iZotope Trash 2: How to Use the Filter Module | Music Production | Sound Design | Berklee Online - Duration: 7:57.
All right, we're going to have another look at Trash from Isotope,
and this time we're going to focus on the filter module.
So I have all of the other modules shut off.
Note there are two filter modules.
I just have this one turned on.
You can have a filter module before and after the wave shaper here,
but of course I don't have any other modules turned on.
So it doesn't really matter.
I'm just going to use the first one.
So this is the filter here, and you can with this tab show more or less bane's.
So you can have multiple filters simultaneously here.
I'm going to keep it simple and just have one filter band right now.
And it can do a lot of different things.
It can act like simple EQ bank here.
So that's what this is just a simple parametric EQ.
And I can with these here change the bandwidth of this band,
and then add a booster cut.
And this just feels like an EQ so I have a drum beat.
If I turn this off here's the drum beat, and I turn this on.
[DRUM BEATS]
And it feels like am EQ band.
But I can do some other things as well.
For example, I can change this to different types of filter bands,
and I can click here.
And you can see that there's quite a lot of choices here
so it can be a high pass, band pass, low pass, or shelf.
And then these are all sort of different shapes for a different filter type.
So here I have high pass, band pass, low pass filter.
Here I have the same thing, but the shape and color of the filters
is a little different here.
Same with saturated, which will be a little more distorted.
And screaming only has two types of filters.
Synth has some variations on low pass filters,
and then vowels kind of a special case.
We'll look at that last here, but I'll just
try, for example, saturated low pass filter here.
It's a standard low pass filter, and this
will be the resonance of the filter.
[LOW-PASS FILTER DRUM BEATS]
And again, it's pretty straightforward low pass filter.
Now one of the really fun things you can do here is modulate filter cutoff,
and that's always something interesting to do with filters.
And that's the modulation section here.
So I have an LFO, and the LFO can be synced to tempo.
So I can have the LFO rate be quarter notes, or eighth notes, or whole notes,
or whatever.
Here's a half note, for example.
It's a sine wave is the waveform, and I can choose from multiple waveforms
here so whatever I want.
And what's interesting is that here this is the target of the modulation.
So this gives me some real fine control over the results.
This is my band, and this is the target of the modulation.
So the modulation will go from here, whatever this setting is, to here.
And I can see those settings here.
This is the band setting.
It's just about 1.3 kilohertz, and there's no booster
cut because it's a low-pass filter.
That's the resonance, not much resonance.
If I want I can add a little bit.
And then that's the target of the modulation, about 360 hertz
and a bit more resonance.
So what's going to happen is the LFO will
modulate back and forth between these two points based on this rate.

And I can slow it down so we can see that little dot travel.
[DRUM BEATS]
Or if I wanted to, I could have it go from my 1.3 kilohertz band.
I could have a go up instead of down.
[DRUM BEATS]
Whatever I want.
In addition, this has an envelope follow that can modulate the filter cut off.
And in this case, I have an attack and release time here.
And this is my input signal, and this is the threshold
that triggers the envelope.
So here--
[DRUM BEATS]
--I can see this is about where the peaks are so I can
nice fast attack and moderate release.
And I'm going to bring down the threshold until this
starts to modulate filter cutoff.
And again, in this case it's going to go from here,
which is my original setting, to hear, which is the target setting like so.

One more time.
[DRUM BEATS] I could bring it way out here--
[DRUM BEATS]
--and this could be any kind of a band.
I could even go back to the clean peak here, and this is the clean peak.
And I can have a boost here, and then for the target
I could maybe have a cut.
So now I'm going to go from boosting this frequency
to cutting this frequency.

Or I could go downward, so maybe from a boost here to a cut here.
Or maybe this could be a different boost.
[DRUM BEATS]
That's kind of neat doink kind of sound.
It's kind of cool.
Now that other one that was kind of interesting was the vowel filters.
And so these are filters that have certain resonances built
into the filter, and they give you vowel like character here.
So this is it without any modulation.
[DRUM BEATS]
And you can hear there's a vowel like character to the sound of the filter.
And again, the fun here is when you modulate
this let's say with the envelope.
And I'll just do something like this.
[DRUM BEATS]
And it's like I got a guy singing "doy; doy, doy" kind of thing
along with the beat.
[DRUM BEATS]
And that's kind of an interesting sound effect.
Something you could use in the music production,
or in a slightly different way doing some sound design for visuals.
Let's look at an example using a sound design effect here.
This is just an [? air wrench ?] so without this filter on.
This is just the sound effect itself.

Let's see what it feels like here.
I'm going to bring the threshold all the way up
so I can see the level of the signal.

Now dropping it a bit.

Kind of an interesting sound, really.
And I can tweak the filter, the original setting here, as well as the target
here.

That's an interesting sound design element.
I could use that for something.
So this is the idea with the filter section of Trash.

to go out a dog made mine well because they have to go and they
asking you to give attention to them and let them out or they want to play with
you so it's kind of a conversation that they're having with you they're giving
the signal in this part so physically they are desperate they have to go for
example to bathroom or they want to play or emotionally they're asking you to do
something or they want to get something but be careful not to respond to their
emotional whining all the time because what happens then they're training you
to respond to their whining and that causes your dog to learn that they can
whine all the time and they get what they want
number four reasons why dogs whine is because they have pain and some form of
physical or mental or emotional pain in their system anything can cause a dog to
become injured and have pain so you want to be kind of aware of what is happening
with your dog so the way you're going to manage and prevent your dog to have
physical pain is checking your dog every day and if something has gone wrong then
you're familiar with that body and you know if that pain is physical or mental
younger dogs and older dogs tend to get injured easily so pay attention to them

behavior a dog probably has learned that if I whine I get what I want
sometimes what happens is when they whine we pick them up they go for a walk
and you give treats or food to your dog so the dog learns if I give this whining
give the signal my human is going to give back to me and it's going to do

How to Remove Blocks with the Law of Attraction - Duration: 11:05.
Are you trying to manifest your desires with the Law of Attraction but find yourself struggling
with seemingly invisible blocks?
Do you sometimes feel that you're very close but then something gets in the way, something
that you can't quite identify but you know it's there?
If so, then you may be facing one (or more) of these common blocks to manifesting.
Here are several quick ways to identify and remove them.
1.
Not Knowing What You Want Determining what you want may sound simple,
but for most of us, it's harder than it seems.
Not knowing what you want can include any of the following blocks: failing to be specific
about what you want, focusing on what you don't want, trying to manifest something
that you don't believe that you can have and trying to manifest something that you
don't really want.
Sounds wild, doesn't it?
Who would have thought it would be so difficult to determine what you want?
Get Specific There are many reasons why people are afraid
to be specific about what they want.
They may not believe that they can have it, they may have tried to get it before and failed,
they may feel that if they ask for it then they won't get it or any number of other
reasons.
If you ask most people what they want, you'll get vague answers - like being rich, happy
and having wonderful loving relationships.
While those are great intentions, they are very vague and subjective.
How will you know when you get them?
What would it look like to have them?
In order to manifest something, it needs to be specific enough that you can visualize
it and know what it would feel like to have it.
For example, perhaps your desire is to be rich.
What does being rich mean to you?
It may mean a six-figure yearly income.
It may mean being out of debt and able to live happily on a small income.
It may mean being able to travel whenever and wherever you wish.
It may mean being a millionaire with a private jet.
Once you get more specific, you have a direction, something that you can manifest and know for
sure when it has manifested.
Focusing On What You Don't Want For some reason, it's so much easier to
know what you don't want than to figure out what you do want.
The problem is, when you focus on what you don't want you tend to get more of what
you don't want.
Your subconscious mind doesn't recognize words as much as it connects with your feelings
and the images in your thoughts.
For example, say you don't want a red dragon.
You immediately think of a red dragon with a feeling of resistance.
Your subconscious mind takes that as an order for more resistance and red dragons.
To take it a step further, say you love red dragons with a feeling of happiness.
Your subconscious mind takes that as an order for happiness and red dragons.
It just reads the images and the feelings and directs you to more of the same.
When you focus on what you don't want, then you are creating negative feelings and more
of what you don't want.
When you focus on what you do want, you automatically create positive feelings and more of what
you do want.
Trying to Manifest Something That You Don't Believe That You Can Have
This is a biggie and most people do it without even realizing it.
Here's an example.
Do you believe that you can manifest $1 million?
Just sit with it a minute and notice what comes up.
What thoughts run through your mind?
How do you feel inside?
While you may wish to be able to manifest a million bucks, you may not believe that
you can do it.
Just because you tell yourself in your mind that you can do it, doesn't mean that you
really believe that you can do it.
A quick way to determine if you believe it or not is to think of what you want to manifest
and see how it feels inside.
Do you tense up when you think of it?
Do you feel afraid or worried?
Do you feel uncomfortable?
If so, you don't believe it.
It's not the end of the world.
Simply change your intention to something that you do believe that you can manifest.
Manifesting is a skill, just like any other.
Start small and get some positive results.
As you see it working, you'll be able to believe for more and larger things.
Trying to Manifest Something That You Don't Really Want
This is a fun one.
Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it!
When you decide to manifest something, check with yourself first to make sure it's something
that you really want.
Not what someone else wants you to want, or what you think you should want.
Go for what you really do want.
Trying to manifest what you don't really want is just another way to self-sabotage.
You may feel like you're doing the right thing but in your heart you know it's the
wrong thing for you.
If you're not sure if something is what you really want or not, then this is a good
opportunity to look inside and re-connect with yourself.
2.
Wanting To Change While Remaining The Same In order to manifest something new, chances
are things will have to change.
You will have to change.
You may have to change old beliefs, old habits and patterns of doing things and learn something
new.
You may even have to change paths entirely.
Changing Old Beliefs It's difficult, if not impossible, to manifest
your desires if you have old beliefs that conflict with what you want.
If you believe that having money will make you a bad person, you'll have an uphill
battle trying to manifest a million dollars.
However, if you believe that having money will give you the resources you need in order
to help others, manifesting that money will be easier.
If your beliefs and actions remain the same, then you will continue to get what you have
always gotten.
Changing Old Patterns Like beliefs, we all have patterns and habits
that we follow in our daily lives.
Many of these habits are so ingrained that you may not even realize that you're doing
them.
Some habits, such as eating a cheeseburger and fries for lunch every day or avoiding
exercise would have to be changed in order to manifest health or weight loss.
Learn Something New You may need more knowledge in order to manifest
your desire.
Sometimes, a lot of the negative thoughts around an intention are reasonable concerns
and questions.
Before you label them as negative or try to push them away, look for answers to them instead.
They may be merely a sign that you need more information.
It's one thing to manifest a million dollars, it's another thing entirely to know how
to manage and invest it.
Changing Your Path Sometimes, a block merely means that you can't
get what you want by following that path.
You may have to change to an entirely new path to get what you want.
If what you've been doing isn't working, you may want to try something new.
If you only date people in your small circle of friends and you've worked your way through
all of the eligible ones there, you may want to try online dating instead.
If you want to make a six-figure income but find yourself stuck in a dead-end job, you
may have to change jobs or start your own business to manifest your dream.

Ignoring What You Feel Feeling and understanding your feelings are
one of the quickest ways to manifest what you want.
Your feelings are like a compass that shows you not only which direction you're going,
but also helps you determine what you want and where you want to go.
Generally, when you want to manifest something it is because you want the feeling that you
will have once it manifests.
For example, the fun, new sports car will help you to feel young, attractive, sexy and
full of energy – all positive, feeling-good feelings.
In order to manifest something that makes you feel good, you need to feel good now.
So, what's the easy way to feel good?
Take care of yourself.
Do things that feel good.
Allow yourself to enjoy life.
After all, it's your life.
When you are struggling and miserable each day, you are only attracting more struggle
and misery.
Do more of what makes you feel good so that you feel good more and more of the time.
Allow that feeling to spill over into the rest of your life.
When you feel good and positive and upbeat, then you can attract good things easier because
you are open to them and better able to accept them.
However, it is also very important to allow yourself to feel all of your feelings.
No one is happy all the time.
We all experience a wide range of emotions.
These emotions are what add color to our lives and help us to connect with our own true nature
and connect with others.
It's not about avoiding feelings, it's more about learning to feel, accept and listen
to your feelings.
Feelings act as an internal guidance system.
They help you to be more aware of what is happening in your daily life, they protect
you and direct you to your true self.
By stuffing your feelings or trying to force yourself to be happy all the time, you are
only cutting yourself off from one of your best sources to manifest your true desires.
Negative feelings are important sources of information.
Feeling angry can show you where your boundaries are (or need to be).
Sadness can show you things that you care about or that are important to you.
It can also show you things that need more of your attention.
Notice your feelings.
Feel your feelings.
Get to know them and understand what they are trying to tell you.
Allow yourself to have them.
You're only human, after all.
Removing Blocks to Manifesting If you're having problems manifesting, these
three common blocks may be what's standing in your way.
First, decide what you want and make it specific enough that you will know when you get it.
Make sure it's something that you want and something that you believe you can have.
Be willing and open to make changes in how you think and act.
Be willing to learn new things and try new paths.
Above all, follow your feelings, accept them and listen to what they are trying to tell
you.
They can be your best guide to remove blocks and manifest the life of your dreams.

How to clean fossils with vinegar - Duration: 2:32.
Hello my friends and welcome back.
Today I'm going to show you how to clean photos with the help of vinegar.
You should only use vinegar as a last resort
And with fossils that have some type of shell.
Fossils that are a cast or a mold you should avoid using vinegar
Because it could start to eat away all the good part of the fossil
This one... As you can see it's pretty dirty
So I'm going to put it over here in solution of vinegar. This is wine vinegar.
And....
As you can see...
It starts bubbling right immediately.
Okay, guys here it is.
The end result after the cleaning with vinegar.
As you can see it's...
Very much...clean!
The shell it's clean.
It shows some signs of dirt around here...
But rest of it is pretty clean.
So ,this is one of the ways to clean fossils.
Don't do it in the fossils that are not...
That are not shells
Because you can damage the fossil.
Always do it before with some fossil that you don't want
To make a test to see if everything work...
And that's it !

Rolo's Adoption Story | Piggie Crumbs - Duration: 8:03.
Hello piggie peeps. Welcome back to Piggie Crumbs. Today we have an adoption story and
that is Rolo's adoption story. Little Rolo here is very cute and he is about five or
six months old now. He's been with us for the last ten weeks and this is his
adoption story. So on the 26th of May, I had decided to visit my local pet
stores just to have a quick look at what guinea pigs they had and I needed
to pick up a few things - I think I needed hay and piggie pellets, the usual
things, and I noticed that in our local Pets at Home
they had Rolo - who at the time was named Rex - in the Support for
Adoption bay and I inquired as to his story and it turned out that
unfortunately he had been beating up his cage mates. He decided he didn't like
them and was starting fights and he got as good as he got by the looks of it
because he has unfortunately got a tear in one ear and it also looks like
he's got some scratch marks on both eyes but as you can see he's a very very
healthy piggy and so it didn't give him a bad start in life.
So Rex as he was known at the time had been put in the Support for
Adoption section at Pets at Home and and was being described as having to
be sold as a 'solo piggy' and unfortunately this is something that
I really disagreed with with Pets at Home and was one of the main factors for
actually adopting him. As we all know - guinea pigs are social creatures and
really shouldn't be kept on their own. There are special circumstances but the
majority, if not all piggies, should really be with one other piggy if not
more and so I obviously didn't like the fact that Pets at Home were doing this
and had him for adoption and we're saying that he had to be on his own.
So I didn't straightaway get him - I went home and worked out whether I
had space, I had the finances and just
had a bit of a think as to whether I could help with his situation and it
only took an hour and of course I decided yes I had to try and save this
little piggie from a very miserable life on his own potentially. So back to the
store I went and at this point I hadn't even seen him he'd literally been so
scared and so timid and had been in his house the whole time I'd looked at him
so when I went back to the store I obviously checked him over and he was
very healthy - he had obviously the rip in his ear but apart from that was very
kind of sprightly, didn't want to be held and looked very healthy so of course
I adopted him. And as soon as we got home and he could hear the other
two squeaking, he was then squeaking from his little box and bless him I think
he'd been on his own maybe for about four weeks in the adoption bay and
he was so lonely. So, as you should with all new guinea pigs, he then had
a quarantine period which was about a week and a half and then I took him
to the vets a) to check he was a boy - I was pretty confident he was by that
point but it's always good to have a second opinion and b) just to do a
once-over - check he didn't have any parasites or any kind of conditions and
they gave him the all clear. So what I did then was put him in a cage that was
basically underneath the other two so he could hear the others and the other two
could hear him, he could smell them, they could smell him and just
generally kind of get them more used to each other. So Rolo straightaway when
this happened was popcorning, he was squeaking, he was just very curious and
honestly the popcorning was so big and so often that I think he was really
happy to have someone to talk to of his own kind. So that was about another
week and a half and then I decided with everything crossed to try and bond them.
Now when I originally got him I wasn't sure if I was going to bond
them just because he had obviously had previous of fighting but he was a
youngster and I thought it was only right - and really with the interactions
that they had - like basically when my two were in floor time they could see him
through bars and there was no aggression towards each other. At one
point GusGus literally lay next to the grid and they were sort of side by side
so I'd had some optimistic thoughts and was very hopeful but it can't be
guaranteed. So one day when I had the time of work I got a pen ready, got
everything ready, put Rolo in first and then slowly introduced GusGus and Rocky
and it was so easy. I'm still super grateful that literally there was only
the little bits of chasing and a little bit of humping but literally nothing happened.
GusGus was just like ''don't bother me I'm boss Pig, I'm just
going to sit here and sleep'' and Rolo and Rocky kind of had a little bit of
chasing out who was number two and who was number three - Rocky's pretty easy go lucky
so I think he's number three and Rolo's decided he's number two him but
yeah literally it couldn't have gone easier and he is the happiest little
sprightly little pig I have ever known. It's so nice to have a little baby again -
I would not really have probably chosen a little baby again but he is such the
sweetest and I have to say that he is so confident and so curious I can't believe
he's only five or six months old and I've had him ten weeks because he is
already so confident. He doesn't mind being picked up, he's not too confident
being stroked in the cage, he's still quite timid regarding that but
he's curious during floor time, he is not scared to squeak to let you know he's
hungry. He'll take treats from me, he'll eat
his pellets out of my hands and so yeah, I just really want to do this video to
remind people that really guinea pigs do need to be with other
guinea pigs and that to give adoption a chance and really I would strongly
suggest adopt don't shop and I know this is an awkward situation really because
he was available in a shop and it was only because he had a fight that he was
in the adoption bay but it was an adoption story in the end and I
can't believe that it all went together. They've now been together for eight,
no seven of those weeks and literally we've only just had some teenage
issues and he's been so good with Rocky especially as Rocky's has
his issues and he's so sweet. So the moral of the story is
please adopt don't shop and also remember that guinea pigs do need
company - they are social creatures. I heard so many horrible stories
about boys and you shouldn't go more than two, which was one of my
worries when I adopted Rolo but I have to say that certainly what people
say about introducing a younger guinea pig to older ones in this situation did

BREAKING: Obstructionist GOP Senator Blocks President Trump AGAIN… | Top Stories Today - Duration: 2:54.
President Donald Trump is having great difficulty in implementing his agenda due to the establishment
senators who choose to obstruct and delay him out of spite.
On Thursday, Sen. Lisa Murkowski (who was one of 3 GOP senators that voted against the
"skinny repeal" of Obamacare) announced that her Energy and Natural Resources Committee
would be delaying President Trump's latest batch of energy nominations.
She plans to delay them an entire month, waiting until after the August recess.
This came as a surprise to many pundits, because there is plenty of time to confirm them before
the legislative break.
WE reports:
In addition to delaying nominations, the Republican from Alaska has also not rescheduled votes
on six other nominees for the interior and energy departments.
Those committee votes were postponed last week during the healthcare debate.
Murkowski had vowed to move Trump's nominations through the committee process during the extended
August work schedule, which now doesn't look like it will extend past Friday.
The committee announced Thursday that a hearing will be held Sept. 7 to consider the nominations
of Joseph Balash to be assistant secretary of the interior for minerals management, while
taking up Richard Glick's nomination to be a Democratic member of the Federal Energy
Regulatory Commission and Kevin McIntyre to be its Republican chairman.
Both nominees were sent by the White House to the Senate on Wednesday evening for consideration.
The commission members are probably the most pressing to move through the confirmation
process because the energy agency lacks a quorum, meaning it has essentially been shut
down since February.
The Senate energy committee advanced two Republican commissioners in June, but the Senate has
had delays in moving their nominations for a final vote.
Industry groups are champing at the bit to see the quorum restored as soon as possible.
Some said they hoped to see the Republican commissioners confirmed on the floor as soon
as Thursday.
Utility companies told the Senate leadership this week that billions of dollars in energy
infrastructure development have been sidelined because the commission is not in full working
order.
This is the first time in the agency's 40-year history that it had to shutter operations
due to a lack of members, the industry pointed out.
FERC requires at least three of its five members to be in place to perform its approvals and
oversight of the electric grid and natural gas markets.
The five members include two Republicans and two Democrats, with the chairman holding the
same party affiliation as the president.
Democrats in the Senate are said to be holding up floor votes on the two GOP nominees, Neill
Chatterjee and Robert Powelson.
