2016 Stitching Wrap Up & 2017 Lack of Plans Flosstube - Duration: 31:13.
hey guys welcome to my 2016 wrap up video
i hope you had a Merry Christmas and a
Happy Hanukkah and Kwanzaa i hope you
ate too much and laugh too much and
stitched too much and partied like it was
1999 all over again
99 was a really good year was it not? i had
a great christmas my sister bought me
this shirt and I'm wearing it for three
days I just washed it and got it out of the
dryer again I don't know what kind of
magic is in it but it is the most
comfortable thing I've ever put on my
body
it's called a cuddle dud and I don't
ever want to wear anything else for the
rest of my life. it has thumb holes and
these are so you can pretend like you're
one of those girls that dances with
danny kaye during the choreography
number of white Christmas
that's what these are for perfect
so in this video I'm going to go over
the things that I finished in 2016
I did more stitching than I've ever done
in my life in a year this year I don't
know
yeah i did a lot of stitching and I have
a lot of finishes a couple of that
you've never seen I haven't showed them
on my channel before so hopefully it
won't be completely boring so we'll talk
about cross stitch again I've said this
to a couple people on like the messenger
but do you ever have those moments where
you're like I'm making videos about
cross stitch I'm once again watching
videos about cross stitch it's just
strange and wonderful and strange. so
here we go again another video about
cross stitch i'm going to show you these
things in the order that i have finished
them pretty much and the first five are
my patterns and that's just how it went
down this year so all the links to
everything i'm going to talk about will
be down below if you're interested in
anything i stitch this year so first
thing I finished was from my valentine
day....i did like five new
patterns for Valentine's Day this year
and it is a snarky heart that says can
you not. I don't even remember stitching
this but apparently I did because look
here it is this was my first finish in
the hoop if I'm being completely honest
I never finished anything in a hoop
before didn't know how to make bows
because look at that I'm a really bad
bow maker and i have learned how to make
them better thanks to Vonna the twisted
stitcher but there we go i need to
redo this bow another thing i need to
redo is the back. looks fine and the
finishing is good it's tight but
I need to put some batting in these
because they kind of sinks in a little
bit even though it's tight
it needs something in the middle so
lesson learned
the second one is another Valentine's
Day piece is called remember how we fell
in love so sweet and it's bunnies and
snow and birch trees i really liked
doing this one I think it's nice i like
about finished not that all these are in
class because i love you but I don't
love you enough to disassemble all these
so you can see them better
sorry
the third finish is another hoop that
needs batting
better bow
it is home sweet home and it's just an
Indiana piece cute my favorite colors
because I just can't get enough aqua with
red adorbs third piece is my Shakespeare
piece will show you in a second but this
was the second piece i have stitched in
hand and the last piece i will stitch in
hand I didn't mind the process of
stitching in hand so much i think my
stitches look a little bit neater
I don't know why um from stitching in
hand but i just cannot get over
manhandling my fabric I wash my hands
before I stitch but you know your hands
are never completely clean if you didn't
know that
there you go your hands are never
completely
yeah we're not... okay side story when i
was in college
uh one of this one of the girls in my
dorm was a nursing student and she had
to do this like presentation of how
dirty your hands actually are so we're
all sitting around in this room and she
did some sort of speech for this project
she was doing and she made us go wash
our hands in the dorm bathroom and then
come back and shut the lights off and
she had some sort of light that showed
the germs on your hands and of course we
all like had neon green hands that were
not actually clean so i can't get that
out of my head I can't unlearn that and
so feeling up my fabric it's just not
for me
here's William Shakespeare is my homeboy
I love this piece i love the colors I
love his little pony tail and his goatee
and I love Shakespeare so here yes
the next piece is you can't touch this
my father's day MC Hammer mashup i love
this piece
I can't say it's my bestseller
definitely not but I think it's adorable
and I really enjoyed it i might actually
give this to my dad this year I never
actually intended to give this to my dad
because I I like it too much and he
doesn't watch my videos
you better believe it
ok the next pattern is by dork stitch it
is
come to the dark side we have cookies I
did this twice and finished it twice and
I will never do that again I think 2016
was the year I learned all the things
that will never do again I will never
again stitch a pattern twice it was for
a good cause this is the easy pattern
and worked up quickly but it was so it
was boring
I'll be honest it's adorable my son
loves it i'm glad i stitched it for my
son and my nephews
I like how it turned out but never again
I will never stitch the same pattern
back to back
I don't know how you guys do it i know
some people were talking about their
ornaments and like doing the same thing
for all their kids
wow you're a better person than I
because no I finish this
the lazy way I will never do that again
i bought one of those sticky pieces of
cardboard that you use for finishing
needlepoint and it was a nightmare
I did it to save time but i think i'd
actually took me more time because it's
just really hard to work with that
sticky stuff on it was really these
lines are completely straight but there
are straight as I could possibly finagle
them and it's just it's very not
forgiving
it's very bumpy i won't i won't be able
to show you that but i can see the
unevenness of how you know some parts of
the fabric or sticking really well and
some parts are and maybe I didn't do it
right but I also stitch this is on 16
count and because i'm a coverage freak i
stitch with usually too many strands so
i did this with i think i did it with
three
yeah i did this with three strands and I
think Darth Vader has four strands
because I always add an extra strand for
white and black
so this is some pretty thick stitches so
naturally the parts of the fabric that
don't have stitching on them are sunk
lower because they're sticking onto that
piece of cardboard and my stitches are
raised up just looks terrible
um so staff learns not to take the easy
way out
my son loves this and he doesn't care
and he'll never notice so there you go
one of my favorite finishes for the year
this was my pride and prejudice blessing
i just love this piece
um and I love seeing the different
finishes that people have done this has
been given for like a christening gift
and um different occasions
it's just I'm really proud of this
yeah what else going to say this is a
really quick stitch you don't like back
stitching i wouldn't recommend it
because most of the text is back
stitched but it goes really quickly and
I think it's beautiful so pride and
prejudice blessing
alright I'm going to look at my notes
because I'm just pattern away i'm not
paying attention i finished my Advent
animals that's in my last video if you
want to check those out hanging up on
the wall and I don't want to brag in
here
to show to you again your thought um I
finished festive friends my cat and
mouse piece i will show you that in my
next video because reasons I didn't iron
it and what else
all right i'm gonna show you my favorite
piece that I finished in 2016
I get emotional over this cross stitch I
I made it for sentimental reasons so I'm
kind of I don't know it and I don't get
to look at it a lot because it's not
finished its rolled away and so when i
actually get it out look at it like I
love this piece
it is going to market by Julia Cairns
this is by dimensions. I just
think it's gorgeous I love the colors I
love the background i love i love
everything about it
let's just gaze at it together
I need to fo that big time tho those are
all the things that i stitched and
finished i'm going to show you two
things that I didn't stitch but I
finished and I get to keep
don't you wish that was a category and
your list things. you didn't stitch them but
you have them and you get to keep uh this
next piece is one of my patterns it
is smokey the grammar police only you
can prevent bad grammar
ashleigh Morgan stitched this for me her
stitching is impeccable
it's lovely and then I got to ffo it and
keep it as one of my models i will link
Ashley's channel down below she has some
gorgeous gorgeous projects she's doing
portrait of Veronica faster than the
blue blazes so check out her channel
down below but her stitching is lovely
and I'm so glad that um yeah so glad
that I get to have this it's an
important message that needs to go out
into the world
the second thing i have to show you that
i did not personally stitch is stinkin
adorable and it was stitched by my
ten-year-old daughter Phoebe. Phoebe has
done embroidery and needlework before
but she's totally new to cross stitching
one day she just picked up my world
of cross stitching magazine and fell in
love with some Durene Jones ornaments
that were in the last issue and decided
to stitch so she stitched this and i
finished it into an ornament thanks to
Vonna's pillow ornament tutorial and here
it is . she put her initials
and the corner
this is adorable this is the most
adorable thing hanging on my tree now
and she made my heart happy
Phoebe is my crafty girl and she cracks
me up
you know I don't think that she's
actually paying I I don't think she's
paying attention to like my cross stitch
blah blah blah that I do but she is one day we were
sitting at the table and she opened up a
issue of World of Cross Stitching
she's looking at this pattern it was a
woman i don't remember which pattern it
was but there's a lady in a dress and
she's looking at it and she says mom
this pattern could really use some back
stitching and she was totally right
that pattern needed some backstitching
hilarious at first I was like what did
you just say that this pattern is some
back stitching. i had two
give up this year the first being dance
at Bougivoul by Renoir that was my full
coverage piece that I just decided I
didn't like the definition in the
pattern and i also didn't like stitching
full coverage so tried it not for me i
will admire your full coverage pieces
from afar the second give up
I'd never admitted to its spring
delivery by Plum Street samplers I was
having such issues with the colors on
that pattern
um didn't match the picture and i am not
blaming the designer or anything but you
know how that drives you crazy when you
bought the pattern because you like the
picture and then it didn't work out like
the colors don't match the picture and
yeah I did the floss toss didn't like
the colors and stupidly thought that if
I stitch the colors in the fabric but
that would make a difference now don't
you
yeah and then i tried to do some color
swapping after i started with the
original color scheme and I just had it
up to here uh and i ended up adopting
that WIP to tricia at three owl
threads and she is taking care of it and
feeding it and loving it
yeah and I don't regret doing that at
all
life is too short to be stitching on
something that makes you want to pull
your hair out so I first for this year
was stitching with petite treasure
braid i really enjoy that stuff and i
look forward to stitching with it more
yeah so looking forward to 2016 17 2017
i hope to finish all the WIPS that I
have going on right now so that would
include Song of Solomon sampler, giant
harry potter, and and forest grew i think
i'll be able to finish giant harry
potter by mid-summer. and a forest grew will
probably take me most of the year to
finish up that pattern is just so
gigantic and that is one of the lessons
I feel like I learned this year on the
gigantic patterns i don't know i do
enjoy the process of stitching big
patterns and I think having that
experience with the advent animals and
getting so many blocks done a month
really was fun and then I turned around
and started to gigantic pieces I don't
know I i like the process of actually
finishing things and I don't like
letting things linger but yet I'm drawn
to such a gigantic patterns I don't know
how to sort that out in how I work
through things
No
but it's not a huge deal because i enjoy
cross-stitching I don't like
micromanaging it i don't like setting
huge goals I don't like forcing myself
to do things I don't want to do this is
my area fun and so I'm not going to
hyper analyze it but i do want to finish
those two gigantic pieces and yeah I
don't know whatever right whatever
possible starts i do want to start a
mother and child that's another Julia
Cairns piece that have the kit for also
want to start my Julia line French named
piece LaBrie De Noe I want to start that
one I don't know we'll see i have a list
of things that have interested in and
that i would like to start but i would
like to finish these big giant pieces
before I get too involved in a bunch of
other projects
yeah things I want to work on next year
i have attention issue and I didn't
realize that I had attention issue until
I was stitching on that damask ada is
really really soft and so all of a
sudden I was noticing gaping holes and
um that's not good i remember vana
saying something to the effect that um
you know she knows all that how it's
supposed to be perfect because she's
trying to win the grand champion of the
fair that she goes to but um if you hold
your whip up to the light and you can
see holes distinct holes you have
attention issue and I don't think I
noticed it as much because i was doing
so many projects on aida for my
store and I you know overload my strands
of loss because i like really really
thick coverage
that there's no room to have holes but
have noticed on my giant harry potter
which is on lugana and that i have holes
i have holes and so I needham I need to
lighten up on my attention but it's one
of those issues that you have to
constantly be keeping yourself aware of
or you just fall back into habit of
attention that you're used to
so I've been working on that but it's
not known so hot
um yeah I need a lot i need to lighten
up on my attention and not pull it pull
my loss so hard
okay um the other thing that I want to
work on is my tails all sounds so
bizarre i need to work on my tails so
how many stitches do you run your your
needle through to finish off a strand I
go a little nuts and i need to stop
doing that as we have a real issue on my
and forest grew where you have a motif
that's this big and has seven colors and
so you're finishing off seven colors in
this little time space and when you're
like me and you want to run your needle
through about 10 stitches before you cut
the thread that doesn't go so hot so i
need to stop doing that and what's the
minimum i feel comfortable with six
cutting back to six but i know that you
probably don't need to do that either
right maybe three how many stitches do
you go behind i would love to know those
are my issues
sorry about that my camera did its thing
so those are my cross stitch issues that
I have to get sorted out
so yeah that's pretty much all i have to
talk about let's see what i got for
christmas i asked my husband for a new
perfume that i picked up myself at the
store I sprayed it on my grocery list
and tester bottle looked pretty normal
you know it doesn't they don't have like
all the frills that the you know normal
perfume that you buy because they're
just testers so I sprayed it on my
grocery list and it was amazing so I
said okay go get me this perfume has
really stupid name and then I opened it
on Christmas and here's what the bottle
looks like
what so apparently my alter ego is a
female rapper but this stuff smells
amazing i'm going to tell you the name
don't judge me it is viva la juicy juicy
couture
what in the world but it smells like
magic and rainbows and the Scottish
sunset really good at describing scents
so the succulent died
it wasn't its death throes for about two
weeks so I kept it by my bedside and it
crossed the rainbow bridge so I think
for the sake of the environment i'm not
going to be getting any more houseplants
because i have a record
what else is there to talk about
you're just sitting there stitching
right
top 5 books i read this year i'll give
them to you i read 49 looks this year
which sounds like an incredibly large
number but for me it is incredibly small
in 2014
I read a hundred and fourteen books
which now sounds like I was insane i
wouldn't put that out of the question
top 5. the best book I read this year
was drumroll gone with the wind by
margaret mitchell that look is amazing
it is a thousand pages law and I didn't
want it to end it was incredible i have
never seen the movie so I walked into it
completely blind
I of course knew the last line that
Rhett says in the book or at least in
the movie uh it was it was incredible i
have a hard time picking up a book that
big because i know it's going to take me
forever to read and it could have been
2,000 pages long
it was really really good
there are a few pages of haha total
racial nonsense where Margaret Mitchell
goes into her theory of how black people
are not very smart but other than that
there wasn't there was less gardless of
that garbage and I thought there would
be i'll just put it that way there was
just a few pages that made me want to
gag but um amazing story number two
would be the circle by dave eggers that
book is it's not like an amazing piece
of literature that you're going to drag
your grandchildren about it just
explores the idea of transparency and
internet and audience and it's just
really interesting
yeah i could go on about that one but
well the movies coming out this year it
looks terrible what's happened to Tom
Hanks that's what I'm wondering
used to be this great thing now he's
made some good movies he's just like in
everything and now he's becoming like
this stock old man character the movie
looks bad
read the book alright what else that i
read this year i said on top five
numbers thinking off the top of my head
oh all the light we cannot see by
Anthony Doerr that we've got a lot of
hype this year
well deserved that was an amazing story
beautifully written
aah suspenseful some serious it's lovely
it's just an awesome story I think
anyone would enjoy that book it's just
it's heartwarming
I'm not a booktuber what do you want it
was an amazing story
go read it another book that I really
liked was my brilliant friend by Elena
Ferrante that would also got a lot of
well-deserved type it was amazing that
lady can write I mean it's basically
just a story of two best friends growing
up in Italy and that sounds really
boring but it was completely captivating
ended up reading the whole series but
the first one is definitely the cream of
the crop my brilliant friend just
getting it was a top-four list because i
can't remember anything else that i read
so let's wrap this up i don't have a
career as a booktuber
I hope you ring in the new year with
style happy stitching everyone I from me
to you a very heartfelt I enjoy your
videos and your comments you guys the
cross-stitch commune really needs to
be a thing just saying we really need to
do that it's should be our retirement
plan that we are going to move to the
Pacific Northwest with our stitching
stash and race cats and live in your
tits and enjoy each other's company
enough said talk to you guys next time

How to Drink: Champagne Cocktail - Duration: 3:14.
- This is How to Drink, the show
about making cocktails and how to drink them.
I'm Greg, and, I have never been professional bartender,
I've never even had a job in a bar.
I don't worry too much about precision and technique,
'cause at the end of the day,
if the drink you like is in the glass,
you did it right.
Let's get going.
So as much as I love classic cocktails,
and modern cocktails, and making cocktails,
and drinking cocktails,
I like classic movies maybe even a little bit more.
This week we're gonna make a drink
in honor of one of my favorite movies
of all time, Casablanca.
Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, Peter Lorre.
Ingrid Bergman spent much of the movie drinking these,
this is the champaign cocktail.
So we're gonna make a champaign cocktail this week,
let's get right into it.
Of course you're gonna need champaign,
we're also going to need a little brandy,
I'm gonna throw some absinthe in it,
just one dash, that's definitely not necessary,
I just really like champaign and absinthe together,
your millage may vary, this is up to you.
And I'm gonna use Angostura bitters.
This is definitely the bitters that Rick
would've been pouring into his champaign cocktail.
I'm gonna put a little twist on it,
a lotta times this would be traditionally made
with a sugar cube, which to me is great,
it provides a wonderful effervescence
as it's nucleation point for the bubbles in the champaign,
but I like the mouthfeel of a gum syrup instead,
you could do it either way.
So we're just gonna add half an ounce of brandy,
into the bottom of our mixing glass.
You can add a bar spoon to as much as a quarter ounce
of gum syrup if you're going that way,
or simple syrup, or just a sugar cube.
I'm gonna do a healthy bar spoon of gum syrup in there.
Two dashes of Angostura bitters.
Just one dash of absinthe.
Obviously we don't have a whole lot in our mixing glass,
but that's okay.
That's it, quick stir.
I'm just gonna strain that very quickly into my coupe.
I'm using a big coupe for this,
certainly there's nothing wrong with using
something like a champaign flute,
or even a collins glass if you wanna serve this on ice.
Pop your champaign, top it up.
Why do I love Casablanca?
Well, who doesn't wanna be Rick Blaine, you know?
George Raft actually turned down the part,
George Raft is a great actor of the gangster era.
Raft had recently turned down the lead roles
in both the Maltese Falcon and High Sierra.
If you know a little bit about Bogart's career,
you know that Raft's poor judgement is a huge
contributor to Bogart's spotlight.
I don't know why, I just really like the way
the bright red ball of cherry,
looks sitting at the bottom of a coupe like that.
Have I gone too far now?
Now that I'm going full ridiculous.
And there you have it, classic cocktail,
the champaign cocktail.
It's a tasty way to drink champaign,
and honestly champaign, as good as it is,
this is maybe better.
If you have very, very good champaign,
maybe don't adulterate it,
but, I only buy cheap champaign, I don't know.
That's a good drink.
It's really, actually, I love the absinthe.
The absinthe in that, transforms that.
I say that about absinthe in everything,
but it really does, that's a good drink,
that's a good drink.
If you like the show, subscribe,
if you're enjoying it, I'd love to hear
about it in the comments.
Thanks for watching the show,
I'll see you guys next week,
Here's looking at you kid.
That is the worst Bogart, oh my god.

What is the difference between being on key and on pitch? - Duration: 5:45.
Hi I'm Chuck Gilmore with Power To Sing.
Today I'm doing this video from Brooklyn, NY.
I'm visiting family here for the holiday season, approaching the New Year in a few
days, and this afternoon I'm in my daughter's apartment in Brooklyn.
So the back gound's a little bit different.
The video's a little bit darker.
I've got a candle for light and another lamp in front of me.
So that does change things a little bit.
I hope you enjoy this video on singing on pitch and singing in key.
What's the difference between being on key and on pitch?
Hi, I'm Chuck Gilmore with Power To Sing.
I recently received this question.
Question: "Can you please do a video on singing on key?
I'm a beginner and don't even know what this means.
I understand what pitch matching on a piano is but not what singing in key is.
So could you do a ...video on this?
What is the difference between being on key and on pitch?"
Answer: People often use " on key" and "on pitch" interchangeably.
Technically there's probably a difference.
Western music is written and performed in different keys.
For example, "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" might be written in the Key of C Major.
If, while you are singing, it was too low or too high, you can raise or lower the key.
Up a whole step would be the key of D Major.
Down a 1/2 step would be the key of B major.
The tune you hear would be the same, except the key is raised or lowered.
In any of these Keys, B major, C Major or D Major, if you sing one wrong note, you would
be singing in the correct key, but singing an incorrect pitch.
If you miss several notes, you incorrectly sing several pitches.
This creates a dissonance.
For example the key of C. [Demo] Key of C. Now if I sing the incorrect pitch in the Key
of C it might sound like this.
[Demo] So I got back to the key, but within that I missed several of the pitches.
Now I could sing, [Demo] So I sang again in the key of D but I missed a pitch or two there.
Or I could sing it in the key of B. [Demo].
So I missed a pitch but I was singing in the key of B.
The pitch that is being played and the incorrect pitch you are singing fight against each other
and it sounds wrong to the listener.
If you only missed a few of the pitches, it could be said you were singing in the right
key, but sang several of the pitches incorrectly.
If you sang all of the notes incorrectly so the listener couldn't recognize the tune at
all, it might be said: "the singer sang so off pitch I couldn't recognize the tune or
the melody, nor was there a recognizable key."
For example if I said: [Demo] I wouldn't recognize that as "Twinkle Twinkle Little
Star".
In other words, there were so many wrong pitches the key couldn't be determined either.
On the other hand, if you missed several pitches but sang most of them right, it could be said,
" I could tell you were in the Key of C, but you were off pitch on several notes."
Key of C [Demo] So we might recognize the key, but there were several pitches off.
You can be off pitch on several notes in any key.
Singing on the right pitch is important.
Even marginal singers, if they can sing on pitch, can have a great career and huge numbers
of fans.
But singers who miss the pitches don't succeed.
Knowing your vocal type and singing on pitch is vitally important.
Go to PowerToSing.com and take the vocal test which I call the PowerTest.
Take the quiz and discover your vocal type.
This reveals what you tend to do when you sing through the first bridge of your voice.
For example if you tend to pull chest voice, your vocal type is Pulled Chest-High Larynx.
Go to the Knowledge Center and watch the videos about your vocal type.
Download the free exercises and start practicing them.
If you do not sing them on pitch, you will not maximize the benefit from the exercises.
You must be careful to match the pitches of the exercises with your voice gain the most
benefit.
I'm Chuck Gilmore with PowerToSing.com.
You can sing higher with beauty, confidence and power.
I'll see you inside the next video.

2016 Book Spending! [CC] - Duration: 10:59.
Hey everyone, my name is Kylie and this is
Miss Kyle Reads and today I'm coming to
you with a little bit of a different
video. I thought I would talk to you guys
about my 2016 book spending habits. Now
this is kind of a topic that not a lot
of people talk about. I wanted to
actually look at myself, write down all
the books that I have purchased or
acquired in 2016 and actually see in
dollar amounts how much I've been
spending on books. Now this is just for
2016 and let me preface this video by
saying that I am a book collector. Look
at the books behind me.
This is my hobby, I have a Booktube
channel. This is what I like to do and I
like the look of books and I like to
collect books, so obviously my spending
habits are going to be much larger than
some people's but some people's might even
be larger than mine and that's okay. You
are at liberty to spend your money on
whatever you want to. After bills and gas
and groceries and necessities, books is
basically all that I spend my money on
and I'm perfectly happy doing that. Let
me also say that this is something that
I like to do. I love to analyze expenses
and finances because that's just
something that I enjoy doing.
Not a lot of people are going to find
enjoyment out of this video but I do and
that's all that matters.
So if you are a dorky nerd about
expenses and finances like I am, I think
you're going to enjoy this video. So I'm
basically going to break down all of my
expenses.
I'm not going to tell you every single
book that I purchased in 2016
but I am going to try to put screen
grabs on the screen of my spreadsheet
that I've created for this video. So in
2016
I acquired in total 73 books. Now that's
pretty good I would say because in 2016
I have read a total of like 72 books I
think so I'm on track with buying as
many books as I'm reading per year so
that's all right by me. Of the 73 books I
have acquired this year, I have read
about 54% of them and
anything above 50% I would say
is pretty good because I'm actually
reading the books that I'm purchasing or
I've read the
books in E-format and I'm getting
physical copies so I have already read
them and I just want physical copies to
look at on my shelf. So of the books that I
acquired in 2016, 54 of
them were purchased with my own money
and 19 of them were gifts. Gifts can mean
somebody else bought them while I was in
the store with them or I had a gift card
or a Christmas gift.
Those are all included in the gifts,
somebody else purchased these books or
somebody else purchased a gift card and
I used them to buy books. So now we are
getting into actual dollar amounts and at
this point of the video I will ask you
to keep in mind that this is what I do
for a hobby. This is what I love doing.
I collect these things so I'm okay with
spending this money but if you have an
opinion about it, please just keep it to
yourself and think to yourself that
people love spending money on things
that they love to do and this is what I
love to do. So of the books that I
purchased myself which was 54 books this
year, I spent a total of $423.08.
Now these are just rough estimates
because I didn't have a receipt to go
back and look at every single book that
I purchased but rough estimates. And of
the 19 gifts that were gifted to me this
year, they totaled $290.83
so that total comes
out to be $713.91. Now
that is a lot for books. I did not
realize how much I actually spent on
books this year so that number was super
enlightening and what I can do with this
information is try to be better about my
book spending in 2017. These are just all
of the physical books that I have
purchased or been gifted in 2016
but you remember I have ebooks and
audiobooks that I also have purchased and
read in 2016.
So what I do for e-books and audiobooks,
I am a member of Scribd, I'm not sure, I
will put a link to the website down
below but that is a service that charges
you $8.99 monthly I believe and you can
get as many e-books as you want that is on
the Scribd app or you can download I
think it's three audio books a month so
that's really good. I'm a really slow
audiobook listener so I only listen to
like one audiobook in three
months so that's really good and that's
a lot cheaper than a lot of other sites
that I've heard of. But the downside to
that is that they don't have as wide of
a selection, but they do have Robin Hobb,
they had George RR Martin and a lot of
good ebooks. This is how I'm finding some
lesser-known fantasies in my ebooks. So
yes they do have those authors. I've seen
a lot of Brandon Sanderson on there. So
if we're including my Scribed or
Scribd, I don't know how you say that.
If you're including that expense, that came
out to $107.88
which brings my total for books in 2016
up to $821.79.
So now that we've talked about the total,
I decided to break it up a little bit
more and this breakdown of these numbers
are just for physical books, I believe. I
broke it down per month, per day, and per
book so these first numbers are in total.
So in total, per month I spent $68.48
on
books which is a lot. That breaks
down to $2.25
per day and that doesn't seem so
bad. And per book that comes out to $9.78
so
that's pretty good. That's less than $10
a book. That's a lot less than
retail value at big book stores. That was
the total amount, now I'm going to just
talk about the books that I purchased on
my own in those same breakdowns. So of my
own money per month I spent $35.26
on books
which is a lot better because that comes
out to only $1.16
per day so that's not so bad. That comes
out to $5.80 per
book which is a lot better than $10
per book. Now let's break it down
between only me and only gifts for my
price per book. So only me with 54
books comes out to an average price per
book of $7.83.
My total gifts which was 19 books,
which is a lot less, the average price
per book for that is $15.31
and that is a lot. This
information tells me that I let other
people spend more money
on books for me such as buying books
from Barnes & Noble and that means that
I get deals off a Book Outlet and Amazon
with free shipping.
Sorry Elena's being a little noisy. Hello girl.
So this would be like somebody getting a
Barnes & Noble gift card for my
graduation, which happened. A $50
Barnes & Noble gift card so I went to
Barnes & Noble and I spent $50
on books. So then I broke it down by how
much I'm spending per place that I buy
my books. So the places that I purchased
books from in 2016 was Amazon, Barnes
& Noble, Books-a-Million, Book Outlet,
Half-Price Books, and Target. In total I
purchased 16 books from Amazon, 17 books
from Barnes & Noble, one book from
Books-a-Million, 27 books from Book
Outlet, 6 books from Half-Price Books,
and only 4 books from Target which
comes out to my total of 73
books. That does not include my two books
that I got for Christmas
just this past Christmas. So I purchased
the most amount of books this year from
Book Outlet, around 37%
of my book purchases was from Book
Outlet so that's really good because
Book Outlet has cheap books. So then I
broke down my totals for those places
based on my rough estimates of these
books and in total, I spent $151.63
on Amazon, $304.84
at Barnes & Noble.
Only $19.99 at
Books-a-Million, $134.55
on Book Outlet, $48.94
at Half-Price Books,
and $53.96 at Target.
That comes out to my $713.91
total that I told you
earlier.
Those include the books that I was
gifted in that total. So now price per
book from these places. My price per book
from Amazon was $9.48,
price per book from
Barnes & Noble is $17.93
so that's pretty expensive. My
price per book from Books-a-Million is
$19.99
because I only bought one book from
Books-a-Million. My average price per book
from Book Outlet is $4.98.
From Half-Price Books $8.16
and from Target $13.49.
So it's pretty interesting to
divide out the places you bought your
books from and see the average price per
book because obviously Barnes & Noble
and Target are a little bit higher than
Book Outlet and Amazon prices. Since I
started working in June, I have purchased
myself all of the books that I've
acquired from June to December except
for two books that I just got for
Christmas.
That makes me feel pretty good about
myself and that total only came up to
$260.52 so
that's pretty good. I'm finding deals
when I'm responsible for purchasing my
own books but I am very lucky and
thankful to have people who will
purchase books for me. Eric on
Valentine's Day purchased six books for
me from Barnes & Noble so that is a big
expense and my mother is also a big help
because they know that this is what I
love to do so I'm very thankful that I
have family members who are willing to
support my addiction and help me out. But
I also am proud of myself for finding
those deals and getting books for cheap
prices. Now obviously not everybody is
going to break down their spending like
I did for books in 2016
but I just thought this video was very
enlightening and in 2017 I can use this
information to try to do better. Try to
only limit myself to one book at Barnes
& Noble and then I can order the rest
off Amazon or on Book Outlet or go to
Half-Price Books more often. I have that
total number for books that I acquired
in 2016
so I can use that number in 2017 to try
to keep it lower, try to keep my monthly
costs lower. That's why I did this and I
also just love analyzing things like
this.
Congratulations if you made it to the
end of this video because it was kind of
a doozy. Comment down below if you guys
have ever actually tracked your spending
for anything and if you were surprised
by the results. I'm not actually that
surprised by my results. I am a little
surprised about how much I let other
people buy for me but I think that after
I became responsible with my job that I
purchased all my books and I'm pretty
proud of myself for that, I'm not gonna
lie.
So anyways guys give this video a big
thumbs up if you enjoyed it and any
point of the video.
I'll talk to you guys next time, goodbye!

Hello.
This Nayeon hosting the "2013 KBS Song Festival".
Hello, this is Chaeyeon.
Nice to meet you. This is Tzuyu.
We opened up the "2013 KBS Song Festival" by singing along to Cho Yong Pil's "Bounce".
Not only did Cho Yong Pil, our senior, take over the music scene this year,
but many rookie groups that appeared like comets...
also received a lot of your love!
Yes! That's right!
We've gathered all the singers who received your love here!
We welcome everyone to this festival to celebrate!
Today, you'll find out why they call it the "KBS Song Festival".
That's right.
The songs that received the most love this year,
as well as the greatest stages performed by those artists,
so you should look forward to them!
There's also special collaborations between seniors and juniors,
as well as competitive team stages, so stick with us until the end!
Before we officially start the stages, we've prepared a video of music trends in Korea.
Let's take a look!
The reason why 2013 was full of great music was because of the competition between seniors and juniors.
That's why the competition is just as fierce in today's festival as well, right?
Yes, that's right.
We have a total of 20 teams here today at the "2013 KBS Song Festival".
These teams are artists who've promoted between November 19, 2012 and November 17, 2013.
They rank in the Top 20 with the highest scores regardingsong and albums sales, and broadcast promotions.
From these 20 teams, one team's song will be chosen as the Song of the Year, right?
That's right.
The pre-scores, and the SNS and text votes from our viewers will be tallied up.
The first 7 teams will be chosen in the first act,
and in the second act, the SNS and text voting will take place with those 7 teams.
And finally, the Song of the Year will be chosen for 2013!
The 2013 Song of the Year will be chosen in a fair method.
Chaeyoung will explain how you can participate in the voting.
I'll let you know.
It's very simple.
To pick the Song of the Year, text the name of your artist or their number to #8989.
People who participate in the voting will be chosen at random to receive prizes.
Everyone, your votes will choose the 2013 Song of the Year,
so please start voting now!
And now, we will meet the...

Letter T Riddle Puzzle l Family Game Time - Duration: 4:38.
Hey guys it's Carrie Anne from EverythingMom
and if you've seen our riddle post,
which I'll include the link below, you can
probably tell that riddles are sort of a
something that we like to do as a family.
Kind of challenge your brain to think a
little differently and it's a great
activity that all members of the family
can participate from youngest to oldest.
This Christmas one of the things that
everybody sort of received we're kind of
these riddle puzzles and one that I
received is at first glance really quite simple
All you had to do is using four
pieces of wood cut in various angles put
them together to form an uppercase
letter T.
So, sounds simple right? That's what I
thought when I started to do it.
I actually even challenged some of my
family to try and create it as well.
We were sort of stumped.
So all you're trying to do it take the four pieces
and you form it into the shape of a T, the letter T,
an uppercase T.
[fast music]
I realized when I was trying to create
the letter T, trying to solve this puzzle,
I was using sort of preconceived notions
about how the pieces should fit together.
I kept looking at these pieces like they
should go somehow like this, like up,
across and down. That thinking was making
it difficult for me and I think the
whole family to try and solve the puzzle.
So when I put that notion to the side,
when I forgot about looking at the
puzzle pieces as straight lines, an
idea occurred to me and it all
centered on one piece. One simple piece
with a notch in it. At the end of this
video I do share the solution but if you
haven't tried it yet i've included a
link below that will take you to the
post where you can get a printable of
the pieces that you print and cut out
and then try to manipulate the puzzle
yourself. And then if you are stumped or
if you do solve it and want to see if
you have the same solution that that I
had you can watch the rest of the video.
But like stop, go solve the puzzle and
then come on back.
[Solution Revealed]
This piece is the center.
So you have your line down
And it's a T. It's this one piece.
Everything else sort of falls in the
straight line design like based on how
you think the letter should go but it
was that one centerpiece that was having
a problem. When I convinced myself to not
think of the pieces like in straight
lines, when I noticed this little notch
here and thought of it as the connector
between the top line and the bottom,
the rest of it all fell into place to make the T.
Now that you've seen it I'm
sure you'll see that it actually isn't that
complicated. It really is based on how
you look at the pieces to determine the outcome.
So if you put some of those
notions away it really changes everything.
This sort of riddle puzzle a lot of fun.
A little bit of a challenge.
If you enjoyed solving this
puzzle with your family
let me know in the comments below so we'll
try and come up with a few more that you
can challenge your own family with.
As always you can find me here talking mom
confessions, family travel, books for kids

[IT] Rogue One: my review (spoiler!) (duh!) - Duration: 18:17.
Good morning and welcome back with your Lexi
for another jok...
I mean, really serious thing, because we're always serious on this channel.
Today we're going to talk about Star Wars
because the new movie came out
and I went to see it
Our Christmas dinner has been so funny
my whole family is a little weirdly into the fandom
so the first thing we asked each other was
"did you see it?" and after that we had
a quite long chat
thrying to get over some translation issues
in the Italian dubbing
they keep changing the names of the characters...
which can get confusing
so I'd like to dedicate this video to the cousin
I've been discussing with for around 10 minutes
trying to understand who C1-P8 was
who's R2-D2
and that it and D3-BO are not the same droid
we basically messed up the name of any droid in the serie
as for the others you can guess who you're talking about despite them having different names.
I'd like to highlight something else...
in the last video I complained that I lost my lightsaber
and guys, breaking news,...
I've found it!
it's a little beat-up
you once had a button to turn it on
now it works this way:
I would have actually preferred Qui-Gonn's
beceuse I liked his character way more than Obi-Wan's
but my bro bought this
and foisted it to me when he realised they also sold
one for the villains
Darth Maul's
because, obviously, as any starwarsian family
we also have heroes and villains
I have a Sith brother... oh, well, it happens
we'll survive this
it's just the reason my lightsaber is in this state
meaning it turns on whenever you move it
is due to the fact... I think this is stupid
so, this was my lightsaber. I'm showing you the other one.
I'd like to understand...
who was the genius who developed these things
and thought that something like this...
OMG, this is broken too...
we really fought hard...
we didn't have this idea
"you have to take care of it"
it's a toy, so we treated it as such
we really disintegrated these...
Oh, turn on!
Here it is!
now: this
is supposed to compete with this little thing
I don't know why, but this plastic...
Look! It feels like it's breaking just by holding it!
This is far more solid!
I think they rooted for the villains
those who made these toys
because the red one is dangerous
you avoid the fight just not to get it on your head
I find the choice of materials
in these lightsaber a little unfair.
Just know it.
Can you turn off or you're trying to assassinate me?
so you'd like to hurt me, like this...?
Let's put these to the side
because with me around can become dangerous tools
if I had a real one I dunno whaqt would happen
I guess I'd accidentally break everything...
they'd sue me... kick me out of the Order
speaking of which, I feel like a friar... father sexton...
with this thing on
but let's get to the review
or I'll lose my point as usual
Let's start from the beginning. I've fount the
opening roll very interesting
well, that'd be before the beginning...
because I loved how they
rearranged the main theme
they took the original one
gave it a different swing
so that it gives you the feeling of something different
but at the same time, well integrated in the Star Wars saga
I liked the beginning a little less
because, since they're now Disney
they have to do what Disney does now in every film
and that I don't like
this "girls' power"
power to the women
in the first Disney movies
the princess had to wait for Prince Charming to save her
now the princess saves
not just Prince Charming, but the whole world
or, in this case, the whole Galaxy
this is something I already pointed out for "the Force Awakens"
and that I didn't like back then
so this film started with the girl
her pendant, "follow the Force"
I told myself: "not again!"
"Another superhero girl who saves the world all alone"
I don't have anythig against women in positions of power
my problem is when these women do anything by themselves
and men are just there as comic relief
they're useless
they're there just to make the heroin shine
and this is what I don't like, I want equality!
I know this is utopic
but I'd like to see a moie
where, finally, a man and a woman
are both useful
and actual co-protaonists. It would appear that
this is not in style for Disney.
I don't like it!
Luckily they made me have second thoughts
because she wasn't entirely the clean perfect heroine
who can outsmart and overcome anything alone
with no difficulties at all
as was the girl in "the Force Awakens"
where she was a natural at anything
she learned the Force... O.=' all right...
learned to *use* the Force like this:
magic! Supergood, superskilled
at least Jin had issues
not only in the fighting part
because she didn't have superpowers. Finally! A wonderwoman without superpowers!
a main character without superpowers!
wo can fight as she is supposed to!
like a human being, with all the difficulties and fragilities of a human being.
So: plus point for this...
Amen.
Another thing I've noticed, since I'm a she...
so I notice these things
I liked the hairstyles choices
I was a little perplexed in the beginning
because they looked too plain
I was used to all these braids
like Princess Leila's... Leia...
call her however you like...
prima aveva quelle... you know!
Those life preservers...
she had in the first movie
then she moved to that German paesant's braid
then she had her hair loose with braided braids
braided braids?
Yes, it makes sense! Braided braids on the top
so, she had a certain hairstyle developement
this main character was a little...
bun, low, elegant, all right...
very simple, almost out of context
especially in the beginning, when she had braided pigtails
then I realised it was similar to the hairstyle
Leia had...
in the episode I-Don't-Remember
"Return of the Jedi", maybe? The last one?
she had something similar, in her facial expression
I don't know, watching her I had a déjà-vu feeling
which made me see her as in context
especially since being in an inferior "social class"
it made sense she had a plainer hairdo
Well, today I'm styled as Elsa, because...
I thought... erm... braids are fashionable...
let's make a plain one
I don't think Jedis would care for intricated hairstyles
so this one goes
it's practical, I see them appreciate that.
One f the critics my friends moved to the movie
is it's based on fightings
to me, this was a point for it
because that serie of fights
is a crescendo that gets us to a finale where the main
character is killed. That's memorable!
She might reappear in another spin-off, but meanwhile...
I liked this dramatic ending
eventually a movie with a dramatic ending.
where the main character
wasn't the main character
so much as the plans to destroy the Death Star
that are then passed to Princess Leia
which will result in what we see on episode IV
... or I, according to where you start from...
so there was this continuum
and the tension growing, growing, growing...
total massacre
to end with the plans being delivered
and then the rythm slows down and the story we know
starts to unfold...
but I liked the way it got there and the rythm...
which was the same at the beginning of "Episode IV: A New Hope"
so, well played, well integrated.
I was just confused about one thing
which is... I don't remember when...
but I guess it was Mon Mothma
said something like "many Bothan died to give us these informations"
I don't feel like there were only Bothan spies who got fried there...
in this total massacre.
but still gives the idea of what happened and why those plans
were there and why
the situation was so dramatic
whilst when you start watching the movies, as I guess everyone did
from episode IV, you get this feeling that it's important
to deliver the plans, but you don't really feel
what's behind it and how
big was the attack and
dramatic the existance of the first Death Star
so... well integrated and it completes well
this part of the story.
Gosh, I'm still sick guys...
appreciate that I took my science-fictiony thing to drink from
the noises aren't science-fictiony at all. This is the coolest thing ever
I bought it in Berlin and, basically...
I can advert this because it's awesome
it keeps the temperature for hours
I've lent it to my parents because they went skiing
and wanted to bring along some tea
they allowed it to boil, because they know
that otherwise after a few hours the temperature gets too low
so they made this boiling tea
and in the evening, when they were done with skiing they tried the tea
was still hot. So hot they couldn't drink it.
so I can say this works and I'm happy with it.
Let's get back to our review,
since the adverts I put on the vid weren't enough
now I'll start addying some additional ones. You're gonna hate me, I know...
Another wonderful thing, that I don't know if you have noticed
is that the actress impersonating Mon Mothma is really similar to the original
and above all congrats to those in charge of the visual effects
because both Tarkin and Leia in the last scene
was incredible!
I know these are things you rather easily do on a computer
I wouldn't even know what to begin with
but the visual effects really got to me
seriopusly...
I don't know how they can recreate people that way...
I don't have words for this
Actually if I have to be totally hones there was something different in the Princess
being a she I've noticed something else...
they modernised her make up
but it's all right.
It's a modern movie, so I guess that even those
in charge of CG Ieffects
are used to retouch and edit
make up the way it looks right now
so, even if they're retouching something old
they'll authomatically do it the modern way
or maybe it was just the colours
or lightning...
different camera techiques, who knows?
that result in the make up looking different. Still I noticed it
that there was something different in the colours
and distribution, but mostly the colour.
I think it was more modern. Let me know
if you noticed this too.
I'm talking to the girls, if there's any around
who had watched the movie and is now on my channel.
What I enjoyed in this film was how they managed to put together
those things we all saw in SW
with something new, that
despite being new, was originally
integrated and let's say in a peculiar way
and well done in its style
I also loved the cameos
of the classic characters
C3-PO and R2-D2
who else was there? Mon Mothma... all the characters
we all know
and were well integrated
to give you this sense of "this is another story"
"yet still the same"
there's this character, but also that other one...
you know
and is acting somewhere else at the same time
and knowing these are here, means that at
the other side of the Galaxy it's happening
what was in the other movie
and you get this emotion that makes you say "come on, come on, we know you'll make it!"
We're wathing it from the other point of view
and everything will eventually come together
in the Circle of Life...
Lion King reference, I'm prolific today...
Another thing worth mentioning
are the OCs
I loved the reprogrammed imperial droid
that was a smart one for a comic relief
maybe smarter than the actual main characters
no, well, that's maybe a little too much...
however he was on spot
and successful in his
being the comic relief
but at the same time there's something
sour there
the fact that to be like this it had to be reprogrammed
that takes us on a more philosophical discussion
along Asimov's lines
about the ethics of such a procedure
reprogramming a droid is no different than
stripping away its personality...
One day or the other I'll review Westworld, be prepared.
It leaves you a little... at least it gets to me
and makes me wonder: all right, but the droid's real personality...
which one is it?
and... oh, well. I'll leave you with this question.
Let's talk about what I didn't like.
beginning with the blind monk
he was funny...
and one good thing about this movie was
actually its irony
and that feel of imperfection
although in this case, it wasn't something
that added to the movie
but more of a sour note
so I'd like to point out that this
was more a Tibetan monk
he strived more towards an easterner philosophy
than how the Jedi mentality
tentds to it
so it left me disappointed.
I guess someone else might have liked it. He was fybby after all
but didn't convince me.
Another less than convincing thing was the acting
of the guy playing Darth Vader
which maybe was the same of... oh, speaking of which!
another thing! How comes that in this episode
he was called Darth Vader?
They keep changing their minds
with these translations
he's called Fener, then they decide to keep his name as Fener
in the Revenge of the Sith
then they go back and he's called Vader
for some reason
wait: "Vader"
it was funny how they pronounced it
if you decide to use the English name try to pronounce it as it should!
No. All right.
I was also disappointed by the dubbing
The italian dubbing is usually great on this kind of production
but this one was underwhelming
at the same level of an Italian sit-com
there was some actor, not among the main characters
but among the bit players some had an arguable acting
and arguable was also
I'm sorry, but the acting of the guy portraying Vader
or Fener, he wasn't convincing.
But I also think this makes us wonder
on the fact it must be very hard
to portray a character without visual expressions
that has to render his feelings
exclusively through his gestures
because he has a mask, he's entirely covered
and must communicate through his voice
In this film, he wasn't able
or, at least, not so much as in the classical trilogy
so I think it's hard for whoever is asked
to play such a role, which is also...
a focal character, very significant
and well known
so that any minor mistake, the smallest divergence
can make turn the nose up to the fans
and, lastly
it's damn hard. I wouldn't even dare imagining the
difficulties an actor faces when confronting with such a role
I think he needed to be artisically way more mature
and this actor, dunno who he was
maybe was the same I loved in another movie...
I didn't watch the subtitles, sorry!
Subtitles?! I mean, end titles...
so, seriously could be anyone
maybe even the original actor,
because he had a different size
than Hayden Christensen
in Episode: III
so I guess it wasn't him, unless he had gained weight
or muscles...
But I believe it wasn't him.
still... not convincing.
Except for the last scene where BOOM, BANG, BEEM
yes, it was convincing there.
Well, this is all for today, this was my review
if you had other ideas, you noticed things I forgot
or just didn't notice, I've missed or
if you have a different opinion, wichi is very likely
Just let me know
write here down in the comments
what goes through your mind right now
and we'll see each other next week
with another video, don't ask me about what
because I decide the day I post them
here around will appear videos about...
I don't know yet
what I'm gonna link around here
see you next week and may the Force be with you!
No, it's just I wanted to look cool
to make this video, but I can't find...
wait, I can close this...
Here, my cape buttons up...
do I look like a serious Jedi like this?
Well, I feel a little...
knowing myself I can't go along with "serious"
I give up, see ya!

You Won't Believe The Reason Why The FDA Allows These Ingredients In Your Pet Products - Duration: 3:05.
Hey everyone, today let's talk about some of
the things that happened in the pet food
industry during 2016.
Hi my name is Donna Vincent with DonnaVincentOnline.com.
I'm a Certified Pet Food
Nutrition Specialist. I'm here to keep
you informed as to what is going on in
the pet industry as well as help you
take care of your dogs and cats
holistically and naturally. Let's start
with recalls -- there are 10 recalls in
2016, less than 2015, and one recall
for supplements. But the most
mind-boggling information that came out
of 2016 is a meeting that was held with
regulatory authorities that occurred in
March of 2016 with the FDA. This
information should make you angry and
wait to hear the reason of why this is
allowed. In this meeting a pet food
consumer who is also a food scientist
with a PhD met with the FDA to discuss
the risk of allowing dead, non slaughtered,
diseased animals into your pet food.
These ingredients are in violation of
federal law. The question to the
agency was, are you going to still allow
illegal ingredients to be processed into
pet food? The FDA openly, simply said 'YES'..'
The FDA is selectively enforcing the
laws of the Food Drug and Cosmetic Act.
The question was also asked do you have
proof that these ingredients are safe
for our pets. A Freedom of Information
Act Request was filed with the FDA
asking for the science and the agency
responded with, we did not find the
requested records. In other words FDA has
no science that these ingredients are safe for
your pets. During this meeting, the real
reason why these ingredients are allowed
in your pet products came out... and wait
untl you hear this!! Disposal of these
animal carcasses in
in landfills is a danger to humans. The
FDA's approved disposal method is in
your pet food. And, just in case you
thought you didn't hear that correctly,
disposal of these animal carcasses in
landfills is a danger to humans. The
FDA's approved disposal of these
carcasses is in your pet food. I don't
know about you, but it's not okay with me
which is why I stopped buying my pet
products in stores over three years ago.
I found a company that I can trust. I
don't trust the other companies out
there. If you have questions or comments
private message me or comment below.
Please share this with others -- everyone
needs to know what's going on out there.
Have a great day. i'll talk to you again
soon.

End of the Year 2016, Traditions in Ecuador by John Vilor - Duration: 6:31.
Hi my Cyber-friends, my name is John Vilor
and today
We are on the 6 de Marzo street now we're going to tour Guayaquil
and i'm going to show you one of the
greatest traditions of our country
something that encourages celebration on
the reception of the new year in our country
look, the famous old years
of dummies of the old year these dummies
represent famous personages, politicians
superheroes, athletes
cartoons, artists
we see a variety of characters, these dummies
are made of paper which is the main
material which can be molded to the
taste of the manufacturer there are some
ways to make them first the first it's
filling pants, shirts with sawdust
or newspaper and then you buy the
previously made mask
the second form. A skeleton of wood is made and covered
with paper and cardboard and then painted
as the manufacturer wants...
the third way as you can see it's a mold of the character
which is covered with paper and allowed
to dry then painted with spray paint
this form is used by most manufacturers
of Dummies on these streets
well it's a faster way to finish a
Dummy and put it on the market
we continue with our tour admiring this
wonderful pieces of art, we find dummies
of different characters, the customers
can choose their favorite Dummies, people
prefer characters that have stood out
the most during the year 2016.
these are the fantastic Dummies
wonderful figures, now we can see here
Mazinger... wonderful ...Mazinger
This Mazinger costs nine hundred dollars.
It's a giant Mazinger and of course
if you want a small one you can buy one
just just paying thirty dollars
well, what do people do with this dummies? here
on the night of December 31st
at twelve o'clock people put small
explosives and burn them in the middle
of the street
this means that the old year is dying
and the new year is coming it is at this
moment that people begin to hug and
congratulate each other whishing them
happy new year
well I hope you have liked this video
showing part of the traditions of our
country
Ecuador is our country
Another tradition is to collect money for The old year dummy
in the streets
years ago a person dressed as a widow
began to cry and ask for money to
burn and bury her husband old year dummy
the case of the female judge who
was drunk and threatened to destroy the
police with her powers is the most
outstanding this year 2016
now let's talk about traditions. Each family has their
own New Year's traditions. Here are some
of the most common, first the fireworks
if you're trying to sleep through the
new year celebrations, you may have some
success until midnight the boom of
fireworks is hard to ignore some say the
fireworks ward off the bad spirits
12 grapes at midnight, eating twelve grapes at
midnight is said to bring good luck for
the coming year.
Colored panties. yes, you heard that right there is a
superstition that if you were yellow
underwear on New Year's Eve you will
have increased prosperity in the coming
year
Red underwear means that you will find love.
Suitcase around the block
that's number four if you plan to travel
in the coming year, you are supposed to
run around the block with a suitcase
at midnight to enjoy success during your
travels
in Guayaquil, there are many neighborhoods or
sectors where its inhabitants meet and make
giant dummies with the arrival of
tourists these people charge around
50 cents to take a photo for the souvenir.
these giant Dummies will be burned a week after
the start of the year and sometimes
it takes longer but that's our tradition
here in Ecuador
after sharing a bit of our Ecuadorian
traditions I have to say goodbye
without first thanking you for the
support received to my channel during
this year 2016. John Vilor's family is
preparing new surprises for the coming
year I hope my channel continues to grow
with your help
a very strong hug and and have a very
happy new year 2017 bye

Resolutions: Why they fail, and how to have more success. - Duration: 5:25.
Hey there, I'm Eric Goll. I'm a coach
dedicated to helping you realize your
potential.
Today we're going to jam on resolutions.
A firm decision to do, or not to do
something. This is something that we
often look at around the new year's time
frame, but really applies to anything
that we're trying to remove or
integrate into our lives. And, we often
take on these resolutions that
ultimately fail. They might last for, you
know, one, two, three maybe, four weeks if
you're lucky and they kind of just
trail off, and we don't do those things
that we really intended to do in the
first place when we made that resolution.
So, why did they fail? Well they fail for many
reasons. But, let's explore a couple of
them. It takes a lot of effort to
integrate new positive habits into your
life. For example, going to the gym. Right.
You set this intention to get up at 6am
every single morning, and go to the gym
and get fit. Well, why does that fail? You
wake up, it's dark, it's cold,
your cozy in bed, and you have to use a
ton of will power to go workout, which is
probably something that you really don't
want to do at that time of the day anyway. You
have a lot of things stacked up against
you that you're battling against to go
integrate that habit into your life. To
make that firm decision to do something.
Why else do our resolutions fail?
We're busy!
Our lives are busy. How often do you say
to yourself, "I'd love to do that, but i'm
too busy?" And, we hear other people saying
this all the time as well.
Right. Like, if we ask them for a small
favour, or they're talking about something
that they would like to do, they say "Ah you know
I'd love to do that, but I'm just too
busy."
Our lives are busy. So how can we boost
our success rate on implementing those
new positive habits that we want to
integrate into our life? I'm going to
suggest that first we need to create
space. We need to create room so that we
can have the time and the energy to do
those things that we really want to do.
To keep it simple there's two principles
that you're going to adopt and follow first
before you try and integrate this habit, or
any new habits into your life.
First, you're gonna eliminate and second
you're going to automate. And, that's
going to free up that time. Alright, now
how can you implement this into your life. Wel,l
the first part eliminate. I'm going to
share an example for me and you can see
what would work for you. So, I'm a big
sports fan - Toronto sports; baseball,
basketball, hockey, you name it. And, I
found that I was watching a game every
single night. And, it doesn't seem like
that bad, right, that bad of a guilty pleasure.
But, when you think about it, it's three
hours of TV per day. When you extrapolate
that over a year - over two months of my
waking time is being spent watching
sports.
I can accomplish a lot in two months
worth of time. I made a commitment to myself
to reduce the amount of sports that was
watching to one game a week, instead of
watching a game every single night. And, it
gave me back about two months of my time
to work on things that I wanted to do my
life. It cleared that space. And I also
gave myself a prompt that I made this
commitment to myself by putting a piece
of artwork in front of my TV. Whenever I
looked at it was tempted to watch sports
as I go yeah I made that commitment to
watch one game a week. For you, it might
be the same watching sports, or it could be
watching netflix, it could be endlessly
surfing the web, it could be scrolling
social media constantly on your phone.
All these things.
Think about what it is for you that you can
eliminate your life to create space that
you need. The second part automation.
Automation is about reducing the noise,
all of the things, all the distractions
that are coming at you, or you distract
yourself with on a daily basis. Is your
phone going off every 10 seconds? Are you
endlessly surfing web sites on the web?
Facebook? News sites? Every time you get
one of those distractions you're
distracted for 8 to 10 minutes. Right. You get
10 text messages in a day, your phone
goes off distract away from the tasks you were
working, on you've wasted over an hour
just being distracted by phone. Are you
spending an hour on facebook when you
intended to spend two minutes?
There's just some simple things you can do to
automate away those distractions. You can
turn off the signal on your phone so it
doesn't beeper doesn't vibrate every
time you get a text message. You can use
an app like focus in google chrome, where
you block, or limit the amount of time
that you spend on any sites like
Facebook, or
new sites. For me, I'm a constant email
checker. So, I've set my email, so that it only
that receives my email twice per day.
9am and 3 p.m. I'm getting my email, and it
defaults me away from checking my email
constantly. There's these really simple
things you can do to automate and
simplify your life so that you're not
getting all these constant distractions.
Make a firm decision on what you're not
going to do, to create the space to
enable you to do what you want to do.
That's a big idea that's the idea for
this video. Eliminate your time wasters,
and use the automation to support you. I hope
this video was extremely valuable for
you. Feel free to share with your network.

No shit, I just don't get it. Why is chat stalling again?
No shit, if this continues, from next month on I will only stream on Hitbox, no shit
That's completely fucked up, right?
On Younow [he means Hitbox of course] you have the advantage that you can watch that thing
uhm, that you can watch some Gameplay but unfortunately there's no music
Fucking injury...
No shit, this is getting boring, mate. Younow, can't you get your fucking page in order?
It just can't be that whenever somebody streams, the fucking connection breaks down and the chat stalls
and that affects my whole browser. That just can't be it, mate
Let's simply do it like thus: If the stream doesn't function until this song is over, I'll go offline
Don't give a shit. Then Younow can kiss my arse because I'm fed up
The funny thing is, that people apparently keep saying... OWCH!!!
that people thing that only I have this problem that the chat is stalling, but it doesn't stall with anybody else
This fucking injury from the truncheon attack. It's been more than 21 weeks and still I'm in pain
I'll continue until the chat get's screwed up again. If the chat stalls one more time or if the browser fucks up
then I'm going offline for today. Because I'm fed up that this is happening every time I'm streaming
[Note: And the Oscar goes to...]
OWCH!! Today it's really bad...
If this guy ever crosses my path again, I'll finish him off
I always let one song run through
It's stalling again! You wankers, man, no shit...
This damn fuck-page Younow, no shit... fucking up every time
Alright, after that song I'm going offline because I'm really fed up. There's no need for this... taking the piss out of me, I can do by myself
[Note: Cheesus wept...]
Younow is really the last piece of shit
Alright, til then... your Drache and... FUCK YOU YOUNOW!
By the way, don't be surprised but I'm in a bit of pain when I breath, so don't worry about it, okay?
OWCH!!
Oh well, in my case this had more to do with defending myself when they attacked my arteries
and it's not like they attacked my with a knife. I never said that
Uhm, that did happen once but not in this case
"The chat doesn't work when..."
You know what, Lala? I don't knew a Mr. Know-It-All. At the moment that's the last thing I need
That the chat only works when the cursor is pointed at it, that's complete bullshit
That's the biggest load of shit I've ever head
"Aggressive"? I'm not aggressive at all. I only hurt like an animal
It would definitely be nais, but I cannot shuffle oven cheese every day. Don't have the time and definitely don't have the cash
"Wouldn't you rather go and lie down?"... Uhm, Abby
The worst thing is that it's even worst when I lie down
When I lie down, I sleep on my side. I always sleep either on my left or right side. Usually on my right side, uhm,
And there is problem is...
then I sleep even worst. Meaning, I feel even worst
and currently I can hardly sleep at all. I have to munch down two or three painkillers just to go to sleep
"Three to four painkillers" - WUT? - "will damage your kidneys"
First of all, I don't take three to four of them every day
Have to add, basically I'm a person who hates pills
Usually I don't even take headache pills
But those painkillers I took because sometimes I cannot breath when I sleep [note: commonly known as sleep apnea]
I'll give you a suggestion, Lala: Uhm,
just give it a rest. I know a lot about kidneys, because I have several family members who struggle with kidney disease
After two years, I personally still find the stupidity of haters amusing
while you still haven't learned a thing in two years. That's what I find funny, so laugh as much as you want
Because in the end I've always won and you'll only understand that when it's too late
ARRRGH!!!
Ah, LadyAlice is here too. Yes, I'm totally not fine
[Note: Constipation is a bitch]
And now, since christmas... christmas eve til new year... I've had brutal pain
No idea why that is. I've even been to hospital... have been to hospital
been to hospital and all, but it just didn't help
"Have you been x-rayed, in case of internal bleeding?" - Yes I have been x-rayed and yes I have internal bleeding
I have an internal hematoma
that should have dissolved by now. By now, six or seven weeks after I had those pains and went to hospital
the doctor said, if this doesn't get better, it will have to be operated, and now we kept waiting
and the pain didn't return. Only once but I was not supposed to physically exhaust myself (!), so I pressume that was the reason....
"Life is Strange" will definitely continue, but first I have to check it out
That's true, I totally forgot to record more of that, haven't continued playing it
"Are you now trying to generate pity and money with pain? You really only talk bullshit"
SIGH!
It looks ridiculous because it's only a red mark
I still have a red mark here but you can't see it [note: on Twitter he posted a picture - looked like it was caused when he tried to jump over the fence a few days back]
I have been planning to see the doctor the whole week, but currently I have no car
uhm, because I trashed my car
because [the road] was slippery... I'm mean, didn't really trashed it in that sense. Needs some fixing
and I think I can handle that. In Germany you have to pay tax on presents if you get something donated or a present
But that's no big issues with tiny amounts like two to five bucks, but the numbers in my case are a different story
But I have to inform myself about that. Thus far I didn't really inform myself
because so far I haven't done anything like this donation thing. On Younow it's a different story
because in Younow this is all taxed and everything
"What happened to the computer?" - The computer is right here by my side
The computer somebody donated to me - more or less - first I'll have the police check that it wasn't stolen or some other bullshit
Data-wise it should be secure because there is no harddrive in it, but I'll check that thoroughly too
Not that my Drachis [Fans] are stupid but it's so that the haters are still quiet a bit more stupid than haters think they are... that's how I would put it
At the moment it's all about my injuries and my car, then about fixing that with the power, my laptop and the internet connection
meaning with my computer and the connection, and then we'll see....
"Pay your electricity bill, you fat accident of birth"
Uhm, if you call my an "accident of birth", you might want to first look in the mirror. You're not the most beautiful thing walking on earth either
So... good... apart from that, why do you think I'm collecting donations now? Can you read. Because it says it on top but I pressume you're illiterate
Pressumably they don't teach that in your retard-school and only teach how to get on other people's nerves......
