Vegetarian Korean Food (Bibimbap - 비빔밥): Healthy Korean Mixed Rice in Seoul, Korea - Duration: 6:56.

Well good evening good evening.

It is starting to get dark a lot earlier here in Seoul.

It is only 7 pm but it is like pitch black out.

Yeah.

Anyways, we're going for dinner.

We're going to have a really healthy bibimbap (비빔밥).

Yeah, this is kind of like a contemporary vegetarian take on traditional bibimbap (비빔밥)

and we just discovered this restaurant a few days ago and it has become our new favorite

restaurant now that we're staying back around Seoul station (서울역) again so.

Yes, this is actually our third night in a row.

Yeah, we're on a bit of a health kick so we'll show you why.

Alright so we've already made a video about regular bibimbap (비빔밥).

Tonight we're getting fancy.

Yeah, tonight we're getting fancy and we ordered two different kinds.

One is sundubu bibimbap (비빔밥) and that comes with a soft silken tofu.

Yeah.

And the other one we ordered is poseot bibimbap (비빔밥) which is a mushroom based bibimbap

(비빔밥).

Both are vegetarian.

Both have ingredients that are quite different from normal bibimbap (비빔밥).

And when the dishes arrive we'll give you a full tour and show you all of the different

ingredients.

Action.

Alright, so the food has arrived and I get so excited about this meal because it so healthy

and so tasty.

So it is like really fun to eat it.

So anyways take a look at the bowl.

It is just like fresh raw ingredients.

I have broccoli, I have red and yellow peppers.

I have persimmon.

Banana.

Pumpkin.

Grapes.

Different types of of lettuce and cabbage.

And then mushrooms and I think this on top is ground sesame seeds.

That is what I read online but not entirely sure.

And yeah, it is just so healthy.

And look this is kind of like a two step meal.

So you have to grab your dressing.

Yep.

So first you dress your salad.

So unlike other bibimbap (비빔밥) where you have it all prepared for you.

You just mix it yourself.

This you actually have to put in your rice.

Yeah, so it is a soy based sauce and you kind of dress your salad.

So you do that first.

Alright that is step one.

What is step two?

Step two.

Oh, you've already uncovered your rice.

I have.

And this rice is different from normal plain rice.

You call this kind of like a purple bean rice.

Look at that.

It is really pretty.

It is healthier than normal rice.

Okay, so first we have to mix this all together.

You mix your vegetables.

You mix your salad.

Yeah and that helps you get the sauce evenly distributed.

Spread it around.

Banana.

Did I mention we have a banana in here?

There is fruit in here too.

There is banana and grapes.

There is also persimmon too.

Once you have mixed your salad you add the rice.

There we go.

And you take some of the spicy red pepper paste.

Yeah, the gochujang (고추장).

Just.

There.

That's it?

We like our spice.

That is plenty.

Are you kidding me?

I would put on about double that amount but okay.

And then we mix all of that around.

Yep.

That is the second step.

Yeah, this is like fascinating bibimbap (비빔밥) because this is a dish I've had in so many

different restaurants but I've never seen such a contemporary twist on it.

Yeah.

And it has ingredients that you'd never normally see.

Yeah, like fruit.

Yeah.

I've never encountered fruit.

Fruit in bibimbap (비빔밥) before.

Walnuts and different things.

So I'm going to go for some of the mushroom here.

This is my first time ordering the mushroom one.

Today I purposely tried to make it vegetarian but I normally get chamchi (참치) which

is tuna.

Woah.

It is falling out.

Falling.

Mmmm.

How is that?

It was a good mushroom.

Wow.

Yes, this is your first time to try the mushroom on this right.

Yeah, you've had the tuna or other types.

Broccoli here.

This is so healthy.

So so good.

Such healthy Korean food.

Mmmm.

Excellent.

Okay, so before you dig in to yours do you want to show us what else we get with this?

Sure, so before I mix my bibimbap (비빔밥) I'll show you the soup here.

We have Miyeokguk (미역국) which is the Korean seaweed soup.

Yep.

It is really healthy.

I'll try a little bit here.

Mmmm.

It is nice having warm soup on a cold night like this so.

Okay.

.And we also get the kimchi.

We get kimchi (김치).

And we get eggs.

Always.

And hardboiled eggs with a little bit of salt and pepper that you can dip.

Alright, so enough talking about that.

Let's start mixing mine up.

So I think the only difference in ours is that mine comes with tofu.

Yeah, and mine has mushroom.

Yep.

So I'm just going to really give that a good mix.

I'm going to slice up that banana.

And you know what?

I never would have thought banana would taste good in a bibimbap (비빔밥) but it actually

is delicious.

It does.

It does.

It almost makes it gives it some sweetness.

So while you mix I should also mention you don't have to make it vegetarian.

Like if you want you can also add chicken breast, octopus, they have tuna.

They have pork so lots of different ingredients.

Okay, time for my gochujang (고추장) sauce.

Oh, and I'm going to put a lot on there.

Oh yeah.

Oh yeah.

I think Sam is going a little overboard.

A little overboard but you're the one eating it.

I would rather have it too spicy that not spicy enough.

So I'm going to give that a really good mix.

Oh, it has pumpkin as well.

That is hobak (호박).

And the colors.

The colors are just so vibrant in this dish.

Yeah, it is awesome.

Ready to dig in?

Ready to dig in.

So I'm going to make sure I get a bit of tofu here and I'm going to try some pumpkin.

Oops.

And yeah the rice.

Mmmm.

Wow.

That is nice and spicy.

I just like this really is one of my favorite Korean meals and I love bibimbap (비빔밥)

but now that I've found an alternative type of bibimbap (비빔밥) it has just really

opened up a whole new taste bud experience.

A whole new world of food here so this is fantastic.

Alright, how was that dinner for yah?

Oh, that was amazing.

So healthy, so filling.

But like normally I find when you're sometimes you know when you're sacrificing eating really

healthy food there is a sacrifice with taste.

But not that.

That is so delicious.

I swear I could probably eat that every night for a month and I wouldn't get sick of it.

That is how much I like it.

And it is also affordable too.

Yeah.

So it is only 6000 Won (원) each so 12,000 in total.

W12,000 KRW.

And highly recommend going.

Tips and Tricks To COUNTER The Gadgetzan Meta - Hearthstone - Duration: 9:22.

Tips and Tricks For Countering the MSOG Meta

Whats up guys its me Jeremy!

MSOG is in full swing, and although it's actually a really diverse standard format,

there's definitely some decks that have come out on top.

The aggro pirate archetype is obviously really strong, primarily in warrior and shaman form,

renolock is stronger than ever, and both jade druid and aviana/combo druid are commonly

seen at high ranks on ladder.

Although a lot of other decks are viable, a lot of them are generally considered a little

bit weaker than some of the really strong decks we just mentioned and so they need all

the help they can get.

Not to worry though, when certain decks become too strong you can metagame against them by

teching in certain cards or even playing entire strategies just to beat them!

Today we're going to talk about some of these strategies and tech cards, as well as their

benefits and drawbacks, so let's get to it!

Let's cover some of the things you can do against pirate warrior and aggro shaman first,

since they're probably some of the most prevalent decks on ladder and fairly easy

to tech against.

First of all both of these decks rely fairly heavily on weapons for both synergy and damage,

and also play some pretty high value weapons like arcanite reaper

and doomhammer.

This means that all weapon destruction is pretty great against them, and can also be

pretty good against things like jaraxxus or any type of rogue deck.

Acidic swamp ooze is probably the best option as far as weapon destruction goes since it's

pretty cheap, fully deals with annoying weapons and fits great into all sorts of decks.

If you're playing an aggro deck it's an aggressive enough body where slotting it in

doesn't really hurt you, and if you're playing more of a controlling or midrange deck, the

cheap mana cost helps you develop it against an aggressive deck while still casting a removal

spell or a heal. Harrison is probably the next best option, but we'd probably rather

run two acidic swamp oozes before Harrison, since generally he's too slow against all

these aggro decks, even though the card draw is nice.

One interesting option to actually consider for pirate decks themselves to tech is bloodsail

corsair, since he enables your pirate synergies but also can destroy opposing weapons, but

in general it's still slightly worse than ooze, but definitely a cool thing to try out!

Now obviously any taunts or heals are gonna be good against aggressive decks, and there's

a ton of those so we can't really cover all of them, but one cards we really want

to talk about is dirty rat.

The awesome thing about dirty rat against things like pirate warrior is that you can

usually just slam it on turn two, get a big taunt, and they get a pretty small minion.

You might even get lucky and pull something like a finley or a nzoths first mate so that

they lose out on the battlecry.

The other really cool thing about dirty rat is that it's actually good against a lot of

different decks.

You obviously don't want to be slamming it on turn two against control or midrange

decks, but once you're at a decent amount of mana and have some backup removal just

in case you pull something crazy, its generally worth the risk.

The meta right now is based on a lot of really powerful battlecry effects, like reno, jaraxus,

and kazakus, or anything in jade druid, or any combo pieces like kun or leeroy or faceless.

By pulling these cards onto the board with dirty rat, you can sometimes just win the

game completely, or at least take away a crucial battle cry and cripple the opponent.

It's rare to see a tech card that's good against multiple decks, so if you're playing

against a variety of different stuff it's better to slot dirty rats, or at least mix

up your ooze to dirty rat ratio, but if pretty much all you're seeing is pirate decks than

ooze is overall a better tech card.

One other thing people can potentially do against pirate warrior is play a really early

game focused control warrior with lots of armor.

This deck can actually also beat combo decks, since you can armor enough to where the combo

doesn't kill you, and you can even sometimes beat renolock by playing harrison to get the

jaraxxus weapon, and gromm and an activator to burst them down when they're not careful.

The problem with this deck is that any competent jade druid player has an insanely good matchup

against you.

You can try to combo kill them with gromm+alex but it's definitely gonna be a tough battle.

Still though, if you're seeing almost no jade druid on the ladder, some variation of control

warrior is definitely a really strong option.

Next let's cover what we can do against Jade druid, since that's actually pretty

simple.

Playing against Jade Druid is a little bit like playing solitaire.

Obviously your opponent's decisions matter and they can definitely interact with you

with things like removal, but there's usually an average turn where they reach a critical

mass or size of jade golems and you just lose.

There's nothing you can really do to invalidate or control the golems, since jade idol let's

them have infinite ones, so essentially you have to race them.

There's pretty much two ways of going about this.

One is just to play a really aggressive deck, since even with tech cards jade druid struggles

against them.

The other is to play a combo deck with board wipes and removal, and stall long enough so

you can combo them before their golems kill you.

This is pretty much what renolock does or tries to do in this matchup.

The problem with combo decks like Aviana/Kun druid against jade druid is that you don't

have any hard board wipes like twisting nether and so it's a lot harder to stall against

giant golems while you get to your combo.

Still there aren't really any specific cards to slot in against jade druid, so if you're

seeing more of it than anything else, we recommend playing either aggro or renolock, with aggro

definitely having a stronger matchup, but renolock having more balanced matchups across

the board.

And that brings us to the last deck we'll be talking about tech cards against, renolock!

One of the cool things about renolock in this meta is that it has pretty even matchups across

the board, but there's definitely still cards we can tech to try to beat them.

One interesting card to play is actually Sacrificial Pact!

You can slot into your own reno deck, and not only does it win the game for free if

you're playing a mirror and your opponent ever casts jaraxxus, but it also lets you

eat your own demons like imps from imp gang boss against aggressive decks to gain 5 health.

Now sure sac pact may end up being dead in some matchups, but if youre seeing a ton of

renolock on ladder, and youre confident enough you can play around leeroy/faceless and bait

a jaraxxus from them, its definitely a great card to include.

Beyond that, you generally want to include a fair amount of burst damage so you can beat

jaraxxus, since he has a lot of powerful game.

Jade Druid is one of the only decks that actually has a better late game than renolock, so against

them you might want to slot in a few extra taunts like ancient of war since theyre primarily

gonna win games against you with leeroy/faceless burst.

Ancient of war is actually pretty good against aggro decks too, as long as you can get it

out fairly early with innervate or other acceleration.

As far as decks go, something like Aviana/Kun druid is pretty good against renolock, since

you can feral rage your way out of leeroy lethal range, you generally combo faster than

them, and you have an insane burst combo that can kill them even at full health.

Those are some of the tech cards we recommend slotting in in the current meta, what tech

do you guys like on ladder right now?

Let us know in the comments!

And it looks like that's gonna be it from me, if you enjoyed the video drop a like,

How Do Cats and Dogs Drink Water? - Duration: 2:42.

You might have noticed how cats delicately lap up milk, while dogs will head over to

a water dish and sloppily splash all over your floor.

Turns out, there's some interesting physics to back up the phrase, "cats rule and dogs

drool."

That's because these pets have to use their tongues to get liquids into their mouths,

fighting against the effects of gravity.

And, according to a couple research studies, cats and dogs have slightly different techniques

that do or don't make a splash.

You and I can sip our milkshakes and soups thanks to suction.

And animals like horses, pigs, and sheep can suck up their water, too.

And that's because we all have complete cheeks, which means we have muscles and tissues

that let us seal our mouths and create a partial vacuum.

Basically, you can make a pocket of lower air pressure in your mouth, so the water you're

trying to drink gets pushed up by the higher-pressure outside air.

And that's suction.

But cats and dogs don't have cheeks like ours.

Like lots of predatory mammals, they have incomplete cheeks, which lets them extend

their jaws wider to chomp down on their prey.

But they /can't/ create that partial vacuum and suck up liquid.

Instead, they use their powerful tongues to create columns of liquids like water or milk,

and lap it up.

Using slow-motion video, different groups of researchers have tried to figure out the

physics behind the tongue movements of cats and dogs.

One study found that cats lower the tips of their tongues to just barely touch the surface

of the water.

Then, they quickly retract their tongues at speeds of almost 80 centimeters per second.

The water molecules stick to the cat's tongue thanks to adhesive forces, and stick to each

other because of cohesive forces.

And this creates a column of water for a split-second, fighting against the force of gravity.

Dogs, on the other hand, are a little more gung-ho than cats, according to a separate

study.

These researchers found that dogs splash their tongues deeper into water bowls, curl them

into more of a ladle-shape, and then can retract them at speeds of 700 centimeters per second

or more.

This means more of a dog's tongue is touching the water, so dogs end up making a bigger,

messier water column before they clamp their mouths shut.

The larger the dog, the larger the tongue, and the larger the splash.

So next time your dog makes a mess at the water bowl … you can blame physics.

Kanye West Catches a Movie With Pink Hairdo - Duration: 1:04.

Kanye West isn't going to be performing on stage anytime soon, but that doesn't

mean he can't be a little flashy even while keeping low key.

Don't pretend you didn't notice that pink hair.

According to Us Magazine, Kanye was out catching a movie by himself, but despite his recent

hospitalization and rumors of a rocky relationship with wife, Kim Kardashian, he hasn't lost

his sense of style.

Us magazine reports that all the drama in Kanye's life, including his psychiatric

hospitalization, along with Kim's robbery at gunpoint in Paris has put a lot of strain

on their marriage.

The rapper is reportedly seeing a therapist daily, and Kim is relieved he's getting

the help necessary to save himself.

Perhaps escaping to see movies is also therapeutic for him.

We might catch him watching movies, but we think Kanye still plans to stay behind the

camera as 2017 kicks off.

Crimes to Humanity Maldives Sinking Islands Live Stream Day#498 - Duration: 23:07.

hello friends family and Internet

I'm thrilled to pieces you have chosen

to hang out and explore the universe

with me today on Google Earth and today

we are just a west of sri lanka and I

wanted to look at the maldives and I

saw something strange really strange

okay when it's like it's like the ocean

has ate these islands all of these

islands are gone

uh-uh or something here now look at this

it's just like all that's left is the

shore and so apparently they sunk or

something so but this one is ok this one

was kind of strange in a way this

reminds me a little bit of grand turk

because Grand Turk has some well

actually it's like the water's coming up

from underneath and then it reclaims the

land or something I don't know how this

stuff stays though but uh yeah okay

anyway I made this untitled placemark

here and it looks like a swimming pool

ok so do you see this right here okay so

it looks this looks intelligently made

on earth you know not something nature

would made it looks like maybe it used

to be a swimming pool or something I

don't know

or is that a building oh is that a

building that has trees on top of it

maybe or is that sand no it looks like

a building maybe that's truly bizarre

oh good grief is this building's i'm

looking at maybe

ok so anyway I'm just finding this

really really strange here because okay

we look right here this is all it kind

of looks like a building and then there

is this thing that goes over here and

then there's all these trees on top of

something here so Wow

huh that's kind of strange right there

and then there is this thing right here

too

that's the same color it's kind of odd

wait a minute let's zoom in here a

little bit okay there's something right

here and so how come this middle part

has sunk is completely gone

that's strange but yeah this is the

thing that is what i typed in maldives

this is the thing that came out now this

looks like it's a straight line and yeah

and so it looks like something that man

made is that like a bridge to nowhere

but then we've got these little things

coming out as the water is shooting out

of it

wow that's that's really odd and strange

there

oh sorry I got a little frog in my

throat today

now those this looks like people used to

live here maybe you can see there used

to be streets here it's possible that

these are dirt roads maybe I don't know

they're there is something big right

here a house but I'm yeah and you know I

came here I was inspired by another

youtuber i'm going to have to remember

his name because he's been doing some

things that are kind of fun on his

channel and so I like I really enjoy

looking at google maps now look what we

have right here so so this helps me then

with Mars because uh it helps me look at

where things used to be and to how the

ocean the waterways the streams are

reclaiming land and so this is probably

as the Earth's plates shift so I I don't

believe in this thing that that the

waters are rising

no I don't believe in that

I do believe though that there are

corporations are polluting and and they

need to change their habits now I think

that's the whole reason

well that's what my husband tells me

that's the whole reason why we have this

global warming initiative is a you know

because they have to create a cause in

order to get people's attentions so

oh but at the same time you know I can

see how that's abuse you know by

throwing all this sand up on the beach

but I suppose that's in the United

States and I've talked about that in

other videos but yeah we're going to

talk about this one okay so uh the whole

middle of the island has just

disappeared

you see that everything in the middle is

just gone so i'm assuming that this is

maldives because i typed in Maldives and

then when i zoom out

let's see maldives shows up here so

let's let's zoom in and see what we got

going on yes this is the whole middle of

these islands has disappeared and this

is where people are living now

ok oh look at this and so this is going

to help me with Mars researching on Mars

so i need to look at Earth and Mars I

need to look at Earth Google Earth as

much as I look at Mars so now if we look

right over here and so i can compare

this to Mars and I need to remember

maldives because this is a good

reference to so there's a lot of places

where I can see where foundations used

to be so if we zoom in and we are like

500 feet and and so you can see these

paths here see these paths and cut out

so some of this could be farming I don't

know that's really hard to tell but see

these paths right here this path right

here what you know what we this is

common

this is common on earth and you see this

path here look at this up here too so

and then it seems like the surveyors

it would be fun if they zoomed in really

really close to this you-know-what

zoomed in a little closer I mean yeah we

can see the houses you know and Street

View and some things but i suppose maybe

this government doesn't want us snooping

in on em or something but you know I

don't know you know I mean I may I get

you know

yes i mean it's it's just interesting to

see the changes we've got something

going on here and we can go over here so

this kind of looks like I what what is

whole whole hum ho hum need who is out

in the middle of a swamp

it looks like it's a swamp so really

hear it's really hard to tell if this is

the big mud pit or if it's a dirt pit

because the water and the dirt look the

same so this is the uh oh I'm not sure

what to call it the well it reminds me

of Mars you know so some and look right

here we've got these Little Rock

Foundation things right here and you can

see there's something out here

I don't know is that a boat ramp a

former boat ramp the former foundation

of some sort but this kind of reminds me

of of greenery you know maybe a layer of

moss and what what do they call it the

the pollutants that come in i don't know

if you call it pollutants because

everything everything has its reason and

purpose and so let's zoom Oh looky looky

looky

so this is where houses used to be so I

don't know where the houses went but

there used to be buildings here or are

there still building this there and this

is a bad picture

no I think that it looks scraped to me

either that or something is being hidden

right here but now I'm thinking that

since the middle of the island is

sinking that that part right there those

people probably got flooded out a lot so

there is still something right there

her maybe it has a sea wall around it

possibly because that's what they're

doing is building sea walls around

things to try to keep the water out to

you know try to prolong of you know the

the shifting of the plates of the earth

on the google earth now look right here

we've got another thing right here this

is a former foundation of some sort and

we've got plop plop plop plop plop dash

dash dash dash dash dash so this is

intelligently made and so we can see the

Maldives sinking that's what we're

looking at is the Maldives sinking and

there's something right here

yeah so I mean I you know it wow this is

what we have going on in the United

States and so it's a good thing that I

looked at this one so i can compare it

to the outer barrier islands of the

United States because the same thing is

going on and so that's why we end up

with all these beaches and so it because

i was thinking that someone was island

building but now I'm not so sure that

it's island building i think that the

center of the islands are sinking into

the ocean the water is reclaiming the

ocean and so but then look right here is

this a real airport

it looks like it is a real airport there

is that what the what are those squares

I don't know what those squares are but

that's interesting anyway and so that's

just the one that one where's the one oh

gosh oh I went way out

you see we got a zoom in here let's zoom

into this one because this 10 this one

still looks put together and I want to

get to that other one not in this video

it's going to be another video I want to

get to that other one because it was

interesting that I'm going to have to

look that guys name up i subscribe to

him and he's interesting so he inspired

me and I need to give him a shout out

yeah i need to give him a shout out hang

on a second ok here's this channel

noblenessdee is his name and this video

right here

USA you have been raped that effect

oh good grief and this one crimes

against humanity this point is

interesting to I'm I thought I watched

the whole thing of that one but i must

not have here this has some of the most

interesting things and so yeah I and

I've started another channel home to put

some of this stuff on because I'm trying

to figure some of this stuff out and so

yeah but let's go back here to earth and

so now we're looking here at our fuvahmulah

island fuvahmulah island and so

there's a whole bunch of yeah these I

islands this whole set of islands has

just disappeared

how in the world let's look at this one

oh there's nothing here

what's this is that houses that are

underwater now houses that are

underwater really so somebody or is that

like a oh that might be I wonder if

thats that tourist attraction

you know how they have those houses that

they build out in the water yeah that

that must be that tourist attraction so

I don't think that that those houses are

actually like underwater I think that's

a tourist attraction island

yeah I wonder how you get there tho i

guess by boat

I mean that's the only way I can see how

you would get there unless you land on a

on one of those uh oh what are they

called one of those water water

airplanes so it would be a boat

or water airplane yeah that's quite

interesting right there look at that

good grief so this is near guraidhoo

guraidhoo so let's see if there's

anything here it looks like there's

nothing here so this one has not been

developed that i can see

oh there's just something out in the

middle of the water right there maybe

it's sunk

I think it might be sunk right there

so this is pretty cool that we can see

the Maldives we can't actually see our

keys real well

oh this is from 2000 so if this is from

2000 good grief what the hell it does it

look like now is it all underwater

I mean if this is from 2000 so this

right here

ok so there's like a I guess this is a

sea wall or a marina right there and so

I suppose that probably cost a lot of

money to update the these areas and so

you would think that they would do it

more often if i don't know but i think

that the reason they probably do it is

there they're looking for natural

resources to build you know places to

build now this looks all carved out so

yeah this looks all carved out and

there's a oh here's a dash dash dash

dash dash dash dash dash dash dash dash

dash dash dash

ok so wow so that all of them all of the maldives

just pretty much disappeared

it's just pretty much disappeared here

and is just out in the middle of nowhere

but i would like to visit I think it

would be cool

oh gosh I don't know which one it is now

that would be kind of fun to visit that

one area but isn't this in the ring of

fire

so I'm thinking okay

be brave but then what if there's a

tsunami but apparently these people have

survived you know if there was a tsunami

they've all survived

oh good grief now now these are thinking

within their self so so the outer

barrier islands are have little holes

and are sinking within ourselves and

they've created new beaches so do you

see that

so there's beaches here and here and

they kind of sunk so one of the things

is that the middle

ok the darkness is can represent very

very deep water and/or mud that's what

I've learned you know sailing on the

ships and things like that it represents

mud at or very dark water a look at this

all the people oh this is one of them

this is one of them that no belize was

know what I say his name was not want to

say it right noblenessdee ok that he was

talking about you see this here and so

like although everybody has just kind of

moved inland and so you can see we're

all right here they're probably used to

be something right there and you see and

this is from 2000 i would imagine that's

gone by now or maybe underwater possibly

i don't know and so I guess there used

to be a road

what is that called oh that that's a

fairy is this fairy fery the

Vermilion ferry so the only way to get

there

good grief that's horrible because i was

wondering how the heck do they get food

out there and is there going to be

stores out there or does anybody even

live there anymore

that's horrible like who would do you

would think that that people would help

them move to another place that's what

I'm thinking you would think because I'm

going to have to come don't come back

and do another one of these

oh yes here here's another one and so I

look at all these houses along

here got goodness and how far are they

from land

oh there there are good ways away from

land so somebody needs to help but let's

see how far they are let's measure time

to measure okay we're gonna measure in

miles

let's see from here from here to here

oh my gosh thats 533 miles somebody

needs to help these people so they don't

sink into the ocean that is a crime like

noblenessdee said that's a crime against

humanity

these poor people out in the middle of

the ocean

how terrible is this another one of them

this must be yeah this is what he was

talking about this is terrible

so all these people are just sinking

into there's got to be a way

somebody's gotta save em somebody's

got to save the people is this another

one

yeah look at that so so the I was just

sunk and then

oh here it is even these are far away i

don't think that he did a that says

india

oh good grief there's a lot of people

there to can get mr. Pegman nope we

can't do street view on this but here is

a road okay yeah

wow I'm going to have to come back and

do a part two on this one because the

yeah this this whole area is interesting

and even let's measure again we're going

to measure from here to here that's

still a hundred and eighty-five miles so

it's it's not like it's that close 185

is close but it's not

that closed so wow so these people are

just sinking into the water

look at how wow so huh

and it i was thinking isn't that

somewhere near where the he had another

one over here to that was interesting

that was be all this looks interesting i

don't know what this so that's what must

be one of those underground canyons but

it looks a the Bay of bengal he had a

triangle-shaped island out in the middle

of the ocean but i'll have to find that

for another video because I I don't know

right where it's at right now but it was

over here somewhere i think it was over

here somewhere

well i think i'm gonna have to find it

for another video because it's gonna

take me a little bit to find it but i

think this is really interesting because

these islands really truly are sinking

and I'm hoping that there's somebody who

helps these folks are that they've

gotten off the island because clearly

these islands are sinking and well

actually the water is reclaiming the

land that's what's happening the water

is reclaiming the land and yeah and so

really right now there they be nothing

more than a tourist attraction so I hope

there's no crimes against humanity being

committed but yes I can see how this

could be crimes against humanity

regarding the sinking islands and in the

streams so in the oceans and waterways

and so yeah um wow that's that's that's

amazing totally amazing

so we'll be keeping continuing up and

looking at this and keeping track of of

what's going on in the ocean and

hopefully they'll put up some new maps

that are up-to-date to today's date so

we can see them clearly that's what i'd

like to see them clearly like what it

looks like today then we would really

really see the changes because you know

of

well I've told you guys about a hunting

island hunting island south carolina the

water reclaims the land really really

fast and so it's not like it too slow

process it can be a fast process so you

know just over a few years just get if

they didn't really nourished the beaches

some of those places would be completely

gone

so yeah but I want to thank you guys for

watching please thumbs up this video

Romanian Food: An Introduction to Romanian Cuisine - Duration: 11:23.

We're coming to the end of our time in Romania and we thought we'd take you out one last

time to show you some traditional Romanian cuisine.

It's definitely been a highlight of our trip.

We've absolutely loved eating Romanian food, so we can't wait to show you a few new things.

So I'm very excited because our food has finally arrived and first up I'm going to show you

this Moldavian pancake.

So it is basically a dough pancake and it is filled with sheep's cheese and cow's cheese

but our server also asked if we wanted bacon inside, so we said 'yes, of course.'

So let's dig in.

I'm going to cut it up and show you what it looks like.

On this inside.

Oh, yeah.

You can see all of the cheese seeping out.

Mmmm.

Yeah, we've had this a few times and they're really generous with the cheese.

Oh yeah.

And you can order all different kinds of cheese.

They have cottage cheese, you can get mozzarella cheese, whatever you like.

Oh, so check it out from this angle.

Can you see the bacon in there?

Oh, yeah.

Oh yeah, baby.

Oh, yeah.

Let's try it.

I'm just eating it like a pizza.

I don't know if is right.

Oh, that's still hot.

Mmmm.

That's really good guys.

Really good.

A little greasy.

My fingers are looking oily.

But those flavors, the salty cheese and then you've got the bacon.

It's real good.

It's a nice little appetizer here.

I like that you can have it as an appetizer or you could also have it as a main.

Like if you were to eat that whole thing it's filling.

Alright, time for myself to cut a slice.

Oh la lah.

It is hot.

Mmmm.

That is just so amazing.

Like, I think this might be my favorite Romanian food.

This is just so good.

These cheese is so salty and I just love anything that kind of resembles a pizza.

And we forgot to mention this can also be served as a dessert.

That's right.

You can get sweet ones as well.

Yeah, sweet cheese and raisins and cranberries.

We haven't tried one of those yet but.

Maybe we should.

Hahaha.

Okay, look over here because this is a pretty cool dish.

Polenta balls.

And I find it really interesting because I've had polenta before in places like Argentina

and Italy but I've never seen the polenta rolled out into a little ball like they do

here in Romania.

And if I cut it in half you can see that it is stuffed with cheese.

Oh, yeah.

Just look at that.

Oh, yeah.

And here it comes with a garlic sauce with dill and also sour cream.

So let's add a bit of sour cream.

Dunk that in the garlic.

Look at that.

Oh, wow.

Mmmm.

That's real good.

That is so garlic-y.

I'm going to have really bad breath after this but it is so good.

It is worth it.

We're going to need to buy some breath mints and maybe some gum.

Alright, so I think I've said this before but I'm going to say it one more time.

The first time for me to try polenta I really was not a fan.

I thought gosh this is so bland but when I started having it with cheese and eating it

more regularly while here in Romania I've really come to enjoy it, so this is a dish

that whenever we get Romanian food we always have to find some way to include polenta now.

Yes, we do.

Hahaha.

Big fans of polenta over here.

This is my first time trying the balls and they're really good.

I like the cheese inside.

Mmm.

What do you have over here.

Can you tell us about this?

Yeah, so over here I have basically, if you look down again, so we can see.

We have basically a pork cheese bake.

So you can see that the cheese is melted on top.

You have pork right here.

And if you look, if I kind of move this around you can see that there is a really nice cream

sauce and there is a lot of potatoes, different vegetables.

Oh, and mushrooms.

And then you have tomatoes all around the outside.

So it is really tasty.

You get a lot of different ingredients happening.

Try some of that.

This is really good.

This sort of reminds me a little bit of a lasagna.

Mmmmm.

And of course we could not resist getting some dessert.

So we are having something called Tort a Lunel.

And I'm probably butchering the name but that is how I think it is pronounced.

And it is basically a dense chocolate cake with Halva, walnuts and peanuts.

Oh, my!

And it is quite hard to cut through but that is just because there is so much chocolate

in there.

It's a very dense cake.

Yeah, and look at that caramel.

Look at that.

Amazing.

Big spoonful of chocolate cake right there.

Oh yeah.

I think it has caramel too.

It is quite sticky and gooey.

Great for chocolate lovers.

Alright, time for me to try this.

Wow!

That is some kind of decadent.

I don't even know how we're going to finish this.

The two of us with one piece of cake.

I find when I'm having Romanian food I am so stuffed by the end of the meal.

Siesta time after this for sure.

Don't worry, I can take care of this on my own if you leave it up to me.

Well, well.

I'm guessing you enjoyed that?

You better believe it.

That was one heck of a big meal.

I'm just basically in Siesta mode already.

Sipping on my coffee.

Not moving at all.

Time for price point.

It was 95 Lei which if we do the conversion according to Sam is very cheap.

Right, Sam?

Yeah, it is just over 20 US dollars and we ended up getting 3 drinks, 3 mains and a dessert.

Not bad.

It is dinnertime and we are at restaurant Transilvania.

In Brasov and we are trying traditional Romanian cuisine.

Let's go in and order some food.

Yum!

So you've got yourself a fancy drink?

Yeah, I'm just diving right in and trying things I've never had before.

This is called afinata and it is a bilberry brandy.

And, woah, it smells strong, so let's try a sip of that.

Good stuff?

Oh, yeah it is so sweet but yet it has like really high alcohol content.

Is it like a syrup?

Yeah, it tastes very syrup-y.

That's a good way of describing it.

Well, very exciting times.

My food has finally arrived.

If you have a look down here I'm having polenta with cottage cheese and sour cream.

And I also got some goulash on the side which I know is Hungarian but it was on the menu

so 'hey' I got it anyway.

So let's start with the polenta because that is very Romanian.

Look at that.

Look at the cheese.

Look at the sour cream.

Mmmm.

Oh, wow.

Is that good stuff?

That's good.

That's real good.

Okay, so tell us about your plate?

Now on the menu I saw something I could not resist ordering.

It was called Dracula pork.

And if something is good enough for Dracula.

It's good enough for me.

So let's take a look at this.

It appears to be pork with some kind of sauce and like a copious amount of cheese.

So it's like a melted cheese and maybe ketchup.

Maybe it is Dracula's blood on your little pork medallion.

Could be.

Dracula's blood!

Would Dracula approve?

I think he would.

Yeah.

That's really tasty.

And I ordered a side of polenta to go with my steak as well.

So I'm going to try a bite.

That's surprisingly tasty.

I have to admit the first time I tried polenta, which was not that long ago, I didn't really

like it.

I thought gosh that is kind of bland.

But it is really growing on me and if you haven't tried it before it's made out of cornmeal.

And it has a yeah a kind of starchy kind of taste.

You just need a good sauce on the polenta for it to taste good I think.

Yeah, I agree.

And we ate all of this.

How are you feeling?

Bulging belly time.

You've tried quite a bit of Romanian food so far.

What are your impressions?

My impressions are that it is quite tasty.

It's typical of other Eastern European cuisines in the sense that it is very hearty.

There is a lot of meat, there is a lot of starchy foods like polenta and potatoes and

there is something else that is really cool is that there is really good wine here.

Wine here is fantastic.

What's your take on Romanian food?

Well, I am stuffed beyond belief so I have to agree.

Very hearty.

Very filling.

Um, I also think this is not a country for vegetarians.

You see meat during every meal.

During lunch and dinner.

Especially pork.

So, keep that in mind.

So even though we're quite full we couldn't resist ordering a Romanian dessert.

So right here we've got sponge cake with chocolate pudding, chocolate sauce.

I think it has orange cognac and whipped cream.

And who knows what else.

So let's just dig in.

That's a huge portion.

We're sharing this.

Mmmm.

Wow.

I wish they had given.

Try that again.

I inhaled it.

We're keeping this.

We're keeping this.

I'm choking on dessert for eating too fast.

So is it like again?

I was going to say.

I wish they had given me a bigger spoon because it is so good.

I want bigger bites.

Bigger mouthfuls.

But maybe that is not a good thing because I'm choking.

How much did that come to?

That came to seventy three Lei.

And when you convert that into US dollars it was only eighteen dollars.

And keep in mind that was for three mains, three drinks and one shared dessert.

I haven't had a meal that was that good of quality and that good of value in a very long

time.

Stories of George Michael's Generosity Keep Surfacing - Duration: 1:15.

Stories of the late George Michael's charity and generosity keep surfacing after the untimely

death of the iconic pop singer.

Although Michael kept as low of a profile as possible, more and more individuals are

coming out and sharing their stories of the millions of dollars he helped raise, and also

donated to various charitable organizations and people in need.

Richard Osman Tweeted that Michael once gave a "Deal or No Deal" contestant $15,000

dollars for IVF treatment.

According to Us Magazine, the singer was involved with a variety of organizations, and helped

raise millions of dollars for relief in Ethiopia, gave millions the 24-hour young people counseling

service, Childline, and fought fervently to assist those living with HIV.

He also donated his time.

Emilyne Mondo revealed via Twitter that Michael "worked anonymously at a homeless shelter

I was volunteering at.

I've never told anyone, he asked we didn't.

That's who he was."

Michael will always be remembered for giving the world his music, but it appears that he

gave a whole lot more than his music catalog.

Who Really Invented the HARDFLIP? Not Daewon or Rodney! - Duration: 5:29.

If you look up who invented hardflips, you'll get a lot of answers that basically say nobody

knows.

Some will say Daewon did, some will say Rodney Mullen, but they're all wrong.

So, who was it?

Let's take a look.

Back in the 1992 video "Love Child", Daewon Song landed the first ever RECORDED hardflip.

Eric Koston followed up later that same year with the first recorded switch one.

But where did the trick actually come from?

In an episode of Epicly Later'd, Daewon talks about a kid named Dan Gallagher, and

how he might have been the first one.

He's talking a lot of trash about it, but I think he's just messing around.

I actually did hear of one person who did it.

This guy Dan Gallagher.

Rodney was saying that he thinks he did it, and I'm pretty sure he did do it, but I don't

want to give him full credit.

But who got it on film first?

Over a HUGE gap.

There's also a Transworld article with a quote from Rodney Mullen, where he says, "At

the time (1991), Dan was as technical as anybody I'd ever seen.

He was the guy who made up hardflips—the first person I'd seen do a nollie hardflip

and double nollie flips when nobody else could."

If Rodney Mullen said he was first, I've gotta take his word for it.

Nobody knows as much about technical skating and flip tricks as that guy.

But who is Dan Gallagher?

Dan was a very little-known skater.

He was in one video called Ground Rules in 1991, around the time he invented the hardflip,

but it's not actually in the video.

You can see some of the crazy stuff he was doing though.

He was probably the first to do a nollie 360 flip.

He says he met Rodney Mullen and showed him that trick, and that's how they became friends.

It blows my mind that people were doing nollie 360 flips, front foot impossibles and all

this really difficult stuff, but nobody had thought of the hardflip yet.

People were doing varial flips already of course, and frontside flips since at least

1989.

And yet, nobody put that together.

So this is Dan's story.

He used to do nollie backside 360 shove its a lot.

It's originally a freestyle trick.

People had been doing 540 and even 720 versions for years.

But in the late 80s, people were starting to take the trick to street, and even getting

a little bit of pop… but not much.

So Dan was doing this trick a lot and started to imagine throwing a kickflip in there…

which would actually be a nollie 360 hardflip.

He could do nollie 360 flips and figured it just HAD to be possible to do it the other

way.

Eventually, he kind of gave up on landing it and settled for the 180 version - what

we would call a nollie hardflip.

He learned them nollie, then switch, then regular, then fakie, and even started experimenting

with landing in pivots and things like that.

By the time Daewon recorded the first one, Dan had already done it in every stance.

OK, so what about the name 'hardflip'?

Dan says that he would have to tell people: "'It's a 180 Varial Kickflip…but frontside…the

hard way' and eventually I just called it the the Hardflip because I got sick of explaining

it."

Now I've made a few videos about hardflips and hardflip related tricks before, and I'm

always surprised to see people argue that hardflips are always vertical, and there's

a such trick as an 'inward kickflip'.

"A hardflip can't be flat, or it doesn't count."

Honestly, I thought that argument died out years ago, before the internet.

Dan's story about the name of the trick makes it obvious how it started out.

A frontside varial kickflip.

A hard way varial kickflip.

Or a hard __ __ flip.

Anyway, it took a while for the name to catch on.

In 92 and 93, Big Brother magazine had some interesting captions for tricks.

Here's Daewon doing a hardflip tailslide.

It calls it a 'frontside varial kickflip tailslide.'

Not technically wrong, but obviously the name hadn't gotten too far yet.

The next year, in 93, Rob Dyrdek did a backside bigspin heelflip on a bank, or a backside

inward heel.

The caption calls it a 'backside hardflip.'

That's pretty interesting… they kind of interpreted 'hardflip' as meaning 'the

hard way' in general, sort of like alley oop for body rotations.

If you ever want a laugh, read some of the early 90s skate magazines and check out the

trick names.

They're all over the place.

One issue, an inward heel is called a backside hardflip, but in the next it's called an

'inside heelflip.'

Nobody really knew what was going on because all this stuff was brand new.

Not too long after that, hardflips were starting to catch on, and there needed to be a standard

name for people to use, and it ended up being 'hardflip'.

So what do you think about Dan's story?

Now, of course, skateboarding is global.

Some unknown guy in the Philippines might have done a hardflip in 1985 for all we know.

But, to me, I think it checks out.

Rodney Mullen said he invented it, and he was doing a ton of advanced nollie stuff at

the time.

Even without footage, I think it's safe to say that he did actually land it first.

Now as far as all the details are concerned, like how he did it in every stance before

anybody else, and how the name actually came from him too… well that's all unprovable.

I don't know.

I tend to believe him, but you never really know.

That's all for this time.

What other tricks would you like to see me explore?

Do you know of any other unknown trick inventors?

Any unsung heroes who deserve some attention?

Let me know in the comments.

The Worst Movies of 2016 | Splash News TV - Duration: 1:49.

Unfortunately 2016 had its fair share of bad movies.

But we narrowed the list the worst ones of the year, so here they are.

Alice Through the Looking Glass was a poorly conceived and executed film that was doomed

from the start.

With an over-abundance of CGI and a torturous performance by the once-incredible Johnny

Depp, the result was an endurance test with no payoff or reward for viewers.

Hard to imagine it's a sequel from a billion-dollar franchise.

Sea of Trees was a reprehensible melodrama makes us think his golden touch is gone.

It was called the worst film of the 2015 Cannes Film Festival and hit American screens a year

later.

Of course, it didn't last very long.

The film was cliché and overdramatic and complete waste if McConaughey's talent.

The Girl on the Train was a literary sensation, but it was absolute dud once it went on screen.

The direction was muddled so much is squandered Emily Blunt's courageous performance…

surely robbing her of critical acclaim.

Luckily, there's always the book.

And we recommend you read that than watch this film.

Suicide Squad was so bad, even having Margot Robbie couldn't save it.

It wasn't funny, it's editing was nonsensical, and the script was beyond wooden and forgettable.

Plus, Jared Leto's Joker was a try-hard performance that completely missed the mark.

Sorry guys.

We wanted to like it.

We just didn't.

Zoolander 2 was a shame that was 15 years in the making… that kind of makes it even

harder to swallow.

There are a couple of gags worth a smile but the laughs are few and far between.

Plus, there's a cameo by Justin Bieber.

Thankfully the original is still enjoyable.

Fitness is Fun: Barre Ballet with Chris and Heidi Powell - Duration: 5:21.

>>So today, I'm at Barre 3 with my good friends Taylor and Kacey.

We are yet, again, exploring fitness because fitness should be fun.

If it's something that you feel like you have to do, well, you're not doing the right thing.

So we're gonna' go try out Barre Fitness over in Scottsdale.

We have our instructor, her name is Karie, I've heard her class is a killer, so we're

gonna' go see what it's all about.

>>Just wanted to explore Barre Fitness.

I've gotten so many questions from different people.

>>Yeah.

>>Saying, kay, is Barre Fitness good.

I don't know.

I'm not a very good dancer, as you guys both know.

So what's, what are we in for?

>>Awesome, so we're doing ummm really small range of movement with small like handheld

weights, very different >>Kay

>>When Karie started explaining to me what we were doing, it was like uhhh a bittersweet

moment, like sweet, because I didn't have to dance, but bitter because she said I had

to do core, and my core is probably by far and away the weakest part of my body.

>>Isometric holds, a lot of stability, core stability, balancing, postures, um, we do

it, set it to music, but you don't have to be coordinated

>>So I'm going to be like a good ballet dancer when I walk out of here?

>>I loved that she said that I didn't have to be coordinated.

That was like my saving grace.

I'm like, okay, I can probably do this class if I don't have to be coordinated.

>>So if you didn't notice, I had the lightest weights of the entire group.

I had my friends were getting 10 pounds, 8 pounds, and I had the 5 pounders.

And I'm the fitness guru, I'm the one who's supposed to like, do the heavy weight, but

I was, I was terrified.

I didn't know what to expect.

>>Within like 2 minutes, I was shaking.

And I, maybe within 30 seconds I was shaking because there were muscles in my quads I barely

use.

I focus a lot on like hamstrings, and if you follow me a lot, my butt.

But quads are something that are totally under utilized, so I was definitely feeling it.

>>I've lost so much strength just in the past year, but I've grown.

Right?

>>Yep, yep >>I'm trying to like make myself feel good

right now.

>>One thing about the class that I noticed is that I'm not throwing heavy weights around,

which to me, heavy weights have always meant a great exercise.

But, just these little tiny movements, and isometric holds, was seriously killing me.

It was amazing that just barely bouncing with your toes could fire my glutes, my hamstrings,

my quads, and then even adding in arms, I mean, it was quite the total body workout.

Completely unexpected.

But, so amazing.

>>(random talking) >>I'm done.

>>What you cannot hear in this video is that Karie keeps telling me, just do a few more

reps!

But a few more reps is like equating to 20, cuz 20 reps later, I'm still going.

I'm dying.

>>Good, yes, wow!

Thank you!

>>So if you're looking for total body toning, a wonderful core workout, and something low

impact, this is for you.

Pregnant women, postpartum women, you can totally do it because you're not throwing

around heavy weights, ummm, for me, I would give it on a scale of 1-10, probably ummm

a 7, just because for me, I like throwing around heavy weights.

But, if low impact is your thing, and you want something amazing for your body, go try

out Barre Ballet class.

You know what?

It's a lot of fun too.

So just go do it for the fun factor.

>>Karie, thank you so much, you guys come check out Barre 3 in Scottsdale, Arizona,

and subscribe to my YouTube channel if you haven't already.

Bye guys!

>>High five!

Thank you!

What's Really Happening When Your Hair Goes Gray - Duration: 3:46.

Sometimes it seems like the only thing worse than being old is looking old.

But while you may dread the arrival of gray hair, it's bound to happen sooner or later.

So what does going gray actually mean?

Here's a look at what's really happening when your hair goes gray.

Why hair goes gray

Your hair hasn't always been the same color that it is now.

Hair is white in utero until melanocytes begin to form, which causes hair to take on its

natural color.

But you know what they say: melanocytes giveth, and melanocytes taketh away.

According to Miami dermatologist Dr. Jill Waibel, "Melanocytes continue to introduce

melanin into the hair's keratin giving us the hair color we are born with.

As years progress, the enzyme called telomerase slows down the production of melanin and this

causes the hair to become lighter and lighter."

When will it happen?

Dr. Alan Bauman, board-certified hair restoration physician and hair science expert, says that

your genetics, more than your age, tends to determine when your hair will start to turn

gray.

"Similar to hair loss, gray is primarily the result of genetics.

You can look to your parents or grandparents for a glimpse of what the future may hold

for your locks."

"...looking at the camera."

"Holy God."

"And it smells good."

Your gender and ethnicity also has a lot to do with when you start to see gray hair.

A 2012 study determined that men are likely to go gray earlier, while Dr. Waibel told

us that "It is normal for Caucasians to begin to get gray hair in their mid 30s, Asians

in their late 30s, and African Americans in their mid 40s."

Other risk factors

Age and genetics aren't the only things that dictate when you start going gray.

There are other factors in your life — both in and out of your control — that can cause

it to happen faster.

Dr. Bauman told us, "For example, many things that detrimentally affect your health are

also thought to accelerate the appearance, and onset, of gray hair.

Diet, stress, poor sleep, medications, smoking, etcetera, can all impact the onset of the

appearance of gray hair."

And certain medical conditions, including Vitamin B-12 deficiency, Down syndrome, or

thyroid disease could also play a role.

Where will it start?

Going gray is a process that typically follows a pattern, appearing first around your temples

before slowly moving up and around your scalp.

If you're tempted to pluck those gray hairs when they appear, there is some good news:

that old wives tale about two more gray hairs taking its place is just a myth.

But before you start yanking your hair out, there is a more serious risk to keep in mind:

if you pluck your hair, it's possible the follicle may not grow back at all.

Gray or bald, it's your choice!

Your "other" hair

You know you're thinking it.

If the hair on your head is starting to gray, what about the hair — ahem — everywhere

else?

Good news.

Just because one turns gray doesn't mean the others are about to follow suit.

Hair on the rest of your body, like arms, legs and everywhere in between, may go gray

much later than the hair on your head — or maybe not all.

Thank goodness for small wonders.

It doesn't mean you're old

Gray hair may make you look older, but it doesn't necessarily mean you are older.

One major study looked for a link between heart disease, something we're more at risk

for as we age, and physical signs of aging like graying hair or wrinkles, and found no

correlation.

That reinforces the saying that you're as old as you feel — good news, right?

Reversible locks

Believe it or not, it may be possible to stop, reverse, or at least slow down the graying

of your hair.

Dr. Bauman said, "Some of the best ingredients to counteract the signs of aging hair include

caffeine and niacinamide, which are known for their anti-aging properties in the skin.

The Chinese herb Fo-Ti is purported to have a positive effect on reversing gray hair but

has never been proven scientifically.

"The best advice I have for men and women looking to reduce the signs of aging on your

hair is to focus on building better hair.

You can do this by eliminating risk factors like poor diet or other health issues, stress

management, add hair vitamins to your regimen, or you can also give your hair a boost with

low level laser therapy, topical prescription minoxidil, or platelet rich plasma treatments."

Or you can just rock your new shade of gray.

After all, feeling comfortable with the way you look is the most important thing of all.

What Was The First Viral Internet Meme? The origin of the ooga chaka dancing baby meme - Duration: 4:30.

Hello Internet!

And welcome to Behind The Meme!

Where we take a look at the meaning and the origin of your favorite memes and trends!

Today we have a look at the dancing baby!

So ever since I first created this channel I have been receiving requests for a video

looking into the history of the first meme ever created.

Well, I've actually looked into it quite a bit, and throughout my research I've discovered

that it's nearly impossible to identify the first meme for two primary reasons.

For one, the word meme was created by Richard Dawkins and is defined as "An idea, behavior,

or style that spreads from person to person within a culture."

meaning that things that have been around forever like handshakes, religion and even

telling somebody "Bless you" after they sneeze are all considered memes, And the second

reason is because most early activities on the internet when it was first created weren't

documented as well as they are now.

So there could very well be various memes that have been lost due to poor documentation

and time.

So instead I thought it would be an interesting video to look into one of the first memes

to gain mainstream recognition.

Which also happens to be the very first meme that I remember.

Plus it just turned 20 this year!

Which in meme years is a lifetime!

So what better time than now to have a look back at The dancing baby!

I'm sure all the younger viewers of my channel are wondering what in the hell I'm talking

about.

let me explain.

Let's take a trip back to the 90's …The dancing baby is…you guessed it, a dancing

baby.

It's a video of a 3-d baby dancing a pretty radical dance(Record scratch) What?

I told you were going back to the 90's.

They used to say radical in the 90's. as I was saying…

The video was created in 1996, which was a super tight year.

The videos dance animation was created by developers Michael Girard And Robert Lurye

as part of a sample file included in 3d animation software known as "Character Studio"

A man named Ron Lussier who was working at lucasarts at the time, took the file and began

to share it with his coworkers through email, who in turn shared it with other coworkers.

But It wasn't long before it started to appear in places beyond the original company

and coworkers, becoming an early version of viral video that was spread through email.

The baby began to be remixed and edited with various songs to accompany its dance.

The most popular of which was the song "hooked on a feeling" by the band blue swede.

The baby soon reached it's pinnacle of popularity when it was featured on the show Ally mcbeal

on January 5th, 1998, which was a popular television show that starred that one skinny

chick who banged that one dude And believe it or not the series regularly received millions

of viewers.

In the episode the dancing baby appears as a hallucination to ally mcbeal because she

was pregnant or she thought she was pregnant or something, you know what who remembers.

It was a long time ago, what matters is that the baby appeared on television and a lot

of people saw it.

After this appearance, due to the popularity of the show the baby started to appear on

every piece of merchandise you can imagine.

It also became a popular part of the pop culture of the decade.

It was parodied and replicated to no end.

As time went on it's popularity and relevance began to fade.

So there you have it the baby started off as a demo project for what is now outdated

software before catching it's big break on a popular television show.

Making it one of the earliest examples of internet meme.

But hey!!That's the internet for you and on the internet memes are keeng!

Thank you all so very much for watching! make sure to subscribe so you can catch my next

video and stay up to date on all your favorite memes.

Who knows you may learn about a meme you never knew about before!

I'll catch you tubular rad radical dudes next time!

JavaScript achievements 2016 and Frontend trends: #1.16 the latest News (the Good Parts) - Duration: 4:09.

Hi!

Let's talk about JavaScript achievements year 2016 and Frontend trends.

I'm Anatol and you are watching the Good Parts of the Frontend development.

Probably, the main achievement as a community this year is the JavaScript Foundation setup

by Linux Foundation.

The goal is to facilitate the collaboration within the JavaScript ecosystem and to maintain

the quality and provide sustainability to JavaScript.

Therefore, I expect that it'll help to create order out of chaos during the next years.

This year ES2016 aka es7 has been approved.

Just two new features, however, it means that medieval JavaScript is no more supported.

Maybe or maybe not.

So, we can expect several new features next year.

The next edition, ES2017, is expected to be finalized in middle 2017.

It will bring аsync/аwait functions.

According to Stackoverflow Developer Survey 2016 the JavaScript has been ranked number

1 as the Most Popular Technology in the world.

Moreover, RedMonk published the June'16 programming languages ranking and JavaScript is on the

first place.

Thus, I can declare that JavaScript is becoming the dominant technology not only for the web.

The most popular framework over recent years, I'm talking about Angular, this year was released

in a second version.

Now it's focused on the best facilitate large enterprise applications and it almost requires

TypeScript.

I guess, it's a big deal.

Another major trend 2016 is Vue framework.

It's a progressive framework for building user interfaces, designed from the ground

up to be incrementally adoptable.

It's something like React but faster and declarative one.

Facebook introduced Yarn, a new package manager compatible with npm registry and at the same

time: faster, more secure and reliable than npm.

It doesn't seem like everyone will start rushing into Yarn, but I assume, that Yarn will encourage

the development of NPM.

We'll see.

Okay, what is about upcoming year, 2017?

Eric Elliot outlined his opinion about "Top JavaScript Frameworks and Topics to Learn

in 2017" on Medium.

Among JavaScript and DOM Fundamentals, he grabs our attention to React and Redux, because

React is winning the mindshare and customer satisfaction battles.

Also, you might be interested in one more article, namely "The Languages, Frameworks

and Tools You Should Learn in 2017" by Martin Angelov on Tutorialzine.

He describes the current trends in web development, programming languages, frontend frameworks,

backend technologies and tools.

I believe, this post is not too long to read.

If you like this video give it "thumbs up", share it with your friends, subscribe to the

channel and watch other episodes.

This is all for this week.

Thanks for watching and Happy New Year!
