Japan's defense minister draws harsh criticism from Korea and China by visiting the controversial
Yasukuni Shrine,.... where war criminals from World War Two are enshrined.
This comes just a day after the one year anniversary of a bilateral agreement on Japan's wartime
sexual enslavement of Korean women.
Kwon Soa has more on Tokyo's continued glorification of its wartime aggressions... while displaying
lackluster efforts to make ammends.
Calling it "beyond deplorable",... Korea's defense and foreign ministries were quick
to respond to Japanese Defense Minister Tomomi Inada's visit to the controversial Yasukuni
Shrine on Thursday morning.
Both ministries released a statement saying the visit to the controversial site by Inada
not only honors war criminals, but also beautifies Tokyo's past colonial infliction and aggression.
It was the minister's first visit to the shrine since she took office in August,... but nonetheless
one that added to many other tributes by key Japanese figures to Japan's war dead, including
14 class A war criminals.
According to Korea's government the visit was made in spite of Seoul's emphasis on the
need for future-oriented Korea-Japan relations,... that are based on an honest view of history.
"The government once again makes clear that Japan could recover trust from its neighbors
and the international society only when its leaders face up to history correctly and carry
their self-examination and sincere repentance into action."
Lodging a protest to Inada's visit,... Seoul's defense ministry summoned Hideaki Takahashi,
the Japanese military attache in Seoul in the afternoon.
Likewise, the foreign ministry's director-general of the Northeast Asia Affairs Bureau, Chung
Byung-won strongly protested against the visit,... summoning Kohei Maruyama.... a minister at
the Japanese Embassy in Seoul.
China's foreign ministry also expressed its deep regret and opposition towards the visit
through its spokesperson.

Korea's giant crane to be shipped off as the nation's shipbuilders continue restructuring efforts - Duration: 3:47.
14 years ago, a ship-building company from Sweden was forced to sell its massive crane
to a Korean shipbuilder for just one U.S. dollar.
History repeats itself, but this time Korea is the one desperate to resuccitate its once-mighty
shipbuilding industry.
Kim Hyesung fills us in on the painful role-reversal.
A 32-hundred-ton Goliath crane stands tall at a shipyard in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do
Province.

The crane was once valued at over 22 million U.S. dollars but that's since plunged to two
million.
It's illustrative of the ongoing slump in the shipbuilding industry, which has forced
small and mid-sized Korean shipbuilding companies to close up shop and sell off their assets.
"This shipyard used to be bustling with workers.
But now it's all gone.
Two-thousand people have lost jobs.
It's heartbreaking."
A bit further south in the city of Geoje, home to the world's two leading shipbuilders,
the effects of the industry's demise are even more stark.
This government employment support center that opened last August is visited by over
150 people a day.
"I've worked at Daewoo Shipbuilding for 34 years.
I left last October.
I don't know what I can do other than building ships, so I came here to get job training,
and will hopefully find a new job soon."
Over 10-thousand people in Geoje have lost their jobs this year alone.
But with the volume of orders for new ships expected to remain at a third of normal levels
in the coming year, according to Clarksons Research, people with jobs still feel insecure.
"We don't have as much work as in the past.
No more nightshifts.
Our wages have been frozen since last year and the situation is pretty bad.
We rarely come out to have dinner together like today."
As workers tighten their belts, restaurants and retail stores in the area are also feeling
the strain.
- "This street used to be full of workers who
would hang out late until midnight.
But now, you rarely see people eating in restaurants after ten p.m.
Our sales have dropped by over half compared to the same period last year."
For the last four decades, the shipbuilding industry has played a critical role in Korea's
economic development.
But due to plunging global oil prices and overcapacity, even the nation's top three
shipbuilders have struggled to stay afloat in recent years.
And on top of that, they're in the process of working through an aggressive government-led
corporate restructuring drive to pull themselves back from the brink.
"Korea's shipbuilding industry has never been hit this hard.
But still, it is a cyclical industry.
The boom will come in a year or two.
Though the current restructuring process is painful, Korea needs to prepare itself and
keep its competitiveness."
As the corporate restructuring drive continues, many people are leaving Geoje -- streets and
apartments are empty and stores are closed.
Here, this winter feels colder and harsher than ever, and many are holding out hope for
an early spring.

Why is this UFO Spraying an Emerald Green Mist over California?

Alien hunters are perplexed by a set of photos showing what appears to be a UFO spraying
a greenish mist over a Californian neighborhood.
The sighting is currently under investigation by MUFON, the authority that reviews all such
cases.
According to the witness testimony, the UFO showed up over Huntington Beach, California
on a sunny summer day when visibility was great.
At first, the unnamed witness believed he was seeing a plane in trouble.
I looked up to see what I first thought was a passenger plane on fire,� he told MUFON
But this conviction did not last long.
Within a few seconds, the accidental bystander realized the object couldn�t have been a
plane.
It had a dome-like shape with a band of orange lights going around its circumference, a typical
UFO shape that is instantly recognizable.
At that moment, the eyewitness considered the possibility that the unidentified object
was experiencing some kind of technical difficulty.
However, no smoke or fire was visible so the emission of green vapor could have been a
deliberate action.
�The vapour trail didn�t seem to be coming from any particular vent or place on the craft,
it seemed to almost enshroud the craft and then slip off and fall behind,� the witness
added.
�It would leave a trail and dissipate within a few seconds.�
According to the eyewitness, the emission of green gas coincided with the UFO making
a rumbling sound.
He rumbling hiss seemed to increase in intensity coinciding with the billowing emerald green
shimmery misty vapour or smoke this craft was leaving in its wake.�
The strange, intense color of the ejected material was both �concerning and fascinatingly
beautiful,� the bystander claimed.
But as beautiful as it looked, the menacing aspect of the incident gave birth to strong
feelings of anxiety and all the way up to an overwhelming, visceral emotion.
Believing the vapor could be poisonous or radioactive, the witness almost threw up his
breakfast.
Fortunately, he was able to control himself and even managed to snap a few photos of the
UFO spraying an effluvium of green gas.
It�s difficult to discern the object�s size from the photos, but the witness states
that it was pretty large, around the size of a school bus.
This sighting raises a number of legitimate questions and their answers are not pleasant.
What was the UFO doing over California in broad daylight?
Was it having trouble or was it deliberately delivering a payload of chemicals?
If the green vapor was the result of malfunctioning systems, it would definitely prove the UFO
was using exotic matter as fuel.
In that case, the witness was right to fear the fumes could be poisonous or even radioactive.
Since he stated the vapor dissipated within seconds, it is safe to assume the vapor was
indeed physical and not some visual effect manifested by its cloaking systems.
Most UFO experts who�ve seen the photos agree that a UFO spraying a strange, noxious-looking
green vapor could not have been an accident.
It looks and sounds premeditated.
What we�d like to know is this: was the UFO piloted by aliens or our own kind?
The UFO/conspiracy community has been pretty vocal about its suspicions regarding man-made
or acquired UFOs being secretly operated with the intention of making the public believe
it was aliens.
Veiled by a misconception they seeded themselves, the human operators of the craft could perform
whatever experiment they pleased without fear of consequence.
The same scenario also applies if aliens were piloting the UFO.
There�s not much we could do about aliens performing experiments since their technology
is too far ahead of ours.
We can only speculate about their motivation and what they have in
store
for mankind.

Francis Crick (8 June 1916 � 28 July 2004) was an English scientist who was most noted
for being a co-discoverer of the structure of the DNA molecule in 1953 alongside James
D. Watson.
Francis Crick Watson and Maurice Wilkins were jointly awarded the 1962 Nobel Prize for Physiology
for Medicine �for their discoveries concerning the molecular structure of nucleic acids and
its significance for information transfer in living material.�
He was clearly a brilliant scientist who unfortunately, like many other brilliant minds who came up
with theories that challenged the accepted frameworks at the time, wasn�t given much
�press.�
In his book published in 1982, Life Itself, he argues that there is no possible way that
the DNA molecule could have gotten its start here on Earth and that it had to have come
here from somewhere else. Within the mainstream scientific community, the generally accepted
theory is that we are the result of a bunch of molecules accidentally bumping into each
other, creating life. However, according to Francis, we are the result of what is now
known as Directed Panspermia. Crick and a British chemist, Leslie Orgel, published their
paper on it in July of 1973.
Their theory explains that, �organisms were deliberately transmitted to earth by intelligent
beings on another planet. We conclude that it is possible that life reached the earth
in this way, but that the scientific evidence is inadequate at the present time to say anything
about the probability. We draw attention to the kinds of evidence that might throw additional
light on the topic.�
As far as Crick�s thoughts on the theory that we are the result of accidentally bumping
into each other, he thinks this was as likely as the assembly of a jumbo jet hit by a hurricane
in a junk yard. In other words, he thought the theory held little to no credibility.
When it comes to Crick�s theory, there have been some who expanded upon his work and have
actually found evidence of it. Perhaps Crick had some evidence or he was able to connect
some dots? After all, theories like this aren�t just born out of nowhere and this gentleman
won the Nobel Prize for the study of DNA. Thoughts like this should not be taken lightly
and evidence should be examined to see if it�s a plausible hypothesis.
Please keep in mind while reading this article that, although we�ve discovered much, we
have yet to identify the biological functions of large portions of our DNA. There is so
much mystery wrapped in what could possibly hold the answer to life itself and the origins
of the human race.
A few years ago, Chandra Wickramasinghe, the Director of the Buckingham Centre for Astrobiology
at the University of Buckingham in the U.K., published a paper regarding their supposed
findings of the first-ever evidence of extraterrestrial life found in a celestial body.
At the time, Wickramasinghe pointed out to Huffington Post how, in 1962:
�Hoyle and I pioneered the theory of carbon grains in space to replace the old ice grain
theory. This was vehemently resisted by the astronomical community at the outset, but
with the dawn of infrared spectroscopy, the ice grain theory gave way to the carbon dust
theory. Over a few years, after a great deal of model-fitting, we came to the conclusion
that material similar to biomaterial fitted all the available data in astronomy. We considered
the possibility that microbiology had a universal character, and no observations in astronomy
or new information from biology has provided contrary evidence.If only ideas that are considered
orthodox are given support through award of grans or publication opportunities, it is
certain that the progress of science will be stifled as it was throughout the middle
age.�
English Astronomer Sir Fred Hoyle and Wickramasinghe are considered co-developers of the panspermia
theory. In another paper that Wickramasinghe co-authored in 2012 titled �Non-terrestrial
origin of life: a transformative research paradigm shift,� he points out that, �For
nearly five decades, evidence in favour of a non-terrestrial origin of life and panspermia
has accumulated which has not been properly assessed. A point has now been reached that
demands the serious attention of biologists to a possibly transformative paradigm shift
of the question of the origin of life, with profounds implications across many disciplines.�
It�s interesting to think about, isn�t it? We are indeed, as Author Graham Hancock
noted, like species with amnesia. We still don�t completely know where we came from
and how we got here.
What About The Fact That We Are Probably Not Alone & That We Are Probably Being Visited?
�There is a serious possibility that we are being visited and have been visited for
many years by people from outer space, from other civilizations. That it behooves us,
in case some of these people in the future or now should turn hostile, to find out who
they are, where they come from, and what they want. This should be the subject of rigorous
scientific investigation and not the subject of �rubbishing� by tabloid newspapers.�
The quote above comes Lord Admiral Hill-Norton, the former Chief of the Defence Staff and
5 star Admiral of the Royal Navy. That�s the highest possible rank of the British Royal
Navy, similar to General Dwight Eisenhower�s 5 star rank in the United States. He was also
Chairman of the NATO Military Committee. These are definitely positions to be �in the know�
about what is going on, at least to some extent.
If you are unaware, there have been hundreds of witnesses carrying impressive backgrounds
that have been in the position to �know� about these things. To compliment this testimony,
we also have evidence in the form of documents from several different government/military/intelligence
agencies.
Given this evidence, the possibility that this is happening is very real and if you�d

to its position in front of our Sun.
No, we�re not sure it�s a Borg Cube, but that doesn�t mean its intentions are benign.
The enormous cube-shaped UFO was spotted near our Sun on December 22 by myunhauzen74 of
YouTube, a conspiracy theorist known for his stance on NASA and the truth he believes they
keep hidden.
In the photos released by NASA�s SOHO (Solar and Heliospheric Observatory), a cube the
size of Earth can be seen hovering near the star that gives us warmth. While some speculate
that the cuboid shape is the result of NASA censorship done to hide the actual craft,
there are others who invoke pretty convincing arguments in favor of the cube UFO hypothesis.
According to UFO hunter Scott Waring, the object in the photos appears to reflect sunlight
and therefore must be a solid object.

on his blog. �The light is going out further than other places around the sun. This means
the light is reflecting off the dark surface of the UFO and the UFO is getting hit by the
Sun�s heat.�
If this object is indeed a physical UFO, it definitely has a vetted interest in our Sun.
Many UFO experts believe aliens could harness the power of our star and transform it into
energy they could use. Some even speculate that the Sun�s immense power output could
be manipulated into tearing the space-time around it, opening up a wormhole for the aliens
to use.
The precise geometric form of the enigmatic presence could be enough to suspect it has
an artificial origin. But that origin could be more prosaic than you think. NASA maintains
that it is an image artifact, the result of cameras recalibrating themselves.
This explanation fails to convince UFO hunters who are determined to get the truth out one
way or another. They claim that this UFO was photographed dozens of times in the past few
years, a testament to the persistent presence of advanced aliens in our Solar System.
