gave creators bonuses if they posted positive videos about the then-upcoming

Xbox One.

Microsoft, of course, claims that it wasn't aware of the specifics of what Machinima was

doing, and promptly terminated the relationship.

Warner Bros., on the other hand, doesn't have the same excuse.

In 2016, the FTC revealed that Warner Bros. had shelled out thousands of dollars to video

creators, including big names like PewDiePie, to promote Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.

Some, including PewDiePie, added a disclaimer to their videos.

Many others, however, did not.

That's not fair to viewers, who often take YouTubers at their word, so it's a good thing

that the FTC said something.

We just hope that publishers have learned their lesson.

Pre-order perils

Okay, so you're excited about that big, shiny new game coming out.

Just walk into your local video game shop the day it comes out and buy it.

While pre-orders made sense back in the day, when some of the hottest games on the market

shipped in limited supplies, those days are long gone for all but the most niche of titles.

In fact, pre-ordering tends to hurt more than it helps, unless, of course, you happen to

be GameStop or the publisher.

Those guys make out like bandits.

When you fork over a few bucks to pre-order a game, you're not just giving blood-sucking

corporations a short-term loan for no good reason.

You're giving them valuable data about your purchasing habits for no extra charge.

You're also committing to a purchase before you know whether or not a game is any good.

Of course, publishers continue to do everything they can to get you locked-in early, including

tacking on increasingly ridiculous pre-order bonuses and scattering exclusive add-ons among

the major retailers.

Don't fall for it.

Disband the boy's club

While women make up roughly half of the game-playing population, the industry is still overwhelmingly

male.

And unfortunately, it's got a very real harassment problem, one that publishers and

developers continue to deny.

For example, when not one but three separate outlets conducted investigations into Quantic

Dream, the studio behind Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human, they found "a toxic corporate

culture" in which some employees stuck their co-workers' faces into sexist, racist, and

otherwise inappropriate images, and where the studio's co-head allegedly kissed female

employees without their consent.

Or, consider that, in 2017, a Naughty Dog level designer accused a team lead of

harassment.

When he reported the abuse to Sony's human resources department, the man claims that

he was fired and offered $20,000 to stay quiet.

The more you dig, the worse things start to look.

Many victims of sexual harassment don't come forward at all, fearing that HR departments

will dismiss the claims, or, in some cases, even defend the alleged abusers, that it'll

damage their careers, and that they'll invite further abuse from internet trolls.

Sexual harassment is a problem that the video game industry needs to address, but as long

as studios keep denying the problem, it's hard to imagine things getting much better.

The Untold Truth Of Queen - Duration: 4:42.

Queen is one of those bands that can be easy to overlook.

They're the kind of band you take for granted, because you can't remember a time when they

weren't there - so there's often a lot that most people don't know about them.

With that in mind, here's a deep-dive into one of history's most ubiquitous rock'n'roll

acts.

Freddie's beginnings

Shocking though it might be, Freddie Mercury wasn't the given name of Queen's frontman.

He was actually born into a devout Zoroastrian family to parents from India.

His birth name?

Farrokh Bulsara.

He was actually born in Zanzibar but spent a good chunk of his childhood at a private

school in India, where he started going by Freddie.

"I'll always walk around like a Persian popinjay.

And no one's gonna stop me, honey."

However, he didn't actually change his last name until around the time that Queen was

founded.

Luckily, his chosen moniker tends to roll off the tongue a little easier than the one

he was born with.

Royal start

Although their name is one of the most famous in rock history, Queen wasn't always called

Queen.

In their pupal state, when the band consisted of Brian May, Roger Taylor and Tim Staffell,

it was actually known as Smile.

In 1970, however, Staffell left the group to join another band, the delightfully-named

Humpy Bong, and Smile's remaining members took on one of their fans as lead singer,

leading to a name-change in the process.

That fan was one Farrokh Bulsara and their new name was 'Queen'.

Feeling the pressure

"Under Pressure" was the result of a winning combination of David Bowie, hard drugs, and

failure.

In July 1981, Bowie went into the studio to record backup vocals for a Queen song called

"Cool Cat."

Unable to get that particular song to work and despondent at their lack of success, Queen

and Bowie fell into their back-up plan: drinking wine and doing cocaine.

"Not a good thing to say in this country.

Sorry, I didn't say that."

As the evening progressed, something that could generously be referred to as 'creativity'

began to take hold.

Queen and Bowie started messing around with a completely different song, written by Queen's

drummer Roger Taylor and tentatively titled "Feel Like."

In a burst of creative hedonism, the song metamorphosed into something amazing.

The bass line came together, the duet was improvised, and "Under Pressure" as we know

it was born.

A kind of science

Brian May might not necessarily be a household name, but you'd struggle to find someone who

isn't familiar with his work.

As guitarist for Queen, he wrote "Brighton Rock," "Fat Bottomed Girls," and "We Will

Rock You."

That would be more than enough accomplishments for most people, but, as the years grew on,

he just kept on going.

May had dropped out of college back in the '70s to pursue a career in music.

Although that panned out a little more than alright, he nonetheless decided to go back

to school over 30 years later to wrap up his doctoral thesis in astrophysics.

Since then, he's worked with NASA on a number of projects and even has an asteroid named

after him.

Amped up

Queen's bassist John Deacon has been a lot of things.

On Queen's first album, for example, he was 'Deacon John', because the other band

members thought it sounded more interesting.

He's also a trained electronics engineer, and without him, Queen wouldn't sound the

way they do.

Deacon was the creator of the legendary Deacy Amp, the sound system that gave Queen their

trademark orchestral tones.

It's a piece of equipment that enthusiasts and engineers spent years trying to replicate,

but with limited success.

It wasn't until 2008, when a group of engineers tore the original machine apart, that they

managed to find some semblance of an understanding of its inner workings.

Even more impressively, Deacon created the original Deacy Amp out of pieces he found

in the trash.

Bohemian Rhapsody

With all of the glamour, fame and jet-setting hedonism that Queen enjoyed throughout their

career, it doesn't seem like much of a surprise that the band's story has been turned into

a movie.

But it's been a long road to getting a Queen movie made.

The first shot at one was announced in 2010, with Sacha Baron Cohen attached to play Freddie

Mercury.

Three years later, and with nothing filmed, Cohen left the project, citing a number of

reasons for exiting the film, the most crucial being creative differences with the surviving

band members.

Cohen had wanted to make a gritty, adult-oriented look at the life and death of Freddie Mercury,

while Brian May and Roger Taylor instead wanted a more family-friendly vibe, with half the

movie focused on how Queen had kept going after Mercury's death.

From there, the project continued to hit further speed bumps, burning through actors and directors

before Rami Malek was eventually confirmed as the star and Bryan Singer came in to direct.

"Can you go a bit higher?"

"If I go any higher only dogs will hear me."

"Try."

After one last controversy, the firing of Singer and his replacement by Dexter Fletcher,

Bohemian Rhapsody finally secured a November 2018 release.

First Impressions: Slab Internal Wiki - Duration: 11:22.

Hello everyone and welcome back to another video in today's video

We're reviewing slab which is an internal wiki tool the teams can use to coordinate their team knowledge

Everything from employee onboarding all the way to FAQs and information like that

So we're going to be reviewing that one in today's video. So let's jump in

Hello guys, welcome to this video today we are reviewing slab

We have it in front of us here for those who are brand new to this channel. My name is Francesco

I'll be taking you through this application today

the main reason I've been exploring internal wiki's a lot recently is

Because of the popularity of an application called notion

So in today's video we're looking at another resource that claims to be a useful wiki resource

So I've already create an account. You can access it from slab comm you can go to

Your team once you create an account

And I've created one for the key productive team now slab is really simple

It claims to be a long-term memory for your team. So

It's essentially trying to coordinate

All of the wiki's documents that you have and notes

Into one space so that whether they're you're a new employee or an older employee and you need to know a bit of information

whether it's like how you coordinate the blog or

what you need to do when you're setting up your new PC for the company that

is all in one place for people to find now there are a couple of

alternatives to these like wikis like slim wiki I know of

coda is obviously becoming more popular and does a few more additional features as

Well as notion and I will be reviewing a couple more like this application called outline, etc

So guys, let's jump in this application can be used for pretty much anything

I'm gonna be demoing with the features today giving you the pricing and giving you general opinion of the application

So as we can see this is so I'm at the front of us on this left-hand panel

We have the basically designed bar. You can actually find everything you need to know in terms of navigation

you've got home home will take you to this page here so that you can

All of the recently viewed features as well as any favorites that you've saved you can also access drafts here two

Drafts are when you're creating a post or a wiki inside of here and you're yet to publish it

You can pretty much go in there and continue to draft it. Now. You've also got favorites here

And once you save those favorites using the star option, you can access them from here

So that's could be your favorite posts. Then you've got something called topics

You can create a new topic

But let me just click show all because that will demonstrate what it can look like

You can create almost a structure to everything

So for example like in this demonstration

If you had a company you could have their roadmap here the vision the mission ending onboarding documents any temper

That's templates are pre created and any department that all of these documents relate to so

It's quite a nice experience in terms of finding anything. You need to know

so this can be really accessible now if you want to hide away that navigation bar when you're inside of a

Wiki then you can do just by tapping that there now you have got a search bar on there on the top

I will demonstrate some of the integrations that you can get a bit later, but let's just dive into an example

so for example

if I clicked on company, I would basically be met by this page and what you have when you click inside of a topic is

You have all of the posts that are relevant to it

so for example

This sort of reminds me of PO do and like a social networking

application almost like a team collaboration tool but posts essentially are your wikis

So for example, they've got a few sample ones here like getting a new laptop. So for example, if a company

provides laptops you could have a available model set selection here and

embed using Google Forms a

Laptop request form that you could use quite easily here. So it's quite a neat way of be able to do it

And of course you've got once you inside of the post or the wiki here

You can actually access the different areas and if this was longer you'd be able to see all of that

So with the top right-hand corner, you can edit the post if you'd like editing the post is really easy. I

Played around with a few and I will be demonstrating what this looks like, but you can pretty much

And any form of multimedia that you like with that images links files

Whatever and if for example you can text format with links and comments and leave them for your team

now if you want to

Unpublish this you can go to the top right you can favorite it

and if I hit favorite you can see it appears in this left-hand side and also you can export it and

Make a copy of it and you can export

into

Docx markdown PDF as well as it view the history

You can actually see who's edited it what comments have been left by other people

So it's it's not just a static post now, you can also share it

You can actually create a public link for anyone that want to view it or you can add specific

Owners that already joined in so it's quite an easy way. And also I did see that they have real-time synchronous as well

So if you were editing if someone else was editing this you'd be able to see exactly who's doing that which is good

So if I go over and I begin to create a new for example, let's say on onboarding

Let's say for the key productive side of stuff. We have the blog. Let's say I wanted to create a quick onboarding document for those

Who are new to the blog and just want to get started if I click create at the top right hand corner?

You create a new post and this is automatically available in your drafts

You can see that that's a draft now and of course you can see if you click into yourself

You can see all of the posts that you've created beforehand. So that's quite a quick and nice shortcut there

So for example if I want to say blog editors

guideline

Guidelines and I could get started straightaway. So what I'm gonna do is I'm going to craft a post. I'm gonna speed it up

So that you can see the sort of text formatting that I have

the ability to create

So here we are a really simple

Demonstration of how the post work, for example when you get started. I added a header to this document a

Post and you can also add these headers as you go throughout

So, for example, I added three core hate to headers

I ought lined a bit of the information to cite how to create a new blog post

and obviously this is very condensed and

creating header

Images and I also dragged in an image into this one and it saved it beautifully now things that I didn't add it also allows

You to add obviously more images. You have got video. You've got embedding

so if you wanted an

Embed a code or for example a YouTube video you could do so you can mention another post or mention a user

ordered list bulleted list or a checklist

So there for example if you want to make a quick checklist that is interacted you can even add code tables

I believe that is and also the additional horizontal line

So they're all accessible through just tapping this plus button media button down here and as you can see it's already

Coordinated the outline of the post as well so you don't have to now once I'm happy

what I would do is I'd press publish and as you can see you can add topics to it and actually

Assign it to so for example company onboarding if I kept publish and I go down to show all

You should be able to see that inside of that. So there we go

It's available in the post section inside of onboarding

now if I wanted a favorite topic

specifically I could do and of course I can access all of the topics below there and if I want to create a new post

It's quite easy here now inside of each topic page

you can actually see the top contributors to subtopics and any activities have been edited since you've been there which is quite easy and

If you want to you can go into other articles and actually share or publish them straight from there

So as you can imagine there are a few templates inside of here

So if I go to show or hit templates, you can see a few that they've created like meeting notes templates and project overview

So this could be a project overview template that you created and naturally you can see the goals non goals team goals

And you even with each poster thank each people so you can use a couple of templates if you want to create a new topic

There are a few templated ones here

So for example, if you want today a department for planning and developing helping winning drawing

There's loads there that you can do it and you can nest them underneath

Specific other topics now you're probably wondering when it comes to pricing and information like that. How does everything work?

They have a free trial which is 30 days. They also have a pricing. I think it's 10 users

annually as a price is

$25 per month for those 10 users

They also have a business edition of it with improved authentication and premium integrations

And that's $50 per user per month

Now the notable thing is they've got a few integrations with get hard Google Drive slack air table Dropbox paper G suite

YouTube

And future integrations with Atlassian products coming soon

They also have the ability to manage history management. I think this was founded by a previous employees of Airbnb

Dropbox and Y Combinator now just before we go. I wanted to demonstrate the Google Drive integration

I connected up with a Google Drive mini to demonstrate from so for example

if you already have a Google Drive full of documents and you want to be able to

Study in some - obviously it's lab but you still want access or your Google Drive. You can do that here

say for example, if I typed in like a couple of projects or done a search that

quickly finds inside of Google Drive

so for example

I could find all the Google Drive

And once I hit enter it would open up that Google Drive document and I can even add a folder to it

So that's quite a neat way

And you can obviously search and add more integrations like Dropbox paper and slack to make it searchable as well

And it was hopefully that was a nice overview

As I said, I'll wanted to be doing more internal wiki tools because this is quite a popular space

I think companies are leaning their way

towards these tools because as you could imagine

There's tons of them and and all that knowledge and information that a company's got can be found and accessed there

Anyway guys a huge
